Infinity is a 28mm scale futuristic skirmish game by Corvus Belli where players can really relate to the playing pieces.

Serious Talk.
Where do I get that cute piggy?
>>

Yu Jing HVT model.
Funny, up until now everyone hated the piggy.
>>
>>52428875
>Funny, up until now everyone hated the piggy.
This is bullshit and you know it, piggu was always the star of the model
>>
>>52428875
>Funny, up until now everyone hated the piggy.
I dislike it myself but that's completely untrue. People love that pig.
>>
I hope fat yuan yuan has him plus those takeout boxes... instant best HVT.
>>
>>52428875
only a jew or a muslim could hate on the mighty porker, No pig=no surive winter =>pig=life.
>>
>>52428974
>>52429115

Then why so many people paint the HVT without the piggy? Even Robot-Jones did that.
I remember when it first came out people were expressing disgust at the little porker.

Newer player here. Can someone sum up Extremely Impeteous and Impeteous for me?

I've checked the wiki but I'm not sure I understand it . For example;

I have 3 Monks and one JSA Biker. The Monks have Extreme Imp. and the Biker has Imp.

Let's say I want to cancel ALL of those Imp. orders. Do I understand this correctly?

I can cancel ONE Extreme Imp. Order with an Order from my Order pool. This is limited to ONE cancellation, all other Extreme Imp. Orders must go off.

I can cancel all of my regular Imp. Orders by spending their Regular Order and canceling.
>>
>>52429612
There is no limit to how many extreme impetuous orders you can cancel each turn

Regular impetuous orders don't need to be cancelled out with another order, you can just decide not to use them
>>
>>52429612
Impetuous can be negated without spending an order from your pool. You still have the drawbacks, such as not benefiting from cover, but you don't have to actually charge.

Extremely impetuous, though, you have to spend an order to cancel it. That's for each seperate unit that has EI.
>>
>>52429588
there is a lot of muslims and jews still alive. And as table top games are high price products and both muslims and jews sleep on gold, there seems to be a big part of people playing table top games.
>>
>>52429653
>>52429932

Ok! And I understand that only REGULAR orders can cancel out Extreme Imp. right? For example, a Yu Jing Monk cannot cancel his own Extreme Imp. as his order is Irregular, which means he must utilize someones order to cancel that move.

That's strange, as I see everyone trash on the bikers (Or it seems) due to their Imp. State and "They will get shot". If you can just say nah, I don't want to use their Imp.--not sure why everyone is so down on them?
>>
>>52430261
They still can't take cover while regular impetuous, so they can never get that -3 cover mod. Aragotos are better in this regard because they have mimetism to counteract this, so they're more survivable. Bikes also have large silhouette values, so it's very easy for them to get spotted by multiple models while moving around.

And yes, you need to spend regular orders to cancel extremely impetuous.
>>
>>52430261
Mostly it's because they're big and can't benefit from cover. And also because most people seem to have no idea how to use bikes. Aragoto are there to efficiently take advantage of a hole in enemy defences and either flank fuckers with a spitfire/shotgun or take objectives. If they are out in the open at the end of your turn then you've fucked up.
>>
>>52428615
>Why? Unidrons can link no problem. And Dakinis are worse than those.
I really doubt that Dakini are a worse link than Unidrons, Mimetism and 6-4 movement are huge on 13-21pts models and widely compensate the lower ARM. The Unidrons seem stronger in the weapons department, plasma weaponry hurts and they have some more choices but Dakinis' HMG and MSR are some of the best weapons you couild possibly put in a core team.

Also it's not only me, Bostria himself said that Dakini fireteams proved to be exceedingly strong and they're trying to find some way to balance them.
>>
>>52427674

Do you think ARO burst buffs to Remotes can stack with Link burst buffs?

Because if so, will we finally get the first burst 3 in reaction Multi Sniper?
>>
>>52430710
Negative. The increased burst from the supportware does not stack with fire teams.
>>
>>52430710
No. This was clarified before the Unidrons team came out, because it would be insane otherwise.
>>
>>52430303
>>52430364

I was considering using them just to hunt cheerleaders (Well, one hacker I think).

I've been using my Rapid Response Su Jian like that and it's been pretty good. Seems like it might be even better with a 19 point 8-6 Boarding Shotgun. Seems ok--guess I'll see!
>>
>>52430567
Mimetism, the HMG option and the extra MOV are great, but imo dogged with 2 unconscious levels, incredible hacking defence (though I expect Dakinis will get this to some extent, probably a tinbot B) and the general superiority of Unidron equipment gives them the edge. Then again, Unidron links don't share sectorial with some of the most broken undercosted units in the game, so maybe it balances out.
>>
Female Dog Warriors. Would they look the same as male Dog Warriors, or would they have hairy tits, no tits at all, or like 10-12 nipples like regular dogs?

Are there any female Dog warrior models around that I may have just not noticed. I don't play Ariadna, don't quite have access to the fluff, and when I do face Ariadna they never field the Dog Warriors so perhaps I wouldn't know. I think I do recall some female Wulvers but that isn't the same.
>>
>>52428875
What are you smoking, the pig was popular af.

>>52429588
It's a good tinbot proxy.
>>
Increased AVA for posthumans in the OSS plus linksble Dakinis... how can anyone compete?
>>
>>52431273
there are female wulvars.
>>
>>52431431
I wouldn't expect increased AVA for posthumans. Lots of sectorial units don't see an AVA increase compared to Vanilla, off the top of my head Ghazi and Ninjas don't.
>>
so what is this like 40k for weebs
>>
>>52431579
Ninjas do actually. You can take 4 of them in JSA if you want to go crazy, along with 3 Oniwaban and then the two ninja characters. They have 2 AVA in vanilla Yu Jing, and then 1 AVA in ISS. They probably are like that in ISS since they do work with them, but their real 'home' sectorial is JSA.

How do people feel about ITS? I'm trying to home brew a system.
My cons for ITS
>Built in $16 CAD buy in with objective deck
>Curent classified objective mechanics can result in being dealt an objective you can't complete
>Many classifieds are unbalanced, Experimental Drug is much much easier than Sabotage.
>Natural 10 Objective point cap is stupid.
My plan to fix this is
>All classifieds are organised into charts based on the different specialists and are worth between 1 and 3 points depending on difficulty
>missions are divided into unique charts to allow new missions to be made every time.

But he's a cool faggot, like Ian McKellen.
>>
>>52433068
I mean I just print out the cards captain spud made and put them in sleeves. I was never tempted to use INTELCOM in the few missions that used it, and even then I usually agreed with my opponent to share their deck in a tournament.

There's also YAMS and 20x20 for my "homebrew" needs but I usually just stick to ITS missions because I think most of them are all right (main exceptions are Rescue and Biotechvore) and it's an easy standard to agree to.
>>
>>52433265
Intelecom is probably the least clear rule CB has written and I have never seen it. I also dislike how CB updates ITS during the season.
>>
>>52433173
I'm not involved in your gay furry shit so I wouldn't know.
>>
>>52428778
I like the Fat Yuan Yuan because he's Fat and likes Noodles from the food court of Luxury Malls like me.
>>
>>52431273

They would have a pair of boobs probably covered by a top. CB is all about T&A.
>>
>>52433068
As of now, every objective can be completed by every faction/sectorial. You do know you pick your list post classified draw right?

10 point cap there is to prevent games from having an outsized impact on tournaments. It also keeps the impetuous on players to try and deny opponents objectives.

Your chart idea may be fine in a single game, but it adds another level of complexity to the game, which can get really crazy in a multi match setting.
>>
What factions are best for ignoring Sectorial bonuses?
>>
>>52435297
What exactly do you mean by that? Countering fireteams?
>>
>>52435297
>Sectorial bonuses
Like spam (camo/infiltration/AD/orders) or fireteam bonuses?
>>
>>52435297
It's less so factions and more so tactics. Every faction has access to very similar tools, and can deal with fireteams in different ways (isolating/killing link leader, template weapons, powerful rambos to kill members one at a time, ect.)
>>
>>52434649
>Tohaa cannot possibly compleat Test Run because they have no units with Structure points.
>I realise its a small thing but technically you only draw 2 cards per objective, we house rule a redraw but that us
>in a tournament the missions would be generated you would just say "round one will consist of these main objectives and special rules" the tables are for pick up games
>>
>>52435600
>okay 'Kiss' and 'Scarface' do not count. every other faction have several frontline options with STR like remotes and TAG's. Tohaa do not
>>
>>52435600
Kaauri, Kiss, Scarface all have STR.
>>
>>52435654
> Kaauri have STR.

What the shit, how did I miss that.
>>
>>52433068
I don't get all the home brewing and tweaking. It's supposed to be a standard for a reason so that anyone can come and expect to play by the same rules. If you want to make a narrative campaign with all sorts of tweaks fine. But if it's a pick up game or a tournament it should be universal. Otherwise it just leads to the situation those poor Eastern European saps are in with limits on how many HI they can take.
>>
Neema is getting a resculpt
>>
>>52435813
It's easier to change the rules than to git gud
>>
Anyone have experience with limited insertion and/or tagline? I've been out of the meta for about a year (stopped a little after HSN3 but am familiar with the units) and was wondering how ITS changed as well as how the "lists to beat" look now. I play PanO/Neoterra and it seems that they've fallen more out of favor with Red veil pushing YJ/haqq, and tohaa doing surprisingly well. (and are TAGs still just as bad?)
>>
>>52436474
I played a limited Insertion event a couple of months ago by now. I think it was some 20 people.

Half the armies were either Yu Jing or Combined Army

Didn't see any Ariadna players but the rest was misc.

"pain trains" like Wu Ming, Haramaki, and Riot Grrrls were obviously popular, as well as Unidron links. Lots of people played "vanilla" as well.

>>52436509
I can never run heavy infantry links because my main opponent is Haqq and he owns Ghazi. Feels bad man. I know one of those 6 point shitters is going to get within E Marat range and turn half my army into trash.
>>
>>52436532
I mean, Riot Grrrls have Hyperdynamics to dodge those templates on 16's, while most everyone else that are fielding HI links dodge on respectable 14's, which is 70% (sometimes 65%) of the time before they even take BTS saves reducing usually a further half of that. The E/Marat should never be that much of a surprise against your link due to close range and predictable impetuous movement, especially if you use Sixth Sense to delay your reaction against them.

And the Reboot program (from EVO) can help in the Reset Roll against Jammers.

Plus stealth from Martial Arts can help maneuver around Jammers in range.

Also, Ghazi Muttawi'ah are 5/10 points. I don't know where you got six from but it seems like you are having a case of not knowing the game fully.

>>
>>52437175
Seems decent enough. I wouldn't worry too much about it.
>>
>>52435813
That is the main criticism I have gotten. I am in a very small community the largest tournament we have ever had was with 8 players. This system does not place any restrictions on lists and in fact frees players up to bring the lists they want instead of building a boring WAAC list
>>52436467
>go fuck your self kid, its called imagination try it.
>>
>>52437260
>>52437332

I just don't see having to make the choice between including a couple of units and not being able to complete a potential classified as that terrible. Everyone makes that choice, I make a lot of lists where I don't bring an engineer or a doctor. I certainly don't see the system as it is as WAAC at all, if anything the classifieds try to encourage you to bring a more rounded list.

I know for a long time Tohaa couldn't complete one classified which was unfair, but that got fixed, along with every other weakness your army had...

I don't see the reasons to make the changes you're offering, ITS works for the vast majority of players. Balancing a game with so much complexity and variety of interacting parts is really difficult. Is your meta really having problems, or are you attempting to fix something that's not actually broken?

But it's your game all the more power to you. I just hope in a few months we're not having to explain once again to a new player complaining about all these crazy house rules that aren't a part of the game.
>>
>>52437332
You already don't need to build a "boring WAAC list" to play ITS missions. Hell, just play direct action missions and ignore specialists and classifieds altogether if you want to, nobody is stopping you. I've done exactly that.

also,
>I rearranged the missions into charts
>I'm so imaginative!
If you want to show off how imaginative and creative you are, figure out how to win with restrictions. Or, do something like what the MWG dudes are doing and come up with creative challenges like the non-lethal attempt in their last battle report (which is entirely within ITS rules, by the way). Restrictions breed creativity. Coming up with homebrew rules so that you can keep jamming all your pet units into one list without thinking about it just leads to stagnation.
>>

I think your misinterpreting what I am saying, that guy was being an asshole. At the end of the day I wanted a slightly deeper 20X20. In all honesty, I expect it to fail miserably. People aren't interested in non-standard game play, the devotion to orthodoxy is why I quite 40K (because no one would agree to fix all the stupid broken shit) its just something I have been thinking about for a while

This holds even moreso in the wealthy and successful parts of the community that can afford to sponsor the creation of things that they enjoy. We all already understand that the alt-right is made up solely of low-status white males who are buttmad that women and minorities have a higher status than they do and the "town bicycle" bimbos that you all pitch in to support at the truck stops and strip clubs you frequent, but we don't need your incessant injection of "anti-SJW" rhetoric in every fucking thread all over the god-damned internet. Going back and looking at the infinity RPG, isn't it a bit ambitious to try to launch a completely new system with 16 or so 100+ page books? Fuck, retail that's 750 dollars of books, that's insane.
>>
>>52436474
I've played a bit of both and I found both to be refreshing (and I saw the way more experienced players acted it was even more refreshing for them).
TAGs are "just as bad" as before, but not the pilots can do more. And when most people don't play TAGs, they become unfamiliar with them and thus TAG tactics are fresh again.
LI is a strange beast, it forces more HI and MI into your list. Which also means your dudes don't die as much and you get more mileage out of them. Also makes the games slightly quicker. But you may want to use Spec-Ops for those, as it's harder to cover all roles.
All in all I found both fun.
>>
>>52441913
Presumably, you pick and choose the books you want. Although that's still a bitch to anyone who wants to gm.
>>
>>52441913
It is and they vastly underestimated the amount of work they would need to put into it, which is why they are so late. They based it off of their previous game, Mutant Chronicles IIRC. They were ready for a simple conversion job, but it turned out to be much more complex.
>>
>>52442184
But how feasible is it financially and balance-wise to make so many books simultaneously? It seems like a ton of information to consume as a new player/gm in a new system, even if you pick like 3 books or so.

Focusing more fluff presumably into the rpg books seems like a mistake too, I'd think more players would pay for more fluff oriented books rather than rpg expansions+fluff.

Do they even have a timeframe on all this stuff? it seems like they just got carried away with their kickstarter.

I actually can't remember any which is part of the issue. You'd think there might be a bunch of wild, amusing characters but there's just a bunch of "she's a Mobila Brigada. He's a TAG pilot. They are obviously erotically obsessed by the "ess jay dubya" crowd, going as far as fixating on the styles of eyeglasses that certain high-profile new-media celebrities choose to wear, but their tiny little dicks are too afraid of rejection to even get hard, so they instead emotionally armor up against their tiny dick fear. FYY was initiated by CB themselves as an April Fools joke that was spread across the entire community. Felix came from this general, and is unknown outside of it.
>>

>Do we know how much input the backers had for those?
Haven't seen any info on that but also haven't bothered to look. They're pretty formulaic and basic so I'd assume not a lot.

It's possible a backer lurks and might be willing to share.
>>
>>52442760
FYY stayed around through the power of memes, the only thing to do is fuel a memetic campaign to permeate Felix throughout the consciousness of the community.
>>
>>52441727
I realy wish I could go to strip clubs, sadly all that are in my city, which is one of the largest in my country, either are on 2ed floor or are on underground level 1-2, and you have to take stairs down. That and bimbos falling for dudes on wheel chairs. If that was true I would be less suicidial.
>>
>>52442781
The memes propagated because they got a good start. Felix didn't get that start, so it's unlikely his meme influence will ever get off the ground.

Yes. One of the strengths of 40k is that you can get into the lore without playing the game. Hopefully Infinity will go that way too.
Worked pretty well for Ankama and their MMO worlds with the cartoon.

>>52442671
The RPG and manga seem like they'll be a big help for that. Even what RPG stuff we have now does a lot to flesh out the setting.

I find that books are a bit underappreciated for that sort of thing though. They're cheap to make and are more able to focus on the less actiony side of things.

I know, no jokes. I dated one for about six months and she's still one of my favorite people. However, sex workers are not a monolithic group. It's more that the internet made it easy for echo chambers to exist, where the only exposure people have to conflicting opinions is either highly biased coverage or the most extreme shitheels on the opposite side (usually both). So idiots jump up and down and shout "look at those misogynistic evil racist conservatives/man-hating evil SJW liberals, they're taking away our freedom and being super hateful! This is what we're up against!" And so their friends and followers get scared and start becoming more extreme shitheels themselves in reaction to the perceived threat, thus the problem begins to compound upon itself.

Trying too hard to protect people's feelings is an issue, and probably related as people on both sides do their "virtue signalling" or whatever other horseshit, but it's not the only cause by any means.

Of course this is at best an incredibly simplistic look at an incredibly complicated problem that has countless other causes and effects, but I think it gets the basic point across.

Deciding how to get more votes is different to dealing with actual issues because it's a direct competition between team A and team B that first and foremost involves manipulating people. Voters were beginning to lean more towards extreme stances, so putting someone in whose best qualities were "she's not the other guy" and "she's pretty good at this politicking thing you people fucking hate" was a terrible idea, compared to Sanders who actually wanted to change things and gained some momentum.
Trump sure as hell wasn't a result of moderation though. The man is extreme as hell and enjoys reminding everyone of that as often as he can.

We could set up a nice discussion and possibly get somewhere by poking holes in each others' proposed solutions all day, but this isn't really the place for that. This is the tiny pretend war subsection of a mongolian cave painting enthusiast website.

Ok, so there seem to be several stereotypical "single-biome" planets. As I recall Paradiso's a "Jungle planet," Varuna is a "water planet," Svalarheima/Huang Di is an "ice planet," Bourak is a "desert planet," Mars is colonized so presumably another desert planet, Dawn seems to have a variety of forests and mountains we have space ships with the nomads so is there a "cloud planet" with floating colonies or a "lava planet/moon?"

Is lava basing the only unreasonable basing scheme for this setting?

Acontecimento is also a jungle planet. Mars is not very significant because most of the terraforming funding was cut when Haqq found Bourak. There are cloud planets, but they're also not very significant because floating cities are expensive compared to regular ground cities.
There could be a lava planet. It wouldn't be very significant either though, just a highly mechanised mining/research colony.

Earth, Neoterra, Yutang, Shentang, Acontecimento, Paradiso, Bourak, Svalarhuangdi, Varuna, Concilium and Dawn are the good planets humans can live on relatively comfortably. There are a bunch of other planets in every system that are shitty, and an entire star system (the Human Edge) with no good planets at all.

So how do we fix Miyamoto Mushashi? Seems like a tricky situation because he already has the highest CC and Martial Arts of the game, and is rather fast with movement 6-4, has NWI for added survivability, and a chain rifle to discount himself and balance the CC skills costs.

We can't give him FD or Infiltration as he's the kind of person known to be late to many duels, and forgetting to bring a sword even so such a rule would clash with his personality. I feel giving him smoke would just make him step on the toes of the other Japanese Mercenaries who do have smoke and similar CC skills. Would the solution really be that simple or is there something else making him problematically feeling "underwhelming" to most JSA players?

Does anyone else find it a little annoying how there are a ton of mercenary troops that end up being sectorial only troops? I'm sure it would effect game balance if they were all made more widely available, but it seems counter intuitive to the whole 'guns for hire' aspect. Stuff like the Anaconda are stuck in two (will she get taken away from Caledonia at the end of TAG line like Scarface from everyone else?) really niche sectorials, even though they're supposed to be a mercenary TAG company who hire out to whoever pays.

>>
>>52453744
Hmm ...

I'll tackle it.

>"samey" some units look

Mixed feelings on this one. On the one hand, at a glance a lot of units within a faction do look rather similar if you've never seen them before. I know for a fact I had trouble distinguishing between Morat with the various Suryats, Rodoks, Raktoraks, and Vanguard, but with some passing familiarity there are definite distinguishing details there. Once/if you start painting and playing with regularity the models really do start looking rather differently.

The similarities one sees is part of the style of the faction. For example, with Yu Jing Heavies all the legs and forearms look the same which helps tie them together and make them look modular, but of course they're wearing different shoulder pads, over armor accessories like Hakama and cloaks, so that none really look much the same. Overall I like how Corvus Belli does it, because when units look similar it is tied together by modularity and helps sell the unit as part of a greater faction. I like the Yuan Yuan for how you can see PanO armor and BS over Haqqislamite armor and backpack with some other details here and there that help it keep distinguished.

>disconnect between how the models look and what rules they have?

Very few instances of a disconnect in my opinion. My main ones are that the HMG on the O-Yoroi looks more like a spitfire than Yu Jing HMG's and that Naffatun look more heavily armored than grunts but instead grunts have heavier armor (I get that they have BTS 3 but it's not the same).

Usually the big and heavy guys do big and heavy things. The guys with more armor show more armor on their body. Small elite units have fitting looks to them.

One pose I don't like though is the Khawarij from Red Veil. Has Super Jump but is in one of the most relaxed poses ever while most AD units are landing on tactical rubble.

I was looking at the MO HI and got to thinking; what the hell is the point of the Sepulchre knights when they cost more than Joan or a Father Knight? Combi+DEP is nothing while Spitfires are just as common as combis. The holo can be okay for some mind games first turn or so but that seems pretty wasteful considering the cost. Im not even sure what would be a good change for this unit; unlike Teutons where giving them Dogged, or Haris with a Father Knight or something as super magisters, ideas are pretty easy to help Teutons not suck.
>>
>>52464349
Holoprojector lvl 2 isn't a "first turn mindgame" tool, it can win you otherwise heavily unfavoured FtF rolls.

Surprise shot can win you engagements and being able to move-move in front of an enemy without reprisal can be extremely helpful.
>>
>>52464482
I worded that sentence poorly. It can also be used for mine clearance, I grasp the usefulness of the equipment, the platform is what I have issue with.
>>
>>52464349
Holo2 automatically reactivates in the reactive turn, so it's not a one trick and it's gone. The only other PanO HI with surprise shot is Swiss Guard, and that one is considerably more expensive. Not to mention Sepulchre gives you the option to disguise itself as a different unit, so you can maneuver your big, killy HI into favorable range without your opponent realizing it.
I use Sepulchre a lot, it is my favourite knight, but I play vanilla, not MO.

Because currently every faction can field Scarface, but that will change once this tournament season ends (normally he was only available in Qapu Khalki part of Haqqislam), while only French and Scottish parts of Ariadna can field Anaconda (no word if she will return to only being available in FRRM again).

The big ones are usually a one per army list deal, as they tend to be costly centerpieces. Nomad Geckos and Onyx Overdrons would be the exceptions, as they are cheap and designed to be linked.
If you mean the small, tachikoma shaped ones, PanOceania, Yu Jing and Nomads have some of the best ones, and PanO has a number of troops with those monowheel Auxbots as well.

I'm guessing you meant Anaconda. It's a Merc TAG that is only available to low-tech sub-armies of Ariadna.
There's a small catch with Infinity factions: there 8 main ones, but also additional 16 subfactions, called sectorials. The deal is that you can either play a big faction or play a sectorial, which means a smaller pool of units to choose from, but some bonuses (and sometimes extra units, like a few Nomad ones in Qapu Khalki or mercs like Anaconda in Merovignia, the French sectorial).

But if you paint her well I don't think many people would mind if you just used her to proxy any other Silhouette 7 (55mm base) TAG. A local guy proxies Scarface with a Raicho all the time because he likes the model so much.

>>
Totaly new to the game, and havent decided on a faction yet, besides knowing I do not want to play the islamist, greeks and the alien factions.
What faction is the easiest to start with, out of those that are left? What I know about local infinity is that people play 275-350pts with a group limitation to one group, what ever that means. Also people here seem to be laid back with proxy units, so if there are any stand in models for good units that do not have models yet it aint a problem.

Am looking for something easy to play and win with, if possible with a limited number of inter model interactions. It is not that I am against it, but I wouldn't want to lose because of forgeting this or that of my units requiresto get a program to work first.
>>
>>52471074
275-350 are weird point costs.
If they're playing Limited Insertion, anything with good elite units is what you want. So PanO or Yu Jing, if you don't want Steel Phalanx (but you may still go for generic ALEPH) or high-cost skewed Nomads. Haqq and Ariadna struggle in LI.
PanO has a simple playstyle while YJ would be the most generalist faction, allowing for more variety. PanO has more TAGs (mecha), YJ has a more varied and interesting choice of Heavy Infantry.
>>
As much as I love Infinity's setting, there is something I find frustratingly vague.

None of the heads of state of any of the world powers are ever called by name or even given a passing description. It's a minor gripe, but knowing who was the current President of Pan Oceania or Emperor of Yu Jing in 67NC would really help bring the setting to life.
>>
>>52470532
Unless I'm mistaken, you should still have like 2 days to preorder.

>>52471074
Probably PanOceania? Their whole shtick is better shooting, big robots, little trickery and being a bit bland, but since you want simple it shouldn't be a problem. And it's got a ton of expensive units if you need to fit into one combat group.

>>52471231
>>52471297
Cool could you give me some advice what models to start with to get a basic 200-250pts army for those two. To be honest the choice between either one of those will be mostly based on what will cost less to buy.
>>
>>52471407
You can start with either from starter set alone or with one of the two player boxes; what changes is that Icestorm PanO will give you an additional HI (Father-Knight) while Red Veil YJ a Ninja with bow.

Red Veil Yu-Jing is exactly 20pts away from 200pts, so the best way to start with it is to split Red Veil with someone who wants to play Haqqislam and then split the YJ/Haqq Dire Foes set with them as well, as the named character inside costs 20pts and is a superb profile.

As for PanO, if you don't get the Father-Knight, you can add two Auxilia and an ORC with HMG to the starter set, and if you do have FK, add only the Auxilia.

For either faction you'll want a hacker and the S3 remotes set later down the line (PanO Dronbots or YJ Yaokongs). You can get the Spec-Ops model for either faction to act as any profile of the same silhouette, so it's great if you want e.g. Celestial Guard hacker, but you don't want the whole CG box.
>>
What are the staple units to have for Haqq? I have the Haqq half of red veil as well as the following:

>>
>>52471635

>>
>>52467441

>>
>>52471818
You are more likely to see Overdrons compared to Xeodrons, but the point was more about how spammable they are. As all the Overdrons are 2 SWC and only the 2xHRL being cheap enough to warrant more than one, Xeos are more likely to be fielded in >1 quantities. Well, that and they can form a Haris with a Samaritan.

The one group is because someone got buttmad about reading about the "unfair order spam meta" online and decided to be ridiculous and browbeat the local meta to be all Limited Insertion. Ignore it and build and play what you want. That is ridiculous.

It unfairly punishes some armies that rely on having a lot of weaker units to get the job done. FFS, I have a Merovingian list I'm preparing that is just Metros and an Anaconda TAG. It has 9 orders (10 is the max for a single combat group) at 150 points. I'm planning on expanding it to an ITS 300 with some Briscards and specialists and "promoting" those Metros into infilitrators.

Green Team Ariadna: Scots, French, American, Russians, lowtech frontier dogfuckers

Blue Team PanO: AI Jesus makes the Christian Church into the big man on campus, basically fancy Papist Euro NCA and Working Class Jungle Latino South America Aconetiementos

Red Team Nomads: Anarchists ranging from Christian Zealot Heretics that think AI Jesus is Satan to catgirl doctors and a bunch of other fringe shit. Also hackers.

Brown Team Haqq: Space Allah, biotech is sultan, elite caravan Merchant guards or Hassassins

Orange Team Yu Jing: weeaboo shit

Aliens Team 1 Combined: Damn Dirty Apes and gene splicers

Alien Team 2 Tohaa: space elves that talk with smells, also biotech

Ok, So any Manned TAG can have the pilot dismount, but only those two have ejection seats.

interestingly enough, the Raicho pilot is a specialist trooper.

All pilots are specialists. Operators are not specialists and continue to provide an order when their ride explodes, pilots commit sudoku.

Tiger Soldiers were one of the most characteristic regiments of the Imperial army during the Qing dynasty, easily recognized by their yellow black-striped uniforms. Their attire even included a hat or a hood with ears. They were armed with a sword and a big, round shield, which was decorated with an image of a fearsome tiger head, its jaws open. Although it might be surprising, the purpose of such attire was to fear and to elicit fear and a strong psychological shock from the enemy, who were often conscripted troops, composed by superstitious and badly trained peasants. Conversely, Tiger Soldiers were originally an exclusive unit made up of martial arts devotees. Their members were required to be in excellent physical condition to reproduce the feline movements of their totemic animal. This way they could make the enemy believe that they were real tiger demons with a humanoid appearance. Such a background could not be more inspiring for the elite airborne unit of the Yu Jing StateEmpire, which honors that tradition and joins it with the advanced technology of their jump armors, which display feline features as well.

It, and the anaconda, are operators. Still pilots by rules, but due to their weapons I guess are too busy shooting to push buttons.

Oh for some reason I was thinking operators as the new rem crabbot things, which also don't die when the TAG does, but I guess they don't provide an order. I missed the Anaconda too. It's a shame they don't get specialist operative.
