This is a terrible idea, but here goes nothing.

I'm thinking I'll run a Fire Emblem game for /pfg/. Yeah, yeah, there are Fire Emblem tabletop homebrews floating around, but they're all dogshit, so Pathfinder isn't THAT much worse.

It won't really be Fire Emblem in mechanics, but in overall feel, I guess. And large scale grids.

The Sandpoint branch of the Deverins are newcomers of a newcomer branch, the fact they even moved to a nothing town means they don't intend to adhere to common noble customs.

Multiclassing into Wizard will stall your Arcanist spell progression, even if it's just a one level dip. It is one of, if not the worst, multiclass I've ever seen.

Akashic's execution left much to be desired.
Many of the veils were "+2 to these two skills, add essence for more". Quite a few veils were weak or near useless, while others still would be good but only if one put all of their essence into it.

And the essence balancing was a problem exacerbating all of this.

Let's take what was supposed to be a primary attack in many cases, such as viziers or the marksman archetype: Hand Cannons.

These had a 20ft range, 2d6 but no stat to damage, hit against regular AC. Now, they do let you use your veilweaver level as your BAB when attacking with them but they also completely lock out ANY OTHER weapon use for some reason for a round. You can't even kick someone as an AoO if you've used hand cannons.

In order to grow, hand cannons of course use essence. And this is where things fuck up. Every point invested is +5ft range (so 70ft by endgame), and every TWO points is a +1 enhancement.
So, a Vizier - the highest capacity class of all - can get it to... +3 by 11th, and +4 IF they add a feat to it at level 19. You can use an expensive catalyst to get it up to +5 (cost of a full weapon, nearly, if you want that +3 catalyst to reach +5 around 11+)

And the secondary enhancements? You get, if binding it, to choose, with enough essence, to take up to TWO of either Flaming Burst, Shocking Burst, or Icy Burst. That's it that's all the end. Nothing could be better as an enchantment for a 20/x2 weapon right?

So there's a lot of veils that need mass investing just to keep up, but even on the highest veilweaver they're not that impressive.

Finally there's quite a few veils that are just trash unless you can bind them to a specific slot, and those tend to be fought over massively. The crit-protection one is nothing but +AC vs confirmation rolls unless you shoulder-bind it which protects you from vorpal, but it's fighting against a bunch of other things like the dragon gorget.

As someone's that done this before, let me tell you the easiest way is to just be upfront about it, making sure to say why you're cold-posting (that is, throwing a request without any reason to).

Then you would describe the scene you had in mind, and the character. This is important. Nobody wants to get a request from someone who says, "I wanna fuck, do you?" And then realize they want to do some weird fetish thing with a character that doesn't fit the kink.
