Like designating a "theme" for example. All the prisoners would have to RP according to the "theme" and would get punished if they break immersion. Like if you pick a "school" theme, all prisoners would have to act like typical high schoolers and pretend they're in high school or get punished.

To me, this is illogical in any situation that doesn't involve someone having their consciousness plugged into a simulation. In such a case, the time wizard will still need to find a way outside of time magic for that to be an option. You still need to be more realistic in your goals though, things don't naturally turn into dust just because a lot of time passed. They become dust because of outside, physical forces acting upon them. Wind, pressure, anything that could cause it to dry out/harden and then erode.

The only possible way I could see a time wizard killing someone who's got eternal youth is if they don't have true immortality with it. As in, they'll still die if you starve them, suffocate them, bash their head in, throw them off a cliff, poison them, etc. In which case, accelerating the effects of time on their body so they experience the demands of two months compressed into a single second would still result in their death, as they'd likely lack enough fat and muscle for their body to cannibalize in order to meet the basic caloric needs for their brain, heart, etc. to remain functioning.

Or, to oversimplify it, you'd burn all the fuel in their tank until there's nothing left. But if you're able to control time to that extent, they'd die from suffocation first. Six minutes without oxygen is enough to cause permanent brain damage, throwing an hour's demand for resources onto a body in less than a second would guarantee death. Again, this wouldn't be a function of age causing their demise, but a denial of vital resources.

Let's say the NEET got his shit together and stopped disappointing his family before they died. Actually made them proud for the first time since they were in school.

Eventually, everyone they form any sort of bond with will die. Imagine, you have to watch all of your friends, your family, your lovers, even just your acquaintances grow old and die while you live on, unchanged. Humans are social creatures, so you'll still be driven to form new bonds. Make new friends, maybe settle down and have a new family. The same thing will happen, they'll all die, while you live on.

Over time, you'll withdraw. Even if you keep working, mentally you'll revert to your time as a NEET, maybe even growing worse than before. You'll be wary of forming new relationships. You'll fear the inevitable pain that comes from them. Fast forward a bit. Your loneliness and depression have grown, but there's nothing you can even do about it. You've seen enough mortal lives come and go that life itself is banal. Ennui becomes all you know, even if you attempt to manipulate mortals, nothing surprises you. No matter if you're playing with individuals or nations, they're all effectively puppets dancing on your palm. They never had a chance, how could they? You're older than any of their nations. Their only salvation is the novelty of poking and prodding them, mostly metaphorically, has worn off millennia ago. You miss how things used to be, back in your "first life." Back when you had your original friends and family, and gained the curse of being eternal. All the forms of escapism offered to you don't help anymore, you've tried it all. Games, books, movies, drugs of all kinds - you're just going through the motions. If NEETs became immortal then it wouldn't turn out that way at all. If a single person did, sure, but if a group of people did then they could rely on one another to cover their basic needs for socialization. They actually could form lasting bonds that way. Through their eternal ties to one another, allowing for deeper connections of friendship and love, they could even form healthy bonds with mortals. It'd still hurt when they die, but mortal acquaintances could turn into friends, and I imagine they'd be seen as something similar to pets. In the sense that many animals people keep as pets live relatively short lifespans. Dogs do amazingly well on average to live for 14 years, some smaller animals live for less than four, but people still form loving bonds with them all the same.

You can't rely on the short lived pet-like relationships to maintain your mental health and happiness though. How many crazy cat ladies have you seen that seemed to be truly happy?

What I would truly fear from immortality is eventual obsolescence. Even if humanity doesn't kill it's self, it will eventually change so much that it can no longer be called humanity. While this will be novel and interesting at first, and you could even shape the course it takes with the long reach of your influence, you will at some point matter so little to whatever this post humanity is that you may as well not exist. At best, you are the equivalent of a museum piece.
