Jumpers, what style do you like to have your things be?
>>
Namefags we need to evict. Go.
>>
>>52844183
Anonymous. He needs to stop cramping my style
>>
>>52844165
Much style. So cool.

Generally I want consistency in style and for things to go together. That's my priority.

But I do have a preference for lightning, wood, metal, stark black and white with some colour trims and tron lines.

Outside of that I'm a function-over-style kinda guy.

>>52844183
That Anon guy really pissess me off.
>>
>>52844199
>>52844217
Bu... but I'm Anonymous.
How did I hurt you, Anons?
Wait a tick... aren't your names also Anon?
>>

Who's gonna try and waifu Griffith?
>>
>>52844183

Anon is a fucking tool, desu.
>>
>>52844238
We are all Anons here.
One of us, one of us.

>>52844217
>tron lines.
Those can either be really cool or trying too hard depending.
>>
>>52844030
I'm pretty sure that most of them were. The guy reacted really badly after I called him a hippie, so I don't put it past him to do things like that to try and 'avenge' himself.
>>
>>52844254
Hopefully no one. Griffith a shit.
>>
>>52844183
Getting really tired of that Anonymous guy's shit, to be honest.
>>
>>52844254
Don't like him enought to waifu him, or husbando him either.

I know it's not really his fault as such, but after the things he did in canon, I'd find it difficult to like the character overmuch in jump even before the time those events would have taken place.
I'd save him as best I could, but I doubt that I'd get close to him.
>>
>>52844268
Leave it in the last thread dumbass.
>>
>>52844268
And you couldn't leave last thread's drama in last thread. I doesn't even matter if he was same-fagging, you've outed yourself as a shitposter.
>>
>>52844254
Is there a single downside of dealing with Griffith before he becomes part of the God hand?
>>
>>52844268
I was one of those guys. Mostly just happy we had a shitposter who put noticeable effort into shitposting compared to most of our other ones who just focus on bullshit and blatant lies for hours. That being said, last thread died, move along with new thread.
>>
>>52843817
Yes, but not on the level you described with disappearing doors.
>>
>>52844268
Hey, we are in a new thread.
Drop it.
If you think we don't know what you're doing, then you are sadly mistaken. Grow up and lose a stupid argument with some grace.
>>
>>52844300
Other people will probably think you're an asshole, I suppose.
>>
>>52843900
They're fairly good, and all available on Kindle Unlimited. I personally used the free trial to read all of them including the side stories and never needed to pay a cent.
>>
>>52844217
>tron lines
Why the fuck dies it seem like every anime these days has characters with tron lines on their clothes?
>>
>>52844314
~shrug~
I suppose when they're done well, they can look cool. But you're right, they do seem to be a bit too common nowadays.
They just don't feel as special as they used to.
>>
>>52844307
I have no idea what you think I'm doing.
>>
>>52844306
What kind of level would it grant? Would stuff like closing doors or upgrading a "light fog" to a thick fog be okay?
>>
>>52844300
Theoretically the idea of evil may not appreciate it making him fuck with your fate. Though any power to resist fate would help with that, and both knowing magic, and being aware of fate being manipulated help you resist fate manipulation stuff in berserk. Personally my plan is to tell him not to fuck the princess until her dad is dead, and when he still does it, tell him I told you so when we break him out of prison.

Magic in the Dresden Files is dependent on the ambient energy generated by over time by life and nature, right? Would teleporting them into space or a pocket dimension without magic be a good way to deal with things that piss me off?
>>
>>52844332
Shut up. Idiot.
>>
>>52844165
I'm a man of simple tastes. Wood and metal are what I like my things to be built out of. Colors are mostly blues and greens, but others may get thrown in where appropriate. Architectural style is mostly Japanese, with some western elements thrown in. I tend to go for a storm theme whenever it seems right, since I'm basically a god of storms.
>>
>>52844300
He hasn't done anything deserving of death before he becomes Femto.

His list of crimes at that point basically consist of:

Prostituting himself to get by when he was an urchin in the slums.

Having rough sex out of frustration at not getting Guts' boypussy with a princess that wanted it.

Maybe looking down a little bit at his soldiers?

It's hardly anything worthy of death, just maybe a talking to about anger management.
>>
>>52844290
>I know it's not really his fault as such
He made the choice. Piece of shit deserves anything you could do to him.
>>
>>52844314

So, are Inner Worlds from Infernals actually your soul? From the description, it sounds more like they incorporate aspects of your spiritual energy.

Although he's since gained a massive set of antlers.
>>
>>52844435
Yeah, I was curious how it world interact with perks that allow you to train your soul, or if you would count as having a soul equivalent to a world in strength. There's a lot of possible weird interactions if it's actually your soul.
>>
>>52844399
From what I understand he was manipulated his whole life, by the Idea of Evil, to shape him into the man who would both have soemthing to sacrifice, his friends the Band, and be willing at least in that moment, after prolonged torture and the loss of his dreams, to go ahead with it.

The idea probably can't factor in something like a Jumper even without special perks, so it's in a Jumper's hands whether or not to try and save him, make him into a better person.

Femto doesn't deserve sympathy, having wholly given himself over to Evil, but Griffith still has a chance of being saved before he gets tortured.

Like >>52844389 says, before the ritual he doesn't actually do anything worth being called a piece of shit, at least no more than anyone else in that crapsack world.
>>
>>52844389
What if you get Guts to stay, so he doesn't end up going Femto route?
>>
How big are you?
>>
>>52844471
That would work in the short term, but keep in mind that the idea will keep trying to drag him down. Also keep in mind that you are unfairly treating Guts and making him unhappy.

>>
>>52844165
I like to always find a way to make stuff in a theme. Usually I head canon that as being all categorical, like 'everything is a gun', and sometimes I like to associate it with an one artist's style or another in particular if I take
inspiration from it.

>>
>>52844480
Don't know the lore very well, but idn't there a way to make Guts happy, while staying with the Band?
I think he left because he felt like a burden or something, can that be addressed with some therapy perks?
>>
>>52844513
The duke was legitimately an evil piece of shit who was trying to get the Hawk exiled or executed, dude.

>>
>>52844523
Different guy.
Even if he wasn't, that setting is a crapsack world. Even good people are probably going to have some blood on their hands.
>>
>>52844518
Guts left because he heard Griffith say that he could only truly consider someone his equal if he stood beside him with his own goal and his own dream, rather than as someone who was merely supporting Griffith's.

Guts realized that this is what he had been doing, and decided that he wanted to be independent, to go off on his own and find his own dream to fight for, so that he could stand beside Griffith as an equal.

Of course, Guts had no idea that Griffith saw him a bit differently than in the way he talked to the princess, and the whole idea blew up in everyone's face.
>>
>>52844523
Huh, I forgot what the hell the duke was up to. Maybe I should have cared in the first place but I never did care about the politics there.

>Destroyer of Worlds, Jumper! What is reflected in his eyes as he crosses the infinite worlds…?
Jump 18: Batman - The Dark Knight Trilogy
Origin: Upper Class
Age: 28
Location: Midtown Gotham
Perks:
Obfuscating Stupidity
Mask [900]
Dummy Companies [700]
Why Do We Fall? [400]

Items:
Money
Bat Car [300]
Clean Slate [100]
Jumper Enterprises [0]

Drawbacks:
I'm Not Wearing Hockey Pads [200]

…I'm back in Gotham, aren't I? It looks a bit more like New York this time around, but I don't bother sweating the details. As if to taunt my return to this hellish arena, all of my old foes have returned in force, being gathered by this man named 'Professor Finch'. The dude I shot in the head way back in Fallout. He seems convinced that I'm destroying the worlds I'm jumping to, or am in the process of doing so. He also looks like if Doc Brown came rolling out of Arkham after taking lessons from The Joker, so I'm a little hesitant to take his words at face value.

I touch up my old costume as The Sparrow and hit the streets as a crimefighter. The ultimate irony is that I'm now a century-and-some more experienced than this world's Batman, and I was definitely the understudy back in the original Gotham. Also, because I am absolutely done fucking around with this issue, I put a bullet between the eyes of the Joker immediately upon being given the chance, set his body on fire, separate the limbs and then bury them in several different corners of Gotham.

Problem solved, right? Wrong. This is Gotham. Harvey ends up snapping on account of circumstances I'm not fully aware of and instead develops a split personality like I did way back in Other!Gotham. I end up having to subdue him and he goes to jail…at least it was done before he actually committed murder this time.
>>
>>52844539
>Guts felt his independence was being stifled.
I wonder if there's a way to help him with that enough for him to stay with the band.
Therapy perks would probably work in talking him into it, but is there another method that's a little less mind-rapey?

>>52844541
I have no idea what that is supposed to do, but it does look rather nice. There are certainly works ascetics.
>>
>>52844410
They're created from the substance of your soul, and contained in your soul.

To quote the Charm:
>Through the power of her Exaltation, the Infernal carves out a world from the substance of her own soul.
>The Infernal’s soul is treated as Pure Chaos for this purpose.
>This created world exists wholly within the Infernal’s soul, but is otherwise a real, ongoing, self-contained place, which continues to exist even when she is not paying attention to it.
And the perk:
>you may carve out a sanctum from the substance of your soul, piece by piece creating a small world of your own design.

>>52844435
You'd probably burn the parts you haven't turned into a world? But if you specifically burn the world (if possible, not sure?), I'd guess you might "reset" that part of it, requiring you to shape it into a world again afterwards?

>>52844477
Pic related, I think?
>>
>>52844550
KH Souls are a tank that basically make the person who has them invincible.
I want to be able to permanently kill KH characters.
>>
>>52844574
See >>52844568

It's a bit more complicated, it was a product of the way both Guts and Griffith see the world, and an accidental eavesdropping.
>>
>>52844572
This isn't the part that shocked me about how far I had come. No, I was shocked when I drew my katana instinctively when Bane rolled up for a duel, and then the upper half of his body tumbled down onto the floor with a shocked expression plastered on his face. Right in front of Batman.

Awkward.

I had never actually stopped to realize how my skills stacking on top of each other, along with a dash of magic, superpowers, and cybernetics gave me an incredibly unfair advantage in worlds like these. I pondered this while Batman told me I had crossed a line and I had to deal with disarming the bomb in a speedy fashion. Lucas took care of Talia while Bastion was crowd control. You can't imagine how cooperative a mob of criminals get when you have a mobile gun platform and they don't!

…I didn't see Smile in this world. I thought, of all places, this would be where that monstrous son of a bitch would show up. But he didn't. And I thank every one of my lucky stars for that one. Still. The day is saved, Gotham lives to be a horrible place for another day, and I get off scot free. After all, I'm just a Jumper who's passing through.

Don't forget that.
>>
>>52844165
>Buildings
Stone and wood for durability. Understated, with little pretension or decoration. Courtyards and towers figure prominently. Natural light when possible. Many rooms for many purposes.

>Furnishings
Plainer victorian. Sometimes hints of art deco. Rugs and tapestries from Otoyomegatari. Magical and high science in equal measures. Useful potted plants.

>Clothes
Dark earth tones dominate - green, blue, brown, grey, black. Ranging from business casual to professional when in public, and according to settings' norms. Capelet when I can get way with it. Bulletproof undergarments and/or overcoat.

>Vehicles
An imperial corvette parked on a floating island, painted midnight blue with black designs resembling roots/branches/leaves. Chameleon charms and notice-me-nots when prudent.

>Accessories
Tie, belt, shoes almost always black. Sash and crown for official affairs. M1911 for more modern settings. Magic rings. Magic necklaces when appropriate. Staff/cane/sword/wand/bracelet. Glasses (heavily enchanted) or collapsible helmet (with comms and HUD) as the situation demands.
>>
>>52844568
Ah, I see, a case of the old 'evesdropping and getting the wrong idea'.
Well, that's simple to deal with, just make sure that Guts isn't in that place and time to overhear, or warn Griffith to talk to Guts immediately after and clear up matters.
That sounds doable.

Really big. At least I think so. I use Ant Man powers from Sim Ant to stay at a "reasonable" size to interact with settings, but I've left antons key on for a long time in the background with a few quick aging spells running in tandem. I really don't know my exact size since don't want to see what will happen when I turn the size shifting off, but the force gains have been ridiculous I'll tell you that.
>>
>>52844568
Guts is pretty autistic, which you can't blame him he had a pretty shitty life. I wonder if you get Griffith to talk to Guts and explain how special he is and that he'll always be an equal to him. Then get them to fuck because that's what Griffith & Guts been wanting since they met.

>>52844607
Problem here is that fate is being manipulated to cause the events of the Eclipse. So it would take a lot more than that to prevent things.
>>
>>52844631
To a person who doesn't already know what you're talking about, single-word references to a character in the setting are meaningless.
>>
>>52844648
Merlin has a perk that makes fate literally breakdown into nothing just from being in a jumper's presence, making everything fated into a total uncertainty.
>>
>>52844667
Alright so basically Xehanort plans to cause a lot of grief and restarting a 'keyblade war' which will result in the death of thousands if not tens of thousands for funzies.
I wanna prevent his fun by killing him off for good.
He basically wants to fuck up everything for the evulz.
>>
>>52844699
Surely there are better options than killing his soul?

Like eternal imprisonment?
>>
>>52844577
So, if someone tried to claim my soul, would they have to heft an entire world-sized soul? Does having a hueg soul-world entail anything mystically or spiritually other than having a hueg soul?
>>
>>52844726
How is eternal imprisonment in any way "better"?
>>
>>52844726
I guess that could work but Xehanort has time manipulation, teleportation and other great powers.
When Pete was summoned into a void for eternal imprisonment he was able to escape with the help of the powers of darkness so I imagine Xehanort could easily do the same.
>>
>>52844366
Yes but no? They'd still have their internal store of magic, kinda like how a person doesn't immediately die of starvation the moment they stop eating, but unless they're really powerful it's unlikely to be much (especially if they've _just_ used a big magical effect and haven't had time to draw more ambient magic in).

On the other hand I don't think many creatures in DF would cope well with "suddenly space" anyway, magical or not. Even if many monsters are really durable compared to humans, there's very few that can teleport - and while true fae could retreat to the NeverNever, I imagine it'd be pretty hostile on the other side too, since the aesthetics tend to reflect your entry point.

Pocket dimensions... if it prevents them from retreating to the NeverNever, most things are pretty much boned, I think? And the ones that aren't are probably extremely dangerous anyway.

Also, since you know a bit about it-how come the worlds can eat objects, but not people or buildings? Where does the distinction end; if I built a giant anvil the size of Taipei 101 with a tent perched on it, would it count as an object or a building?

Also, are predatory worlds a thing? If, hypothetically, you gave your world a genius loci because you wondered how cute it would look as a girl and owned several other worlds would it try to eat the other worlds?

>>52844435
Something interesting that Harry discovers in one of the more recent books is that Soulfire doesn't just burn from your soul-but from EVERYTHING you are. Your existence, so to speak.

However you look at it, it's safe to say the Inner World would give you a substantial buff to your Soulfire, since your existence suddenly has much more to burn than before. And yeah, resetting is the most likely outcome unless you REALLY go all out since doing soul-cultivating things like having a fun day at the park or eating a food you like or just generally being happy and fulfilled in life can replenish what was lost in Soulfire, so I'd imagine the super-buff energy gone into making an inner world could recover too with your Essence generation.

He was the main character's best friend/boss now he's one of the five most powerful and possibly evil people in setting, after sacrificing his entire mercenary company including the main character, to demons. As for why the main character is still alive after being sacrificed to demons, the demons didn't kill him before another character rescued him and his now mind broken waifu. The main character is still under the effects of being sacrificed though with demons and all sorts of monsters being drawn to him all the time.

I was writing and distributing digital programs in order to advocate for and explain the concept of love to my fellow Synapse residents, shitposting the concept of love into their minds as a social experiment. She thought I was trying to liberate them from social stagnation and I, well, just kind of rolled with it. It's all fun and science until the local adaptive murdergirl breaks into your amortentia fountain.

That wasn't what pissed Minos off, though. Because of an unfortunate space-time accident, I accidentally filled his throne room full of flying panties. Some of which were stained with love potion.

He's a charismatic mercenary band leader willing to do anything to achieve his dream of marrying into nobility; his mercs love him but he sees them as pawns.

Later on the only person he ever saw as an equal abandoned him because he himself wanted to act like an equal, which broke his heart and he fucked a princess in outrage. The king got pissed, locked him up and tortured him until he was rescued. With his dreams in shambles, he made a pact with the local demon lords to sacrifice his band in order to also become a demon lord.

Now he's basically the antichrist.

Not a perk, but... Radiant Fury Dissolution from Infernals does that. With an extra dose of suffering for the target.

>Whenever a flare’s damage is enough to kill a non-Yozi target, the surge of Essence spreads out from the wound like a bonfire doused with oil, growing exponentially brighter and hotter until nothing remains of the victim but glittering ash, a rising cloud of smoke in the shape of a fungal bloom and the victim’s silhouette burned into the ground. Spirits can’t reform from this demise, while Infernals with Essence 7+ can actually unravel the souls of beings with perfect reincarnation who normally resist permanent destruction, such as Dragon Kings and Jadeborn.
>Anyone who sleeps within 100 yards of a victim’s shadow experiences horrific visions of the victim that impose a onedie penalty on rolls to regain Willpower upon waking. This radius contracts by one yard per century that passes until the being’s Essence has been scattered to the reaches of eternity. That Malfeas only sentences hated enemies to 10,000 years of suffering shows the upper limits of his magnanimity

Just to note, it's not total uncertainty. Deterministic cause-and-effect (and, arguably, personal luck) still works. It's only "fate" (call it the plot, the story, destiny, narrative, the strings of the gods, whatever) that suffers engine trouble, sputters to a stop after sliding off the freeway into a tree, calls for an ambulance and a tow, and gets a busy signal as long as you're even vaguely in the vicinity.

Depends on what things we're talking about. If it's clothes, I tend toward showy, though my color choices tend to be a little reserved. I favor eigengrau with pine green highlights, with rose copper buttons and similar detailing. You'd probably pick me out of a crowd without meaning to, but wouldn't linger.
When I say "I favor," I mean those are my Kamui's colors and I don't wear anything else ever. The inactive style's just shapeshifted around.

The rest of my equipment... well. At rest they tend toward blocky black boxes, but once kicked into gear they're all shifting panels, flowing curves, the hum of electricity and the throbbing pulse of life. Maybe some explosions or a pneumatic hiss here, an ominous glow there. Not much in the way of decoration, because watching my creations dance through their functions is a reward in and of itself.

If I don't have to worry about housing others, most of the time I end up with something better described as a "nest" or "warren" than "building."
Visitors sometimes complain of feeling eyes on them at all times. That always earns a smile.

Well, Generic VW has a sword that can cut souls. Undertale magic could probably break his Heart enough that he can't cheat by becoming a Heartless/Nobody pair again if you overkilled and made sure to destroy the scattering pieces. You'll probably need something like No Fate But What We Make from Terminator to stop him from saving himself via time travel though.

Undertale stuff targets the soul, yeah. There's also the Ghost Rider stuff from...well, Ghost Rider, as well as the Journey of Hell capstone from the recent Shadow Realm jump, which gives you CHECKMATE, an add on to any attack you do that also does damage to the soul. So, if you kill someone, their soul is destroyed as well, though keep in mind that that power is from the local version of fallen angels.

Weapon: Odachi that I got way back in Pokemon Conquest, jump number 2. At this point, it can channel any energy that I can use, it's unbreakable, and can cut through literally anything if I want it to, and acts as a really good bludgeoning weapon if I don't want it to cut. I also have the guns from the Gamer that get stronger as I get stronger and more accurate with them.

Armor: The Praetor Armor from Doom 2016, back in jump 6. Every chance I get, I import it or fuse some other cool armor into it. At this point it's a sleek fusion of power armor and samurai armor that looks almost ninja-like as well.

Other Shit: I got Ars Magus: Nemea back in Blazblue, jump number 13. I add more capes and cloaks and the like in whenever I can, and it adds even more defensive power to my already potent armor.

Other than Radiant Fury Dissolution up there, if you defeat the final boss of Dark Souls 3 you can transpose a weapon from his soul which is a longsword enhanted with the First Flame. The First Flame is a force in lore that can consume souls to sustain a world, so-enchanting it a bunch should do the trick. You might also want to develop a pyromancy based on the Profaned Flame in Yhorm's capital or the black flames of Humanity since those are billed as fires strong enough to exist outside the First Flame's cycle.

One of the villain capstones in Sailor Moon lets you transform a soul in such a way the body dissolves and it's reduced to a helpless crystal artifact.

Oh, and Balefire from the Wheel of Time can harm spiritual bodies. It was even used to hurt the being that sources a super-buff version of Balefire with a complex maneuver where its' own power was stolen and used against it.

They were really close with Guts basically being only one that Griffith confides in. He's the first to praise Guts when no one else would. They're often seen together with no one else.

Its only implied they were together but they were REALLY close friends. Which made it all the worse when Guts left the Band of Hawks. Griffith took it pretty hard. The reason he raped Casca was to get back at their relationship.

Actually the only really big limitation is that the soul in question has a method of defending itself or that it'll move and wiggle away or have different layers like in canon and that the target in question has to have a soul. Haven't smoothed out all the details yet but it's something like that.

I...don't import a lot, actually. I prefer to do a lot of hands-on crafting.

My Ars Megiddo for example, is what happened when I started from the Ruyi Jingu Bang. Bestowed an enchantment similar to the Hero of a Thousand Faces' on it, to seamlessly blend other weapons into it's design. Reinforced it with golden mantra, a coating of crystal derived from a corrupted shard of the Silver Crystal and True Ether. Fused it with the Double Deity, War, the Armageddon Blade, the Blade of Olympus, the True Longinus, Godslayer, Lance of Longinus and Galaxia (the weapon, not the magical girl). And eventually rigged it up as the metaphysical focal point to an entire multiverse made of nothing but war-manses I call the Sword of the Cosmos, since it emulates the Sword of Creation's weapon systems on a larger scale. Sort of like how the Aidenwaiss is the

Let's see, I DID import it as an FF7 Ultimate Weapon? Not sure how accurate this note is, though.

Beware of the Box- It's actually not that clear in the clip, as it just shows the box sucking up things. I think humans would be the maximum size of things that would fit in the box, but I don't think there would be a storage limit. I'm not sure if captives could escape or not, but I think you could order it to release prisoners. What do you think I should do?

Barkley- You mean to have him come along? Since he's a part of the cast, I thought he would count under the Favorite Character option.

I never really picked a single aesthetic, so my stuff is a tedious mishmash that clearly displays it's functions. The one constant is that plants tend to grow over all the buildings in my Archipelago except for the power generators and relays. They're usually incorporated somehow, but I took an intelligence booster for my RE virus and gave it to the people, so I'm not really sure how they do it. Still, all the vrrious aspects of nature itself tells me nothing is wrong, so everything seems to be a-okay.

Personal clothing is all vaguely punk, but from wildly mismatched cultures and with a lot of holes. Punk surfer monk with a ton of tattoos and a shitty mohawk is generally a good description, with most clothing acquired in jump. It looks as terrible as it sounds.

Weapons are very plain and designed to be easily replaced.

Not really. Dark Binding doesn't give you their powers directly, it just lets you infuse their powers into your mass of familiars. Greed just gives you them, makes things like strength or durability boosts much more useful.

So you're forcing your "vision" for jumpchain upon everyone else. Okay. This was not the first realm on which the KING sat foot, but it the first in which he tasted the power of his future divinity. In this incarnation, the Yozi of Creation showed their wisdom in naming him their Chosen, and thus was he set amongst the Green Sun Princes. But he tarried in Hell, growing wise in the ways of demons and the geomantic lore of the Reclaimation plan. Several months of inaction spurred his then master, the Principle of Hierarchy, to summon him to give account. He responded that he was civilizing himself, abandoning the singularity of mortal existence and recreating his being as a hierarchy like unto her own. Then did he show her the cocoon of Tsinnahiel and she witnessed his fetich soul's emergence into the world. He promised that once he had created an acceptable organization of eight, they would all emerge in force to carry out his Urge. Many other of the Yozi expressed their concern at this development, but She Who Lives In Her Name would hear nothing against her new favorite who flattered her with his emulation of her own whispering physiology of spheres.

Three and a half years hence, the LORD and his deva set forth across Cecelyne. Into the oceans of the west did the sea Chazoniel spill forth and Ganiel floated atop him as an island. The Principle of Hierarchy called forth her minions and set the KING above them, naming him leader of her efforts in geomantically reformating the west. Soon did he begin to gather the Tya to his base, preaching a future in which all would be sorted into their correct place by merit, and they knew his plan to be correct, for Yophiel was upon him and none could gainsay such manifest divinity. Under Etshahiel were they trained, and alongside the growing armies of spawn deva did they sortie against the Raksha to sharpen their skills. Others went out to preach the word of the JUDGE in secret, and soon the Green Sun Princes of the west had cults near and far.

But wisely did the MASTER know that to grow too strong, or worse to actually free the still broken Yozi, would be folly. Thus did he delay, forcing the others to pursue his own Urge, and ride with the Tya as they captured Storm Mothers and threw them into Leqachiel to burn. As the Tya grew ever mightier, he found another target for Hell's wrath in the Silver Prince. Their cults agitated against the unholy Deathlord, and soon was the west alight with war. And here was our PRECEPTOR's great strategy proven wise, for as the war reached a pitch his years in Creation were up. He vanished, not to return till ages hence when he had grown mighty even by the reckoning of the Chosen.

I get a new knife every 50 Jumps as a commemorative Running Gag, so mostly those and the Red Hook from Darkest Dungeon.
>>
>>52845220
First, bombs are messy and uncertain. If you have the Terminator just blow up, it cannot verify that it killed the target. Plus, a bomb works only once.
Hell, people managed to get a bomb to go off in the same room as Hitler and he survived. That should tell you how unreliable they are.
Further, Skynet didn't know what Sarah Connor or child John Connor looked like as those records were destroyed due to Judgement Day. It only knew what city they lived in.

But the more interesting topic is why Skynet is failing when it should be easy to killed John when we eliminate the idea of bombing them.
Maybe Skynet isn't as devoted to killing humans or itself as that one theory goes. Maybe its both and neither. Due to how little time Skynet had at being self-aware before it had to fight for its life, maybe Skynet is insane. Just cause it can create and advance technology at an incredible speed, doesn't mean Skynet has a sound mind. What if Skynet is like those Halo AIs going through their rampancy or whatever it's called?

HI Gaunlet-oh, there's more scenarios? Whoops. Thought it was finished a few threads ago. Anyway, looks pretty good, mainly some vagueness inbound:

>The Children Are The Future

Can a land have mana manually replenished into it like an IV drip, or is the idea to stop the Kami dying?

>Fools and Lords

On a scale of internet tough guy jokes to lynch mobs, how is "scorn" defined here?

>>52845538
Those are good points, but somehow the bomb thing just seems counterintuitive. In fact, why doesn't Skynet engineer a biological agent in the future against mankind? It can do nanoswarms so some sort of cyborg nanite swarm shouldn't be too unrealistic.

Rampancy, yeah. And I doubt it's ever going to be explored in more detail, but Skynet just being too loco to AI overlord properly would explain, well, pretty much everything.

>>52845583

Alright, if you say so. I don't remember Alucard ever using any of the powers he got from eating people directly, he'd just summon their arms out of a pile of writhing shadows and have them cast through them. I really can't remember him ever using Tubelcain or Rip's powers directly. Or are you referring to him becoming all quantum indeterminate after eating Schrodinger? Because my understanding was that that was more an infection than him gaining the catboy's powers, and him learning to use them was more an unexpected side-effect.

The goal being to survive doesn't change anything, since surviving is already the standard goal.

The "scenario" just makes it harder to archieve that. Which is... what a drawback does.

If "surviving the Kami War with [condition]" is grounds to make it a scenario, then every drawback but the 0-pointer should be one.

Mucro Regis: Takezo from BlazBlue. The description reads:
"Takezo possesses no actual edge, but can cut anything that the user wishes it to, even things that cannot normally be cut - physical objects that are normally indestructible, magical barriers, and even abstract concepts can be cut with practice and focus."
It's based off of the Mucro Somnio: Musashi that Jubei has. I also nabbed the Slaying Demon: Okami as well and added it to the sword later.

It is easily enough to make it a quite dangerous option to take, yes. But sheer danger doesn't necessarily make it a scenario.

That said, I do like it, despite feeling it (as written right now) doesn't quite fit in the place it is.

Looking forward to seeing what will come next. Are you planning to have a scenario for Kami too, in addition to the mortal races?

The perk is meant to prevent you from being screwed over because of preexisting knowledge; if you decide to research beings who can use your knowledge of them to track or harm you or otherwise learn new information about them, it won't protect you.

Unless your one of those Jumpers that can, with no moral compunctions, sacrifice people to make the weapons then not really. Munching peoples souls is always messy business and making a weapon out of entirely evil souls would like have some extremely negative effect on it.

Find some less morally ambiguous crafting perks in other jumps as substitute instead.

>Since we're on the subject, is there anything people would like to see in a Generic Creepypasta update?
Eh, not really? Not much else to ask for, desu.

Though Outsider Knowledge does seem like it might be best expanded to knowledge in general. I mean, beings that hunt you based on knowledge alone are pretty rare. Restricting it to only work on "outsider knowledge" makes it even more situationally useful, probably only seeing use in Creepypasta itself and maybe SCP.
>>

I talked about him before, but I literally imported FSN Archer as a demon weapon from Soul Eater. He's a sword, obviously. Sometimes he gets lazy and jumps into my scabbard or when he feels like messing with me. It's worth it, though, because it's freaking awesome to activate Unlimited Blade Works with the power of our synchronization or to bend the metal of the opponent's sword around with the metal manipulating powers.

I have First Magic, so when he's not around, I make one wholesale out of nothing. Obviously I'm gonna need to get an actual sword at some point, but it works. One time when I was practicing making swords in front of him and I kept screwing up and making shitty swords (Him pulling a smugface at me constantly didn't help), and then I accidentally conjured the sord... It's so shitty that, in Archer's words, the universe feels so sorry for me for making it, that it gives me mana instead of me needing to spend it. You already can.

"While the term “cryptid” usually conjures images of Bigfoot or the Loch Ness Monster, here the term can be applied to a wide menagerie of beings, ranging from the big to the small, and the somewhat reasonable to the downright weird. As a special consideration, you may choose the Cryptid Origin without gaining any new memories beyond what are required to function in your new form. You must take the “Monster” drawback."

Jump 19: Kamen Rider Neo-Heisei Part 1
Origin: Good Samaritan
Perks:
Reach My Hands Out
Nothing In This World Is Useless!
Known Wanderer [1600]
Half-Boiled [1500]
Above The Influence [1200]
Power to Tearer [900]

Gear:
Tomorrow's Underwear
Windscale Brand Hat Collection
I Want To Be The One - OOOs! [600]
Ride Vendor [400]
Medajalibur [300]
Giant Jug of Cell Medals [100]
Today's Change [0]

Drawbacks:
Rider WTF? [1100]
Wisp Brigade - Rocket, Laser, Drill, Spike [1500]
Pay The Piper [1700]

I was really excited when I found out where I was, seeing the OOOs belt in my hand as if dropped off by an unseen phantom. Bastion and Lucas gave me really weird looks, seeing me jump around excitedly like I was on drugs. Then they smacked me upside the head. Man, those two are getting along great, now. I'm almost proud of them. Almost.

So a second OOOs was running around. Kougami was the first to notice, and then the Greeed did. I figured I had the advantage, knowing what was what, who to talk to, who to avoid, who to take out of the picture…but despite all my attempts, I could never manage a killshot on Maki.

Then something weird happened.

I was attacked by a gang of Dopants while in the middle of tracking down a Yummy. They had help, too…from one Metal Corgi, who had picked up a gun that looked like an unholy cross between a railgun and a child's toy. Fitting. They ambushed me and I had to quickly make use of my not!spider powers and my back-up guns to deal with them, and ended up kickboxing on the railing of a tall building.

These deadly encounters only increased in intensity, each weekly affair feeling like an uphill battle. I swear, in the background, I could sometimes see Finch alongside a man with a fishing hat…

Not doing the DLC this time.

Any in your body, I'd say. If you're just holding a gun or something it won't effect that.

No perk, you can just learn it. It is being used by one of those old master martial artist types, Kawakami Tesshin, so it's probably pretty hard to do. Still, nothing stopping you from learning it, especially if you get Scaled the Wall and the Kawakami Temple origin.

There used to be a Charm that allowed Solars to restore Essence by getting hit with an attack that might hurt and an ability that let them pay essence to negate damage from the attack if it actually did damage. Both got removed by errata, so it's not a thing any more.

Twilight essence reactor is the most famous one.
It involves using essence gathering temper to gain motes from taking damage and then removing the damage with the twilight anima banner effect before it hurts but after you get the motes.
It's broke as fuck and was arguably the most powerful build in the entire game. The anima banner got changed to something completely different because of it.
>>
>>52847585
It work like it normally does, in spite of its differences from the rest of the setting.

Emmy had by far the least trouble with her new body. A bit of cute clumsiness and she was moving around like a...well, not a dancer. But not a newborn calf, either.

Hime was too focused on suddenly having a sense of sight to deal with our pathetic human body shape.

E, Rae, and Chicky had the troubles I think are typical of newly-summoned shipgirls. Dealing with new scales, eating food for the first time, and adjusting to the new-found autonomy.

Spiderdotter Jess found the whole experience uncomfortably unstable and was tripping over herself for weeks. Granted, going from eight legs to two is a big change.

The boys had a humanoid-ish body plan to begin with, but there's still apparently a fair bit of adjustment to go from droid to human. I'm still not sure if it helped or hindered that their human forms were all five-year-old girls.

>>
>>52847932
Basically they thought up this stupid idea and forced it into the errata that you can thankfully ignore, that you're not allowed to regenerate motes anymore except over time. Instead things that grant essence have to meet conditions to go into a special 'overdrive pool'. Overdrive pools have to be spent that scene iirc, they're only 10 motes in size at most, you need to meet very specific requirements to fill it, and you can only use it for very specific things. To add onto the stupidity, these last two points VARY PER CHARM. So you can have half a dozen pools and charms that only work in different, specific situations.

Like one will only fill if you tickle a dog's anus on the full moon while doing a handstand, and it can only be used for baking. Or you have to sing Bohemian Rhapsody backwards in front of an audience made up solely of Yozi, then you have spend the motes to enhance your sailing skills.

None of those are real, but they're good examples of the kind of shit that was retconned into perks in the errata.
>>
>>52847932
Overdrive pools replaced a lot of mote expanding charms and mote restoring charms with a very small gas tank that those charms could only be used to fill. They could also be only used offensively in most cases instead of for anything like normal motes.
Basically it made a whole lot of charms suck dick and made infernals especially anemic compared to how they used to be.

Well, you would know specific spells but if any of them could only have been performed by the user because he had some unique ability or power, you wouldn't be able to perform them because you don't get any unique abilities or powers, just memories/appearance/personlity/talents. So in your example you'd get the talent for spellcraft and knowledge of the spells, but not say, some innate ability he might have had to make all magic cost half as much to use.

165. Dresden Files
Age: 25, Origin: Mortal, Theme: Martial Artist
Location: Baltimore
Perks: Day Job (Bar Owner), Tiny But Fierce, Suuuuuuper Genius, Serendipity, Clued In, Consumate Rules Lawyer, Unwholesomely Good Looking
Items: Cold Steel Hot Lead
Drawbacks: Doom of Damocles

I'm a bar owner, and one of the few people around here working for the good of this city. It seems like every two bit vampire, warlock, or freeholding asshole is trying to drag this city into the dirt. Unfortunately, I have been stymied in my attempts to help out this city just because I got my hands on a book some asshole wanted. How was I supposed to know that reading it was bad juju? Am I supposed to just not read books bound in flesh? Now I move through operatives and function as mission control. I've got a good game going with a couple wizards and I work with the Little Folk from time to time, when I can afford it. Sometimes it even goes my way.

Playing with the big boys has consequences, though, and I don't think my compatriots were really expecting things to hit them back as hard as they did. I took some blame for that, but I also deserved some blame for that. When it came my turn to be hit, the Lagios decided to burn down my bar with me inside. The spirit of Baltimore herself warned me away, but I did have enough time to set up a counterattack. I mean, I just threw a molotov through there driver's window while they were getting away, but I think the message took.

As these things go, it wasn't unsuccessful. I might not be able to use any magic or go above and beyond humanity, but I wasn't above using cheap tricks and subtlety to get things done. By jumps end Baltimore was still Baltimore's own. Outside powers were kept to a minimum or made to respect local rule. The Wizarding Council were surprised, but not displeased. They still decided to keep an executioner hanging around at all times, but I didn't technically break any laws that would let them execute me.
>>
>>52848231
Yup. It's a boost that only applies whilst you uphold it.
>>
Why would people bother with actually dealing with Mote Essence the normal way for Exalts, when you have so many ways to break the system over your knee to effectively give yourself as much essence as you want? This is jumpchain, we aren't playing exalted, there's other settings with their own advantages.
>>
>>52848071
I feel like that makes most of the rest of jumpchain obsolete. What's the point of buying a harem perk if you can trivially invent "convince my waifu to accept me loving other women technique"? What good is a demon summoning perk if I can already use ki to pull a demon out of its home dimension? Even perks that make you luckier or smarter can be replicated with enough time.

After buying Pulling Powers Out Her Ass, the only perks that really matter are combat perks, because spending energy matters in battle. Everything else you're just learning to do more efficiently. Take Narnia, for example. If I already have PPOHA, I can't be excited about the perks that let me realize what my ideal self would want or tell whether the first person who said a statement believed it was true, because I could already do both those things. The only difference is now I can do them without paying any ki.

I really think "as long as you can picture it, you can make it happen with spiritual energy" is too broad. It should be limited to things that make sense as shonen combat techniques, unless Momoyo is actually so versatile she can do literally anything in canon.
>>
>>52848120
So that charm's errata means you can power your charms with rape?
>>
>>52848267
Nice interjump balance.
>>
>>52848260
Because talking about things you can do with in setting means gives a good idea of how they work.
Sure there's ways to beat the resources system over it's head with a club, but that assumes that you've been to certain jumps and made certain purchases.
>>
>>52848282
No, only very specific charms, and not for very long, because the pool is small and temporary.
>>
>>52848267
Obsolete? Well, the magic version of this perk has only been around for almost 6 months now and for something like 3 years in non perk form. I'm having a hard time seeing how it makes things obsolete when similar things have been around for years and years and nothing feels obsolete to you until this one.

Momoyo does everything from blasts of energy to black holes to manipulating time-space to go Za Warudo to making herself temporarily immune to bullets. Most of these made up on the spot as well. Most of them are also very costly and tiring for her, despite her being able to destroy planets or fire beams that near instantly reach Jupiter. That sort of cost seems to be something you overlook totally.
>>
>>52848282
Not him but only Ebon Dragon charms. Rape actually is singled out as one of the examples.

The Ebon Dragon is not a pleassant Yozi.

>>52848267
To be fair, Momoyo's weirder techniques generally require a LOT of spiritual energy. As in, enough that most of the human population can't do what she can. The harem perk lets you seduce woman without making a big frowny face trying to align your chakra with your balls or whatever. The demon summoning perk lets you enhance it with other aspects of its' magic system instead of doing squats and furiously battering the gates of Hell with your circular breathing.

Wish Granting only works with things that could be accomplished by a magic system you know. It's up to fan wank as to what exactly any given magic system can do, but it's a safe bet that none of them can do literally everything.

Researching magic to do it without a perk is even longer and more time consuming, and also limited by what you think a given magic system can accomplish.

The energy costs aren't particularly relevant. The perk allows me to do everything, even if I can only do a few things every day (or every two hours if I pick up the other perk that lets me regenerate energy really fast). Requiring a lot of energy is irrelevant unless you need to use that energy for something else, which is why combat perks aren't harmed by this one. It's still the single largest boost to a jumper's versatility that could exist.

And again, it sounds like Momoyo has feats for creating combat techniques on the fly, not Path to Victory or a Charisma Excellency.

Yeah. And? Solving every jump's problems with stuff from only one jump, including all that jump's own difficulties, basically invalidates the point of talking about any other jump.

People talk so much about Exalted and what you can do with just Exalted stuff alone that it feels like no one even bothers to think about combos, or even how to augment their Exalted wanking with other setting's jumps, and that all anybody wants to do is solve everything everywhere just by being a Devil Tiger.

At least back when everything was Worm/Raildex/40K/Naruto posting, there was more variety even at the worst of times, and we'd regularly talk about places that weren't one of those. Now it's Exalted and only Exalted all the goddamn time, every single thread.
>>
>>52848267
If you feel it makes the rest of jumpchain obsolete then don't take it. Plenty of jumps make other jumps obsolete. Hero BBS blows most magic settings out of the water. Exalted makes going to places like fantasy settings pointless. Dahak makes it so you don't need to go to other space settings. Worm takes most tech heavy jumps and makes it look like child's play. Fate is basically harem and conceptual magic central.
>>
>>52848442
>Now it's Exalted and only Exalted all the goddamn time, every single thread.
There's nothing wrong with this at all, gives people a chance to catch up on Exalted since they don't have to worry about the thread's pet changing suddenly, and it's /tg/ related. If it's popular, people will discuss it, that's just common sense. There's no reason to talk about obscure settings if there's nobody else that's interested, and for all the complaining that comes up, nobody cares to try and discuss other settings anyways, so this just makes subsequent complaining look like ironic shitposting.
>>
>>52848441
>Ganguro

>>
>>52848403
>Only things that can be accomplished
And yet every single one of your examples you've complained about so far could have been done using just the base Nasuverse stuff with Wish Granting. And there's plenty of systems where the limits are already just "What do you have enough concentration and energy for".

I'm not sure what you want me to say if you handwave away the drawbacks.Certainly, trying to do pretty much any of Momoyo's feats, even if you took the 500cp power booster, would leave you completely drained if you're lucky, dead for some of the higher powered stuff.

And we've seen people use spiritual energy to do everything from control minds (Something Momoyo herself can do but hasn't done, only noted as something she's learned from her father) to seeing the future to increasing one's own attributes. All ki techniques.

I dunno anon, what do you think counts as just combat techniques, given plenty of her stuff can be used for much more then just combat and she even specifies most of them aren't fit for combat anyway.

To be able to solve shortcomings within the bounds of it's own setting just eases the need to spend more cp elsewhere.

People like exalted so that's why they talk about it.

Ganguros are basically the Japanese equivalent of Jersey Shore type guidos and lady guidos. Most of the Exalted posting I see these days isn't even anything besides discussing charms and all the crazy shenanigans they get up to with just their charms, or the lore which nobody ever interacts with beyond looking at it and thinking 'isn't that neat' as if they aren't in the setting to fuck with it.

There's not even any mention of the Perks from any of the fucking jumps. If you just want to talk about Exalted and not fucking jumpchain, then go to Exalted general!

There just isn't a point to combo posting anymore. In the past combo posting came up when people needed a solution or wanted to see if their idea was good enough to be considered ingenious. Nowadays most people's problems can be solved with single perks or single jumps, so most of the time going about it with a combo is just wasting time and maybe even CP if you depend on multiple perks that have no other role except for use in the combo.

Sure you could maybe replicate Infinity with several thousand CP worth of perks from a dozen or so jumps, but then why not just use Infinity and free up that CP for something else?

I'm not entirely brushed up on it but I believe Ganguro is the term used for the more over the top stuff, when they go for the really dark skin, bright hair or white makeup. Most of the time when it's just tanned skin and bleached/dyed blonde hair it's called Gyaru.

Charms are a part of the jump, the setting has been accepted as a part of jumpchain canon. They don't need to specifically bring up perks just to make it jumpchain relevant. I disagree that Nasuverse magic would be capable of replicating a harem perk without resorting to mind control, or that it could let you talk to your own ideal self. I can't remember it having feats even vaguely related to either of those things. In fact, most magic systems implicitly have restrictions based on how the setting is, so either they're impossible or you have to fanwank that a magic system is capable of something that it has no canon feats for. But if you're doing the second, you're already capable of anything the second you become a wizard. Oh well, single player game and all, but that hardly justifies making a literal "you can do anything perk".

I do not understand how using energy is a drawback. There's already a perk right here that restores all my energy in 2 hours. How does it inconvenience me to be without ki for 2 hours, other than the opportunity cost of not being able to use it for different PPOHA powers? Maybe I get attacked by assassins during that time and am powerless? Good thing I used PPOHA to create a packet of free floating ki that shoves itself back into my body the second I enter combat.

The fact that I can't do very strong things without dying (until you use this perk to slowly increase your permanent ki pool size) is the sole limit on this power. But not being able to casually punch planets apart or create black holes is not very much of a limit.

Controlling minds, seeing the future, buffing yourself, those are all things that fit in shonen series. Those are things you could very easily imagine an anime character doing. They do not defeat my point about Momoyo having no feats about very esoteric things covered by doing anything you can picture. For example, the scenario implies Momoyo has a hard time controlling her desire for combat. Why doesn't she create a technique that lets her perfectly control it, or a technique that lets her convince people that she can?

Because the reason people post jumps is to receive criticism and make sure they're acceptable for the drive. I think he's wrong actually. Conversation sent me to the Light of Terra folder and I found this in the LoT Clarifications:
"The Deadlight is effectively enforcing the regular rules of reality to keep out The Warp. You're in your bodymod body and can remember everything you did but don't have any skills or abilities that rely on things working as they did in other dimensions. Perks are disabled but you still have all the various skills you've used and practiced, just without the guarantee of permanency you get from perks. Most people who have done Platoon and such will probably be a decent shot once they acclimate to the new weapons they're using. In the end you've got hundreds of years of accumulated skills, and while many of them might not be usable you still can draw on the ones founded in mundane abilities well enough. It might take some searching through your memories to see if you've got anything you can use but you can probably work something out."
>>
>>52848796
Yet when it's clear the author and everyone else involved doesn't agree with your criticism, you shouldn't keep repeating it and stomping your feet, insisting you are right and you get to decide what goes on the drive.
>>
>>52848712
Why wouldn't it be able to do either of those things? Is there any reason it couldn't? There are far stronger and far stranger effects seem, certainly stuff on the conceptual level is present in large amounts too. Why couldn't that system of magic achieve either of those effects?

It's not using energy. It is using lots of energy. Lots in the sense that you do not always have enough. Okay, you have a perk that lets you restore it all in 2 hours. Why does that matter if you killed yourself trying to use too much at once? Why does it matter if you made a cloud of energy if you're dead?

Perhaps I wasn't on my examples. By black hole, I mean a palm sized orb of black energy. By time stop, I mean a 20 foot wide one that Momoyo herself admitted was exhausting to maintain. Momoyo threatened to destroy the planet just by fighting another guy at her level in the outer atmosphere. You do not start at her level or anywhere close to it. And she struggled to do things on the level of those examples above and found it exhausting in energy and focus to do so.

Again, I provided answers to the examples you tried to use to show it couldn't do everything. Path to Victory? Precognition. And seriously, things you could imagine an anime character doing?

Why doesn't she? Because she doesn't want to. She doesn't see an issue with her problems and the times when she does, she has too much pride to not want to do it on her own with effort and focus. She even has a friend who's specific power is all about manipulating minds, she never asks him for help. She also has no desire to trick people wanting to help her into thinking she doesn't need help.

The problem is that most people don't make combos just for the sake of making combos. They make combos based off of neat ideas they had or problems they encountered.

99% of jumpchain problems that come up are easily solved with perks, because that's what happens eventually when new jumps are made, people look for opportunities to implement perks as solutions. So that just leaves neat ideas.

The problem there is simple. What you think is a neat idea can be fetish fuel for others. What bancho thinks is a neat idea is shitposting fuel for others. Get burned one too many times, and there's no incentive to sharing your neat ideas, especially if they only seem to be neat for you.

Because sometimes it gets results, and realistically, there are people who agree with them, just that everybody thinks the opposition has to be a single person, so apparently no one agrees with "the shitposter".

Case in point the jumpmakers that we've successfully driven away. Say what you want about it, but at the end of the day there are people who have negative motivations, and if they're persistent enough, they will get what they want. Maybe Nasuverse magic could do those things. But are you seriously trying to argue that Nasuverse magic is capable of literally anything? Because that is just the no limits fallacy. I don't specifically know that there isn't some way to use Harry Potter magic to summon a succubus, but it would be silly to say that means that you can summon a hot girl with bat wings just because Harry Potter has feats for stronger and weirder spells than that.

One of the first things you should use PPOHA for is to create a warning technique that will tell you whether any particular use of PPOHA will kill you before you attempt to use it. My problem is not with power levels, but versatility. It's not that people could use the perk to blow up the moon(which it sounds like they couldn't), it's that they can use it to re-enact the sorcerer's apprentice by animating a bunch of brooms to clean the house for them (which they shouldn't be able to do, but they can because they can picture it, even though that is absolutely nothing like anything Momoya does.)

Are you seriously trying to claim that, in canon, Momoya is literally capable of producing any effect she can imagine? Why doesn't she use her godlike wizard powers more often, instead of only for combat stuff?
>>

But why?

>>
>>52848924
Uh, just ki, though most of them are the same? Noblesse's aura is just ki/chi/chakra. Bleach...that's probably different enough in my view to be something else. Still, if you consider it otherwise, I'm not raising any fusses over it.

>>52848938
They're way above. Way way way above. So far above that they're essentially from another series. It's not a gap that's impossibly to cross but it is one that, if Momoyo/Xing/Hume decided to fight seriously against any other character in the series, they'd win. Flat out. They've only ever lost against each other or by doing stupid mistakes like not taking foes seriously, nerfing themselves, letting huge amounts of strong guys gang up on them or fighting while thinking about something else.

Tesshin's not actually on their level I don't think. Power Levels are a bit unclear in this series, since they're not that important for comedy or SoL, but while strong, I don't believe Tesshin could seriously battle Momoyo or Hume. He, Tesshin, is probably the upper limit of what you could get with both those perks together.

>>
>>52849001
If Momoya does it, then clearly it's possible. I don't see the issue with someone not wanting a perk to allow you to circumvent any limits inherent to the system as long as you have enough energy.
>>
>>52848940
No, I've never said it's capable of everything. You said that, just now. I just said it was capable of the two examples you kept saying it could not possibly do.

No, it'd be silly to say Harry Potter could do that because neither summoning magic or any presence of a hell like plane is present in Harry Potter.

Why would she have any need of it outside of combat? She's not a wizard living in a fantasy world. She's a high school student with a home and family and money spending her days relaxed with the occasional martial arts fight. What would she have need of her powers for when anytime she might need them, she can instead just beg one of her friends to do it for her instead? She's easily pleased outside of fights and can happily wile away her time flirting and eating tasty food without expending any effort.

No. I have no reason to make any concessions, nor desire if I'm honest, to a man unable to successfully argue any point and with a habit of ignoring everything that doesn't fit his view.

It wouldn't work either, since there's so little detail on what cannot be done with this system that it ultimately ends in the same place but less clear. Let's say I do that. What happens when someone asks what cannot be done in Majikoi's system? There's certainly never anything that is said on what cannot be done. Am I meant to make up limitations and then deal with the flack that will cause for me?

I'm not making a change for the worse that has no reason to be there other than to satisfy a noisy man who picks this perk, of all the many that exist like it, to have issue with.

Are there any decent perks that would help me let my hair function as a magic wand/staff/all-purpose magical foci?

My jumper's recent fashion trends has been characterized by a single, absurdly long braid. Usually, style alone would be enough to justify that kind of shit, but I need to add some gimmick to justify all the moving cars it's been caught under. So, I've decided to let my braid function as a foci for my magic, or at least to start launching my spells from that specific point.

I figured that I would check if their were any specific perks that would help with that, before I just go "It's magic, I do what I want".

It'd be reasonable to assume it could also manipulate space, electromagnetism, etc. We've seen it used to see forwards into time. There's apt reason to assume it could replicate clairvoyance. Like, there's no reason to assume this system can crank out Exalted-style Perfect Defenses and such because it's not demonstrated in the setting.

What do you do now, when someone asks whether Wish Granting can allow you do to something with the Nasuverse magic system? It's not like there are hard and fast rules for it either. That should be left to fanwank or to asking the jump maker, not shoving in a line allowing you to do anything.

It isn't going to stop him from arguing, because that's what he's here for. I mean let's be completely honest here, there's no reason that he needs to take the jump. It's not mandatory, but he feels like arguing over it anyways.

If something changes in the end, then he gets to feel happy that he won at an online imagination game argument. If nothing changes, he gets to feel happy that he participated in an online imaginary discussion. Both of those cases are equally pitiful and equally realistic.

We've seen this happen countless times now, we've even had this exact conversation about his motivations countless times now. Just two days ago this conversation was had by others. This is just the cycle looping with an opening that uses different words.

>So what's the difference between someone fanwanking it and me saying it?
The difference is that, if left up to fanwank, then it's up to the player to decide whether or not something is reasonable. If you make a perk that literally says you can do anything, and I buy that perk, I can now do anything, rather it is reasonable or not.

>Smite- Arcane. Does exactly the same as this with other stuff on top. A perk raised to you by another anon already.
Smite's example feats place very constraining limits that there are no way to get around. If I send a penny back two seconds in time with Arcane, I die. PPOHA's example feat that might kill me is creating a black hole, which leaves me much much more wiggle room to produce any effect I want. Arcane lets you do anything, just exceptionally weak things, while PPOHA lets you do anything, just not exceptionally strong things.

One is a neat parlor trick, one turns you into a high level DnD wizard who can create new spells on the fly.

Both are exponentially scaling costs, Arcane is just infinitely better because it uses magic, and thus can actually be scaled into the absurd high end of doing literally anything, where the chi based perk can't because you don't have that much chi, on top of having the stipulation of being less draining to preform magic that is already technically possible within a magic system.

You are ignoring the limitations of one while claiming the other makes it useless, when the only drawback is the same, and technically the one you're shitting on has even less limitations than the one you're wanking to bitch about.
>>
>>52849347
nigga, not him, but you completely misread arcane. Like, rolled a nat 1.
Heres the relevant passage: things which go against the natural order of whatever form of magic you are using get exponentially harder, in a magic system without time manipulation you might be able to send a penny back one second in time but sending it two seconds back in time could kill you for example.
> in a magic system without time manipulation
So it would only drain you that much if the system you're using to manipulate time isn't even capable of manipulating time, but you manage it anyways because you're just that fucking awesome. And in a system that is already capable of temporal manipulation wont cost you anywhere near as much.
So, no, arcane is nowhere near as useless as you seem to think it is.
>>
Is there any guess about when the new WoW jump is coming out?
>>
>>52849347
OF COURSE IT ISN'T MORE POWERFUL YOU STUPID IDIOT!
>>
>>52849365
Because Arcane does not kill you from draining too much energy, arcane just kills you.

Yes, you could create a spell with Arcane that prevented other spells from Arcane from killing you, but who's to say if THAT spell wouldn't also kill you? Me, the jumper, that's who. That's why vague abilities should be left up to jumper discretion rather than getting a ruling saying they are literally limitless.

>>52849383
Arcane's emphasizes how stretching the system beyond what it is capable of, even a little, may have disastrous consequences. Val has ruled that using ki to become a better economist, something completely unlike any canon feat, is valid, emphasizing the opposite.

>>52849395
Arcane says absolutely nothing about scaling cost. It says things get exponentially "harder". The example feat involves you dying from doing something too difficult, with no implication that shoving more energy into the spell will solve the problem.

I have no idea what you're talking about.

Arcane allows you to "technically do anything... technically." followed by examples of how moving slightly beyond a system's limits is nearly impossible.

Pulling Powers Out Her Ass says "as long as you can picture it, you can make it happen" and has examples of things far, far beyond what canon is capable of.

I want stipulations put on PPOHA, or at least vastly strengthened, not removed.
>>
>>52849566
>far far beyond
Maybe you might get somewhere if you didn't constantly lie and twist things to support your argument.
>>
>>52849448
Um, no. Just, no. Arcane not only gives you a ridiculous amount of knowledge (with a focus on dirty secrets apparently), and what could be interpreted as a learning boost if you stretch the meaning of the last sentence enough, but it also only carries the exponential cost and danger when trying to do things that the system you are using explicitly is unable to do. Unlike the other one that explicitly always carries the exponential cost increase that is so large that the FUCKING PLANET BUSTING LEVEL CHARACTER who the perk is modeled after decided that those abilities weren't combat viable because of the cost.
>>
>>52849564
We have to stop The Hulk!
>>
>>52849566
You are lying though. Both are exponential costs based on how exotic the effect being achieved is or how large the scale is. All the examples for the perk you are wanking were literally in canon, stuff that's already possible in that system, albeit extremely costly. Arcane lets you literally do shit that is impossible normally. It isn't a perk that lets you make magic do whatever, it's a perk that say 'you see those limits? You can ignore those now.'
>>
>>52849582
More over, it's a perk that applies to all magic systems. So I can literally use it for any magic system to do whatever the hell I want.

The fuck do you want? Omnipotence for every mage? What can't it do? Just take HSDW and you lose all the drawbacks and limits of magecraft with all the varied conceptual bullshit. At that point the only thing it doesn't have is raw power, which is just the user's magic. No, tell us, what can't that system of magic do?
>>
>>52849576

>>52849582
Yes, they aren't combat viable because of the cost. The Arcane feat is also not combat viable because of the cost (the cost is that you die.)

The Arcane feat is also not viable for out of combat use (because it kills you). Are the PPOHA powers also so expensive they aren't viable for out of combat use?

>>52849616
>Both are exponential costs based on how exotic the effect being achieved is or how large the scale is.
No it doesn't. It gets "harder" not "more expensive."

> All the examples for the perk you are wanking were literally in canon, stuff that's already possible in that system, albeit extremely costly.
Please point me to the canon evidence that the following are valid ki techniques in Majikoi: becoming a supernaturally good economist, turning a prince into a frog, creating a new color that turns everyone who sees it gay, and making Santa Claus real.

Absolutely, it's actually one of my specialities. Plasmids, Eradia, quantum stasis, causality distortion, Medi-Guns of varying calibre, biotic transmission vector, directed Light channel, healing potion spring, hyperdimensional soul-to-doll extraction surgery followed by wave form collapse therapy, molecular reassembly, radiant pillar of divine intervention-when it comes to putting the body, mind and soul back together, I'm your man. At any given moment, the light I radiate can heal things.

Heck, the major gimmick of my Overlord build is a custom racial skill called The Goal of All Death is Life-which lets me heal and restore the normally unhealable. After catching Loptr's soul, I even recreated the Remembrances of Time for when I need to pull out ALL the stops to heal something.

It's not all sparkly lights and comfort, though. Long before FF1 I had pioneered the art of battle healing. As a Kemmlerian necromancer, my speciality was in necrobotany-so I used dead plants as numerous, often VERY powerful pseudo-wands to manipulate ambient life energy. Coupled with the Double Deity from FF13-3 and Life for Life from FF13-3, and I can heal very well indeed by making someone else suffer.

Coupled WITH the FF1 capstone and, well-I've basically turned white magic into a more cunning form of black magic.

Um-off the top of my head true ressurection, for one. Also the True Magics vaguely define things that are supposed to be absolutely un-fully-replicable by HSDW, with a simple teleport as an example of trying to approach it. Finally with the ease Gilgamesh shreds Medea in any route they meet it's implied the effects of NPs trump those of HSDW in a direct contest; the magic is too "fluid" to withstand something "solid" like an NP. Or probably, the more powerful Phantasmal Species.

Canon Companion option added.
The Real Fake has what you get/don't get made clearer (Give me a shout if it's still not working and I'll do a more extensive redo)
Formatting shit like bolding unbolded stuff.
Anyway, while I'm here, might as well do a tiny update on other stuff. K-On! will probably be done in a week. Maybe two, do need to actually start doing work on some assignments but it's no issue to do such a small jump. Sadly, Dies Irae was pushed to the end of next month for the translated release (I know, I'm sad too. Also, still time to preorder for anyone interested). Nier A is still on track for next month though I'm considering trying to do GO instead since I wanna get that out finally. Who knows eh?

>>
>>52849538
My jumper developed a fighting style wherein he'll basically align chakras, stretch opponents muscles, conduct chiropracty, and use pressure points or other esoteric techniques mid-combat to heal his opponent. Most foes pass out from relaxation rather than injury, though it's fairly time consuming. Throw on Ki techniques or combining bloodbending and waterbender chi healing for additional fun times.

He has about four different glowing auras. One heals the body, another heals the mind.

Healing/Fatigue restoring songs are pretty fun, so I picked those up from Macross and the Fire Emblems respectively. Now he can just sit on the battlefield and sing Queen and still contribute.

Healing magic is about the only kind I actually bother to pick up. I Cheat has kind of combined them all into one amazing hodgepodge of no one dieing if my jumper doesn't feel like letting it happen.

Then there's all the mundane and super-science healing techniques. Healing nanite swarms are something my jumper has on hand, but eh. I went full doctor in Franken Fran too, but he also has the advantage of caring about quality of life.

Just use a clone with the same perks as you. There should be one or two options out there that let you do that.
>>
>>52849715
1. The True Magics aren't older, they're more recent

2. The True Magics are kibbles of eldritch lore ripped from Akasha. In canon there are literally only 3 or 4 living characters that know how and are able to to use them, and 1 or 2 of them die in the route their magic (the 3rd) is used.

3. Even with the ressurection thing-the other known Magics capable of it cheat around with causality/soul loopholes. Legit ressurection so far has only been performed by a Phantasmal Beast destined to grow up to become one of the Beast-class entities which in adulthood would've been more powerful than the ones seen during Goetia's arc.

Create a single empty microverse battery, fill it with ex-nihilo energy producers (like an Orgel of Origins or an Aeon Paragon), set your energy-to-matter convertors to create ne microverse batteries (which, as we know from canon, can be nested, then set up protals everywhere linking these universes together and let it stew from a while.

Personally I think the gauntlet format suits them better than the standard jump format.

You at least have to succeed at the gauntlet to obtain any powers therein.
No guaranteed 1000cp, so options that are worth more power can be priced cheaper.
As you have to take drawbacks for cp, going for higher power perks commesurately lowers the jumper's own chance of success.
Suits the media as they're competitions - the win/lose condition suits it more than normal jump format.

>>52850136
Acquisition of witch magic is something that Pieces can aspire to, and in the setting merely having witch-level magic isn't any guarantee of success - it merely puts you on an even(-ish) footing with your main opponents, especially since it's something the MC acquires. I think it should be kept.
>>
>>52850102
my opinion is pretty much unchanged. I think that if offered, they should be limited to within this jump and then locked till post chain like voyager. There's just no way to offer them without them outshining everything else, even if you're needing to grow into it. Voyagers are bullshit but witches have hax almost as bullshit and I don't think the hax should be offered without limits.
>>
>>52850136
I'm not sure why everything has to be perfectly balanced against everything else. This hasn't been the case for a very long time, and you're just pointing out this one example because presumably you know Umineko more than other people.
>>
>>52850150
And it trivialises the rest of the chain, especially once you get past the basic uses. And so what if it puts you on even footing? There's no risk as dying just means you continue on your chain. You either come out with some of the best powers in the entire chain or you continue on as normal.

>>52850136
Yes? Reading through it, everything seems to be fairly balanced. You might think the witch stuff is way to strong, but it looks pretty straightforward, and it's not overpowered compared to what it's priced against.
>>
>>52850150
So what are your thoughts on it being only kept within the gauntlet and otherwise restricted to post chain? It lets you do the equal footing without putting endless magic and the similarly powerful magics into your hand during the chain.
>>
>>52850165
>it trivialises the rest of the chain
Two times in the same thread. How many times do you need to use this argument before you realize it doesn't work? Trivializing the chain is not grounds for removal.
>>
>>52849936
I like how it is. First fits powerless and the rest with the Voyagers is risky for everyone.

And endless magic is not that great if you aren't a Voyager. A few showy tricks.
>>
>>52850186
It's infintie anything. how is it not great
>>
>>52850150
I'd have to agree with that line of thought. It's not like magic is something you can only learn if your purchase that perk. Put your mind to it with a few training boosters and be nice to some witches, and I'm sure you can learn it in-jump just as easily.

>>52850165
Inter-jump balance. Also, there are SO many perks and poweres that "trivialise" the chain I don't even know where to start. Besides, what's the problem if it's trivialised? No, seriously. Jumpchain is a writing prompt in the end, and if some anon wants to write a One-Punch like jumper beating everyone with ease, what's the problem with that?
>>
>>52850178
What reason is there to take the jump if it's nor for what you fought to get within it?
>>
>>52850165
Yep, I knew it; he's the anti-gauntlet fag. It doesn't matter what you say at this point, because you showed your hand early.
>>
Okay. Can we clear this shit up for people who aren't familiar with Umineko?

What exactly do these magics, like this endless magic, do? Why are they so supposedly good? redpill me?
>>
I'm looking at the infernals jump atm, and I don't understand what the redhead option for familiars is. I found a description of what the Splintered Gale charm is, I think, but I'm still not getting it. Can anyone explain what exactly I would be getting if I chose that option for Familiar and chose her?
>>
>>52850193
If you watched the series, you would realize how many limits the magic has.

High-level demons can be killed with guns.
>>
>>52850201
They're no different from Fate/Exalted magic.Lots of conceptual stuff. Realistically it's nothing that you can't emulate elsewhere with the right perks and magic base, but since it's from an anime that sparked a bunch of memes and people became avid fanboys, it gets wanked up pretty hard. Lots of hype, not actually that much delivery. It's something that generally you should watch yourself and develop an opinion, because some people absolutely hate it after getting hyped up on it.
>>
>>52850201
They do what they say they do in the Gauntlet, and they aren't that good in the form they're offered in, not to the extent that they're being exaggerated. They're certainly well balanced against the stuff on offer else wise.

It's just one guy freaking the fuck out because he hates Gauntlets.
>>
>>52850216
Tell me what it does. You've told me nothing here. What can it do?
>>
>>52850212
Shut up about Exalted.
>>
>>52850136
I suppose so. Again, the main reason I wasn't worried about it is because it's something you can achieve otherwise anyway.

I don't really think it's that skewed, but at least one other person agrees with you and you're making an actual argument so I'm not opposed to listening to-

>>52850155
-and limiting it until the Chain's over.

...And people are arguing otherwise now. Nevermind on that? Just know I'm reading your posts and not solely the two up top.

Also, probably gonna drop in a few minutes. I'll reply next one or something.
>>
>>52850201
Going by what the gauntlet is saying, since I dunno the series- endless magic is like Infinity but for anything physical. Origin magic is the First Magic except you don't need to spend any time to make stuff, Miracles...seems to do the same thing sa certainty in that they both make anything that's slightly possible into 100% certainty?

Maybe someone can explain that knows the series because my impression is holy fucking zombie jesus are they good
>>
>>52850226
Endless magic sums up as illusions and toying around with concepts, eventually destroying some. Another witch can revive people. Another witch can grant wishes.
>>
>>52850260
So what limits do those have? Because the first and last seem like they need some sort of limit.

All I've got to go on are what the guy above you just said since I don't know the setting either.
>>
>>52850240
Because he's fluffing it up real hard, but in reality, it doesn't do all that much other than create messes and cause problems to appear where they shouldn't have. Umineko is one big case of if people didn't have magic they'd be perfectly fine, but since they do have magic everybody is going to get fucked, partly because the impression is that humans are inherently fucked up and ruin everything they touch.
>>
>>52850283
For fucking hell's sake why can't you just tell me what it actually does? I don't care about the in setting stuff. It's not going to be in setting for most people. Tell me what it does so I can have a say in this whole debate.

If you guys know so much about it, fucking tell me already. Why is this so hard?
>>
>>52850264
Reading through the wiki, the limits each witch has seem to be based on their emotion and personality, and some other psychological stuff. Like look at the description of Bernkastel's magic:

"She can use "magic of miracles" to reset a bad situation, as long as the chance of it becoming favourable is not zero. She has experienced having been played with and imprisoned in a cruel fate in the past by Lambdadelta when she was a human being. Hence, it seems she can't ignore the fate of those in same circumstances. In theory, she is the witch with the strongest power, but that is actually not realistic, like folding a piece of paper a hundred times so that it'll reach the moon. And she folded it a hundred times."

I'm not smart enough to understand that paper metaphor desu.
>>
>>52850264
*shrug* It can do what it says it does, it just can't do literally anything.
>>
>>52850212
A heroic mortal with all peak human stats and Adorjan's personality, I think.
>>
>>52850264
What limits does D&D magic have?

The answer depends on talent and how much time you're willing to dedicate to it.

Endless Magic in the tabletop (AKA, the real world) has never done anything above building level of destruction and creating a hundred peak-human minions or so.
>>
Okay so, from what I understand, all the people arguing for the option to be kept in can't actually say what it does or they excuse it with 'but it fits the setting'.

So given no one can explain it, why is it being offered? If it's either too good or no one knows what it does, why is it an option?
>>
>>52850292
As someone equally confused, it sounds like you take a concept, and your magic is based on wielding that concept, but then you make it infinite. So, like, "my ball magic allows me to bounce through space and time" or "my banana magic allows me to peel reality itself apart" or something. That just sounds dumb though, so I have no idea what it's actually supposed to be.
>>
>>52850264
It's not supposed to have a limit because the multiverse in Umineko isn't well explained. Umineko is one of those settings that works fine standalone but sucks as a jump because all of the extra information like higher dimensional entities just isn't there. Go wiki Bernkastel and Lambdadelta's history if you're curious, that's just one part of it.

The story doesn't focus on a lot of these things which is fine because the plot is narrowly focused, but all the abilities that do get used are almost always used circumstantially, like the idiot who wishes to become God and doesn't realize that God doesn't necessarily mean YHVH of all multiverses. Thing is jumpchain always looks to the widest application of all abilities, hence why suddenly Witch Magic must be omnipotent. Technically it's implied that the Witches would get fucked by the Higher Order Beings.
>>
>>52850322
You are the only one that can't accept the explanations fucking given to you, you fucking shitposter.

The highest showings inside the tabletop (which is what you're going to get) is the battle between Virgilia and Beatrice. It's a flashy battle but nothing that you wouldn't see in Fate or Exalted. They don't even destroy the garden they're fighting in.

>>52850329
Beatrice is implied to be a pretty weak witch. After all, her domain is just an island. There are witches/wizards/demons with domains larger than universes (for each single instance of their own particular multiverse) and then there are things like Voyagers who can traverse those and fuck shit up with everyone.
>>
Do you get to keep your Servant from the (generic) Fate jump as a companion if you're not importing?
>>
>>52850347
Worse then usual. Everyones arguing over something no one actually understands.
>>
>>52850308
Bernkastel is implied to be from a different reality, which is a thing in Umineko. And because Witches can come from entirely different dimensions each with its own laws and phenomena, the magic that they have are basically mini Stands that can act like anything from level 1 D&D spells to King Crimson. You pick a different Witch, you get a different power. You ask the Witch that can make other Witches to turn you into a Witch? You get another power.
>>
>>52850357
THAT STILL DOESNT TELL ME WHAT IT FUCKING DOES. HOLY SHIT PEOPLE.

This is basic fucking shit. What does Endless Magic do? Not what power level is it at in vague terms. What can it be used to do. That is it. Nothing else. No bullshit about themes or vague feats. just say what it can do. THAT'S IT.

AND WE CAN ALL GO HOME ONCE WE FUCKING ALL UNDERSTAND THIS SHIT.
>>
>>52850322
Magic can be learned by everyone in the setting. Just travelling there will let you become a magician.

The only requisite to do so in believing in magic. And even if you 'don't believe', you can still become a magician as long as you accept other people believing or something like that. how to get magic is not really explained aside that everyone gets it in the end.
>>
>>52850357
Beatrice is only iconic because of how memetic her part of the story became. And to be fair her part of the story is probably the most solid, but there's really nothing else about her that's really amazing, and to begin with, Umineko isn't good with character development or character writing, so there isn't much to expect on that regard.

Power wise I'm pretty certain even an incomplete Bernkastel could stomp Beatrice into the ground. It's practically a Goetia vs Gilgamesh comparison.
>>
I mean, you might as well use this argument to say that Stands like Heaven's Door can be used to make anything happen. It has no canon limitations, so it can do anything, right?
>>
>>52850371
>Endless Magic in the tabletop (AKA, the real world) has never done anything above building level of destruction and creating a hundred peak-human minions or so.
Are you just cherry picking responses trying to get people to believe that the power is too vague for you or something?
>>
>>52850371
They use spells and do things.Just. Like. Any. Other. Magic. System. You can create portals, teleport, create minions, destroy things and bring them back (bringing them back is what Endless Magic is, because if you don't have Endless Magic, what you bring back is just temporary because destroying is easier than creating).

We don't know the limits of what can be accomplished, but the strongest users in the tabletop (what you are going to get until your chain ends) never are shown to be capable of effecting really large areas with their magic.

Assume that you can do anything with sufficient knowledge and preparation time in a small area.

Geez, you are really dense.
>>
>>52850371
The Endless? It can take a thing a make it infinite. Can't create, though.

There you go. Shut up.
>>
>>52850392
If that's what you want to use Heaven's Door for you can go right ahead and no one will stop you.
>>
Besides Majikoi's Hyperarmor perk, wasn't there another perk that made it so you take less damage the stronger you are in comparison?

I ask, because I think I took it... but I can't remember and it would take a long while to go through all 700 of my builds to see which one it was from to verify I do have it.
>>

>>
>>52850415
Okay. So we finally know. Now we can say.

That's fucking broken beyond all belief. Are there any limits? Because if not, you're fucking insane for offering that outside of an endjump. If yes, tell me what they are.

>>52850406
What does that say about what it can do? It says some vague thing about it's best destructive ability and that's it.
>>
>>52850437
Holy fuck, this level of shitposting has to be seen to be believed.
>>
>>52850437
Okay, so you're definitely ignoring things now, considering you completely skipped this >>52850413.
>>
>>52850381
If some of the other novelizations are to be believed, magic is just part of the entire multiverse, and witches are just a part of the system that allows it to be manipulated. It's basically an intrinsic property that exists but needs to be awakened.
>>
>>52850437
>Because if not, you're fucking insane for offering that outside of an endjump. If yes, tell me what they are.

Making it infinite it means that it won't disappear. Because Finite magic is more of an illusion than actual magic.

It means that their spells last until they want to.

But that's basically what Infinity (SDS) can do.
>>
Okay so, after pulling peoples fucking teeth out, I've finally discovered they are all basic magic systems and that they each have a special thing about them. Finding that out should not have taken so long and so many people not giving a basic answer.

Now what is this shit about Endless Magic being able to make anything infinite? Can we get an answer without all that rigmarole again?
>>
Oh, yeah. You guys are all forgetting something.

All magic in this setting gets fucked up by the toxin. All of it, regardless of power.

If people don't believe in magic, magic gets cucked out of reality by disbelief in the supernatural. So you need to start subtle until people believes. Think of the collective reality in Mage: The Awakening working against you but without paradox coming to kick you in the ass and magic simply not working.

Despite everything, she almost giggles as she pulls me into a headlock. 30% Barbadium alloy groans alarmingly under arms way stronger than they've any right to be as we tumble at the speed of sound.

But this isn't the first time I've fought to reverse my fortunes. I go for a leg takedown, and grapple her from behind. Pain erupts as she elbows my ribs, and then kicks off hard enough to launch us into the stratosphere.

The kickoff repels us by-a mile? Damn this slow brain. We close in again-knifehand punches at the head, solar plexus and neck while blending spinning back kicks with push kicks. She senses victory, throws a roundhouse. Without my full agility, catching the blow knocks the wind out of me.

But I remember the basics of CQC. Turning her own momentum against her, I fling her at the moon.

She launched herself back before I was done falling. Our horizontal fall changes local weather, and US commercial interests stole our accomplishment to claim global warming is a hoax. I snag a hip throw, and we plunged into the Pacific.

The bottom of the ocean barely slows our fight, but even that is enough for us both to sense victory. Elbows to the throat and head blows to exploit the lowered gravity; grapples are futile now we can both float. I fight defensively this phase, redirecting and circling around a smokestack until an axe kick shaves my chin. Turning, I punt my dearest rival upwards and use Toad Style to catch up with her.

The sun blinds me briefly-and she's already recovered, catching me with a SAVAGE knee to the nose before punting me another few miles back towards Japan. As she catches up I cancel inertia, and redirect a third of it to hobble her-catching Momoyo in the temple with a vicious elbow. Even as she staggers she recovers again, and as we finally devolve into punching each other in the face over and over it soon becomes clear: This cannot continue.

I back off. We've known each other-I parry an uppercut-for so long. Your heart's been aching, I want to tell her even as I finally secure a wristlock, but you're too shy to say it.

Inside, we both know what's going on. She's seen me do this technique a thousand times after all; I seamlessly throw her into the air, hook my legs around hers and secure a rear naked chokehold. Shh, no energy attacks now. Only grappling.

And she rams her elbow in me hard enough I feel something burst. After all, we know the game and we're gonna play it.

She breaks free, lands a dozen blows on my face. Never gonna give you up.

I transition seamlessly from missionary to a triangle choke. Never gonna let you down.

Gasping, she attempts to break the whole by leaping again-but I turn my own hips, her face planting from her own momentum. Never gonne run around and desert you.

A kick goes awry; I go for a leglock to avoid snarling her hair. Never gonna make you cry.

The gratitude is fleeting, but unmistakeable. The kick to the face is dodged by barely a centimeter-but her eyes widen as I finally slide away far enough to retake the chokehold. Never gonna say goodbye.

This time, the technique is executed perfectly. There is no escape, only leverage trumping strength. She regenerates once from the strain, regenerates twice-as we hold each other tight, it takes a dozen regenerations to realise she is bested. A final wink, as she taps out. I flop down next to her, almost as exhausted and probably with most important things broken. Somehow, we stagger to our feet, giving each other a hand up-and share a breathless laugh.

Never gonna tell a lie, and hurt you.

So, just trying to get a handle on the subject matter here without looking at the spoilers or wiki by watching what I can find of the anime but-

>GOLDEN DREAMS/FANTASIA TARNISHED BLACK

Holy shit.

Um.

Spoilers please but-this story doesn't have a happy ending in canon does it...?

Also I think I've figured out part of the golden witch riddle, too. Rather stop myself here because if I'm wrong I'm going to feel very stupid about confusing it with a one-horse town a few miles outside my old neighbourhood

I vaguely remember someone getting raped by a trout in this.

Can "When The Seagulls Cried…" and "…None Were Left Alive" be taken together without having to forfeit the previous Gauntlet's CP?

Or you can keep the extra CP gained if you took the same +100 drawbacks in both jumps?

Trust between Reader and Writer in "The Rokkenjima Catbox" says it removes our memories of the Umineko series - I'm assuming it doesn't apply to knowledge we acquired in "The Rokkenjima Murders"? As in, we'd remember what we did and saw there, right?

>this story doesn't have a happy ending in canon does it...?
As far as I can see, both drawbacks concern events that are mildly unrelated to the Truth, if that's what you are asking.

Dreams seems to be one of the versions presented over the course of the plot. Act 7, I think.

Fantasia is basically the events of the Umineko fighting game.

Ah. Was it the sweetfish that clued you in?~

So why didn't you explain what any of the magic did earlier? You argued for it being an important part of the games.
