Laurie has pretty much read our opinions on (ur) MoM (kek) and we got the worst possible answer, like always we ourselves are torn apart between pro-Emperor and anti-Emperor, but we also talked about superheavy tanks, lists, we got some funny pics, and one day we'll be able to play 30k for real, keep those hopes up /HHG/. But what's wrong woth those weapons being sealed away until the 13th company's return?
>>
>>50420034

we're a bunch of semi-anonymous chucklefucks

If I was rating online 30k communities this would be easily the best, but that is not really an accomplishment considering the competition.
>>
>>50420195
This.

It's weird they didn't see reason to equip the Wulfen with better armour. Or how those weapons were so huge even a terminator couldn't use them. Those wrist blades don't seem to be too hard to use, and the SW already got similar claws on their dreadnoughts.
>>
>>50420202
What breaks the seal, and the wulfen aren't specifically said to be 13th company IIRC, just wulfen
>>
>>50420228
If wulfen were used in wulfen squads before the 13th's return, sure, also give them those weapons. I've never been strong in furry-fu, srry.

I would rate this /tg/ general to be better than most other /tg/ generals I have been in. Even the shitposting is not a huge bother here.

Mechaniucm plastic box when? They could do one for the Xana Incursion, have Dark Angels and Blackshield stuff vs. robots. Or, make it an Iron Hands or Iron Warriors set and use robots as the "set-specific" units like Custodes and the Contemptor.
Include 2 Castellax, 3 Thallax, a Magos/Praevian and maybe a bunch of MK2 to satisfy FW and GW's Marine boner?

IA14 is about to be a thing, and if people want to use the robots in 40k just ally in some Cult Mech or something. If the 40k army building restrictions are going to be that damn lax we may as well make use of them.

Also, Castellax can be used by literally every legion in 30k, so that's not a problem.

Fucked if I know, but everyone knows the Mechanicum is a very generous organisation and never ever keeps a single Rhino, Predator or Drop pod that they make for the Mary Sues.

I'm hoping that we either get Legion armour to use or that GW considers the "free robots without any allies restrictions and Legion rules" a good enough justification for some plastic kits.

>The legionary nearest to him was still alive. A World Eater, bisected at the waist, was dragging himself closer to where Ra kneeled. His armour was more red than white, signifying some unknown change within his treasonous Legion.

>ā€˜Blood,ā€™ the warrior murmured through a shattered mouth.

>ā€˜I was there,ā€™ Ra tried to growl at him, but the exhausted words were a snarling whisper. ā€˜I was there the day we saved your mongrel primarch from certain death.ā€™

>ā€˜Blood,ā€™ the World Eater mumbled again. His helm had been crushed, savaging the skull and face within. His eyes were glazed, maddened, the pupils mere pinpricks.

>ā€˜If only weā€™d left him there.ā€™ The Custodian laughed, feeling his reknitting bones and abused muscles stinging afresh with the squirted application of adrenal elixirs from inside his armour.

>ā€˜Bloodā€¦ā€™

>ā€˜If only weā€™d left him to die in those mountains.ā€™ Ra was smiling now. ā€˜The one primarch who couldnā€™t conquer his world. The one primarch who lived as a slave. The one primarch who had to be saved from death.ā€™

>ā€˜Blood!ā€™ The World Eaterā€™s eyes resolved with the ghost of clarity. ā€˜Blood for theā€“ā€™

>A spear rammed through the World Eaterā€™s spine, driven down between his shoulder blades. The power pack on his back shorted out and died. The warrior himself went into convulsions. Eyes that had so briefly cleared now rolled back into his broken head.

>Above him, Solon wrenched the weapon left, then right, and finally pulled it free. The Custodian collapsed a breath later, using the World Eaterā€™s corpse as a seat.

Hey, most were adopted by the planetary ruler, like Dorn, Guilliman, Mortarion and Perturabo. That's a damn fine start.

Now that Primarchs are getting a novel each, will we have an insight on Mortarion's farming years?

What I want to know is why Emps didn't fight alongside the Twelft on Nuceria, rather than kidnapping him. He could have declared compliant Nuceria to be degenerates for their usage of the Nails and promptly wreck their military alongside Angron.

Perturabo also hadn't conquered his world. This is actually plot important.

Lion*, Fulgrim, Magnus, and Vulkan ruled by popular acclaim. Lion being the only won to have actually ever fought against humans.

Ferrus neither ruled nor conquered.
Alpharius did who the fuck knows.

Custodes confirmed for not knowing shit.

*Given his taming a death world by hitting it with a sword until it gave up, I guess he kind of did conquer his planet
>>
>>50422211
Oh, too bad. So did Lorgar's dad yet he got made into a space marine
>"You kept that mule Kor Phaeron. Russ kept his kin-friends. The Lion kept Luther. Humans - brothers and foster fathers - saved and raised into Legion ranks. But not me. Not Angron, no. Did the Emperor teleport his gold-wrapped Custodians down to help me and my army? No. Did he free the War Hounds and order them to battle, fight alongside me? No. Did he save my brothers and sisters the way he spared and honoured the Lion's closest kin? The way he honoured Kor Phaeron? No, no and no. No mercy for Angron. Angron the Oathbreaker. Angron the Betrayer."
>>
>>50422268

Agreed. He went Skyrim on his world, that's not conquering, still badass.
But Perturabo DID conquer the world. As in, in Lochos' name, he went all Leonardo Da Vinci on his world, but he had no interest in being its ruler. I guess that's the part you're mentioning about being important to the plot? That he did it all as per the terms of his scholarship.

I wonder what plastic sets they might do. Rumor had it that a Phall box was ready (multiple boxes were ready before BaC's release), but that would just repeat Mk III armor, wouldn't it? It'd have breachers, maybe rapiers or quad mortars (gods forbid). Dunno, not sure I see it happening.

A Caliban box could give us Mk II and bikes.

Mk V would be nice, but fluffwise that works best with World Eaters. I don't see GW doing the Shadow Crusade because they already gave Ultramarines a box, so maybe Terra? WE vs BA, give the latter plastic assault marines against WE despoilers in plastic Deimos-pattern Rhinos.

Morty's dad was the last Necromancer in the world, the fortress was surrounded and his army depleted. That's a siege. Mortarion had had difficulties in cracking it for good, but in time he would have made it. No longer than a decade.

he started coughing up his own lungs because he went solo on the emperor's challenge instead of conquering it with his army like he did the rest of the planet

You can call mort a failure for a lot of reasons, but he did a pretty good job on barbarus until the emperor made him go full retard.

WS, they're weaponmaster vets with power swords and a power glaive on the sarge

I'm not the anon arguing about company, I rather argue about time. His gear melted at that height, he would have needed to invent a better armour, and that requires time.
I mean, he did make the Barbaran plate by himself, no Terran armourers like Dorn's, no tech gathered from 500 worlds like Guilliman, no archaeotech enhanced by the Technopope like Horus.
He flat out made artificer armour in a planet below feudal level, and he put a bathtub on its back so he could make some illegal whiskey on his free time, because let's not forget he's a farmer.
He just needed time.
And even then, Emps flats out STEALS his kill? You know how much Mortarion hates psykers? Imagine the 180Ā° turn he'd have experienced if the Emperor had buffed him with Endurance Biomancy.
>Huh, turns out not all witches are bad...Father.
To be the one who created those sentient weapons, he does show poor understanding of them.

I always figured that Morty and Angronius would be revealed as relatively early finds and that the Emperor would learn from his fuck ups with them to take a more measured approach with later discovered Primarchs like Vulkan.

But that would have been an easy and obvious plotline so BL failed to notice it.

Do I just make an allied detachment with a basic Thrall unit and Scoria/Scoria's Vorax just to challenge him, or what?

No giant flaming sword, no shining, entirely golden unique armour, no poignantly larger-than-life heroes and villains, no entourage of retards standing around doing nothing. Just two dudes in almost identical terminator gear standing around a bunch of mangled corpses, about to start killing one another.

Nice. Plan was to have the Thralls just wander off as usual, and Outflank Scoria and his Vorax unit into their backline, hopefully forcing them to either hold back forces to fight him or lose all their fire support to a rampaging Magos.

Also, Xana. Not loyalist, I just like explosions.
>>50424505

I don't bring Lords of War because my army is quite small and I don't yet have any.
Was considering a Stormsword for maximum fuck your infantry and tanks, though.
Currently planning on ordering some Destructors come Christmas, so that will help. Thing is, against Dorn that is essentially a 5+ to wound, rerolling 1. He isn't really the problem, it's Morty and the Knights. I have tarpits ready for Mortarion.

Going to get a Lightning as well, plus the Reductor shooty buffs means I have 4 BS6 AP0 Armorbane Tank Hunting missiles. That will put quite the dent in a Knight or Spartan.

Not broad enough to do that. The reason why Eye of Terror was so big, while Armageddon and Piscina went forgotten is because basically every faction had a claim in it, and the playing field was broad enough to allow crazy stuff to happen (unlike with Medusa).

I like it because it seems a little more down-to-Earth than the traditional picts of E-Money facing down Horus. You know, the ones where Horus is about 15 feet tall, and Emps has his glorious golden halo and blah blah blah. They look fantastic, but over the top.

I like this pict because it shows two dudes in pretty realistic wargear (for the setting) who are about to duke it out. No planet-cracking powers, just some dudes in pimped out Termie suits about to lay down.

This is still obviously an important fight, but ultimately just that; a fight.

The given reason is that the Emperor was trying to stop people worshiping because it can lead to (literal) Chaos. They reinforced this in MoM when the Emp has an enemy Pope brought before him and lets Ra see through His eyes; the Pope is hugely corrupted.

The Mechanicum were seeded by the E, he knew how to present Himself as their god, the chances of their wonderfully half-logical half-faith belief making them go Chaos was much lower, partially intentionally.
I mean, it took a fucking computer virus sealed away in a safe concreted under the basement breaking out to really kick off the Mechanicum rebellion.
And the characters talk about how weird it is that the tec-heads get to have a religion all the time.

Having said all that I'm not giving you shit for just not liking it, whatever man, do your thing baybee.

Need some inspiration/advice for conversions of the two unique characters in Burning of Prospero.

Ahriman is obviously suited to be a librarian conversion, though I see the makings of a chaplain there, perhaps?
What kind of armour is that anyway? The knees look pointed like Mk6 and the weird ribbing seems peculiar too.

As for the Space Wolves guy, converting him would be a bigger job than just filing off the wolf parts, and of course there's the Wolf pelt that's an integral part of his lower torso.
That would work without looking odd on a Luna Wolves/Sons of Horus model, but would it seem out of place on other legions? I mean, a legionnaire might wear a pelt if he had slain a particularly noteable specimen, had it as a memento from his feral world origin, or gotten it as a present from a Space Wolf?

Anyone got any pics of conversions of these?

Because FW fucked up and tried to create Reductor at least three separate times.
The first time was as some minor LoW-only faction, like the current Autokrator, about the time the Mechanicum was envisioned as ally-only rather than as a full faction.
Then in HH2 FW created the Magos Dominus as a non-Decima generic HQ (which is also why Decima has such low stats), and introduced the beginnings of Cybernetica and Reductor. And by Reductor I mean some dude who lacks any sort of support role and pretty much has satchel charges and bombs and rad grenades as proof he's Reductor. So, the first generic Magos Reductor is someone like pic related.
Then FW created the Magos Prime, meant to be a Praetor to the Dominus' consul Librarian, and they got Ordinators, "Magos Autokrators lords of the Centuria Ordinatus and Reductor". They aren't lords of the Myrmidons as well only because they introduced Myrmidax alongside them.
And then FW introduced Magos Reductors proper, without erasing the clusterfuck of mistakes the Ordinators are, because the Centuria Ordinatus, the Ordo Reductor and the Autokrator are different things!

I agree about the wolf guy, he's very limited in what can be done without thoroughly butchering him (still worth it if you have two BoP boxes), but for Ahriman I see that what could be done is:

>Chop off the "sun" features at the end of the scrolls (Replace them with aquilas like from the 40k tac squad sergeant decoration, greenstuff the ends flat, or make them look "ragged")
>File down the scarab on the chestplate and the runes on the panels, filling in the spaces for a flat surface with greenstuff
>Chop and file off the rest of the scarabs, suns, and the horns and fill in with GS (simple stuff)

The only thing I find difficult to remove the 1k Sons association from are the "scarab" cloak-brooches on the back of the cloak, which are too noticeable and too scarab-looking to leave as they are. Filing them off and replacing them with GS-ed brooches would probably be the most straightforward option.

>>50426693
Wolfie's definitely not the same type of creature as Ahriman or the BaC generics.
But apparently (image via Bitzbox), the sprue for the SW character has him broken down into a lot of individual pieces, making for easier conversion via replacement parts and (more importantly for other legions) the ability to get into the hard-to reach places.

I probably won't ever convert him because I don't see myself getting two BoP boxes, but I will almost certainly buy a "spare" Ahriman at some point for conversion to a Chaplain (I find it harder to pose a model with more moving parts in a way that gives sufficient "dynamism" to the pose like a chaplain should have over the "nerds" of the Librarians).

>Wrong
He knew the Crusade was to begin right there because the Warp, previously impassable due to the turmoil of Slaanesh's gestation, was much calmer after it was born. As calm as it was ever going to get. That was his chance.
I mean, 10 000 years have passed and mankind isn't yet a psychic race, and won't be for another 10 000 years at least.
But getting rid of warp travel, and maybe finding the complete STC database, well, those would have been great achievements that would have restored Mankind's glory.
It fell in the first place because the warp became impassable anyway.
>>

The Imperium needs its machines run, so the Emperor needs the Mechanicum.

This implies that the Emperor and Imperium don't need Lorgar. Of course, then Lorgar's original cult becomes the basis for the Imperial Creed, which is a necessary organization for holding back Chaos and keeping the Imperium together, so technically the Emperor just didn't think he needed Lorgar, when he really did.

Lorgar already believes in us, he just doesn't know it yet. He's our way in, and will probably prove useful as long as there are humans, let's not really fuck with him.
Horus, he's the most powerful of them in their terms, and his betrayal will cause the most chaos, he's our way to slay the Anaethema with maximum style points.
Magnus? What's that Tzeentch, he's already yours and you just want to hug him and squeeze him and play with him forever? Go for it my son.
Alright, who's left? Oh. Well, anyone wanna call dibs? Okay, both Khorne and Slaanesh you both want the one with wings, well fucking hell guys. Look, both of pick another one that you can definitely get just in case, best to have a banker. How about those two obvious sad-sacks, they're right up your street. Cool.
Nurgle, you want anyone? Yeah, I know man, not a great selection. Yeah, I know you're not that bothered, but pick one man. Dude, come on, you're slowing us all down here. Yeah sure, okay, the smelly one, perfect.
Ha, nobody wanted the edgy ones or those two meme fucks. Let's just share them as something to fuck about with on a rainy day, keep the others ones fresh you know?

>he said "do not do the thing, because if you do I will kill you so hard you die to death"
No thats explaining what would happen if he did the thing. Explaining why would mean giving justification for the ban.
>>
>>50427760
Then Magnus shouldn't have used psychic powers even if his feelings were hurt.
>>
>>50428175
Violence and death. Just like the other Primarchs.
>>
>>50428193
>>50428197

I believe this demonstrates why E-Money kind of tabled Malcador's "advice" when he offered it.
>>
>>50428203
the justification is staying alive and not getting emperor-fucked

>what would a female primarch, if Malcador got his wish threaten Malcador with.

Not counseling her brothers.

Telling the Emprah about all that Tzeenchy Xeno tech.

Samus as a missing primarch has developed into a fetish at this point.
>>
>>50428280
>Emperor! I have lived with these xenos all my life and I have fused with their alien technology, give them a chance!
>Emp's face when.

And thats how the II legion ceased to exist!.

Anon, that has been my head-cannon since inception.

So is there any actual objective improvements that BL has brought to the HH fluff? Most of it seem pretty damn stupid or contradictive.

>Castration? I don't think that would really have the intended effect.
I think your comment didn't have the intended effect. But yeah, she'd threaten Malcador in a physical way alright. All Primarchs did.
She'd have stood defiant, way beyond 2 metres tall of crimson amazon, eye aflame with contempt staring at him, seeing beyond his mere flesh. Slow yet purposeful, she'd close the distance so the height difference would be more apparent, trapping Malcador between the wall and the Mistress of the XVth. A giantess, yet her body not a disproportionated monster, but rather an upscaled paragon of feminity like all femarchs were, a sculpture of ruby with a long fiery mane, horns protuding from behind her broad yet feminine shoulders.

"For someone who is always in the presense of MY father, you know surprisingly little about the Great Ocean, old man" crimson lips spoke to Malcador, looking at him through the valley formed by her red breasts, his head at the union between those giant orbs and her powerful abdominal muscles.

"And I'd say you're far too eager on your own..."research", child, but whatever I think matters not. OUR Emperor has already commented on that issue". She blushed a shade of red Mars would be envious of. Cold sweat suddenly ran upon her skin, surging from below her chin, resting on her cleavage. "And it'd be in your best interest you take heed from Him, now if you excuse me".

She turned around violently, her mane nearly hitting Malcador straight on his face. If almost...

One day, one day she'd have her reckoning, and she'd prove her father wrong. She'd prove all the Imperium wrong...

I actually don't mind the AL fluff since they betrayed the cabal.

Showing how 5 ordinary AL legionnaires managed to keep the raven guard from turning the war against Horus while also explaining how the alphas managed to stay so prolific throughout the Imperium was pretty cool

Alpha Legion and White Scars being more developed is good.

Thats all I can think of.

Having the reason the emperor was secretive about going back to earth be him trying to out-jew the navigator houses is pretty sweet.

That's pretty much the only new thing I like that has actually explored a scenario the original heresy stories left bare, WITHOUT retconning anything.

>>
>>50428528
Theres two blue ones! Well actually Three blue ones! Well actually 4 blue ones, one who is on Ultramar and 2 we can take.... and well its more like 4 people with one being split literally and one being split mentally. And half of both of them hate us.... okay so its more like we have half of a blue person!

The blue one, girded with gold. The one whom others call Blade of Unity and whom Konor foolishly called son. The one sitting at the heart of the east!
The accursed Thirteenth child!
