So I guess this means we can actually get decent jumps for Valkyrie Profile and FFVI now. Last thread was a net gain, admittedly.

Right, so I've gained some motivation and inspiration recently, and I'm going to try and work on DDS part 2 and get as much done as possible before I burn out again. So, you all will probably be seeing some WIPs fairly soon.

Before I do that, however, I've got something I'd like some advice on. The Drop-In 400cp perk is supposed to be based on how you can gain powers from certain characters in the final dungeon of DDS part 2 if you've met the requirements for them. Specifically, you gain one ability they had while alive. Now I'm trying to figure out how to balance this, given the rather unique circumstances here. One was an ally that was driven berserk and then mercy killed, another was an enemy that the heroes fought and later killed, and another was yet another enemy, who was killed by the previous enemy. All of them ended up supporting the heroes in the final level, though, which is why they gave the protagonists their powers. So, first of all, circumstances are important here, and then there's also what abilities they can give, because they only gave one really good though not game breaking or necessary to win ability. I think something like gaining a single power from a dead ally/enemy turned ally would work, with certain limits of course, but do any of you guys have any ideas?

If the jumpmaker went over there soliciting resources, it's up to the anons over in Towergirls to determine whether they want to accept him, and knowing them, they probably had no issues with it at all. The problem wasn't that Towergirls anon was making the jump, it was that Towergirls anon was trying to get the jump on the main drive. If all he does is make the jump and give it to /twgg/, no one gives a fuck because that's interboard politics, and /jc/ doesn't own the jump template. Fact of the matter is, the argument was already had here, and instead of letting anyone move on, the guy hounded Towergirls anon to somewhere that /jc/ has no authority. I'm more worried about the fact that it's SO EASY to drive them out. Like really easy. And how they where so quick to just turn on everyone in a bout of impotent nerd rage. When in reality their opinions should have very little weight on anything. Especially on a community driven endeavor where people donate their time to create a collective whole.

Perhaps it's just me but when I make a jump I consider it a donation of my time. The work I make once uploaded to the drive isn't so much "mine" anymore as more of a personal investment to the public. While I have control of my work to a degree. Ultimately it should be up to the thread/community to decide its ultimate fate.

I feel that guy last thread overstepped his place. He is but an anon with a temporary name. Not an investor of some huge major corporation with all the legal tape that it involves.

I can't help but feel that this will set up to something really nasty in the future should this butthurt jumpmaker got his wish.

(As mentioned before, the list of places includes Midnight Falls, but Moonlight Hollow is mentioned in the discounts for lifestates.

50000 Simolenians is enough to make a small home in a basement. Infact, use many basement levels. (TS3 on PC has up to four.

For my build, the third and fourth are my bedroom and eventually after writing enough books I'll make the entire 'walls' of both levels using clipped wall mirrors.

My usual layout is a basement, first floor, second floor and a 'roof' access in the shape of a hockey puck; both for stairs going up to be 'indoors' and a door at a angle.

The idea is simple, I'll simply take my design and skip the second floor, then put the entire thing underground except the 'roof' part if I need it. I may expand the 'roof' part, but genrally the basement in my normal design will be expanded to two levels at -3 and -4. The 'niche' where I keep a bookcase is turned into /two/, using a 'floor' on -3 to support a second bookcase. Otherwise, the stairs now are going from -2 to -3 in the front of the room on -3, with -3 to -4 as normal. The other two floors are normal, except mirrors instead of windows due to being underground.

The plan is to build the basements using Motherlode and put furniture in the lowest basement. Assuming it's *not* a 10x10 lot, I can put in a elevator outside my normal house design. I then take the time to connect the elvaqtor using stairs to the hormal house. After this I can write to my hearts content. Keep making money from books and bien ghappy with what ingredients are in the fridge. Keep insdie to keep from being abducted. Be a hermit from the start of the chain As soon as I get the motherlode, buy a home and then start building what I need and remain indoors.

Note: If Sculptor was in this jump's pdf, I'd be tempted just so my Roman jump would be more intresting. At least it would be a job, and I would train it up to skill level 10.)

I only drop claims when it's taken me WAY TOO LONG to make content. So I just sort of drop the claim so that when another anon with more time/inspiration/talent comes along they aren't arbitrarily cockblocked by my slowness.

This happened last time with the gargoyles [which I claimed in IRC but ultimately had a host of life issues] thing and I realized how annoying it is to have content made only to not come to the surface because some anon claimed it and couldn't deliver within a reasonable timeframe.

So from now on they will remain unclaimed so that other anons who want to or have a jump made but couldn't act on because of my claim. I won't stop them nor let thread policy stop them by politely dropping my claims until further notice. I will pick up the claim again only AFTER I drop a completed first draft WIP.

So at first I thought this was weird. It was a city that is a giant convention. However it was weirder than that. Apparently all the gathered Geekyness in one area had manifested together to open a gate way to the warp and had created a 5th chaos god, the god of Geekiness who was now handing out his blessings to his most deranged fallowers. Those willing to leave behind the bonds of sanity and hygiene… or at least that was my theory to explain things. However I am sure I saw some Daemons there gaming so I consider that evidence.

This place wasn’t so bad I got caught up on spiderman, I can’t believe they made him sell his marriage to the devil then killed him off and replaced him with Doc Ock. Also, Virtual World is one of the worst Generics because it's not really a generic. It's someone's OC setting that takes stuff from other settings, not a place that can potentially reflect any number of settings within a genre like almost all other generics. Generic Magical Girl is a far better example of a generic because it allows for so many different sorts of settings within the magical girl genre. Virtual World allows for one, the one it gives you a little info on but nowhere near what you need.

Just ignore them. People talk about shonen escalation but the actual makers seem to manage just fine. If you're really worried, just make the perks stuff designed to be trained up over time and you start at a lower level, so that way perks don't suddenly get way stronger then you intended.

If you're asking about escalation we're just starting, since Vandals is picking up speed and Midoriya is slowly being introduced to the world. This is more of worldbuilding escalation rather than character escalation, but worldbuilding escalation often affects jumps much more, because it introduces a wide variety of options.

As far as making a jump goes though there's no reason why you can't make a jump based off of the first segment alone.

When your jumping days are over and time restarts in old settings, a whole lot of people (and dragons) suddenly become homeless & start to Drown in the Icy Waters of the North Atlantic, because the Islands they lived on aren't there anymore. Why you do that Jumper, Why!

I like the fogbank thing, but can we have the Archipelago Islands be a Warehouse attachment after the jump if we want? It makes more sense than 'it exists in the jump for real, but is not on maps' in modern settings with satellite coverage of everything. It being in its own space unreachable except by going through the fog is better.

Don't want to take the power capping drawback, but that Scenario Archipelago discount + Budget for it sounds really nice.

We basically made a bee-line for Mexico as soon as the Jump started, passing out elixers to uninfected people along the way; our strategy for killing zombies was basically sending me to wade into the horde in heavy steel armor, waving my sword around, while my companions picked the dead off at their leisure. The Aztec goddess took interest in us immediately, since we seemingly knew what was going on, and urged us forward. When we got to Escalera we returned the mask, ending the apocalypse a few months after it started; afterwards, we decided to hang around Escalera and help the town rebuild, although I spent most of my time guarding the catacombs and the mask so the dead wouldn't rise.

Anywho, I've got good news and bad news. Bad news first: I'm still dicking around and haven't finished Devil May Cry Jump 3.0. Good news: I had an epiphanlephant the other day, and came up with some really neat stuff for it.

Remember how I mentioned there's gonna be a perk that lets you be a descendant of Sparda? Well, I've decided to expand on this. Devil Children/Demons will be able to pick their species/progenitors. Remember how rad Shadows were in DMC1, turning themselves into spears, and all that? Well, you'll get to be one, too. You wanna be an Abyss? I got'chu covered, famalambo. Are you an absolute, fun-hating buttmuncher who wants to have the form of a Blitz? You can do that, too. There's also a secret MYSTERIOUS SPECIES/PROGENITOR you can choose if you take certain choices.

And how 'bout them Devil Arms? If you head on over to the Jump's current version, you might notice that the whole Devil Arm section is pretty much just an afterthought. Well, not no more, chief. With the new and improved Devil Arm creation section, you'll get to customize the bejeezus out of the damn thing.

You too lazy to make a custom one? Hell, me too! And that's why there's gonna be pre-made Devil Arms all set and ready to go. These babies range from original stuff to Chinese bootlegs of the ones you'd see in the games. So while Vergil ain't gonna part with Yamato anytime soon, you'll be able to entertain yourself with the Enma Katana, or slice through the legions of hell with a Valiantium Blade.
