I didn't realise how close we were to the end of the thread, so I'll just repost this here in case anyone is interested.

Here are a list of Devil-Tigers I have charmsets for. If your interested I can supply them. Please note that I originally complied these for my own use and so have not recorded where I got them or who made them, sorry. Also note that some are ambiguous as to whether they are for Devil-Tiger or unnamed Primordials/Yozi:
Just for clarity, I have made none of these.

Oh, dear. 4chan is telling me it is a Corrupted file or unsupported file type.

It's just a text file. Does 4chan have issues with that?

Give me a minute and I'll convert them to pdf.
>>
>>52480128
4chan only supports .pdf's or image files. Just paste everything onto a pastebin and post a link here.

can you absorb souls just by going to dark souls or do you have to pick that up somewhere else?
>>
>>52480289
Hellsing, Demon Souls, World Seed and the sb-version of Coiling Dragon all have soul-eating perks.
>>
>>52480289
Demon Souls should have a perk for that specifically. I'm pretty sure it's free.

That said, Dark Souls and Demon Souls souls are weird in that they're used like currency, and can even be divided up as if they were dollars and cents.
For instance you can get a soul worth 200 "souls", and then use that soul to buy something worth 120 souls, and still have 80 souls left over. So it seems more like collecting units of soul energy than whole souls.

But you should be able to do that even when you leave, in other jumps, with that perk.
>>
>>52480289
Sorry, I'm >>52480315
Just re-read your question and realised I didn't actually answer your question.

I would think so. You are an undead, like the player character and I think that being able to do that is part of what Undead can do per standard in order to try and keep their humanity.

Someone more fluent in Dark Souls may be able to tell you more definitely.

Being a wizard and using the Expert tree of perks from Forgotten Realms, would creating a series of non-sentient transparent servants a la those from a Magnificent Mansion to maintain an estate be possible?

I'm thinking of something like an wondrous item that when activated forms a set number of visible unseen servants bound to the estate grounds.

That said

Jumpers!
Do you have servants? What do you need them for? Do you hire real people or do you have constructs/summons?

there are two drawbacks that reward you with excalibur in that. one is

>Excalibur + 300
>At least when you leave this jump you get a powerful
QUIET sword, right?

and

>King’s Aide + 300
>If you succeed in keeping The King alive and on
the throne you may choose one of two options. Bring The King or one of the still living members
of their court with you on your adventures. Or Be Given The King’s Sword, Excalibur, which will
be just as powerful in your hands.

JD'd probably betray you if it meant he'd have a shot at glory and mattering depending on what part of the play you meet him in (He was going to kill his gf at one point in the play, and tried to blow up the school because at one point in the play he think that every time he kills someone the world gets better or something like that? He's a villain for a reason, though.) and it's heavily implied he's super insecure in himself. I'm not trying to justify the stuff he does with blowing up the school, just explaining it.

He's not irredeemable if you stop him from doing it and helping him out by giving him a sense of purpose.

>>52478024

Er...I'm fairly certain (unless this is talking about Archanea, Valentia, or Magvel games which are admittedly holes in my knowlege) that doesn't happen? Unless what you're talking about is a heavily bastardized version of what happened with Alvis, Dierdre, and the cult of Loptyr.
>>
>>52480361

>>
>>52480369
Anima Beyond Fantasy also has Caliburn as a 600 CP item discounted for psions and mages. It even has the ability to drag you into Avalon and make you invincible, as well as being a pretty good wizard stick and sword.

>>
>>52480073
You're probably thinking of the capstone for royals in Minish Cap which gives you an unbreakable sphere of light that drains your reserves like a motherfucker but it invincible.
>>
>>52480361
Time to jump this then.

Batman: the Animat- *Record Scratch* Bee Movie!

That was great. Didn't see it coming at all

Few questions... for Jumpchain, But Every Time They Say Jumper It Goes Faster, do they have to say 'Jumper' in your presence, or does it trigger wherever they and you are?

You have to pick a specific celebrity when you buy the perk for Jumper Larry King, right? Can you buy it multiple times for different voices?

When you use God-Emperor of Beekind, do they have any extra ability to understand you commands? Like, if I tell a normal bee to fly to the kitchen, would it be able to figure out what and where the kitchen is?

Jump Movie Scripts... so these are scripts for a ten-year long movies?

I assume the Honey is only honey from the bees here, right? Honey from the Bees of Zarlath would be nice, but I'm guessing I'd need to get that by God-Emperor'ing them into giving that to me.

Briefcase Full of Bees... do these bees need to eat (like, do I need to periodically dump out starved bees if I don't do so)?

Could the Honey Camp also become a Warehouse attachment?

Also, these drawbacks are horrible above the +100 tier. Damn.

Increases accuracy of spells fired through it, can't be broken, increases the user's Power characteristic (Making them better at magic), Gives the bearer bonuses to leadership, protects from bleeding, being burned, or frozen, is hard to disarm (and can be resummoned if it is disarmed, though since it takes 3 seconds, just picking it up might be faster), boosts the combat ability of all allies, lets you once per day look at a targets' successful attack or defense and say, "No, reroll that", gives a mild boost to all resistances, and can burn off a point of power (basically a bit of your soul) to make you temporarily invincible.

I've had fellow players argue that it's supposed to also boost the power of spells channeled through it, but I'm pretty sure that's bullshit and he was just trying to pull one over on the DM, but if someone who's more familiar with Anima than me wants to clarify that...

Okay, before I get really heavy into gear I'd like your guys thoughts on some Agent perks for Cyberpunk.

On Your Feet (300cp, Discount Agent): Entire lives have been ruined on a fleeting hunch, a gut feeling, people following a passing whim. You will never be one of them, because your instincts have never failed you and never will. Your instincts and gut feelings are sharper than your rational mind most of the time, but most of all this shows itself when you don’t have time to think. Whether it’s a desperate firefight, a reckless car chase, or having a split second to find someplace to hide yourself you don’t have to think, just react. You’ll find you threw yourself into the best spot you had for cover or concealment, that you can practically let your gun fire itself to unconscious but very effective accuracy, and you’ll never make a wrong turn when you’re busy trying to avoid crashing at high speeds. With your instincts you can save the actual thinking for later, and just focus on keeping on your feet.

Off the Grid (300cp, Discount Agent): Every street corner has a hundred watching eyes, human or otherwise. Between the crowds, the cameras, and god knows what else it’s a wonder that there are still cracks to slip through. You’re living proof though. You have an incredible skill when it comes to disappearing, especially where electronic and technological means of surveillance is concerned. Just paying a little attention is enough to tell where the holes in such things are, and how to slip past them without much trouble. Compared to the invisible web of sensors and security that the best engineers have put together, actual people aren’t all that hard, letting you slip in past armed guards and the like rather easily. Sometimes you gotta sneak in rather than out after all.

I'm tempted to rewrite the second one, I'm kinda worried it's a bit messy and I should tweak it to make it read better and work a bit cleaner mechanically.

So I'm looking at Occult Practices in Soul Eater and I'm wondering something. I'd you wanted to do something like recreate an energy source that normally comes from a particular person, place, or thing, would you need to have a machine constantly generate it or Could you just sort of infuse someone with that energy and have it perpetuate directly from them?
>>
>>52481250
Chipping away at it with the help of NuBee and some IRC folks. I seriously should have thought twice before adding as many powers as I am but I'm too stubborn to try and go for anything less at this point.
>>
>>52481258
If you can use notepad.exe you can use pastebin. It's not rocket surgery.

Just paste them into seperate bins and drop 40 links in the same post, or drop them in one bin, and drop one link. rather than spamming up the thread

World seed status update,

Im adding a bunch of new items
Adding a few new races, mainly 3 elemental races
Grove not getting a mega size increase supercap but druid is getting another 400 tier ability to take on plant parts as parts of their body
Tech line is getting a second cap that allows them to make soace ships into megazords based on qulopti tech
Arcane caster is getting a pretty good enchanting based second cap
Drop in is getting an elemental avatar cap that lets them make a body out of elements they cultuvate and puppet it from a distance (size and shape depending on mp cost and cultivation)
More elements added. Mainly light and darkness.
A few new drawbacks.
Still no drawback cap

Well, thanks for going through the trouble of posting the first half. Having this much stuff to compare is gonna make making up Devil-Tiger stuff easier.

...also, a lot of the implied characters behind the Charmsets seem like great fun to get as soul advisors through Orphan Cub+You Are Not Me.

Thanks for the answers.

They do make it harder to pick what to get though, hm... Gotta have those voices, but there's actually pretty fun stuff amongst the rest too, and Jumpchain, But Every Time They Say Jumper It Goes Faster could get positively ludicrous with my set-up.

Oh, when God-Emperor of Beekind says 'on a global level', that means I can talk to bees wherever I go, right? Not that I can communicate with them over large distances?

You're welcome. Glad I could help. I'm just sorry I wasn't able to give all of them at once.

>soul advisors through Orphan Cub+You Are Not Me
Oh, yes. Some of them, but not some of the others. Jobaash is basically the Xellos from Slayers charmset. He would infuriate a saint, I'm sure.

>>52481888
Thanks anon, already knew about her but somehow thought she was a canon Yozi. I am having a dumbass day, today. Gotta love that nacre moola.
>>
>>52481869
For your second question, do you mean is it still a global level, covering the whole planet, if the planet you're on is bigger than Earth? If so, yes; it will cover the larger area of the bigger planet instead of an Earth sized area.
>>
>>52481860
>Having this much stuff to compare is gonna make making up Devil-Tiger stuff easier.
You should probably stick to comparing to the canon ones. A lot of these have janky mechanics. For example, Understanding Through Magnificence is a stronger, cheaper version of the canon Charm Interlocution Metamorphosis Prophecy

>>52481930
Technically, she is canon, but nothing is known about her but her name and the fact that she died, so in practice she's basically a custom Yozi.

> Not The Bees! [+200BP]

At first, I was beeside myself with worry, at the thought of antagonizing bees. But then, in sudden beewildering insight, I remembered... my skin is too durable for bees to sting!
So, I spent a lot of time with Dr Bees. When asked why his bees kept surrounding me, I simply said that I was beeloved!

I didn't talk a lot this jump.

> "What's this note? 'During this jump, I can only talk in bee puns.' Oh. So, this means you're gonna break out the text-to-speech device again, huh?"
> "You better beelieve it!"
> "... oh my god."

So, I spent a lot of time with Dr Bees. He'd unleash his bee swarms, and then I'd tackle criminals. And then they'd scream a lot. Also, I threw a lot of honey and honey based products at people.
Whenever I needed a break from bees, I'd generally go off to some underground lab or something.

I've never actually watched Bee Movie and I flat out refuse to do so.

> "Thank god that jump is over. What's next? I am so tired of bees."
> "TIRED OF BEES YOU SAY? THAT SOUNDS LIKE A JOB FOR... DR BEES!"
> "OH MY GOD NO. YOU DID NOT BRING HIM WITH US. NO. NO!"
> Konata just laughs like a maniacal villain.
>>
>>52481952
...Wait, really?

I can command all the bees on the planet at once?

Well, unfortunately, I do jumps out of story order. So every time I post a jump, it's in some nebulous timeline void. So the "next jump" will not necessarily be the next jump I post, and I'm not even sure what that jump would be, because I've made poor decisions about jump sorting such that my jump order is more or less whatever "feels" right, or "yeah I guess?"

But... that DOES mean I can reorder jumps pretty easy, which allows for some fun questions like...

I mean, sure, I prefer to do neuralyzing on neutrals and people I like. It's less messy, for starters.

But, really, if someone is shooting you in the face, something has already gone wrong. In most of those situations there is more than one bad guy. And they're usually not even the fun kind of bad guy, because fun bad guys are usually more creative than that.
I have a very low tolerance for bad guys who aren't fun.

Like, you know the Raiders from Fallout? Or the bandits from Baldurs Gate? Or prettymuch any gang of thugs from any action movie ever?
Those guys become fodder for my very own personal "this character is dangerous" scene.

It tends to be somewhat messy.
But my hair looks great after.

The jump mentions exact dates for various parts of the setting. Do you really think the jumpmaker would have done that without a copy of the book around to double check? But if he had a copy, all he had to do was look at who published it.

He could only have done that because about the setting is made up and there was no book to check for publishing information.

People tried even in the really early days as far as circumventing goes. Things like the Waddle Dees weren't made specifically with pods in mind, but it led to the idea of multi slot companions, and we had one or two jumpmakers pretty much known for that deal. This was especially true since most jumpmakers had no focus on companions back then except for those few. Some jumpmakers tried to explicitly tackle the problem by adding in pods, this was generally met with REEs. Even multi slot companions led to people REEing. Eventually the same jumpmakers known for bending the rules companion wise went for "inactive" companions, allowing people to bring more companions in under some sort of stipulation. The Nomanisan island item is probably the most well known example, but it definitely had plenty of predecessors that came before it that people overlooked.

Are there any perks that would let me steal someone's soul and/or consciousness, and then place said soul/consciousness into a new body?

I'm looking for an alternative to permanently killing, that I can use after already digesting the entirety of someone's physical body.

The obvious perk is that one from hellsing, but considering that the souls that Alucard/Seras summon never completely separate from their vampire goop, it gives me the impression that they're in their for good until they die.

I know it's not quite the same, anon, but... there are lots of ways to take brain scans from people in the chain, nowadays.
I think Biomega has stuff for that, and GUNNM has brain chips? I'm sure there's more, and I'm sure I've even collected more, but I'm bad at keeping track of shit.

Anyway, if you can scan someone's brain and create a backup, you could upload that into a robot or even a clone body. Then you just create periodic backups and "re-link" the memories to the original companion's brain somewhere later down the line, so that they know what "they" did.

Actually, you could probably even use shit like the Nomanisanisland from Incredibles, or anything else that allows companions to exist outside of the active roster, so that your "real" companions are constantly aware of or able to keep tabs on their dopplegangers.

I mean, once you get past a certain tech level, the concept of "your own body" can blur a bit.
That was the cause of a lot of the plot in Heavens Lost Property.

Anyway, I don't utilize or talk about it a lot, but I do have a small number of "pseudo-companions" who are nothing but OC personalities I made up using AI science bullshit, that I upload into robot bodies or systems whenever I want.
And I keep a couple backup brain scans of friends in case of catastrophic brain failure. You know, like a sortof... "save point"?

It just requires a somewhat flexible definition of what constitutes your companions' "self".

>>52486066
Well, there's being a Valkyrie from Valkyrie Profile, though that's limited to the dead.

If you're willing to throw a little technology at the problem to make it work, head to Invader Zim and grab a PAK from your nearest Irken. Among it's many features, it includes a mind and personality scanner/back-up system for in case the Invader gets mind wiped in some way. So just fiddle around with it until it can accept non-Irken bioscans without going nutty, plug it into someone's nervous system to get a copy, then toss it at a new body.

The only downside is that soul transfer may or may not be guaranteed. Invader Zim does have a ton of dark magic and necromancy stuff floating around though. Might be able to toss some into the mix to get what you want.

> Creating clones or robots will inevitably result in a seperate being
Well, in those cases, generally the clone or robot body has no memories of the original, and the remerging process would usually destroy them.
But there's no reason to do either of those, when you get down to it. Like, the clone body would obviously start with all their memories, so for all intents and purposes they think they're real.
Actually, it'd be closer to say that it's the original who will actually be changed by the newly added memories. Unless they were really blase about it, I dunno. But that seems like a personality quirk that would effect the clone as well, like, where they'd just be like "pshh, it doesn't matter if I die. My consciousness will just get uploaded back into the original!", or something.
Which would be weird, but kindof not too different from the jumpers who have companions who are really blase about their deaths because of respawn mechanics.

But, if the clone/robot really didn't want to be reintegrated, well, if you're doing it RIGHT data isn't destroyed in a copy/paste, so you can just brainscan them, give the memories to the original, and then tell the clonebody they're free to go do... whatever.
Unless they're just adamant about not letting you copy their memories, despite presumably being okay with it when their original stepped out of the damn companion slot.
But that's more like being a dick.

But anyway, it was just a suggestion.

I'd guess probably not. Incarnae are pretty bullshit, far moreso than the gods are in most greek myths... Maybe in the most ridiculous myths?

The King Is Dead isn't that great anyway. It lets you inherit their domain (which doesn't inherently do anything), gives you their panoply (which you could usually just take anyway), raises your essence to whatever theirs was if yours is lower, and adjusts your charms to fit the new domain.

An exalt would usually also lose their exaltation and become a spirit, but I think InNomine said that wouldn't happen through fiat?

The only thing I can think of is "Above the Influence" in Kamen Rider Neo-Heisei Part 1. It gives you the strength of will to use 'addictive' magical effects without adverse effects to your mind. You'll still suffer from any physical drawbacks to using the magic, just not the mental ones.

To give an example, it allows you to use Zodiart Switches or Core Medals without being corrupted by their use and keeping your own mind. Normally using a Zodiart Switch causes the person's personality to twist into a darker version of itself and Core Medals cause a rapid increase in the user's Desire (normally a negative desire, like gluttony or greed).

>>52486520

>>
>>52486775
People here don't consider SoAnon as a person, so it's not like her opinion counts for anything.
>>
>>52486755
You'll note I never disputed that.

But it's circumstantially handy if you need a new Sun to replace the dead one, and you want it to be this specific guy replacing them, and their superiors agree with you, and you need it fast instead of waiting for them to grow into it (because gods can literally just be promoted into new domains in Exalted, it just takes a long time for them to grow into it), and you don't mind tearing Fate a new one (which'll fuck your fate-manipulation up for a little while), and you don't mind getting hit by Paradox...

So yeah, it's a really niche effect that's not going to be useful most of the time.

Might help you raise your essence quickly though, if you don't mind your charms adjusting to whatever domain you get.

Ridiculous, isn't it. Most of us here have already read SoAnon's jumps, are we supposed to just forget them. Obviously stupid. Also, accepting the idea puts an unfair burden on Brutus, where he has to filter everything to prevent someone slipping one of the jumps back in the drive.

Intellectual property can't be demanded back like a tangible physical object and demanding the impossible is stupid.

SoAnon isn't an idiot, but has a history, so i've heard, of making unreasonable demands like this and seeing what she can get away with. And this is just too far.

Brutus doesn't have any burden on him to do anything at all, since people are content to give other people shit for using the jump, they're not petitioning to remove it or anything. The only time there have been issues is when people insist on arguing over whether the jumps should exist or not, which is largely a moot point.

Give people enough shit for using the jumps and they won't talk about them anymore, plain and simple. It's far more effective than trying to get the jumps removed, and as long as it doesn't affect any of the namefags, they generally won't bother touching that mess with a ten foot pole.

How is that anything new? This has always been the case, just that the targets shifted every now and then. It's been done to plenty of SB jumpmakers in the past, and even recently. This is just people switching targets again. They aimed for Dirge a little while back, now they're bringing up somebody a bit more recent. Eventually they'll switch targets again.

You officially hit grade school maturity several hundred threads back. Don't delude yourself.

Journal Entry # 12000

Wow… this seems to be a pretty normal world all and all. Well it’s strange being in middle school again but I am glad to have my wives with me. It seems Tamamo is adapting very well to this new world. Maybe it’s good she has a chance to experience a more normal life.

Journal Entry # 12015

Ughh so I managed to stop Tamamo from Cursing the girls who pissed her off. Thankfully it seems she just stuck to minor embarrassing curses. Though now there is talk of a ghost in our classroom because of it. I hear some kids are even daring each other to stay in the school at night.

Journal Entry # 12027

Wow I heard some girl a year ahead of me has already published a Novel that’s being turned in to an Anime. I had tokyed with getting us together as a band but I really think I should. I am sure we can do well I just have to find an interment and train Tamamo.

Journal Entry # 12030

Wow, we played a few places and… well people are offering us contracts and tours… I guess I shouldn’t be surprised but it just hit so quickly… unfortunately now we have to deal with prying managers, paparazzi and such. Ah well hopefully my companions will enjoy a bit of the limelight

Here's a quote.

>Ridiculous, isn't it. Most of us here have already read SoAnon's jumps, are we supposed to just forget them. Obviously stupid.
The request wasn't for you to forget them. It was for them to be removed from the drive. How does that delete them from your memory? Your own computer? Your build? That's what I'm asking you. How does it actually impact you as an individual?
>>
>>52487619
I refuse to believe anyone on this thread is that much of an idiot. He's just pretending to be, 'cause he thinks he can get some kind of advantage from it.
Which is... pretty dumb on it's own.
Oh, that reminds me of that comedy film where Johnny Knoxville (sp?) pretends to be disabled to enter the Special Olypmics. Never watched it, the premise was too stupid for words, but I am reminded nonetheless.
>>
>>52487393
Why should I worry when I have the power of a number of gods, nigh unlimited clones, the ability to mass produce droid workers(and clone workers), and a number of group companions to take on jobs.
>>
>>52487648
Read the whole post, anon. It's not that hard. Just a few lines further down, you can do it, champ.

Also, why the hell do you care so badly about this? Are you SoAnon come again? Are you a jumpmaker concerned that you can't do the same thing SoAnon failed to do? Why does this matter so much to you that you are arguing over it with a complete stranger that even if you could convine doesn't have any more power to change things than what you do?
>>
>>52487702
The same reason why anyone argues for anything jumpmaking related, because they think their opinion matters. At the end of the day Brutus has already laid out the law as far as the jumps on the drive. Some people refuse to accept that, but it is what it is.
>>
Are there any other rituals similar to the Darkhallow out there?
>>
>>52487702
Your whole post is presenting arguments I consider irrelevant.

You're so obsessed with getting every one of your ideas addressed? Let's do that then, to appease your autism.

>Also, accepting the idea puts an unfair burden on Brutus
Deleting something from a gdrive folder is easier than you think.
>where he has to filter everything to prevent someone slipping one of the jumps back in the drive.
He has to curate everything in uploads regardless to make sure we know what it is.
>And even if it was removed how long would it be until someone shared it anyway.
Since the request was only to remove it from the drive, this is irrelevant.
>Intellectual property can't be demanded back like a tangible physical object and demanding the impossible is stupid.
You don't understand intellectual property, but to cut it down to point, only a specific upload of it was asked to be taken down. Not everywhere it's spread to.
>SoAnon isn't an idiot, but has a history, so i've heard, of making unreasonable demands like this and seeing what she can get away with. And this is just too far.
Irrelevant character attack.
>There are other reasons I'm sure but unlike you, I don't care terribly much about this reenactment of a month-old farce, as such I refuse to talk any more about this. I am halfways certain I couldn't convince you in anycase as it's pretty clear you've already made up your mind.
Non-arguments.
>Maybe I'm judging you too harshily, but this is beginning to seems like shitposting.
Personal attacks.

There, I replied to your ENTIRE post because you insisted on it. Happy, little guy?

>>52487744
No, I think the jumpmaker's opinion matters.

Similiar in Dresden Files, not familiar enough to say.
There are rituals in homebrew for d&d settings which might count, but I'd need more information as to what your looking for.

Well, fuck you. I have family that's autistic and I find remarks like that as welcome as someone wishing me to have Cancer.
You can go straight to hell.
>>
>>52487784
You're free to your opinions, but the person who owns the drive is Brutus. If you want you can go and make your own drive like Dirge did, but you'll be ignored and considered a shitposter just as he is. On top of this SoAnon is gone, so there is no opinion left to consider either way.

Sure, I've been doing that myself. Okay, start with a Jurai Tree from Tenchi Muyo. You can get one by taking the perk "Smiling Goddess Leaves". They're sapient, which means they count as companions and can be imported to gain perks. So take them to The Gamer and DC Occult to gain the perks Tree of Life and Avatar of the Green, respectively. So now you've got this magical tree-spirit that can grow to ridiculous sizes, channel tons of magic, manifest any feature possible for plant, and exist simultaneously in multiple places. It's also a spaceship due to its ability to create powerful forcefields for protection from the void and to propel itself. It can even go faster than light. And since it's a ship, you could arguably import it as an ACU in Supreme Commander to make it even bigger.

Because he's blowing the problem out of proportion. The only person that was ever really getting attacked was Red. SoAnon made a jackass decision and committed to it, people just ended up ignoring her. Dirge shit on everyone else and justified all of the hatred directed against him when he went against the rules. Anon doesn't see it that way, so he thinks that people are being unfair to them. Realistically neither SoAnon or Dirge contributed anything significant, so neither of them warrant special treatment.

I agree with all you said right up until:
>>52487906
>Dirge contributed anything significant
Am I getting names mixed up, I thought he was the one who made those sweet epic-length jumps? Like Blame! and Knights of Sidonia.

Also I've heard that something happened with Dirge (whether or not it's the same guy I was thinking) but there was so much shitposting I was reluctant to ask what happened incase things blew up even further.

>>52487938
In all honesty, wildly unrealisitic.
It's an epic spell, albiet expensive that gives godhood. At very least the thread wouldn't accept it.

Of course post-chain/spark it may be a valid way to get godhood from the D&D settings without kiling an existing god.
>>
>>52487821
How does someone as childishly sensitive as you function on 4chan?
>>
>>52487844
>I don't see where your coming from.
SoAnon said she hated the thread for allowing lewd and wanted her jumps pulled. It's a spiteful action on the thread's part to insist on keeping them anyway.
>>
>>52487876
It's a pretty great combo. I've also realized that it solves those "enemy that scale to your strength" drawbacks quite nicely, because as an Avatar of the Green my treeship can project force pretty much anywhere plants can theoretically exist. Given how loyal to me she is, and the empathic bond we have, it effectively adds her powers to mine without it actually counting as my own abilities. Just invoke the power of the world tree from wherever she is to where I need it. I've got a similar thing going on with Kamidachi, having my incredible super-sword count as a companion instead of a piece of equipment goes a long way towards keeping it from being copied by evil alternate-style drawbacks like JUMPER in Fate/Stay Night.

>>52487911
Well, it wouldn't be the first time they've encountered some baffling alien space-god. But yeah, the aesthetics of this magic flying tree sailing through the void are one of the big reasons I made the combo in the first place.
>>
>>52487999
To be fair, this thread is tame as fuck compared to the rest of 4-Chan, even more so than /tg/.

>>
>>52487958
No, I'm implying that you had to stoop so low as to manufacture a strawman because the evidence wasn't in your favor.
>>
>>52487982
Not that guy, but what's even so great about being a D&D god? As I understand it, they need a ton of worshippers to even survive, they lack the ability to directly intervene with their powers in the normal plane, and they occasionally get thanked by normal humans who take their power.
>>
>>52487982
Just because a jump is big doesn't mean it's significant anon. For all the jumps he's supposedly made most people probably remember maybe four or five, so really, he's no different from any other jumpmaker.

Dirge decided to say fuck you to the rules and went off with his own drive to SB. Apparently he blew up at Red on the IRC and tried to get her to leave, so let's just say there's no good sentiments anywhere to be found for him here. Nowadays you have people committed to turning him into the shitposting poster child, so anything he makes over on his own drive is considered shit tier, and you can't bring it up without people pointing out that it's shit. By the same token you get folks who are now not as shy about pointing out all of his flaws now that he's gone, so the shitposting that surrounds him is reinforced by people shitting on him directly because apparently Dirge harassed a lot of people on IRC publicly and privately.
>>
>>52488045
Sure. But in reality the Dempsey Roll is a move of only situational usefulness. It's pretty easy to escape from if the opponent sees it coming, you need to be fast and clever to actually land it.

>oh boy power levels

excusing pic related being my immediate reaction, most of the relevant characters are personal scale. Mages and similar casters can get to city-wrecking levels but it's similar to SMT / D&D in a way god kill me now I'm sorry SMTAnon for making that relation that a guy with a sword can kill the city-wrecker mage. Specific rituals can make the city-wrecking spells stronger but those also take time.

tl;dr if you want cosmic power, try somewhere else.
>>
>>52488087
Why do you always want to take every argument over a jumpmaker back to dirge?
>>
>>52488053
Nothing significant, which is exactly the same as both of them.

>>52488083
Except there's no strawman there. The facts were very clear about things whether it comes to SoAnon or Dirge, unless you're the Red shitposter trying to say she deserved the harassment she got.
>>
>>52488012
I was actually there when it happened.

A guy came and proposed a Towergirls jump and was a little hardheaded to start off with in acccepting that that would not be kosher but was trying to argue that he could sanitise it to be acceptable, then SoAnon, right when we were convincing the guy to let it go (he ultimately is making a generic jump), decided to burst in like a diva and make a dramatic proclimation that there was such lewd and she was gone and wanted her jumps pulled.
Justicenanon tried to talk to her, even close to begged her to calm down and talk in IRC and she refused.

Basically she blew something completely out of proportion and acted like a diva, and I can't help but feel that she did that deliberately knowing in advance that she was leaving and wanted her jumps pulled, but knew that it wouldn't happen, but believeing that it was still possible if she could guilt-trip us enough, and decided to be very dramatic about it to increase her chances.
Unsuccessfully, as we know.
I thought I was being unfair, but I shared my thoughts on the thread and multiple people confirmed that it was in character for her.

>>52487999
Shit doesn't get attention, anon. When you see a steaming pile you walk away. That guy just left a big sign on his argument making it clear he wasn't worth talking to, that he was talking shit, so walking away was a perfectly valid action.

Is it sensitive not to waste you time talking to someone like that, if so, I plead guilty. Somehow I think I can live with that.

I don't really care if you agree with her anti-lewd position or not. It's irrelevant. That's not what we're even talking about. The only part that concerns me is that she wanted her jumps removed, and that was refused by the thread's spite. Her motivation is irrelevant.

Mostly? Alter Reality. Gods get other cool powers, too, but it's the strongest of them. It's a divine power that even Divine Rank 1 unlocks, though since a god of higher Divine Rank can counter your use you still want to have one as high as possible. Alter Reality is awesome, it lets you cast any non-epic spell with any metamagic feats you want added on just by thinking about it with no costs. It also has an effect similar to Infinity from the Seven Deadly Sins jump, but it can make any supernatural effect permanent, not just the ones you cast. Someone buffs you? It's there forever now.

There are some other good ones, too. I like Annihilating Strike, it changes an attack from doing damage to inflicting a saving throw with a DC equal to the damage you would have done to avoid spontaneously ceasing to exist. Cool stuff. But Alter Reality is still where it's really at. Here, have a list of divine abilities. http://www.d20srd.org/indexes/divineAbilitiesFeats.htm
>>
>>52488170

>Just because a jump is big doesn't mean it's significant anon. For all the jumps he's supposedly made most people probably remember maybe four or five, so really, he's no different from any other jumpmaker.
You do realise that most jumpmakers have made far less jumps than that, right?
You’re making some very arbitrary standard for what is 'significant' here. Can you tell me what standard you are actually using? What does a jumpmaker need to do to make a significant contribution? How many jumps does it take? How long do they need to be?

>with his own drive
Hasn't he had his own drive for quite some time with no one being particularly bothered? Why is it an issue now? Any connection to SB is news to me, can you tell me more?

>he blew up at Red
I don't know the full details of what went on, but Red apologised to Dirge in a way that made it quite clear she saw herself as substantially culpable. The apology was accepted and there didn't seem to be any hurt feelings or ill-will, as far as I could see.

>Dirge harassed a lot of people on IRC publicly and privately.
This is also the first I've heard of this, could you tell me more?

I may have turned it into an overly complicated taijutsu technique in Naruto:
>Pop the chakra enhancement, seven out of eight gates, and the lightning release chakra mode
>Use a minor genjutsu that manipulates the targets spatial awareness, depth perception, and makes the jet noises
>Manipulate the air currents with previously acquired aerokinesis so there's no friction in front of my fists
>Start whaling on their face
>Finish with a shoryuken for good measure

>unsubstantiated character attacks
You should probably take off your fanboy glasses and actually look at what he did objectively, because nothing I've said is unsubstantiated, and there are plenty of folks on IRC who could vouch for it. It's not like there was nobody there when he told Red off in IRC over SB ranting about his jumps. It also wasn't the first time he's been a jackass to people on IRC, especially when it came to shilling his jumps. The fact is that he left to SB. It's also fact that he uses his own drive exclusively, to the point that some of the jumps on our drive are now outdated.

That damn panda will procreate too.(Even if I have to mind control the blasted thing). Some clones of it with altered genes to broaden the panda gene pool will also be created. All habitats will be warded against intruders. Instead of a new dimension, I'll reaccess the one I created for Harry Potter that was effectively an 80000 square mile magical creature preserve in order to more easily access magical creatures for the zoo. I'll need to conquer the latest netherworld isle. Between the shopping options for purchasing animals for exhibition and my genetics accumen, it should be no trouble to put together the greatest zoo/wild animal park ever.

mentions some of the real goodies, but there are also some others that deserve mention.
You know when spellcasters get really powerful and need spell slots of 10th level or higher and have to buy them one at a time as a feat. God don't have to do that, if they buy the right Divine Salient Ability.

Also the issue about needing worshippers varys depedning on time and setting. In Faerun there was no original need for worshippers for the Gods to exist, but the overdiety, Ao wasn't terribly impressed with how they did their jobs and changed things so that they need worshippers just to live. So it isn't intrinsic to d&d godhood.

I think they also get crap loads of spell-like abilities from domains relevant to their portfolios. They also have divine salient abilities (feats for gods) that allow you to make artifacts.

You're talking about a setting which is known for the Gravitational Beam Emitter, which is a popular handgun for Jumpers because of its "fuck everything I'm pointing this at" power.

This is a weapon found in the hands of the Safeguard, and possibly a few others, who are likely going to be your enemies. It punches for kilometers through walls that can withstand nukes and hold up a megastructure.

>You do realise that most jumpmakers have made far less jumps than that, right?
The number of jumps made doesn't make a jumpmaker influential or substantial.

>You’re making some very arbitrary standard for what is 'significant' here. Can you tell me what standard you are actually using? What does a jumpmaker need to do to make a significant contribution? How many jumps does it take? How long do they need to be?
I gauge how substantial a jump is based on how influential it is on builds. If a jump isn't crucial, then even if it was hundreds of pages long, it doesn't hold much substance. This isn't a matter of length or number, it's a matter of importance. Even if he made a hundred jumps, it wouldn't make a difference if they're all so obscure that they have no significance.

>Hasn't he had his own drive for quite some time with no one being particularly bothered? Why is it an issue now? Any connection to SB is news to me, can you tell me more?
It's an issue for some people because they see it as him not playing nice with Brutus's drive since he stopped uploading jumps to that drive a long ways back.

>I don't know the full details of what went on, but Red apologised to Dirge in a way that made it quite clear she saw herself as substantially culpable. The apology was accepted and there didn't seem to be any hurt feelings or ill-will, as far as I could see.
Red's apology didn't matter much because she has a habit of putting herself to blame for everything, when Dirge had already come out and said that he shit on her. If anything it was just another regular day for Red.

>This is also the first I've heard of this, could you tell me more?
OAA came out a while back and mentioned how Dirge continually harassed him for an indefinite period of time because OAA dropped Air Gear, then afterwards some anons pointed out that he shit on Wild Card too. It's something you'd probably want to ask OAA directly. It's pretty heavy drama shit.

>>
>>52488213
>Any connection to SB is news to me, can you tell me more?
After Dirge left and set up shop in SB, he made it somewhat explicit that this place wasn't conductive to his jumpmaking, which, for the very few people who knows his jumpmaking process, makes complete sense. Dirge isn't like Digger or Heavens, who continually teases perks and tries to build up hype. Throughout his time making thirty or forty jumps, he's never bothered teasing anything and in fact seems to hate when people shill his jumps or toss others to them. Think during one of the last dumps he did, people here told him to fuck off and stop dumping jumps, because he attributed the jumps to specific namefags.

And well, he did exactly that. He packed up shop and left for SB after the fuss on IRC.

Some people, mainly IRC folks from what I can tell, took offence to that because they saw it as a personal affront onto their opinions. Now there are folks who see it as a prime shitposting opportunity, because technically Dirge's drive isn't valid by the rules standards, but because the quality and presentation of his jumps is often higher than jumpmakers here, it's in this nebulous grey zone where people would rather forget their existence entirely so they don't have to consider why the jumps are invalid, and just stick to not discussing them. The SB connection just makes things simpler, if they link Dirge to SB they can brush everything off as "go to SB to discuss those jumps, not here".
>>

>I am sorry, maybe I still not understanding, but it sounds like you rate it significant based on your own subjective opinion. I am misunderstanding you?
I do rate significance based on opinion, but I think that's what everybody does at the end of the day. To me, anyone can make jumps that are massive, or pump out dozens of jumps. But it takes something truly special to have a jump that everyone knows and loves.
.
>So this is when he 'shit on the rules' but no-one actually did anything to stop him or seriously complain about it until recently? And what is te SB connection to his drive? I had thought SB had their own seperate drive?
People have always complained about his drive, but they did it in a really passive aggressive way, like by ignoring their existence, or complaining about Dirge only showing the early WIPs of his jumps to specific people. When other people were taking Dirge's jumps and uploading them to Brutus' drive no one had any problems with it. Afterwards Dirge tried to delete them because people were taking outdated versions, and some folks had a freak out. I explained the SB thing in the other post.

>>Red's apology didn't matter much because she has a habit of putting herself to blame for everything
>Oh, do I know that feeling well. But still the hatchet was buried, right? Why is it still an issue?
It's not so much an issue as it was just the origin, and since Dirge has left the IRC and this side of the community permanently, it's not likely to ever be an issue. You get a couple folks here that have tried their best to make things inhospitable for him, perhaps in an effort to make sure he stops making jumps for our drive permanently.

>Was this all on IRC? Also, could you be a dear and tell me who OAA is? Presumably he a jumpmaker, if so can you tell me of one of the jumps he made, please? i am already familiar with Wild Card.

Some safeguards and other things can tank the GBE, well they make a shield that deflects the thing, and a large number of safeguards have a GBE. The Safeguards can form from the walls when they decide to fuck with you, faster than it is possible for the main character(also a safeguard technically) to draw his gun, and can apparently do so in an unlimited fashion. Also Safeguard vs say Reapers from mass effect, human sized safeguard is the safe bet, really safe bet.
>>
>>52488879
How well do you actually know Blame!, because the Safeguard don't exhibit that behavior at all, what you're describing sounds more like Silicon Life instead.

It's a known fact that the Safeguard hold on the City is tenuous at best, and there are entire sectors where the Megastructure has been completely claimed by the Silicon Life. If the anon had enough setting knowledge realistically the Safeguards aren't much of a threat.
>>
>>52488800
The Safeguard attack anyone who go near the megastructure, don't try to stay near it for an extended period unless you're confident you can take on all of them.

Since that is something you would have to do to get the necessary understanding of the megastructure to build your own this is not an advisable plan. Unless of course you are capable of doing your research while under constant attack from something way worse than anything 40k has to offer.

>>
>>52488922
>can apparently do so in an unlimited fashion
This isn't true either. Safeguards have a local reality manipulation property due to the nature of the City, and the fact that the Builders appear to routinely set up control towers which is what allowed the Safeguards to deploy seemingly at will in the first place. If a Reaper was stuck in the City they'd be dead in no time flat, but a Safeguard stuck in the Mass Effect universe would only have maybe a massive in built GBE to rely on. Most of its reality reshaping powers would be at least severely reduced.

He's probably referring to a very obscure point show briefly in one specific arc. When the City was busy expanding, Toha Heavy Industries got enveloped inside the expansion process. Toha Heavy Industries has about twelve Gravity Well Engines or so, which basically creates a null zone, allowing the Industries folks to operate without being fucked by the Safeguard. Over time this got fucked over, and by the time Blame!'s core story happens, TOHA has fallen to internal discord.

When they get pinned in a tight spot, TOHA does the only sane thing that one of the core AI thinks of, they literally warp themselves into a different dimension, universe, space, or whatever. The process destabilizes the local space entirely and sacrifices most of the nearby facilities, probably several hundred thousand km, but otherwise saves the last known human.

It's probably a minor correction, but I consider them significant when I see the jumps show up regularly on the thread and in builds. Actually no, the ai comes to get help from the mc to reset the gravity furnaces. Because the gravity furnaces have gotten out of sync they have literally created alternate realities, one where the silicon life is much further along than normal, one where his girl friend who keeps showing up is a normal human with supertech suits, and there are ghosty versions of that same girl around every once in a while. He ends up using a bigger GBE with a boosted power supply to shoot the gravity furnace thereby restarting it which collapses the other realities that were being created due to the instabilities in the gravity furnaces.

The only time the horde behavior is demonstrated is during the initial passage out of Cibo's city into the upper layers, and even then Cibo has methods of concealing herself from the Safeguard. The Safeguard are much more willing to just send in lone Destroyers than they are to send in hordes. Even for something as important as the PAF, they only dropped in two agents and proceeded to lose control of the situation entirely. They definitely aren't the ultra threat that people make them out to be.

>because even the city itself in blame does not have a functioning system to access how it works.
You mean the people don't, because the infrastructure is all there, it's only that the people don't have the software to access it. Arguably the jump solved that problem, but that's a different issue altogether.

I saw what you did that day in the bathroom motherfucker.

You'd think that, but it's all pointless anyway.

Get the First magic in Fate, the notes mention that you can just flat out MAKE a dog after you have enough practice.

In spin off set after the "egg" has "hatched" and the city is brought to some semblance of order it is shown what happens when anyone goes near a tower without some means of hiding from the safeguard. Well he did have a way of hiding since it is his job to deal with the remaining towers but then someone else showed up.

Beelzebub. I don't know the setting, but the spelling plus the timing is funny.

Are there any time stop abilities in the chain which allow you to interact with objects in the stopped time? Like, move them around and such?

NSE makes it very apparent that the egg only solved one problem, that being the Builders, but not many of the others, such as the attitude of the Silicon Life and the Safeguard, as well as the grossly inverted space to population ratio. What they have realistically isn't any semblance of order, but because the scale is so massive and the perspective is so small we're led to believe that things are getting better. The fact that a NSE was necessary in the first place is an indication of how fucked up things still were.

loads, madoka and madoka wraith timeline both come immediately to mind.

It's a possible thing the safeguards can do anon. When you are talking about what a group can do you don't grab the location and way in which they are at their weakest. Sure even their guns don't work in some places and they have no ability to act in them, and there are entire civilizations that they would likely wipe out if they could but can't even detect despite those civilizations being inside areas they can act, but it is entirely possible to get suddenly safeguards, thousands of them, if you fuck up.
>>
>>52489368
True, but it does show how the safeguard respond to anything. Some form of overwhelming force either through numbers, firepower, fuck huge abominations, or some combination of the three.

>Where's my puppy fucker?
This is why commas matter.
>>
>>52489381
Does the tohou timestop let you do that?
>>
>>52489387
If the problem at hand is considering how to study the Megastructure, then it comes off as equally disingenuous to only focus on the Safeguard countermeasure because it only focuses on a single aspect of the problem, essentially portraying the problem as a single case when it isn't. You're basically going the reverse direction and implying that the Safeguard should always be at their strongest, or essentially in horde mode. If we take accept this premise then the jump is horribly designed, because it doesn't make this death trap apparent.

The canon user uses it to pick up all the dozens of knives she's thrown and tidy up around a huge mansion. Most likely, yes.

So I guess you have a point.

Your joke doesn't work because the word you're looking for is coma. One m.

I just want to say that I think all the capstones, apart from the Bloodsucker one, go too far and are way beyond the powerlevel of the rest of the jump.
>>
Is it silly that I want to go into Fate/ as the Assassin Class Servant and start tossing around so much OCP that people stop disrespecting the class? Because holy shit does that class always get punked first and so very hard.
>>
>>52490202

Probably because, as a rule, Assassins aren't made for anything but sneaking and killing enemy masters and they never get used for that.
>>
>>52490121
Fair enough; can I ask what issues you have with the Human and Bee capstones?

For the Drop In capstone, I originally had it as either a .1% or .01% boost per instance of the word "Jumper" being said; would changing it back to one of those be better?

I feel like the Bee capstone is fine, since it's essentially just insane popularity with bees+world wide communication with Bees; I could lower the effects in the case of sapient bees however.

As for Bloom, I feel like the drawback of needing pollen to restore dead areas and having to spread it manually is good enough, but I can lower the area of effect if that's needed.
>>
>>52490121
Doesn't that just mean that Bloodsucker should be buffed?
