Hexcrawl-style game in a Bronze Age, post-collapse world. Player driven: there's a region to explore, loot, and conquer with a plethora of factions and independent actors in it, but the party is free to make what they want of it. Typically get rich quick or die trying.

Books provided, prior knowledge of the system not necessary (all the player so far are new, they're doing fiiiine). This is more or less an open table game, so if you want to roll a guy, try it out, and bail, nobody will try to find out where you live.

Okay? Your story is nice, but doesn't explain what's wrong with having characters you want to play. Many GMs have characters that they want to play, but aren't players, so they keep them in a file.
