As for retirement? Well, he can either go on to do officer work, MP work, or be get a job doing Basic Training, or retire with a fat pension and scare kids off his property for a living.

And if that fails, well, either PI work or being a vigilante might do. Helps that the Investigator offered him a position at his PI firm if he wishes

This counts as a forceful transfer of corruption from the target to you. If the target runs out of corruption before hit points, you still gain corruption.

Lithe Rage : When you enter a rage from your Nightwalker ability, you instead gain +4 Dex in place of the +4 Str.

Corrupted Modulation : (Prereq : Avowed level 3) Pick a modulation clause. Whenever you use the selected Modulation, you may add one die of damage per five caster levels, but you also gain 1 Corruption per die (including the base dice)

I got some advice when applying for Puella recently for backstories that I think it pretty good. Write out your full backstory first, and don't worry about length. Then, once you're satisfied with it, write a short version of only a few paragraphs' length, aiming for 3-6 paragraphs. If you have so much stuff going on in your background that you can't condense it like that, your character either has too much going on or you're not trying hard enough.

It definitely made it way easier on me because I was able to focus on writing a backstory that was good without distracting myself with stuff like "Well this backstory is really dragging on, I should cut this part out". Honestly, when applying for a game you probably don't even need a full backstory for your app. There should be something there, but you don't need to flesh out every little detail. You just want to give the DM an idea of how your character got to be who they are, and show off your writing skills a bit. If you make it in the game, that's when you can start getting really deep into the fine details, if you care to.

Doing it this way makes things easier on you and the DM.

You can literally set them up weeks in advance if you just do them. There's plenty of instruction on how to do them, and the results won't change at all.

In fact, making them in advance allows you to prepare it to make it more theatrical and with a better idea of what to tell your players!

Personally, I love them. They have strong motivation to protect and care for one another. Their backstories automatically mesh well. If even one of them is tethered to the plot, that leaves the other free to do whatever.

The flip side is that the GM might not want both apps, which leaves him with a dilemma. If there's one strong app and one weak one, he either has to trust them to average out, or deny them both. There's no shortage of good apps, I think most GMs would just deny them both. Your chances of getting into a game are lower overall.

It's a classic trope.

A female assassin completes her assassination mission but botches her escape, and is mortally wounded. Bleeding out and unable to extract herself to a safehouse, she collaspes on the street and accepts her fate, thinking that perhaps this is justice.

Just then, a paladin happens to pass by, and sees a wounded woman lying in the street. He uses Lay Hands on her to stabilize her, then carries her to his home, where he tenderly nurses her back to health, tending to her wounds and hand feeding her soup.

And at first the assassin is just plotting to kill him the second she's able to move unrestricted by her wounds, but the more he cares for her the more she comes to appreciate what he's doing. It's as if the soup he's giving her is warming her heart as much as it warms her belly.

Then once she's back to full health, she chastises him for using the wrong spices in the soup. But she does so with a smile, teaching him how to make soup that tastes like what her mother used to make, so long ago when she was but a child...

Not much to be told. We heard rumours that the count has been conspiring with tiger-headed creatures. Our characters decided to just earn some pay from honest work and join the guard, (and scout the city this way). Then two of us were picked at random and brought to the count. They were captured and thrown into the cell.

From what the rest of the group gathers, he has been picking city-guards and servants for some days after he closed down the city.

I took Improved Initiative at level 1 because I'm a paranoid freak who thought Initiative and Perception were the be-all end-all of Pathfinder shit.

What have I missed? What's the new meta? Is it possible to play a character that is like a dragon shapeshifter but not a caster now? How did the not-psionics and hybrid classes turn out?

Nearly all except E and F are fine for adventuring

E is too twiggy, and doesn't have enough muscle or fat to properly engage in longterm adventuring. Seriously, she needs to eat more and hit the treadmill some more, so she can get to C or K's level. Also go outside and get some vitamin D you pasty fuck!

F is a fat lard with no actual muscle mass, who can probably bearly walk a mile before collapsing in a wheezing pile of blubber. Get that bitch to lift, eat less carbs, and do more crunches and squats so she can actually get some Str and Con and be a bit more limber and endurant, so she can be more like B or G

H and Kbarely makes the cut, if only because they looks like she can qucikly and easily get core and muscle build up done mid advenutre and won't need to dedicate to it before going on the adventure. Also, cute thigh-gap and hips on them

Aside from those too though, they all look fine enough to fulfill certain different roles in an adventuring party, and honestly I'd befine partnering with any of them

If I hat to pick a fav though, it would J but A, B, G, H, K, and L make for good runner ups

Some of the hybrids are pretty cool, the occult classes are fairly decent (though Kineticist has a fairly alarming useful-to-trap-option ratio), and the dragon book SUCKED.

Not-Psionics had a much more parapsychology-theme going on with them. More Penny Dreadful and voodoo witch-doctor than X-Men and Dune. It came with the best class in the system (Occultist), three okay classes (Medium the ultra-versatile one, Mesmerist, the one that hypnotizes people, and Spiritualist, the one that has a ghost buddy) and two shitshows, the Psychic (literally a sorcerer clone) and the Kineticist (a class that has to punch itself in the face to get things done)

Otherwise, things are good!
