In Dragonball AF, the item Alien Fleet says:

>If you wish, you may change the race of said fleet to that of the one purchased for yourself, barring hybrids.

Would it be too much a fanwank to say that your unimported companions and preexisting ship crews became that race as opposed to just getting a new set of alium crew members?

The perks that make your inactive companions into ship crew, or ship crew follow between jumps restrict that to certain specific ships as far as I know, which would be prior to and separate from the Alien Fleet. Unless the Alien Fleet allows an old ship that has a Inactive Companion crew to be imported into it, I do not think so, sorry.

What normally happens is half of half is 75% off, or 25% of cost. Some jumps have twice discounted is free, but that needs to be specifically stared.

So is there a benefit to paying 600 CP for the red stone vs finding out how to make it in setting?
I am guessing the Red Stone you buy has the CP "replaces or repairs itself in a week" guarantee making it really hard for you to use itl up faster than it repairs itself.

Is KOTOR going to revisit this? Because I notice there is a lot of Automail Items and even separate repair and mechanic items, but no Mechanic Perk to make you an expert at it, and none of the backgrounds mention it at all.

>The ones mentioned at the beginning of the Item Section, and then the extra one you get just for weapons?
From a strict reading Jumper gets two 50 munny orbs, two 100 munny orbs, and one 200 munny orb that can be used on any item.

Companions who are NOT nobodies or heartless get one 100 munny orb that can be used on any item.

Both Jumper and Companions get one 100 munny orb valid the the Training Weapon section ONLY.

Both Jumper and Companions get one 100 munny orb valid in the Weapon section ONLY.

And you cannot use more than one munny orb on the same item.

Not sure about spiting one munny orbs between two items, like using a 100 munny orb to buy two training only weapons.

Ah, okay. Some other things:

>Certain choices may give you multiple potential Discounts/Freebies in a single Price Tier- only (1) of those of your choice will apply.

Does this mean that taking a perk in a Hero Archetype tree will lock you out of discounts/freebies for Race and Faction? Is it one discount and one freebie per price tier (e.g. if you took Strength of a Hero for free and Demon Witchcraft as a Simple Human, would the latter be discounted), or is it only one thing at all per price tier?

Do Companions receive the item stipend? Also, can the spells of Ancient Magus be learned? Does the perk provide any boost to learning new ones? Actually, it might be better to ask what type of magic can/can't be learned in general.

Journal Entry # 7484400

So wow… this place really sucks. Umm I have been trying to not rush in to things since the people I try and help usually wind up trying to kill me but I can’t sit back and let this place continue. I don’t care who Father is, I don’t care if this does prevent war. The price is way too high. What life is there without joy, without sorrow. These people are corpses. They just don’t realize it because they are so drugged up.

Journal Entry # 7484401

So we overthrew the government, killed father and things have gone pretty chaotic. We are working on instituting new laws and trying to regain order but people are going crazy now being exposed to emotions they aren’t used to handling.

It’s going to be a rough time. I didn’t want to rule this place but I don’t see any alternatives. People are already saying it’s a power grab and honestly I don’t really care. I couldn’t let this place stand.

I do wish that we hadn’t killed as many regime members as we did but Alucard and Jackie kind of got carried away and anyone who takes a shot at me usually is killed by Reginald.
>>
>>51639279
I keep turning things into mecha series. The look on people in more hard sci-fi universes when I make the giant robot a functional weapon of war is hilarious. "What the hell, how is something with that big a profile not getting shelled to pieces? What is wrong with our artillery?"
>>
>>51639108
Biggus Dickus LoT as transformer altform
>>
>>51639326
It's one discount/freebie per source. If you were a Radiant Strength Hero Human, you could get The Radiant, Tiny, and Omniknight discounted, but you'd have to pay full price to buy Lycan.

Read the Companion imports again.

Yes. No. You could also create them yourself. The freebie for Int Heroes helps with both of those things if you're worried about failing to actually learn anything new with it.

If it's purely internal/technical (such as Demonwitch and Memories of the Past), you can learn it and keep it. Some magics may be learnable (Omniknight, Acolyte of Shadows, The Mountain's Pulse, etc) but won't be usable in other settings due to drawing on outside powers. Some are partly learnable (Ember and Storm Spirit as an example) but involve some type of transformation you'll need OCP shenanigans to mimic, meaning you'll likely be unable to do everything described.
>>
So I seem to be remembering a perk that makes nature very protective of you in a parental sense, and in future jumps makes nature spirits very protective of you/want to adopt you? Anyone know where that's from, and if it applies to all nature spirits (water, earth, fire, wind, etc. spirits) or just generic nature spirits?
>>
>>51639588
That one was from the Gods are bastards IIRC.
You'd have to ask Anon Heart for the last part if it's not in the notes though.
>>
>>51639108
As much as I love TTGL, I don't actually like super-giant mecha that much. To me, the ideal size for a mecha is forty to fifty meters. So the biggest I've ever combined it with was an emergency combination with the SRX in Super Robot Wars to help integrate its parts together into one frame along with the R-Gun and R-Knuckle as a way to get an "instant Banpreios". That topped out around 120 meters. I did that a lot in SRW, actually, using its combination abilities to enable gattai modes for the various characters. Alteisen Reise and Weissritter Rein combined into the Randaleiren Geist (poorly-translated German for "Rampage Ghost", the name of Alteisen and Weissritter's combo attack) so that Kyosuke and Excellen could fight Axel's Soulgain on equal grounds, for example.
>>

>>51639644
The first. While resetting would be a neat nod to how Tiny's growth works in gameplay, the perk would be incredibly impractical otherwise.

>>51639040
I haven't read that jump in a while, so I don't recall if it directly talks about this, but the Red Stone only exists in the 2003 anime. If you're going to the manga continuity, then you probably wouldn't actually be able to discover it in-setting.
>>
>>51639679
Portal has a perk that allows you to delete emotions from yourself and add them back later.

You might be able to pull that off with Evo or Gunnm shenanigans.
Alternatively if you mean things between alt forms Blame! has a perk for that.

Are there any perks that would make animals automatically like me?
>>
>>51639858

>>
>>51639679
Machine Intellect from SupCom does that.
>>
>>51639715
The perk doesn't actually mention anything about altforms, so fanwank whichever you like best.

>>51639767
Taking Bristle and Tusk to fight the multiverse's greatest bar room brawls sounds good, even if getting the first's grudge with Ymir to simmer down is probably gonna be a war of its own. While most of my jumpers don't have the personality to make an actual friendship work, Elder Titan is also a good one. Both so he can get OCP shit to fix the world, and because getting thrown into the metaphorical cosmic garbage bin is rough.

Also: Literally any of the female heroes. Because waifu.

Is it just me, or does this jump feel... Lopsided? Villains appear to be missing a 200 cp perk, while drop in's have two. The item section is sparse at best, and only half of them are actual items, the rest are the rank upgrades.

And there don't appear to be any actual *powers*. Tech Savy and product of SCIENCE appear to be the only actual powers, as compared to perks. Mighty Skill isn't much better.

And there's no canon companion option. This is the worst.

Thankfully, I have blue feathers.

Let me tell you, I was tempted to take the 'who is this loser' drawback, and have this jump immediately follow something like smite or supernatural. Basically, treat the green haired chick as my Genos. She KNOWS i'm basically a walking god, but literally no one will believe her.

Me being fucking lazy probably doesn't help, as i'm literally only here to flirt with Genos.

Two possibilities:
1) You create a crappy replacement and there's a huge amount of salt and faggotry and people calling you a faggot, which will be fun if only because it'll be slightly different than our usual brand of salt, and let me tell you, the usual is getting pretty damn stale by now.
2) You somehow create an AMAZING replacement and a majority of the thread agrees it to be far better than the original, allowing it to take the place of the old and giving us a shiny new jump. Which has been known to happen, but is quite rare.

Either way's a win for me, and it's mostly you who'll get yelled at if it's the former, so sure, that'll suck for you, but from my perspective there's almost no downside.
So go for it!

It only got worse.

The Overlords attacked, and the Armored Riders were scattered and few. My allies were gone, with only Kivabat to stand with me. Ironically, the bloodthirsty bat had no desire for the Forbidden Fruit - though for the life of me, I didn't understand his reasoning for it. My new Triumphant Arms - Melon would see me through the first skirmishes, until two of them ganged up on me.

I felt vulnerable. Weak without my allies. I don't know if it was just me falling apart after nonstop combat or if my power-ups and past abilities were too weak. No, rather, I couldn't risk myself using the full extent of Kuuga's abilities without putting Zawame itself at risk.

That's when the snake, Sagara, himself appeared to me. He was curious about my development, calling me ‘the dark horse’ of the race for the Forbidden Fruit. He asked about me, where I came from, what I was doing. I apparently didn't ‘smell right’ to him, like I was a stranger. Even after this many years, that's obvious...?

I then decided to take a risk. I remembered hearing how Kouta had gotten not one but two Lockseeds from Sagara, seemingly on a whim.

[Hearing Their Call (Missing Piece) + Ranbu Escalation]

And I made a deal.
>>
>>51640146
Cause I never finish any of the Jumps that I start. I've got like ten+ documents that are just lists of origins with notes on Perks or how to approach and represent different themes. I've considered doing One Punch Man before, back when the Anime was still airing, but I decided against it because I wasn't interested enough to read through the Manga, and I didn't believe that I could make a good Jump otherwise. If I took my hand to it, it wouldn't get done. It's easier to put my faith in someone else than in myself. And if the Jump he makes isn't any better than the current Jump, then it just won't make it onto the Drive, no big deal.

Not that anon, but for the record, somefaggit still shows up occasionally.
He's got other jumps on his plate right now, so even when you manage to get ahold of him, it may be a while before an update.

I assume he's got a life outside /jc/, a rarity in this place.

Well I am looking for more suggestions on where to send my Renegade jumper again. This time I am only looking for 6 though as I will be adding in a choice of my own.
Here is a list of jumps she has already taken http://pastebin.com/T09QdL3a
>>
>>51640215
The truth is, I didn't care about the power. I just wanted the means to save my old companions from themselves and from the temptation of the Fruit. So if it meant using a piece of it for myself, then so be it. In return...Sagara would follow my adventures from this point on, and witness what would undoubtedly be good inspiration for new ‘evolutionary potential’. I had encountered so many different enemies that I had absolutely no doubts he would see what he wanted. But he would never infest those worlds so long as I still lived.

Almost miraculously, he agreed, but noted that he had a ‘down payment’ in mind. He handed me a particular Lockseed. A second seed of the Golden Fruit - and my new wild card in this game. My new power on top of my already-existing combat experience let me tear my way into the Overlords and into Helheim, where I confronted my former allies, one by one.

I didn't strike them down. I never had any intent of that to begin with. I reached out. I pleaded. But I had the strength to back it up, too. I wasn't the scared and confused man they had met before, that needed guidance and protection...I had found my resolve to fight. It wasn't just for my own survival - it was for their sake, too. If we were stuck together, then they were my responsibility, weren't they?

Some are easier to convince than others. Tsundachi - Sakura - nearly used her true power against me - she had planned to use the Forbidden Fruit to try and send me back home. I only stopped her by tanking a powerful blast and embracing her.
>>
>>51640371
Thread gives better evidence for warding off shitposters.
>>
>>51640378
You should send them to Enter the Gungeon
I wonder what in their past they want to redo the most.
>>
>>51640388
When the time came for a decision on who would possess the fruit...I dropped out of the race, and let Kaito and Kouta settle their differences alone. Sagara was confused and a little bit upset with my choice, noting that I would certainly regret our deal - for once I died, nothing would stop him from ‘testing’ Earth again, as he promised.

I pointed out that my age had been continually reversing itself for the past years. And I planned to live for a very, very long time.

He stared. And laughed. And laughed. Like a good-natured joke had been told between the two of us. He then only said...

“We will see, won't we, now?”

So ended my time in Zawame City - a lot of emotional wounds torn open, a briefly scattered party that struggled to reconcile, and a fruit-shaped sword of Damocles hanging over this world and many others, held in place only by my heartbeat.

And yet still, I cannot seem to return home.

>And if the Jump he makes isn't any better than the current Jump, then it just won't make it onto the Drive, no big deal.
Except most people don't think that way. If they took the time to make a jump, generally if they post it up and get smacked for it, they're most likely not going to bother trying. We've had jumpmakers lose motivation just because people criticized their work in progresses a little bit too harshly, it's not out of the question for a jumpmaker to just give up if they get the proverbial fuck you after finishing a jump. Just like how you don't think you can finish what you start, most of the anons here struggle to start a jump.
>>
I'm feeling eco-friendly (okay, okay, I also want something quiet that still goes from zero to ohshit in a second). Is there any jump that offers (for CP) an electric bike with infinite charge instead of a ICE bike with infinite gasoline?

Jump 09: Kamen Rider Neo-Heisei Part 3
Origin: Mystic
Perks:
I Believe In Myself! - I now believe in myself, and become sure of myself.
Grateful Soul - Encyclopedic knowledge of mythological and historical figures.
My Life Will Burn Bright [900] - Soul is now ‘brighter’, shining with hope and good emotions, makes me boisterous and full of life no matter the situation.
All Eyes On Me! [800] - Can ‘attune’ self to the souls of others, taking the burdens of their soul and filling it with my own light, or allowing consensual exchange of spiritual energies.
Heaven's Sage [600] - Creation of Eyecons, which can store the souls of summoned spirits, the living in astral projection states, or the freshly dead. Can also grant them a physical form, even better than in life.
The Soul Will Live On [400] - Summon the dead and departed, and summoning monoliths that lead to the world of the deceased.
Open Your Eyes! [100] - Is a ghost. Can become intangible and invisible to non-spirits at will, gain a Ghost Driver with an ‘Ore’ Eyecon representing own soul, empowered by the strength of said soul. Also get a neat ‘combined’ weapon to go with it.
Humanity is Infinity [300] - Able to enter an emotional ‘plane’ of sorts, either reading the emotional landscape of an area to understand its history and peoples, or the emotions of a group of people. Can also enter dreams and thoughts of others and interact with people there. Can ‘synchronize’ with strong emotions to bolster soul's power, giving an emotion-based technique for existent spiritual power or healing corruption/damage to own soul. Can potentially unlock the Infinity Soul, but unlikely to pull it off here.
Phantom Phlame [0] - Make gear that can affect spirits/ghosts, like the Gun Gan Saber and various attachments.

Items:
Watch This! x2 - 16 Eyecons. [0]
Jumper x Rider Heisei Generations x2 [100] - Combine Ghost Driver and Eyecon Driver with Kivabat.
Ghost Tags
Go Go Ghost-o [0i] - Eyecon Driver.

The Secret of Some Lie [200]

So it turns out that making a deal with fruit Satan was going to backfire in a fashion I hadn't expected. Namely, that my body wasn't receiving the Invess ‘transformation’ correctly and it was steadily killing me, something Sagara gleefully pointed out. During one moment I went out cold, I met a mysterious old man who told me the secrets of the Eyecons and that a wish from the Great Eye could bring me back to normal.

And so, that's when we came to the final adventure of my time in the world of Kamen Rider, seeking Eyecons while dealing with the fallout that had happened in Zawame, all to keep this world safe. No, I don't give a fuck about the world I found the BBS in, they can get eaten by Sagara for all I care. It's cold, but I have no sympathy for them by now.

It was near the end of that run that I finally met Takeshi one last time. He was old - still spry and could put up a good fight, and we teamed up against Shocker once more. But I was young. My age kept dialing back every time I even sneezed near old age. I felt...regretful, seeing my old friend unable to completely be his old self. But he had lived a full life, and while he sometimes wondered if things would have gone differently, he didn't regret his years of being Rider 1.

We also had one last laugh together about me being ‘American Fruit Samurai’.

I had expected...no, hoped to stay in this world longer, even if it meant being here forever. This world of Kamen Rider and those who struggle against evil while wielding its power against it. This world of friends, foes...family.

But fate was not so kind. And so, I said goodbye.

Impressive form from the beginning. There are too many dumb fanfics where Louise summons someone different from Saito and they go right along with the stations of canon until they get to the Guiche fight so they can show off their huge OCP power-dick. It's been done a million times before. I'm far more interested in exploring the implications of Louise summoning some primordial titan and scaring the shit out of everyone, see what happens when she instantly goes from "Louise the Zero" to "Louise, Who Holds the World in Thrall".

>>51639279
Whenever I'm in a super robot series, I make a point of introducing weapon systems which, while technologically/magically advanced, are always founded on principles that would make tactical sense in reality.

I also use a combination of causality dampeners, psychic amplifiers and sheer bloodymindedness to normalise physics in such a way that giant robots suddenly become impractical, oversized targets with massive structural weakpoints.

>>51640648
I kinda Gilgameshed it.

I didn't even bother to to even maintain the pretense of a master-servant relationship, and regularly wandered off to look around the castle. Nor did I do anything overtly supernatural which I didn't pull out of a portal. Also I not-so-subtely kept suggesting she actually do something to earn my service, like studying. Or refining her etiquette. Or just you know, not being such a massive bitch.

I swear the girl was on the verge of a nervous breakdown until Guiche challenged us to a duel and I responded by shattering the summons with a literal wink and twinkle of my eye.

After that, Louise actually started to take my life advice.

So uh. Yes, actually-it was exactly like if Rin had summoned Gilgamesh in the Fifth Grail War.

Far as I remember, Ichika would only be able to use it one or maybe two times at most before having to switch off, which was why he needed the Akatsubaki with it's Kenran Bunto to keep him powered. Why, thank you. I was starting to worry all the retcons in my chain would've made that, you know, increasingly hard to discern in the early days. Dad forbid I retroactively become some sort of hero.

Besides, what I define as "tactically sound" doesn't always jive with mainstream science. Like directed seithr emitters that can zap a pinpoint target on the moon from the Earth. Mainstream science doesn't recognise that antimatter lanturns are a thing, either. Or gravity guns.

I scale up depending on the setting but the point is-it's not necessarily a change in damage output, as it is in logistics. Also, come on, it's far from universally applicable-there's some places it's simply impractical. Like Super Robot Wars. Fuck anything to do with that goddamn bullshit scopedog thing.

You're not understanding. Giant robots are the only thing that can stop the various enemies in super robot settings. Awesome magitech super-weapons will fail, it's just how that works.

Also, the Scopedog actually comes from a Real Robot setting. Possibly the most real of them all, VOTOMS is widely-regarded as one of the more realistic portrayals of mecha in anime. They're small things that are more like over-sized power armor than proper mecha, they mostly maneuver with treads and wheels and just use the legs for getting over rough terrain, their weapons are strong but nothing an IFV couldn't carry, and infantry equipped with anti-armor weapons can take them out if they're smart about it. The "Scopedog kills the Anti-Spiral" thing is just because of everyone getting giant-sized in that level instead of just the Ganmen (because that would be boring, to get most of your forces denied entry to the fight), and because Chirico's superpower is "I killed my dad, I'll kill your dad, fuck you". There really isn't anything his size that he can't kill.

I'm fine with that, if it means bringing a depraved mind like yours to justice.

Also, what the hell does this have to do with banning scarves in Universal Century? Do you think there are people in UC Gundam who have a big thing for scarves, and banning them will derail the setting and make me even madder at you? Because that's just stupid, if it is what you're getting at. Ain't nobody in UC Gundam who cares about scarves. Now, banning stupid face masks, that would be a problem.
>>
>>51640942
Yeah, but the one from Wuxia seems extremely limited in that in can only carry over your strength. No durability, no speed, etc.
>>
>>51640850
>Like Super Robot Wars. Fuck anything to do with that goddamn bullshit scopedog thing.
We only have a jump for Original Generation SRW, you'll never encounter the Abnormal Survivor and his Scopedog of Death. Now, if someone were to make a VOTOMS jump (like I would, if I wasn't empty inside and incapable of wielding creativity), then you'd be at risk of running into Chirico Cuvie. Though there is an expy of him in the Knights of Sidonia scenario, so maybe watch out for that.

I uh...do we actually HAVE super robot settings where that's a hard-and-fast rule? Because now that I think about it the main ones we have are SRW (which is a free-for-all), Gurren Lagann (which doesn't field anything too drastic until the endgame scenario) and-no wait Five Star Stories doesn't count.

I'm not only absurdly out of my depth OOC viewing preferences-wise, but in hindsight I haven't actually been to that many super robot settings is what I'm saying.

You did. That's G Gundam, totally different continuity. And it's Master Asia's sash, not scarf. God, you fucking casual. Actually learn about the series before you go "oh, no, this is impractical and stupid and should be eliminated". Kill yourself.
>>
>>51641057
That'd be great, Red.
>>
>>51641036
Chirico is the stand-in for the setting's equivalent of God, intended to replace a dying control system for the local star system et al, but over the process of his journey he's entirely disillusioned with the idea, and is exposed to the concept of love, only to end up having to fight his way through because "Dad" (acting God) doesn't want his son to be tied to mortal bounds. A lot of the crapsack universe in Votoms is partly Dad's fault, and partly a reflection of how human nature, left to its own devices, has no problems fucking each other over. Chirico himself isn't actually unlucky (his ability is basically pure Luck), and those around him don't actually get fucked over much.

Chirico makes a choice to turn his back on all of that. Later on he basically becomes Space Kenshiro because in spite of being "enlightened" fights find their way to him, rather than the other way around.

>cool mecha series

I suppose this is the part where I'm supposed to say "no u" or "lel stop wanking your setting".

I'm not going to. I genuinely find all of this confusing in a vaguely distasteful way. The mecha settings I DO find cool, like Macross, Knights of Sidonia, Five Star Stories and-yes-Gurren Lagann actually, all make some kind of coherent sense in-universe. It's an old 4chan board meme, because VOTOMs is seen as the pinnacle of old real robot animes. Before SRW became apparently more widely known over in the English speaking part of the world, basically only die hard fans knew what VOTOMs was (It's about as obscure as Dunbine, Dragonar, or L-Gaim). But because SRW Z featured VOTOMs (and frankly Chirico is one of the best units in the game because he's basically Super Amuro on dakkacrack), suddenly new memes came popping up and shit.

The other series mentioned are all jokes because of what they contain. EVOL was joking Incest the Mecha, G-Reco is basically "Let's Soap Opera Hey You Xabungle!". Ideon's ending was basically the legendary meme of the Kill'Em All legacy. Tobikage is another SRW meme where he literally steals kills and money, which, when he showed up in Impact, could mean losing out on necessary upgrades, because Impact was easily three times as long as most SRW games at the time.

Unless you're going to actually dive into the world of mecha you can't really come to terms with any of it well. The memes help sorta, but then they also distort the actual story quite a bit, like how people can spew out memes about the settings in SRW and then be completely clueless as to what the setting even was. (Cross Ange in SRW versus Cross Ange outside of SRW was seriously WOWOW tier)

It's like how no one knows what the crowning jewel of Sasuraiger was, and why people are still disappoint with Jinraiger. (Yes I'm of the belief that Sasuraiger is inherently superior to Baxinger and Braiger, even if Braiger has points for being the original and KHAMEN KHAMEN. Sue me.)

Scott Pilgrim. On the downside, you'll have to go vegan. On the upside, you can also punch craters in the moon with it, and use bass guitars to battle people with.

Exalted's Mind Hand Manipulated's Principle Invoking Onslaught lets you fluff your telekinesis as this. Mob Psycho 100's Esper powers also basically emulate the Mind-Hand Manipulation Charm tree, if you're a natural.

G:TAS's lanturns can do it too, as can the power ring in DC jump.

And Undertale magic can do it if you're a Boss Monster.

Is "most of my chain" the wrong answer?

Because if it is-ever since jump 6 (Shovel Knight) I'd spent a couple successive decades as an adventurer, mercenary and general hired troubleshooter. I figured I just sort of became a bit of a devil may care hardass after a while from social osmosis, and being able to run at several Machs. But the kind who picked his jobs carefully, and did way more bodyguarding than contract killing.

I think the big moment of coldblooded assholery was...Berserk, jump 23. One jump right after Dresden Files' apocalyptic trilogy , to boot.

I spent a decade fighting a shadow war, secure in the knowledge there WAS a higher power up there rooting for the good guys to win.

Then I got dropped somewhere in the total knowledge that the resident higher power wants everything to go to shit, forever.

It just sort of slowly sunk in. Being able to see everyone's sins, with the Sight. Watching actual humans do things that dwarf most of the Dead Apostles' deeds. There wasn't any big moment of revelation; this sort of thing just sort of wears on you until it becomes routine to realise every other guy you meet on the road is a psychopathic killer in the making.

If there WAS a tipping point, though-it would've been the moment I sat down, and calmly decided that Griffith would not only have to die. But die in the most humiliating way possible for a crime he'd yet to commit.

And then I looked back at the army of fanboy thugs I'd been accruing during my adventures, and realised I'd inadvertantly become a Griffith-figure on the way to trying to change the timeline.

And I would've laughed if I hadn't realised hiding the damn Behelit in my warehouse was a terrible, terrible idea.

Avoid walking into the House of Mystery ON CONSTANTINE'S EXPRESS INVITATION at all costs. He becomes its' owner, and can summon those who've been in it at will because of a mystic loophole.

Constantine has an evil mentor who got dragged off to Hell, and came back a sociopath. Initially, a lot of PLOT happens because this guy starts rounding up other evil wizards to help him take revenge.

At one point, the team go to an alternate magic dimension because of the magitech they uncovered from the Books of Magic. If you're a human magic user, you'll get a massive boost in power and have some of your buried personality traits exagerated. If you're a supernatural being, your innate powers will go out of control over there until you barely look human-and ESPECIALLY don't go there if you're from the immortal background, because your immortality will be removed rendering you old, feeble and on the verge of death. You'll feel extra-rejuvenated when you come back, for what that's worth.

Finally, much later on parasites hijack the Houses of Mystery and Secrets-and herald an escalating series of events which ends with the gang being transported an Infinite Tsukuyomi-like dream dimension, and awakening the primordial darkness who absorbs and rebirths the DC multiverse. Who...may or may not be this continuity's version of the Endless' mom, now that I think about it.

Anyway, the GOOD news is: In this continuity? Yes, that's fine. For most of the comic, Constantine isn't a bitter wreck of a man whose own incompetence and self-pity is as responsible as his ruthlessness and who delibeterately discards everyone around him to save his own skin. Nor does he seem to have his synchronicity powers; he's just a con artist with a quick mind and some basic magical training. Which STILL leaves him as the member of the team who gets the most shit done, mind you.
>>
>>51642526
My main issue with IBO so far is that the story ended up feeling like a compressed version of AGE, with this emphasis on how hard the Tekkadan and common folk have it that feels tacked on, but then aside from that the plot just ends up feeling rehashed. The worst part is that after RECO I was pretty convinced that the next series wouldn't be original anyways, but I actually liked the way they handled the first part of Thunderbolt. Not sure if that skewed the way I saw IBO.

Eh, they seem to be TRYING-it's just most of them have their own baggage. Deadman and Nightmare Nurse have been around the block, they're just held back by their own inner demons and baggage sometimes. Zatanna and Xanadu are /trying/ to be sensible, but the problem is they keep treating magic like some sort of ironclad set of precepts instead of a web of bullshit to be exploited at every opportunity. Then there's the hanger-ons who treat the whole thing like a regular superhero gig, the traitors-and the Justice League regulars who have little truck with the supernatural.

...aw fuck, what did I just type.

Shit. New problem.

There is a non-zero chance I may have directed my gamma ray burst into an alternate universe version of Dream's mother's naked singularity, if you know what I mean.

Assuming I can't keep that a secret (which is a safe bet when it comes to these guys), how the FUCK are you supposed to explain that to the Endless without Destiny flipping out about someone rewriting his book?
>>
>>51642576
What if I were to buy both of the Houses?

Also what should I watch out for in DC Occult?
>>
>>51642587
Yeah, IBO has a lot of issues. I feel like a lot of the problems it has comes from it not knowing if it wants to be a character-driven piece focused on the personal struggles of Tekkadan, or a plot-driven piece focused on the greater social changes going on in the Post-Disaster timeline. Another big flaw is that Vidar never fucking does anything. When you actually do things you're awesome, Vidar, please do more of them so we can watch. I know you're going to be featured in the next episode, but it's not enough. You had McGills right where you wanted him and just stood there menacingly while going "I know what you did". For someone who named themselves after the god of revenge, you are remarkably sedate.

They're copies, according to CJ. Otherwise no idea; nobody saw the parasites coming, and they impersonated the Houses' consciousnesses on entry.

Oh, that varies a lot depending on which continuities you head near; there's nowhere near enough space to cover them all in one post. The utter fate vengeance wrecked on anyone Constantine was friends with by his evil twin who's a lot more handsy with the synchronicity, Tim Hunter's apocalyptic future magical battle which may or may not take place in the jump's timespan, the convoluted suicide-rebirth of Dream as well as the collateral damage he inflicts along the way, the systematic deconstruction of absolutely everyone who stands in the way of Lucifer Morningstar's mid-life crisis to create his own totality of existence to rule over-culminating in an attempt to destroy the Throne of God so all reality would end failing, resulting in the Archangel Michael's grandaughter, Lucifer and their buds pulling together a trinity of multiverses into one cohesive whole.

You know, that sort of thing.

Not sure which you mean but-oh yeah, plenty of bystanders make it out alive. Though that is good advice. In a nutshell:

-If you sense something that affects the behavior of a lot of people all at once, it generally means indistinguishable from the scenario/drawback foes to your average joe is approaching

-Broadly speaking, the supernatural operates on circumstances, symbolic sympathy and right more than raw power. Never fight a land war with someone on their own domain-and remember that by the same token, anyone who has to travel into yours will be at a supernatural disadvantage. As they will if you have something of theirs-although that's also like a beacon.

-Mortals have fewer rights and obligations than pure supernaturals. There are big, complex alliances that don't like each other very much in-universe. Exploit that.

-Often, what everyone wants one particular person. Without them, their plan collapses. The trick is to tell the interests who want to preserve the world from the ones who want to destroy it.

-Always remember: Against the odds, the protagonists generally resolve everything at the end of the day in a such way that everything that doesn't have something they need or that pissed them off is mostly intact

-Never cut a deal with a lone blonde man.

Protip for visiting DC/Marvel universes: the stupid things will spontaneously asplode from a stiff breeze, never mind a supervillain, so if you can grab one of the few fiat luck perks in jumpchain that particularly specify you'll never be casually ganked as collateral damage in someone else's fight? DO IT.

That way at least you'll survive the various stupid cosmic reboot plots, either by slipping through the cracks into the new series or by the perk arranging to derail them from happening in the first place.

Worldwalker from Dresden Files is the best one I know of, because it gives you mastery of a technique that lets you invoke the spirit of the place your claim as a guardian on top of the other benefits. For VERY significant places? This can be like having a god on your side witi your domain. Magic systems like Gargoyles' Fae-blooded, HP magic and LOTR's Elven Enchantment generally have tricks to achieve it.

I think Master of Magic's system specialises in that actually; there's a specific perk in the jump that lets you keep the domain's benefits outside it too. The Infernal Charm Effortless (insert a Yozi name here) Dominance and the capstone boosted version of Empathic Environment can also cause the area you're standing in to harmonise with your own mystic signature, which is a HUGE deal in a world where location is everything; there's also a Solar Circle sorcery (and therefore accessible to the right Yosi sorcerous initiation) to create a terrain that's very malleable to your power.

Though...if you really just want to survive? Be an avatar. Remembering the bit about domain being a mystically Big Deal, the control over plants for example doesn't just extend to physical vegetation-but the spiritual life energy of all plants on Earth. Even the magical ones. In JLD Swamp Thing's later becomes the mystic muscle of the team, because his attunement to plants is so great /he can affect the House of Mystery/. Oh, and in Hellblazer? A demon lord who has Constantine on the run doesn't even dare show his face to him.

Out of all the backgrounds, all things being equal you'd easily be the hardest to kill without any preptime.
>>
>>51638760
Can you use EVO on robot bodies that are capable of growth and advancement by themselves?
>>
>>51643190
Naruto has Plot Armor, "you will also never die in an undramatic manner" and "you will always have a chance to win or at least run away from any danger you get into".

Gamer has Under My Protection, "things that affect many others (...) won't kill you... unless they were specifically targeted at you".

And there's another one that I'm still searching the drive for.
>>
>>51643377
>the control over plants for example doesn't just extend to physical vegetation-but the spiritual life energy of all plants on Earth.
So would it give you some sort of "You can't die unless all plants/animals/fungi/etc in the world/universe are also dead" effect?
>>
>>51643527
Kind of. It's possible to attack the Swamp Thing's mystic energy directly instead of just attacking the matter he's made of. In theory this can kill him permanently. Though if it's done incorrectly, as happened in canon, instead of killing him it just maims him so that he can't incarnate on the Earth anymore and has to spend a bunch of time hopping from planet to planet while he realigns his chakras. Didn't go well for him, he kind of went crazy for a while due to spending too much time on planets where he was the only sapient being.
>>
>>51643171

Dungeon Keeper should have one, though it's likely fairly small-scale.

Of course, if you're talking metaphysics, there's more than one way to skin the cat - no perks required.

Infecting the land with neutral genetic material, growing nano-fungus roots beneath everything, purchasing it, mapping it, naming it, memorizing every aspect of it... all ways to forge a connection that could reasonably be harness to claim a degree of metaphysical ownership.

Magic in the GURPS Monster Hunter jump is *extraordinarily* flexible, and can create country-wide (if a well-prepared archmage) enchantments (such as "everyone is 30% more intelligent, extremely lucky and lives twice as long") or create a Threshold around it that makes it yours, and imposes stiff penalties on those who breach it.

If there's a Dominions jump yet, that'll probably have something similar.

Rule - Daath - Ritual Path Magic.png
549KB, 879x1206px
>>51643657

Yeah, it's part of the magic-access perks.

As it's based on a tabletop setting, the fluff in the rulebooks is valid - and it's similar to a cross between Dresden Files and MtA magic, but with clearly-spelled out capabilities.

And *if* you were somehow able to access the Path of Nonexistence, which does raise the threat level of the setting considerably, then logic-warping magic would be available - though that may require the taint of Things That Should Not Be.
>>
>>51643705
You probably can't. The Monster Hunters book only lists the main Sephirah, not Daath.
>>
>>51639588
It's supposed to apply to whatever counts as nature itself. Big scale nature spirit, not, like, mook tier ones. Those would probably be willing to listen to you on the grounds of the bigger spirit having declared it adopted you though.

>>51643705
Shit. Now I want to add a perk to let you access Daath. Of course, I also want to add perks to let you access the magic system stuff from the pyramid articles, like rune magic, but then I feel like 90% of the jump would be based on a single sub-origin.
>>
>>51643787

Mm, though the Ritual Path Magic book itself is basically an MH supplement, being an expansion on the basic system that it introduced. Daath is still mentioned as explicitly optional, of course.

Personally though, I could do without fending off qlippothic entities for a decade. The other Paths are more than capable of problem-solving.

In this case, a Create Spirit effect could quite reasonably imbue (or awaken) an area with intelligence or animation (with Matter) to create a Genius Loci loyal to its creator.
>>
>>51643837
Technically, you can already access Daath. You're just accessing the orthodox Daath rather than the version that Alister Crowley invented. Traditionally, Daath (more commonly written Da'at) isn't qlippothic at all, but just a representation of the Sephirot taken as a whole.
>>
>>51643863
Even more technically, the fact that I assume that the Jumper is going to be using Decanic modifiers for their rituals means I'm already assuming they're using the Thaumatology book. [/joke]

In all seriousness though, as a generic GURPS setting, you're free too count whichever Monster Hunter/Ritual Path Magic splats to be part of the setting that you prefer. If I writefag, I know I'd probably count spirit pacts and magical styles as canon, for example, simply on the grounds of them being really cool.
>>
>>51643943

Working on and publicly claimed? Fate Zero (Along with an unholy number of everything else with Fate in the name), God of High School, Distant Sky gauntlet and Noblesse.

Just working on whenever I'm bored and not in the mood for the above? Tales of Berseria, Catherine gauntlet, Seven Deadly Sins, Majikoi, Witchblade (Anime), Feng Shen Jin and various updates to my very old, shitty jumps. Probably a few more, it's not hard making a WIP.

Speaking of Fate. I just finished Extella's campaign mode and I was wondering what your plan was there. It seems like a hard one to make into a jump, what with all the stuff that goes down.

Also I guess the entire Nasuverse outside of one of the Extella timelines is just doomed? Jesus Christ, what is even happening in this setting. Am I missing something or did all this timeline culling/quantum timelock stuff just make the Nasuverse ultra horrifying?

Haven't really thought too hard since it's a ways off, other then realising it's going to have to be sorta similar to Extra in that you probably won't be doing the whole "Stay ten years in this setting" that most jumps have. Might make it a continuation of the Extra jump once I update that perhaps. Like some extended scenario/jump fusion.

Personally I've just started believing that Extra/Extella is it's own bloody multiverse as opposed to the rest of the Nasuverse. Just feels less inconsistent and retconny that way.
>>

>>

>Personally I've just started believing that Extra/Extella is it's own bloody multiverse as opposed to the rest of the Nasuverse.
Could you put in some +0 drawbacks in the other Nasuverse jumps, or say something in the notes that'll let people fanwank that to make that the case? Maybe have that be part of a way to not have to deal with any threats outside of the context of the jump's setting?
>>
>>51644797
>implying that the multiverse in a nasu work doesn't change every two paragraphs, and the work by other authors only slightly less often.
We aren't reading singular stories, but fragments of similar events from multiple multiverses.
>>
>>51644838
Anon, if you want to fanwank that the setting deals with canon as it was at the time, rather then with more recent retcons, you're generally welcome to as long as it's not in pursuit of some dumb bullshit that'll cause trouble. If you want to ignore Extella stuff, feel free too. No excluding outside context threats entirely though, stuff from Tsukihime still exists in the world for example, even if you go to FSN jump.

Don't particularly want to put the same drawback in every jump just for the sake of this but I'm happy to verbally okay treating Extra/Extella as an entirely separate thing from the rest of the Fate jumps, if only because it just becomes such a pain to reconcile with previous info.
>>
>>51644797
>Might make it a continuation of the Extra jump once I update that perhaps

Yeah, that would make a lot of sense considering how direct a sequel it is to the Extra stuff. It would actually be a little strange going into Extella on its own.

I've currently got Addams Family and the Wild Arms series claimed. Work has been slow due to real life, sickness, and virus laden ISOs. I have finally found a good set though.

I also want to make Star vs. The Forces of Evil, but I want to wait on that until the end of season 3. I may work on it earlier if season 2 answers enough questions. I just don't want to have to go back and do a major overhaul due to season 3 shenanigans.

Im confused. Aren't mutants literally humans with x tacked on? Why would something kill them but not normies?
>>
>>51645811

There's a mutant gene that differentiates normal humans from mutants. Using comic book logic to target that gene with a kill command virus or curse or something is highly possible.
>>
>>51645811
The ancestors of the Inhumans are spliced with alien DNA, and mutants are also hinted to have weirdness attached to their ancestors as well.
>>
>>51645969
Funny I thought loads of people in marvel had that gene. Most people in fact. Just that it was recessive.
>>
>>51645811

Because the cloud keeps changing.

Originally Terrigen was lethal to baseline humans and mutants.

But IIRC when Black Bolt (former King of Inhumans) released the cloud into the atmosphere. The cloud mixed with something in the atmosphere and now it only kills mutants.

Then Cyclops got killed by exposure. Emma Frost went crazy with grief, projected a telepathic illusion of Cyclops to make it look like he was still alive to everyone else.

'Cyclops' did something to the Terrigen cloud that reduced it in size, but the Inhumans saw that as ABSOLUTELY HARAM so Black Bolt 'killed' the illusion of Cyclops.

Very few people actually know the Cyclops that Black Bolt killed was an illusion, so the vast majority of people think Cyclops is Mutant Hitler. Even though Emma was just trying to stop the cloud from killing her race. It's retarded.

So for some reason the X-Men are now being portrayed as the bad guys in Inhumans VS X-Men, Marvel's newest shit event, when they're just trying to stop the cloud before it kills them all.

And some of the Nuhumans (Inhumans created via exposure to the cloud and not born in Attilan) are only NOW just questioning whether or not they're the good guys.

Batman should probably get done sometime this month; I've got outlines for the items, companions, and drawbacks section, so all I need to do is come up with some more perks and do the Gimmicks part of the Gimmicks and Powers section.

Fables isn't as far as long since I've been focusing on Batman, and it's a little more ambitious in scope... there are two sets of origins; one set for your history as a Fable, and one set based off of the roles and jobs in Fabletown. There are six in each group.

As for the plot armor; I thought it was just making them tougher+stronger and increasing their healing rate? Granted I'm only a little over half-way through (because of the crossover; I don't want to spoil myself) so there might be something I haven't seen yet. But yeah, and you'll be able to buy the popularity=power thing and take it with you.

They aren't more powerful, just harder to kill. Not even more resistant, they simply can't die.

White Snow was shoot in the face, but she survived and recovered because the bullet didn't hit anything vital. Why? Because she is a super-popular Fable. Jack used stolen gold to make a lot of movies about him so he would become so popular that the other Fables wouldn't even try to kill him when they discovered that he stole them. His plan works, they can't kill him but they still ruin his new life.

1. the shard which was imported into supreme commander . So now I have an unlimited supply of Alpha lanterns.

2.my motorcycle had some Orion engines in the sidecars and a force field to keep the air in along with some inertial dampeners so it was technically a spaceship as well.

3.along with the supreme commander fabrication emitters, gravity beam emitters, and manipulators . The fourth thing in this cross -shaped storage compartment arrangement in my eclipse space habitat modules is some ion thrusters , so it can move from one place in space to another under its own power, but you can't land it whatsoever , so I don't know if you would count that as a space ship or a mobile colony. It's roughly the A three-mile cube right now, but the thing is with the Fabrication emitters and a dark star generator in every section. Its growth is exponential and Limited only by how much gravity it's going to Make before it collapses in on itself, which is a lot considering it's formed from megastructure material and each bus size section is a quarter-mile wide by 2 miles long by a quarter-mile high on the inside

Also kids created adults as a slave race, but they rebelled, tore down what was basically 'Kidlantis', wiped most kids minds so they can't remember, and made it so kids eventually turn into adults.
At least, according to Nigel.

Jumper + Time = Established Canon Blown to Hell and back. But I DO like those drawbacks, yes.

How would it interact with the "you are Taylor Heberts Power" drawback? Would be interesting to see the Hebert at the end of Worm waking up from being shot waking up it the moment Scion appeared with you in her head. Like humanity was being scored, and Cauldron failed Miserably, but since she came out of nowhere and had some success, she gets to take the test now.

It's zany high tech of a basic planetary level. Spaceships, rockets, blasters, jetpacks, y'know, basic sci-fi elements, except most of it's made out of wood and ketchup bottles? That's what 2x4 technology is, basically cool shit made out of extremely cheap and mundane materials that still works just fine, as long as you don't mind attacking people with bubblegum.
There's a moon base, but that's as far out in space as they go, unless you consider the Galactic KND to be canon.

There's also a couple plots that involve, like, turning all the world's children into animals, or mind controlling kids into eating broccoli, or turning everyone into senior citizombies, so, like, I dunno, you might want to stack some defenses to that stuff, though no one ever actually dies if you don't mind chancing it.

That's from a single episode where Nigel Uno does a report in his class talking about all that bullshit, and then his teacher tells him he's full of shit, and then class gets out, and then the teacher's all like "HE KNOWS", and then the episode ends.
Except that in no way explains why kids age then, and the plot is never referenced again, ever.

So personally I look at it about the same as the KND/Grim Adventures crossover, where some anons are like "That means they're totally in the same universe!" and I'm like "That's dumb."
KND had pretty wonky continuity.
Feel free to ignore it.

Apparently they used babby vampires as shock troops or something in the past, but were 2 cute and so they had to be destroyed (via fire) and now making vampire babby is illegal, which is the main source of conflict in the third book (fourth movie?) since Bella got preggars with vampire sperm and birthed a half-human, half-vampire abomination (which are apparently so super fucking rare that the Voltari, who have been around for thousands of years, didn't know they existed, like really?).

Kids Next Door is basically like if kids and their friends played pretend secret agents but it was all real. 2x4 Technology works despite their lasers being stuff like a bottle of mustard glued to a board with a paperclip trigger. Treehouses are gigantic bases of operation. Adults and children who have nothing to do with the secret war are mostly normal.

Things kids like are good, like candy or cartoons, while things that kids hate are bad, like going to the dentist or health food. Everyone and everything pretty much works on children's logic, since the kids, teens and adults are all around the same general intelligence and stuff like a secret icecream temple and tie snakes exist.

Kids, Teens and Adults are all generally stereotypes from a kid's point of view. Kids are awesome and the most varied. Teens are rebellious, hormonal, party loving little shits and the enemies of kids since they're "young adults". Adults are boring, oppressively responsible (subjecting people to suits and sugar-free food), usually pretty dumb.

The worst of the bad guys is "Father" who's kind of like the strict dad stereotype with the pipe, study, "don't you give me lip" stuff mixed with having a black, shadowy mass that covers him and makes him appear as a silhouette. This thing also makes him more evil and gives him dangerous fire powers. It was "inherited" from his father, "Grandfather", after he and his brother overthrew the factory owning, kid enslaving supervillain. He's not so much under its control as it is exaggerating his personality.
>>

See, this is the kind of shit that makes me wonder how EVERY mutant hasn't cracked by now. I mean, they're literally being exterminated by a poison death cloud, and them trying to stop it makes them the bad guys. How is it that there are any mutant heroes at all at this point? Even among super heroes they're outcasts. It just...it gets to a point where it stops being a metaphor for racism and starts being "why the fuck does fucking everything in the universe wants this group dead?".

The biggest group of vamps in the series has passed a number of 'laws' on their people.
One of them is to never turn a child. Because that just creates an immortal kid that thirsts for blood and has superhuman physical prowess.
Children aren't known for their self-control or ability to keep shit on the DL.

So if the big dogs hear about it, and they almost certainly will, they'll track you down, kill the kid, and also kill the vamp that turned them, possibly the whole clan if it's judged that they were involved.

>>51647587
>so super fucking rare that the Voltari, who have been around for thousands of years, didn't know they existed,
To be fair, there's probably not a whole lot of vampires fucking humans in that setting. Since vampire instincts are so strong to begin with, it's likely that any coupling would end up with the woman drained.
It's complete bullshit that the MCs even had a kid, because that was totally a Superman and Lois scenario. Eddie woulda broke her like bag of chips. He had to be careful when he wanted to touch her casually, there's no way he'd be able to hold back when he's finally losing his virginity at 110 years old.

I mean, when you think about it...
No matter how much of the retarded ass backstory you're taking for canon, at the end of the day, adults are just big kids. Similar to real life where there's never any magic moment where you suddenly gain responsibility and sense, adults in KND just kindof have to DEAL with the fact that they're adults, and that involves a bunch of boring adult things.
But they still like to do fun things. They like sweet cereal, and they like it when people compliment them. Father still likes birthday cake, and he tries to get kids to eat broccoli because "nobody likes broccoli! Not even adults! But someone's gotta eat it!"
Adults are branded as the villains, and while a lot of them sorta embrace it, at the same time a lot of them seem like they don't know what that means.
There are weirdly enough some really humanizing moments among the adults; and, conversely, Numbuh One is a giant asshole like 60% of the time.

If you really wanted to "fix" that world, you could try to help kids and adults be happy TOGETHER, instead of constantly trying to shoulder their responsibilities off on the other as they do now.

I preached that in my jump, but didn't have the power to back it up, so I came across as some kind of crazyass hippie.
>>
>>51648204
Well the thing with many cartoons is they aren't supposed to be taken too seriously, because when you do take them seriously you'll end up with problems.

(This doesn't really apply to stuff like Adventure Time or Gravity Falls where the fucked up implications are thrown in there for the people who actually do study what they're watching. Kids Next Door was always about drama and adventure from a kid's point of view so it doesn't seem as likely that they'd have weird or scary intentional implications.)

No. It is not. It has some kissing between teens but that is all, the mom also appears topless in a panel when the boy walks in on them but that is basically as bad as it gets.
>>
>>51648471
>There are weirdly enough some really humanizing moments among the adults

Its funny really, because all Father really wanted to do was make his dad proud, cause his dad always had a fondness for his older brother. And inevitably his dad just doesn't like him.

So you know what, thats exactly what I'm gonna do, I'm gonna spread peace and love everywhere. Probably going to take the form of a teenager solely because almost every other teenager in the setting are hormonal crazed shitlords, so I'd rather act as a positive bridge between kids and adults, rather than act as a negative premonition for what they fear becoming.

>>51648558
The goal was to change how he views the situation, he was once a kid too, and its solely to get his fathers love that led him to be the way he is.
>>
>>51648558

>Father is unlikely to very much change his ways, as even without his black fire suit he was basically the same person without an explosive temper. He still hates immaturity, kids and kid things for the most part.

I'm not even sure what you're saying now. Grandfather is decomissioned before the Jump starts, he got recomissioned and became a supervillain again way later on. A gate to another dimension Hell opens in New York. They obliterate humanity's forces and create a new city called Hellsalem's Lot is built the same night. The city basically becomes a nest of criminals and terrorists from both worlds.

The manga is pretty episodic and follows the misadventures of a secret organization that deals with the threats of the city, trying to sustain an awkward 'balance' formed after the creation of the city, so the world doesn't gets destroyed by accident. Meanwhile, entire neighborhoods being destroyed and having thousands of violent deaths is just another Tuesday for Hellsalem's Lot.

>>51648644

Continuing the KND talk, how exactly do the gender-changing rifles work?

I mean obviously it switches people's genders when you use it on them, but in the show it doesn't just do that.

It makes anything it hits 'girly' or 'boyish'.

You would think using a Girl rifle on someone whose already a girl wouldn't do anything right? Except in canon it turned Numbuh Five into a stereotypical girly girl.
>>
>>51648767
So your real reason for wanting to kill him is because you want to kill an evil overlord.

He's not an evil overlord anymore, Bancho. He's a senile, powerless old man. His empire is gone, his powers are gone, hell. his memories and identity is gone. All he remembers is that Nigel's dad is his son, and given their interaction at the end of that episode, they get along very well. Chill.

Honestly I think it's less a straight genderflip device and more like a corruptive/mindcontrol/transformation device. It obviously has a very strict definition of what it means to be a "girl" and forces anything it hits to conform to that.
So it's less like like flipping a few chromosones around and more like slamming you into a steel mold.

Amazing how the rifle seemingly didn't affect Numbuh 3 at all. She was either already naturally girly enough that the rifle couldn't do anything more to her. Or she just wasn't hit by it for some reason.

That seems like it'd incredibly useful when it comes to certain enemies.

Just blast them into a girl and they'd be too 'ladylike' to want to fight like they otherwise would.

I have the Not Umbrella item from Resident Evil, but I actually use it for medical purposes rather then making bioweapons. So, cures for cancer, AIDS, and other various diseases were our products instead of B.O.W.s. We're very well known, to the point where we actually got a reputation as "The Medical Company you can trust."

Basically this allows the bearer to create perfect illusions that only other bearers of the eyes can see through. Also switching the field of vision of between two persons is not out of their reach.

yeah she didn't like that and The K.N.D bumped me up a few places on their most wanted list for it.
I made a special point of broadcasting his pleas for mercy so that all Adults would know they are in danger and if they do not behave They're the ones who Are going to be punished severely.

>And you killed Father, who is literally only evil cause his father was evil as fuck and liked his older brother more so he tried to impress him by becoming evil?

I'm not getting your point here. You're admitting he's evil. Would you rather My Jumper channel his destructive and violent impulses toward antisocial ends?

I've got the pharmaceutical company from Resident Evil and Jumper Industries from Earth's Mightiest Heroes. The pharmaceutical company disseminates useful vaccines and drugs to improve standard of living, while also creating and marketing various biotech plants. In some settings they're big on terraforming, make plants adapted to Mars or Venus or whatever to help modify the atmosphere and soil. Meanwhile, Jumper Industries changes drastically from jump to jump, depending on what I think would most influence the setting into directions I'd enjoy. Space technology is a common product, though, giving people greater access to space is a good thing.

I also have the medical company from Resident Evil, although unlike >>51649029, I don't use it for anything crazygonuts.
Well, in terms of altering the setting, anyway.

It's just a medical company. They treat illnesses and make vaccines and antibiotics. "If there's something wrong with you, we can make a pill for it," is... not actually the motto, because that would actually be really fucked up. But it might as well be! We create all kinds of antibiotics, antivirals, vitamin supplements, food and energy pills, etc, etc. It's a real bright spot in an otherwise selfish neutral chain.

Oh, and... they also assist me in collecting medical samples for experimentation, and there's a sub-basement where I can do all kinds of weird shit.
So that's fun.

Other than that, I also have that small company from Captain Planet.
It changes its form from jump to jump, but is invariably some form of eco-friendly factory setup.
Dumping the "eco-friendly" adjective from that is always an option for rapid expansion, but in practice I prefer to just use it as yet another safehouse.
I've shown up once in awhile to crash for a day or two in the chief supervisor's office. Because that's my office. And it makes a pretty good springboard for setting up factories in a jump. But other than that, it's just... there.

Bancho, I just want you to know that whatever pity I once had for you, I no longer have it. There is something legitimately WRONG with you. You are not a good guy. You are an arrogant psychopath. Do us all a favor, and stop posting about your chain, or better yet just leave. The things you come up with...the things you post...they're vile. God of Highschool. It's a Korean comic with major Journey to the West themes while also incorporating figures from other mythologies. The name reflects how it starts off as a tournament for highschoolers for reasons explained later. The end of the initial tournament is the beginning of the actual story, where the main character is revealed to be amnesiac Monkey King and power levels jump up massively.

I like to make usually a tech-derived company, the workers being my "devoted host" companions from Sword & Sorcery. Just a question though Worm_Anon if you see it, can we buy that multiple times?

It depends on the settingh, I could be a tech company that makes computing hardware and or software, maybe I make a medical company that devotes itself to eradicating disease, or perhaps I make large megastructures cause why not?

While not a corporation, I do sometimes in more supernatural settings make some weird SCP Foundation Expy except more morally inclined. Again the staff being the devoted hosts, they do some things like recon planets for biological diversity, defeat enemy cells and other things that are more fit for a foundation dedicated to punching the evil supernatural in the face.

I think it all depends on whether or not Jumpers know beforehand that they are going to be meeting other Jumpers. As much as most of us would have powerful methods for gathering information, just as many of us have ways of dodging said abilities. Me personally, I tend to casually scrub away toxic influences in the minds of others around me passively. If I knew that I was going to meet another Jumper, I would keep to myself out of respect, but if I thought they were somebody mundane, I wouldn't hesitate to try and sift through their mind to find what ails them. Odds are high that they would retaliate, possibly without even intending to, and afterwards they would probably think I was hostile, and worried if I manage to survive their defenses. I'm fairly forgiving and pacifistic, but I don't hesistate if I think something presents are clear and present danger to myself, my Companions, or innocent folks around me, so things would probably further escalate form there.

I started standing in front of the bus to get it to stop when I was late,I figured I wasn't really going to have a life unless I got the degree so my existence until I got that degree or if I didn't get the degree didn't matter.. right now I'm trying to do some web study for search engine optimization My mom has some gigs for me lined up with her artist friends when I complete the training so there is some hope . But I'm never going to do anything in law. please someone help me.

Eh, it just happens that way around here. People can hardly be bothered giving everyone a play by play of their chains, so those with names often get associated with the big things they've mentioned or certain personality traits. People remembered me for stuff like that too until they forgot. I think I like being forgotten sometimes, I don't know how to talk to people about shit.

>>51650045
I mean, Bancho would probably call it a good thing and feel proud of it.

Lots of reasons. The mecha designer behind that series is worse than Nasu when it comes to power escalation. The history of that series is so complex that trying to pin down what MH you're asking about is ridiculous. There's no clue whether some of the old MHs still exist, despite knowing the fact that MHs can become isolated from time and space to preserve themselves. Some MHs have an Infinity Generator, which does exactly what it says. Other MHs are nigh sentient mecha wizards that somehow generate the elements out of nothing. Several MHs compare against Demonsbane because of rampant power escalation and Dragons.

It's a convoluted mess, FSS isn't a jump made for people who don't know the series, because once you do know the series, you realize just how many exploits there are hidden within, exploits intentionally put in there by Nagano himself.

Jumper Enterprises (Batman The Dark Knight Trillogy) has been following me around for a long time. It's staffed by loyal, competent folks. In addition, to that t I have Company (Spider-Man Trilogy) to create a 'rival' so that there is a bit of 'pressure' to be on the bleeding edge of tech. I own a newspaper (Spider-man Trilogy) and a bit of real estate (Monopoly) have connections to several criminal empires (Spice and Wolf and Samurai Deeper Kyo) which are following my Companions around. Thanks to NuTrek we're breaking into the Medical and Pet Markets with a hell of a leg up, various medical breakthroughs and tribbles to be exact. In addition to all that I own one of the only Multiverse spanning Ahnenerbe Cafe (Carnival Phantasm) branches that I know of, I'm sure others have done it too though. I have an entire bureaucracy that carries over to places I rule (Hyperdimension Neptunia) and finally I have a carry over 77 square mile settlement that follows me around in a parallel timeline (Dark Cloud 2).

I most deal in all kinds of stuff, which if it wasn't for dummy companies would be very illegal at this point, and as of right now I'm in a legal gray area considering I don't technically own any of the horizontal or vertical monopolies that make up my corporate empire. It also is likely the only buyer and seller of some the things I buy and sell, I use the Faustian Bargaining set up (Ghost Rider & Once Upon a Time) along with Infernal Contracts (Ghost Rider) to do my business in peace, which gets into how I do my deals but that's another story.

Sorry got off track there.

You know if aging is an actual disease in the Kids Next Door universe, what happens if you cure it? Do kids just never grow up?

The Gamer Driver from Kamen Rider Neo-Heisei Part 3 has an added bonus effect of being able to cure any disease by converting it into a Monster of the Week so you can beat it up.

The G:KND would be VERY interested if they found someone who could cure adulthood.

Around Gundam level. Their engines are listed as having trillions of horsepower, but they do not perform at a level to support that. Either they're the least efficient designs ever, or this is one of those cases of sci-fi writers not doing their math. But yeah, they're pretty standard mecha fare. Beam swords and rifles, regular swords and rifles, some weird giant boomerangs, stuff like that. The most impressive thing they have are "buster launchers", which are somewhat inconsistent in whether they're energy weapons or shell-firing ones. Either way, they're nuclear-level armament. There's one specific buster launcher, the Twin Towers, that is ridiculously oversized even for the triple-sized Mortar Headd that equips it, but makes up for how cumbersome it is with enough firepower to destroy planets. Not in one shot, the Twin Towers take repeated firing to destroy a planet, but they can do it. It's a major outlier, though.

Therapist told him specifically never to come back into the thread. They literally told him that he was only hurting himself. He refuses to listen to his therapist and just stop. Either he kills himself or he goes crazy and kill someone else but at this point it seems more likely that he will kill somebody else, and the money I would rather he killed himself than to inflict that on somebody else.

I have a food line called "The Humble Moth Foods" following me around that I make money off of. It's also a chain of gelato stores and cafes.

I don't really manage it but I have some people do it for me at this point. I have more important things to do, like fucking off and beating up bad guys and giving unwarrented advice to people in the higher ups

They most likely told him not to come back to this thread because he was becoming to dependent on escapism, like most people in the thread now but I won't let him kill himself
>>
>>51650326
You can't stop him either.

Frankly I believe he could do it, I Believe In You Bancho you can do it!
>>
>>51650326
Speaking as someone who is getting an actual psychology degree, it's not the escapism that's the problem, it's the fact that Bancho is trying to get attention from a place that hates him and it's literally hurting him.

Fuck off and stop pretending you know shit about psychology.
