I've just finished my 3rd jump and now looking for new ones. What jump do you recommend and is it better to do a jump that you're familiar with or is it the same either way?

Stop right there, Jumper! This gentleman has contacted your benefactor, complaining about why someone like you should be handled an Oldwalker spark while he lost his. It seems like this oversized lizard is quite a good talker, because he has managed to convince your benefactor that if he can defeat at the end of your current jump, he will take your place as a Jumper. Can you defeat him?

If you consider that you have no chance of taking him on, you have five extra jumps to prepare, but he will also be upgraded to his Oldwalker status. What jumps would you choose?

>>
>>52834652
Not possible 683 is Omnicidal. He'll try to kill them, and they can't kill him.
>>
>>52834713
Not omnicidal, he just hates any form of organic life. He seems to be at the very least neutral to artificial/inorganic life.
>>
>>52834713
Not true, he didn't kill or want to kill the sentient calculator thing that can only hold 72 hours of memories. He actually enjoyed talking to it.
>>
>>52834581
Well, he's organic, so eventually the Johj probably end up cribbing off his DNA and become unstoppable killing machines.
>>
So Post-MMBN can I still use battlechips?
Do they have to be uploaded via the PET?
How does this work?
>>
>>52834713
Technically he will only attack organic beings, but yes he would still try to kill the Johj unless they somehow aren't organic. But who knows, he hates humans more than anything and might prioritize them even with the Johj around. Or the Johj would outsmart him or something, who knows, they're bullshit
>>
>>52834770
There weren't any humans in the hypothetical though, it's literally 682 dropped on Johj Mars. He wouldn't just leave the planet to get at the humans first.
>>
>>52834800
The Johj would move him to earth. They aren't stupid enough to keep fighting a literally unkillable being. If you restrict that and force them to fight, then either the Johj eventually die or they contain him like the Foundation does.
>>
>>52834856
Johj don't have any resources besides what was shipped to them from Earth. They have no way to imprison him or send him to Earth. Intelligence doesn't really factor in when they're almost devoid of resources.

Dude SCP-682's DNA is weird as hell. http://www.scp-wiki.net/experiment-log-t-98816-oc108-682

>>52834770
I dunno why outsmarting him would do anything. He just can't be killed. That's his thing. As >>52834899 says it doesn't really matter how smart they are at that point.
>>
>>52834141
I eat his soul and go on my way.
>>
>>52835021
>>52834899
Outsmarting him means not letting him get close enough to kill them, while they spend the time to dig a giant fucking hole to bury him in. That would hold him for quite a while as he tries to dig himself out. They can't kill him, they can't steal his biology because he's only sometimes maybe biological, and they can't contain him permanently. In the end they'd either die off or become nomads that avoid 682 at all costs

>>
>>52835098
>That would hold him for quite a while as he tries to dig himself out.
1. Eat his way out.
2. There's a reason why his SCP is to keep him in a massive acid resistant box filled with hydrochloric acid.

>>52835179
Where's that? Snapping his neck isn't enough what did they do?
>>
>>52835193
Mega Man Jumps can be used for this.
Along with the Kirby Jump.
>>
>>52835192
>Overlord has draganoid although I don't remember if it's full dragon or not
It can turn into a small dragon.

But if you're a Divine Caster you can turn into a full dragon at will.

Maybe combine the two of them for better dragonism?

How to Train Your Dragon.
>>
>>52835129
That's not surprising at all. Dragons are as integral a part of the premise as an obsession with breasts is.
>>
>>52835205
>Where's that? Snapping his neck isn't enough what did they do?
They snapped his conceptual neck.

I wouldn't be surprised if that's what they do, given the nature of some SCPs.

>>
>>52835205
That's why I said he'd get out eventually. As to the 173 killing him, I think he's talking about this:
http://www.scp-wiki.net/revised-entry
>>
>>52835234
Item: SCP-173

Tissue Test Record:
N/A, overridden by O5-Command

Termination Test Record:
SCP-682 introduced into the containment area of SCP-173. SCP-682 makes several screeching noises, and quickly presses against the wall farthest from SCP-173, staring at it the entire time. SCP-682 continues to stare at SCP-173 without pause for six hours. Agents equipped with large-caliber sniper rifles dispatched, and shoot out the eyes of SCP-682, at the same time stopping all observation of SCP-173 and SCP-682.

After resuming observation, SCP-682 is shown to be on the floor, with several injuries around its head, neck and legs. SCP-173 is seen to have tissue from SCP-682 on its “hands”. SCP-682 rapidly regenerates damage, and moves to a different wall, developing several sets of eyes on various parts of its body, many covered by thick, clear “caps” of armored carapace. SCP-682 maintains observation of SCP-173 for an additional twelve hours, despite additional efforts of Agents and Foundation staff. SCP-682 allowed to exit containment area, and recaptured in temporary containment.

Notes: After review, it appears SCP-173 was unable to do lethal damage to SCP-682 due to a major difference in physical size. A possible repeat of this test may be made if SCP-682 is damaged enough to reduce its physical mass to a level equal with SCP-173.

You what mate?
>>
>>52835265
>>52835234
Oh they just ripped him apart. He's proven to be tougher than that.
>>
>>52835271
It's SCP. You think they'll let something actually work against their baby?
>>
>>52835271
Shooting out his eyes seems unnecessary. Just turn off the lights. You need to use vision to sense 173, so even if 682 develops some sort of radar triangulation based on ambient radio sources, that still wouldn't cause 173 to freeze.
>>
>>52835292
As far as I'm aware, 682 has only died once as a part of 2935, and even then its dubious considering it was an alternate 682 that was dead before they found it and it might never have been alive to begin with

...I'm going to level with you here: I have no idea what's going on in either of these. One has space monkeys, the other has elemental powers powered by what I understand is basically meme magic, and that's about it.

I'll probably just kick back and relax somewhere. Well, more wander off to Neverland/Wonderland/the Netherworld/the Beyond where I can relax in my full majesty, while leaving a tiny avatar around to do tiny avatar things.

>>52833965
Failure, any personal failure at all is a great fear of mine. I designed my mind to be repulsed by it in order to avoid falling into complacency or solipsistic hyperfocus.

As for more specific failures-I'm still pissed the Imperium isn't developing into an era of enlightened, prosperous expansion UNDER MY COVERT DIRECTION all because the Emperor rejected Instrumentality.

>>52834141
>at the end of your current jump
>end

I politely request he take a number and get in line with the rest of my adversaries.

I then stroll back into the Beyond waiting for the jump to end, ponder the usefulness of Exploiting The System and proceed on my merrry way at the end of the decade.

The Chinese. Wouldn't be surprised if the yellow menace is worse than the Johj by now.
>>
>>52835303
Dude the other >>52835265 entry was just a Dr. noting how good it feels to see him get torn limb from limb, no death there. It never takes with 682.

>>52835335
He has lizard eyes, I think thermal or something, so turning off the lights really doesn't matter that much in his case.

>>52835345
That's true.
>>
>>52834141
Probably, since I absorb magic and reflect instadeath, and as far as I know he tends to be pretty reliant on both.
>>
>>52835381
>He has lizard eyes, I think thermal or something, so turning off the lights really doesn't matter that much in his case.
Well, first of all, lizards don't see in the infrared. They don't use their eyes, they have an entirely different set of sense organs for heat. So it shouldn't count as seeing 173. Secondly, 173 is made of concrete. It doesn't have body heat.
>>
>>52835415
He'd just evolve bio-luminescence.
>>
>>52835415
Didn't know that. He'd probably evolve >>52835432 or night vision.
>>
>>52835432
>>52835449
True, but it's a simpler solution than shooting out his eyes. They know he can regenerate, so destroying his eyes is just as short-term a solution. And this way the snipers don't need to be exposed to a room containing both 173 and 682, even if they're doing it from murderholes that's still not something I'd want to risk.
>>
>>52835474
Personally I'd do it with drones. After 682 evolved night vision.
>>
>>52835474
The foundation isn't the smartest organization and doesn't always have the smartest people in charge. They had a guy who kept throwing children in with 682, for christs sake
>>
>>52835356
>Meme magic
The worst description, made all the worse by the fact that I can't actually disagree with it. Efficient propagation of memes about you (in the classical sense of the word meme) is the best way to gain power there.

Completely out of the blue question, but, what would be a reasonable level to come out of Hero BBS with, assuming you didn't work particularly hard to train or anything but took The Ride Never Ends?
I'm trying to figure out how far into the Warrior's progression I got since I'm going into the Disgaea Overlord DLC. I'm going to need basically everything I can get for Priere, and I'm taking a serious look at what's available to me at this point in the chain. I'm already realizing Capstone Boosted Fastest Thing Alive from Classic Sonic and Unique Architecture from Mega Man is gonna put in some work, but...lil lady's a pretty scary proposition this early on

>>
>>52835598
Level 5 is the usually level in which Heroes end their quests and if you don really try that hard in training then your probably going to be something like a Level 6 pushing a Level 7.

Moving up in the Hero BBS level system requires a LOT of training, either for Warriors and Rouges constantly finding new powerful enemies to defeat or the Mages studying the magic systems of other worlds.
>>
>>52835665

Fair enough. I'm assuming the worst since I'm aware that my SI would be somewhat lazy unless it involves putting his life at risk/danger in which case he's all in for the rush
Could see him getting bored easily and going for the biggest threats but definitely think that 7 is the most that'd be reached

Still, might actually help.

Upon thinking about it, too, I realize I may have been underplaying the capabilities my Dachis a bit too up till this point. I imagine Hime and Kuu in particular will be massive helps since Kuu's shadows can let me control the battlefield while Hime's toxin will let me at least do some Damage over Time

So. Way back in the day, someone told me the horrible plague of sun-eating eldritch entities was apparently necessary according to early in-game files? But as far as I can tell, in the canon lore there does NOT appear to be anything supporting this. On the other hand, I also have options that aren't "smite the bastards until they explode" so I'd much rather defeat the horde by hijacking most of it since I've got a chaos emerald manseverse just for the job. There will be some fighting, of course. There's always disenters.

The Jennerit truly are, dare I say, /myguys/. Physical laws getting in the way of achieving objective perfection through efficiency? Manipulate them. Quite a few of my companions agree, they're so-direct about knowing what they want, and getting it. Pity about the slave caste system though, that's going the way of the dinosaurs once I figure out how to commercialise Sustainment.

Which will, probably, be soon after I finish igniting new nebulae and galaxies to repopulate the universe with stars-with a little help from my companions. Danny, watch carefully-I'll be expecting you to do the same thing in a few billion year. Watch as I awaken the new batch of suns' souls, so they do more than just roll over to the next tide of eldritch abominations. Attagirl Sunny, teach that sun how to punch good! Right hook! Left hook! It's a knockout!

I do feel bad for Rendain. But as difficult as the situation he was in, he should've known better than to bargain from a position that poor.

all disk Disgaea characters have the same weakness, they are bound by finite numerical values. Stuff that damages based on percentages such as Pokémon or certain Noble phantasms will easily dispatch them, also the old Hellclaw Boots from infernals+ fashion from high school of the dead combo will protect you from anything that universe has to offer.
>>
>>52835936

I don't Liiiiike training, though. or at least, I don't like 'legitimate' training

I think the closest would be flinging myself at the hellish item worlds of the dachis and laughing at nearly dying so many times
it's weird cause i think the main thing is my jumper hates routines but loves thrillseeking

so anything that'd get him stronger just by flinging himself into danger often would probably help a lot for his advancement

I think my current build for Disgaea would actually help with that too
>>

Are you the anon who made Shadows of the Limelight's jump?

3. Abilities based on starlight or sunlight, or that produce new suns won't work unless you take the 'Rendain Was Right' Drawback.
So no praising the sun, no Solar Warrior shenanigans, no Correspondence songs.

I'm annoyed that my plan of initiating a Big Bounce is blocked as well. I really really don't like any of these folks running around enough to get invested in them.

>so anything that'd get him stronger just by flinging himself into danger often would probably help a lot for his advancement

So he's a masochist?, Then here is a plan that can't be beat. Get the multiplication perk from teen titans or get shadow clones from naruto and then have the shadow clones train for you and after you get strong enough have the Clone from teen titans fight for you. That's how I settle my problems with having to do work

I'm actually already in possession of Self-Dupe, for reasons. Not sure about Naruto but I was imagining that I could utilize the duplicated selves to get training going, or if nothing else to slow down Priere. I'm not adverse to some work, but I do hate routines a lot so if anything it'd probably come down to just delving the depths of my dachis in item world and relying on DETERMINATION(thank god I take willpower perks often) powering the Unlosing Jumper perk + Proto Ranger Belt
>>
>>52836370
I wonder: Could the deredachis enter their own Item Worlds? I mean, it says you can't bring the item with you, but if they came as their human form rather than their sword form, maybe that could work.

So I'm curious about something. I'm reading through the Magic stories on the Wizards site, just finished Zendikar and started on Innistrad, and the way the magic works doesn't seem to actually be like people described or anything like the game. No one taps lands for power and there don't seem to be any spells so much as people just having a natural talent for pyromancy or telepathy or something. And summoning Doesn't seem to be a thing at all. So am I missing something or what?

This one's a bit of a stretch but go to the King Arthur jump and choose Force of Will. One of the characters Gawain, explains that he and Lancelot are from another world that was destroyed by some kid that turns them into his personal snow globe collection, which is why they are now Resonators for their respective Rulers. Choosing this would have you start in FOW Gawain's version of Arthurian legend and have you stuck in a world thats gonna be snow globe soon, but if you have a way to travel to another world you can visit Grimm's World where Fairy Tails from Earth end up because their planet met the same fate, or you can go to Attoractia where Gawain and Lancelot ended up.

Either way Alice shows up on a quest to restore Earth, but she's been split into two one Light Alice and a Dark Alice. This is due to a mixture of her world being destroyed and her hatred for Gill Lapis/Snow Globe guy.

Its a stretch so, eh.

Apparently it works differently in the older books like Kamigawa (I haven't actually read those books?), but for Innistrad and Zendikar... Yeah, it's pretty much nothing like the game.

There's no real explanation on why they're sticking to the magic they're naturally talented at though, aside from the majority of them being shit mages.

Anyway, Garruk apparently does do summoning?

2.0: Removed non-canon limitations to Pandora and different Angelroid upgrades, made upgrades a subsection, gave Angelroids a proper perk tree, streamlined canon and OC companion options, added new 100 and 600 perks for all ‘human’ backgrounds, replaced ‘It’s Just Harmless Fun’ with ‘Apathy is a Virtue’, changed the intro and start time slightly. Items still need to be made less awful at some point. Decreased point gain from Uranus Queen, but it no longer counts towards the drawback cap.

Older books stay truer to the magic system, talking about how people need to focus on memories of lands to draw mana and letting people summon things (the plot of one book in the ice age centers around a guy who is tricked into thinking he's a summoned copy of himself.)

I guess you can assume that stuff is all going on in the background and the canon mages all just happen not to use summoning?

So what exactly can an Infernal make with custom Charms, and how does one do it? Do you just pour a lot of time and effort into finding out how to produce a given effect and end up with a Charm? Mostly because they were afterthoughts and kinda entangled too hard with each other. It's also possible to make a new companion/import a Second Generation, it just involves dumping their 400 choice points for the upgrade. T'was the intent - if I missed a 'no you can't do that' from the old version, direct me to it.

Maybe I'll do proper OC companions now that the perk tree is big enough, but it feels a little unnecessary. I'll give it some thought.

Seems fine? Infernal charms generally get somewhat better with increasing essence?

>>52837742
>So what exactly can an Infernal make with custom Charms
Effects that make sense for the Yozi/Devil Tiger's theme, or combinations of multiple Yozi's themes with Heretical Charms?

>and how does one do it? Do you just pour a lot of time and effort into finding out how to produce a given effect and end up with a Charm?
Pretty much, yeah.

Solars and such work with the mundane ability governing that charm, but Infernal Charms just kinda arise from their themes?

>Is it possible to make your own "Perfect" Attacks and Defenses?
Yeah.

>If so, do you have to start out with those as your goal, or is a something of a "modifier" you can invest more time in to achieve?
That's the goal then? Both of those would be a charm on their own. Perfect defenses generally being easier than perfect attacks.

All the Yozis already have perfect defenses though, so making your own is really only useful for Devil Tigers. Since all of a Yozi's perfect defenses have the same Flaw.
>>
>>52837891
>immune to sound based attacks
Would that include other vibration-based attacks, or is it just for those that transmit through the air?
>>
>>52837736
How about a Wave Rider (or just a generic time ship), but the time travel only works in universes where it's already a thing?
>>
>>52838031
The known Flaws, for those curious:

>Malfeas: The king of Hell is the Demon City itself, so his perfect defenses don't work in the wilderness. Doesn't have to be a city, you just have to be somewhere that's been intentionally shaped by conscious beings. A road, or a ship, or even a landscaped yard would count.

>Cecylene: Cecylene's law is that it is right that the strong rule over the weak. You can't use her perfect defenses against attacks from something with Essence two or more points higher than yours. Good thing it's a ten point scale.

>She Who Lives in Her Name: One of the more accommodating Imperfections, SWLiHN's defenses just cost more against attacks she's not familiar with, since she's all about understanding and cosmic order.

>Adorjan: The Silent Wind is always running to outrace her past, and so her perfect defenses require you to be running at least at an unenhanced dashing speed.

>The Ebon Dragon: Kind of an obvious one, he's the Yozi of shadows and being a dick, so Holy attacks circumvent his defenses.

>Kimbery: Another minor one, they just cost more if you're not near the sea. Kind of cheating for Kimbery herself, since she IS a sea, but oh well.

There's also something called Greater Imperfections, but you don't have to worry about those as an Infernal. They're just there to turn fights against actual Yozis into puzzle bosses to get around how OP they normally are. The canon example we have is that the Ebon Dragon is seriously weaker in all ways against someone who's channeling their virtues to oppose him.
>>
>>52837966
That seems somewhat arbitrary, especially since it appears to be based on Oliver who was able to learn magic abnormally quickly.

Kind of, yeah. But it's not like Malfeas isn't cheating almost as hard, being a city himself.

And Cecelyne's at 10 anyway, so her Flaw doesn't apply to her either... (though her perfect defense is still pretty bad, since it also lets attacks that can strike incorporeal beings through).

>>
>>52838417
Eh, Malfeas's Flaw could effect him under other circumstances. Like, it works in Hell because you can't go anywhere without being in Malfeas. There is nowhere there that isn't part of a developed place, so it automatically works. Except Cecylene, but then there's infinite distance between you and him, so your attack is unlikely to land. But if he goes someplace else, someplace bigger than him, then suddenly it's possible for Malfeas to be in a place that is not developed for use. It's like how someone on a ship might count for his perfect defenses, since they're in a thing that was developed for use. But the ship itself wouldn't, because the ship is in the ocean.
>>
>>52838417
Really it's more that Ebon is a scrub for having a flaw that's actually a flaw for him. Adorjan has Charms to always be running, SWLIHN it's ridiculously hard to trigger on something as old as her, and the other three have already been covered.

There is only one single period of time where Egypt was ruled by black people. The one most people think about is Cleopatra VII Philopator, the one ruling Egypt at the time of Caesar. And she definitely was Greek, her family was massively inbred and her entire genealogy for four generations dates back to a single couple. In fact, the only non-Greek Cleopatra to rule Egypt (it's a Greek name, even) was Cleopatra I, who was still not black or a native Egyptian, she a princess of the Seleucid Empire, descended from Macedonians and having a common ancestry with Greeks.

He can actually still use his perfect defenses, as long as the attack isn't also Holy. It's just more expensive for him to do so.

And also channelling a virtue to defend against any physical or social attack he makes causes the defense to perfectly succeed. Which... really sucks for Ebby, considering it's also always allowed to channel any virtue against him.

It's implied other Synapse Residents use Avatars Hiyori does it, Daedalus made a clone of herself as a not!Avatar, and we see a room full of similar capsules, but Minos is the only one who really 'interacts' with Earth in big ways, usually by torching civilizations with Ikaros for funsies.

We never do get a proper reveal of their history. Just that they're highly advanced and suffering from ennui. The manga never revealed how they acquired Rule or developed their tech. Which...is frustrating, putting it mildly.

Depends what you mean by slightly. They're no Yemeni or Somali, but they're visibly darker than a European. Though obviously it varies.

North Africans in general are paler than people from the actual Arabian Peninsula, though. Probably because Berbers are paler than Arabs in the first place, and also maybe because of Southern European blood drifting in during the Greek/Roman era.

>Modern humans are just more attractive in general though.

I almost want to argue this, but honestly, it's kind of pointless, because we have no actual idea of how attractive people were back in those time, attractiveness is subjective to the culture of society at large and the sensibilities of the individual, and these days we have all kinds of ways to dress ourselves up to look more attractive, most importantly being the fact that these days we're way cleaner and better groomed.
>>

Well that's a shame. It seems so interesting too. Got another question though. In the document it says
>technology that alters time or reality on a conceptual level cannot be copied at all – it is beyond the Angelroid’s ability to replicate Rule, ..

Now, that might be pedantic, but isn't Rule just manipulation of the material world, albeit on a ridiculous scale? Or is really some kind of conceptual pseudo-science stuff?

There are various records about what happened with marriages in the northern egyptian population. Basically they did get bred out, but we also know mostly with who, basically greeks for the most part, later on the various "roman" populations, who may have mainly been made up of greeks anyway. Part of why the northern egyptians were the upper classes is because they ultimately were the ones that controlled trade through the nile delta and into the mediterranean, and with trade they married with other more distant populations, namely their main trade partners. At the same time the southern egyptians moved north as northern egypt grew more prosperous and there were marriages between classes there. Eventually though records kind of fail but at the same time the ruling class kind of collapsed, so they are assumed to have been absorbed into the rest of the population.

Probably the large amounts of food and easy access to essential nutrients. I think the fact that birth-control is mostly made of estrogen is also a reason why women seem to be more attractive now a days. Well that and all the make up not that I'm complaining.

The thing is though, that's not something that's just going to happen, natural selection is a result of people always aiming for the hottest pieces of meat. Trends like that don't just happen without humanity's input on the matter. If women are getting shorter, it's because men are selecting for shorter women. If more women are becoming thicker in general, it's because that's what everyone is into these days.

Purely cosmetic effects aren't worth 400. Make it the 100 perk and bump the 100 and 200 up.

>Phoenix Scroll
What kind of miracle does the phoenix give you? Needs some examples.

>Wand of Silent E
Needs to be restricted from working on words or languages that didn't exist when you entered the jump.

>Drawbacks
You have a lot of perks and a lot of drawbacks, so consider raising the drawback cap to somewhere in the 800-1200 range. Also, a lot of the more expensive drawbacks are only worth 100-300 points. Having a compulsion to prank call people isn't worth 400cp, for instance.

>Count The Years
I'm a little leery about such a huge time extension that you get 600 cp for.

>The Show Must Go On
Not worth 800 points, and the stopping point should be the present rather than the date of the chain start, to account for people who make jumpers native to other settings.

>A Boy and his Frog
Does playing a character who has mind control abilities allow you to mind control people who watch the show? Because that's the only way I can imagine a peak human could bring about international peace using a children's television show.

Clearly you have a good appreciation for the settiing.
But, if I am going to be useful I've got to say some negative things, so here I go:
The formatting is a little off, there's a lot of spaces and the font's a bit small.
And I find it odd that there is only one discountable perk for each job and one discountable item per job.
>>

Pretty fast, I'd say. Telly and Oscar start digging from Sesame Street when Big Bird leaves to go to China, and they finally get there midway through his adventure. It's not clear how long it took Big Bird to reach China, mind you, since we cut from his departure to his arrival in China, but since there is a time limit on using the scroll to find the Phoenix, I'm guessing that it didn't take very long. Probably a few days, tops.

Thunder and Lightning: Okay, I'll switch them around.

Phoenix Scroll: That's kind of tricky. The person seeking the wish is Big Bird, who, as you can guess, isn't very greedy. He just wants to learn more about China, and in the end he just asks for a song, which the Phoenix does while providing visual illusions of China's wonders. In the other lore in the special, we learn that the Phoenix helps the sun rise every day, and that it used its song to melt the hearts of demons so they gave back the sun they kidnapped.

Silent E- That's a good point.

Drawbacks- Sorry, I'm not always the best judge on what rank to give for drawbacks.

Count the Years- Should I get rid of it, then?

The Show Must Go On- How much do you think it's worth? Also, how should I explain the stopping point in the jump (just saying the present is kind of vague)?

>>52840756

Sorry about the font; I usually use 12 point for normal text, but I can increase it if it helps. I'm not the best at formatting, but I'll see what I can do. As for the jobs, keep in mind that many of them only have a couple small appearances on the show; since I didn't think I'd be able to come up with enough perks and items equally and already had 12 species, I decided to just give 1 apiece for the jobs.

The purchase ensures you meet on favorable grounds, and in the case of Ikaros, that probably means her landing spot isn't too far away from where you are at the time. The others are really easy to pick up in place of Tomoki, especially since he does his best to avoid the plot anyways. Just be nice to Nymph and disarm the bomb in her collar when she goes looking for Ikaros, and feed Astraea.

>>
>>52841830

>>
>>52841961
No, a better way would have been to just build the Territory in such a way that you don't need to introduce people to it for them to stumble their way in.
>>
So how powerful exactly are the people in Undertale? I've seen people claim Sans can stand of to people like the Endless, but from what I've seen of the game, that seems... dubious at best.
>>
>>52841961
Pretty sure the option that makes it so people are naturally born with the talent means you don't have to worry about it?
>>
>>52840415
If people are still breeding, natural selection is still in action.
Survival of the Fittest doesn't mean faster/stronger/smarter/better looking people have more babies.
It means that whatever people are best suited to their environment (i.e. the most fit) tend to breed and have more children that survive than those less suited.

Like, say, if their was a factor of some sort that killed anybody with an IQ higher 90 before they had a chance to live to their maximum breeding potential, odds are that a few generations down the line, there wouldn't be very many people with an IQ higher than that.
Because they are not the most fit for that environment.

Evolution is kind of like a bajillion games of pachinko being played simultaneously, forever.

Sans is a meta cheating fuck with laserbeams. He's also really really fucking good at reading people and guessing what they'll do. To the point where he can juke and bait someone with savestates on deck.

I dunno who told you he could punk the endless, but he's not that good. His firepower is based entirely on how much of a dick someone else is so he's really only good at killing satan analogs.

As for normal Undertale powerlevels they're not that high unless you subscribe to vs battes. There's magic but it's just light danmaku with some movement restriction until you get to the 2 or 3 monsters that are outliers.
>>
>>52842000
Eh, I guess. I would just it rather be self-sufficient or make it so it's only reliant on myself.

>>52842041
See, but that requires a lot of people to work. Like, in post-apocalyptic worlds, you wouldn't think there'd be enough people to stabilize it. I mean, if need be, I can do that but I'd like to eventually make it an actual pocket dimension that can stand on its own.
>>
>>52841918
Martian Beauty: Yes, that's right.

Bus Stop: I think that either an equivalent like a caravan would show up, or a grouch bus anyway just to be ornery.

Thunder Cloud- Yes, that's possible if you teach it to do so.

Rapunzel: What I meant was that the hair would stop growing long so fast, so you could then cut it back to a normal level; I'll make it clearer in the description.
>>
>>52842018
>Sans can stand up to people like the Endless
What. Who said that? Sans is pretty buff, but he's nowhere NEAR that level. Uh, alright, standard level of power for Undertale is around...I'd say your typical Sword and Sorcery setting for the most part? Monsters are fairly fragile but they do have powerful magic, and some of them are pretty strong (Undyne, Toriel, Asgore, Sans, technically Papyrus but he's too nice to really hurt anyone). Basically, Undertale monsters are for the most part an entire race of Squishy Wizards with a few tough ones, with humans (from what we saw) being Warriors, more physically tough but without magic, save for a few who were able to create the Barrier way back when.

The exception to this is ANYTHING to do with Flowey once he gets his hands on the SOULs. Omega Flowey is able to casually shrug off pretty much any damage done to him by Frisk as well as instantly heal himself, plus he can pull off time loops an all sorts of weird magic tricks. Asriel as the God of Hyperdeath is even more powerful, basically bringing about the end of the world in the final boss battle with him. That being said, Frisk will be able to deal with both of them, so you won't have to worry about them unless you decide to help Frisk fight those fights.
>>
>>52842145
Cool, thanks for the answers.
>>
>>52842160
Doesn't Asriel literally eat the SOULs of every monster in the Underground in order to make up the difference of a single human SOUL? Or does that not count as dying? Wouldn't the entire plot of Undertale be completely fucked if you went in as a human anyway?
>>
>>52841961
>Dimension Lord dimension might "stabilize"
Probably not, but the Tower of Fate might.
>>
>>52842107
If they're the ones making the most babies that in turn make the most babies, yes.
They've adapted to their environment.

Life doesn't care about being the best (stronger, faster, tougher, etc.).
Life cares about survival and reproduction. Sometimes things have to get stronger, faster, and tougher to survive, but given the choice, life will take the path of least resistance.

It's the same reason dodos went extinct; they were adapted to their current environment, but then a new pressure they weren't accustomed to bore down on them and wiped them out before they had a chance to change.

It's also the same reason invasive species can be so destructive; they might be adapted to a place much harsher and subsequently wipe the floor with whatever competition they may have, or their competition might simply have no defense against them.
>>
What would happen if I ate an Orgel of Origins with something like Savage Salvage, or feed it to a Traveler's Territory, or something similar?
>>
>>52842278
You seem to be missing out that our current situation is largely because of the very unnatural mechanic of contraceptives and birth control, which are mainly why those more fit and wealthy people aren't having kids, rather than because they're not going through the mechanical acts of breeding.
>>
>>52842237
Monster SOULs fall apart when they die, so I don't think having your SOUL eaten by Asriel when he does his thing near the end would count as death.
>>
>>52842237
He does, but you can avoid that if you just go and chill out with Napstablook, because he was able to avoid getting eaten. That, and I don't think it counts as dying because everyone came back after Frisk SAVEd them and Asriel. Worst case, you'll probably have to be SAVEd yourself. That, or just have some perks to prevent your SOUL from being stolen.

Also, sort of? You come in five years before Frisk falls, so as long as you just hang out with Toriel until then the plot should stay relatively intact, just with an additional human (you) around.

Its a setting where the magic is derives from mini planes thaf have latched onto ths main world after rheir own worlds collapsed. People gain the ability to go into these world, usually one person to one world, by gates they can open.

The magic is used by applying stuff from that world, either its physics or summoning the animals from it.

The different worlds need people because people make them more stable and real.

>>52842280
If you go for the post retconed version you're going to die if you eat it. Putting it in your territory is asking for it as well since it eats the universe to work.

Now if you're using the usual white hole version of it you'll probably explode if you eat it and putting it in your territory to get absorbed would probably make it very energetic. Perhaps too energetic. Odds aren't bad that it would explode too.
>>
>>52842413
Really? It's got a fair amount too it, really useful.
>>
>>52842512
There was a retcon?
>>
>>52842315
It's still irrelevant.
The most fit for their environment have the most children.
If a creature is actively trying not to have children, then it's obviously less fit for it's environment than the ones that are ambivalent, or active trying to have more children than average.

There's no intelligent, guiding force behind the process of evolution. At least, there's none that's apparent.

Agree with other anon that eating it will probably cause you to explode.

Feeding it to your Territory? Well it gains some effect similar to your territory conceptually. The OoO is a white hole generator right? So it would generate probably near-limitless amounts of something related to your Territory.

Yes, early on the Orgel was a miracle device that produced energy from nothing. Later on the retconned it into an evil monstrous abomination that kills the universe and dissolves it into pure energy, which it uses as output. This of course means that the towers that saved everyone and the reyvateil that are connected to them are evil monsters that should not exist.

Shits on the original triology really hard, but they only did this after they switched to a prequel series and so I doubt they care if they shit on their original work or its fans at this point.

There's no purpose or grand strategy here, anon.

Evolution is 'accounting' for anything, because it's not a thinking being.
It's a word we use to describe the process by which animals seem to change and adapt to their environment and the pressures in it through successive generations.

You keep trying to anthropomorphize it. It's just a phenomenon.

>>52842619
I think the word you're actually looking for is 'synthetic' which is subtly different to 'unnatural' and 'natural'.
There's no such thing as a truly unnatural thing.
Everything that humans have ever done could have appeared spontaneously given an infinite amount of time and resources.

It's like saying that nuclear reactors are 'unnatural' when there are naturally generated structures on earth that functioned almost identically to them. I mean, most of them have exhausted their fuel by now, and the power was just sort of wasted, but it still happened.

And even then, the fact that individuals of a species are actively sabotaging their own chances of reproductions only showcases how unfit they are to reproduce.

>>
>>52842941
The entire problem with your premise is that you'd need to justify contraception as something humans actually evolved to make use of. That's basically the whole issue. It isn't some kind of outside pressure or environmental issue, it's literally artificial chemicals being introduced willingly. Yet according to you, they're natural and part of natural human behavior because, theoretically, nature could have evolved a living, flying condom that likes to attach itself to dicks and prevent them from impregnating anything because, fuck if I know, it wants to eat semen? Nevermind that such a thing doesn't exist, at all, and thus arguing condoms themselves are natural is completely idiotic. Your arguments basically consist of that and talking up how much you like leeches.
>>
>>52843014
Your argument has nothing to do with biology. Essentially they only thing you brought up even approaching it is an argument of probability.
>>
>>52842920
Well I'm not him but I should be able to answer this.
Flying fortresses ontop of clouds is a given example of an inner world so layers should be fine.
You shape a sphere with a radius of essence*miles so if you want it to go really deep you'll just have to do more shaping vertically than someone who wanted a flat plane.

WHO DARES SUMMON ME?

>Markduth
...Okay then.

>Can I make my inner world multi layered by digging it down then starting the process of inner world building again underneath it?
Notably, you don't have to physically be there to create things with the Charm (you meditate on it instead, not needing to be in your world), so digging isn't necessary.

>Or how does it wofk? Is there like just a void underneith of is it solid all the way down?
Well, every time you Shape a new piece of your world through the Charm, you can create things within a sphere with (Essence) miles in radius (so from 6 to 10 miles). You could have it be solid, or hollow, or whatever you wish.

Outside of what you shape is just... nothing.

>Can it already exist in layers standard?
Sure. Malfeas has a ton of layers too.

Hope this helps?

>>

>Outside of what you shape is just... nothing.
You mean, like, a void of endless blackness? Or is it more like a wall?
>>
>>52842799
What the hell are you even arguing?

You were literally wrong about how evolution works and then you turn around and make fun of the person who corrected you for something totally unrelated. It's not even something controversial, nature is everything within the confines of the natural universe, laws of physics and the patterns of interactions between forces and matter all.

Humans evolved to the point they are, and if a human decides to invent and use contraception, then it's because biological factors or environmental factors pressured it to do so, which leads to them breeding themselves out of the gene pool.

Evolution is everything that leads to the life, death, and propagation of living organisms. It is the process of most shit dying but some things dying or having more babies. It's Natural Selection whether your dumb ass wants to call it natural or not.

Humans exploit their environment to their advantage and create tools to carry out their desires more easily. That's something evolution engendered into us, because it's worked for us. Tool use is a pert of natural selection as anything else, it's as NATURAL as anything else, whether you agree that tools themselves are natural or not, because we evolved to use tools, and we also evolved to like sex and hate kids.

So, of course, we're going to create a tool that lets us fuck without worrying about having kids. Ironically, the optimal solution to this problem is for humanity from an evolutionary standpoint to stop liking sex and start loving children. So either everyone becomes a pregnancy fetishist, or we stop having kids.

>>

Just to throw in my two-pence and agreeing with both of you:
There's little real difference between using condoms and just chosing not to reproduce. The later is just less fun, and in either case kids aren't being made.
So condoms are largely irrelevant and whether or not they are natural or not is even more so.

>>52843020 is so obviouslt shitposting, it isn't even funny. How can you not understand when someone goes through that much trouble to simpify matter for you?

>>52843265
Just nothing. Basically, you're creating a world (inside your soul), which only exists in the parts you've shaped up.

No description's ever given on what's outside the shaped area, though I personally doubt you'd have an endless void there?

Hm. Then again, Qaf has his empty white dimension, so you might? Or it might be a wall, or Ravenloft-style mists, or leaving on one side meaning you just wrap around and enter on the opposite side, or something else...

It probably depends on the aesthetic of your world, and personal preference. In any case, it's something you can decide for yourself?
>>
>>52843392
Maybe Pure Chaos?
It would be a convenient source of material for shaping and would mirror the Primordials own early stages of growth.
>>
Sorry to bother with asking this but my small monkey brain can't seem to grasp what was written down. I can have as many companions as I want, but only eight can be active for a jump and I can only grab people who aren't offered in a companion buy pods. I got that right yeah?

Yep, that's correct.
>>
>>52843425
Pretty much yeah. People you have tied to pods don't count towards the 8 person limit though so you can squeeze a couple more in if you want.

There are also some options in some jumps that allow for mass imports but those only last for the duration of the jump.
>>
>>52843425
Correct. You can also use a blue feather from Harvest Moon to Marry someone, which would make them a companion. A number of people here use Cheat mode from Minecraft to duplicate those so they can companion as many people as they want.

>>52842413
Of the world outside the magic you have two major nations at play, the Empire and Enoch. The Empire is by far the better staffed of the two and headed up by a royal family with access to one of the three not on offer Territories. That once is the Crimson Vault, full of devastating weapons or other cursed items. Significantly more powerful than the others, but more because it extracts power from more places instead of being more efficient. Like one item is a wand that shoots devastating bolts of energy but wears at your sanity.

Enoch is in a Cold War with the Empire to start, they openly hate the Empire but can't move openly against them without being crushed. But anyway, Enoch is full of cultists of the Incarnations, living avatars of Territories that have all been sealed away by the Empire. Two of the three protagonists spend most of the first couple books roughly on the side of Enoch because the Empire attacked their home town because it refused to give them a tithe of sacrifices for the trees keeping the Incarnations sealed. This goes well until they actually successfully release a few and discover they're all inhuman monsters with ridiculous power. In the end they manage to get things under control again, by killing the current Incarnations instead of sealing them again (though one of the protagonists becomes a relatively benevolent Incarnation). This leaves the spots open for when some other fool over channels in the wrong circumstances, but saves the blood tithe and strengthens the connection to the main world, and your average Incarnation tends to enter their Territory (which they can't leave again) once they complete whatever task drove them to Incarnate.

But he just will NOT. STOP. FUCKING UP. Seriously, it gets to the point that when he finally Incarnates it barely even corrupts his mind, because his decision-making skills are so terrible. He spends the entire third book ignoring the Lights of Elysium whenever they try to influence his thought processes, with the occasional exception of Gold because he likes the idea of being a Valorous hero.
