I have a bad habit of playing my male characters stoic as hell. Since they don't open up about their pain, most of my groups assume I don't recognize the character's inner turmoil and that I'm just "playing the numbers".

I don't seem to have that mental block with my female characters. So, when I play female characters, people get more invested in them, I even get compliments here and there.

I try to shoot for a 50/50 split on character gender, but the games where I've played male have observably died more frequently and more quickly than the ones I didn't. That kind of skews my numbers.

As I recall he even went into the silliness of expecting orcs, who typically only venture into human territories for resources or massive wars would drop everything to go rape some women when they know there are going to be huge efforts against them. And similar to how half-elves are common in any area where humans and elves have lived near each other, the sane is true of orcs and humans. Also there's another piece of writing that goes into detail about how in one of the eastern regions of Faerun, orc men are more or less the ideal mate due to the harshness of life out there and the fact that your orc husband could maintain twice the farm that a human could by himself, which is part of why tensions have risen with humans getting upset about stealing jobs and women. Especially with the orc culture of the region not seeing a problem with polygamy as long as you provide for uour wives/kids.

So, Greenwood may write a lot about sex, but he doesn't go full hentai logic, as opposed to Paizo's writers.

As a male, I often feel that I'm going to be judged on male characters differently than female characters, and that I actually do play them differently.

Male characters are usually more what I consider an inspiring, ideal man. In my case, strongly moralistic individuals that try to do the greatest good and deal with their own flaws and weaknesses. The problem comes from how stiff this gets. Think like Superman - Superman is still a great character, but just about everyone knows what he's like, and attempts to force him out of his traditional characterization feel forced and generally don't have a good result. I have little desire to play a male differently, since oftentimes the way to vary them up makes them less ideal to me, and they feel distasteful. It gets boring.

But female characters are usually more along the lines of what I find attractive in a woman, and because my tastes are varied, this means the female characters can be varied. As well, I'm not feeling as pressured - I'm obviously not a girl, and what my character does isn't reflected back on me. It's okay for a female character to be cute, where a male character acting similarly would be seen as effeminate or weak. There are some problems, but overall it gives me a lot more freedom.

Maybe this requires some cooperation with the DM here (though that should not be a problem, considering TTRPG are cooperative storytelling at heart) but try giving your male characters a 'cute' sidekick. Maybe your character is a single father who takes his daughter on adventures because there's nobody else to take care of her in his absence, maybe he has a sassy pegasus as a mount, or maybe he constantly has a snarky, sarcastic pseudodragon on his shoulder. Giving this character a cute confidant gives you two options:
1. The character already takes care (or tolerates) these people/creatures, revealing he has either a kind heart or a lot of patience
2. It allows the character to break his stoic shield to at least one NPC and reveal some of his inner turmoil. Maybe the single father constantly apologizes to his daughter for not being a good enough parent on his own, maybe the paladin indulges in a few sassy pegasus jokes, maybe the knight tries to help his snarky pseudodragon friend to see the positive side of things.

Just a suggestion, do with it as you will.
You now imagine a paladin's pegasus checking out girls and telling his rider "Dayum son, dis mamacita rite here has sum honkey-tonk in dat badonkadonk 'namsayin'? Of course you know 'namsayin'!"

Sorry but all I have to go on in for figuring the dragon's gender is that the party met the dragon in a dream who appeared as an old albino member of my character's species but when said dragon was previously interacting with us in the real world it was through a, possibly, magically created, female albino version of my PC's race. At the time I did not want to dig too deeply into what my GM has created in regards to his dragons so that I could RP my character with a genuine sense of wonder about the creatures.

I'm a sub in a BDSM relationship and oddly enough this is the closest to being an equal I've been in any relationship I've ever had.
