I would like to raise awareness that not only is Spheres of Might's new troubadour a scarily powerful and flexible class by tier 3 standards (as laid out in >>52715857, >>52719059, and >>52719535); it also has talent names such as:

>Deredere
>Himedere
>Kuudere
>Moe
>Tsundere
>Yandere

Adam Meyers has defended this by stating:

Under Adam Meyers' logic, anime waifu archetypes are "theater/performance tropes" that everyone is clearly familiar with.

Adam Meyers also seems to be the mind behind this class. How can we better inform him that the class is overloaded and overpowered by tier 3 standards?

As well, Adam Meyers must have a thing for quiet, doll-like anime characters, because dandere and kuudere are the two highest-priority talent choices for the Lover trope.

What you are proposing requires a full rework of the system. Shields need extensive rewrites to make them worth it. Two-handing is king because everything else requires copious amounts of feats, class features, and full round actions to get off the ground.

Get rid of all the individual weapons, just give the categories of weapons their own stats. IE, light simple weapons deal X damage with Y crit range, two-handed martial weapons have some other values. You can pick the damage type your weapon deals when you buy it. Fluff your weapon as whatever you want accordingly.

It won't fix everything but it's an important step on the way because there's no way you're balancing every single damn weapon in PF, there are too many for that.

It's also the only way to avoid giving each weapon tiny modifiers to try to differentiate them from each other (no, this one does slightly more damage, no, this one has trip and +2 to CMD for sunder attempts versus medium armor) which end up making the whole thing a garbage pit, not to mention usually resulting in a few 'best' weapons and everything else being a waste of space.

What is the best option for playing an ooze or an ooze-like character? I've seen the Gelatinous Cube races and classes from April Augmented/In The Company Of Gelatinous Cubes, and the various options in Gonzo II, but I'm not sure what to do. Has anyone here played an ooze, and if so how did you go about doing it?

By removing most all of them and going to a weapon chassis system. You would have a weapon group with certain key statistics, then modifications based on light or heavy. The player then says what kind of actual weapon it is.

Beat me to it, but having a few conditional modifiers to differentiate weapons wouldn't be too terrible, as long as they're balanced with each other.

You'd have to run numbers on average damage for dice steps and critical range, and rejigger the efficacy of certain tags (trip vs. set vs. reach, for example). If done right, each weapon type would have uses and proponents for optimized and unoptimized parties.

Starting off of the Fighter Weapon Groups for which kind of weapon archetypes people want would be a good idea.

I feel like it would open up the door to having a lot more feats that are meant for specific weapons (or weapon groups in this case), which could be a bad thing if it leads to more "must have feats" for martials to get if they want to be good with their weapon of choice. Then again, maybe you can replace Weapon Focus and Specialization with those feats, keeping the class restriction and giving Fighters the niche of being the only ones able to truly draw out the real power of their weapons. Feels on spot for the kind of flavor a Fighter should have, that being a weapon specialist.

There's already the Weapon Trick feat, and in a weapon group setup, Spec and Focus would apply to all weapons of that group. The number of feats wouldn't change, the number of mechanically distinct weapons would go down.

So instead of the bill, bec-de-corbin, fauchard, halberd, glaive, and whatever, you would have the Polearm weapon type. Weapon Spec/Focus would apply to the Polearm type, so if the Fighter picks up a cool bardiche or something, their feats would still work without retraining.

What's that ACP really going to do though, by the time that you can afford to have mithral full plate and a mithral tower shield? Climb and Swim don't come up very often, you don't need Acrobatics because you have the AC, Stealth is for other people and you can take your armor off and carry it for a little bit before putting it back on if that's really a problem, and Escape Artist is for wimpy DEX fags that can't STR-check their restraints.

Oversized Weapons is a cynical damage bonus, but cynical damage bonuses are necessary to keep up with basic monsters of your CR past 5th/6th.

Nobody gives a damn what you can do when you stack a bunch of 3pp shit together, because if you let the martial do it, then the caster does it and the game is fucked anyway. I mean holy shit; if you stack a bunch of damage enhancers together you do a bunch of damage! Stop the fucking presses!

Also, the Troubadour is a bunch of stupid busy bullshit that *maybe* puts it on par with a Warpriest, Chained Summoner or Alchemist played to the hilt. It's a badly designed class, the Factotum was a worse designed class, the entire tree of "I want to do all the things" has only borne poison fruit and will continue to only bear poison fruit.

This class is a microcosm of the reason people don't accept homebrew/3pp in their games.

DDS is bad and they should feel bad for the things they make.

The reason the Summoner got "un"chained was because their Eidolon shat all over anything a non-caster could do in combat at a surprisingly early level. The Barbarian caught a case not just because Rage Cycling was seen as cheesy and weird, but because they ate combat challenges alive with raw damage.

Fighters and Rangers had the easiest cynical damage bonuses to get (Weapon Training + Duelist's Gloves/Favored Enemy or Mark + Heavy Weapon Spells) and they were bottom of the barrel even in combat. See also: chained Scout Rogue, who had UMD, skills out the ass, and a piss easy way to get SA by 4th level and people still think it's the worst class in the game.

"Martials had no problem with damage" is a stupid meme spread by stupid people. Martials have problems with goddamn everything. The correct application of this idea is "martials can't be only damage".

Please, enlighten me as to how those 3/4 BAB casters do not make classes without spellcasting a joke. The best things the Fighter got out of recent splats was the ability to cast spells (Item Mastery), get magic abilities (MM and Weapon Soul), and a familiar (Eldritch Guardian).

The best thing the Ranger got was its shit jacked by the Hunter and the (Archetypes that steal from) Slayer so better classes could use them.

Hell, even the king of martials got rendered obsolete with Primalist Bloodranger.

Martial classes don't get nice things, don't get to do nice things, and only PoW utility powers or giving them outright spells come close to giving them nice things.

Semi-cancelled.

One of the players didn't show up, so we decided to go through our crafting. I now have a n intelligent shield that shines in the sun and has a bronze sheen due to it's draconic connection, a black dragon scale full plate that looks like I found it in a dumpster, is permanently dirty and comes off as non-magical despite being a +3 Determination full-plate and a pink cold iron long sword while the druid got a leather armor that becomes inert if not her and a pouch that looks like a carrot. The sorcerer got a neon green cloak and a neon green hats. Finally the last guy came, the cleric, who now is blue when he wears his armor. The ranger cohort's turtle was given permanent Antropomoprhic animal and now carries a gigantic cold iron lucerrne. After that debacle we went into a cabin by the side of a mountain on our quest to find a lost city of gold and evil wizards where the druid was almost killed by a zombie tree and my character and his daughter ate arsenic off the ground because a dwarf told us to.

Sometimes I wonder what the people think when our party moves about with the colors of Pride Parade led by a hobo with a giant bipedal turtle tailing the group.

I'll work on the outline for the campaigns that gathered more interest (so #1 and #3) and figure out how to word them more effectively.

So I'm doing my Usopp build and an issue I keep running into is that there's no real equivalent to the slingshot in the rules.

I can't just refluff a bow because slingshots don't usually use arrows or bolts (although if you watch the slingshot channel on Youtube you'd know that they can be modded to use them), I can't just refluff a normal sling because IIRC they explicitly call out that you can't use them in conjunction with thrown alchemical items, and the sling glove, slingstaff, and wrist launcher are all exotic weapons, the staff in particular being a halfling gimmick.

Should I just break down and homebrew this with the "create a weapon" rules or is there something I'm missing?

Modified ABP is choosing whether you get the mental boost or physical boost first, and the weapon or armor bonuses are put into a "pool" that can be used to "buy" special effects. Someone with Weapon Attunement +2 can choose to have a +1 Flaming longsword instead of a +2 Longsword, for example.
