Pathfinder General /pfg/

What do you want to do with Starfinder? Do you want to play your kitsune spherecasters and blinkling initiators in space?

So if the damage of an attack is, say...

2d6+15, and the crit result is double damage, that means the attacker does another 2d6+15, or just another 2d6?
>>
>>50689348
The second, typically. Some things aren't multiplied on crits, like flaming weapons or sneak attack, but static damage bonuses are.
>>
>>50689348
It means you roll 2d6, add 15, then multiply the result by two.
>>
>>50689348
You deal another 2d6+15 in that case. Unless the +15 comes from precision damage, in which case it's not multiplied.

The +15 is doubled unless it's from something like an elemental weapon enhancement or precision damage.
Your GM may have you roll again for base weapon damage, or simply double your base weapon damage as it was rolled. Depends on the GM.
>>
>>50689348
That said, your damage from your ability modifier IS doubled.

Alright, I've reworked the backstory a bit based on those comments, how does this look?

Fionna Deverin
Human Warlord||Beguiler (Theurgic Brigand)

>Daughter of Kendra Deverin and childhood friend of Ameiko.
>As a young girl she was wild and unruly as a reaction to her powers manifesting, her friendship with Ameiko was probably the only thing that kept her sane during this time
>Was shipped off to boarding school run by the Magnimar Navy to "get disciplined".
>Initially spent a lot of spare time in Underbridge practicing her magic with local beguilers, but as she advanced in her schooling and matured this side of her life lost its appeal.
>Upon graduating, she joins the Magnimar city watch, but quickly becomes frustrated by the limits of what she could do as a guard.
>As she becomes more and more disillusioned she begins to return to Underbridge, feeding the beguilers intel on their competition in return for some formal training.
>Breaking point occurs one night as she witnesses a young sczarni boy (around 12 years old) pocketing a dose of pesh and follows him to an abandoned warehouse on the docks.
>Inside she finds dozens of Tian girls in chains, sex slaves waiting to go to market. The boy is offering one of the girls a hit of pesh in return for sexual favors. Fionna sees her best friend Ameiko in each and every one of the girls and goes balistic. She beats the boy nearly to death.
>She is dismissed from the city watch and returns to Sandpoint in disgrace.
>Sandpoint is full of the same kind of corruption, the same kind of people who are willing to let criminals escape for the sake of due process.
>She takes on her vigilante mantle and stalks the streets of Sandpoint at night, willing to do whatever must be done to uphold her sense of justice.

>>50689358
Alright, so the scenario in question is this.

Zweihander Sentinel is using a Greatsword (2d6) and his total damage modifier is +15.

He uses Rising Zenith Strike (With supreme focus, comes great insight into the workings of a foe's defenses. When the moment is right, the disciple releases his attack in a vicious upward swing. The disciple makes a Sense Motive check in place of his normal attack roll (he may add any enhancement bonus from his weapon or feats that apply from the use of his weapon to this Sense Motive check as well), and if this Sense Motive check equals or exceeds the target's armor class, the attack deals double damage. If this check does not meet or exceed the target's armor class, then the attack fails and the disciple misses.)

The double damage from this: Is it just another 2d6, is it 2d6+15, or what?
>>
>>50689408
And reposting the question. What's the alignments? CG/CN? NG/CG? CN/CE?

>>50689408 (continued)

>>50689212
I feel her strongest tie is to Ameiko rather than Sandpoint itself, Fionna credits her friendship as the single thing that saved her from her nascent magic. As such she wouldn't have many issues leaving her homeland to help her friend find her true destiny. Combine that with potentially running afoul of local criminals and she might happily skip town.

>>50689224
Her social alignment is likely to fall in the area of LN while her vigilante alignment would be LE.

>Starfinder
Spaceships. I want FTL to be fast enough to not be a burden, but slow enough to spend time with my crewmates between planets. I also want to engage in starship fights with one another!
I want exotic planets with themes, like 'Icy Tundra' or 'Paradise Hell' or even space station cities with corrupt police and downtrodden citizens.
I want our party wizard to divert all magic to empowering out cannons to blow past the shields of another ship to disable their engines, a shot that can only be taken by our pilot!
Planet of Zombies ruled by a necromancer that the players have to fly in, get civilians on their ships, and leave before the necromancers realize what's up!
World threatening horrors from beyond the galaxy trying to invade!

And most importantly: Drow
>>
>>50689231

> Sauce?
>>
>>50689414
I'd imagine it's most likely 2d6+15 again.
>>
>>50689420
Well what I'll say is that she seems like she'd form a good counterpoint to Lilin! Unlikely that they'll both get in, honestly, but they've got enough in common and enough different to form a rivalry.
>>
>>50689414
Yeah, things like that work the same as crits.

Also of note, if multiple multipliers apply at the same time, they're additive, not multiplicative.

Like, a x2 and a x2 is a x3, not a x4.
>>
>>50689414
Rising zenith would do 2x(2d6+15) in that case. Though, any "per hit" effect like Sneak attack, any elemental property, or bonus die from a boost/stance would not be multiplied. However, a stance that increases weapon damage size would. This is why the Primal warrior stance + zenith + RBS, Powerful build OD/ZS thing is so good. It becomes very easy to pump up Sense motive, Weapon size, and blow up two niggas at once.
>>
>>50689461
>2x(2d6+15)

As in the total damage?

Or is that in addition to the attack's damage?
>>
>>50689508
That'd be the total damage of the action.
>>
>>50689508
Depends on the group you run with. Some people double the amount you roll, some people double the amount of times you roll. Not sure what RAW states though.
>>
>>50689552
It seems by RAW, you just double the result with zeniths, though I'm pretty sure RAW says to roll damage die twice for crits. Zeniths behave a lot like a crit, but aren't actually one.
>>
>>50689457
I think that'd be a really cool dynamic, too.
>>
>>50689231
Best fighter weapons? I'm playing a flying fighter.

I want to fight otherworldly monsters, rescue alien princesses, embroil myself in the machinations of galactic politics, and maybe build a big, mechanical combat suit. And I'd like to hear some stories of excitement and misadventure from other players.

So! Here's hoping it doesn't suck.
>>
>>50689662
Basically, though like I said some people just double the amount your 2d6 adds up to, and some people make you roll 4d6. Ask the group you play with, as most groups already have their preference known.
>>
>>50689662
Sure for the sake of simplicity.

If you really care it's 2x(the result of 2d6) +30, same average, but this is where standard deviations and statistics come into play.
>>

But like>>50689763 space opera is one of the most abused terms in genre fiction. Might as well say "action-adventure" or "young adult".

The ships need NOT TO SUCK.
More importantly, they need to grow just like characters, so that they don't find themselves utterly eclipsed and left behind as an obsolete house-of-holding by characters who now fly faster, teleport further, and probably have been hitting three times as hard twelve-times-a-round-as-often (due to siege loading times) as what is actually supposed to take us across the stars.

I want magic NOT to be the be-all-end-all of all power, but I also want ships to be able to help out the blaster spells as well.

I want, at high levels, the GM to actually have reason to say "The two worlds power up their offensive satellite grids and lock massed synthetic-apperture sensor arrays upon your ship. Roll for initiative".

I want to get in my little massively-overarmed fighter in response...

And put a fucking HOLE through that Class-M.
>>
>>50689870
Nigga, that's just Sci-fi set in space.

Think of a opera or even a soap opera. What are the defining features of those? Now what would happen if you set a story with those same features, but this time, it's set in space.

That's a space opera. Nothing more, Nothing less.

I'd wait until Starfinder comes out, honestly. the weaponry and damage/HP systems in pathfinder don't lend well to science fiction; hell, it barely lends itself to fantasy.

Evidently they're going to be redoing the whole Damage/Accuracy/HP/Defenses calculation thing in Starfinder, so if you want to roll around with guns, it's probably a good idea to wait for that.

Why not use the Skybourne rules to have a crew of courtesans?

>Profession (courtesan)
>A creature trained in Profession (courtesan) can provide entertainment for a ship, similar to a creature trained in a Perform skill, as detailed in Chapter 4: Flying the Skies. A courtesan or performer can receive aid from only one creature at a time, but can receive aid from an entire crew when determining how many people they can entertain.

A courtesan, with the crew's help, can entertain the whole crew. This seems fit for a hentai doujin. It gets weirder.

>Entertainer Training: The crew is trained in either a Perform skill or Profession (courtesan), and may increase the number of people an officer may provide loyalty bonuses for to up to 10 small crews per small crew with this perk. In addition, they may perform any of the following crew actions as a standard action. When a Perform or Profession (courtesan) check is required, they may use their Skill bonus, or the bonus of the officer who leads them, whichever is higher. A crew must possess instruments or entertainer’s outfits to use these crew actions.

The whole crew can be trained in Profession (courtesan) and given "entertainer's outfits" in order to boost the crew's morale.

The three actions listed here are "intimidate," "inspire," and "distract." The latter two are self-explanatory, but the first...

>Intimidate: As a standard action, the crew insults and threatens their enemies, using their performance to create a sense of doom in their enemies. This is the same thing as an Intimidate check made to demoralize all targets within 30 ft., but the crew makes a Perform or Profession (courtesan) check instead of an Intimidate check.

You can have an entire crew trained in Profession (courtesan) and dressed up in "entertainer's outfits," and they can "create a sense of doom in their enemies" using Profession (courtesan).

Even the cabin boy/girl gets to be a courtesan with an outfit.

Only in Skybourne.

>Cabin Boy/Girl
>Important Skills: Profession (servant)
>A cabin boy/girl is usually a youth learning the ropes of ship command, but may just as likely be a professional valet, or indeed anyone trained to accomplish the hundreds of mundane tasks that helps a ship run smoothly, from polishing the captain’s boots, to keeping the carpenter’s tools in great repair, to delivering messages as needed throughout the ship.

>As an overland standard action, the cabin boy/girl may use their Profession (servant) skill to aid all creatures aboard their ship. Many large ships will even have dedicated crews of of assistants, who the cabin boy/girl can lead in a crisis.

>Profession (servant)
>Whenever an ally attempts a skill check where others could use the aid another action to help them, a character trained in Profession (servant) may make a Profession (servant) check in place of whatever skill would normally be necessary. This grants a circumstance bonus to the character attempting the skill check equal to the Profession (servant) check divided by 10 (+1 for a roll of 10 or higher, +2 for a roll of 20 or higher, +3 for a roll of 30 or higher, etc.). Only one creature may attempt a Profession (servant) check to aid another in this fashion, but up to an entire crew can use aid another to help a creature with this Profession (servant) check.

>As an overland move action, a character may make a Profession (servant) check to aid all creatures on the ship for that day.

The ship's cabin boy/girl can use a move and a standard action to aid the entire crew, which includes the ship entertainer's Profession (courtesan) check and the rest of the crew's check to aid that Profession (courtesan) check.

The ship's young cabin boy/girl is hard at work all day. They innocently (despite being in an "entertainer's outfit" like the crew) help people with refreshments and clean-up in the background, while the crew works their Profession (courtesan) skill in the foreground.

I actually want to make a setting that's just this utterly titanic colony ship on its way to settle a planet off in the super-distant future, beyond the current lifespans of any characters on it.

So it's got a huge amount of cityscape, glass-like bubbles, is shaped like a giant train of indeterminant length so as the DM you can add in districts whever you like. Unlike a cyberpunk city setting, these would be meticulously clean and well-maintained, as well as having beautiful parks and such, because the civilization cannot afford to degrade by even an inch a year to last for the length of the trip. Virtual reality and flight tech everywhere, everything is tech powered but gardens and plant life try to brighten the mood, everyone has alotted space and technological luxury is widespread. Finding specific people is in itself a quest of heroic scale beyond even what it'd be like doing that in present day Beijing. Conflict is interpersonal and needs to be super well-hidden because the reach of law enforcement needs to be excessive if anyone expects the ship to reach endpoint. VR is so extensive that the internet is basically a real place with actual serious politics and rulers. Utopian but overwhelming and full of mysteries.

I had a dream I was lost in this setting, that's why.

It's 1,000 km long, and probably the only remaining center of human civilization in the universe after the protagonists stop the universal reset.
>>
I want to prevent metagaming during NPC conversations. What's the easiest to manage way to turn a d20 roll where high = good and low = bad into a roll where the player won't immediately know if they did well or not.

Should I even bother?
>>
>>50690444
If we can avoid the 'time to drop an anvil of military exposition' and 'time to watch bland, irrelevant, characterless maids fight robot suits in an irrelevant fight scene' and 'boohoo my tits got cut off because my family needed a boy' sections that stopped me from getting past like the second or third episode.
>>
>>50690728
Use the roll as the reaction (adjusting a little if near thresholds for the words, thus applying the circumstantial bonuses of a really good or really rapey speech).

Like, let them talk and say what they have to say. If their total is 11 and they'd have needed a 30, their words were as empty as their souls. But if it's a really good speech, and they got a 28, that might be enough to tip the scales (a +2)...

Likewise, when the girl he's comforting is broken and vulnerable, he'd have to actually SAY "giggity" aloud a few times to screw it up.
>AAAAaaand he did.
>>
>>50690692
>What this?
>Well you wear wolf right?
>I slay wolf, wear its skin as prize and to stay warm
>Well he killed a lightning giant made of stone

Yeah I can see how that might actually seem reasonable. Some people wear dragonskin armor, others wear transformers to battle.

I want the game to be conducive to episodic play instances, where every session the party can land on a new planet. This either means an enormous library of premade planets in the setting or more feasibly some really robust and interesting ways to generate unique interesting places.

Last space game I played, my DM did just that but had to make up a new planet on his own each time, which was challenging for him. Our captain was female Kirk and the running gag was that after boning each planet's primary alien twink, the male of the species was by the most improbable string of coincidences always the one left impregnated by her (either naturally to the species or due to the unique interaction of a human messing with the alien) so she could keep on going.
>>
>>50690710

>>
>>50690710

>playing Xenosaga past 1

>>
>>50690738
In Pathfinder, that's pretty much session 0 aka, when the DM talks about the setting and the players share their backstory.
>>
>>50690770
Odd; last space game I played our ship had a life-force converter the captain could use to directly transform (a rather hefty amount) of his health into numerical bonuses to the ship (like take 3d8 damage to give a +3 to the next roll).

We'd chosen it out of having nothing else to fill that system slot with and thinking "maybe we'll get a +1 once in a while"...

The guy didn't just take it in stride. He went full "shatner on the mount", maximum. Hammy Kirk.... Sentences! as he seduced bonuses into the ship until he was left exhausted and near death with every single fight or hazard encounter.

>TAKE IT! I... GIVE YOU MY MOST! POWER. HNNNNGH!
>>
>>50690805
See, the actual exposition I don't mind.

But if the DM takes time out to talk about how his totally awesome psychic battlemaid NPCs are fighting these guys in robotsuits, and about his DMPC's tragic backstory, then I'm going to get annoyed.
>>
>>50690826
lets be fair, even in Horizon, while the plot is moving forward through exposition, the rest of the cast aka the players are just dicking around in the background doing random shit, waiting for the next combat to start.

So is the Hekatonkheires archetype supposed to be a Diclonius?
>>
Speaking of Starfinder, I was hoping to DM a space opera game based off a novel I'm working on.

Its about a space cadet who gets his ship hijacked by a rebel ship and then he inadvertently becomes the rebel group's leader in time because he's been saving their asses with his really good analytical and strategic know-how.

The cadet is a huge fan of Sun Tzu's art of war and has recreated several notable tales from the book such as destroying an entire pirate armada by exploiting the gravitational 'vacuum' caused by light speed travel to drag a 'river of asteroids' behind him, as well as feinting a trap by broadcasting his obviously large warship to ping as a merchant ship to scare off a rival army fleet.
>>
>>50690834
I like how the plot sometimes go out of its way to give the players their waifus.
>>
>>50690857
No, they're meant to be Hekatonkheires.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hecatoncheires

They were a trio of hundred-armed (And fifty headed) giants from greek myth.
>>
>>50690893
Warning: It sounds like you plan to have a 'main character' you've already written, in the game.

That is extremely bad for RPGs where *several other people* are going to be playing their own characters and have input.

It's best to keep said 'character' entirely unrelated and in fact not even in the game; let the campaign help flesh out the setting (hell given how some players are maybe the PCs will form that 'evil empire' for you to rebel against few centuries from now)
>>
>>50690893
What you'll want to do is use the SETTING, NOT any of the significant events.

Players don't give a heck about what you think is SUPPOSED to happen, use the game as an avenue to help develop the world. A novel and a TTRPG story are VERY different beasts, and trying to cram one into another does not work.
>>
>>50690919
nah, I'm just gonna use the setting.

Basically, a bunch of planets want independence from a united galactic federation because they've been getting the short end of the stick for trade deals. But these planets are also held hostage by the fact that by declaring separation, they will immediately become targets to 3rd parties who will fuck over them over now that they're vulnerable because they don't have the federation's protection ships (which though powerful, is also corrupt.) as well as from pirates and smugglers.

The plot is that the players are liberation forces hoping to band together with other planets seeking independence to become a strong military force that can rival the federation as well as against pirates and smugglers.

There'll be politics involved, but they won't be stuck in some congressional hearing. The politics will play out based on their victories and losses as well as their allegiances and enemies.
>>
>>50690916
Yeah. They're still diclonius tho '
>>
>>50690965
Also, its not black and white.

Some planets might not be worth allying with because they're just as grossly evil or may just be a liability to the new alliance.

Pirates could be potential allies as they could help the liberation either for promise of profit or safe harbor, etc.

But then you have to mind the PR involved as well. Openly siding with pirates will set the party back, as is committing war crimes.

There's always hope but they've been closed selected-people playtests with NDAs, with the declaration that open playtests were a mess in pathfinder.

We have to worry about backwards compatibility with pathfinder (the more there is the worse for starfinder), scaling issues with ships (if they're "siege weapons" they'll never keep up with characters), the standard "haves vs martials" of pathfinder, heavy-handed social justice lessons inducing inequalities, and whether or not the combat system even works......

The races displayed were nothing special either.

The important thing to having a dynamic, compelling character is not being sure where he is going to develop. Write in someplace to go. Old habits to lose, new ones to make, a moral fiber that may change.

If you write up too much personality, he's too complex to understand all at once and people will not discuss him at all. If you want a cheap way to get discussed for attention, just make him hypersexual.

I was looking for ways to run an evil healer/cleric type. The biggest hurdle was channeling negative energy. I was thinking of worshiping an Infernal Duke called Jiraviddain. I'm trying to play a really fucking angry initiator.
How should I go about that?
Primal Disciple seems like a shit archetype since it essentially leaves you with Rage + Maneuvers for class features.
Fighter with Myrmidon and Viking seems strictly worse than if I just didn't take Viking.
I can't think of anything else that even gets Rage. I could go Myrmidon Fighter VMC Barbarian, though... Would that be alright?
I'm essentially looking to play a character that can boost it's STR really, really high. Maybe Rage isn't even the right way to do it?
Myrmidon seems to stack with Mutation Warrior which coupled with VMC Barbarian gives me a big STR boosting potential. Would that actually be good, though?

And while Warder is fully capable of shitting out a bunch of damage, it's focus on defending others and area control isn't exactly fitting, I think. If anything, Brutal Slayer Stalker would be a better full-initiator for this concept. But that one's too esoteric with it's arts and ki pool.
I'm basically looking to be Guts.

It's a delicate exercise for sure, especially as I'm still in the primordial stages of character generation where he could go hither or tither with his traits, classes or even backstory. Heck, the only trait I know for sure is "For the Money" and him being a wealth-minded person (I'm thinking he was a Sargavan merchant's bodyguard, masquerading as an ignorant native to be around all those important meetings before an Aspis Agent saw through the ruse and offered wealth n' such in exchange for his information.)

God dammit, this is why I'm such a procrastinator with character creation, I get the spark for a concept but then I need to find a spark for the rest.

Indeed, though I'd argue the way to offer true freedom for a Divine class is by taking the Eberron approach, where faith is the tool used for divine power and the gods are ambiguous.

It offers all the advantages of a standard fantasy setting while opening the door to even more concepts ranging from the deranged fanatic to the Joan of Arc.

Not for me honestly, I'm not a huge fan of how most settings handle religion. And I feel "durr it's all faith based, not god based" kinda defeats the point too.

I'd rather "divine" magic not be a whole power source and class group but something similar to Deific obedience. Unique to each god.

The problem with clerics (and paladins, etc) is that their core concept is "servant of".

But, unlike a regular proper person to work/bounce/build off of, it's an untouchable entity. A king could order you beheaded, or have you stripped of your titles, but you can still argue, you can still convince, you can still even betray or leave them to their fate.

You can't do that with a god. It literally can just instantaneously and permanently depower you and worse. They're not something your character can plot against, or 'work' with a silver tongue, or form any meaningful rapport with.

You're one half of a two-man show... and your partner's forever a no-show.

As for the latter bit...

Yeah, and while a Paladin of the Silver Flame or Priestess of the Blood of Vol might ultimately get the same "kind" of power, the origins of their faith and how it has shaped their lives is easily more important.

Heck, weren't the Paladins of the Silver Flame responsible for genocide? Literal, divinely-powered genocide? You can't get that with most deities deigned as "good."

I'd argue the precise opposite, or at least for a less involved god. The ideal kind of cleric for me is Thulsa Doom. The god he praises is secondary to his character; All he does is his own choice, and he's merely paying tribute to a god to borrow power.

Gods being personally involved in the life of every single cleric is absurd. Don't they have anything better to do than be draconian fuckers?

Alchemist has been fun here and there, but it's awful that you can't heal anyone else at level 1 nor get the raise deads rolling when the party needs them. She's a former surgeon from Ustalav who survived a deadly plague that swept through the area, but in the process lost her husband, the use of a leg while gaining the ability to "hear people" and cast divine healing magic. Not really, you're going to be really struggling for most of the campaign.

No.

Lotsa boar, though!

"It just fucking works" is how people usually fluff it. Pretty sure one guy's origin basically amounts to "a magic sword did it".
>>
>>50695187

They gotta live 100 years or feast on a hundred souls slain on the battlefield.
>>
>>50695207
>Well hey! maybe Awinita and Mr. Foxglove might be hunting partners!

She might, she just might!

Sounds kind of Robert Baratheon-esque, dontcha think? Big fat person going out, hunting boar and loving it. Now you just gotta make her a drunk and hopeless lecher.
>>
>>50695250
> kind of Robert Baratheon-esque

she's already got 20 gallons of Applejack on her person at all times. I think she likes her spirits. As for her being a lecher... We'll see. She's mostly interested in increasing the strength of her tribe. The tribe in which she's the only member.
>>
>>50695128
Pretty sure that was sarcasm, anon.

does this mean that his sword is some bizarro, intelligent Tyrfing-esque deal, which decided to just funnel souls into some dumb animal for shits and giggles?
>>
>>50695324

It's not uncommon for swords in Japanese folklore to acquire souls and a cruel sort of sentience after absorbing the souls of those it slays on the battlefield.
>>
>>50695307

She doesn't need to actually "birth" the tribe, that's terribly inefficient. Sure, she should be having kids, but her bigger interest should be inducting outsiders into the tribe and having them follow her people's customs and traditions.

And *then* you encourage *those* people to fuck.

So I am someone to take lots of notes when I play, this ranges on a lot of things.

For story the notes include:
>names of people (with spelling & pronunciation)
>plot notes
>important locations/shops/etc.
>places we've been

For mechanical stuff:
>detailed inventory
>detailed loot

Now the last one is where I run into a problem. I personally want to grab and record everything we get. Swords, armor, clothing, personal effects, etc. I have never found a GM who takes kindly to this practice, and I can sympathize why. It forces them to populate the inventories of everything. Any suggestions to fix this besides "just stop taking notes".

Often I sell off what ever I don't want. I have suggested before using random generators for personal belongs (which I have done while GMing in the past).
>>
>>50695400
She then proceeds to induct the entierty of Minkai into her tribe.
>>
>>50695345
Yea, Japan's got some pretty crazy shit. It's kind of edgy, but it would be an amusing origin for a hero.
>>
>>50694918

>Any suggestions to fix this besides "just stop taking notes".

DM doesn't want to make up valuable baubles? Make them up yourself!

>>50695426

You don't even have to be that ambitious! Minkai is roughly twice the size of Taldor with plenty of land and opportunities for her to find a giant slice of land to reform her tribe.

Who knows, she might choose a better path, one that leads her to Wanshou (the former top rice-producing region of Imperial Lung Wa) and feast on the Kraken overlord that has flooded the country and force her people into terror.

Not only will she consume the greatest challenge of all, but she will secure herself as the heroine of the biggest food-producing region of Tian Xia and potentially add them to her tribe!
>>
>>50695487
>DM doesn't want to make up valuable baubles? Make them up yourself!
This seems like it could work if I work out with the GM how much money in goods the people have. Once I have that amount I populate the inventory with stuff.

Yeah but who is going to make a new one?
>>
>>50695897

No no, I'm not saying Molthune as a concept, but like, Molthune as a *place.*

What do we know about their cities? Landmarks? Famous people?

Like, we know Druma is the Land of Happy Merchants, but did you know the capital city of Kerse is so wealthy the bricks are flecked with gems, and every house is a manor unto itself? Have you heard about the Mercenary League, also known as the "Blackjackets", a zealous order of sellsword policemen who believe fully in following the Prophets of Kalistrade?

We need to actually open up the kingdoms, go beyond the broad strokes, and identify fascinating new places, people or things that could be used to enrich your backstories.

Is there anything you could do to combat these things without changing it from huge? We have a large character in my current game, and they don't seem to run into many problems (so far at least).

If the area in which they lived was very much open with little settlement happening (and any indoor areas being large caves or constructions), would it be more feasible?

Molthune = Prussians
Nirmathas = More fluffy bunnies
Brevoy = amend to (also russia)
