Unknown Armies is a horror game that I feel can best be described as somewhat of a mashup between the personal horror of World of Darkness, and the focus on sanity and general feeling of powerlessness of Call of Cthulhu.

My own game is set in Detroit and has a heavy focus on investigation/mystery and roleplaying.

I think he means that, by having a sole author, the game will have one artistic vision for the game/setting combination to flow towards. When making a game like horror or in a really gonzo setting this is actually a really good thing because it means that, at least with a competent creator, all rules and fluff will match up to create a perfect storm of mood and theme playing together.

Looking for 1 or 2 players max. Demon is a very 'intimate' game not suited to large groups.

The basic premise for those unfamiliar, is that you're a fallen angel who got locked in hell by God for rebelling against him, and have spent millenia in there, languishing. You broke out, possessed a weak willed mortal - probably a suicidal one - and now have to decide whether you're going to keep up with the cause that got you imprisoned or not. Either way, you have to deal with the Torment that all that time in hell has given you and evade all the things that would love to kill you.

It’s only a 30 minute drive back to Anchorage, but deep in the forests creatures play. Werewolves hunt the grounds, and Pentex drills deeper and deeper into the so-called Oil Fields, searching for something. But you? Welcome to Red Oak Lodge – a small chantry in the Alaskan Wilderness. You and your fellow acolytes will be treated to private rooms; warm baths and a kitchen that’s always stocked. Yet, in the basement an old portal flickers back to life; offering a view of a world that never was, a world that could have been, and a world that never should be.
Major Themes: Philosophy, Werewolves, Pentex, Dimension Hopping, Magic, Drugs, Action, Adventure.

Nothing kills my desire to play faster than a GM who stutters and stammers while trying to describe something while using the same adjective twice in a sentence because despite being creative and a good storyteller in the emails he sends out after sessions, he never took a course on public speaking. I'm just thankful he doesn't have one of those five internet voices that make you want to reach through the computer screen and push your thumbs through his eyes to get him to stop talking through his nose, which I unfortunately can't say for one of the players.

It's a lot easier for some people to compose their thoughts in text where they can see if they're about to say something dumb or inarticulate before sending it.
