Judging by the contents of the fluff portion of Rise of The Primarch, we'll probably be getting an Armageddon campaign supplement at some point. In it, they will most likely They'll update Orks, who definitely need it.

On the Imperium side of things, I am hopeful that we get some Black Templar content, such as a formation that suits the playstyle and doesn't require the purchase of $120 worth of non-Templar models, and perhaps a new Grimaldus model and a upgrade pack.

Of course, the more likely scenario is that the Templars will succumb to the Worf effect and be killed off to demonstrate how strong the Orks/Chaos/whatever is (I mention Chaos because RoTP mentions Armageddon being affected by Chaos and Malefic phenomena).

I got an emp's fist, two infantry platoons with lots of autocannons and a priest each, two mounted veterans and a mounted ccs with the usual accompaniment of special weapons. I can tailor vehicle and infantry weapons but I'm not tailoring the whole army for one guy. Is their any way I can stop him, or should I just say

I think you can do it. If you spread your guys out nicely, none of the drop pod meltas can reach your tanks. Another thing you can do is use a 10 man squad not in a blob and use it as a buffer. He'll shoot it thinking it might be part of the blob only to shoot and assault a throw away unit.

What tanks are you bringing? I really like Exterminators with Multi-Meltas and a Lascannon. Battle Tanks are good against Skyhammer lists because of all the small units. Armored Sentinels are also pretty good because they can tarpit squads or use a Plasma Cannon to delete them.

Like I said, the tank weapons can be mix and mached. But my current form is double vanquisher (emp's fist makes this decent under a commander), exterminator with hbs, erAdicator with hbs, and a battle tank.

Meltas I can handle, because the emp's fist lets me reroll damage and 14/13 armor is quite melta resistant when hidden behind infantry. But he uses grav so it doesn't matter. 2 hits kill a tank thanks to the immobilization rule.

You know, I was actually excited for 8th edition; but, these rumors have killed all my excitement.

I wanted to see the rules be streamlined, but this "AoS NewMarines" rumor I keep seeing, and the prospect of the existing SM chapters being put to the side in favor of this new army makes me nervous.

I'm not saying that I completely believe the rumors, but given how much I've seen them, and the end of GS III, it seems like a definite possibility.

To keep my BA captain cheap I gave him just a jump pack, claws and a combi-melta.

S5 with shred should be enough to bring down shit like carnifexes but it makes me think if I should have given him a relic sword instead...

Maybe just bring two rapier lasers if there's no prize/commendation involved. They ARE ordnance so they reroll their pen results anyway. With the latest Renegades supplement you can take an Ordnance Tyrant as upgrade for your warlord making quad launchers/heavy mortars non compulsory troop. Take one blob of mutants and a battery of 1-4 quad launchers. As for the rest of the command squad, leave it bare aside from mark/devotion. If much of anything even looks at your Arch-Demagogue wrong he dies.
