I've got her backstory v2.0 planned to make her seem less depressed about her childhood and more mature/independant.

But I don't know about fuckable, she has a hard time with that level of intimacy after being evidence of infidelity, though she does want someone to love and be loved by. It's sort of frustrating to write a character with opposing ideologies about love, but I think it'll be worth it.

Not that anon, but I really liked how D&D 3.5 handled time travel. Its setup was kinda unique... Something like "the timeline, once set by actions, wants to stay that way, and while you can change small details, it actively hates you and snaps back together."

One of the examples given is going back in time and killing your grandfather, then the timeline retroactively making you adopted or born into a different family, because fuck you for paradoxing.

I've done a variant of time travel in my home game, but it's not true time travel, since people can't go backwards.

How would a Warlord|Charlatanism Hedgewitch work out for RotJR?

Would going Bushi or Steelfist be better? What about Str vs Dex?

What'd be a good second tradition to match with Charlatanism? And what would be some good sphere effects to look into? I'm thinking dipping time and warp for the haste+teleport, as well as fate and divination for some nice utility, but beyond those I'm kind of at a loss.

Weeeeell I actually made a timeline map for my game recently. It turned out to be kinda dumb.

tl;dr, someone found a way to rewrite reality, retconning away a horrific civil war and the nation involved in it, then rebuilding the world with a new set of variables. This led to several branching timelines manifesting, but not actually progressing; only the Prime Timeline moves forward at any given time.

Right now, the branching timelines are slowly merging back together with the prime timeline, for unexplained reasons.

My current idea for one half is to go Hedgewitch (Font + Charlatanism), take Oratory as my versatile performance, grab expanded inspiration and later amateur spiritualist for maximum skill monkey. The only thing I don't know is how to spend the talents.

The Warlord half was dex-based steelfist, dex-based bushi or str-based bushi, with the main disciplines being scarlet throne(or either of broken blade or fools errand if steelfist) and mithral current, with some riven and e. flux to suppliment. probably keep golden lion and primal fury for the level 1 maneuvers. I just don't know which stat/archetype combo to take. I'm leaning toward dex!bushi, but the others seem attractive in different ways especially since str!bushi would likely have a good attractiveness score.

It's the perfect time to post this again. I have finally finished the last two planned Archetypes for the Broken Shackles martials.

The Knight of the Patchwork Banner is an archetype for the Unchained Cavalier. This archetypes is simpler than the others, merely removing the Mount class feature for the Brawler's martial flexibility, a few extra Oath choices, and a large banner that incorporates multiple banners at once rather than being able to change them out.

The second is the Construct Tinkerer. A gunslinger archetype that loses half of its deeds for a construct companion. This companion comes in three forms, a copter, a small hound like construct, and a heavy lifter. Over time the Tinkerer is able to upgrade his construct companion in a variety of ways. Including spitting acid, blocking line of effect, an afterburner, and more.

Iunno anon, I wrote a character who's father was a demonologist, and who'd sacrifice everything he has (including family members) in rituals to summon them. When his daughter learned that, she took a kitchen knife and gutted him.

Then since there was no proof that her dad actually was a demonologist, they were going to hang her, until a knight on pilgrimage stood up for her in her trial and said he would fight for her in a trial by combat.

He won, and the girl became his squire. Over time he opened herself to the nature of his Order (Knights of the Black Thorn), and how they were dedicated to fighting the forces of Chaos and demons.

It was only natural for her to join them, afterwards, especially since she hopes to free her family's souls from the grasp of Demons.

That's because for Sphere, Nature is much more of a Utility/Battle Control based sphere, and most of Plant Geomancing combat utility comes from entangling and applying effects on either your vines or nearby foliage.

Which yeah, it makes sense, and it also means you can do a lot of stuff if your smart, but because you end up specializing in it, you lose the massive versatility in roles and capabilities that Druids had.

Now, if you really want to go Kineticist, you could use the Kineticist of Porphyra books, and grab/mix Wood with the new Poison element, since there are options for learning Toxinineticist stuff for a Dendrikineticist

Someone fill me in on something. If a GM says that Magical Knack is valid for spheres, does that make it straight up better than all the other "treat CL as 2 higher" sphere traits? Like, If I'm a 1/2 or 3/4th caster, it doesn't make my CL go above my HD. For a 3/4th caster I'd have a "full CL" with fewer talents until 9th, where I'd only be 1 behind. At 13th I'd be 2 behind instead of 4 on CLs. Is that right?
