The latter, when I find the drive I can't find the time, but when I find the time I can't find the drive. I've spent the entire time that advertisment has been up going, "Oh yeah, that would be a cool thing to apply to! I've got [4] ideas and I just need to... Eh, I need to figure out which I want to do most." And then the cycle just repeats.

The four ideas are:

He's huge, awkward, always wants to do the right thing but his yokel ways make him seem dumb, and although he's quite a looker he's terrible with conversation. Might make him a Half-Giant Warder (OD/ZS) to reflect he's not *really* a Paladin and more wise than intelligent.

As much as I hate this thread, this is a legitimate question so I feel compelled to answer it. The answer is: Yes, there /are/ Intelligence based vigilantes from Legendary Games. In fact, /ANY/ Vigilante could become Intelligence based. The problem is that the feat/social talent for that is in the SECOND book, Legendary Villains: Vigilantes. Genius Vigilante is what you're looking for, and it's going to eat your 1st level vigilante talent. If you're going like, Exposed, then it's not a bad deal, but for normal vigilantes losing that first talent is kinda lame.

I fucking hate Pathfinder, man. The ridiculous power of casters, the amount of hoops to jump through to be a viable character that's not a caster. Interacting with HP is dumb. The amount of books to look through is dumb. It's a dumb game.

But /pfg/ has all of the dumb posts that make me keep coming back. /pfg/ has the endearing combination of regular /tg/ toxicity and stupid cuteposting that gives it a certain defined personality. Meanwhike /5eg/ looks like some kind of normie powered machine.

It's a feat called Genius Vigilante and can be taken instead of the social talent gained at 1st lv.

What vigilante archetype fits Kurat best now a days? I am concerned Cabalist really does not.

I am really disappointed there is no spy theme'd vigilante archetype either by Paizo or in legendary vigilantes/villans:vigilante.

I am also considering reducing his age so he isn't quite as old. In a long form game like this there is a legitimate change of Kurat aging into venerable and dying at max age. As well I don't think I want to have quite as much aging due to wanting to be more dex based.

A thought here is as well, with his current back story I am thinking he was a bit higher level in his youth, no higher than 5 or 6, but as he has aged he has grown out of practice (particularly during his time as chief diplomat).

Anyway though, any thoughts on archetypes that would fit the old spy well?

So the Heal skill also covers all medical knowledge. Knowing about diseases, anatomy, etc. is the heal skill. Identifying how someone died is based on the heal skill. Knowledge of medicine is heal.

I plan on exploiting Throat Slicer on pinned targets, so damage isn't a worry here, I want to simply focus on exploiting the fuck out of grapples.

I mean I guess it doesn't really matter. Kurat believes in old hobgoblin traditions so he encourages military service and training no matter the sex of his child. His eldest is a boy though.

He wasn't married to all these women at the time, but he has planned on essentially making all of his bastards legitimized. He planned on doing this from the beginning as it is a hobgoblin cultural thing. He raised them all no differently from each other, at least not based on mother. Though his second wife likely is not very happy about this.

Some of my favorite things:
Fighter is viable now with Advanced Weapon/Armor Training. All on the pfsrd's Fighter page

Custom weapons are a thing. Check the bottom of the Weapons page

Wizard and Arcanist got more archetypes that make them able to snipe spells from divine casters' spell lists, including the Pact Wizard (Haunted Heroes Handbook, not Familiar Folio) and the Collegiate Initiate Arcanist, whose in-setting name is different, but I don't remember how to spell it.

Path of War: Expanded and Spheres of Power are things now, and they're the big hot topic 3pp things right now

Paizo have continued to be shitters trying to ruin anything that could have been cool in Golarion, but they managed to make the Lands of the Linnorm Kings pretty cool, likely by accident.

The Druid has received next to no new content the whole time you've been gone, so if you're trying to make a new character to get back into it, the familiarity might be nice.

Big errata waves came out and ruined a lot of previously nice magical items for no real reason; see above: Paizo are shitters

Some new AP stuff came out, but I haven't personally followed much of it beyond finding out that it's not very good.

I know I'm forgetting a ton of content, but it's late and trying to go through two years of content off the top of my head is hard. Hope I could help a bit.

Gorum is a physical manifestation of war, and while that in itself is boring the little details that come with it make him one of the best gods in the setting. Like how Asmodeus is actually pretty friendly with Gorum, since dickish Asmodeans are used to manipulating Gorumites into fighting battles for them, and the Gorumites don't care because hey, they're fighting. Or imagine what happens after they die. Viking funeral probably, but there was this post suggesting that Gorumites corpses are cremated, then the carbon is used to forge new steel for weapons and armor. It's impractical, but badass as fuck, and that ideal, of everything in your being focused on battle, war, a constant fight, that appeals to me on a level that some of the more diverse gods don't have.

And then this fuck shows up with 'lol, he's all about war, but not ALL all about war, so like, he's still chill, don't worry."

Never knew it was that common. Here's mine:

So basically after combat, someone with Heal invested can make one roll and bring everyone up to some number of minimum hit points, but not re-roll on one guy repeatedly or be forced to roll many times for the whole party.

At no point do you reliably go up to a safe level of hit points so I never feel like it's unbalancing. On a really good roll with high investment of multiple sources (like you have high wis, a healer kit, some racial +2, and took skill focus), you can get the party into the range where they would go down in more than one single attack at your current level. But the nat 20 you'd need for that probably consumed a daily resource anyway.

Then again, my players aren't bright enough to bring magical healing half the time when a party is formed, so it's kind of necessary.

It's called Treat Deadly Wounds.

It's a default usage of the Heal Skill.

You restore equal to the target's HD in HP, and if you beat the DC by enough, you also add your wisdom.

The Skill Unlock for Heal works off it, making it also restore hp as if the person had rested for 8 hours, then 24 hours, then three sets of 8 hours, then three sets of 24 hours. If I recall correctly.

Magic/nonmagic in this case do not matter: When stacking increases - and there are increases one can stack - the same ones cannot. Same, however, in this case, refers to actual vs effective ('virtual' you could say).

First you have the actual item size. OBVIOUSLY this does not stack: You cannot have a large and huge and gargantuan shield. If you can wield items larger than your size normally would, you buy a bigger one. But it's a large sword to begin with; a bigass slab.

Then YOU, can get enlarged. Grow a step and so does your gear.

Finally, your equipment can "count as x sizes larger for the purposes of damage", which is known as an 'effective size increase' and explicitly does not stack with itself.

What the application to these guys campaign was claiming, as seen in the quote, is that the shield spikes - which modify a shield to act if it were a weapon one size larger, stack with Bashing - which is an enchantment that modifies a shield to deal damage as if it were two sizes larger, and with Impact - which is an enchantment that modifies a weapon to deal damage as if it were one size larger.

In reality: shields are both armors and weapons but all three parts are boosting the weapon in the same way: All three let the shield deal damage as if it were a weapon x sizes larger. They are purchased in different ways, but all three do the exact same thing and are explicitly not allowed to stack. Bashing is 2 while the others are 1, so X = 2.

Depends on what you want to do; Dwarves are actually super-supported and have a bunch of things they can do, arguably even better than a Human can.
They make amazing Inquisitors, arguably even better than a human because they have attributes in the right places, can dump CHA more safely, and have natural anti-magic abilities. Similarly they're great Druids because their slower speed doesn't affect them when they wildshape, but barding that they wear still doesn't slow them down.
As Fighters they have a ton of feats to throw at combat, allowing them to dip into the dwarf-focused feats that can make them actually really good at fighting against magic or using weird dwarven things; Barbarian also is a great choice to offset the speed penalty and to make their rages last a long time.
On a stranger note, they make pretty good Kineticists thanks to, again, having the stats in the right places and because the sheer number of mobility options makes their slower speed a non-issue.

Why do idiots say shit like "lol who needs social skill when you have Charm Person/Detect Thoughts"?

1. You're spending spell slots.
2. Spells are flashy and visible even if they're still and silents.
3. They get saves, Knowledge (arcana) checks, and Spellcraft checks.
4. They feel a hostile tingle on a successful save.
Bonus: Charm Person only sets them to friendly, and you still need a Charisma check (good luck with that, wizards) to convince them to do unusual things.

For either of these builds, grab a reach weapon and combat reflexes and meme it up. Lore Warden has more out of combat utility, especially if you don't have another int-based character in the party, while Polearm Master will just shit on everything. The idea is to trip everything that wants to move. When it stands up, trip it again. Let somebody else hit the big numbers, you're job is battlefield control.

If you can get your GM to allow PoW, ask for Warder. It has everything you want in one class.

Broken blade is really only broken because certain maneuvers are available way earlier than similar ones in other disciplines. Multi attacks tend to be at 2nd and 5th, whereas BB gets them at 1st and 3rd for some reason. Similar thing with the knuckle boosts.
