I found a bunch of old metal daemonette.

After seeing picture related, I wonder how mad people would be if I use those old models as "count as" SoB/DCA to bulk up my current SoB and Inquisition army.

Admech players, how do you go about dealing with Genestealer Cults? There's a chap at my FLGS who runs a largely mechanised list with several ML2 Magi summoning in genestealer blobs, plus lascannon teams in chimeras outflanking. They basically just get to pick two units to kill. Currently running an Elimination Maniple plus Dominus Maniple and some melee stuff and Rangers in a Skit Maniple at 1200. I have pretty much a whole Warconvo, plus some Inquisitors and acolytes and a couple other Dragoons and such.

So how bad of an idea is it to bring a Cohort Cybernetica as my only unit in a 850 tourney?

Will have regular "control points and tactical objectives" for the first round, a mixed Kill Points/Objectives round for #2 (with a max differential of 3 kill points between both armies) and a 5 objective round with cards that awards 1 point for each outer and 3 for the inmer objective at the end of the game.

I'm not aiming to necessarily win with it, just want to not get tabled immediately or lose every game because of some other reason and just generally have a bit of fun at least.

What this anon said is true. A lot of people here do mathhammer and theory hammer, but they don't actually play much. You playing is the biggest factor of what will be good or not in your area. Your meta might be very casual, the players you go up against might take poor army compositions or just be bad commanders.

Mathhammer and theoryhammer is good for seeing who and what is strongest against other strong things for the absolute most consistent and competitive units, but it really boils down to you playing and seeing what you're up against and what works for you.

Fellow Admech player here. To be quite honest if you do this there is only one way the games can go. You either table them or you lose. Period. Except maybe in the second scenerio with kill points, but even then you probably wanna try and table them to be safe. Good news, there is no fucking way they will be able to kill you. They might pop one bot, maybe two, but if your dominus is healing and you take the IWND relic your little deathstar is nigh unkillable at that point level because they probably won't have too many heavy weapons to deal with them. Decently killy too. Personally as much as I love that formation I don't think that either you or you opponent will have much fun. It's fine in higher point levels where there are other things, but if all you bring is that your options are limited and so are their's, and that isn't very fun.

Straken needs to be an IC with the Senior Officer rule. Him giving Monster Hunter to an entire blob would be hilarious and fun. His buff bubble also needs to be 12 inches again and not 6. Giving him a 4++ and IWND would be really nice considering the fluff.

Creed should be able to select 2 of his own Warlord traits. His order range should be 18 or 24. Otherwise he's fine.

I dunno. I want to run a tide of Bloodletters and such, overwhelming the opposing force with bodies so they'll be able to get in melee merely by the fact that nothing can get rid of them fast enough, but using the Decurion is really prohibitive of upgrades at 1500, since if I take a Forgehost I can't afford much upgrades if I give every unit of Bloodletters an Instrument and Banner, because they both seem pretty useful, but the Forgehost provides reliable AT and AA. I do and don't want to use Bloodthirsters because they're cool, but man, I'm afraid I'll screw up such a cool model. Can FMCs hit flyers in melee? If so, I really want to spring for the D-Thirster, because that one definitely has a really cool model, even if it does strike at I1.

Add to that the concept that while winning can be important for enjoyment, it's not necessarily the most important aspect.

A close football match between two trash teams might be more enjoyable than watching a complete blowout at the super bowl. That moment in that 3D brawler or shooter where you are down to minimum health, and manage to perform the clutchest of maneuvers may bring more satisfaction even if the game is ultimately lost than a simple, winning-by-the-numbers encounter.

tl;dr, being optimal on the table top might not be optimal for fun. But I'm a Tau player so what do I know.

I love Kastellans, absolutely love them, but I try to limit how much I use them, because I've never not seen them preform magnificently. The only time I've ever seen them killed was after I'd been drowned in two max sized units of flayed ones. By all means bring them, but at 850 I wouldn't recomend just a cohort cybernetica. Take a few squads of destoryers one thing of kastellans and a dominus. There should be points for that. You have more of a presence, your opponent has more he can plan for, and more stuff he can actually kill.

The real issue is that We've already had two Triumvirates of the Imperium, and none was "Triumvirate of the Sororitas" or whatever. The most recent one is *almost* Triumvirate of the Space Marines.

Personally I would definitely take the rangers. The increased range and move through cover is worth it, and they wound consistently. Vanguard toss more dice around but against big suckers their guns can't do too much, and they have to get so close that half of them will die before you get to shoot with them.

So any advice for a new dark elder player, I will mostly be fighting necrons as that is what my brother has started collecting. I'm planning on using an archon in a venom with 4blasterborn and a we way portal to get behind his line, scourges to take out his vehicles armed with haywire blasters and on butting my warriors in raiders to take out stragglers, maybe give them shock prows and put a succumb us with armour of strife in a venom with some Wyches nearby to mop up stragglers. I also have a razor wing jet fighter and ravaged for fast moving support. Any advice or tips?

This is Apoc, so no formations and such.

Stormbird, for one thing. Guaranteed reserves mean you can cruise in needing Skyfire to hit what's essentially two Baneblades with two Void Shields on top. Also S:D massive blast.

Huge swarms of Guard artillery, with psychic support, and Mechanicus Kataphrons by the dozen with Cawl giving them all stealth and shrouded and/or BS5 or a 4++, all fronted by a whole bunch of Fearless Conscript platoons which he'll have to shoot or be locked.

What's the stats and guns on those Eldar titans? Not encountered them.

Probably also a true shit ton of servo-skulls just to fuck any Tau deepstrike shenanigans.
