I'm planning on handling Aurigan races and anything else that don't make it into the race select by having an entry at the bottom for "Minor Species", with the ability for you to write out your own character for any established species in the Endless Universe that didn't make it in, but with the stipulation that you have to give them traits based off of their actual features in Endless Space/Legend and that you must write up a story about how your character made it to the big leagues. Beyond that, I'm intending for it to have quite a bit of personal customization as well as a bit of ship customization, with tasks in the end having you interact with the governments and shifting powers at large in the galaxy.

I think the true strength of the will well is it's by far the easiest one to fuel mid-combat. So you can keep fighting a really long time, even without reserves. If you have the will to win or at least go out with a bang, then you can keep it up.

Hope is a close second, but it can falter if things go south, and a moment of hopelessness is a self-fulfilling prophecy.

Benevolence is 3rd, but if one of your allies bites it and you start feeling anger or getting revenge fantasies it might interfere.

Joy, romance and cute are all pretty hard to fuel in the middle of a serious life or death fight. And probably need bigger reserves.

Lewd is either gonna be free bottomless mana or danm near zero mana depending on what and where you're fighting. (If you're fighting an asexual being with no audience or alies, having to turn yourself on mid fight is tough no matter how pervy you are)

In retrospect, I probably exaggerated my compatibility with it anyway, because I do like people, but it's in a more general and distant way, and that description sounds nothing like me, so if I can't it'd probably be better if I had switched for Joy. The lower quality of lightning versus lasers in terms of damage would be outpaced by the massive quantity produced by my ability to feel inordinate amounts of joy at inappropriate times - I'm a man who could laugh at a funeral.

Astra is there for emergencies, with Lunaform to assist in battlefield positioning.

Your powers and the Lore aren't full defined. You can glean a lot of the Lore via context, but the best indicators for how powerful you may be is that your predecessors were Kings and Conquerors. Which could be for a variety of reasons, especially if they have the King power or certain Flames.

Since the other anon and I are both Blue Flames, I would assume speed and mobility come at the cost of raw firepower. Fighting a sky full of gryphons would be especially tough for us, although Mastery might make up for that shortcoming.

The First Phoenix King is implied heavily to be pretty dang powerful through the description of the Golden Flame. Yes, it isn't stated that he became a King but through the lore on the Second Phoenix King we know he accomplished much ("she didn't want to step in his foot prints" - trying to imply that he accomplished so much that was a daunting, impossible task for her)
The Third Phoenix King is directly stated to be unstoppable through the description of the Green Flame.

Wuetor is the ideal place to start to work a plan to deal with economics on a wide area.
Money obtained in that way, will be used to buy territories. And eventually, siezing other kingdoms if they are not willing to cooperate and become allies.

I mean, it isn't like making the water TOO pure is a problem or that giving people TOO much food is bad.

I've been thinking about your latest updates to ANMG

The flowing outfit should give 3 rites like the tome. Even though the tome doesn't allow the player to spend the bonus points in physical rites, it also suggests: "Spend your regular points in physical"

I did the numbers, and it's impossible to spend 20 points in physical rites, even for lewd girls who have another rite to spend them on, so it's impossible to argue that somebody broke the tome's rule, because if they spent 23 points, at least 3 would go to magical rites.

This means that the tome's restriction is not a restriction at all, which means that the flowing outfit does not need to be nerfed because "2 points with no restrictions are more useful than 3 restricted points" because The 3 points have no actual restriction.

All I have actually demonstrated here is that I have autism, though. Just my thoughts on game design.

Rather than mechanics, though, it's also about theme. Sure, if you just wanna focus on points, then it doesn't matter. But sometimes you want to have an IC explanation for how the points are distributed. Having your 'natural' rites be thematically linked to you with the tome being the one to add 'auxiliary' rites that aren't necessarily linked to your theme.

Use the Gold Flame's healing ability for science. Perform incredibly invasive surgeries while keeping the subject alive!

Powers mesh together well. Instinct is not only useful for flying in Form, but for spotting spies and betrayal. King is borderline necessary for effective rulers. Form is an easy way to prove my status as Phoenix King.

I likely wouldn't even have to fight to conquer Elmata. Just offer the Scientist Lords a deal they can't refuse - work with the Phoenix King and get all the funding and test subjects they desire. A minor loss of their autonomy for great rewards.

The next obvious step is to conquer (nearby?) Shien. And by conquer I mean extort, because they have the money I need. They give me a cut of their money for "protection", I leave them alone.

Ideally by this point I haven't had to actually fight anyone. After the last Phoenix King was an invincible powerhouse, merely threatening kingdoms should take me far. But there comes a point where I have to fight.

Since Elmata probably has few soldiers and Shien is merely funding me, I hire a small army of mercenaries to actually, finally, conquer a kingdom - Ascetia. Ascetia has a weak army, so we should have little difficulty taking it with my abilities. Loot the churches and take slaves for Elmata.

After that I don't have a specific plan. Maybe form some alliances, conquer some more kingdoms for loot and slaves.

Pretty much. Just look at how few people choose the tome, while flowing is by far the most popular outfit since its release. The main difference isn't the restriction (which I think might be 100% just for flavour reasons), but rather that one of them uses an armour slot, the other one a weapon slot.

If you pick tome, you don't get a weapon, and the 3 rites need to make up for it. Swords are very strong, guns are low cost high range sustained dps, or for magical magical girls, the staff option increases all spells by 25%.

Armour on the other hand just gives you things like a bit more elegance or a bit more defense, etc. Might as well just take flowing, and then put your points into flexibility or defense or whatever that stat you're missing is.

That's why it makes sense for the tome to be worth more.

For instance, a Love Device would still allow you to sense troubles innately, but you would need to use the device (& the device's mana) to use Lovely Miracle Beam. Device is ill-suited for your sole combat magic (unless you're going for a support role or something). It is good to have a quick and easy backup attack for when you're out of mana or for a secondary offense Rite so as to let you conserve a bunch of mana. But you can resummon your Tool at will so all it really means is that you can't use the Rite when your device is out of charge.

Fairly obvious I think. Flare as main source of damage, boosted by Blood C, Circa C and Life A. Circa is all the way at S so I can cast anywhere. Reserves and Mind are so I don't run out of gas after 1 shot, and so I cast fast enough before I get shot. Everything else is so my defences aren't made of paper. Motion S would be fun for locking down enemies so my nukes can't miss.

I would've used Ampule if I was going for true 1-shot meme magic, but eh.

Yes, outfits stack, so you're getting the thematic boost + the poofy boost.
I suppose I should better detail the differences between poofy & minimal.
Think of it like you're filling up your body with the mana that you're putting into a spell. As an analogy, your body is a balloon & mana is water. A poofy outfit means a bigger balloon. A bigger balloon means you can put in more mana without exploding (the base limit is fairly high, so this helps most when doing super attacks). A minimal outfit is more like a sponge. You can pour water on any part of the sponge & it will absorb it (it vents mana). However, a wet sponge can also drip all over the place, so you're more liable to use more mana than you intented. It can really mess up delicate Rites like Motion. In both cases, you can put in more mana per spell, but Minimal makes it easier to earn that mana at the cost of some defense & control.
Poofy is probably better for you since you have a few volatile magics (You don't want to accidentally light houses on fire like some kind of wizard private eye).

Aiming for more a supportive role, Aqua Rank C and Bloom Rank S allows me to plant trees and revitalize destroyed ecosystems and to gain the trust and friendship of the common masses.

Rereading the selections, I'd say that poofy acts as a capacitor, letting you charge up in preparation for a bigger spell. Minimal removes the limiters, making your spells bigger but more wasteful.

If a girl with a poofy outfit and a girl with a minimal outfit decided to, say see who could send out the biggest lovely miracle beam, poofy girl could beat the minimal girl if she had the opportunity to charge up her outfit first.

At least, in my opinion.

The only problem with this is that the consequence of the benevolence sacrifice is bit more severe that destroying your physical body. It also breaks down something magical inside you. Also, the magical girl decision-making factions are sure to disapprove of you aiding government research in the field of magic. But you have a good setup overall.
