After just watching Fate/Zero I had the urge to make a list of knightly knights for excessive CHIVALRY. And lo and behold tech bee has a stat line!

Question, can we take the tech bee civvie version as a free order thanks to Inspiring Leadership? Or is that for specific missions and the real game piece is the spec op tech bee?

Honestly though this statline makes the most sense. PanO's backline mechanics wouldn't be ripping the guts out of machines by themselves, that's not how the hyperpower rolls. But devas are aleph units and they are robots. but I guess robots can be any color they want.

So in the end I caved in and bought the monks. played a few games with them, and the smoke is nice and all, but how do people stop opponents from killing them all on turn 1 when they run out of cover ?
>>
>>52090169
Unless the board is devoid of terrain it should be possible to deploy them so they don't immediately run into the LoF of a sniper. After that you need to get them into the midfield, that's where they do their best work.
>>
>>52090169
Also if you really need them alive can spend a regular order to cancel their extremely impetuous order.

Though for my use of warband units, mostly Kums, I do a lot of smoke+dodge with them. One to cover the advance of the others.

>>
>>52090169
I don't think you understood that D.Va is a character from some popular video game that the person was trying to emulate with a color scheme. Not a "Deva" although I understand the confusion.

Glad you liked the monks, they're overall pretty cool. Generally what I tend to do is measure about 4" back from the deployment zone edge, and outside of sight behind a building, giving total cover, just moving 4" and then I'd throw smoke around a corner and cover the rest of the advances for others. You sort of get used to managing their impetuous order because it's not an unreasonable 8" movement like bikes. It is indeed a blessing and a curse, as they can often get into tricky situations where they have to move to a spot where they and some allies can get hit by templates, which they can easily dodge but the allies likely don't.

So, the other thing is being careful which impetuous monk acts first, one can easily throw smoke down to protect another in a more dangerous spot, as the effective ranges are rather long, even throwing it 16" at -3 works half the time.

This is what I'm refering to with D.Va.

Monks are stupid good with smoke dodges. Just chuck the smoke at your feet and you are gold.
One on each flank should make your opponent have to spread his MSV2 ARO units if he has any.
>>
>>52090169
> how do people stop opponents from killing them all on turn 1 when they run out of cover ?
that's the hard part of managing impetous units. It takes some experience to predict the opponent's movements and deploy in the best way. Consider that unless you're under fire of a MSV2 unit (or multiple units) you can and should smoke-dodge with a very respectable 16, otherwise use a normal dodge. Avoid main firelanes, position to make them go in unusual paths toward the opponent and when in range of chain rifle just use them to force asymmetrical unopposed trades against enemy units.

Nonetheless they're going to die eventually but with a careful deployment they should survive at least until turn 2 and make the opponent waste some orders on them.

Rule question:
A Kuang Shi fires a chain rifle at Alguacil. Alguacil ARO-dodges, Another trooper ARO-fires at Kuang Shi across the table. Kuang shi declares Move up to Alguacil in the second half, hoping to catch him in the Explode blast.

Assuming the Kuang Shi suffers a wound from the shot and can trigger Explode, how can the Alguacil dodge it? With the same roll as dodging the chain template, with the same modifiers (so dodging the chain would also dodge the Explode)? Or different?
>>
>>52090499
>fapfinity
time is indeed ripe since they just released the TechBee profile

>>52090793
my rule sense tells me the agualcile should evade the explosion thanks to the successful Dodge roll (since all the actions of the order happens simultaneously and a successful Dodge negates all instances of damage). Not sure at all though, that's just how I see it.
>>
>>52090337
Most countries have child labour laws anon.
>>
>>52090793
I'd personally resolve it as the dodge dodges both templates if successful.
>>
>>52090934
>>52090975
But the chain and Explode both dodge at full PH, right? Explode is treated like a normal weapon unless the Kuang Shi ends behind the Alguacil or something.

BTW, if I dodge a chain at full PH and a mine at PH -3, if I roll PH -1 I dodge the chain but still suffer the mine blast, right?
>>
Question about a rule statement concerning CC.

If you attack in CC, you get +1B for every ally engaged with your target.

Those allies, however, mustn't be activated during this order or ARO. Now I get the ARO part, but when does the Order part come into play? Is this about Coordinated Orders? ´The spearhead does get +1B and even +1Dmg for every coord. order buddy, so I'm not sure if they had that in mind? I don't know, it confuses me slightly.
>>
>>52091089
Coordinated Orders, G: Synchronized or Link teams. Say, an Uberfallkommando decides to yiff up a Swiss Guard: Chimera only gets +1 burst for each of her Pupniks if they don't activate. Same if it was a Haramaki link instead.
>>
>>52090793
Both short skills in an order are considered before any attack or ARO dice are rolled, so the KS does not know he's about the suffer a wound until after the option to move has passed.

On a tight map or if the KS got *really* close the Alguacil might not have the open path to dodge both templates, but in many cases one Dodge move will be able to get out of both.

The FAQ does not discus this particular scenario, but does have an example of a Dodge move triggering a Mine, and sstates that only one Dodge roll is made. It is considered FtF vs the Chain Rifle and Normal against the Mine (though possibly at a -3 PH based on other modifiers like Deployable).
>>
>>52091024
>if I roll PH -1 I dodge the chain but still suffer the mine blast, right?
Correct.
>>
>>52091140
You don't have to actually move out of the template to dodge it, you can just stay put
>>
>>52091089
>>52091134
Check the date of the ruling. This was changed with HSN3.

Coordinated orders specifically add the burst and damage, as do fireteams. Gsync does as well, but the Gsync models don't get to attack individually on the same target.
>>
>>52091166
The one sticky point is if the mine's area would only have been entered by the Dodge movement, as failing the Dodge roll, even against a second source, means that you didn't move after all. It is very situational, but that is what the game is about.
>>
>>52087968
You're an optimist. CA is probably going to have a special skill that's going to be a bar above everything Human Sphere has to offer.
>>

>>52091412

Staple minis:
Camo infiltrators: Chasseurs, Foxtrots (both with rifles)
Werewolves (Cameronians, Dog-Warriors)
Spetsnaz HMG
Tankhunter autocannon or HMG
Antipode pack
line troops of some type to fill orders (remember the AVA), including 2 chain Volunteers
45 Highlanders "Galwegians" - chain rifle
Irmandinhos
some kind of AD troop (probably Paracommando or Airborne Ranger).

If you go sectorial, very much depends on what's available, some of the above have their counterparts in various sectorials.

eyo again Infini/tg/

Guy who posted last thread bout starting the game.

Today i bought myself the nomad starter set while one of my friends got the Aleph starter set.

I am of course going to be working on these (when im not glued to zelda BOTW) and was wondering what i needed next. I looked at the box and noticed i didn't have a 'hacker' and my friend did. Am i at a disadvantage?

Also for my next box i was thinking of either riot grrls or the tomcat box (kitty mech!) Are either of these good or should i go for another box?

Again thanks in advance for the help.
>>
>>52092935
Thanks for this info man. I'm reading up on the rules, as soon as i understand the rules a bit better i'll build an army and get painting.
>>
>>52094641
I mean, hacking tends to be called "advanced rules" not totally intended for the first couple of games you play, you generally want to ease into it like with fireteams, so you're not at an innate disadvantage yet, but you'll want to get into it sooner or later as Nomads play into the strength of hackers very well with easily accessible repeaters.

Riot grrrls and the Tomcat box are both good, having Riot Grrrls will kind of pegionhole you into a list for Bakunin as they're one of the generally best fireteams in the game, but having one or two out in basic games is still viable as well.

Tomcats on the other hand are pretty cool mid field specialists who can easily get to an objective or repair someone who's down, so it's a generally better suggested buy as its usually easier to fit into an army list a a supplement to a starter.
>>
>>52094648
Also, rifle Chasseurs are starter-only and can be hard to get so grab them if someone's selling. And ADHL Chasseurs are easy to convert to rifles if you have a spare one.
>>
>>52095061
Also the Hunzakut makes a decent Chasseur proxy.
>>
>>52094641
>Also for my next box i was thinking of either riot grrls or the tomcat box (kitty mech!) Are either of these good or should i go for another box?
Riot Grrls are not very good for generic Nomads, but Tomcats are. You may want some bodies on the table, like Jaguars, Morans or Zeros, and everyone always says to get either a Sniper or HMG Intruder.
Check the tactica: https://1d4chan.org/wiki/Infinity/N3_Tactics/Nomads
The kitty mech (specifically the one on Carlota) got me into Nomads in the first place.
>>
>>52095241
The fem-Hunzaqt? Holy shit, you're right. Swap the gun, convert the comlog, swap the repeater for a mine, and she'll be excellent. Thanks for the idea. Might check that with the other Hunzaqt for 4 unique rifle Chasseurs.

Needs more SWC. Give the Lasiq a viral sniper rifle, and give the Ragik a spitfire. Kill off one unit, probably one of the Barids, for the extra points, bringing you to 11 regular orders. Move everything except the Ragik and the Mutts up to group 1. When the Ragik drops in in-game, use a command token to bring him up to group 1.

How worth it is Red Veil for a starting vanilla Yu Jing player? Bow Ninja looks cool but I'm unsure if she's actually worth a shit.

Also, do we know if the YJ half is going to be getting a standalone starter box any time soon? I really want that HMG Hsien but it looks like the fucker is only available through Red Veil right now.
>>
>>52100065
Also Guilangs look cool, are they a decent hacker option if I'm not going for a heavy hacker package, or should I go with the sniper and find my hacker elsewhere?
>>
>>52100065
Ninja hips has a killer hacker profile. Tacbow isn't the worst weapon, but she shines in CC cause nips are crazy bringing knives to gun fights. With the khd you can surprise explode enemy hacker heads from TO infiltration.

The YJ starter should either be out or coming out soon. If you can get someone to buy the Haqq half of red veil it's a pretty sweet deal.
>>
>>52100065
The YJ standalone iirc has already been released or is about to be.

The KHD profile for ninja is very nice. She's quite different to other TO infiltrators, a lot of her role is lying in wait for a target to get close before jumping out of hidden deployment to shank and/or hack them.

>>52100114
Guilang hacker, FO and minelayer are all excellent. However he is an assault hacker, which means he's better at disabling enemy HI and machines but lacks most of the defensive utility that normal hackers have. It's often worth taking both.
Sniper kind of sucks, I shortened the barrel of mine so I can use it as a combi. Guilangs are best for doing objectives and disrupting other infiltrators in the midfield.
>>
>>52100065
The bow ninja is about the only version of a ninja worth taking (the rest of the loadouts are tad too expensive but the AHD is close in usefulness). And it is worth taking. Game winning at times.

YJ half of Red Veil is getting a separate starter (no ninja) right now. Like you can order it for 32 bucks online with free shipping right now.

>>52100114
Guilang hacker's awesome (although I do tend to field the FO more often). Don't go for the sniper instead, it's ok but underwhelming.

Gotcha, thanks for the advice.

Followup: Is it better to have Shaolin Monks as part of the primary order group, or should I shove them off into their own group since it seems like Extremely Impetuous is going to drain my order pool one way or another (either wasting an order to keep them from committing suicide-by-ARO, or not doing that and letting them die).

>>52100593
I tend to have like just one in a main group, and the rest in a second combat group along with a ninja, remote, or other thing so I could spend a few orders if needed on a Shaolin monk to get uncomfortably close to the enemy.
>>
>>52100593
Smoke dodge is your friend, so is figuring out how far from a corner your monk needs to be if you need him your next turn.

The nice thing about war bands is they are cheap and come with 2 orders just for themselves. They aren't really meant to live to the end of the game. I find they generally need only 1-2 regular orders at most to get them in a prime position to smoke or act as a a very big mine. Now if you had something like the nomad uberfall then you would certainly stick that in your primary group, it's a furry cruise missile specially designed to delete an enemy unit, and then some, if things can go your way. But it costs almost as much as 5 monks, so there's that to consider as well, because that's a whole lot of smoke being thrown around. I like having 2 WB and a cheapo remote in a second group.
>>

>>
>>52105074
>so the model already exists they just have to throw it in a blister
Not totally exactly true, as they resculpt the exclusive models for their later releases.

I mean, I'd like to see a new ninja but wouldn't want it particularly soon when there's already a missing sculpt, suitable alternatives that still look good (AHD Ninja is still one of my favorite models), and room for a Celestial Guard SWC box and a Zhanying box that could be needed before that.

I'm also keeping in mind that it was well over a year and eight months before the Reverend Healer got her non-exclusive release and a year and four months for the Father Knight so even with that precedent it's still too soon to expect a ninja anytime these upcoming months.

On a side note it was the least favorite of the Red Veil Yu Jing models of mine as I didn't like the resculpt's aesthetic that much

one thing I never quite liked in this game is that models with jetpacks, with few exceptions, don't have enhanced mobility. For once I don't think a tiny shoulder-mounted jetpack would help that much during an orbital jump, where it could plausibily help is in short-range tactical jumps but it seems the only units in the world trained to do this basic thing are the Ekdromoi (and a dog, but I think in that case it's more of a racial trait).
>>
>>52107622
You should think of those less in the term of jump packs and more grav-chutes. IMO they actually sound more realistic.
>>
>>52107645
yeah I understand the logic behind but some of the designs are so awkward that I can't envision how they could be used in an orbital jump at all...

¡Magia de los memes!
>>
>>52108094

>>
>>52107845
Nah, I think it would be shit.
If you make it too close to the tabletop, it's going to end up like GBA YGO games or Magic Online (slow as shit and not fun) or like Space Hulk. Can you imagine having to confirm AROs/No AROs every turn, because there might be an HD trooper? Though I guess a video game would at least highlight LoFs.

But if you make a turn-based tactics game that is nothing like the tabletop, the existing community is going to complain. And that is not a big community.

No, I think an Infinity game should be set in the world, but present the concepts in a different manner. Look at 40k: the best games are DoW series and Space Marine. One is an RTS that uses some concepts from the tabletop (like emphasis on strategic point control) and the other is a straight up action game. I feel like an Infinity game should be either one of the two or an RPG in vein of Mass Effect or Deus Ex. If it was to be a turn-based tactics game, it would have to reinvent a lot. E.g. in vidya units usually have multiple hitpoints, so do you translate the high-lethality thing or not? Would AROs be still a thing or would they be entirely automated (like in Valkyria Chronicles) or need an overwatch order? Those sort of dilemmas.

Better to just play as a Corregidor Bandit and still data and shit.

You'll want that new Tech-Bee set that is coming out this month. Since Jotum is going to be your centerpiece, you'll want to keep him alive with an Engineer and Tech-Bee makes them a little competent.
Other than that the rest of your list is going to be a bit cheaper. I propose an HMG ORC or Nisse to support your Jotum, an MSV sniper (Nisse again), Machinist with a Palbot or two (so the Support Pack) and Auxila. Obviously you want to start with the PanO Starter, which already has a Nisse and an ORC as well as Fusiliers for some cheap orders and an Akali that can attack from an unexpected angle (leaving him with the Combi or Boarding Shotgun is fine).

I guess it's like ... I don't know. How to explain the "ü" sound to english speakers?? Germans have it, not hard for us!
>>
>>52112541
"ue". As in, Fuehrer. Pronounced nothing like the i in Brian.

Jamming 'Yuan' into Google Translate's Chinese and getting it to speak it back to me tells me that it sounds a lot like 'one'. If you put a space in it (which makes it translate as Plan, or 预案) it becomes 'Yù'àn' which has that ue sound.
>>
>>52112541

>>52116953
Nah, if you go slightly off script no one has any idea what the fuck you are talking about. That is why there are so many Chinese "sayings", because if it's not a saying you need half an hour of clarification of homophones.
>>
>>52117219
Damn, that's a shame.

It's a bit weird how the two most common languages in the world are both fucked. Chinese has about fifty meanings for one vocalisation based on tiny tonal changes, while English is just batshit insane and does whatever it wants.

>>52117219

>>
>>52117293
>Chinese has about fifty meanings for one vocalisation based on tiny tonal changes

It's worse than that. There are 4 tones you can put on "yuan" and there would be about 30 characters for each tone of yuan with different meanings.
>>
>>52118406

Honestly, the only way to be sure is if CB bothers to reveals the actual characters used. And even then there is a chance they will screw it up again.

Also, next global campaign is Strikezone: Wotan or somesuch. Can't wait to see the inevitable factional favouritism again.
>>
>>52118446
Considering Bostria's insistence on the "annoying insect" part, it could be either 蜎 or 蝝. Note that English is his second language and he tends to talk very slowly in it, he might have not remembered which insect it was in English.

Apparently CB and BoW are repeating the Flamestrike thing. Will you be taking part this time around? I completely skipped Flamestrike, but I'm thinking about representing PanO here.
>>

Time to represent the Wotan clan!
>>
>>52092323
Well it is ZenTerrain. Zen masters are known trolls of the highest calibre. So everything as it should be.
>>
>>52122306
Fuck no. Flamestrike was cancer and people got way too much invested in their factions' propaganda. It reeked of 40k's "muh heresy!"

I might play some scenarious if they look interesting though
>>
>>52122012
Yep
>>
>>52122726
She's a mercenary TAG pilot, so yeah, basically.
It wasn't bimbofication therapy, it was just being born a Nomad.
>>
Does the manned skill still state that a dismounted pilot needs to be removed if their TAG is destroyed?

As far as I can tell remote pilots aren't removed when their TAG is destroyed but human pilots still feel the need to commit sudoku when their TAG is destroyed.
>>
>>52122783
Yes, and I agree it's stupid that the biological pilot suddenly dies, but a robot crab can still operate, despite former logically being more independent of their machine than the latter. Even if they wouldn't provide Orders, now with Specialist profiles and extra weapons they feel more useful.
>>
>>52122853
it's most likely a way to keep some semblance of balance without having to go back and change the point cost of tags which is already a significant point drain
>>
>>52122994
But about 50% of all TAGs still suck and would suck even with a seldom used unmounted junk specialist thrown in.
>>
>>52123877
I get the impression that people who say TAGs suck have never used or faced one. TAGs are a pain to get rid off unless you have a specific anti-TAG weapon or get lucky.
The ones that do suck would be either Raicho, for being a bit overpriced and overshadowed by other options or Scarface/Anaconda for being paper-thin. The rest you just need to know how to use.
And Scarface now brings two WIP13 specialists and a TAG for a low price, which to factions like PanO is huge. They can still fit in a Swiss or something similar for murderizing purposes and use the TAG merely as a heavily armed specialist delivery service. And put it back up with a WIP 14 engi thanks to the cheerleading Tech-Bee.
>>
>>52123957
They don't suck, but they aren't very good in ITS. It's almost always better to spend your points on a bunch of cheaper dudes rather than a single model worth almost 1/3 of your total points allotment, especially when said big dude is at risk of being turned against you by any faction with a regular/assault hacking device. All these TAGLine changes are specifically to encourage people to run TAGs in their lists, because almost nobody was doing so before.
>>
>>52123957
Nah. The speed is cool, but they're less killy in F2F than TO/ODD shit - the orders not spent moving are often wasted with bad rolls - and at a much greater cost to the list as a whole. I've seen more engage tarpitted, screwed by narrow terrain, monstered by hackers or just critscrewed than win games. Obviously, the ones which have marker state are all great, but that leaves a bunch of 90 point HMG dudes.
>>

>>
Has TAGline had the effect of increasing the amount of TAGs in your meta?
>>
>>52129781
One guy started using the Dragoes more regularly even when not playing the TAG bonus missions.

I still need to paint Maggie. Also try and find the pilot model because why not.
>>
How's the HMC Yan Huo?
Is a guy who's only thing is BIG GUN worth it compared to taking a less blasty but more specialized HI?
>>
>>52130003
HMCs are scary guns in the active turn. Especially since you can take him as your Lt with said gun. Though I'd bring some CoC since he has a big target painted on him even without being the Lt.

Really just punish groups of 1 wounders or tear down big dudes.
>>
>>52129781
We had a fair few TAGs anyway. Our JCC player started using Geckos though, and they seem to be among the TAGs that benefited the most. They're normally in the midfield anyway and they're cheap enough that the pilot going down won't fuck your entire game plan. Not to mention the raw killing power of dual assault pistols compared to most pilot weapons.

I used my TAGs as usual. Haven't found a use for pilots yet, but I haven't fielded a Xeodron recently either.
>>
What are some good things to do to get the best use out of your tags? I play Haqq Islam and have a Maghariba Guard that I use. But I haven't gotten much out of him so far.
>>
>>52130499
Shoot people really hard and fast. Remember that you can move through any terrain smaller than you. Hide and suppressive fire at the end of your turn.

He's pretty specialised all things considered, and relatively cheap in comparison to our other all-star units.

If you are not seeing too much camo/ODD spam, he is certainly awesome to have around. The HMC isn't even that bad as a last resort ARO weapon either.
>>
>>52130003
On paper he seems pretty cool, best with back up Chain of Command and supplementary support, although the one time I faced it was with my Haramaki link team list. Absolutely the Rui Shi I had sitting in a corner, but when it tried to slice the pie against my link, nudging just enough to see just one by one, my link shot back first with a Domaru spitfire who took a hit but no wound so she didn't die and decided to hide into cover then with a blitzen Haramaki and the Yan Huo got critically hit it and immobilized with E/M it so I was underwhelmed (plus it unwisely ate up like four or five orders in a limited insertion event).
>>
>>52130591
Fucking hell, that's great.

I'm looking at getting my first TAG for PanO, and I mostly play Vanilla. Any recommendations for a good all-around first purchase? The Jotum seems cool.
>>
>>52131819
Spot on. Jotum is your beginner TAG. It's quite forgiving with its great defensive stats and weapons. Just remember to use the basic TAG tactics (stay in as much cover as possible, supp fire at the end of the turn, etc)
>>
>>52129902
>Also try and find the pilot model because why not.
I'll just repaint my Hazmat for that purpose.
>>
>>52132299
Playing with my unpainted, partially assembled Maggie when the pilot was relevant I used a Druze.

But I actually hope they do a new pilot sculpt. Not saying the current one looks bad, but I wouldn't mind one without some object to lean on.
>>
>>52132070
Thanks! Are there any models in particular that I should auto grab to support the tag?
>>
>>52134036
Support box comes with your only engineer option. Can use him (plus a g:servant bot) to fix up and un-stick your Jotum for the times the opponent manages to fuck him up. An assault or killer hacker can be useful for warding away hackers from hacking your big hackable target.
>>
>>52134036
Support box and Tech-Bee, as soon as she comes out.
Since he is in vanilla PanO only, everything else you'd want would be PanO standards, like Nisse, Croc Man, Dronbots etc.
>>
>>52134078
Support box is so hideous though. People go on about the doc, but the machinist is even worse. The only nice detail - the hair - doesn't even have a very PanO feel. If possible, buy some palbots elsewhere and proxy the engineer.

>>52134036
Auxilia are recommended in TAG lists for cheap area control
>>
>>52134747
New to the game, what should I pick up to flesh out my Op Red Veil armies?
>>
>>52134747
>Support box is so hideous though. People go on about the doc, but the machinist is even worse.
True that. I use Bipandra as Doc and Spec Ops as Machinist and I borrow Zondcats from my Nomad collection for Palbots. I wish they remade the kit; Trauma-Doc has a nice dramatic pose, it's just that her sculpt aged. I would like if they made her like the bunny-eared Moderator in Bakunin starter, straight up redo the same sculpt.
Or that they would make an MO themed Support Box, with Father-Doctor and Father-Engineer, as they are called in Army.

But you always want to field an Engineer when running a TAG or multiple drones like I do.

Get the "Dire Foes Mission pack 6 Defiant truth", because it brings 2 characters that will upgrade both armies to 200pts.

Get the Maghariba Guard and the Guijia. Now both armies would be 300 pts. Enough to get into a tournament.... and be demolished, but at least you'll have enough points.
>>
>>52134901
Get a Peacemaker. That allows you to field 2 proxy Auxilia, or alternatively a Peacemaker.
>>
>>52134996
I already have two Bulleteers and I was underwhelmed last time I proxied one as Peacemaker. But the thought has crossed my mind.
Then the question would be if I paint the second Auxbot in the camo pattern I give my secular units or with a cross like the knights. But for now I'll just save my money.
>>
>>52135031
Then I'm gonna have to accuse you of using them wrong. Or otherwise your terrain doesn't accommodate them well, some tables have no places in the midfield big enough for them that are not open to long range fire.

If they make her like the dossier or on one of new art pictures I'd be happy. However I don't mind the old engineer or doctor.
>>
>>52135061
>Then I'm gonna have to accuse you of using them wrong.
Likely. I just prefer ODD + Spitfire to getting uncomfortably close for a Shotgun/Flamethrower blast. I am slowly getting the hang of close range troops with Krakot and shotgun Croc.
>>
>>52135222
Let them get uncomfortably close to you instead. If you've got an assault hacker that's 3 potent short range AROs in the midfield that you don't have to invest any orders into. And if there's someone nearby you'd like to shoot with a flamethrower and/or shotgun then you can scoot your robots over to them and open fire.

The best thing about Peacemakers is that they're a midfield threat that requires basically no investment. And if you do feel like investing in them remember that any supportware cast on the Peacemaker is also applied to the Auxbot, so it's a highly efficient use of enhanced reaction or overclock.
>>
>>52135286
>remember that any supportware cast on the Peacemaker is also applied to the Auxbot

I only found it out recently, but it's pretty sweet. Enhanced reaction counts as a MOD.

Is Gui Feng a Wu Ming, or is there a different explanation why he is wearing the penal units power armor?
>>
>>52136304
He isn't. Compare them, it's a completely different design.
>>
>>52136304
I don't see all this likeness, only the helmet is somewhat similar to the old Wu Ming ones. Considering there are only a handful of equipment manufacturers for each faction it's pretty normal to see the same pieces adapted to different units: Domaru are wearing Zuyong's slightly tweaked armor, Hac Tao has the same back-piece as the new Wu Mings, Sun Tze wears the same armor as Shang Ji, etc.

It's the same in other factions too, like if you see one PanO medium armor you've seen them all.
>>
>>52136418
>>52136429
the back seems identical.
>>
>>52136587
Nah. I see where you're coming from, the funky backpack is similar but definitely different.
>>
Someone told me that if you Immobilise-1 a TAG or HI, then you can simply shoot it to death without recourse, because the Reset action only triggers on a normal roll. So, as long as I make all his resets FTF rolls by shooting him, he's not making a 'normal roll' reset.

Is that correct?
>>
>>52137461
Reset is only ftf against hacking attacks. If you shoot an immobilised target then he gets to make a normal roll reset, but you also get to make a normal roll BS attack since he can't shoot back or dodge. So it's likely the target will successfully reset, but also he'll probably be dead.

You could say that about all of PanO.
At least Fusiliers are wearing berets instead of their helmets. If Spec-Ops and old starter Fusilier are anything to go by, they look exactly like Bagh-Mari or Akalis ones.
>>
>>52138665
Yu Jing and PanO fall into the big organized military category. Makes sense for them to have some degree of uniformity.

Irregular armies like Haqq, Ariadna, and even Combined Army are made up of people from very different backgrounds and races so uniformity is only expected of their respective unit/race.

I still forget what Rasyats are called all the time, even when I'm fielding them. I don't know why, it could just be a shit name. I think the other names are alright though, at least compared to Tohaa. I can remember almost every other unit in the game, but it's like Tohaa light infantry are trying to be confusing with their Kosuils, Kotails, Kumotails, Kerails and Kamaels. At least Morats tend to have distinct first syllables and utilize a decent chunk of the alphabet.
>>
>>52144656
Just refer to them by number. Kosuils are the 7040s, Kotails are the 8040s, Kumotails are the 2450s, Kerails are the 5020s, and Kamaels are the 110s.
