Back in the dayness aside, I assume the rationale had something to do with the power over the Darkspawn's corruption they have.

>>51011247
>example Charms

Well, each DT is supposed to be unique; they're powers and feats derived from your own personal perception of reality as a nascent cosmic principle.

So uh. Kinda like Stand powers, but less random, more aligned with a theme in your First Excellency (couple paragraphs that summarises what you're about and what you're good at, and which defines what you can spend motes on to be superhumanly gud at) and there's hundreds of 'em?

There are, however, Heretical charms listed in the Broken Winged Crane (the book with Devil-Tigers) which are example Charms soon-to-be DTs can make by combining the Charms of other Yozis. They include:

Scale-Shedding Solution: Rips off your armor instantly and stores it as black flames around your shoulders

Unsurpassed Devil-Craft: You're really good at forging vitriol-based crafts

Emerald Angel Unfurling: Creates an invisible magical forcefield that defends against reality warping. When reality warping occurs, wings of emerald light flare-and depending on the strength of the warping, they may withstand it, crack or shatter entirely.

Anyway, those aren't DT charms strictly speaking but they're examples of the kind of aesthetics likely to be involved.

>Howdy Mardukth
Right, okay. Howdy? Oh god with the stuff at 1 am.

Let me. Just. Get comfortable. Because whoa.

I'm... afraid I haven't managed to get through /that/ paste at all (I'm still trying to comprehend the first one).

>1. So, I've been creating Exaltations of my own...
Right. Speaking of, where are you getting the secret of creating Exaltations from? Because the Sun sure as hell can't make them, so you'd have to go to Autobot and get the secret of his greatest (and most terrible) creation out of him. The one he's actually scared of.

I'm not sure if you explain that, but the first part of it seems to focus on the Sun's effort and he really only "imprinted" on them after Autobot created them.

>Now, in both cases the intent is very much for them to gradually...
So. Question. Are these things actually using Charms, instead of some multi-jump amalgam of horrific doom? Because it looks like the latter from a distance, but I didn't manage to read it right now.

Anyway. If the former, they wouldn't be able to go beyond essence 5 charms, and you couldn't learn essence 6+ charms from them. If the latter, you're basically just using the "charms" name to do something vaguely inspired by exalted, and it wouldn't really fall under any fiat?

Honestly... I think you're focussing on this quest for Essence 10 stuff far too much. What would you actually be doing with this?

>2. What happens if you...
I have no real idea how Dual Art works, but let's see...

You'd be able to supercharge higher essence charms, sure. But you wouldn't get high-essence effects, just more powerful low-essence effect. You know, like Primordial charms /already/ do naturally.

>3. Thinking about the Imperial Manse's amplifier widget and the Eye of Autocthon...
...The "at the cost gradual dimishment" part would seem to put a damper on that to me. And I'm guessing a lesser portion of yourself put into it wouldn't give near the same amplification.
>>

In addition to >>51011500 I will shamelessly steal some of Garlock/ASA's list of combat charms (and some extras of myself) to give more of an idea of what kind of stuff you could do with Charms.

Malfeas:
-Skyfire Seizing Repast: Against energy without a specific aspect of breaking through defences like Almighty-or the Holy keyword in the setting-you can absorb it safely to regain motes
-Kissed by Hellish Noon: Applies hellfire to ranged weapons; a repurchase at E4 oncludes artillery
-Demon Emperor Shintai: Become a brass big guy with a nuclear field irradiating anyone who doesn't bow to you

Cecelyne:
-Sandstrike Blast/Dune-Burst Onslaught: Lets you shoots blasts of lacerating sand, or explosions of the same.
-World-Grinding Sandstorm Devastation: Lets you make giant super-lethal sandstorms, and keep it around as superweapon/refuge. You can have it look like your iconic anima too.
-Greater Shintai of the Endless Desert: transforms you into a living desert, allowing you to attack anything in a mile and practically ignore smaller things.

Adorjan:
-Fond Remembrance of Adrian: Negates reality warping by freezing, lacerating and burning your target. If there is no discerna le target it attacks the laws of physics instead.
-Demon Wracking Shout: Mile-wide scream that inflicts aggravated damage on demons and lethal damage on everyone else

SWLIHN:
-Mind Hand Manipulation: Telekinesis. Actually pretty shitty to hit people with, but a notable repurchase allows a iently successful attack to cleanly sever your opponent's limb automatically
-Principle Invoking Onslaught: The most combat relevant aspect of this is it lets you clinch with your TK. Also lets you fluff your attack to look poke almost anything.
...Though personally, the most important aspect of Principle Invoking Onslaught would be the ability to transmute targets you would kill/destroy in other materials. Turning people to stone. Or magic super-metal.
>>
>>51011602
Out of curiosity, if you were to have conjoined conjures or a similar perk along with a magic system that allows for time manipulation and travel, would it be possible to create Time-Based Charms?

Sorry. For what it's worth, I think these will be my last questions on the matter.

>where

I believe I explain that in Phase 2, but essentially I'm going to run a scan on reality for all available information in potentia, including Samsara.

...

...though the thought occurs I...could just...look really hard at my own or Fair Eyes...?

>Are these things actually using Charms

They are using a multi-jump amalgam of glorious SCIENCE! to enhance Charms, in a nutshell.

...oh. Okay. Well, actually when you put it like that I'm honestly not sure if they are; aren't all sufficiently complex configurations of Essence that aren't sorcery or works of artifice which are used by a sapient being Charms? There IS a lot of extra juice going into them but at least for now the endpoint of development was charms. If making them generate un-Charms deviates away from that I may have to reconsider.

>this quest for Essence 10

...I just figured higher Essence Charms would be able to do what lower Essence ones could but better so-the same things, but better? Especially the levels of creation the Primordials did pre-cripplingly, like carving the Faraway from the Wyld. Or the more esoteric effects that let Oramus be a big ball of impossibility, SWLIHN sing to the Shinma etc.

>supercharge essence charms

...oh. Well, thanks anyway.

That does bring me to another question though-assuming one strings together sufficient quantities of lower Essence Charms together into a big, big combo would it be possible to emulate higher-essence Charms by expending MASSIVE amounts of Essence on a collection of lower essence ones used at once?

>at the cost gradual diminishment

Actually about that-I have a separate perk that allows my soul to regenerate to its' complete form, think it's from Anima. I just thought of those because the amplifier seems a fairly unimportant part of the Primordial King if he apparently didn't even notice it was gone.

Prettymuch the same. I'm usually low impact.
Unless I went full shithouse on the place, in which case there's usually craters and ecological devastation.
Or if I tried to build a city, in which case there's just a big city sitting somewhere, usually with a kindof solarpunk aesthetic.

>>51011473
So, I took the minion perk from Cho Aniki, right? "Boss Underlings". It allows you to summon huge amounts of minions at once, although their relative power rapidly declines based on their numbers. I often keep one or two around to act as recognizable minions. Give them, like, a greatcoat or something. Looks good with the speedo.

But sometimes when people piss me off, I've been known to summon massive hordes of them, falling from the sky to attack my enemies.
Just huge numbers of bodybuilders flexing as they plummet in their tiny speedos towards my enemies.

Time based charms already exist. Experimental Acceleration Mastery explicitly dilates time and it would be easy to make a perfect defense or extra action charm with time based fluff.

But charms are more a spiritual thing than magic, which is covered by sorcery instead. You'd want temple of thought or favor of tashlan instead of conjoined conjures.

That largely depends on the world, to be honest. I prefer to not leave a noticeable mark beyond the obligatory mysterious probe to oversee everything and the occasional limp, but I do perform a lot of tune-ups when I feel the need to. They're just not very obvious. Like building an endless angel-assembling machine dimensionally folded into a post office wall. Or leaving a meme on the internet that grants wishes.

As a general rule, worlds that experience more conflict tend to require less secrecy on my part.

>>
>>51011757
Honestly. I don't think you can Conjoin Conjures charms, since it doesn't seem like a "magic system" the perk would work with. You could Conjoin Conjures with Sorcery, but charms are a sort of spiritual "techniques" that really doesn't seem to mesh with spellcasting to me.

But if you want to ignore my personal feelings on that, it could probably create stuff like that? They wouldn't really be charms though, it'd be some weird Spell-Charm fusion of your new, combined system.

>>51011821
>...though the thought occurs I...could just...look really hard at my own or Fair Eyes...?
If it was that simple, the Twilights would've done it.

They've studied the Exaltation in Lytek's cabinet EXTENSIVELY, without making any progress.

>If making them generate un-Charms deviates away from that I may have to reconsider.

>That does bring me to another question though-assuming one strings together sufficient quantities of lower Essence Charms together into a big, big combo would it be possible to emulate higher-essence Charms by expending MASSIVE amounts of Essence on a collection of lower essence ones used at once?
Sure?

>seems a fairly unimportant part of the Primordial King if he apparently didn't even notice it was gone.
It was his shadow. He likely never even cared about it.

But anyway, the Imperial Manse thing empowers Sorcery, not Charms. And I believe the Eye doesn't empower anything, instead literally just being "plot device".

>I headcanon that most jumps I go to are frozen in time before I come back post-Spark
I wanted to do something like that, but it brings up a lot of issues for me that I can't resolve for myself. The solution I came up with is that time travel is involved. That is, after every jump I get sent back in time ten years, more in the case of long jumps, meaning that all my jumps take place concurrently and they all end at the same time.

(Core, pg 16) Charm: A form of Essence manipulation that focuses Essence through a character’s Abilities. Charms allow Exalts to perform superhuman feats and are the most basic form of magic the Exalted wield.

(As above) Essence: The most basic building block of Creation, Essence is the energy that unites all things and from which all magic springs. To channel Essence is to work miracles, and the might of the Exalted comes from their ability to do so.

(Pg 178, core) Charms are simple magical “tricks.” Each is a technique for channeling Essence through the body or mind to enhance a
Solar’s Abilities to superhuman levels. Charms allow the Exalted to leap vast distances, to survive in the harshest conditions and to absorb without injury blows that would kill a mortal. With Charms, the Solar Exalted slew the Primordial despots, set order to chaos and forged the glorious First Age.

They're spells but not in the sense of a magic system that could be cojoined. Rather than cojoined conjures >>51011757 you should aim for something along the lines of I Cheat from Justice League Dark or Dark Wisdom from Overlord.

It depends. Piss off something bit, and it's pretty darn dangerous. At one point, a character points out something along the lines of "The only wizards who know what the atom is are the wizards too smart to split it."

In normal Christian angel hierarchy, there are literally angels whose job it is to watch over people. The two lowest choirs are Angels, whose job it is to watch over specific places or people (This is where the idea of guardian angels comes from), and the Archangels, whose job it is to watch over entire nations and peoples. So those angels are very close to humans at all times, they just stay all invisible.

Completely.

>Where's the line between "you can solve this easily and it would benefit people greatly" and "jumper deserves to live their own life?'
On the far side of solving what problems you can. Remember, lack of personal and vacation time decreases your efficiency, and stepping back for a bit to study how the world holds up without you is an important way to plan for the contingency that you fail the chain and can never come back. Besides, you can't be everywhere at once and should be focusing on creating organizations that can operate without you directly micromanaging everything anyway.

Oh. That uh...well, I'm still going to spend the next milennia going nuts from the Essence level blockade but I guess that works! Still going to be a lot to learn but it's a start. So I was in the process of figuring out who the DT was? But the Orphan Cub perk specifically says this DT never technically existed. On top of not really being sure when they shed the leash, as from what I understand Charms that are Heretical or Blasphemous causes all of Creation to LOSE ITS SHIT IN A BIG WAY. It's universal for them on account of throwing away their name, and so they also have the most flowery ones.

This is not really true. There are alarms in Heaven for that, and there will be a responce. But it's not that terrible nor immediate, unless you using very high-essence charms.

But, going Devil Tiger set of more than that. The Yozi immediately notice their leash being severed, and they're probably notice the part where all of existence feel the Devil-Tiger's ascension.

So. If they'd existed, you're getting painfully murdered and vivisected the moment you enter Malfeas. Because the Yozi want their Exaltation back, and they're PISSED. It seems unlikely that Ligier could/would save you at that point.

Sorta, not really. Primordial Charms are on the same level as Solar charms. Solar charms are just more direct.

The Primordials are basically puzzle-bosses. They've all got a Greater Imperfection, through which you can strike them, but otherwise they're more powerful.

The thing with Solars being more "powerful" is more because they can more easily make their own custom charms.

Hi Bancho. I looked at the PS238 jump and while the raw content is good, the layout made my inner journo nerd scream. It's not you, it's me? Anyway. So per your post, I've created a Google Doc and re-paginated, re-formatted and re-edited it until that nerd stopped screaming (e.g. no orphan lines, an attempt at keyword bolding, more obvious how faculty / students / homerooms / homelives interact, etc), and I also updated discounts based on your recent thread responses to feedback, and tweaked a bit of the prose. Couldn't easily get the intro image out of the pdf, so redid that (if you approve and we get along, I'd also be open to having a go at sprucing it up as a fully imaged jump). Let me know if I got it right or wrong, if I should continue layout nicing, if there's other parts you'd like me to tackle, or if I should just fuck off, etc.

Yeah, it... I'm not sure if that's a canon thing that would HAPPEN or if that's within the realm of plausibility for Ligier, but it would be a good way to really hammer home how different life in Malfeas is.

Just felt like letting people know I'm still around, I just got busy over the holidays and then got sick. So I plan on starting back to working on Extreme Ghostbusters, Agents of S.M.A.S.H. and a special surprise jump in a few days.

Also when the final USM episode comes out expect a small update. I want to offer Mysterio's Helmet and maybe add a thing or two depending on the last episode.

Not true. Unfortunately.

E10 Solars-well, put it this way. The devs have said it's their intention for a perfect circle of E5 Solars to be capable of beating the Sun sans his complete invincibility power, and maybe some of his other Virtues suppressed too.

What they are isn't clearly defined. They WERE able to be blindsided and massacred by all the Sidereals and Dragonblooded cooperating on a sneak attack, though.

In Monmusu's case, there truly is nothing really going on in that world other than every female existing to lust after Darling's co-warm embrace and every male existing to be a piece of shit to give him the moral high ground he really, really doesn't need

I have no doubt he could do that. Alveua already forges people into semi-aware black metal, and she's much less of a craftsman than he is.

Whether he would... That's another question? He clearly doesn't need another Anvil, his is already the greatest and made from Malfeas itself.

He'd need a reason, even his Punishment Spheres have a purpose. Ligier doesn't care if he's cruel, but he's not /pointlessly/ cruel.

Except he can't. Because he's Geassed into not doing that. For all his vaunted perfection, he can't raise a single finger against the Primordials.

Likewise, he gets instantly addicted to cosmic xbox they use as a toy.

He needed Autobot to build his Exaltations, because he could never make them himself.

Not everything is about being able to beat people up. And even if he was allowed to fight them, he could never kill one of the Primordials.

The Primordials have a pin-point focus compared to his more broad "perfection", but that focus does make them more powerful.

>how obligated are you to go out of your way to do good?

All the time. It's more trouble than it's worth sometimes but it bothers me a lot if I just let bad stuff happen without doing something about it. I don't follow this rule for Jumps where I'm supposed to chill out, but I still feel super guilty when I take breaks like that. Which is why I only do it once every ten jumps or I went through a very stressful jump.

>Where's the line between "you can solve this easily and it would benefit people greatly" and "jumper deserves to live their own life?'

Personally, like I said, it would make me feel guilty if I didn't try to help people. But I get why people wouldn't do that. /jc/ actually helped me understand why people would be concerned with their own agendas instead of helping others and preserving themselves.

>Spoiler

I'm of the mindset that people can do whatever they wish with their lives as long as they aren't hurting others with their freedoms or taking their freedoms away. Putting people in bottles is against that--that's limiting people's freedoms. My policy is "give helpful suggestions, and go stop the bad guys myself if no one will listen to me."

(I decided that, rather than clutter up the thread with more builds of me just going "I conquer the world meh", every time I do a jump whose setting I just steamroller without anything interesting happening I'll write up a new demon for me or my companions' soul hierarchies instead.)

Aloros, the Silhouette Alchemist, Defining Soul of the Nine-Tailed Scourge of Repentance

Motivation: Measure all things to decide what is good. Aloros has intimacies to such things as math, calculation devices, money, and numbers larger than 999 googolplex.

Aloros is an empty silhouette of a man, his shape transparent air save for at the edges of his body, which are defined by equations written in glowing white runes that float in the air. He wears robes of brown parchment on which the mathematical descriptions of objects writhe.

(cont)
>>
>>51013170
Aloros may intuit the exact definition of what he sees and, if it does not resist, he may write this out in the form of an equation. So perfectly represented is his subject that they cease to exist, becoming solely the string of numbers and operations. In this form, he may measure them exactly to determine their true worth in utterly objective terms. He can also compel the equation to crawl to another surface or return to its material form, and in this way does he store a great many useful and interesting things on his robes. Finally, he may smudge the equation with his finger, changing the values and transforming the object they represent. This is no sure process and even Aloros cannot grasp the true meaning of the more complex equations he writes. It is for this reason that, by the decree of the Tyrant Moon, Aloros is forbidden to perform his alchemy on sapient creatures, though he often scours the libraries of Aranea, hoping to better understand some new bauble or other he has measured and perfect his art until one day it will be truly safe.

The Siloute Alchemist is often called upon by the Nine Gods to calculate the worth of their newest treasures or inventions. Between these constant summons and his endless search for new subjects to study, Aloros is a frequent traveler. Having no time to wait for transport, he will often reach into one of his pouches to draw out the red chalk with which he can write one of his first circle children, the Screaming Chariots, into existence to convey him forth.

I'm about to start up a new chain and I'm trying to take care of setting any homerules ahead of time. I'd just like to ask anyone how, if at all, they deal with updates to jumps they've already taken?

>Hrm. Then I'd like your expert opinion on why Ligier might want to pull a cultist into Malfeas. It might be a curious idea to run with.
Well. welp, I'm an expert now, apparently. Anyway, let's see...

There is something to consider. Ligier's artifice has a slight flaw:
>His smithcraft requires priceless sacrifices, however, such as children’s blood, the essence of treachery, Exalted souls and the like. Without them, he cannot help but conceal deadly and subtle flaws within the craft, even if bound.

This price is there even if he just build of his own volition. And, considering he /had a child/ with this cultist? He'd probably care for her/him, or at least considers them quite valuable.

So perhaps go with the other parent being used as an exotic ingedient for some Artifact? Perhaps a gift for his new daughter, for when she grows up and receives her inheritance? Perhaps simply some world-shattering weapon for himself?

i'd say to not bother with anything like Eclipse or Fiend caste, since you'll want at least one Exaltation of each type, unless you really want that spirit judge stuff. A combat frontliner will want different stuff to the social controller or assassin.

He is the inventor Primordial. He cherishes innovation, creativity and scientific progress. He adores humans for making tools, forged the Exaltations which the Incarnae imbued with their essence and later fled after the Solars compelled him to banish the Jadeborn (golem-elves he shaped out of crystallised Raksha) underground for fear they'd try the same with him.

He is currently beyond Creation in a faraway gulf behind a complex Primordial seal, slowly dying of malnutrition, poor reincarnation systems and guilt while the human populace that opted to stay with him fights off his encroaching voidcancer.

I personally loathe him with contempt that can't even truly be called hate because that would imply I consider him worth wasting a good beating on. I am genuinely tempted to simply disperse him into motonic foam now I have Always An Ending, though. At this point the only other consideration that merits his existence is that some of the non-Exaltation things he has built, like the Jadeborn and Pattern Spiders, /are/ actually worthwhile.

But as others have said before, he'd get along swimmingly with most tech-focused Jumpers and Devil-Tigers.

Devil-Tigers aren't Primordials, but kind of. There's a Charm called Unquestionable Yozi Authority that can stop gods from attacking you if you reach Essence 10 and upgrade it fully. But its an unnatural compulsion which means hes immune to it as long as he believes it would interfere with his Motivation, which is to protect Creation.
>>
>>51013922
Aw, didn't mention that Jadeborn are prototype humans.

And they're actually more like dwarf-elves.
>>
>>51013860

All of them.

Most of them were upset about this though, they claimed they already had names.

Autocthon is...well, maybe not a good guy, but a better guy than most. He's the Primordial of craftsmanship, order, and entropy. Frustrated with the other Primordials bullying him for being sickly and constantly breaking all of his creations, he helped the gods rebel by creating the Exaltations. Only to be horrified when the punishment that the gods and their Exalted inflicted on his siblings was far greater than he ever wanted. He hung around Creation for a little while longer, long enough that the Solars of the First Age considered him a mentor figure, but eventually fled off into the void to isolate himself out of a mix of regret and fear of the Exalted coming after him, next. Unfortunately, he's slowly dying, since he's sickness is festering without access to the greater supplies of Essence that come from being inside a universe.

As for whether he's nice or not, he's nice enough if you don't piss him off. There are legends of a species he created trying to bind and dominate him, and he inflicted great torments on them for their presumption. That's where soulsteel first came from, from the melted-down remains of their souls mixing with impurities in his enormous forge-body. But if you're respectful of him, he'll be respectful of you, and he holds humanity in pretty high regard. He didn't create humans, in Exalted's creation story, but he did make all of the first drafts that the other Primordials would adapt to make humanity. So he sees himself in us, and loves our potential for building structures and systems both physical and social. If you could heal him he'd probably be pretty friendly to you.
>>
>>51013695
My current plan is to go Mortal -> Dragonblooded -> Sidereal -> Lunar (when it gets finished) -> Infernal (MAYBE, we'll see how strong I get since I don't want to be evil but I also don't want open season declared on me by the yozis) -> Solars (When it gets made. I don't consider myself good enough or well-versed enough in Exalted to make a Solar jump)

This is because in my version of Exalted, The Ebon Dragon didn't kidnap the Scarlet Empress when she disappeared. She went off to do uhhh...I'll figure that out when I know more about Exalted. I fanwank events in tabletop worlds.
>>
>>51013922
>I personally loathe him
Why? You can call Gaia a whore all you want to, but the other Primordials constantly abused him, destroyed his things, and killed or tortured his creations. They all called him ugly and foul and most didn't even want to look at him. Despite that, they forced him to do all the work for them in creating things. They bullied him in every possible way. His motivation is extremely sympathetic.

They kind of just... smush together. Don't really combine, but superimpose themselves, since they're supposed to be in the same place.

At least, for the Celestials. The Dragon-Blooded Exaltation doesn't really have a soul-part, that's in the blood.

>>51013743
>Is he some sort of robot god?
Basically, yes. Except as a Primordial, he's much more powerful than the gods in Exalted.

Imagine the Death Star crossed with Primus from Transformers. Then make it super-inventor/craftsman.

...And give it robot-cancer. He's kinda breaking down.

>Is he a good guy?
For, uh, given values of "good guy".

He likes humans.

He'd probably be nice if you're not an asshole to him.

>Can I bro it up with him?
No, he's asleep and sealed himself off from reality. You'd probably have to wait until an Alchemicals jump before you can try to wake him up (fuck, i've been saying that a lot. Maybe I should make one...), or get gud at reality warping to break his Seal.

Incidentially, he's slowly dying in his sleep, and his higher souls are too busy with distrusting each other to wake him.

>>51013869
Well, his own Glories stuff says he'd been Geassed against attacking his primordial makers.

It applies to any Essence 8+ being with two purchases of the Charm known as Unquestionable Yozi Authority.

All the original Primordial know it, and Infernals can learn it. With the upgrade charm, he couldn't even debate against you with his perfect charisma.

Technically, it's a compulsion effect he should be immune to... but he clearly isn't, looking at the Primordial War.

Alright, sorry sorry. One last question then I should have everything: What are the chances of siblings for the jumper around in Ligier's area?

>Wait what did they do to the other super gods? It must be terrible if their bullying victim regrets it.
They maimed them, tortured their souls, and bound them inside a prison made of their own broken bodies. It is very unpleasant to be a Yozi. That's why they're so angry with the world.

>And… how hard would it be to invent an 'Essence generator' (no idea if this even remotely possible), break through the seals, and toss it in, with instructions for making more?
>I know almost nothing about Exalted. Would he try to kill me for bending entropy over the table or something? Since that's one of his domains?
It would be very difficult to break all the seals of the Seal of Eight Divinities, at least from the outside. First Age Solars tried, but only managed to get through the first seven, that last one was always just a little too resilient no matter what they threw at it. Giving him access to more Essence would help a lot, though, that's the plan of the nations that live inside him: open the seals, get access to Creation's Essence supplies, and ship some back to Autocthon. He wouldn't mind at all for you creating Essence ex nihilo. He's supposed to be able to do that, other Primordials could, it's just because he's sick that he can't. Autocthon has been regretting making entropy part of his purview since the day he coalesced from Cytherea's fire (Cytherea the first Primordial to arise, at least in this universe. Oramus is older but comes from some vaguely-defined other place. She created the conditions for the other Primordials to come into existence). So yeah, he'd be really happy with you.

Well, Fomors are mentioned multiple times in both the Dresden Files short stories and the main books, so there's some basis already present for some of the Irish folktales. So I don't think it would be any great stretch to say that Selkies exist as well. I could even see the idea of a magical fur cloak that offers shape-changing magic being very viable.

Having the Wolf Belt and being able to analyze that magic might give you a good push in the right direction for building your own Selkie fur coat. Though quite honestly if you headed to Ireland/Scottland and wandered around the coasts for a while you could probably track down some that already exist.

It is Dresden Files though, so expect them to be a little more murdery than normal. Or at least Fey in that delightful way DF Fey are.

This, on the other hand-if I were still hung up on that, I'd have tried to obliterate Creation way before things have got as far as they have. The fact that I haven't, and am in fact on good terms with a scarce minority of Exalts, should speak volumes. Or the fact I'm willing to touch Exaltations at all.

You have to understand: Internalising the truth that compassion and friendship are meaningful forces doesn't magically erase milennia of cynicism.

What it does do, is make someone reevaluate their priorities.

I have hope for things getting better now.

This is not the same as pretending nothing bad ever happened in the past. Or making stupid decisions by trusting people not to fuck up at the wrong moment.

Because his most famous lasting contribution introduced TRUE DEATH into Creation.

Out of all the intial rebels, even I'd have to admit he had the most valid reasons to do what he did. At least he has a private corner mourning the other Primordials that implies he knows what a mistake the war was. Believe me, I hate everyone else involved far, far more. The problem is, most of them are integral to Creation's day to day operations. He's not.

I've already planned what I intend to do to punish the others once Creation is mended.

I'm undecided on him alone.

You've got to be careful not to destroy the economy once you've got nano fabs and cold fusion. You also shouldn't advance a society too far because the people living in it won't have a place in the future society that you build. I only share tech one epoch above the natives one and simply provide better, cleaner energy, manufacturing processes, materials and architectural designs. Things like vertical farms and Thorium reactors.

Daughteru-Peace protocol has them founding a company in the middle of international waters and building proof of concept floating cities which can then be sold to nations and corporations that want them, and they want them when they're all pretty much self sufficient. Once they've established the Daughteru brand name they move the tech inland and train/hire natives to work their facilities. They don't patent their technology either, so companies willing to adapt to the new technology can try and compete.

From there the populous get no real further assistance unless they come across some demonic or xeno threat because I don't want a million identical worlds.

Jazon, the Toller of Novelty, Expressive Soul of the Nine-Tailed Scourge of Repentance

Motivation: Herald the coming of change. He has intimacies to such things as the sound of bells, revolutions, radical ideology, experimental art, and desperate prayers.

Before Jazon comes the sound of a great tin bell ringing. This bell he holds is as large as a daikliave and serves as an artifact weapon in its own right, its great clangor casting aside scores of men or battering down walls with waves of sonic force. His form is that of a brown skinned man with hooves, and he always wears a troubled expression when he hears silence.

Despite the weapon he wields, Jazon is not often bloodthirsty. He much prefers to make music with his bell, and he knows many doleful melodies which will inspire those who hear them in pushing the boundaries of the arts and sciences. He is a frequent patron of the spirit world's theaters and music halls, and the greatest of the demon writers compete to have him as their muse. It is also Jazon who hears the prayers of demons who are discontent with their lot and his duty is to bring these forth to the greater princes to be recognized as citizens.

But when the Nine Gods reach a new world, Jazon is one of those demons who walks the world ahead of them, tolling his great bell to alert humans to the dawning of a new age. He is drawn those who pray most fervently for a change in their life, regardless of to whom such entreaties are directed, and detours towards them. It is in this role that he is feared, for then his bell will ring with songs of battle and the weak will rise up, filled with bloodlust, to tear their oppressors apart and make way for the new order of InNomineAnon's rule. Woe to those who are strong enough to resist the sudden mutiny of their subjects, for if Jazon performs his battle songs too long his overself Balynth will hear and come to teach such a defiant foe of their proper place.

In my humble and biased opinion I have liked the series a whole lot. The fact is most traditional fans hated it though at first due to it basically stealing Deadpool whole stitch and making a far more light hearted take on the character who just occasional touches on the more somber parts of the spider-man character.

So if you want to see comedy, good fight scenes, and a peter parker who is happy and has nice things happen in his life, you may like it. If what I just said enrages you to the point you feel I don't know anything about the character and spider-man wasn't made for people like me, then you will probably like the later seasons over the first two.

>I thought the Clay Man was something else, and the Jadeborn were just Raksha trapped by Gaia and Cytherea's kaboom?
The trapped Raksha were just trapped.

The Clay Man was the first Mountain Folk, made by Autobot from one of those trapped Raksha's essence. When he asked what wass the purpose of his life, after seeing Autobot again, he was told to make more. (Because, hey, making things works for Autobot.)

Then after the Mountain Folk are all established and stuff, some other primordials go down to Creation, and capture the Clay Man.

They vivisect and examine it, painfully experiment with his form and essence... and leave it behind as a half-finished template of Humanity when they learned what they wanted.

Now he's a 15 foot tall man-like Behemoth, with earthmelding abilities.

...oh geeze this is one of those arguments that comes from somewhere personal doesn't it.

Okay uh.

Let me rephrase:

Reincarnation may or may not constitute true death depending on your definition of what death is. What it does NOT do, however, in the context of Exalted's setting, is created a necromantic mirror of Creation ruled by the agonised corpse-temples of mad undead titans poised forever over a SINGULARITY LEADING TO ABSOLUTE ANNIHILATION precariously perched below Creation proper. Whose very existence causes rotting shadowlands and undead to erupt on the surface, and who have enlisted the ghosts of ancient Solars to try and rase existence once and for all.

I'm not gonna try to debate you on reincarnation man, I'm just saying-it generally doesn't result in a literal zombie apoacalypse heralded by killer goth demigods

So retconned this, lost Below Notice which is a shame but there's somewhat similar (usually not as good) stuff you can get in other jumps.

Also took the raining frogs drawback and the Adorjan wants the D drawback. The latter doesn't too matter all that much because I'm staying out of Malfeas (due to Heretic) and I guess I just won't sleep for 10 years (so it's still a little unfortunate as I like sleeping). The former is more troublesome and the farmers are not going to like me much as wacky weather is bad for plants. It's gonna get weird. Either way chose Omen Weather over the Demon Hunters drawback as I figured getting some Sidereals onside would be a hell of a lot more difficult with drawback induced antagonism.

Finally I picked up Remembering a Past Life so I'd have a better idea of what's going on and What First Two Chapters? which is pretty important given how the setting would be otherwise.

For the CP I got with the added drawbacks I took the crown as it sounded pretty fancy. I mean this is a thing that gave Solar royalty a boost to their social skills so I'm guessing it's pretty potent.

> The Chamber can only be entered for two days (or two years) at a time, if anybody attempts to stay longer, they will not be able to exit, leaving them in nothingness and not allowing anyone else to use the door. Also, there are only enough provisions to accommodate two people for the full year. This is commonly misinterpreted as a two-person limit overall, but it should be noted that in the Buu Saga four people in total entered through the main door.
So there's only a time limit if you don't have some method of dimensional travel. Which, if you're in an endjump, you should probably have SOMETHING available.

Jumpers! How violent are your most violent companions?
How violent are your waifus?
>>
Jumpers! I've begun working on a sort of dlc for the Star Trek TNG/DS9 jump that will serve as the ship captain project I've talked about numerous times in the past.

My primary motivations for making this are so that I can provide another way for jumpers to get their own capital ship, and also so that you'll have someplace else to store companions.

If anyone has an ideas for what I could include, or shouldn't include please tell me, this is still very bare bones.
>>
>>51014879
It doesn't say anything about limting the number of people there, just that it only has enough food to accomodate two people for a year. The real limit is on the time spent in per person, which Buu entering doesn't break.
>>
>>51014946
I'd like ships from multiple factions to be available: romulan, federation, klingon, etc.

Actually my understanding of the flaw in Creation's reincarnative system was that the Lethe was simply not built to accommodate an entire primordial. According to my copy of Manual of Exalted Power: Abyssals-

1. The Underworld arose from the minds of the dying Primordials as a sort of inverse to Creation

2. The Abyss/Void/Oblivion itself is deliberately kept ambiguous as to whether that same moment of comprehension created it or whether it had always inherently existed and the Primordials' understanding of death merely brought it into being

At no point is it suggested the Void was something any of the other Primordials could have reasonably anticipated. And yet-despite being cut off from most planes of existence, Autocthon houses a very similar phenomena: Voidcancer. The Viator entity's initial goal was, in fact, to turn him into a Neverborn called the Engine of Extinction by killing enough people on him. It claims to have been made by him. Coincidentially, the devs have said the Viator's statblock is supposed to be roughly equivocal to the average 3CD's.

>>51014725
Worth noting it wasn't even Cytherea's first time. Almost all the Primordials were born from her waking up, going "I don't wanna be lonely" and exploding.

Except for Oramus, who just popped in from the Beyond and was like, what took you so long?

>>51014913
Unreasonably violent, to the point where some dates end up being excuses for a no-holds barred cage fight.

As for the other thing...mixed results. Jibril's quite the scholar these days. Esdeath just focuses her violence on more productive pursuits, like holding layers of Hell on my behalf. Lucy doesn't want to be violent, so I gave her some of my chain restaurants and used my own cooking TK to teach her how vectors can chop up food more cleanly and efficiently than hands can.

Unfortunately, trying to wean Adorjan off on Call of Duty just led to her crawling through the screen Sadako-style and shanking some MLG pros.
>>
>>51011542
Mostly the same, though I tend to introduce some things that they're missing, tech worlds get magic, magic worlds get tech etc etc.
I do set up an organization of some sort on each world though, so I have resources to pull on whenever I return, anything from a gang to an organized religion
>>
>>51014800

>>
>>51014913
Probably Taylor, who is slightly less quick to escalate now due to a lack of Shard Influence, having a broader powerset, and learning how to take a break.
Not really that violent. She's much better at getting other people to kill each other or poisoning them.

Well, I like the secondary idea for ship building, where it's just a bunch of parts and we can buy up what bits we want. Though I could see certain options being locked to different factions. Like siding with the Federation would lock out the cloaking device, but allow discounts on medical and science rooms, that kind of thing.

The Backgrounds are a good start, though I would hope to see a Race selection in there (hopefully not on a roll chart). I /really/ like the idea of allowing your inactive Companions to sit on the ship instead of in the Warehouse though. But then, I like any option that's Pro-Companion.

Items and Gear could be incidental gear, like phasers, trade goods, latinum, ect. An auto-updating star chart would be useful too.

As for Perks, I could spitball, but I don't remember what's in the other Jumps so apologies if I suggest anything you already have there.
Re-calibrate the Phase Harmonics for the Federation and variations on throwing science at the walls, weapons, and other ships systems until something works.
Klingon's would get Surprise Assault, Intimidation, and Iron Stomach type perks.
Civilians would have things that allowed them to fly under the radar or get ships working without the proper crew, equipment, or repairs (at least for a little while).
Ferengi would naturally have the Rules of Acquisition perks centered of swindling others, lying your pants off, and escaping with all your loot.
Cardassian could get planning and spying perks, forging the proper documents, that sort of thing.

While I would like to see something Borg related, I know that's a little odd. But then, I liked Voyager, so I know I'm already a little odd.

I hope my random spitballing helped.

Maybe, maybe not.

>I /really/ like the idea of allowing your inactive Companions to sit on the ship instead of in the Warehouse...
You can already add that feature to any ship you import into the Uncharted Waters jump, I just wanted to offer people another way to get it.

>Items, gear species.
Like I said, this is supposed to go with the TNG/DS9 jump so your species from that would carry over. Commercial goods, ship supplies and crew equipment sounds like the kind of stuff that could be offered for purchase.

Perks, if they are included in the final version, will probably be based around improving your ship/crew.

Not sure if I'll include any Borg stuff. I tried to get through Voyager but I couldn't even make it to Seven of Nine.

Thanks for the feedback.

Autocthon is easily the nicest, most-relatable-to-humans Primordial in the setting. Yes, this includes Gaia. Nature, after all, is a bitch.

Not that this is saying much. But he does tend to be more beneficial, and is basically the odd duck of the Primordials due to his proclivities and habits. He's the only one who ran and hid post-Primordial War. He fulfills the 'Lame Forge God' role of the setting, despite being a full-on Primordial.

He also created Alchemical Exalted, which are predominately meant to protect both Autochton himself and the human nations within his world-body-jotun.

What people constantly gloss over is that Yozis/Primordials aren't very nice, and by 'nice' I define 'Their very presence can result in bad things happening for nearby humanity, spirits, gods, ect, ect, ect.'

Keep in mind, they basically created Humanity to act as prayer batteries.

And humans tend to pray alot when they're utterly terrified.

To put this in perspective, Humanity was one of the few races that weren't bound with the 'Thou shall not harm God' geas that bound everything else because they were weak beyond measure or accounting, and viewed as no threat whatsoever.

Then there was the whole slew of other species that the Primoridals also created that were effectively in charge of humanity. Which tend to indulge in such things as, say, human sacrifice. By cutting out thier hearts. For example. And these were the ones that later became total bros and sided with humanity in the Primordial War.

So, yeah. Yozi/Primordials? Not once.

A tiny bit of replenishing mana. To be fair to the Dragon Kings, they only sacrificed humans who committed crimes. For everyone else generally the worst they'd do is make you build a temple to the Unconquered Sun (since they were his original worshipers.)

I think the only reason there were no Dragon King exalted is because the Lintha aspect of the template didn't really jive with them. For whatever reason, Kimbery liked her chosen race to be very human. I imagine the Alchemical prototypes could've been built from anything.

>>51015755
It varies. Some of them weren't assholes all the time, some were. Unless you think creating humans to be the lowest race and having all the non-human races be their favorites is enough to kill them over? Also, like I pointed out above, the heart-cutters he mentioned actually served SOL INVICTUS, not the Primordials.

Yeah. It's just...

To give an idea of perspective, the interior of Autochthon is basically the City of Blame! mixed in with Steampunk and a dash of Giger. The various continental plates that compose his titanic god-body will occassional shift and move in his restless sleep, meaning that the 8 nations will drift and contract depending on the whim of the Great Maker. This can result in war, famine, and the various like as the humans within protected by the Alchemical Exalted scrabble for resources...

...but despite all that, it's easily the friendliest jotun interior for humanity you'll find. The world-layers of Malfeas, for example, will occasionally crash together, resulting in everything on that level going 'smush'. And the acidic rain. Though the Yozi's crawling about don't help that.

>>51015778
Worshiped and venerated, actually. I'm not sure what originally created the Dragon Kings.

But, yes, that's the point. The Dragon King's were total bros in the end, but they still kept humanity as a slave/client race to begin with.

Titleholder should not be a thing at all, alot of the capstones should be toned down, and some other perks should be clarified.

The 25cp options are irregular but it looks like there's enough of such options that it can add up correctly.

Last thing i notice is that the It Gets Worse drawbacks should count towards the drawback limit, especially since the limit is 1000 extra.

Other than that i don't know the setting so i can't say if everything fits with the setting or not.

I mean, overall it's not the worse thing ever but it does have alot of issues that given what's been found about the maker probably won't be fixed.

I stay out of the way, mostly. Sometimes I drop cryptic clues, 'borrow' some important items nobody is actually using, or just hang around the cast.

I rarely lift a finger to intervene in things, though I have a million different avenues to do so, so moral quandaries don't come up very often. I'm biased towards 'resolve things as quickly and bloodlessly as possible'. That said, cutting the Gordian Knot is harder in some places than others.

I make exceptions. Like if the protagonists fuck up significantly, another eldritch being or titan is involved, or if someone is stupid enough to try and attack me after ignoring the first warning. I make exceptions if I like them. Only 'if'.

After all, if you touch the sun, you get burned. And my mercy and patience aren't infinite.

How is using an abandoned jump from someone who has been gone for months Equate to allowing full scale stealing of other's work who are actively around? You're scenario is as bad as what happens when the joker gets killed in injustice. Kemomimi =/= furry.

Look it this way:

Near-humans = Elves and such.

Kemomimi = Girls with animal ears and tail.

Monstergirl = Humans with more substantial animal, plant, and monster traits added on.

Furry = Animals with human traits added on.

Ferals = Sapient animals. Basically just a type of bestiality.

Bestiality = Non-sapient animals or animal-like aliens.

Xenophillia = Sapient weird shit, usually unclassifiable aliens.

Familiar of Zero. It's really sad since just as it started to get out of the harem rut the author died.
Right on the cusp of industrial revolution magic France is a great setting and I really wish that had been explored more rather than cookie cutter harem antics.

It wouldn't help with the electric fields, gravity, and radiation, but you wouldn't crispify due to heat if you got too close to the sun.

If you just need to rest while working, Adorjan's Charm Running to Forever lets you treat strenous activity as sleep.

Otherwise, Wheel of Time's magic might let you affect the real world to an extent while you dream. Damned if I know how that works without Tel'aran'rhiod being present though. Maybe you carry a little of it with you as you leave?

Firstly, stop calling me names.

Secondly, I'm pretty cool with him. Traded some insights in martial arts and enlightenment in the most roundabout ways possible, by way of therapy. At least, I've got no beef. He doesn't exactly emote much.

Honestly the worst thing I can say about Qaf is that he seemed pretty withdrawn and uninvolved in both the Reclaimation and Renovation. Got a bit of a passive-aggressive vibe when I tried ascending him to learn his Charms given how long it took, though to be fair I'd be pretty salty too if someone could get a portion of powers just by standing on my shoulders.

He...did get strangely excited when I left some of the writings that reconciled all facets of Buddhism into a cohesive whole with one of his subsouls I met. For a while, pilgrims suddenly descended the slopes chanting koans about how we're all connected and reports came in that his slopes were seen to suddenly increase and decrease in distance.

And then...nothing. Everything went back to normal.

Except-up until then, even after the Oaths were renegotiated Qaf didn't move from within Malfeas. Five days later, he just took off into the Wyld, anchored himself in a corner of the Faraway and started folding it around himself.

I...guess that's a good sign?

Anywho, Infernals Redux (swear to god I didn't mean to make a rhyme):

Jump #30: Exalted: Infernals

Caste Yozi: Malfeas * I mean. Definitely going Slayer.
Favored Yozi: Isidoros * Is pretty damn cool.

Drop In

Yozi-Kin - 200 * Being a demon blooded of someone. Not sure who yet. Any suggestions for Isidoros or Malfeas demons? Not that familiar with them.
Name That Unfolds Like Lotus Blossom - 0 * Lord of the Flame Unbroken
Orphan Cub of the Devil Tiger - 300 * Oh. Oh yes.

Remember the Past - 50 * Millennia of knowledge from god-king? For 50 CP. Okay then.
You Are Not Me - 100 * Useful.
Can't Keep Me Down - 200 * ...I'm going to need this for a certain drawback.

Beautiful and Terrible - 0 * Well, it's free. Why not?

The Inner World - 400 * My soul probably looks pretty weird at this point.
Descending Hierarchy - 400 * Neat.
Heart and Soul - 300 * A super Soul? Oh yeah.

Hellstar Guitar - [100] - 50 * Okay, that's pretty cool.
The Fortress that Moves - [200] * Giant moving fortress that boosts my power? Hell yeah.
The Crown of Thunders - 200 * Not much of a king, generally speaking. But it /is/ a cool crown.
Hell storm Rider - 150 * I don't even care. That's fucking cool.

Coven - 300 * All I can afford.
Followers - 0 * Sure.

What First Two Chapters? + 0 * Yeeaaah, not really into some of that.
Saturday Morning Cartoon Villain + 100 * I will throw all of creation into UTTER ANARCHY!! AHAHAHAH!!
Demonic Aspect + 100 * ...My dick's definitely going to end up being a wasp stinger, isn't it? Fuck.
Omen Weather + 100 * Honestly I'm pretty sure I've actually paid for a peek that does this kind of stuff before.
A Hellish Rival + 200 * Everyone needs competition.
Demon Hunters + 200 * You know what? Fuck it. Don't even care anymore.
Love of Adorjan + 200 * Sounds hot.
Prison Break + 800 * I didn't want this. I really didn't want this. But there's just so much shiny stuff. And I really like shiny stuff.

The one highpoint about the series is that there are exactly two elves who qualify as cool dudes and they both call out elven society for being utter shite.

It's so dissonant with the general way in which elves are treated by the narrative I have to wonder if it was Paolini subconsciously realising he was writing himself into a corner.

Part of me feels kind of bad about panning this so hard, because it was clearly made and posted by someone who clearly didn't know better and hadn't lurked around enough to know all the sort of unspoken rules that come along with jump making.

It's kind of like yelling at a little kid for not knowing how to play the video game they just got.

Don't bother having more than one dragonblooded exaltation since you can get all of the caste abilities with a charm.
Same with Sidereals although that one makes the pattern spiders unhappy. Doesn't matter once you leave the jump though. It's not even breaking fate the spiders just don't understand what you're doing.

You could also get away with just one lunar exaltation as well if you didn't settle into a caste. I think the jump is going to have an option to keep that from being a really bad idea too which is nice since otherwise the wyld taint would kill you.

As for solar, abyssal, and infernal you'd probably just want one of the first two, with one being twilight and the other being eclipse for the sweet damage reduction and spirit/raksha charmshare. Even if you get all the other exalt charmsets you don't want to miss out on principle of movement, essence plethora and reserve of will.
The rest should be infernal exaltations that come from other devil tigers groomed for what you want them to do to give the maximum amount of extra charmsets/inner worlds.

Of course the multi soul trick might not work at all since having contradictory essence patterns in your body tends to be lethal. It's not just a matter of not having room, but rather like trying to run both a SECAM and PAL TV off an American outlet at the same time. Except it's in reverse and all the TVs are putting out more energy than a nuclear reactor.

>>51016694
I doubt it. You can only have it bought up to your essence level which will still be at ten regardless of how much you're breaking the setting with multiple exaltations.
Of course there's not really anything stopping you from developing mote pool expanding custom charms to get that much eventually anyways.
In fact you probably get one or two of those free by being a devil tiger. All the other Yozi apparantly have one despite already having a kilomote.

It's suffering, but I'm going under the assumption that the jump will let you off the resonance hook after it's over. So theres just no reason to try and get more abyssal exaltations above the one you'd get from the jump since the caste abilities aren't really must haves.
>>
>>51016768

There's a few ways to make the cube a part of you as well if you don't like relying on items. Like the perk in Claymore or if you're desperate Lost Odyssey

Just hang around your Lunar waifu. She can fill your dark soul with light.

Really. It's an actual rule in the setting, you can break all the Neverborn's laws except one if it involves your Lunar. They can even call you by your real name and all that. The only thing you don't get a free pass on is the law against killing other creatures of death.

>>51016796
Uh, why can't you interpret merged exaltation as giving you a essence level above ten? Is there any in-setting explanation as to why that wouldn't be the case?
>>
>>51016843
Essence level is enlightenment. If you're at ten you're fully enlightened as to how essence works.
There's not really any further to go.

Different types of exaltations achieve enlightenment in different ways, but you'd still just have the same level of understanding filtered through a different lens.

Then you might also want to check out Hrotsvitha, the Spawning Forest. He's one of Isidoros's souls, and is sort of an old-fashioned fertility god. Lots of lust and passion and impossible creatures being spawned in the depths of his brass forest form. Kind of a cool dude.

>you being her kid
>implying that would stop her
>>
>>51016843
Two reasons: Firstly, Essence levels don't necessarily stack in the first place. They're markers of your attunement to the flow of Essence through your soul and the world. Taking two weak understandings of Essence and combining them together wouldn't necessarily make for a strong understanding of Essence.

Secondly, Essence 10 is the highest it goes. Nothing has a higher Essence than 10. This doesn't mean that there's nowhere to go in terms of power once you reach Essence 10, all of the Yozi and Incarnae are at that level and yet there are clear differences in power between them. It just means that your advancement progresses along different lines, usually ones of inventing powerful custom charms.

You might also like Kimbery. Despite strong themes of motherhood and life, the Exalted castrated her when they banished her to Malfeas. So now she's infertile. Still a big slut though. To make up for it, she likes to corrupt lifeforms into suiting her sphere and tastes. Stuff like mutating animals into monsters, turning people into Akuma, and using magic to impregnate rocks with monsters.

Also she apparently has things like penis anemones she makes out of corpses that fall into her waters. She rearranges their bodies and makes sea life out of parts of it.

Both valid points.

Admittedly I just find the idea of being a creature of death icky, but it would be pretty useful for someone running an undead-themed chain. It would be a really, really good idea to innovate Necromancy spells that /aren't/ so pointlessly edgy most of them are worse at killing things quickly that regular sorcery.

>Yozi-Kin - 200 * Being a demon blooded of someone. Not sure who yet. Any suggestions for Isidoros or Malfeas demons? Not that familiar with them.
Amalion. One of Malfeas's souls, and a really nice lady. She's all the positive aspects of him being the demon city, lots of love for architecture and art and construction. Also so beautiful that she has to wear a veil for fear that she'll accidentally mind-whammy anyone who sees her smile. The fact that she does this of her own free will rather than having to be forced is a good indicator of her benevolence, most demons would be fine with blasting everyone with their eldritch beauty.

Now, here's where it gets interesting. You're a Drop-In, so you're not your Third Circle Demon patron's child but just someone they elevated with a bit of their power. Amalion has an Intimacy of love both for her First Age husband (she's so benevolent that the Solars were totally fine with her marrying one of them and moving to Creation to be with him), and to the current bearer of his Exaltation. Said bearer is unspecified, for the sake of setting up interesting plots. Suppose you're that bearer, your Infernal shard is his corrupted Solar shard. And you've got the perks for remembering your Past Life, meaning that you're as close to being her husband as she'll ever find. Perhaps her blessing was just making up for a thousand years of missed anniversary presents. Though if you do this story, you should probably have a pod or Blue Feather. Don't leave the lady waiting while you gallivant across the multiverse.

The reason it's a problem in the real world is maturity and ability to consent. That doesn't exist with an immortal demon prostitute. When in doubt, NPCs ain't bad. There's also enemies, which could mean something like a Hater origin, or Origins based off the big bosses.

It would be a massive let down since your exaltation would no longer recognize you as human and would fuck off.
Of course that's what normally happens. If exaltations are fiat stuck to you it would probably just be dissapointing since being a low essence god isn't very impressive if you're already an exalt.
The god in quesiton doing the investment would probably be very confused as to why you'd want it.

My personal recommendation is just to use the King is Dead Sidereal charm to get whatever god powers you want. Sure you need to have them dead first, but if you've got their boss on hand and can convince them to let you take up the torch it's fine. Normally that would also make you lose your exaltation, but InNomine mentioned that fiat would stop you from losing it a while back.

Maybe godbloods can do it on their own, I don't really remember for sure and it would be rather pointless if you're already an exalt since you've got the best of both worlds. Same with demonbloods, but they turn into demons.
Ghost bloods are right out since you just die and become a ghost.
Fae bloods are straight up fucked and are stuck halfway forever. They usually go crazy and suicide from their permanently conflicting nature, but I assume picking that option isn't a trap since you have to pay for it.

Half castes don't really get anything special beyond having a higher chance to exalt as their type I think. You definitely couldn't on your own as one of them.

Funny question indeed. Because while none of her actual Charms have shown up her entry in the Compass: Malfeas book showcases two very different sides.

There's the Black Lotus Pagoa: A high class establishment carved out of a single piece of jet, where all of the employees are highly trained in the conventional disciplines-as well as etiquette-while some cater to more abstract things like stimulation by changing colours. Yes, there is a non-zero chance the mysterious tile pattern fetish anon of antiquity could find his significant other in that residence.

Then there's the Stockade which is, bluntly, a glorfied rape dungeon made of iron and brass where the dregs of Hell are locked up in cages and clients pay to be able to do whatever they want to the. Apparently there's a very fast overturn.

And that's just two establishments. On a street paved with the bones of virgins, lined with houses of brass and crystal, found on many layers of Malfeas imultaneously which stretches for miles in every direction no matter where one stands on it. Damned if I know how one gets out; presumably there's handy door portals inside of her marked somewhere.

In short, expect the unexpected, anticipate the worst and be on your guard for the best. And whatever you do, keep any Charms that cure Sickness effects on hand at all times.

Not that I would know from personal experience or anything.

Incidentally, did you know she's especially attracted towards "powerful beings of non-demonic origin such as the Chosen"? Do you know how hard it is to give therapy to a crippled universal overlord when part of his soul keeps trying to blow you?! Do you know how USEFUL Cosmic Transcendence of Virtue is?!?

>>51017470

Damn straight. Leave it to Malfeas to figure out how to weaponise his own lewd feelings into an Exalt-smothering bane.

Though if, hypothetically, one had a presence of equal and surpassingly entrancing beauty from such jumps as Skullduggery Pleasant, Akame ga Kill. And if, theoretically, one had both a mystic technique from Storm Hawks called The Binding that bypasses conventional defences through emotional bonds as well as the power to inflict addiction of even greater potency on such a being-like say, actuators that inject the vastly intensified experience of playing Games of Divinity. Then one might argue beating such a being at her own game to leave her a broken, weeping mess might constitute an act of poetic justice for all the lives she has destroyed.

Of course, I speak entirely in hypotheticals.

I would also note that one with all the White Court Vampire perks aligned with House Raith and the capstone-boosted Noble Demon from Disgaea would find themselves with a rather solid foundation for attempting such an endeavor.

Same with any other kind of multipurchase charm that's not in type. It's going to be really tough finding a god with the higher levels that would be willing to tutor you.

In fact you need to get each version of every spirit charm seperately if you want them so if you want to be able to curse people by spitting on them and give the same curse by throwing them down the stairs you'd need to learn the otherwise identical charm from each respective god each time for different versions.

>>
>>51018238
Nope.

Um. Good luck. Just uh. Be prepared, I'm sure you know what for.
>>
>>51018238
Genesis is the most boring chapter. At least do Judges or something.

Goddamnit Mardukth, I thought I was done with my Infernals build.
Then you have to go point out "this means going Devil-Tiger you can have two sets of custom themes to make charms from".
And then I got recursive.
Seriously it's a great jump and can only get better if your proposed changes are anything to go by.

Also some questions:
Is there a specific set of powers for the hearthstone mentioned in the Residence of Shadows (besides relocating the manse every decade)? If there isn't, what's its approx. dot rating (so I can make them up or use a standard hearthstone's powers)? Sorry if you already answered this somewhere.

Also just want to clarify that companions get a background and the appropriate discounts on perks and items?

>>51013201
I go back and retcon the build.
>>
>>51018301
What's the coolest chapter?
I always thought Exodus was dope as fuck.
>>
>>51018301
Nah, that would be Numbers which is literally just God's shopping list for what he wants you to sacrifice to him.

>>51018333
Judges is good, Kings as its' moments. I'm a sucker for apocalyptic endings though, so it's Revelations for me.
>>
>>51018333
Exodus is neat, but it kinda makes you hate the Israelites because they're big stupid assholes every step of the way.
>>
>>51018333
Judges is the one with widest appeal, because it could also be called "That time when God decided the Hebrews need to be ruled by superhumans."

Fedoras?

Is Sorcery Savant from BTVS just a magic learning booster, or does it also boost raw magical power? I can't really tell.
>>
>>51018494
Oh, it's both.

Good lord is it ever both.

Ecclesiastes

It's Gil getting all sad and mopey.

In Mass Effect, biotic powers are at least partially limited by the amount of electricity the user can generate, right?

Could give yourself a massive boost with a few electricity generation perks?

GOfags can be excused from confusing them at least. Well, they could if GO wasn't shit.
>>
>>51018704
>>51018710

I'll just fuck off back to my box then
>>
>>51018710
It's not like it's limited to GO, though. Really, anyone who likes Fate or Exalted has shit taste.
>>
>>51018795
I like how you expanded your shitposting to whining about Fate. People too hard to bait when that conversation is going on, huh?
>>
>>51018804
He has a point, though. The thread's been entirely consumed by Fate- and Exalted-posting for the last few weeks.
>>
>>51018795
Fuck off, sir. I wouldn't have brought up Fate if it didn't involve mythological figures, or amusingly similar characters. If you feel so strongly about it, by all means exit the premises.
>>
>>51018810
It's not like you can't bring up another subject anon. Maybe people will talk about it instead. If they don't, I guess you just weren't as interesting.
>>
>>51018810
No, he doesn't. People talk about the setting they like. Nothing stops them from talking about other settings they like. Hell, we had a few segues into Steven Universe, and at least one about MCU shenanigans.

Even if it was a problem-what the hell do you expect to do about it? Thought-police the thread? Use your magical internet powers to force people to not talk about settings they find interesting?

Or, I don't know, talk about something you'd rather talk about?
>>
>>51018795
Example of something thats good then?
>>
>>51018810
It's not really a bad thing though. We've always revolved around the same set of core jumps, Worm, Naruto, Marvel, Fate, 40k because we're /tg/ and now Exalted. It's just a constant anchor against shitposting.
>>
>>51018830
>>51018837
I actually quite enjoy the Exalted talk, though I can see why some might find it annoying. I'm not really a fan of the Fate-posting, though, considering it's usually about waifus to the exclusion of everything else.
>>
>>51015584
I have yet to read the LNs, but watching the anime and reading the manga:

>Top tiers can destroy and casually repair large cities, but while in the current world their mana pools are very hard to refill unless they go crazy and start genociding
>Weapons made by fragments of the God-tree
>Archangels creating weapons that cut through anything

Although is mostly comedy/slice of life, an experienced low-mid tier should be able to deal with the strongests.
>>
>>51018870
Realistic for people that ignore or don't care about the "core jumps" of this community, this thread moves extremely slowly and can be a pain in the ass to read, because you have to basically recognize what a conversation is about, ignore it, and then still check back to see if anything interesting came up.
>>
>>51018870
I can agree with this, actually. I can't follow but I enjoy that Exalted talk mainly involves actually learning more about the setting than LOOK AT MY WAIFU ARE HER BREASTS NOT THE POOFIEST, as well as shitting on all the characters.

There's something endearing about a bunch of people being super into something but also mocking it at every opportunity. Fate (and Naruto, and Bleach)posters on the other hand seem to be dead serious.
>>
>>51018971
You get a lot of folks here who are just as serious about Exalted as the Fateposters are about Fate, it's just that Exalted is vague, with a flimsy TTRPG basis so there isn't as much established as in Fate. If anything, Exaltedposters are actually more serious than Fateposters, since most Fateposters don't know shit about the mechanics and worldbuilding behind the different Fateverses very well.
