really all I want to do is clip off the conduits, chords, support bars (or whatever) connecting the axe to the Magos' arms and legs because axe's are for swinging not strapping to your wrists and ankles. Step 1: Think of colours you like.
Step 2: Find some contrasting colours and some complementary colours to the ones you like.
Step 3: Buy a few shades of each colour for base/layer/highlight and some washes
Step 4: Get some test models (I use some snapfit Chaos Cultists since you can get cheap packs of 5) and try out/practice your scheme.
Step 5: Paint your army.

Also bases, but you can more or less do them as a separate process as long as they don't clash TOO horribly.

I have a question for fellow DEldar and Eldar players. An argument that recently plagued my FLGS was whether or not we want to see the different Eldar factions unite/ally into one Eldar force, like what the WFB elves did during the End Times. Apparently there are rumours of the next big thing after Cadia being Eldar vs Slaanesh, and the thinking goes that if the Eldar race did ever truly want to defeat the hold She Who Thirsts has over them, uniting would be the best chance they have (or all dying and that god of rebirth thing happens).

Where do you stand on this idea of the two (three with harlequins) factions becoming one? Not saying it will happen, but I was surprised how passionately the four other DEldar/ Eldar players where when discussing the subject.

For the record, I would rather the great city of Commorragh be lost to the warp forever than work with those Craftworld faggots, but that's just me.

Here's what I'd do.

1. Swap berserkers for Chaos Space Marines.This should save you some pts. Use the pts to get a fancy weapon on the sarge of the Chaos Space Marine.

2. Run this as a World Eaters detachment. If you're not sure what that is, find yourself a download of the Traitor Legion's book in one of the links above and read up on the World Eaters detachment. The long and short of it is that your Chaos Space Marines are now cheaper and (arguably better) Berserkers.

3. For your second CSM squad, either get double melta or double flamer. Never mix and match. I'd say get double flamer because at 750 pts any vehicle worth a damn, Kharn will chop down no problem.

I can explain that with a term I made in /hhg/: Overwolf. The Overwolf is what describes the current Space Wolves: overboard with the Wolf theme. The Dark Angels have a more apparent angelic(something they share with the Blood Angels), Catholic monk, Native American, and Hebrew themes going on. I have ~200 points to spare for my 1500 "tourney" list, only a single CAD allowed, no LoW, no fortifications

Me too. I want to use them more, but I don't know what to really do with them. Suicide squads seem the most effective, even though I want full 10 man squads doing glorious things with a captain of the squad stabbing things with a power sword. T3 4+ just isn't durable enough to do anything.

I'm not sure what to get. I was thinking of getting 2 Wyvern. I don't really care for how they look, as I absolutely love the Basilisk, but the Wyverns are so much cheaper in game and produce such good results. I hate it. The only time I could really use Basilisks is in a Emperor's Wrath formation and that's 500 points of Basilisks. Too expensive for what they can realistically do, even if they can ignore cover.

Both that and the Hell Talon bomber are servitor controlled. Shame it's out of stock, I was going to use one as a Lightning for my Xanatite Mechanicum. That's a long-term project though, so I can't be too fussed. It will come back, or other alternatives will present themselves.

Any time an Ork Player claims he wins most of his games, the reason behind it is because the people he plays against are deliberaly list tailoring to have the worst lists they can possibly bring against orks. They tone down their armies MASSIVELY just so the ork player can beat them. It's the same as when an adult is play-fighting with little kids, and the adult doesn't just suplex the kids. Except replace adult with literally any army that isn't orks, and replace the kids with ork armies.

Not my own loss, but I once made a tau player rage-quit a major tournament. He brought a list that basically consisted of JUST 3 stormsurges at 1500 points.. All grey plastic. I had 30 devastator marines, with like 12 grav-cannons.. All with Infiltrate. The tau player got tabled on turn 1, having never even gone to his side of the turn order.

He walked out of the store and I never saw him ever again. The dude was so butthurt that I wouldn't be surprised if he sold his stormsurges on ebay. I later took 4th in that tournament, having gotten my ass handed to me by a chaos space marines player on game 2, and handily stomping some ultramarines on game 3.

My favorite story is my first ever 40k game. I was playing my buddy's guard against his Necrons. My Basilisk scattered onto my own Chimera, blowing it up along with a handful of guardsmen (we played it off as the Destroyer Lord swatting the shell away like a baseball).
Though in the next turn the same Bassy one-shot his Monolith.

I've seen him lose but it depends on his army, he lost a ton of Ork games at the start but he managed to beat an eldar list and he's on a winning streak with them right now.

Never seen him lose with his 'crons I dont think.
