I saw most of their half in the bag on it and it was just Mike whining that a bunch of fans made a movie that was different than how he, as a fan, envisioned it should be.
Really pretty pedantic and petty.
His movies on the prequels and TFA were mostly pretty spot-on, but now that the original trilogy is being touched, his autism is starting to pique.
>>
Anyone think Improved/Superior Precise Strike are a bit OP? I'm not sure if there's a catch not covered in the forum leak but they seem fairly ridiculous for dealing with bosses.
>>
>>51470416
The worst Supreme can do is inflict staggered, and if PCs are reliably landing crits on your bosses something is probably wrong anyway.
>>
>>51470644
Well, Staggered is pretty much 'you lose'.
Most PCs perhaps, but some PCs are crit-focused, and getting a Crit 2 or even Crit 1 weapon isn't that hard. Getting 1 Success 1 Advantage against, say, Adversary 3 with 2 Defence, is pretty reasonable.

Or getting a Triumph, ever, regardless of Crit rating.

Triumphs don't auto-trigger crits though?
>>
>>51470889
Where is your campaign at right now?
>>
>>51470894
Yeah, you spend them on Crits. You have to hit, but getting 1 Success ever isn't that difficult. I understand that Critting a boss isn't strictly easy, but with these Talents you only have to do it once and now they're stunned for the rest of the encounter. There are very few ways around that and the GM would have to shoehorn them into each Nemesis he puts out.
>>
>>51470900
Basically just wrapped up Trouble Brewing with my roommates. They killed Dobah, stole his YV-666 and sold the glitterstim to the Hutt. That's pretty much it, they don't have much in the way of outside connections/benefactors.

I can think of a handful of single-session type things (eg., someone comes looking for Dobah's ship, an obligation comes calling), but I can't think of a way to tie it into a longer-term story.
>>
>>51470923
Crippling shot is about as broken. And a good technician can just say the BBEG's lightsaber is broken if they have their high end talents.

Although I'd probably houserule it so Staggering and Blinding aren't on the table, honestly. Or make it so you can only alter a hard crit into a different hard crit
>>
>>51470929
What obligations do your players have?
>>
One Nemesis is a boss-level challenge for a party of 4, right?
>>
>>51470929
Obligations can fuel a pretty good set of longer term arcs. What are the obligations you have to work with?
>>
>>51470943
Depends.
>>
>>51470943
One nemesis can be a huge range of things, it's not really a specific measure of power.

You've got the gang together, now you need to do some long term thinking
>What the characters are like
>Their obligations, ambitions and motivations
If you don't have the latter- GET THEM, if they're being coy or dicking about coming up with their characters ideas, slap their shit

Then there's the next step
Main body of the campaign, tailor it to what the characters like to do, then the 'bad guys' will shit all over their dreams and desires.
This is many adventures

Last step sometime down the track is to come to the conclusion, where they confront one another
>>
>>51470941
>>51470945
The aggregated obligations are:
>Exile
>Obsession (be the very best mechanic)
>Antagonist (Imperial officer)
>Antagonist (Former business partner)
>Debt
>More debt

I have no idea how to work with exile/obsession for long term. Maybe something with the two Antagonists coming together?

>>51470960
Their characters are actually decently established. Maybe I'll just ask them what they'd like to see in the story?

At some point down the road, I want them to start working for the Rebellion.
>>
>>51470983
>Maybe I'll just ask them what they'd like to see in the story?
This is always a solid idea. When I was floundering with direction for my campaign I talked to my players and they made it clear they wanted to establish their characters as career criminals and build a proper criminal empire. So I shifted gears to giving them the opportunity to do that, and made them work for it, and it's gone great so far.
>>
>>51470416
I mean yeah, it can be pretty rough, but not relying just on the Martial Artist tree alone.

There isn't much in the way of survivability for somebody who has to get up next to people (only 2 Parry, only 2 Toughened, no Enduring, Coordination Dodge requires Destiny flips), there's nothing to up Brawl damage (like Feral Strength) to help actually ensure you deal that 1 point on Wound damage to crit. I mean sure, you can grab some equipment to help compensate, but you still need to get some decent progress in 2 different trees to get close to something that might be broken; and that's more xp for less pay-off than some other broken talent combos in the game.
>>
Hey guys, I got this starter box and I'm gonna run it for some guys at my local store soon. I've been reading through and getting my head around the rules and stuff, and grabbed the extra pdf adventure and two more characters.

Question is, can I use those two other characters right from the start too if I want to have more folks at the table or give folks choices? Or are they only designed for the second half of the content?

are there stats for TR-8Rs stun baton in RPG?
>>
>>51471346
If his points had real merits, more people here would use his points in their arguments, don't you think? I liked the prequels as they were, flaws and all, and despite those flaws i am not one for altering what's in the films to fit my headcanon, only using my headcanon to fix the flaws that have been identified.
>>
>>51471417
And by flaws I mean plot-holes and issues with continuity.
>>
>>51471372
Not the First Order model specifically, the RPG is set purely in the GCW era. There's a generic "Stun Baton" and a generic "Stun Club" which would work fine though.
>>
>>51471417
I think the reason you don't see more people using his points here is that the sort of people who follow YouTube channels like BelatedMedia aren't generally the same sort that hang out on 4chan. Most of my normie Star Wars friends bring him up constantly when talking about the prequels.

I'm personally also a fan of the prequel trilogy, Phantom was the first movie I ever owned and is definitely one of my top 5 most watched. I just think he offers a neat alternate-timeline that could be fun to explore.
>>
>>51471493
Perhaps for a Tabletop game session yeah, I could see it. As far as I've seen most "normies" don't analyze star wars the way any in-depth fan does, so your friends aren't any more normal than you they're just not 4chan users.
>>
>>51471493
This >>51471524 said. Now having watched his videos, I really don't like his ideas. Some of them were an improvement, yeah, but most were him simply deciding to rewrite the whole thing rather than improve on what was already there flaws or not. He said in his hypothetical universe where he was a Fox exec, he acted like he would have actually said no to Lucas or that execs actually get that involved, especially where geniuses like Lucas are involved, they don't. That is precisely why he never got called on the flaws and continuity issues presented in the prequels. Most of the issues can be fixed with TV shows and other media, and I assume Lucasfilm under Disney is working on that.
The other thing I dislike with his ideas and story changes did not seem inspired or epic or legendary, simply mediocre ways to make the films more consistent with his previous alterations. Nothing he says seems better than what we got, only different, and his different is not my idea of whats better.

I recently read Darth Plagueis, and no, Dooku wasn't Sith by the time of TPM. He doesn't even leave the Jedi Order until around the events of TPM (in fact, the events surrounding it are part of why he decides to leave, sort of the straw that broke the camel's back).

Dooku also wasn't the leader of the separatist movement, because there really wasn't a separatist movement yet.

Obsession is at its most useful when it causes the players to make bad choices.

In the case of (being the very best), I think I would be tempted to play on it in two ways:
1) Introduce a mechanic with a lot of financial backing who is better than the PC - and is an ass about it.
2) Make it appear like actually, maybe, if he had the resources, and good equipment, he could exceed this guy.
3) Then bring in the Antagonist (Former Business Partner) with a windfall, a vengeance, and apparently now an opportunity to tear the party apart by funding the obsessive PC.

That also allows you to make the Imperial Officer antagonist a lot more of an immediate threat type character - which differentiates the two obligations. One is petty, nasty and vicious, the other is powerful and aggressive. Both are roughly as dangerous.

The Business antagonist could even be willing to patronise the entire party, what with all their debt. Keep the character with the obligation on their toes, and looking a little crazy when he is suspicious at every turn.
Make sure to give him his payoff, too.

Exile is a tough one, because it ties things to, I think a very particular character arc. At some point, make it make sense for the party to go back to the Exile's home.
Before then, make sure their past catches up to them every now and then. A guy in a bar, an awkward tussle in a spaceport. Help the player define the whats and whys of the Exile - the important thing is how the character feels about it. It is a burden and obligation even if they are still in that rebellious 'doesn't bother me' phase.

After looking through the Starships of the Galaxy book, I might have to go with that. I was looking for something less civilian smuggler oriented and something more assault carrier based; something that could take a beating, dish one out, and carry 5-15 personnel halfway across the galaxy in needed. I dunno though, I might just end up designing something to suit my needs better. The guides don't exactly have a lot on Sith Empire warships.

He comes up with a much better story for the Prequels, but finding a group of players that would agree with it will likely be prohibitive. Plus, the changes made there will reverberate through extra material that builds on the Prequels that was actually good like Clones Wars, Rebels, and some of the comics and novels.

Different anon here. How is Dexter the only person on Coruscant, and outside of Palps' conspiracy, who knows about Kamino? Why did nobody in the Jedi Archives notice that their Kamino records were tampered with, and why did nobody keep a backup of the files?
>>
>>51479923
Dude, I didn't say I saw any when I first watched them. I can't think of any plot holes off the top of my head. I guess perhaps the flaws I saw and headcanoned out were all continuity issues with them and the OT, like Leia's memories of her mother and the shortened time for the DSII and what these two fine anons have pointed out.
>>51479985
>>51479989
>>
>>51479989
>the only person
When on earth is that implied? Obi-Wan went to Dexter because he knows that Dex is a worldly (galaxyly?) guy and has far reaching connections and knowledge. I imagine there are a number of people who know about Kamino (though probably mostly wealthy nobles and the like who can afford a high-end clone, Kamino is a secret, far-flung planet beyond the Outer Rim it kind of tracks that its little-known).

>why did nobody in the Jedi Archives notice that their Kamino records were tampered with?
Imagine you're a librarian in a library so ridiculously enormous it would take one hundred readers one hundred life-times to read through all of it. How in the hell would you notice that a single, tiny piece of the most fringe knowledge possible had gone missing?

To make an analogy: would the librarian at the world's biggest library notice that a single-page entry about a 400 person village in Kazakhstan had been removed from a single book? Probably fucking not.

As to the actual deletion, I imagine that Sifo-Diyas was very careful in removing the information without making it obvious that it was missing.

>why did nobody keep a backup?
I imagine that Sifo-Diyas or a different agent deleted the backed-up files.

Of all of the "plot-holes" I've seen raise,d this has to be the least reasoned one I've read. The whole bounty-hunter hiring an assassin to send a droid to deploy some poisonous worms to kill a poorly-defended high-profile politician is a WAY bigger (and actually reasonable) gripe with AotC.
>>
>>51479985
>>51479989
These are unanswered questions not plot holes. Some people assumed the same with Prometheus like for example the Black Goo. It deliberately left vague but it's not a plot hole.

>>51480013
> Leia's memories of her mother and the shortened time for the DSII
Infant Leia stares at Leia unlike Luke who cries. Leia gives Padme a very long look too. You can argue infants can't remember details but remember this is a series which features telekinetic magic powers.

The Death Star is easily explained; building the actual station was never the problem. The frame of it was done in less than 5 years. the problem was getting the superlaser to work correctly. It's incredibly easy to build a structure when you have billions of workers and droids. It also helps to know they built it before.
>>
>>51480257
>How in the hell would you notice that a single, tiny piece of the most fringe knowledge possible had gone missing?
Probably by having droids that can parse that information in seconds.
>>
>>51480257
That one is just overconfidence on both parties sides, the assassins and Obi and Ani's.
>>51480334
I said I'd already headcanoned it out and the death star one was stolen form the youtube moron up above.
>>
>>51480369
And presumably a sizable staff of OJO rookies who don't have anything better to do. Given how seriously the main OJO members take their jobs, it stands to reason that the guardians of one of the galaxy's greatest information repositories would also keep a close eye on data editing records.
>>
>>51480369
Most droids aren't really that smart and most Jedi dislike using them. Also established only Jedi/Sith can fuck with the archives.
>>
I'd like to preface this all with the statement that I don't really care about stuff like this; Star Wars is a whimsical and high-flying space fantasy opera adventure, if stuff like this really detracts from your enjoyment of it you might be better suited to a different genre.

>>51480370
I mean, just the use of worms to me over a sniper makes no sense. Rare poisonous space-worms would probably be a lot more traceable than a single blaster bolt: everyone has blasters, not everyone has space worms.

>>51480369
>>51480396
It's said that Jedi don't really trust droids all that much. But assuming that the OJO has smart droids designed to check to see if anything is missing: I imagine Sifo-Diyas could have simply erased the Kamino data in a way that made it appear to have never been there in the first place. That, or he could have altered the droids' programming to erase the existence of the knowledge of said data as well.

Re: having rookies at the library. There is NO precedent for information being erased/the archives being tampered with prior to this instance (at least, contemporary to the OJO). The only people that have access to the Jedi Archives are Jedi. Recall that this occurred in a time before the Clone Wars, where large-scale conflict was rare, and the Jedi were still pretty peaceful and undisturbed. There was no reason to constantly suspect that someone was tampering with the archives, being that the only person capable of tampering would be a Jedi. Further, that a respected Jedi Master would be capable of sabotaging the archives would have, I imagine, been completely out of the question.

Yes, I imagine that the archive would've constantly had people studying and helping to run it, the incredibly extraneous nature of the data removed cannot be ignored.

It was a single record of a single,little-known system located literally outside the galaxy. This out of a recorded 50million inhabited systems.
>>
>>51480370
>death star one was stolen youtube moron
It's literally in Catalyst and Tarkin. The Super Laser was the problem. Building a giant station was no problem the kyber crystals were.
>>
>>51480257
You could spin the assassination thing two ways: 1) Nute Gunray is a petty dumbass who either required Amidala be killed as a part of him supporting the CIS or hired Jango as a side job since he was involved in the CIS stuff so they bumped elbows or 2) Dooku wanted the assassination attempt to be high profile and suspicious on purpose to try to trigger the investigation that would lead to the Jedi discovering the clone army, which was key to palpatine's plan to be granted emergency powers. The 2nd option makes more sense but either way it's pretty convoluted. I like the Obi Wan Investigates plot line though it's pretty cool and involves a lot of exciting set pieces
>>
>>51480943
Your second point actually makes a lot of sense. the Obi-Wan investigation was my favourite part of the movie.

I kind of wish we could get a TV-series ala Clone Wars, or maybe even live-action, about Jedi investigators.

there aren't that many plot holes, as the plot isn't the major problem with the prequels.
How that plot is presented, there are some massive problems there.

There are some premise holes, but those aren't the same thing. Stuff like "how the fuck does Naboo's government function?", or "twf can the trade federation legally do/not do because they make no damn sense as a legal entity under a unified government", or "how can the Jedi have such extreme requirements for training and staying a Jedi, but force sensitives who aren't Jedi somehow not a thing that comes up".
But all those are problems with the basic premises for the plot, not the plot that comes from those premises.

How does Bespin's government work? How does the Ewok chieftain system work? What's the government situation on Tattoine? It's irrelevant to the plot.

>twf can the trade federation legally do/not do because they make no damn sense as a legal entity under a unified government"
It's explained in the movie. They're having a trade dispute where they are blockading the planet. The invasion was illegal but they did it in a way to prevent evidence until Sidious took control. Its extremely clear Palpatine lied to the Trade Feds for the whole thing.

>"how can the Jedi have such extreme requirements for training and staying a Jedi, but force sensitives who aren't Jedi somehow not a thing that comes up"
when has this ever been an issue? We've RARELY seen force sensitive individuals in Star Wars untrained. Cirruit and Leia and special cases because the Jedi were gone but again none of this is relevant to the main story plot.

except that a major member of the Naboo government is a major character in the plot, the political relationships with the Naboo government is the starting conflict of the plot, and unlike those other three systems the government in Naboo actively does not make sense.

Also
>Bespin
A single business enterprise ran by Lando on an otherwise uninhabited system, no true government but technically under the power of the Empire.
>Ewoks
appears to follow a standard tribal system with a singular chieftain adviced by elders.
>Tattoine
Criminal capitalism controlled by the Jabba the Hutt.

Nearly all ranked talents tend to be shit if you go down a route that has almost no ranks in it. If you do get all the ranks in the tree, and the improved version, you're easily dishing out 3-6 threat to multiple people for 3 strain that can apply to any check, not just combat ones. So if the people you're distracting are playing sabacc or negotiating with your ally, you can really fuck them over.

Deceptive Taunt is pretty great as well. You taunt the fucker and just book it. And they're chasing your around, unable to do anything else until they finally get a hit on you, which could potentially be never if you're using Coordination Dodge. Not to mention the non-combat applications where you can taunt somebody and get them kicked out of an event for knocking you on your ass.

Not everything is about combat, especially a specialization about being a performer.
>>
>>51484438
How do you get more than one threat to work with it? The NPCs you use it on only suffer one, and upgrading only increases the range.

Untrained Force users tend to not do much if anything with their talents, at most they'll be really good at one or two things - kind of like Anakin being really good at fixing things and piloting.

Also, the prequels were about the downfall of the Jedi - untrained Force sensitives don't really have a place in the story for those films.
>>
>>51484438
>You taunt the fucker and just book it. And they're chasing your around, unable to do anything else until they finally get a hit on you, which could potentially be never if you're using Coordination Dodge.
They just have to attack you next turn. That's it. They don't have to hit.
>>
>>51484458
You're right, my mistake in glossing over it. So while it's not nearly as effective as I mistakenly said, and is only 1-2 threat, that's still 1-2 threat you're dishing out at up to long range, which means you can be at a pretty safe distance. The much smaller amount of threat likely won't be especially effective, but it can be enough to stop a critical from happening in combat, or could help lightsaber users in getting the threat they need to use improved parry/reflect.
>>
>>51484542
But that means you have to nearly finish a tree so that you can become incredibly average at combat support. And it's only stretched to medium range, since it starts at engaged and the Improved version doesn't count as a rank in the original talent.
>>
>>51484542
Or you could just kill the fucker using a non shit specialization.

If you mean straight up purely untrained, they didn't really do a whole lot, and generally couldn't do a whole lot. Training was usually necessary to focus that power into a useful form. If you just mean Force wielders who weren't trained in the OJO's ways, then Legends had plenty of obscure Force traditions with their own methods and doctrines. For OJO recruits who simply couldn't git gud, they got sent to the AgriCorps and other benchwarmer divisions of the OJO.

what if they decided, after being fully trained.
"you now what, I'd like to get married"".

Also what did Palp do about the tens of thousands or more of untrained or half trained force sensitives
>>
So I'm probably opening a can of worms but here goes.

So we were having our first Age of Rebellion session. The only real "house rule" if you could call it that is that the Force Sensitives have Morality in addition to Duty.

So the party droid has an ion blaster and gets the drop on two storm troopers knocking them unconscious during a firefight while the other four troopers are killed. No biggie, happens in combat. The entire combat's over in a couple of seconds and nobody else in the base seems to have heard it so they don't have to worry about reinforcements.

Thing is as they're assessing the situation the Exile decides to kill the two unconscious troopers. He justifies it by saying the troopers would have woken up eventually and might have alerted others to their presence.

It may have been motivated by pragmatism but he still killed helpless opponents when he could have bound, gagged, and hid them. I even pointed out that he would be finishing off somebody who can't fight back but he shrugged it off.

Now admittedly if those troopers were bound and woke up a couple of hours later they could have possibly escaped. Still I felt the action warranted conflict points which unsurprisingly led to a morality decreased.

Do you all think I handled it well? I think I did but at the same time giving him the full 10 conflict for murder suggested in Force and Destiny might have been a little too much.

Thoughts swg?

>the Exile decides to kill the two unconscious troopers.

So the thing is, this is Space Opera.

The troopers wouldn't wake up until the plot demanded it.

The conflict here isn't that the player thought "gee, this reveals an interesting pragmatic/dark aspect about my character". It's "gee, this makes a fuck ton of sense in D&D. I should do that or the GM is going to fuck me over later."

It's a setting expectation.

I'd go over the tone and nature of a space opera game with the player, rescind any points, and chalk it up to a learning experience. Say "If you want to do this in the future, that's fine, but it's not a requirement of the setting. It should be used to further the development of your character, but not to punish an action that would be 'sensible' in a grittier, less heroic game."

Just try and get on the same page as the player.

If the player says, "No, it's cool, that's what I wanted, and I knew about the expectations of the setting," then sure, give 'em the points and be done with it.
>>
>>51483700
>Naboo actively does not make sense
How? Padme is acting queen with a powerful council of advisers. We've had similar kingdoms and governments in real world history. Some even younger than Padme.

>A single business enterprise ran by Lando on an otherwise uninhabited system
We know he's an important administrative but we dont know if he answers to a city council or has elected mayors.

>standard tribal system
Tribes can be extremely complicated with complex hierarchy and family structures. One tribe adopts the Rebels but its otherwise irrelevant.

>Criminal capitalism controlled by the Jabba the Hutt.
We never find this out until ROTJ or TPM when we learn that actually control the entire system because its a plot point for Anakin's slavery.

The Jedi were pretty arrogant and complacent in the prequels. They didn't think they needed that many members.

>>
>>51485068
In that player's defense, just because the movies and setting are Space Opera doesn't mean that stuff like that is completely wrong. A tabletop game is generally going to deal with a bit more grit simply because it involves player choice rather than a film railroad to the finish. Thinking about how your actions of inactions have consequences is important. Yeah he deserves conflict for his actions, but making people choose between ethics and results is kind of the point of having conflict. Now if he's merely doing things because he's meta gaming/ assuming it's always him vs GM that's bad role playing, but it is all out war against a cruel and powerful Empire. You can have a good feels campaign about saving the galaxy and still have Han shoot first from time to time

My whole post can be summarized as "Only penalize players for actions that violate the tone of your game /if/ the tone of the game has been made clear."

In a Rogue One style game, where the expectations had been made abundantly clear, I wouldn't give any points for this.

In a Return of the Jedi style game, sure, it's worth points.

But it really depends on the tone of the game and the tone of the scene. The players and the GM need to be on the same page.

Also, this isn't on the player. It's on the GM. Their game, their tone - and their job to communicate it clearly and unmistakably.
>>
>>51485189
I'd still give conflict in a rogue one style game; a key point of the movie is that Cassian feels shitty about the kind of stuff he has to do. But I agree with you the players and GM need to be on the same page about what they want out of the tone of the game.

Right. Cassian feels bad about gunning down an ally. He'd feel /less/ bad about casually shooting two downed stormtroopers in the middle of a fight/chase, but he might feel worse if there was a long pause where he was able to contemplate his actions.

It's all about context and tone.
>>
>>51485102
>we've had similar governments
no we haven't
Because Padme was elected to the top executive office, which was weirdly called a queen, for a limted term, as a teenager.
Then at the end of her term, was elected as the Senator top legislative body that exists, barely out of her teens.

If it was an actual monarchy it would be like systmes we've had, but it's not.

And yes we do know that about Lando, Han and Lando tell each other this.
>>
>>51485009

Remember, intent and action.

Action is killing somebody helpless, two of them at that. That's the full blown 10+ normally. Maybe down a couple points if you know they're really evil and bad. Intention is "I don't want to deal with these guys again". That's pretty cold, calculating. The path of a guy who is going to rationalize some shit, take some Conflict and at the end of the session or whatever your rolling period is is definitely going down some morality as he clearly does not feel bad about ending some lives.

And if it was anything close to his emotional weakness, totally should have been doubled.
>>
>>51485152

Well, also Han Solo isn't trying to walk upon a higher moral ground.

This is part of the sacrifice you make for the "power" of being able to use the force. You want to be good, you have to try and be good, and righteous and a positive force in the universe. You must be willing to stare Sheev dead in the face, throw away your weapon and say "I am a Jedi, like my father before me."

Note - falling to the Dark Side is not a negation of your character, and is very ambiguously mechanically "bad". It means the narrative is more likely to turn against the group and you're easier to set-off or stress out. Probably because nobody on the Dark Side looks super healthy.
>>
>>51485268
Cassian feels so bad about shooting an imperial weapons/space station designer that he doesn't go through with it.
>>
>>51486013
Well, yes, but Galen had taken levels in "Main Character".

Space Opera is weird that way. Cassian didn't try to prevent he massacre or anything else.

Kind of a moot point though. RPG morality systems are always messy like this.

Narrative: they weren't needed

Speculation: TIE fighters seem to be launched only when an attack is imminent, or set to patrol around a stable base. A Star Destroyer that just dropped out of hyperspace wouldn't nessesarily launch patrols or pickets immediately.

It's also possible that the Star Destroyers, having just finished launching the AT-ATs and assault craft, weren't configured to rapidly launch fighters.

From a storytelling point of view, it doesn't really matter either way.

Special Objectives for an upcoming Epic X-Wing game. Completing one of these grants one Victory Point. They're rolled randomly at the start of each round you don't have an objective in.

Team with the most Victory Points at the end of the match wins. VPs are also earned by escorting a Rebel Transport across the entire map(Rebels) or by destroying the transport(Scum). Transports spawn periodically. Scum players simply join either side.

VPs can also be spent to call in reinforcements, which are 100 point squadrons played by whatever players happen to be around the shop.

Of course, with repulsors they can just hover and inch forward as fast or slow as they like.

The AT-ATs however are armored enough to shrug off most ground weapons pretty well. Shouldve just used x-wings and torpedos, but hey.

Theoretically it'd be possible for a flight of TIEs to take the long route and blow the generator (this actually happened in my campaign) but Veers wanted his day in the sun. What are you on about? All shield generators produce a shield dome. Only way for a a shield dome to not reach reach the ground is if the surrounding area around it prevents it. A good example would be from the YJK novels where the Jedi Academy shield dome cuts out about 10 or so meters from the ground due to Yavin IVs jungle surrounding the Jedi academy. And that was barely enough for a two commando TIE pilot to sneak in.

This.
>tfw we'll never get an Obi-Wan Yojimbo movie
>>
>>51492188
The gun guy's face is great. Also, I really need to see that film, my campaign is getting very Jedi focused so I need all the samurai I can get.
>>
>>51492330
you should probably see all of his Samurai films.

Also, after watching Yojimbo, watch Fist Full of Dollars.

If any of you have played WEG D6, are the 1e space rules better than the 2e space rules?

So Friday is going to be the first time I run edge of the empire.

I have no clue what I should do for a first session.

Please help.

Chargen and the beginner box adventure.

I did character creation, a minor social encounter with their employer, a hutt, then they fought some B1s and stole their ship.

Character gen, then the party are hired by Sienar Fleet Systems to 'keep an eye' on Rath Sienar while he is visiting a world on the Outer Rim.

>keep an eye
So.. kill him?

No.

*Someone* has to try to keep up with his spice and alcohol fuelled escapades. Some bright spark realised that they could hire some randoms and blame them for the property damage.

If the players are Rebel sympathizers, sure. But pro-Imp players will definitely want to keep him alive. He's one of the most brilliant minds in the Empire. Keeping him alive and supplied with a reliable, clean supply of drugs would be of paramount importance. His death would cripple Imperial starfighter R&D.
>>
>>51493449
Or, if they're rebels, attempt to tempt him into defecting. How? That's up to you, but you've been given FULL access to the rebellion's Strategic Dope Reserve for this mission

>>

You do know there's a problem when you see fetish material everywhere right ?
>>
>>51493910
Haha yeah, dude, I'm just here wading through the piss forest with my yellow wizard friend, no fetish here!
>>
>>51493910
Stop trying to WEASEL your way out of this!
>>
>>51493952
Common man, I mean, I don't even know selonian that well outside of the fact that they're kinda big weasel but aren't furries supposed to be attracted to cartoony human like animals ? Or am I mistaken about something ?
>>
Say, did we ever get scans of the Sentinel book? I have a player looking to branch out with a new spec, and from the article at the very least the Sentry looks right up his alley, thematics-wise, but I have no idea what the fuck skills and talents it has.
>>
>>51494029
>The Queen herself was capable of being pregnant five times a year where they gave birth to five or more children.[2] Despite their importance, the fertile males were treated scornfully as holding little use beyond breeding[1] and at best as prized breeding stock.[2]
If that doesn't read like fetish bait to you...
>>
>>51494033
We got a poopscan a while back, Sentry has lots of focus on stealth, intimidation (conflict causing) and lightsaber with a focus on reflect, it notably gets improved reflect and a force die increase.
>>
>>51494054
Actually it doesn't, the first half could litteraly be any kind of small mammal if you take out the mention of the queen and the rest just look like some ultra dictature shit, I could see that being a description of how the machines in Matrix breed human for exemple if that make sense
>>
>>51494029

As a furry who hates cartoony art...
>>
>>51494121
So like do you enjoy real looking animals ? Isn't that just bestiality ? I actually want to understand
>>
>>51494145
This guy>>51494121 is a disgusting zoophile
>>
>>51494179
Well that's what I was thinking but I'd like to have his version of the story
>>
>>51494194
>>51494145

Anthro characters with more realistic styles, not actual not-standing-on-two-feet-and-talking animals.
>>
>>51494269
That's just so weird to me I just can't help but be kinda fascinated
>>
>>51494083

Any chance anyone has the poopscan on hand? Because that does sound like a thing that might pique his interest.
>>
>>51494324
It's in the pastebin.
>>
>>51493783
You realize that only sterile females leave the dens, so the males and fertile females just stay inside all day.
>>
>>51494385
W-what do they do all day in the den, anon-kun?
>>
>>51494412
Fertile females think themselves better than the sterile ones, while the males are oppressed.
>>
>>51494423
The answer is that they screw all day in the den.
>>
>>51494385

Are you really trying to say "the men and Queens do literally nothing but fuck all day every day" is evidence /against/ them being a fetish species? It's an entire species of muscular furry women who dominate men and I dig it.

I also think asking is a great idea--just be up front. My GM is going to run us through the EotE beginner module and go from there, since he's brand new.

When me and my group were creating characters, we made it fairly clear what we wanted. We're going alt universe, with another Sith faction rising in the Clone Wars that's more about training as many Sith as possible. Two members of our group were part of that faction and survived the Order 66/Purges of the Empire. Our chars have imperial ideals but believe Vader and Palpatine shouldn't be on top.

So I predict the campaign I'm in will start with us surviving and evading imperials since the other faction member is a Force user. We'll deal with criminals (since I'm playing a bounty hunter) and possibly recreate our own faction again. We'll butt heads with rebels and imps, because as players we want to explore more gray areas the movies don't delve into. I can see the Force user player making a new grey order.

You can also ask your players for character background notes. I gave my GM a few pages of bullet points, and explained my char's starting Obligations. Just gave him fodder for ideas.

>>51494348

Many thanks. Boy, these guys are totally Batman, aren't they.
>>
>>51494757
Yeah sentinel is pretty much full batman. Noteworthy that Sentry also stacks well with Shii-Cho, Masaki, and Niman
