Literally all that matters is that people can type "cyoa" into the search and find the thread.

Name: Buford B. Swift
A man in his mid 20s with shoulder length brown hair, blue
eyes and a rugged face that never seems to smile. Also built
like a brick shithouse. An outdoorsman and an avid paranormal
investigator, Buford spends his time checking out haunted
sites, looking into alien encounters and generally being
inawoods. That was until an alien ghost attached itself to
him! Now he finds himself drawn into the world of Stands with
a dangerous amount of delusions in his head. He is a Nature
Photographer and is fond of caffeine.

His stand appears as a humanoid with grey skin and robotic
limbs. Its only has four fingers and it's feet are little
flying saucers. Longer rubbery looking tentacles emerge from
the palms of its hands and it is these it uses to change the
ductility of objects, the tentacles weaving through the material to change them. Ut also has the ability to change its body's ductility. Its head is a large glass helmet in the
shape of an egg and it has to dark spots on it reminiscent of
ayylmao eyes. The is an indistinct humanoid head that can be
seen underneath the cloudy glass. Its back is covered by a
Simon Says looking disc that lights up in different colours.

I would take Perens Miography. I would hide in a generated stone structure that would envelop me, next to a water source.
I would also generate a bait structure, like some sort of small cavern with a bed structure. Eventually some people will find it and would sleep in it. I'd then kill them by pushing stone into their mouth.
The others wouldn't know of the existence of this power as I was the first one to pick, so they probably wouldn't have a doubt if I make it look natural enough.

You could still have other owners with funtime leaving 8 hours a day for jobs/punishments so, Maybe this?

Name: "Lord Chronos" actual - Daniel K.Kriegsford

A man in his early 20s with crisp black hair, blessed with good genetics and crisp black hair - which he covers with his stylish costume. originally an archaeologist exploring ancient aztec ruins when he awoke his miraculous new power. and which led him to try his hand at being a super villain - summoning dinosaurs to break open vault doors or simply steal the treasures from the past to become a great thief, but he remains open to other villainous work - and is in search of a hero to face. he is fond of theatrics and displays, but bears little malice or capacity to kill people - and even less for getting hurt.

his stand appears as a black skeletal humanoid in a black hooded robe, it lacks legs - appearing to look like a ghost, and its empty eye sockets appear to contain a watch- its hands are shrouded in black mist. it can summon this black mist from which it can summon objects- it can also summon concepts or attributes from the past( such as healing itself by bringing its full health from the past)

Xander

Mission: Oilr Rig (Bandits)
Old World Blues (Keep to myself)

With Alekandr as the shooter, Xander as the tech guy and me as the talker/meth cook who can bust a cap in your ass when you're not looking, we'll move around and fend for ourselves for a while. Selling my stuff and Xander's tech know-how we should be able to handle most things quite well.

At the oil rig we'll ally with the gang, discreetly eliminate the key defenders and find a way to let the gang into settlement. Gangers will like us and we'll get ourself a nice spot among our nwe friends. From there, we can start working upward - with talking, hooking people on my supply and stabbing when it's necessary, I can make this gang mine, and get myself a nice little personal fan club.

They'll come in handy when the time to subdue the bunker comes. With the bunker, Xander to show us the ropes, we can make ourselves high-tech and augmented.

And then the REAL fun starts.

Name: Danielle Oates
A pretty young woman with a laid-back attitude, Danielle didn't ask any questions when she awoke her Stand powers, which allowed her to "dodge" anything - not just physical objects, but metaphysical concepts like "responsibility" or "consequences", just as long as she was aware of them "approaching" her. Her arc's Jojo discovered her getting out of paying a bar tab by "dodging" the payment - which of course meant the charge went to another patron - and confronted her. He/she soundly defeated Danielle despite the strength of her Stand ability, telling her it was because she had spent so much time avoiding things, she was no longer able to stand up for anything, even herself. Equal parts chagrined by her past behavior and intrigued by the Jojo, she decided to attach herself to them on whatever Bizarre Adventure they were engaged in...

Name: Jordan Johnson

A young man in the peak of his youth, straight out of college and ready to take on the world. In a foreign study in England occurring the first semester of his senior year, he discovered that he was descended from a noble family in the country - the Joestars.
It seemed like a remarkable coincidence that his "homestay" was a large, 19th-century mansion with a small stock of servants and absolutely no family for them to take care of. However, the coincidences piled up, and it ultimately turned out that the Joestars had formerly lived in that mansion, and had been thought to have died out with the loss of its last branch in the American colonies. What hadn't been recorded in the annals of history was one young member's gold fever, and subsequent rush to California - causing the family to mark him off as deceased. This member had only a daughter, who married a handsome young prospector named Boris Johnson and carried on the Joestar blood, though not the name.

(2/2, Pic related is [Jo]rdan [Jo]hnson.)
Following this revelation, Jordan returned to New York where he finished his degree in History and dedicated himself to the pursuit of archaeology, taking up a post at the city's Museum of Natural History. He's also inherited the mansion and the Joestar fortune, and on a hobby archaeological dig there, happened upon fragments of what appeared to be a stone mask. Upon touching them, he received a rush of spiritual energy, and found himself to be staring at what appeared to be a robotic man. To his amazement, the man appeared to do whatever Jordan wished it to - but the household servants couldn't see it at all!

Following that amazing discovery, he plunged deeper into the history of the Joestar family. He'd accepted everything at face value before, but now there seemed to be something further going on. He began, steadily, to discover bits and pieces of a fantastic story - featuring vampires, something called Hamon, and... Stands. Manifestations of one's soul, and almost certainly Jordan's "robotic man." He decided that from now on, he would give only token work to the Museum. Instead, his true purpose in life would to be unravel the mystery behind the Joestars, and the true reason why they vanished from the Earth. Now, he travels the world, seeking out information on his ancestors through various cities, nations and their archives. At the same time, he's discovered that not only Joestars can carry Stands, and he's made a few friends in several ports - and even some who accompany him on his travels - who help him on his quest to uncover the ancient evil the Joestars fought to keep down.

Name: David Baker

David Baker doesn't have any mysterious past, despite his lust for 'adventure'. He was an average person living an average life, until he cut himself on a mysterious arrowhead. Now, the world itself seems to bend to him. He'll achieve his ambitions, rising to the top of the world in heroic effort. That is what he has decided he shall do. The fate, the destiny he desires, and is unerringly guided to. So what if a few people have to die? They were in his way, so they deserved it. As the heir to the world, who could dare contradict him? Those people obviously deserve to die as well.

>Name: Johannes Kafka
An older man, Johannes is a prosecutor by trade - and a failed author in his free time. Gaunt and sickly, he is far from the spitting image of health; his personality reflects his appearance. He never seems to smile, and his glassy eyes give him the appearance of a dreamlike state. It is very doubtful that his stand's powers have made his demeanor any more cheery. Though meek and fatalistic, being given a chance to teach you and help you make something of yourself seems to have roused him from his depressed attitude. Over time, he will grow to be happier and more active, his complexion improving and his luck in life turning for the better - until his confrontation with the main villain. Knowing there is little chance he will survive, he will leave you with the knowledge that meeting you and your friends, and actually being able to, for once in his life, be able to put something together and make it better rather than tearing it down was the greatest part of his entire life. If he survives the encounter, the Jo and BroJo's will never see him until after their triumph against the main villain.

His stand reflects his attitude and powers quite well. It is white and black, with the appearance of a bald clown similar to that of Pierrot. Its costume is ratty and run-down, and its face is a constant masque of sadness and regret - as though it hates everything about its powers. Its depression will only lift once it and Johannes go to face the main villain - though it will still carry a peculiar melancholy.

Power: Magma manipulation http://powerlisting.wikia.com/wiki/Magma_Manipulation

Kickstart can turn any natural earth (dirt and sand, not asphalt or concrete) into magma and bend it to it's will. Applications include lava fist volleys, battlefield annihilation, lava bodies to attack and confuse opponents, and (eventually) obsidian weapon creation (by compressing and cooling the magma as quickly as possible).

Kickstart appears as a chrome skeleton wearing what appears to be a bikers outfit: leather jacket, black pants, combat boots. Instead of regular human teeth, it appears to have a mouth full of fangs, and is biting down on an iron spike. It has a V8 engine sprouting from its back, along with six exhaust pipes arranged like wings. The engine revs louder, and flames burst fourth from the pipes as Kickstart gathers and controls more and more magma.

Name Josephine Joken

A distant offshoot of the main Joestar bloodline (goddammit Joseph), Josephine enjoyed a quiet life of mediocrity (aside from having an imaginary friend well into her late teens at any rate) for almost all of her life. Until everything was taken from her in a single day. Kidnapped, her family slain in front of her, and almost sacrificed to some horrid god by "The Disciples of the Noble One". Only free and safe thanks to her oldest friend, now know as a "Stand", she dedicates herself to eradicating the Disciples, finding this "Noble One" and punching him/her/it in the goddamn face. With lava.

Well, we've got everything short of a few more minor villains. The question is, what's the plotline of the arc? And what do we name it?
>>
>>52265686
After his escape, Zola managed to run to a secluded section of west Teb'Ihr, claiming an old fortress as his own under a bargain with the Duke ruling the area. 350 years of service, then he would have freedom, bar swearing fealty to the King. His grimoire is largely focused on haemomancy, with a focus on utility by using Stonewritten Sanguine Senses or Bloody Purge to provide services to those few people who live in the nearest village, who are nominally citizens of his realm. Lift Bloodstain allows him to gather all the blood he needs for his complex enhanced rituals, while Blood Runs Dark lets him venture out in the sun and cast doubts on those who would claim him as a Vampire. Blood Burst is the most obvious offensive spell he has, and he keeps several casts held on stone runes that he can call on at any moment. He also dipped into multiple other schools of magic for both protection and healing purposes, which he uses on his citizens in order to ingratiate them to him. Of note are the large standing stones he leaves around the area with Ward Spirits or Ward Undead etched on them.

He brought with him two Thralls who he uses as servants, his master's old groundskeeper who directs their efforts, a master smith to outfit his militia and troops. The two Vampire Knights are his personal guards, while the Dhampir is his agent who can pass as human when he needs sleep, able to go get all the things he needs from neighboring towns. The Scholar and Sarah both help him with his primary focus on studying Haemomancy.

Of course, it isn't all well. The knowledge of a weak count nominally ruling over the area has spurred a psychotic count and a scared duke into action against him, desiring to take lands from his much stronger master with little risk to themselves. There are also rumors of a woman riding a mammoth at the western edges of his demesne, but these are so far unproven.

Not even as insane as the Dwemmer, even. The Dwemmer at least acknowledged the existence of the Aedra and the Daedra - they just refused to worship them and were obsessed with showing them up just to spite them.

I guess he means that he just doesn't worship them or believes them to be powerful spirits but not true gods or something.

Well, we've got a globe spanning mystery to find out what happened to the Joestars, a cult dedicated to the only person a cult can be dedicated to in all of JoJo, and more than enough room for all the crazy fuckery we want. There are no limits as to how Bizarre this adventure can get! Though I think we need a timeline established, as I'm not sure what era this would take place in.

As for personal arcs, Josephine would obviously get the "finding a new family"/"is vengeance worth it?" (hells yeah it is) for her main ones I think. And maybe learning to trust people again, Disciples of the Noble One don't play around.

Flesh and Soul, material and immaterial. These are the things with which I concern myself, and I am a moral man. Most of the time I'll be acting as a healer and exorcist.

>Companions: Nadya, Agedoke
One of the first things I'm going to do is grow an empty vessel for Nadya to wear so she isn't stuck as a book all the time, then offer Agedoke either a way to extend his life, or myself as a student to learn his knowledge.

>Location: Roadside Inn in Western Teb’Ihr
A place to find succor for the night where good food and healing can be found, along with a clone for me. I'll sometimes leave my created servants in charge and go off to secret a clone away elsewhere, while able to move between them as a Körperlos when needed.
I don't know if that is legit to combine two forms of immortality, but I like the sense it makes in my head. Really miss all the hellraiser influences.

As the one who made David, I'm guessing that Johannes will end up dying in his final battle, but in his sacrifice, open up or reveal a weakness in David's "Always wins" effect (possibly through stupidly meta Deconstruction-of-Tropes cheese)
Which allows Jordan/Josephine to finally defeat him in the end.

I mean, unless you likely have a better idea?
>>
>>52265697
We've got a good introductory arc, kind of like Phantom Blood: It starts with one man, Jordan, discovering that he's a part of an ancient and noble bloodline and setting about to uncover its secrets and re-establish it as a preeminent family. The ambitious David Baker, with his ability to turn things in favor for himself, has his own sights on the top and believes there's no room up there for rusty old families whose glory age was centuries ago.

Obviously, this doesn't get into any of the bigger mysteries behind the Joestar name, but it's a good place to start! I'd call this arc 「Twisted Roots」, considering that the "old guard" of the Joestars and the "nouveau riche" of David Baker are twisting together in conflict, and because it sets the stage with the start of investigation into the history of the Joestar family.

>>52265850
For the era, I'd recommend anywhere between 1948 and 2006! Obviously, that provides a massive amount of leeway, but eh, whatever.
>>
>>52266122
>Körperlos // Clone (Gained via 1 less companion, legal?)
Nope. But what you could do instead is use create life and possess bodies that way, though I don't know if Körperlos gives you the ability to do so or if you'd need Soul Swap.

Lorekhmu - Forgotten Laboratory

tl:dr - Use necromantic powers to run a profitable plantation.

It's hot. And humid. And the insects are the size of a man's fist.

This is the southern coast of Lorekham, a god forsaken hellhole to outsiders where insect-borne disease run rampant and kill the uninitiated in days. Foreign sailors are strongly advised to stay within the protective borders of their port city, small life-preserving sanctuaries where the nearby swamps and jungles have been cleared and insect-repellents are liberally applied.

This, my friends, is where lodsemone will be made.
>>
>>52266354
It begins with the purchase of a long abandoned laboratory and its surrounding land. It's in a good location, close to the coast where ships can bring and carry goods. You make your way inside and survey the damage - equipment knocked over, plants grown amok over delicate instruments. Years of neglect clear everywhere. It's definitely in a sorry state; but where others see ruin, the cunning see an opportunity.

Sighing, you walk outside into the bright sun (if you weren't dead already you'd die from the heat, you think to myself). Your followers have surveyed the surrounding area and have returned to report their findings. Based on the nearby plant life's indications of soil and climate conditions, growing sugar and spices here should be possible. More importantly, you add, should be profitable.

You beckon the group inside the laboratory and out of the blazing daylight. Crowding around a cluttered and dusty table; together with you are five apprentice liches, a travelling merchant, and a scholar. The hired groundskeeper should have been here by now, but the idiot skeletons you sent to escort him must be having trouble finding their way back. They'll make it back eventually. You hope.

Together with your group you create a plan for the first month. Things that should be immediately taken care of, like preparing the soil for planting or fixing some laboratory instruments. Everyone being in agreement you get to work.

The groundskeeper finally arrives in a week. He is too polite to verbalize his complaints of the stupidity of the (disguised undead) guards you sent him, but his initial demeanor speaks volumes of his frustration. Along with him are carts, full of the corpses of slaves bought from a nearby city state. The first shipment of more to come. He ignores the other liches and you raising them for manual labor.

>>
>>52266374
The full month has passed, and with the help of your undead servants you make great progress. Fields have been prepared, the seeds have been sown. Smiling, you know the time has finally come for the (literal) magic to happen.

You begin aging the seeds. 10 years is a fraction of a human lifespan, but for your crops, you easily bring them to maturity in an instant. Why wait when you can have the plants now?

You take your plants and begin experimenting. Hacking off bits here, reattaching bits there. You create some pretty good initial prototypes for hybrid plant monstrosities, but you'll need years and the laboratory to perfect and truly maximize yields.

Then you take your prototypes and cause them to grow wildly. Bigger and better in every way with massive yields. You can harvest a lot of sugar from even a single one of those suckers.

Approaching the end, you rejuvenate the plants, causing them to reach exquisite quality. The finest tasting sugar and spices in these parts, no doubt.

Your work near done, you inject your plants a plague. Not harmful to the plant, but deadly to the many common parasites and diseases that afflict plants in the area.

A job well done, if you say so yourself. And when the plants are finished being harvested, you cast gentle repose on them to prevent their decay in transit. Your customers dine on only the freshest, high quality sugar and spices around. And that freshness and quality comes at a price, of course.

Over the next few months you make quite a stir in the local city state market. Your goods are gaining recognition and merchants are beginning to see its potential. Your goods can be bought and then shipped anywhere without losing quality. Quite valuable to them, and when the merchants find your goods valuable, you tend to come across some serious coin.
>>
>>52265164
Something I'm not quite clear about this one is, I know it was a collective project by most famous authors on CYOAG, but are these "self-potraits"? Like did each author make their entry based on themselves?
Or did they base their entry on another author (on the reasoning that it would be more modest that way)?
Or am I completely off the mark and the characters are not at all stand-ins for the various authors?
>>
>>52266400
Alas, the attention gained comes with its own problems. Your recent success and resulting bustling activity of the area has awoken a banshee. Luckily, you know one strike with a Death Ward item can bring it to rest - but getting close to it past its undead minions is the problem.

And not everyone is completely baffled by how you've grown so successful in plantation owning in such a short time. They suspect magic - particularly, necromancy. A local ruler (correctly) believes you to hold the secret to immortality and is constantly probing your holdings for weakness. He even paired with a count, and together have sent a Bounty Hunter and Spellsword to capture you dead or alive.

But even they are not your greatest threat. One individual, a fellow necromancer, knows specifically how you accomplished your business. She is impressed by your cleverness and wishes to see how you handle her own, far deadlier creations. Perhaps after you disappear, she wishes to take over your business...?

But you do not disappear. With your cohort of liches, you successfully defend your territory and fend off your enemies.

Years later now, you have expanded your initial outing into a massive venture. Much of the surrounding land is owned by you, converted into fertile lands where the heat and rain nourish your creations. You've developed entirely new spices and luxuries to sell, with unique flavors and textures for people to enjoy. Through all your adversity, you have finally achieved your dream:

Lodesmone.

The very image of smarm and charm, this jackass was chained to the lowest rung the media has to offer: local television. His hopes of riding public opinion to an easy life were dashed by the cruel realities of a dying medium... until a certain magical force started manifesting. He's all self-esteem with only bluffs and the odd supernatural being to back it up.

The stand looks imposing, a gleaming armored figure blazing with the lights of TV test patterns and bad CGI news intros, but it's all glitz unless you're suckered into believing in its strength. And good ol' Alberts has quite the history with bluffing. Beyond that, it's just a skeletal frame of neon lights projecting out the stronger-seeming form.

Pay no attention to the newscaster behind the curtain.

Name: Aimi Amane
A short-haired, blonde girl in her mid-late teens, remarkably pretty yet slightly tomboyish. Her petite build makes her smaller than most her age, and she is moderately athletic. A relatively laid-back and nonchalant individual, Aimi's interests mostly lie in music and art. Once a boy by the name of Alex, his body was stolen by an unknown stand and replaced by that of his sister, Aimi. The experience allowed her to awaken a stand of her own, which she intends to aid her in her quest to find her sister, find the one who stole her body and return it to her.

Her stand takes the form of a humanoid female to roughly her own proportions, seemingly constructed out of a series of silver rectangular rods spaced apart from one another to make it partially hollow. These rods are what forms the stand's four-fingered hands, and fan out atop the head to form four prongs akin to a fork. They are connected at the hips, shoulders, elbows, knees, wrists and ankles by wooden blocks, all of which have "Made in China" printed in small letters somewhere on them. A wooden plate serves as something akin to a mask for its head, onto which a smiley face is painted in what looks like pasta sauce.

Power: Fantasy Genesis
Allows the generation of fictional beings in the real world. The fictional being must be primarily the invention of the user's imagination. Cannot "recreate" existing fictional characters nor real-world people (but can take inspiration from them). Characters can have a variety of powers and abilities, supernatural or otherwise, allowing for incredible flexibility, however non-humanoids cannot be created. In addition, the character must be fully "fleshed out", and must have a defined history, personality (including realistic flaws), and other aspects of their character defined in the User's mind. Due to the limitations regarding "realistic flaws" being required, characters generated with this Stand can't be "all-powerful", or something of the sort. Additionally, the Stand seems to have difficulty generating non-female characters, but this may be due to the User's tastes or some unseen mental block.

This Stand is semi-autonomus, and the characters it creates will not take orders and act on their own agency by default, as they are considered to be living and breathing entities with their own history and motivations (which cannot be changed). It is down to the user to convince the being summoned by the Stand to cooperate.

The Stand can be summoned and dismissed at will, but failing to properly negotiate with the Stand will result in the Stand's refusal to cooperate. Obviously, only one instance of this Stand can be active at once. Memories and status (such as injuries) are retained between summonings.

Overuse of this Stand over a short period of time will create mental bleeding, which can cause flare-ups of schizophrenic and/or disassociative episodes. Note that this Stand will NOT inherently protect the user.

Lana's world that projects around 「Pay To Cum」is impercisely created, everyone with half a brain can percieve that it iss some sort of projection onto the world. This world is a trashed urban enviroment populated mostly by humans, rats, and stange alt-art monsters. The world seems to have no real government but an abundant and opressive police force called "The Authority", a large mass of masked SWAT goons who seems to exsist purely to antagonize the masses. Intruders upon her world will feel the wrath of armed revolutionaries, anarchists, monsters, etc but they are all weak.

I wouldn't exactly call them monsters. I'd just be confused as to why everyone in the area thought blood sacrifice was the only way to prevent the world from ending and maybe hope there's no Great Old One slumbering under the place influencing them.
>>
>>52267163
They were as close to monsters as any human culture before or sense has been. The people surrounding them DESPISED them utterly, that's why they all teamed up with the Spanish to slaughter the fucking Aztecs.
>>
>>52267196
>>52267163

I dunno man, based on my extremely vague knowledge about the stuff, weren't they sacrificing people to fuel their gods who in turn strain to keep the world from ending? The whole ceremonial rigmarole and the war-hostage taking and the bloodsport and the veneration of the suicides was just a way of making that pill easier to swallow.

It's all fucked up stuff, but it's an entirely human and common kind of fucked up.

In Our Mother's year of 20XX a ship with a strange mercenary company on board sailed to Teb'Eis. For the entire trip the soldiers sat in the hold without a single word or even a whisper, utterly silent and still. A masked man and his followers were in a hurry, and they paid enough silver to preclude any questions from the captain. After a long journey the men landed on one of the islands and headed in the direction of the Ost'Nar, the old fortress built in the time when islanders feared the invasion of the southern lords. The ship they traveled on was never heard of again.

People of Ost'Nar were a miserable bunch. Their duke (by the way, duke > count in the noble hierarchy, just so you know, scientist) was a great warrior when he was young, and a great ruler when he was older. Now he was counting his last days in madness and anguish. He became obsessed with prolonging his life using any means he deemed worthy, trying anything short of cow urine, asking hedge wizards and herbalists, even sacrificing his youngest daughter to the Old Gods of the Sea, all in vain. All his warriors abandoned him and became sellswords or bandits. After the death of his daughter he had no more relatives and no heir. It was only a matter of time before his neighbors would take his lands for themselves, townsfolk muttered.

The masked man offered his help in exchange for a single favor. After the night he spent under the castle's roof the duke was no more. His body was never found. His last will was for the masked man to succeed him as the ruler of Ost'Nar.

The townsfolk were divided. Some cried for vengeance and called the masked man a vile warlock and sorceror. Some were relieved that the madman was finally dead, and were hoping that the new ruler won't be as bad as the old one. At the end of the day, the village miller took some strong lads with axes and pitchfork and marched inside the castle. There were only screams. Later some people claimed that the castle was haunted, and they saw a warrior clad in duke's black armor wielding duke's bloodied sword. The rumors were quickly hushed away. It was clear who ruled Ost'Nar now.

The masked man and his troops didn't rob the peasantry of their food or put strangers' heads on spikes to appease the gods, and the village slowly accepted their new ruler. Nobles of the land didn't share the sentiment however. One of the duke's old enemies, count of Lach'Sarn, decided to make a move and finally expand his territory. He was too afraid to oppose the duke openly, but with his death his hands were finally untied. His plans didn't go far though, as after a week of preparation for war he was found dead in his bedroom, empty vial in hand. Doctors couldn't say what caused his death, as the vial was empty, and no known poisons were found in his blood, but nobody doubted the possibility of suicide, as the count's family was notorious for their history of mental disorders. The war ended without a single battle, but another one has begun shortly after, as the count's lands became contested between his distant relatives. The wiser nobles of the islands got the masked man's point, but some still considered Ost'Nar too important to ignore. They put a bounty on masked man's head, and some individuals tried to claim it, although unsuccessfully.

They sacrifice people because A) The only god who was willing to fuel the sun this time around was evil as hell and demands blood.. B) All the other gods fell into as much evil as he and also demand blood, except Quetzalcoatl who is disgusted by them.

But superstition never justifies your actions.

Pathmaker is the kind of thing that's liable to get David to「want」 your character, so unless you want to be a Minor Villain, you're going to have some trouble. David 「gets」 what he 「wants」, after all.
Mayan Deity Physiology... you could make your stand based off of one of them? Or all of them. Might make a good other villain, to help balance out there being two Jojos. He could be at the head or other high ranking position of the Disciples of the Noble One, or something.

Ost'Nar finally enjoyed some peace and quiet, as the masked man and his troops drove away a troublesome wild elf tribe who regularly stole livestock and burned the crops. Some of the elves were even enslaved and forced to work at the castle. Although islanders of Teb'Eis didn't openly approve of slavery (though some cynical minds considered serfdom a form of it), wise townsfolk decided that laws of the islands were written with humans in mind, and if elves legally kept slaves they could as well be enslaved without any repercussions. Nobody pitied them or even noticed that their numbers were becoming smaller with each passing week.

In his laboratory, the masked man was contemplating his next steps. He saw same events happening before his very eyes countless aeons ago. He saw an ancient abomination rising from its slumber. He saw creatures made of flesh and hooks and chains ripping apart the world. He saw a mad wizard creating a plague that killed all magic in the world. All those things already happened, then why does the world still exists? He had no answer, but he would have it soon enough. In his dreams he saw something his "previous" master created but his "current" master didn't know about. Something called "Fleshpoint Network". He would use it to increase his power and when he has power he'll have the knowledge he needs. After all, he has plenty of time.

Do any of these autistic fucking buildfags ever realize that if they ever put half as much effort into making CYOAs as they did into making the threads an unreadable mess that we'd probably have 10x the OC and they might actually do something that other people would read/care about for once?
>>
>>52267449
I don't get the cries for OC that some autistic sperglords demand.

It's not "Post A Bunch of Content" it's "Choose Your Own Adventure". That means that people should be, y'know, choosing adventures.

If you don't appreciate the builds as much as the CYOAs themselves, you're missing the point entirely and you should probably leave before you get any more pointlessly frustrated.

Chronos and Hounds are both probably unrelated to the other villains, and do their own things. George and Lana both have powers with themes based off of how people perceive the world, especially incorrect perceptions. I'm fine with a little build here and there, but when it's a gigantic double-spaced fuckwall 2-4 posts long filled with multiple 4-5 line paragraphs of dumb fanfiction then we have a problem. It is, for all intents and purposes, copypasta spam; a thing which is banned pretty much everywhere, and while you can argue that 1% of the population enjoy them, I'd wager that more people than that probably enjoy copypasta spam. You people are doing nothing but dumping your personal shit in our threads for no reason, and again, it's fine if I can easily scroll past it, but I'm just getting fucking tired of having to hide pretty much every .pdf that gets posted just so I can browse in peace.

Stand Name: Own Little World

Destructive Power: D
Speed: B
Range: B
Durability: B
Precision: B
Learning: A

Fabulous as Fuck
Minor Villain
Sharp Dresser
Do you even pose?
Cool hair

Name: 'AAA', actually Alphonse Alexander Austin

Alphonse is a teenager of 15, perhaps 16, with an ethereal beauty about him. He's about 5'6 with platinum blonde hair so light it borders on white, and always seems dressed to impress. Despite the advantages his looks could bring him, he is addicted to video games and spends most of his time playing them, often getting the top score on any arcade cabinet he comes across. On all of them, he leaves his gamer alias, 'AAA'.

His Stand, Own Little World, is a reflection of his owner in that it is amazing at gaming. Its game is reality, and it can cause limited warps in reality as if it was reprogramming it, though these creations are somewhat unstable and collapse after a few moments. But it's existence for just a small period of time means that such an object did exist at one point in the past. If only there was a way to make use of it. Own Little World manifests as two contrasting colored teddy bears, though they are mobile if the need arises.

Name: Philip McKinnon
An 19-year-old American guy with an incredibly amiable presence. Often making jokes and creating a comfortable atmosphere for those around him, Phil blends easily into any group. His ever-chipper attitude can be a bit exhausting to others at times, though, and sometimes his attempts at humor may strike a harmful chord for those they are aimed at. He often boasts about his strong "Irish lineage," despite only being about a quarter Irish. He paints fantastical tales of his ancestors and their many fictional accomplishments, declaring that he is genetically predisposed to success. It's hard to gauge whether Phil actually believes his own stories or if it's a running joke. During the summer preceding his freshman year of college, Phil began having dreams in which an owl promised him great power in exchange for aiding in the fight against a great evil. He accepted, and his stand was awoken.

「Stratus」 manifests in a form resembling an array of swirling clouds centered above its user. Different seasonal/atmospheric effects can be altered under the stand's influence, and it is most potent close to sunrise/sunset. These may be destructive, but hitting specific targets with weather effects requires intense concentration.

Sharp Dresser
Do you even pose?

Name: Levine Klein

A 30-something overweight man who frequently dresses in suits. He has an impeccable business sense and has built a media empire all alone. He has short brown hair, and is only 5'8, though his commanding presence more than makes up for his lack of height.

His stand, completely contrary to his looks, is a cute little fox looking create colored white and pink with huge ears. Though the astute will notice what seems like overwhelming power rumbling just beneath the surface, as if this creature regularly peddles in world-affecting matters. It's power is the ability to make an 'Absolute Contract' with anything, of which the conditions will be enforced without fail. It is not a case where probability favors the contract-holder, reality itself will always 'correct' itself until the Contract conditions are upheld. The first pact Levine made was with himself, completely removing his own concept of death.
Who ever heard of a story with only one villain? There always has to be one who ups the stakes waiting in the shadows.

The description of Teb'Eis is still unclear, if the Altaic lords were of Teb'Ihr descent then how did they rule for 200 years when the Teb'Ihr were thrown back in less than 2 years.

Teb'Hai, Leuchtevesto, and Matchtevesto all call it Teb'Jhr, while it's own description and Teb'Eis call it Teb'Ihr.

Leuchtevesto calls it Teb'Fis instead of Teb'Eis

Name: Hoo
After its stand was awoken as an effect of exposure to (main villain), Hoo gained sentience and fled, seeking to harness its new power and enlist help in pacifying the malevolent force. It has traveled far in search of those with the spiritual potential to withstand the manifestation of their stands, and has taken an interest in a certain Philip McKinnon. Hoo can awaken one's stand if it can convince them to conceive of and "actualize" the awakening, although this is a very forcible method, and the target's stand is only usable as long as 「A Dream Goes On Forever」 is active (Hoo is alive).

While appearing as a wise, majestic owl in its domain of dreams, Hoo is actually a pigeon. It relies on others for protection and is useless in physically demanding situations, but can offer great guidance to sleeping allies and even harm sleeping foes.

「A Dream Goes On Forever」 can pull those within close proximity to its user into a dream world completely under its control. It takes the form of falling feathers which must make contact with sleeping targets. Aside from offering its user the ability to manipulate the physicality of this realm, the stand also determines that certain effects on the bodies of those taken into the dream world are reflected later on in the physical world to some degree. For example, wounds gained in the dream world manifest in the physical world, although their intensity depends on a number of factors (including the number of people pulled into the dream). The souls of targets (which can manifest as their stands) cannot typically be manipulated by the user, although certain conditions may allow. Targets have mostly uncompromised agency of their bodies and stands within the dream world.

Between Sever Soul and Extract Soul, which one would work on the Bone/Blood/Flesh Golem? As you use Trap Soul for them, it makes sense that Extract Soul is what you'd need to use to reverse the process, but Sever Soul pretty much does the same thing. Or would Sever Soul only work on Corpse Golems? As the Promraen Caro are technically "living" monsters while being undead at the same time.

Mother's Khorpius does similar things, though while SS looses them into the world, MK forces them to pass on, thereby being unable to be used as a minion or with spells.

Some spells are similar to Orange ones, and the idea is they're "descended" from them.

>>52268498
>Is Create Life a prerequisite for Clone or just a fluff thing?
I won't be a cunt and say it's required, but i recommend anyone doing anything beyond a choice dump takes it. My reasoning is that i've already stated it's a numbers prerequisite, not a specific one, for immortality and i would feel like a cunt doubling up on prerequisites.
>Can we undo Calcify and Inflict Paralysis? Also, is Calcify lethal to the victim?
With the 3v1.2 Rejuvenate, you can.
>If I'm reading it right, Alter Appearance can quickly make you look like a girl but if you want to be able to give birth, you gotta use Warp Flesh, correct?
Correct.
>I assume we can take any companion, regardless of which school we focus on and even if we don't know any spells related to them? Does the same apply for minions?
If you have the requisite spells, and i've made alterations to how the grimoire stuff works so you can, yes it does.
>I feel like certain Lairs should be tied to certain locations/countries.
In v2 they were but then there was the case of having essentially the same lair multiple times in nation-specific versions.

>>52268567
I'm thinking right now they'd be immune to most spells, spirit attacks, wards, etc, but i'm not sure how to balance that. Perhaps you're locked away in a Configuration until it's solved; which would allow for Hellraiser In Space to happen.
Hint for the NCYOA sequel.
>>
>>52268632
Honestly, Caro is probably the strongest in terms of force-multiplication for most minions.
You could use any number of spells from Caro to enhance a victim before turning them into your favored kind of minion.
Use Mass Growth on a person, then make them into a mummy, just to see what happens.

Soak your mummies in Limit Bane, see if they Hulk out.

My head is full of crazy shit Caro could do.
Personally it's my favorite school.

See the description of Create Abomination. They have a particular "necro-bio" energy that resists spiritual assault. The Spirit Ward description says it affects the "necromantic energy of undead" (presumably, undead created by the Liber Mortis style of necromancy). So yeah, I'd say the Abominations are definitely counted as 'undead' for the purposes of these types of spells.

A noble obsessed with attaining perfection in all aspects; though he had originally limited his scope to that of physical, fleshly perfection, his studies under his now deceased master led him to the epiphany that both spirit and flesh must be in complete harmony with one another for the true Ubermensch to be born and expanded his studies accordingly.

With his master now gone, he wiles away his days at the court of some faraway palace in the deserts of Deparmiya, entertaining nobles with ghastly puppet shows performed by his creations, byproducts of his studies in the relation between flesh and spirit.

Accompanying him are his servants, headed by a Tagon, his first creation before he began delving into the mysteries of the soul, and a young lass whose curious condition attracted his academic curiosity, the head butler and maid respectively.

Despite his own intentions, Bifrovs has offended many while collecting experimental samples for his projects, from the mundane crowds of angry villagers to ancient ghosts and undead he had disturbed while in search of souls and bodies to use. In particular, his most hated nemesis is the Doctor, whose creations he finds crass and distasteful.

Well then, I might as well repost a TL;DR of my build >>52267293

Xandros
A lich who claims that he survived the end of the world. He has visions where the Child awakens and destroys everything on the continent. He has vague knowledge of "Fleshpoint Network", "Eremites" and other things modern scholars have no idea about, and he believes that it comes from either his past lives or parallel realities. He's determined to make sense of his visions and prevent the possible world-ending cataclysm from happening. He keeps a low profile and tries to prevent any unnecessary casualties, but he will stop at nothing if there's a tangible threat to his mission or his existence. He's fluent in all world languages and is always curious about new magical developments.

>"...then I saw a man creating a plague that kills all magic in the world. Absurd, I know, but I still wonder if it's technically possible."
>>
>>52268498
>Also, is Calcify lethal to the victim?
Since >>52268718 didn't seem to address this part, I'll just remind you about the spell description and how it mentions that the caster can have it target specific parts or the entire creature, so the lethality would be up to the caster (plus whatever defences against magic the target might have).

Nah, Create Thrall does that too. Don't even have to make them into mindless slaves, just don't feed them more than twice. It's just that the effect is temporary. Well, I'm not sure if they're even undead or not or if they're just some sort of blood monster, like how the Ahudrien is basically just a plant monster.
>>
>>52268718
What happens if you use Rejuvenate on a zombie or mummy or something?
Does it just make them look nicer, or will it turn them even more monstrous or something?
Also, the Ghoul Minion still has Create Ghoul as the spell for creating it, but there is no such spell anymore.
>>
>>52268775
>What happens if you use Rejuvenate on a zombie or mummy or something?
I will make them look pretty damn good, even passable; but not stop decay, so there's that. It will also restore any abilities lost from said decay as having muscles restored tends to do that.
I think mummies would still be mummified to some extent.
>Also, the Ghoul Minion still has Create Ghoul as the spell for creating it, but there is no such spell anymore.

Honestly the main reason I wouldn't pick mummy is that I hate the desert. Too hot.

Choose a school as your main school, obviously. Reread the first paragraph about the spell. You specialize in 1 school and get 3/3/2/1 spells from it and 6 spells from anywhere else.

Someone probably can dispel it, I don't see why not. Thing is, necromancy has no true "dispel". Maybe elemental or other mages in-setting have something like that.

And nothing is stopping you from just ordering your big guy servant from binding a death warden with chains and throwing him into the ocean.

It says it stops death from decapitation and stuff, but does that mean that they can't be decapitated, or that they'll still be alive despite not being in 1 piece?

It says it stops disfigurement, so I suppose that you just don't suffer any permanent damage and that you'll regenerate. Perhaps it's read as
>This stops [disfigurement], [decapitations and other deaths], [as well as any lesser methods afflicted upon you.]
So it doesn't stop decapitation itself, but it does stop you from dying from a decapitation. And as being decapitated would fall under disfigurement, the damage would be fixed to erase it.

Ele is a daughter of the Defense Force officer that serves in a different city, with her mother being a train attendant. She chose to stay in her city, instead of moving out with father as she wants to create her own kendo team Red Knights.
Her personality is a lazy and tired person that hides a passionate love for swordmanship with a cold and ruthless approach to battle.

The stand can possess her sword, or any almost any other item, or even person to serve as a bodyguard.

The ultimate technique is that whatever is cut, stays separated, preventing reattaching, or allowing to separate fused things. If air is cut, the sword's trail becomes a sharp and invisible short term hazard.

For example, if a shower of glass is incoming, a cut will create a slim horizontal window in the center. Or if another stand possesses something, it can be forced out, if the strike is precise and fast enough to hit the connection between the stand and the target.

Considering it's a tier 1 immortality, I say it should be at least as strong as lichdom as a rule of thumb. I'd say it stops all forms of death from affecting you, including the soul slaying one from Death Ward (which is already pretty powerful). And yeah, you probably can be decapitated, it's just that you'll just comically shuffle to your head and fix it in place afterwards.

Unless your head teleports back to your neck, what's to stop someone front running off with it or something?

Dunno. I'm only making guesses. Perhaps that's how you defeat a Death Warden; you chop them up and seal their body parts away from each other. That or go with other anon's suggestion of giving them a pair of concrete shoes and going for a swim.
>>
>>52269669
What about a Korperlos then? While Death Ward apparently kills everything, it says they're immune to any and all magic targets spirits (though I assume since it's any and all magic, it doesn't matter whether it targets spirits exclusively or not).
>>
>>52269713
How does ANYONE deal with ghosts when they're not a Liber Animas spiritualist, anon? I mean, at least with ghosts, it seems like you could still harm them with physical attacks, but Greater Ghosts are specifically affected by physical objects.

I'm assuming Reunu Pertemru curses still apply, though, so there's that, with Korperlos' main intention being immunity from Liber Animas ghost controlling spells. You should bring this up with Scientist, anon.
>>
>>52270000
>becoming a ghost in order to be immune to ghost controlling magic
It doesn't seem like all the great of any immortality choice anymore. I guess he's gone to bed or something, maybe another time. It's the "immune to any and all magic" part that I'm interested in.
>>
>>52270080
I mean, ghosts (at least, the greater versions for sure) are immune to physical attacks, so if the Koperlos was immune to all magic attacks too, that essentially means only other ghosts could harm them and other ghosts alone.

Don't even think about what it means "competitively"; just focus on how that'd mean they'd be able to easily beat pretty much all of the listed enemies you can take up for extra points.
>>
>>52270114
>easily beat
Not so easily if you can't touch shit and stuff, since you're a ghost, and since it says earthly barriers (walls, I'm guessing) have no effect on you, so I figure it extends to anything else physical.
>>
>>52270138
I mean, I'm pretty sure the Korperlos counts as a Greater Ghost, much like how a Lesser Lich is a Greater Undead and you can become a full-blown Lich yourself. And Greater Ghosts can choose to interact physically with the world while physical objects are left unable to affect them.
>>
>>52270155
>Lesser Lich
What makes this different from a regular Lich
>>
>>52270209
Smaller magic penis.
>>
>>52270209
I dunno. Guess they're just weaker, I guess? Perhaps, since the very basic requirements for becoming a Lich are 3 tier 4 spells, 3 tier 3 spells, and 2 tier 2 spells before you can get a tier 1 immortality, Lesser Liches know even less spells than that. They had to be raised as Lesser Liches by you, after all.

Going by the description, it says they're a disciple. Perhaps they were even a disciple of yours that you transformed yourself? Since they lacked the ability to achieve lichdom themselves? Just making my own assumptions.
>>
>>52270237
They don't have a boner?
>>
>>52270241
It says it requires ritual suicide, so it seems like they have to do it on their own, but it's not like you can't tell them how to do it. Don't see why that would make them a lesser Lich instead of a regular one though. If it's based on how many spells you know, does that mean greater Liches are a thing?
>>
>>52270270
I assume that you're the "greater Lich" in this scenario.

The requirements to get Lesser Liches are "Create Greater Undead" and "Lichdom". So perhaps, you're the one who enacting the ritual over them to transform them into Lesser Liches? As for why they can't just do it themselves if you tell them how, perhaps you don't tell them so that they'll be subordinate to you? Or perhaps, as Lichdom requires a certain attainment level in necromancy (3 tier 4s, 3 tier 3s, 2 tier 1s, and then learning the tier 1 Lichdom ritual), they just wouldn't be able to do it right at all without meeting those requirements?

Like, even if you tell a random peasant how to cast a fireball, it's not like they'd be able to do it. They'd first have to understand how to unlock their magical power, and then how to use that magic specifically. Like how all necromancers train their spiritual senses to detect ghosts (if they weren't born with the ability to do so)?
>>
>>52270320
Oh shit, I didn't realize you were talking about minions. But I really don't see why you'd need to learn a certain amount of spells to become a Lich. Not talking about the CYOA here.
>Like, even if you tell a random peasant how to cast a fireball, it's not like they'd be able to do it. They'd first have to understand how to unlock their magical power, and then how to use that magic specifically
We're talking about a necromancer's apprentice here, not some random peasant. He knows enough about everything he needs to aside from how to actually become a Lich.
>>
>>52270440
>But I really don't see why you'd need to learn a certain amount of spells to become a Lich.
Well, that's just CYOA mechanics, but if I were to give my own interpretation, perhaps it simply represents your accumulation of knowledge and, hence, your understanding of the principals behind each particular branch of necromancy? Tier 4 and 3 spells to solidify the basis of your knowledge, Tier 2 spells representing your understanding of the more advanced complexities of necromancy?

>We're talking about a necromancer's apprentice here, not some random peasant. He knows enough about everything he needs to aside from how to actually become a Lich.
Yeah, I just used that as an example to make it easier.

To put it into another analogy, the peasants learning fireball spells would be like preschoolers learning, say, 6th grade school level math problems while a necromancer disciple (your disciple?) learning lichdom would be like a grade schooler trying to learn college level math. You'd need to be an accomplished master of necromancy (I assume that's what you are if you can learn tier 1 spells) to understand it.

So creating Lesser Liches is essentially doing their homework for them in this case? That's what I meant in my head.
>>
>>52270507
What if they're very smart preschoolers
>>
>>52270519
Then they better go and become Liches themselves instead of having you do some shoddy work for them!

But yeah, I'm thinking that attaining Lichdom is more effective if you do it yourself?
>>
>>52270527
Well you need to kill yourself and shit, so I don't think there are many ways. I don't see how someone telling you exactly how to do it and then you doing it counts as not doing it by yourself. It's knowing vs doing, and you don't need to figure out the former by yourself, just do the latter.
>>
>>52270552
I mean, it's like knowing exactly how to hit a golf ball to get a hole in one, but that's different from actually being able to perform it, you know? Can you control your body to move in the exact same manner as the layout in your head?

Likewise, I'm thinking magic has got to be more than just knowing how to do the ritual/incantation, as you gotta know how to manipulate the magic too, right? Like, uh, those Harry Potter movies where that one kid in the first movie had his wand explode while trying to cast a levitation spell or that other guy who got his nutsuck smacked while trying to get his broomstick to go up. Or Harry trying to cast a patronus charm? Casting magic is just like flexing a muscle, perhaps?
