If the the Jump in question was reduced to a weaker version from the drawback (for example, Naruto in a modern day setting), would the options you buy weaken at all?

Sorry of I'm annoying anyone with these questions, still new.
>>
>>50613723
It's no problem. Keep in mind this is a house rule, not a hard rule, so you'll get different takes on this. My advice to you is this: if it plays with the power setting / threat level of the jump in a significant manner, then I wouldn't fiddle with it. If it's just aesthetic or plays with interpersonal relationships and dynamics its pretty safe.
>>
>>50613723
I think that depends on how much it weakens it. Like, if you're doing a Highschool AU fanfic where no one has powers, then yeah, I think your purchased stuff should suffer for it. You're pretty much not even jumping Naruto at that point, it would take some weird logic to justify giving you Naruto powers at that point. But if it's just a little weaker than canon, I don't see much issue with that.

Well, yeah, I've totally put mind control curses on people before. They're super useful. If it makes you feel better, though, I don't go for the free will-defying brainwashed sort of mind control. I go for the sort of mind control that makes you question whether free will existed in the first place. A lot of subtle changes to how the brain processes information.

I like Pokemon make great early Companions. Especially a number of the smarter ones. I took a full group of six with me in my original chain, but when I reset I didn't take Pokeglot. So I left them behind. I didn't want to surprise them with the whole interdimensional travel business and I couldn't be sure how much they understood without sharing their language.

Probably because it would turn into "I second trigger and am now omnipotent."
>>
>>50614302
Because nobody cares about your feigned indignation.
>>
>>50614302
Because then I have to think of what kind of upgrade each of the powers would get, which is a pain due to how second triggers work. Because second triggering isn't a shonen upgrade and fucks you up mentally really bad, and because doing it that way means I can focus on the powers as standalone things.

tl;dr Second triggering is nothing but a hassle.

I can't say anything for the BBS things (which seem more like they'd be companions)... but Infernals will have demons descended from you not count as companions, since they're still sorta part of you.

Unless you decide you want to import them somewhere as a companion , in which case they become subject to all their rules and restrictions.

This would go for all three Circles of demons. Though you'd need some way of taking your 1st Circles along (like an internal world), since they're not that closely connected to you.

Also, 1st Circles who become distinct enough to become Citizens would also fall under Companion rules. Since at that point, they're their own person. uh, their own demon. whatever.

Out of curiosity, how much of your powerset do Akuma you create with the perk have access to? Can you control how much they can use, or is it all or nothing?

>>50614778
They /can/ access all of it, but would need to learn everything you don't start them off with from scratch (assuming you don't teach them).

Basically, all your powers would be considered their "Charmset" and they'd be able to learn bits of it like Akuma learn bits of Yozi stuff as Charms.

They tend to just use whatever you allow them. Unless you gave them an Urge they could accomplish /much/ better if only they accessed another of your powers, you can assume they'll stick with that.

Also, it's not like they have a list of everything you can do. They might just not consider that they might be able to get... laser-eyes or whatever you don't want them to get.

Those with more restrictive Urges, like say: "Obey the Jumper." would of course only ever use what you allow/command them to use.

About as smart as you have to be to make a deal with a literal demon after you fucked something up.

I'm starting my first jump and I'm having a weirdly hard time deciding which Pokémons to get. My start is probably going to be Bulbasaur, then I have Mareep, Ho-Oh, Lapras, Phanpy, and Mega Alakazam.

Which still leaves me with one spot open at the end of the jump. Any suggestions?

Yes. You can have pretty much any kind of magic system you want as long as it fits within the context of some sort of fantasy setting. You could have Vancian magic, weeaboo fightan magic, a magic system that relies entirely on creating magical items, whatever.
>>
>>50615175
Yugo has also demonstrated the ability to make laser beams out of portals by placing a portal within another portal, as well as very fast transit by throwing portals so fast he becomes a laser beam. Oh, and he also makes a sword and shield out of solid laser beams (or whatever the stuff portals are made of anyways), which implies full on freeform hard-light construct generation eventually since Quilby made a laser beam arm for himself as well.

>About as smart as you have to be to make a deal with a literal demon after you fucked something up.
>Or as smart as you have to be to make a deal with a walking corpse when you're on the brink of death.
Now see, these aren't comparable. Being an Abyssal kinda sucks sometimes, sure, but being an Infernal, at least? It's not a bad deal. Your bosses keep you on a long leash since part of your purpose is to innovate and plot on your own to get them out, and you're a big swinging dick in Hell since all the demons have to respect you. Even Third Circles can't instantly vaporize you without permission and you can call them out for being retarded, even if you do have to obey their orders at the end.
>>
>>50614609
We are seeing delicious Quincy tech in GHQ, tech you gave us access to.

This is the best timeline
>>
>>50615418
Except for the part where the Yozi fully intend to backstab you, turn you into them, once it's all said and done.

Also when make the initial deal you have no way of knowing any of this, not that they give you that much freedom, and not that they'll stab you in the back. Just that you are making a deal with an actual Demon, in exchange for servitude.
>>
>>50615283
Wait Wait Wait. Aaaannnyyy? Could I have a world based on the Belgariad and a magic system that's basically the Will and the Word?
>>
>>50615492
Yeah sure, I'm just saying, it's not like being an Akuma. Even Abyssals, with their really annoying limit equivalent, are given way more freedom and free will than an Akuma and both of them get a lot more respect. As an Akuma, you are a slave at best and a tool at worst, as an Abyssal or Infernal you are treated as a slave at worst, but more often you're treated like a valuable servant, but at your best you're a rebellious free agent rubbing your balls in your former master's face. Can't do that as an Akuma, you're fucked for good and are essentially a hollowed out meat puppet.
>>

I mean... The alternative is being dead.

There's not that much of a choice.

>About as smart as you have to be to make a deal with a literal demon after you fucked something up.
So? Demons are not Always Chaotic Evil in Exalted.

Akuma willing have to give up their free will. It's a bit worse than the deal that Infernals get.

>>50615492
...What? Okay, they're /probably/ going to backstab you at some point. One of them's the Ebon Dragon, after all.

Except you don't know that when you accept the deal, and if the Demons tells you you should assume they are lying, because they are a fucking demon.

Potential Akuma know about as much about what they are getting themselves into as potential Abyssals or Infernals.

>>50615581
>The alternative is being dead.
Be dead, or swear servitude to omnicidal dead gods.

>Demons are not Always Chaotic Evil in Exalted.
True, but most people don't know that, not even most potential Akuma/Infernal know that.

It's a worse deal yes, but from the perspective of the one accepting the deal, with their lack of knowledge, it likely doesn't sound much worse than Infernal.

>But they can't turn you into one of them.
Pretty sure there's a charm set for each Yozi that turns you into a copy of one of them
TLDR:Akuma is worse than Infernal and Abyssal, but Yozi take advantage of desperate, stupid, or ignorant people and don't tell them the full consequences of their choice before they make it.

Time for a build!

Restarted Chain
Jump 13 - Is It Wrong To Try To Pick Up Girls In A Dungeon?

Raven: At least that's finally over.
Jumper: Look, I told you I was sorry for indulging too much.
Wakana: We were just worried. You weren't acting like yourself.
J: Yeah I know. I don't know what got into me.
R: Well, regardless, I want a turn at the head.
J: ...What?
R: I want to have a turn being the Jumper.
J: I don't think we can do that.
> “Oh no, we can totally do that.”
J: Really?
> “Yeah, really. This I've got to see.”
J: Well, okay then. Raven, congratulations. You're the Jumper for this next one. Where do you want to go?
R: Somewhere with magic, monsters, maces...
Lina: Oh my?
R: Very funny.
> “Here's a list with some settings that fit the bill and some basic information. Let me know what peaks your interest.”
R: What's this one? Danjon Ni... Why is the title in Japanese?
> “Some of them just are. It happens. But it's a pretty interesting universe. Gods oversee adventuring guilds, granting powers and enabling those who work for them to gain incredible powers.”
R: That sounds promising.
> “There's a huge dungeon in the middle of town absolutely filled with monsters of all kinds.”
R: I'm in, let's do this.

Location: Home (Free Choice/Rolled)

>Be dead, or swear servitude to omnicidal dead gods.
...I'd pick the second. It's not like the next one who gets the offer would refuse. Creation is /not/ an idealistic world.

>True, but most people don't know that, not even most potential Akuma/Infernal know that.
True.

They generally don't.

They only know it's some weird alien creature, who's telling them it can help them. Probably some kind of spirit.

They understand that they just got kicked in the nuts by destiny, generally relating directly to their lack of power, and that they're getting offered power and a second chance. That's very tempting, even for a saint.

Whereas Akuma actually have to offer their body, mind, and soul to be used by the Yozi. Willingly. It's... quite a leap from one to the other.

>Pretty sure there's a charm set for each Yozi that turns you into a copy of one of them
Sure. But they can't force you to take those Charms and it's not like you automatically get them.

Besides, they're planning on having the Infernals die of old age at 150 years anyway. It's not even a possibility the considered.

But yes, they try to go for desperate/stupid/ignorant people when they can't find crazy monsters. Not that they always succeed at that either.

Yorokonde, Adventurer, Age 24, Half-Elf
+ Hephaestus Weapon - Battleaxe
+ Gotta Catch Them All
+ Dungeon Knowledge
+ Magic - Chain Lightning - Fast Chant

J: I don't want to pick Magic though. I was hoping to be a Warrior.
R: We have a reputation to uphold, so it's not debatable.

Wakana, Adventurer, Age 23, Amazon
+ Magic - Invisibility - Fast Chant

R: Invisibility, as a giant woman with a huge club?
W: Subtlety /and/ Strength darling.

Yamato, Adventurer, Age 22, Werewolf

+ Magic - Elemental Shield - Fast Chant
+ Daidaros Street-Wise

R: I was expecting more necromancy, Yamato.
Y: Wakana told me to di... divest...
W: Diversify.
Y: That's the word.

Major Lina, Support, Age 18, Undine
+ Valis
+ The View From The Back
+ Master Looter
+ Strong Back
+ Magic - Magic Portal - Long Chant

R: You're all right with a support role?
L: There's no shame in doing your best work from behind.
Y: PHRASING!
W: Please, no more dear.

Pine, Support, Age 20, Elf
+ Master Craftsman - Blacksmith
+ A Fine Establishment - Armory Store, "The Iron Maiden"

R: Wait, who are you?
>"You're starting a Guild. Did you think I was going to leave you short handed?"
Pine: Technically, I'm your landlord, but let's not quibble over details.

Mico, Adventurer, Age 23, Cat Person
+ Magic - Haste - Mid Chant
+ Hephaestus Weapon [x2] - Dual Katars

R: I'm... very much okay with this.

Shorty, Adventurer, Age ??, Pallum
+Magic - Mirror Image - Fast Chant
+ Level Up [x2] - Level 3

R: Really, your name is Shorty?
S: Yeah. Got a Problem with that?
R: No, no. Not at all.
S: 's what I thought!

Ebby is stupid and didn't learn the lesson Autochton and the Incarnae did with the Solars. They too expected them to never get beyond Essence 5. On Ebby's end, he thinks that the shorter lifespan will keep them from achieving Essence 6 and up, because while a Solar or Lunar has plenty of extra time to break that ceiling, an Infernal would have to be on the ball and really dedicate themselves to training, since the difference between their lifespan and when they can move up to 6 aren't very great. Plus many might not know about how essence levels really work.

Okuda, Support, Age 20, Hume Bunnie
+ Excelia [x3] - C-Rank Strength, Defense, Utility
+ Master Craftsman - Alchemist

R: Five Adventurers and three Support seems like a pretty uneven mix.
Okuda: Hey! Fuck you lady! I'm better than half the Adventurer's you'll find in the dungeon!
R: ... I like this one. She's got spunk.

>"Interesting... very interesting. Similar to Yorokonde but with a different vein of thought."
R: Thank you?
>"Now then, just to be clear, you're to follow the same restrictions I normally place on him. Make sure to entertain me or you'll get send home. Die along the way and you'll get send home."
R: O-Okay. I'll do my best.
>"Oh, and don't think you're going to get to avoid monsters forever. With those Drawbacks, if you don't go looking for them, you're going to come looking for you."
R: But... you said Gods aren't normally allowed in Dungeons.
>"They aren't. There are some... Mmm... interesting consequences if you try to flex your powers in there. Now, be a good meat puppet and start the show."

Okay, so I may have went a little overboard with the write-up on this one. I hit ten pages before I even realized what had happened and had to add two more just to wrap it up, which is why you'll notice a sharp difference near the end as I start writing in a less descriptive fashion.

Hope you all enjoy.

Basically, the Infernal exaltation has been deliberately set to burn out far sooner than usual for Exalts.

As far as the Yozi are concerned, this is a good thing. Don't want their servants to become too powerful.

But if you go up in Essence past 5, your lifespan actually increases, because Primordial Powah.

So, no. You don't have to worry about it, unless you don't raise your Essence despite all your Charms working off that.

And out-of-jump anti-aging perks would still leave you unaffected by it.

Unless you plan to drop Bulbasaur in the end, that's six.

Changed Magical Library to something more specific and convenient (I realized that it was way too vague) and added some notes.

tl;dr you're roughly level 6 after mastering a typical fantasy setting's magic and in order to grow in level you have to go to other realities and master theirs, with each subsequent level of power requiring more standard fantasy worlds than the last. It takes roughly 200 years to get to Sage's level with a normal Magician Hero's protagonist-level growth rate and it can take 1,500+ years to go from level 8 to level 10. Each level takes much longer than the last; the difference between level 9 and level 10 is roughly equal to the difference between level 5 and level 9. So there's a huge gap between the plebs and the ridiculous level 10 Heroes.

Okay, the idea of companions choosing as a jumper is really something I should have thought of. Because ability to give people the back moon runes for stats only belongs to god origin, but I didn't want to be a god and you usually can't import a companion as one

>>
>>50616355
>you usually can't import a companion as one

Isn't that not the case for this jump though? That a Companion CAN choose to be a God depending on the Companion option you take?

Or is this another case of "if it isn't mentioned it isn't possible"?
>>
>>50616355
Honestly, the whole idea is a pretty big house-rule driven by story purposes. I dreamed up this whole "Jumper as a Companion" arc way before I decided this Jump would fit Raven's personal interests. It had very little to do with the back moon runes, but I will admit it's a nice side benefit.

Nano Repair System [100sp] – While Life Tanks do a wonderful job of repairing the armor and the wearer, it can be a little annoying to constantly have to maintain and clean up after a long battle. Wear and tear has an annoying habit of ruining that particular look you want to go for. Luckily, this ‘dumb’ nanomachine system has you covered. Whenever your armor is chipped or physically damaged, or even if the paint is scratched somehow, this sub-system will work to both clean and maintain your power armor. This means that you won’t have to actually do the hygienical work or constantly keep your armor maintained yourself. That said, this isn’t programmed for battlefield use, and won’t really speed up your healing ability or Life Tank use in any fashion – good for looking nice and keeping the armor together for those who can’t be bothered to do it manually.

Power Insulation System [100sp] – Despite the fact Power Armor can operate independently for hours at a time, it runs similar risks to shorting out or being overloaded like any sort of electronic device. This is especially problematic if it short circuits and can’t be used right in the middle of a battle. That’s what this is for. The suit will insulate any extra, outside energy from reaching its subsystems, and while it will still be damaged by loose electrical currents, it will not suffer from any structural or systemic malfunctions from the current. In addition, your subsystems are incredibly resilient against hacking or other damage, and will reboot in mere seconds if compromised in any way. This can still leave you vulnerable in a tight spot, but it will be for minutes or seconds instead of hours of debug work.
>>
>>50616629
Well, then I guess it's good for spawning weak minions (compared to you), but unless you're facing something really strong at the end of the Jump, it doesn't seems to be any incentive to spawn strong demons pre-spark.

Gravity [200sp] – Deep underneath the ocean? On a planet with an extremely strong gravitational pull? Otherwise at risk of being crushed by an enormous amount of pressure? Not to worry! This suit upgrade creates an isolated gravitational field around the user, which reduces the effects of both kinetic force and outside pressure. In short, you can walk through water just as easily and fluidly as you could on the surface, and planets with absurdly powerful or weak gravity will have no effect on you. In short, the effects of pressure and force have a mitigated or nonexistent effect on the user of the Power Armor. This also lets you adjust the personal ‘gravity’ of the suit as well, as long as SOME form of gravity exists near them. As a bonus, damage from ‘impact’ based weapons or things relying on kinetic force do less damage to the user.

Reactive Protection System [200sp] – What your home world would call ‘modern’ weaponry can do surprisingly little to Power Armor, but still, many common weapons and dangers in this galaxy can burn through its protection with terrifying effectiveness, and burning through Life Tanks is both physically and logistically painful. This system lets your subsystems focus primarily on the defensive and protective aspects of your armor, reinforcing it seconds before impact from a weapon or attack, reducing its effectiveness greatly. This is automatic, however, it is limited by the computation speed of your subsystems – an undetected attack or something too quick for it to react to will strike normally. While this significantly mitigates damage, powerful or fast enough attacks ultimately won’t be bothered very much by it, so do be careful.
>>
>>50616811
Well, even in jump seems a bit of a waste. If you're a demon lord and you're going on the evil guy route, you're going to get defeated and them killed. If you're not, it seems a waste to have them around with you weakened instead of going for directly for the boss because you're weakened.

You can safely assume that all armor upgrades in the same category - defensive, weapons, visor, etc. - all compliment each other in different ways in a logical manner that makes sense.

Hazard Shield [200sp] – An extremely necessary part of Space Pirate Technology for surviving on their home world. This self-sustaining energy field manifests itself immediately on close contact with dangerous environmental hazards – radiation, toxic waste or poison, acid rain, Phazon – without any input from the user, isolating them completely and safely from risks associated from close contact with the armor. While this includes some weaponry, strong enough ‘charges’ from these hazardous wastes can still damage you and the armor, though as a small mercy, the shield will still block any poisonous or long-term effects...acid loses its potency in mere seconds, unwelcome radiation fails to effect your systems or body, and so forth.

So stupid question for the Generic Cult Builder. Would people just want to start in the modern era or have a roll table to choose your starting time period?

Hey, Cool Cats Don't Trip, how does the My Hero capstone compare to the other Capstones in Adventure Time? The Scientist and Wizard capstones are pretty potent, so how strong is the Reputation you gain from My Hero? How strong is the Fear I inflict, and how much Admiration do I derive from its use? Could I effectively walk into other peoples Homes and take their things a la Legend of Zelda, with the residents giving me the go ahead because they are so dazzled by me? Would actual, non-Adventure Time Dragons who have lived for hundreds of years, quake in fear and hesitate with my every attack? When does this effect kick in? It specifies presence, so does this mean that others don't admire or fear me until I'm right there in front of them? Does it linger to any degree after I interact with them?

Yes and no. What you're doing is breaking off some of your own soul and then fashioning it into a smaller subservient one. It's nowhere near as large or strong as yours. Your own soul will gradually recover over time based on how much of it you spent to create the new Demon. So the soul of your creation is a fully functional soul but it's smaller and weaker than your own proportional to how much of yourself you put into it. It could be as strong as another soul if your own soul is very large or powerful, though. But no matter what it will be distinguishable from a normal soul to anybody who can sense such things due to its origin.

>>50617535

Tell you what, I'll figure out a choice option for how long you spend there. But it's not going to be a "drawback" because that feels like giving someone a freebie under the guise of a problem.

If we believe the ancient myths and that modern woman about her Mightyena boyfriend that sort of shit is canon anyway. I'm just glad Mimikyu didn't decide it wanted to be a waifumon, that'd be awkward.

About the Supernatural jump: I've seen some of the show and I get how OP angels are in comparison to everything else. However, Pagan God just sounds like too damn much fun. So how do you Pagan God Supernatural and survive? Don't the angels hunt them?

Also, post Supernatural builds and talk Supernatural nonsense to inspire me please.
>>
>>50619118
No, just a bit drama to the usual jumper questions its always so informal usually, "jumpers how X the Y in the Z?"

for a big question does one not want to frame it in a big way?
>>
>>50619128
>Don't the angels hunt them?
Nope. Angels give zero fucks, because they're on a mission to fufill the prophecy of the Christian Apocalypse. Michael and Lucifer are supposed to fight to the death.
The gods don't do enough damage to interfere with that, so they let them go unmolested.
Same as all the monsters.
And after some shit happens, the angels aren't strong enough or unified enough to hunt down Pagan Gods even if they wanted to.

Also, this show just keeps ramping up. You'll see angels wrecking shit and then there will be some big bad that can hand their asses to them, and then someone else shows up who can do that to the last guy…

It's a hot mess.
And somehow the Winchesters stay relevant.
>>
>>50619271

What you have to understand is that Creation is basically a smouldering ember teetering on the brink of literal oblivion while being reamed from the outside by infinite candelabra-wielding fae. And the people in charge are all corrupt, drunk, bickering with each other, insane or all of the above.

The sad truth is that when a Yozi offers Akumahood, there's a strong chance there aren't any better offers coming for another lifetime.

They say never make a deal with a dragon. What they don’t tell you is that it’s not always obvious who you are making a deal with. By the time I found out I was in way too deep. Anyways despite a few bumps in the road it actually turned out to be a benefit… sort of. Sure we were stealing ancient powerful artifacts from absurdly powerful beings, sure we were taking down agents of his other Dragon “friends” who were sure to come after us but I did the jobs decently and cleanly as possible. Perhaps it was my dragon soul from King Arthur but the big scaly bossman seemed to take shine to me. I quickly became one of his favored agents to use. He even managed to arrange papers for my companions so they could legally exist.

The most trouble came from indie jobs. As big a trouble as Dragons can be they just can match the sheer level of being a bunch of bastards as a mega corps. While without my powers I would have probably been dead a few dozen times over working for Big Red (what we referred to him behind his back) The mega corps I worked for tended to have a nasty habit of trying to silence the freelancers that worked for them or they would leave information off the contract or they would try and screw you on the payment. All in all I must say the Big Easy was anything but, however it sure kept things interesting.

So again you're applying restrictions that don't make sense and are actively contradicted by what happens in the story. Do you ever wonder why you're not that popular?
>>
>>50620614
People did. Manyfist is like SJ-chan in that people just cannot be bothered arguing with the pigheaded moron after a certain amount of time, so they just ignore him. A lot of people ignore the stupid rules he puts into jumps by now.

He doesn't care if he's popular or not. Pretty sure he knows that some people thinks he makes stupid decisions from time to time.

>>
>>50620678
Yeah, Manyfist is a lot like Clover in that he feels the need to add a lot of stupid "rules" to make up for his blatant power-wanking. I'm the end, it doesn't redeem him so much as it just makes him a massive hypocrite.
>>
>>50620684
>It says seriously harm someone. That basically means putting someone in the hospital. Slapping someone is perfectly fine. Beating someone to a pulp, isn't. Now giving them a black eye and few broken teeth? That's fine.
Please stop trying to clarify when your clarifications just lead to even more questions. You're drawing lines that are even more ambiguous and just inviting people to try and nitpick the definitions of "seriously harm".

>>
>>50620684
>It's not supposed to be easy street
I mean, that's your opinion, and that's fine, but that seems kind of...I don't know, arbitrary? If that's the right word? Like, why can't it be hard on it's own merit? If squid guy is so tough, then let him be tough on his own, don't just say "Oh, he automatically knows how to counter all your shit because he does." Especially since it doesn't even make sense in some cases. How can he counter the Light of Terra with assassination techniques, especially since you mentioned the thing they were going to kill him with was a space laser satellite? For a drawback, it makes sense (sort of?) but just putting it there just...doesn't. At all. I'm probably not going to convince you, but just think on it, okay?
>>
>>50620734
Use common sense. They're normal people, you know what a serious injury is when you see it. If a person has to be hospitalized that's bad. If you don't know if they're going to live or not, that's bad. You're not suppose to send people to the hospital or the grave.
>>
>>50620571
>Its a minor restriction on an easy street jump.
>>50620684
>Its not suppose to be easy street.
wat
>>
>>50620777
It's a relatively dumb anime premise that runs off anime logic. Jump makers do their best, but sometime arbitrary rules are the best way to accurately portray the setting.
>>
>>50620777
It might seem arbitrary to you because Fist is from a different generation of jumpmakers. Back in the day rather than having "anything goes" as far as choosing settings was concerned, there was a notion that if the jump was one without much conflict in it, you had to sort of introduce a binding conflict so that people wouldn't just grab power and walk away. This isn't exactly the case anymore, and we've gotten a lot more settings where you can really do exactly that.

Hence, the easy street comment is antiquated.
>>
>>50620809
We don't give a shit about representing the setting. It exists for us to get what we want then skullfuck it until the next piece of conquest.

Light [600sp] – The dangers in this galaxy are not nearly so finite as a toxic environment, atmosphere, or alien lifeforms with an infinite taste for blood and death. There are things beyond space itself, trapped in folded dimensions full of horrors singing doom to those who dare cross into their territory. Great behemoths, ancient and ravenous, along with the darkened world of the Ing...many things can end your life merely from you stepping into their domain. No longer. Your suit bears the light of Aether, and a unique part of Luminoth technology adapted to your use. In alien dimensions or worlds where the space itself is hostile to your physical body or the coherence of your forms, worlds where the laws what is and what isn’t is bent with horrifying regularity...you stand as a stone in a river. Your power armor’s form can still be damaged, but not altered against your will, nor harmed by an environment it could not normally hope to survive in. Howling winds of the soul, bent space, dimensional horrors...they will have to fight you personally to have any power over you.

This is how Silent Hill got corrupted, actually. The first game's lore had it being a sacred Native American land, but white people came and started killing everything which corrupted the local spirits into, well, Silent Hill.

At least the place still TRIES to give you a chance to overcome your sins if SH2 is accounted for. Too bad the cult keeps mucking things up with their pain tulpa religion.

>>50621258
It's basically being able to survive in completely alien dimensions. It's based off of The Light Suit, which lets you travel in the normally-acidic Dark Aether dimension without any reservations or anything stopping you.

Thing is, Dark Aether doesn't really exist outside of a specific location, and stops being a thing entirely once Samus is done with it. I figured this was a fun way for Jumpers to use it.

Effectively, things like The Warp, Oblivion, and so forth don't have any affect on your armor (and you while you're in it). You're not exactly INVINCIBLE - life support can still run out, things can still kill you physically or magically if they do it personally - but involuntary shaping of your armor or things that would sear you down to your soul just by being near it are a no-sell.

That said, I still don't recommend diving into total, empty voids or things that would just 'nope' you out of existence - if only because you may be hard-pressed to get out.

That counts as a brutal torturer brutally killing a guy, possibly guilty of crimes, believing himself to be the judge, jury, and executioner. Someone not just satisfied with 'justice' being done but also making others suffer as much as possible for his own entertainment.

No. Think of people like the Punisher and his way of doing things he brutally murders his enemies sometimes for any reason like just being a lookout for a gang or being a murderer he will kill you the same sometimes in just more brutal ways but he will never harm an innocent I.E he kills someones son who was a dealer he would let them hit him claiming the aren't evil. Most heroes don't approve of what he dies and he takes it too far This makes him an Anti- Hero.

Now for an anti-Villain Mr.Freeze commits crimes he would attempt murder, thievery etc but he is doing it for a sympathetic reason to save his wife. He knows what he is doing is wrong and would not do something wrong or evil just for the heck of it like that time he made heavy snowfall in Gotham on Christmas because it wasn't snowing he broke out of prison and fought batman for that one reason. He did it because his wife used to love snow in winter and he couldn't stand the thought of her being sad on Christmas he doesn't commit crimes without a good reason and would not do hurt or harm innocents anymore than necessary that makes him an Anti-Villain.

I only have one Pod, which Raven uses because the Canon Companion option wasn't avaliable at the time and I don't feel like rebuilding the Jump.

Wakana and Yamato come from Imawabi No Dakini, under the Backseat Driver option. They are OCs.

Major Lina is from Ring of Red, which allows you to make OCs.

Okuda is from Is It Wrong To Pick Up Girls In A Dungeon, which allows one to do the same.

So my Companions are all legal, just OCs.

You see its statements like these that show your less than stellar morals. Just killing or stopping bandits is one thing but 'having fun' implies that because they turned to raiding in the crappy universe of Fallout 4 they don't deserve to be treated as humans but toys for you to mess around with. Although there are horrible raider gangs that need to be dealt with like the main Raider gangs in the Nuka Cola world DLC, there are also desperate people that turned to raiding as a last resort such as the former minutemen turned raiders of Libertalia. Although all raider are guilty of crimes of varying levels, torture and murder is not a blanket all way of dealing with all of them

Do you extend the Age of Fire, thereby leading to the world succumbing to more and more horrors and atrocities as time goes on?
Or do you let it all sink back into shadow in an Age of Dark and let a natural cycle continue its course as it "should" have?
Or do you take a third option and conquer it all via turning everything into a Hollow?

Personally, I find the possible answers and reasoning behind this question to say a LOT about a character / person.
>>
>>50622233
I'm not using Virdi as an avatar or anything, not that I haven't rocked a similar look before.

That said, I think it's because contrasts are just fun. Why do Japanese horror movies enjoy scary little girl ghosts? Plus for me specifically, I like letting out that part of myself that gets really upset at injustice and the like, and combine that with several origins that have made me a warrior, or assassin, or fey, or an outright animal or animal person, it just seems natural to me that I'd get a bit violent with the dregs of society.
>>
>>50622271
Maybe Yorokonde, if we're just listing people who have clear personalities and builds. The real question is, who is best girl, and who is best girl.
>>
>>50622287
Age of Dark. There's nothing we know about it that says it's bad or anything, and the world is so unhealthy and sick because of the Age of Fire that I think we should take the chance with the Dark. If people keep trying to maintain the Age of Fire, I think they'll soon regret it as time and place gets more and more warped and corrupted.
>>
>>50622287
>>50622334
Oh, I forgot to ask.

What do you think this says about me, anon?
>>
>>50622287
I first research why prolonging age of fire causes shit to be fucked. Then I see of fire going out means end of time, like what ASA said about first flame literally representing Time.

What would natural age of dark mean for people? Actual death? some time before death? suffering? Reincarnation?
>>
>>50622314
Me. I'm best girl.
>>
>>50622353
ASA is a bit mistaken. In Dark Souls, the era without time was the Age of the Ancients. The time of stone, archetrees, and dragons. Eternal and unchanging. The birth of the first flame created contrasts, and thus allowed things to progress. An Age of Dark wouldn't have no time, because Darkness itself could not exist without this contrast of the flame.

>>50622287
I usurped the First Flame, absorbing it into myself so the world would fall into an Age of Dark and continue along a natural progression. The Abyss is a rampant, uncontrolled form of Humanity and it's a logical conclusion that the state of the world (and by proxy, Kaathe trying to force the issue the other way) is because of each side trying desperately to force its own Age to be prolonged or overtake the other. It's a stagnant situation right now and something needs to change to try and let the world heal. Attempting to force the Flame to be prolonged is almost akin to forcing a life support patient to stick around even after he's been a husk of a man long ago.

It's better to put the Cycle out of its misery, and let the world heal to start anew. As the Fire Keeper said, she sees embers after the Dark. The fire will return on its own, it just needs to be given the chance.

>>50622408
I think the Abyss is mainly an outgrowth of the madness induced in Manus by Oolacile. It wasn't a thing beforehand. We get a lot of hints that the natural state of Dark is cool, quiet, calm, and comforting, so there's a good chance that the Age of Dark might just legitimately be a time of human greatness with its own charm.

Honestly the world of Dark Souls is so screwed up that there is no 'right' answer. Extending the age of Fire only continues a cycle that only brings death and destruction but snuffing out the fire and bringing in the Age of Dark could lead to something even worse. What I did was act as a beacon of light and hope to the many suffering residents of the world. I defeated the many monsters that inhabit the world and befriended and acted as a beacon of stability for as many undead as I could doing my best to give them hope so that they would not hollow. Then at the end of the jump I took as many as I could away from their messed up world.

One day though, when I get my spark, I will return and SAVE the world. So that its residents do not have to live in fear of both the dark and the light any longer.

Anti-heroes are complete assholes who fight for good. Anti-villains are genuinely nice people who fight for evil. That's what the "anti" is for. They're the antithesis to their role while still technically fulfilling it.

>>50621500
Lots of times! Malefor's got the most under his belt, but Vera's also tried a few times.
Sometimes I even let them have a victory, if it won't screw up the chain.

I mean, sometimes I'm being all villainous anyway, and their "betrayal" is them trying to stop me. I feel like telling them not to do that would send the wrong kind of message.

I think ASA was referring to this, which straight up says light=time. The First Flame isn't Time itself strictly speaking, it's more a primordial force of creation and disparity. It created stuff like the difference between light and dark.

>>
>>50622488
Yep, basically. You can arrive at any time between the beginning of WW2 and the plot of the game itself, where someone from North Japan steals a prototype mech from South Japan and South Japan tries to get it back. It's based off a turn based strategy game.

Magic is borne of soul.

This is why Boss monsters have strong magic, they souls are strong enough to linger after death.

Humans have strongest souls.

Magnifying magic boosts that by noticeable amount.

On the subject of violence, generally my jumper has massive anger and violence issues but they're trying to work through it and get help, although they think that cruel justice is "good" as long as it doesn't cross a line and the crime deserved the punishment

Legacy of the Aldenata has a perk that lets you "perfectly multitask, keeping up concentration in as many things as you need to".

Similarly, Overlord has a perk that explicitly says you can perfectly multitask, with as many trains of thought as you want.

Once you've got either of those, and can have basically infinite trains of thought going, further multitasking is probably redundant.

I personally linked the Dark Soul to the True Monarch crown and then used Thaumaturgy to link that to all of humanity, hopefully removing everyone from the Cycle completely. Doesn't solve everything, but it buys me time to find another solution.

Outside of that, the choice that appeals to me the most is Linking the Flame just because "By struggling against the inevitable, we carve meaning from meaningless".

But logically, the real solution is probably to find a way to finally extinguish the Flame so a true Age of Dark can begin and eventually allow the Flame to be born again.

Because I want to get a stand powers after it's durability starts falling behind mine that way I won't have to manifest it in front of someone who could beat it up. Also I want to be able to manipulate my body like it was my stands body.

So what you're saying is there's nothing stopping this from being a vacation jump so long as you don't take drawbacks? If you won't do that, then you should at least add a mandatory power-loss feature like Slice of Life.

>>50623921
They're good for melee and not much else. The main advantage though, is that they scale off of your relevant stats. Intelligence for magic, faith for lightning, both for fire and dark.
>>
>>50623928
Anon, why should I have to do that? I mean, why not both?

Because that could allow other people to get in the warehouse? Unless you make it one-way (can enter from warehouse, but can't exit to it) or give it its own forcewall, I guess.

We arrived and almost immediately we were targeted by powerful agents of the gods. We investigated and found out there was some prophecy about us causing the destruction of the world. We tried to talk to the gods directly but as it happens going there was a really bad idea so after escaping we went to see the oracle who had made the prophecy.

We were ambushed by the 4e versions of ourselves but we used out of context powers and they ran for it. As it turns out they went to the Oracle looking for a power that could beat us which he directed them to one of the seals protecting one of the tears. He told us that we were prophesized to break the seal and unleash chaos on to the world forcing the gods to destroy it.

We arrived at the dungeon after our counterparts we made it to the seal but that’s where they chose to ambush us. Dove, my sister got backstabbed and I thought Killed by their Archer so I sort of snapped and blasted him through the seal and tear unfortunately something about that caused the tear to start to grow as the world began to fray.

I had to burn wishes, and powerful spells to slow the progress but I needed help. I had to risk everything as I traveled to Asgard. I was immediately captured surrendering. I pled my case before the gods asking for help in repairing the tear. They informed me they could do it by destroying and recreating the world again or I could do it but it would have to be done from within. Not wanting the world destroyed I agreed to seal the tear from within.

(to be continued)
>>
>>50625147
Well I'm pretty early in my chain, so I'll be boring and say creating black holes
>>
>>50625291
I returned to the tear undid my spells, apparently my companions had figured out what I was about to do because I wound up inside the pocket dimension with the rest of them. It was a dark and twisted place in there and I knew I didn’t have long to work before I would be torn apart or eaten so I did as the gods told me to. My companions joining in and helped. I was surprised when we were finished that we were still alive. I could see the creature… the snarl it seemed… curious.

It couldn’t comprehend us because we were acting orderly and with unity so it wasn’t eating us. I got a plan and we quickly began to build on to the demiplane around us using the technique the gods had used and we created a demiplane within the demiplane. We spent the rest of our time there using Item world from Disgaea to have something to do. We wound up with so many legendary things… It got really boring in that pocket dimension.
