I haven't had much time during the move for modelling, and I don't have a station set up for it yet. My chain did arrive though so I sat in a corner sorted out the reins. Incoming awful quality picture because I can't find my camera in all of these boxes.

All going well, I'll be making four of these, with at least a driver and a bowman. What's the opinion on the banners? They look a bit cluttered with three grots smushed on, but would anyone moan if I don't have banners on them because of the Wolf Totem rule?

How big is the AoS playerbase in your area?

For me it is just me and my closest friends, but just half an hour away is a larger gaming club in the city with some players in it, and the local GW store as well.

What's the opinion on not having a banner? Will I get called out by someone for having the Wolf Totem rule without one? They aren't optional equipment, and it isn't explicit that the banner is the reason it has the rule.

It's just they're brittle as fuck as is and would snap, and I'd have to hunt down the flags on eBay. They'd also clutter up the model way too much.

Why is GW ignoring Elves when High Elves and Dark Elves were the most popular armies in WHFB?

How are Chaos Dwarfs? A few of my friends are pretty into AoS at the moment and they're trying to get me to play too and I'm pretty tempted to pick up some of the forgeworld models because they look so nice.

Talked to the redshirt at the local GW today and got some info on the new book. Take with a pinch of salt (or maybe rather a pile of it), but it sounds kinda interesting.
- Lord of Change is bumped to 14 wounds and ets a sword with the damage line of a vampire, but remains otherwise unchanged; cost 280pts.
- Kairos also gets 14 wounds, but remains otherwise unchanged; 300pts.
- Kairic Acolythes can take shields with both handweapons and halberds, weapon stats are re-balanced
- Gaunt Summoner lost the familiars, but remains otherwise unchanged

Stegadon is 260, not 200 so you need to find 60 points somewhere. Probably cut a Razordon for that.

I would swap the 5 guard for 10 Warriors or 10 Skinks to give you more models for objective control and screening potential versus big charge units like Necrosphinx, Stonehorns, and Warrior Brotherhood deep strike.

Assuming you take the laser on the bastiladon you should have enough Rend-1 artillery to deal with most battleline units, so I would cut a Razordon for a Salamander. You don't have enough mortal wounds to punch through good saves and the Rend-2 shot is more valuable than more Rend-1 artillery fire that can't shoot on the first turn.

I would probably run Chameleon Skinks instead of Terradons. They are both high mobility units but the skinks are better at zone control and getting into position to kill artillery crew.

Looks like a standard competitive Seraphon list aside from that. Turtle up and move forward to victory. You'll be weak to a Celestant Prime shooting list but should do fine against most armies.

You would struggle. Guard and Bastiladon put a hard stop to your list and you don't have enough mortal wounds to deal with them.

All he needs to do is keep Mystic Shield up on one of those two units and then he has a 2+ rerollable save.

All he needs is a double turn to get two rounds of shooting with Salamanders and the game is over. he can almost guarantee the double turn with his Starseer.

My biggest fear with this and most seraphim list is, I roll like shit. Salamanders are awesome but with only 1 shot I'd probably miss most of the time, same without terranadons. With the bsb short range do you encounter problems of just missing too much of your shooting?

It's actually pretty reliable. 3 salamanders is 3 shots on 3+/3+ and you can reroll hits with the Astrolith Bearer down.

It's the best that Seraphon can do versus high armor targets. They don't have many options for mortal wounds or high rend.
