She's "stable". Given that she was apparently on CPR for quite a while, that's quite likely to be "stable vegetable" until her family gets to the acceptance stage of the grief handling and tell the doctors to take her off life support.

huge faggot, its a blood stone or whatever it is called in english that can develop really easily in anyone taking a plane and cause this. Most people dying because of this have 20-30years old because they take very long long flight without moving.

If you dont have the special socks that compressed the blood in your leg, you HAVE to walk every 2 hours on your plane flight

"Did you ever hear the Tragedy of Darth Plagueis the Wise? It's a Sith legend. Darth Plagueis was a Dark Lord of the Sith so powerful and so wise, he could use the Force to influence the midi-chlorians to create...life. He had such a knowledge of the Dark Side, he could even keep the ones he cared about...from dying. He became so powerful, the only thing he was afraid of was losing his power...which, eventually of course, he did. Unfortunately, he taught his apprentice everything he knew. Then his apprentice killed him in his sleep. Ironic. He could save others from death...but not himself."

Fuck, right now I could be easily swayed to the dark side for that knowledge. RIP

Leia was kinda what turned me on to sci-fi and fantasy stuff because when I was a kid she showed me that girls could be kickass heroines too (before then I thought that scifi fantasy stuff was a "boys only" thing even though I thought it was kinda cool-looking), so I kinda idolized her a lot when I was younger and when I got older I read her books and stuff.

It should be relatively simple to make a Star Wars-looking helmet out of it, assuming you have some talent, tools and experience.

Making something close to an exact copy won't be.

If you removed the lower mask and those goggles, and built up a crest, it could be a reasonably good approximation once suitably painted & weathered

All the rebel helmet is, is a US APH-6B flight helmet with a vacuformed plastic shell over the top to make it look sci-fi.

You can buy the vacuformed shell from most Starwars prop companies, and attach it to your helmet. Check out Rebel Legion or 501st websites.

There is also a difference in that atrocities, while horrible, are largely impersonal.

Celebrities are celebrities because they exist in the public eye and part of that is connecting with people on a personal level. Their job, especially in the case of actors is to make you care about them.

So it's easy to understand why one illicits a stronger emotional response.

Wilder didn't hit me as hard as I might have expected. I think it was knowing that he had suffered from Alzheimer's for years and that he was probably only a shell of himself at that point made it a little better.

I'm Minnesotan, so Prince's death was like losing actual royalty.

There has actually been a significant increase in 2016, it's not just a meme or a coincidence. Have a BBC analysis from earlier in the year and a more recent Telegraph analysis about why.

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-36108133
http://www.telegraph.co.uk/men/thinking-man/why-are-so-many-celebrities-dying-in-2016/

TL;DR
The ride of Music and TV stars has caught up with those people getting old and a great deal of them lived very unhealthy lives.

I think the worst part for me is that she was in the middle of filming the new trilogy. After years of being more or less out of the movie business due to her health problems, she finally got back into the spotlight (I know she never stopped acting entirely, but she did have to keep a really low profile for a long time). She was finally about to take the role she should have had, the one Harrison Ford got, being an A-list movie star, and then it's all snatched away, from us and from her. We could have had another twenty years with Carrie Fischer.

And if the trilogy had been finished at least we could have had something to remember her by.

The other thing that really gets me is it happening so close to the end of the year as well. It's like 2016 decided to give us a final middle finger, just when we thought it was over. This year has felt like living through a season of Game of Thrones: one disaster after another, and then just before the season finale someone you really loved is killed off.

While the destruction of Jedha City was initially believed to have been the result of a mining operation gone horribly awry, further investigation - coupled with the cowardly attack on the industrial facilities on the world of Scarrif by the terrorist organization calling itself 'The Alliance to Restore the Republic' - revealed the shocking existence of a rebel-held superweapon. This weapon, believed to represent the completion of a Clone Wars-era Separatist prototype and apparently capable of destroying entire planetary landmasses, has since been irrefutably linked by ISB agents to Alderaan's former senator - and long suspected rebel sympathizer - Bail Organa.

Following the attacks on Jedha and Scarrif and with evidence of an impending attack on the galactic capital of Coruscant, Imperial forces were left with no choice but to mount an offensive against Organa's believed base of operations on his homeworld of Alderaan. This precision strike was launched from the Empire's new DS-1 'Peace Star' Mobile Battlestation with the intent of eliminating the superweapon and any other rebel forces with the minimum possible collateral damage. Tragically, damage received during the skirmish caused the highly unstable superweapon to overload- taking with it the entire planet of Alderaan and all beings currently residing there.

In spite of these tragedies, the Empire remains strong and Emperor Palpatine himself took to the holonet to assure galactic citizens that the foundation of peace and order built up over the last twenty years remains strong. Make no mistake- the murderous traitors responsible for the destruction of Alderaan, and numerous other horrific atrocities across the galaxy, are at this very moment being hunted down by Grand Moff Wilhuff Tarkin himself and will soon face the full fury of the Imperial military.

My new group of 5 consists solely of characters that are hugely indebted to the same hutt kajidic. All of them have been called in by an important hutt from the kajidic to do a set of jobs they can't refuse because he has all of them by the balls. Basically they have maximum obligation a group can have and its all debt by to the same guys.

Three of them are a smuggling trio known as reliable beforehands that lend the money to buy a new ship and invested all their money and assets into the new ship and into as much of the most illegal most profitable cargo they could get. They were screwed out of the cargo and now have to do suicide missions for the hutts to repay everything.

What is the best kind of smuggling ship I could really give them that they could afford with such money and that can hold 5 crew members and some cargo. I am talking
100% Obligation for the group at whole, a whole small campaign about a string of "one last chance before I have all of you sold as cheap sex slaves".

How nice of a ship would that be worth in your opinion? I don't want to give them the most OP uber vehicle, but the ones in the books seem kind of like there are only extremely basic and crap ones and extremely shiny and bulky ones that fit that descripiton. Am I wrong? Feel free to suggest other ships not in one of the core books, as long as I can find a statblock in the pastebin or wherever I'll be fine with it.

He would have been blinded by the Force lightning directly to his eyes and hobbled by the fall. Separated with his lightsaber, he would be nursed back to health by the incredibly poor denizens of Level 1309.

But it wouldn't be long before he came face-to-face with Stormtroopers, as the old Clone armor was phased out with the transition to the Empire. They would attack the very people that saved Mace's life, and he would call upon the Force to defend them, only to find the constant source of his spiritual, unnatural power that had driven him to the heights of the Jedi Order... empty. He had grown deaf to it.

He had trusted in the Force so completely, so utterly, that when it failed him - because that's what it did, the Force failed Mace Windu - he was broken. How could he trust the Force anymore?

And that realization would fill his heart with darkness and make him crazy. He'd drink to silence his self-hatred and ignore the consequences of his failures, even as the last remnants of the Republic were swept away by the new Empire.

And there he would wait, day in and day out, until he found a reason to believe again. Or not, and die in obscurity.

At least, that's where he was in my campaign, before my PCs found Mace Windu.

So I was gonna run a modified version of Friends Like These for my Imperial Remnant campaign (Actually two campaigns I am hoping to keep canon to each other) I realize my players are here so please don;'t read the spoilers, or do they don';t matter TOO much.
Since they're fighting the Senex/Juvex slavers overall I was thinking of making the Zygerrians into a rival house to the one replacing the role of the Empire, but my question is should I replace the Mandos? The other day's game has a Mando PC but they're on the other side of the sector so they shouldn't really matter much, I was thinking of going with Morgukai so they're aliens that would not get along with the slavers (And replacing the Talz with something more hot-weather friendly because Red Nikto would not live in cold taiga.) But they don't really fit the highly mobile commando niche that would make Mandos so useful at defending tall silos. Should I find a different option? After all I'd just need to change the Mando LEADERS to aliens for some of the plot points to work.

One thing i have been wondering about SW freighters for the longest time.
Why are these ships freighters? They seem to have fuck all cargo space in them.

I really don't know. I've always explained it that, in star wars, a starship is like a car, and a Freighter is vastly preferable to a starfighter, and easier to run then something bigger. Freighters are a huge market because they can be civilian owned, are generally comfortable to travel in, and can be operated on a limited budget. In my canon, this comes from a time period in Republic history where it was romantic and cool to get a small ship and chart new hyperspace routes, enough that its still a cultural meme for some iconic cultures (Corellia and Duros for example).

As for the small amount of cargo space, this is just clever edge-of-legality marketing. Calling something a "Freighter" allows you to sell it to civilians, when its really just a larger Heavy Fighter. Like the Aggressor is a good example - its a VHF, but its pretty much a Light Light Freighter, like the HWK-290. But, you sell it without guns, you use euphemism to disguise the combat grade armor plating, sell the supercharged engines as a "racing package" (as in "not blockade running or combat"), and you now have a way to sell a combat vessel to anyone with credits, therefore widening the market. Mercenaries, Bounty Hunters, small time shipping firms wanting escort craft, etc.
>>
>>50909582
What sort of K-Wings are we talking here?
>>
>>50909625
So it's basically a van with .50cal proof plating, race car engine and room for a machine gun turret?
>>
>>50909625
There are still civilian and security Starfighters. Z-95's come to mind for 'muscle' fighters while the Naboo Starfighters are basically space supercars. Ricers would be Delta-7's maybe.
>>
>>50909681
>Ricers would be Delta-7's maybe.
D-7s are already really, really high-performance at their baseline and their mods are typically functional rather than purely aesthetic. A ricer would be more like a Pinook or Cloakshape covered in gubbins.

That honestly depends I would imagine. If your on Nar Shaddaa, and you have the creds (and havent gotten shivved), then you can buy whatever the hell you want. Corporate Sector, Imperial, or Republic Space, especially the Core, likely requires certain licenses, but again this depends. You probably have a hard time buying a blaster pistol on Alderaan, when you wouldn't have that trouble at all on Abregado Rae. On Corellia, you can likely buy a Z-95 factory new from an Incom dealership, complete with cannons, and only need to flash a certification once, when you likely can't legally do that on Coruscant or Cinnagar. During the Empire, buying a Starfighter for personal ownership will likely put you on a watch list for the ISB, in case you might be a Rebel

Either way, being able to buy a Z-95 doesn't mean you can buy a T-65 or a BTL-A4. You likely need some kind of license to even start the process on a rent-to-own for a Skipray.
>>
>>50909552

"Freighter" seems to be ridiculously wide a label in SW, going from ships like the Barloz that actually can haul a bunch for their size, to HWKs that can't haul shit, to stuff like the YT-1300 with its decent-but-not-huge cargo holds.

I mean, I see where stuff like the YTs become the choice for smugglers and the like. When you're slipping compact but high value cargo, the mix of having decent cargo holds and ability to stay undetected and evade pursuit though sheer speed is a valuable combination over taking a heavy freighter. But calling the HWK a freighter is kind of stretching the term a lot, probably for marketing reasons.

That was the whole point of the HWK, it was marketed and sold as a Fast Courier that could haul small amounts of high value cargo - but really, it never sold well because genuine traders want to haul in bulk, and smugglers want some cargo space too.

Its better as Bounty Hunter\Mercenary ship

More like 1967 Shelby GT500's, because their performance is great, and they aren't made anymore because KSE went out of business and was written off by its parent company KDY, considering its more lucrative to churn out star destroyers then it is to make civilian ships

They're basically a mix of 1960's-early 70's muscle cars that are fairly tough, go fast in a straight line, can be fixed by a neanderthal with a lump hammer- can't turn, won't stop and driven by people who can probably sell you some weed and a dodgy pistol.

Eh, they're more like trucks. Light freighters would be pickups and the ubiquitous YTs would probably stand in for the iconic Ford F-series trucks.

How's the balance with Jedi in FFG's system?

Assuming it's not as bad as D6 and Saga
>>
>>50910525
It isn't as bad at all. A Force-sensitive can happily coexist with a smuggler or Rebel. You need to invest XP in powers to do much of anything with the Force, and while you're doing that the Heavy can sink his into carrying a fucking E-web like a rifle or the fighter pilot can learn how to instakill TIEs with a perfectly placed shot
>>
>>50910525
I fear a lot more droids that spec in heavy ranged weaponry than Jedi.

One of my players made an Astromech droid geared for heavy weaponry and fought a lot alongside the Lightsaber weilding force user maniac, both did really well in their respective areas but nothing too crazy that one could outshine the other. At least regarding combat.

For intimidation we had a Fortitude 7 medic that had an obsession with bacta and honey, he was rarely seen with clothes.

My point is, pretty balanced as long as everyone has the same XP but there's still plenty of room to get some crazy stuff
>>
>>50910587
>>50910525
Also, at any point one of the "regular" characters from Edge of the Empire or Age of Rebellion can suddenly turn out to have latent Force-sensitivity all along, if they have the XP to take FS Exile/Emergent.

With approximately three seconds until total shutdown, K-2SO listened to Cassian's voice cry his name one last time. Then, without regret, the droid turned his weapon on the console. The comm cut out. With the controls now reduced to a melted plastoid-metal compound, the stormtroopers would have considerable difficulty entering the vault.

With one second left until total shutdown, K-2SO chose to mentally simulate an impossible scenario in which Cassian Andor escaped alive.

The simulation pleased him.

Backlash to NJO heavily associated with general backlash against prequel era, NJO not necessarily as bad as people claim, consider hivemind effect, whenever a great majority of people accept something for a conventional wisdom they seldom have actual knowledge of it themselves.

But yeah the NJO isn't as bad as some people say. Some pretty decent character development, shakes up the status quo and ends the "imperial superweapon of the week" formula that had become standard post-thrawn. Definitely hurt by its needlessly edgy antagonists though. Would have been better with the original dark jedi/sith invasions from OUTER SPACE or unknown regions. Even more so hurt by the books set afterwards completely ignoring the effects of the Vong wars and especially character development. Looking at fucking you, you bug loving freak, troy denning and the dark nest trilogy. Guess that's what you get when a million authors share the same setting. Thanks obama

For my character I decided on a Y-Wing bomber for the ship, but seeing as how the character is already a Podracing mechanic I was wondering if it is possible to swap out some parts and make the large engines in back of the Y-Wing two large Podracing engines.

>>50913071
No. Definitely not, unless you catch it with shields down in dry dock and have planted bombs on it. Or ram it. Yeah, ramming it would be the only plausible way one dreadnaught could get the drop on a vic.
Consider Dark Force rising, it takes three or four dreadnaughts blasting with ion cannons, having caught an ISD off guard, just to get it to stop firing and arrange for an escape. In that same book, a dreadnaught rams an ISD and destroys it.
