Dark on dark is not good design. While I can read it, it isn't as easily read as a lighter colour.
Contrast assists in legibility, so perhaps change that.

You may also feel free to go up to 1200-14000px wide, it does seem cramped.

I've pretty much finished the v3 of the Necromancer CYOA

One or two more days for final revisions, proofreading, and last-minute fixes from said revisions and proofreading and it should be ready to post.

I recommend white text. It's readable in its current form, but it would be easier with white text. It also gives you room for color-coding certain options in the CYOA if you want to. If the normal text is white, color-coded options will stand out more.

Due to the limited crew size, I ultimately opted out of navigator and cook, the idea is that we work primarily as coastal defense vanguard of the Albion Navy. We come in fast, hit faster to cripple pirates and mastari ships with chainshot and bombs in a quick strafe, then let bigger navy ships sweep up.

As for why a navy ship has Mastari sails, well, my girl's a bit of an experiment after the Navy took out the masts of Mastari ship before it could drop canvas, allowing the navy to salvage it intact and work on reverse engineering it.

It's a tight and strong crew, and our tactic is honestly suicidal, but it's working.

The plan is to explore the west, north and east for other signs of the fallen empire while inviting the learned men and imperial hostages to contemplate what we find. Going to war with my blood enemy seems inevitable so th best case scenario that I will aim for is a one on one fight to the death thereby avoiding destroying assets I can use and cementing my reputation in traditionalist circles.

The fortified marches will be conquered by megafauna driven seige engines designed by the engineer and built with eastern wood. One a few are toppled my intimidation should make convincing others to surrender easy. The wall calls for more finesse. The megafauna shambling in the distance will serve as a distraction while swift horsemen disrupt communications and scale walls. While the decoys set up portable ramps (that also serve as plan B) the infiltrators open the gates.

When confronting the Great Beast and Polymath I rely on my track record of avoiding collateral damage, diverse council, knnowledge of the fire army, the decoded stele and imperial seal to convince them to join (or at least not oppose) my cause.

I'm uncertain if it's alright to ask this in this thread in particular (or even post the pdf), but I've got a question for the author of the Exxxalted version of the SL CYOA. Already asked in the /d/ thread, but was pointed here.

Any one know if I could use one of the Incarnae (namely Venus) as the source of the spell that transforms me? I had an idea about Venus going all "according to keikaku" in one of her latest moves during the Games of Divinity and I was one of the results of that move.

Too lazy to make the build but it seems to me that a combination of beauty+charisma+luck is the easiest path.

You basically complete all the T1 quests in a year or so and pump the boons into beauty+charisma+luck. Then you become a model or instagram/youtub celeb and use your fame and money to complete several other quests, like building a church, spreading her religion, etc. You might even find yourself in the position to kick that ass Kayne West.

Only problem is that assuming you go for Demigod, you'll end up a hyper lucky, beautiful, charismatic beast with barely any "practical" stuff like regen, strength, etc.

At the very least it's safer than the other most coherent route: the action one where you hunt the supernatural, stop cultists, etc. and pump your boons into strength+speed+toughness and stuff.

Just realized I took four armor etches. I'll forfeit the Courageous Light armour etch. Given I have an extra point now, I suppose I'd either take Smite or Light Ray. Light Ray would be a form of elemental attack I do not have, but Smite would be an element that I do have, but an angled from above, rather than from my hand, which I lack in for energy attacks. My only current attack, that doesn't have to originate from my hand, is from Inertia, which is great, but it is physical. Having an energy attack that doesn't come from a part of my body, but from the sky, is likely a very useful tool.

As such I'll have to settle on Smite.

The Five Faced Flame's reputation was hurt by this early act of destructive defiance, and hasn't truly recovered. And you'd be surprised at how useful Fals can be as an ally, especially with that Synergism.

The first face of False is the Maiden, and she's an excellent conversationalist. She's a friend you can tell anything to, and will work hard to raise people's spirits.

The second face is the Lover, and while union with her will never be fruitful, it does bless the partner with greatly enhanced virility.

The third face is the Midwife. Her ministrations greatly enhance the health of growing life, and allow the mother to bear the burden in safety and comfort.

The fourth face of Fals is, oddly, the Mother. Not a literal mother, but an adoptive nurturer. If the Maiden is the comfort of a peer, the Mother is a more maternal counterpart to that.

The fifth and final face of Fals is the Pyre. She represents change, both violent and primal. She is ends, and new beginnings.

Definitely a interesting Goddess for a fantasy setting! The aspect of the Maiden and Mother sounds like she'd be interested in interacting with mortals and their fates. And the Pyre sounds like she'd be interested in fates of kingdoms and things to.

Once the dragons hatch, they're taken to their keepers and no longer attached to me. If you include them in your rebellious shenanigans, it has little affect on me except for the exciting stories and reports I here later.

Most of the lower tier tasks are things I would/should do anyway and if I can invest these early boons sensibly I have a better chance of tackling tier 3 and higher. To deal with the Action quests I first take health, hopefully this applies to the mind and that my chronic laziness counts as an illness. If not charisma implies the social intelligence to detect those nefarious cultists and lucky gives an edge. The sooner I get strength, toughness, speed and flight combo is the sooner I can produce daft Superman fan movies and thwart baddies (though, as always, the real criminals are so successful that they write the laws). If nothing else my ultimately benevolent goals should give me some leeway in carrying out/promising to try again the tasks. My only real worry is racing to get enough easy boons to protect the two of us from monsters/cultists/fallout from kicking Kayne West in the balls.

And there we go! The sprawling prison within my pocket dimension starts out 'normal' enough as a magical jail, but the deeper you go the more demonic and infested it gets. Prisoners go in and either never come out, or become well trained sex slaves tailored to fit a wide range of tastes and customers. I'll be living it up. chatting with Naidra while learning magic and enjoying my assistant and the perks of my position, safe in the knowledge that between the upgrades to the prison and myself, and the type of prisoner I have, I am virtually unassailable.
