Yeah, it's normal that you start with Death or Order (they are cheap) then go with Ironjawz or Claws only to finally run a Nurgle army

Just finishen my bestigors, What do you think? I am not a pro painter, and I wanted them to be atleast table top standard

I was going to start with a Nurgle Army because the battlebox looked simple and kinda cool.

Nurgle Start Collecting has 500 points of models so you can pick two and run a 1000 pts legal list. They are idiot-proof, newbie friendly and have easy to manage synergy. If you like their lore, models and shit then you should grab at least one Start Collecting to have fun with painting minis and run small games

Well i mostly want them for 40k but there was some guys playing Age of Sigmar in the store the other day and i do know someone with some old skaven.

Then you should definitely pick them if you want to kill two birds with one stone m8. Also you can always use some nurgle mortals models in 40k - I know a guy using ironjawz models in 40k

The Nurgle SC is also just enough to field a small allied detachment in 40k if you have some other chaos 40k stuff then I would say go for it, and have fun in both games

I'm running a 500 pt per person free for all/allies/intro games. Was planning on just using the GBH Multiplayer rules + Points but not battlefield roles.

Anyone have some good tips? 4x4 table, with some scenery (Garden of Morr+Citadel wood+Homemade tower and barn)/

Put on the highlights in quick streaks, use the side of your brush whenever possible, don't overdo it: save the brightest paint for the sharp tips.

If I get a start collecting ironjawz, a megaboss, and 2 squads of brutes this comes to nearly 1k points according to scrollbuilder, if I run this to play casually at my local gw will I get stomped all the time or do I have a decent chance? I just love the big armoured orcs and there's not too many of them that I'll get burnt out with painting!

Which is better? Necropolis Knights or Sepulchral Stalkers? They both look cool as fuck but which one is better to actually use in your army?
>>
>>52106877
There isn't a competitive scene at all here, the store has a heap of tables upstairs and opens late every Thursday, it's got a big range of all players and I have used a borrowed flesh eater army and played 4 games, 2 of which I won! It was really fun to be honest
>>
>>52106908
Necropolis Knights are the best unit in the game
>>
>>52106856
You have a legit 1000 list with ironfist battalion

Allegiance: Destruction

Orruk Warchanter (80)

- Pair of Brute Choppas
5 x Orruk Brutes (180)
- Pair of Brute Choppas
3 x Orruk Gore Gruntas (180)
- Pig Iron Choppas

Battalions
Ironfist (60)

If you want more big orcs to paint then look for blood bowl league at your area
>>
>>52106921

Played death and want an army of great green hooligans? I can totally identify with it.

Ironjawz do fairly well in casual, though as a recommendation you should always run your army in an ironfist batallion (basically it covers up your lack of speed), sometimes a weirdfist if you want to buy a shaman. If you do that you're golden.
>>
>>52106968
What's the pros and cons of using them over Sepulchral Stalkers? SS burrowing ability seems super useful
>>
>>52107007
Oh wow they look really really nice! That is the absolute perfect aesthetic for orcs I think
>>
>>52106978
This is exactly all the units I have so that'll be perfect, I'll run this when I finish painting all my guys thank you! Handy that I built them all with the 2 weapons cus they look cooler I thought
>>
>>52107015
I had a terrorghiest with a ghoul king on top, 2 units of horrors and 3 units of ghouls, with a varghulf, everything died so easily, the ghouls died to a stiff breeze the horrors lived a bit more but not much at all really! These ironjawz just look so cool especially the brutes
>>
>>52107023
Necropolis Knights do insane damage and ressurect models every turn

Settra is +1 hit and +1 wound
Settra also gives them double movement + flying
Necrotect gives them an extra 3" move (6" after it gets doubled with settras ability)
Liche Priest spell makes them generate attacks on hit6+
Necromancer spell makes them pile in and attack twice

The end result is:
Move 22" and a guaranteed 6" charge
Hit on 2+, generate attacks on 4+
Wound on 2+, reroll wound 1
Both attacks are Rend-1
Bite attack causes mortal wounds on wound5+ and does D3 damage
Pile in and attack twice with a 2" reach on every weapon

A squad of 6 Necropolis Knights can fly across the board on turn 1 and murder everything in their path. You cripple your opponent past the point of no return. 9 NK can destroy an entire 2000 point army.

If they somehow manage to kill some NK you ressurect 3 models per turn (1 from icon, 1 from Tomb Herald, 1 from Death Wizard spell)
>>
>>52107060
>Handy that I built them all with the 2 weapons cus they look cooler I thought
Well I'm not sure what weapons should your orruks grab - I just posted this list with deflaut setting in warscroll builder. You should wait for more experienced anon to recommend you a good build for each unit I think
>>
>>52107060
Remember to give your brute bosses the klaw+smasha
>>
>>52107105
I would have built them with 2 weapons regardless I think, I read fury of gork and gordrak states that 2 weapons are chopper than one, which makes great sense ork wise!
>>52107127
Each squad of 5 has one guy with the greatsword, and one guy with a klaw again cus they looked super cool!
>>
>>52106504
FW daemon prince of nurgle if it ever gets back in stock
>>
>>52107162
Well, that's cool you build a fluffy army and have fun. Remember to use a proper names of the weapons (greatsword is a Gore-choppa) so other Anons could help you with your lists and armies.
As you can see it's important to give your brute bosses a klaw and smasha so they can use their extra ability. I hope you managed to download all important warscrolls from GW site or you downloaded AoS APP - they are extra useful for you
>>
>>52107088

>>
>>52107277
>>52107303
Yes the NK are the reason that 4 of the top 8 lists from the masters tournament were tomb kings

Anyone saying Death is bad is a fucking retard, Death is objectively the strongest right now
>>
>>52107320
So how do you fight against them, tarpitting? Sounds kinda hard though against flying enemies.
>>
>>52107251
I have the app on my phone and got all the scrolls off there and its really handy, especially now cus it has point on it! I have the iron fist battalion but can It be used to with destruction abilities for 2d6 moment? Cus that's pretty crazy with a normal move also
>>
>>52107351

Hitting them with the nerf bat. The next GHB II is going hard on them apparently.
>>

>>
>>52107732
Is that not a lot of armies though? There's not much answer go shooting at all
>>
>>52107794
some armies are fast or have special movement/deployment options, or shooting of their own

khorne mortals have none of these, needing to rely on support from Slaves to Darkness.
>>
>>52107794
khorne is the worst at everything

>a pure melee army that has low rend
>prayers are unreliable mortal wound output
>best units are slow as shit
>no shooting
>no spells
>no mobility abilities like teleporting, run+charge

every other faction is better
>>
>>52107818
So they are literally just slow moving with good melee lacking any sort of tricks, it's a shame cus they have really nice models
>>
>>52107858
That's a very concise list of why they are bad, hopefully this changes cus the models are very nice, they could use some love similar to what stormcast are getting
>>
>>52107858
Do people really use the Blood Boil most of the time? Blood Bind seems better at a first reading.
>>
>>52107888
It wouldnt be hard to fix khorne, honestly

Release a Disciples of Khorne battletome that has demons and mortals together in a single KHORNE allegiance

Battle trait:
Khorne units can run and charge, but cannot retreat

Artifacts for mortals:
Enemy units have -2 to hit in the shooting phase against this model
Ignore mortal wounds on 4+

New prayers:
Set up a Khorne Daemon unit within 16", more than 9" away from an enemy
All Khorne units within 12" of the priest that take a battleshock test can choose to automatically roll a 1 instead of rolling normally
Deal D3 mortal wounds to an enemy unit within 16" and heal D3 wounds from a friendly unit within 8"

Bam, problems solved

I was curious what people think about the balance of the game.

Do you think the game is well balanced?

What methods are used to balance the game?

Are their good examples of things that aren't balanced?

What does "balance" mean to you?

if you had your way, how would you go about making the game balanced?

This is why we AoS players will never be on the same level as our glorious 9th age superiors, We simply fail to grasp the tactical depth and joyfull gameplay of two fiscally managed armies clashing together on a blank table of absolute balance.

We just have to make do with our scrub level fun while the true masters of games enjor their bulimic number crunching.

Sad times.

Follow up question, anyone have any suggestions on a paint scheme for the FW Chaos Dwarfs?

Not sure how to make them stand out really.
>>
>>52109421
Another 2 weeks of 40k at least.

This weekend is preorders for some of the BoP kits
Next weekend opens preorders for custodes and SoS kits. Probably another 40k thing after that.
So we probably likely won't see preorders for our dorfs until the first of april

This month will probably be the last 40k focus for a little while, since Gathering Storm is ending. April and on will most likely give AoS the primary spotlight.
>>
>>52109508
White undercoat.Agrax earthshade wash all over. Then bleached bone(or closest in the new range) then a highlight of pure white.

Iron I'd do a basecoat of black, Then leadbelcher mixed with black, then nuln oil, then a cheerleader highlight.

Gold I'd use Vallejo old gold on top of something like tin bitz, with a wash of reikland and a final highlight of old gold again.

(If it isn't obvious i use a bit of a mish mash of paint. I'm only saying leadbelcher cus i know it's meant to replace boltgun metal, But Really I'm still using boltgun.)
>>

Do a very light drybrush to use as a guide, then layer it on normally. It ends up looking a bit neater.

It takes longer, but I personally think it is worth the extra effort if you don't like how drybrushing looks.

Although I am aware there are people who don't mind how drybrushing looks, I find it is a matter of preference. I have seen some Dryads that many people like that I think look horrible because they are clearly drybrushed, and then I have seen some Dryads that were painted almost entirely with washes over a basecoat that I thought looked really good, that others thought looked horrible.

Anyone have any ideas for medium-short ranged infantry rats that wouldn't be op?

Would this make an okay set to demo AOS for a friend?

Dwarfs

Dwarf Thane

Dwarf Dragon Slayer

12 Dwarf Warriors

10 Dwarf Thunderers

8 Dwarf Miners

1 Dwarf Cannon with crew

Night Goblins

Night Goblin Boss

Night Goblin Shaman

40 Night Goblin Spearmen

20 Night Goblin Archers

10 Forest Goblin Spider Riders

1 Troll

Is it balanced at all? How would you change it? It's the only built warhammer stuff I have atm.
>>
>>52115589
Ok give me a minute to compile that into a list for you. It's going to be pretty much order vs destruction
>>
>>52115589
Allegiance: Order (duardin, or dwarfs)

Leaders
Warden King (120) (thane)
Unforged (100) (dragon slayer)

Battleline
10 x Dwarf Warriors (100)
- Axe or Hammer

Units
10 x Thunderers (120)
- None
10 x Miners (120)

War Machines
Cannon (180)

Total: 740pts

Allegiance: Destruction (moonclan grots, or night goblins)

Leaders
Grot Warboss (80)
Moonclan Grot Shaman (60)

Battleline
40 x Moonclan Grots (240)
- Pokin Spears & Moon Shields
20 x Moonclan Grots (120)
- Bows & Slittas
10 x Grot Spider Riders (200)

Total: 700pts

So it's pretty damn close, should be a close game with the contents of the box only. I did not include the troggoth (troll) because they are only bought in units of 3 for 200 points, but just including 1 troll should get you pretty close to his points. Seems like you 2 should have a fun game.
>>
>>52115589

I'm just gonna write up those lists for you in GHB terms and then I'll give some comments

Dorfs

Allegiance: Order

Leaders

- None
10 x Miners (120)

War Machines
Cannon (180)

Total: 740 points

Allegiance: Destruction

Moonclan Grot Shaman (60)

Battleline
20 x Moonclan Grots (120)

I basically used the spare Disc base, a clear flying stand, and some bits from the Screamers, Chariot disc, and elsewhere, and basically made a custom Disc for my Herald

You don't want to double up on the same kind of herald as each kind of Herald knows a different spell

I don't like splitting up the Burning Chariot because a full Burning chariot gets a ton of cool shit over an Exalted Flamer for a small price bump

We'll be starting a Hinterlands campaign in a couple of weeks at the local club, after I found the rules a few days ago and sent them around the club. There's been a fair bit of buzz around AoS lately, at we all like our skirmish games, so I think it's going to get a good takeup.

We've been talking a little about what the best way to build a warband might be, whether it's spamming chumps, small bands of elites, taking a hero or not, etc etc. I had a pretty solid theme for mine of a Knight Questor and his companions travelling across the realms, so I'll be starting with:

Knight Questor - 50gc
Liberator w/ hammer and shield - 20gc
Liberator w/ hammer and shield - 20gc
Judicator w/ skybolt bow - 32gc
Vanguard Hunter - 28gc

I suspect 5 models is too few, especially since I know one person is taking something like a single Blood Warrior, a Khorgorath, and the rest of his warband in 6gc Bloodreavers, but I suppose we'll see.
>>
>>52117479
You're right about that. IT's also a bit "dangerous" to do many thinned coats since that might end up looking thick

but i think it's mainly the uneven surfacing and the fact that the paints are a bit 'flat' that make sit look odd at the moment. BUT I definitely like the scheme! keep it up!
>>
>>52117479
When you layer on some paint, wipe your brush onto a pallette or something and thrn wipe off excess paint where you painted, then if it hasnt fully covered go over it again to even it, without caking it on
>>
I'm seriously considering taking 1d4chan's advice and running the following for the lulz, mostly since it's 11 dudes and I've wanted to start a Vampire army of some kind since... long, long ago. The Blood Knights would just be converted Aelf Dragon Blades.

>>
>>52118627
Good fun if you are into it, hit and run and keep your units healing and since youll be out numbered on objectives maybe split up opponents using your movement or take out buffing heros if you can.

Unsupported you can wipe out mass troops pretty easily.
>>
>>52118627
Or you can go with what I do for 1k,
It's Vamp on horse - 140
5 blood knights - 260
5 blood knights - 260
320 for a terrorgheist summon, or 2x3 vargheists.

The point of the primer is to provide a smooth base from which to ADD paint. And resin isn't as smooth a material as the plastic- so all those imperfections are really stark if the only layer of paint on there is your primer.

I do appreciate him for checking, because sometimes fluff can get weird and just wont fit the setting, even a setting as broad and varied as this.

A good example would be someone who wanted to do a company of stormcast eternals corrupted and fighting for the chaos gods. This does not happen. And it would be stupid for someone to deem "well im the first!" like some shitty mary sue fanfiction.

>How triggered would
>a beastmen horde led by a female great shaman & beastlord mate
seems to have merit. nowhere is it said there are no female beastmen. and commonly in savage cultures, females are seen to have soothsayer-like powers like witches. for one to be mated with a beastlord provides a lot of credence to her portents and auguries. i think its a cool idea
>that live in the ruins of a human keep make /tg/?
in old warhammer fluff this may be a little unusual, because the beastmen realm is the forests. at most they would go into a city, burn it or destory it, then move back into the forests. But in AoS the forests are not part of the beastmen anymore, but destroying civilizations of order still are. So i can totally see them taking up residence in city ruins

I am more interested to know why you think this would trigger anyone.
>>
>>52125324
You'd be surprised. I am on the AoS Fans facebook page, and often it's cool seeing other's works and a good helpful community there, but some of it is super cringeworthy in terms of 'your dudes' fluff. Skeleton Hoard supported by Necromancers.

Spears start off at 1 5/4 attack with a 2 inch range.
If you use them in a unit of 20, they get one more attack, then they get ANOTHER attack in a unit of 30. That is 90 attacks from 30 skeletons, and the 2 inch range makes it easier for them to get into attack range.
We will run them in a unit of 40 so we can keep the buffs for a bit longer, so that is a potential 120 attacks, although unless the enemy unit is fairly large, you will struggle to get ALL of them in range, since we can only go 3 ranks deep and keep in range.
If they are within 18 inches of a Death Hero (and you will have a few, some skeletons, some necromancers), then they get +1 to hit, so we are already at 120 (realistically 90) 4/4 2 inch attacks before our heroes started doing anything.
The unit also revives D6 skeletons per turn.

Now, our general is going to be a Wight King. His command ability gives every skeleton within 18 inch range another attack. So our unit of 40 Skeleton Spearmen now have a potential of 160 (realistically 120) attacks.
If you have a Wight King with an infernal standard, then he will be able to give your skeletons an ability to ignore a wound on a roll of a 6 on a dice, further keeping the bonezone open for all comers.

Now our Necromancer comes in. Every turn he can cast his spell, that lets the effected unit pile in and attack twice every turn.
That means your giant hoard of skeletons has the potential to unleash 320 (realistically 240) 4/4 attacks per turn.

All for 680 points, assuming you don't want your General to be the Infernal Standard bearer, so you have two wight kings.
Only the necromancers buff is specific to one unit as well. The other two Wight King buffs effect every deathrattle unit in range, meaning you can take a whole bunch of large units of skeletons if you are a special kind of fucked up.

You don't want a smooth prime, you need granularity to make the paint grip. You shouldn't be spraying until the whole model is covered, just a few quick light coats that leaves something for the paint to grab onto. You're right about him not wanting to prime with gold paint. I'd recommend Tamiya surface primer. If you need reference check out some of the painters on 'Eavier Metal on Face book

How do you beat a Stardrake and 4 Castellants?
>>
>>52128613
I was trying to keep it to currently available models since most fleshbags aren't prepared for the BONEZONE
>>
>>52127703
They are actually pretty good. I roll with them. Their weekends is their speed, but combined with ironweld arsenal they can kick some ass.

Hammerers hit like a truck in combat
Irondrakes are devastating when they stand still
Longbeards can take great weapons and shields so they're tanky, have some decent damage, and buff other stuff all for a battleline choice
You send ironbreakers at something that you don't want to have to deal with for the rest of the game
Runelord is decent anti magic and makes your hard hitters. Hit harder
Warden king is generally underestimated, but when he has a great weapon and relic blade, people generally regret ignoring him when his Target is grudged
Cannon and organ gun buffed by an engineer makes any opponent nervous
>>
>>52129281
By telling your opponent to stop being a douchebag.
>>
>>52127703
They aren't bad, they are just overpriced.

They have a lot of good synergy with each other though. The melee troops are durable (especially the ironbreakers), and their ranged units are capable of doing a lot of damage. With support from a Runelord and Warden King, your Irondrakers or Hammerers should be able to effectively erase an enemy unit of your choice from existence every turn.
>>
>>52129281

Stardrake can only engage so many things, just go around it.

Do the same thing with fulminators and its a different story.
>>
>>52119221
>>52119496

Thank you both. I forgot to turn on autoupdate so I didn't see this until now. I think I'll probably try out proxying both lists with a friend before I get the models. I hadn't really considered how outnumbered I'll be re: objectives, that second list actually sounds pretty cool too.

What do you see as the most appropriate part to measure to when determining range? I usually go for body-to-body, but I've seen people measure to whatever's closest.

It doesn't really matter, so long as both players are doing the same thing, but I'm just curious on what the most common technique is.
>>
>>52130027
Most common technique is measuring from base to base, as that is what Warhammer Fantasy used, and it is what the Matched Play rules tell you to use.
>>
>>52130059
>it is what the Matched Play rules inform you that you can use

They're supposed to be less dick-ish. Still dicks, like all Beastmen, but feminine in their qualities. Most of what we know about them relates to the fact that they're the ones who take the disgusting mutant babies that are left in the forest, and raise them as their own. There's one in a book but I forget which book and she's only there for like a paragraph (taking a baby). I see no reason one couldn't be a great shaman, especially if dedicated to one specific god.
>Nurgle
She's nurturing disease and death (out of love), by spreading plagues among the non-mutated and sheltering the disfigured survivors. 10/10 would Nurgle again
>Slaanesh
No comment. But more seriously, she could be focusing on the perfection of the beastmen, unlike her fellows who despise their abhorrent bodies.
>Tzeentch
She plotted to use the Chaos gods to institute a plot wherein some plots happen and after much plotting, many plots come to fruition in some other plots (involving the young she rescued over the last decade) and finally 1,000 plots result in her receiving the favour of Tzeentch.
>Khorne
He doesn't like sorcerers but a shaman isn't really a sorcerer. Bitch be cray cray

>>
>>52129948

I actually like it, anon. I think you could improve the shoulders and shield a bit but I'm sure it will come along as you get a few more done and experiment with the patina a bit more. I'd recommend looking at old cars with patinas on them on google images to see if that gives you any ideas. Best of luck, it's cool to see someone doing spooky angry bull dwarves in an unusual scheme!

Little poll for you, Anons. Interested to see the results.

"Furry" here refers to the internet subculture, not actual fur content.
>>
>>52130027
I go base to base until combat is locked, then if its appropriate or for large models, weapon to model etc
>>
>>52130915
Yeah fuck your little poll. I don't see any of them as 'furry'. I'm not a furfag, and warhammer races don't resemble furry at all. Beastmen are an abomination of man and chaos mutation. Skaven are grotesque rat mutants hellbent on deastroying themselves as much as anyone else. Seraphon are completely reptilian and alien to anything we can try to relate to. They are more aliens than a furry race. Tzeentch arcanites, i assume you are referring to tzaangors, would be like beastmen, a cruel abomination of chaos.

None of the above resembles furry culture. I refuse to vote.

How do you make an army in this game? I literally cant figure it out
>>

Read the generals handbook. There's more to it than the points pages, you know. It's all explained there. It's how we learned.
>>
>>52131036
GHB. Matched play section. Read it. It's in the OP links. If you're still confused after that, come back with more specific questions

Dear /aosg/,

The two armies I'm interested in are Vampire Counts (Soulblight + Deathrattle) and a combined Slaves to Darkness/Hosts of Slaanesh sort of thing. However, I've seen memes about Slaanesh getting squatted and Death never getting updates and being shit on the tabletop. Please have mercy upon my retarded newfag soul and explain to me whether I'm being memed upon or whether there's any merit to these rumors. I don't really care much about winning but my 40k army is one of the weakest codexes and I'd rather have a semi-competent force where I might occasionally win. Plus fuck getting squatted.

tl;dr if I pick Slaanesh or spoopy skeleton vampires to start off with, am I in for a bad time?
>>
>>52131042
>>52131069
Ok so now how do I know what any guys do? I dont get it
>>
>>52131239

Slaanesh rather than being squatted is probably getting its own release wave when aelves get there's.

Death is supposedly getting a new release this year but haven't gotten much besides flesh eater courts. What they currently have is pretty good though, completely viable
>>
>>52131286
All the units are free, on their unit page on the GW site.

Or you can buy a battletome for your army or allegiance.
>>
>>52131286
What army do you want to play/are you interested in?
>>
>>52131342
>>52131372
Ive read the rule book and now the generals handbook and I still have no clue as to what any units do in this game.
I cant pick a team because nothing in those books told me anything about them or how they play lol. Most jumbled pile ive ever seen in all my days
>>
>>52131372
I play ironjawz. When I first got into sigmar I bought a mish mash of high elves. So i'm waiting to see where they go. I have two bolt throwings, a dragon lord/dragonmage with reavers and cavalry.

I'm interested in Vampire Counts and I'm interested in Slaanesh.
>>
>>52131430
>>52131438

Go to the GW store page.

Look at the units you have on there, and you'll see their rules.
>>
>>52131430
How about looking at their warscrolls. Go to the gamesworkshop website, go to Age of Sigmar, and look at what any of the units do. It's literally free. Or you can download the app, and do the same thing from your phone.
>>
>>52131438

Thank you, anon, that is encouraging.

>>52131336

>I'm interested in Vampire Counts and I'm
interested in Slaanesh.

>>
>>52131239
Pretty much everything can be viable at the moment, some stuff out there can combo buffs etc to a serious level and can be hard to trump. So if you can deal with some of the harder combos out there thatl be fine. Just play what you want.
>>
>>52131529

Fuck, switch the reply links around. I got it backwards somehow.
>>
>>52131502
>>52131501
Loads of units that are listed in the generals handbook arent for sale online? How do I see what those do? Are those in the app
>>
>>52131430
Check out the pitched battle scenarios in matched play ghb section. That will give you an idea of what your units will be doing on the tabletop when you check their stats/profile.
>>
>>52131551
They're in https://www.games-workshop.com/en-GB/Warhammer-Age-of-Sigmar-Rules
>>
When will death get some models availible for purchase that dont look like absolute dog shit? Wheres all the wraiths and shit ffs
>>
>>52131582
Yay thats what I wanted ty
So if I wanted to play tomb kings I literally cant unless I buy off ebay or something?
>>
>>52131648

Yes, also please make sure to email GW and say "hey guys, just bought $500 worth of ebay Tomb Kings, you could have had that money but you squatted them. So I will literally NEVER EVER spend a single dollar on your shit first-party. Eat a dick. Gonna go buy some Vallejo paints now you fucking squatter-assholes"

So, how does the Wight King Infernal Standard work when taking into account the Death Allegiance Ability? Does a Wight King end up providing two extra saves, does it stack, or do you only get one?

So I need some clarification. From a gameplay perspective...
>Greenskinz=Regular old boyz
>Ironjawz=Ded 'ard (and slow) boyz
>Bonesplitterz=Fragile and fast boyz
Is that about right?
>>
>>52132829
>Crypt Ghast Courtier and one unit of Crypt Horrors count as battleline if I wield an army with the FEC tag
>Ghouls
>>
>>52133139
Worded that they stack, I think from memory one is for wounds the other is for slain?
>>
Sorry lads, I'm sure this question has been asked a thousand times but what should I buy in addition to Spire of Dawn to have a decent skaven army.

I have this strange desire to paint tons of little rat-men. I have the SoD box and another 40 clanrats off ebay, but I've never played Skaven before.
>>
>>52133265
Not in regards to the bonesplitterz. They are harder thn regular boys, having two wounds and a secondary save, but not that much faster.
>>
>>52134608
That depends. An Arch Warlock is never a bad idea. And Stormfiends are super good (Especially if you give the entire unit warpfire projectors through spending a lot of money or convertin).

The jezzails are good too.
>>
>>52134608
Grab a Warplighting Cannon. It will never steer you wrong.
>>
>>52134746
I'm looking for around 2000pts as it's a game-size I'm fairly used to. I could convert the Warlock Engineer into a Arch Warlock so that's covered by the box. Is one unit of Stormfiends enough?

>>52134764
Okay, will do. Is it worth taking that as well as the jezzails recommended by another anon or is one or the other better?
>>
>>52134776
Can't hurt having both. Both provide long-ranged whammies, which you'll need anyway.
>>
>>52134776
the arch warlock can be converted from the normal warlock, just takes a bit of finageling to get that flamethrower claw.

I'm uncertain on the ammount of units of stormfiends you'd want, But 2-3 units with warpfireprojectors will definitely be strong, if not too strong depending on your local meta.
>>
>>52135002
Also; running one arch-warlock and one normal warlock isn't a bad idea for 2k
