I like it a lot more.

You've avoided all the mary-sue tendencies that plagued the draft I commented on, you've given the character a clear reason to *want* to go on the adventure, and added some much-needed flaws.

I guess the only glaring comment is: How does the Mesmerist piece fit into her backstory? The Vox is a crazy flavorful archetype, but it doesn't look you're doing much to develop it.

Plus, on a more selfish note, another character from the LotLK adds some fun connections for Corwin.

The fluff I'm using for Vox is that she sings the songs her mother taught her. They're celestial, and thus magical, and even though she doesn't speak it, (Scion of Humanity), it's still able to produce disorienting and debilitating effects.

I guess? From the basic numbers I ran while trying to put together an optimization gradient for the thread earlier today, it looked like the Sacred Servant || Rubato was near the top of both the damage and defenses.

Anyway, on the Mesmerist front, I assume you're mostly using for the Tricks and Painful stare. If that's what you want, you should check out the Vexing Daredevil. It's a martial-focused Mesmerist archetype.

Tell me /pfg/, is there any way to get sneak attacks just by having concealment against an opponent? Or to feint without completely fucking my action economy? Pondering a gestalt with Dusk Knight paladin on one side and something with SA on the other. Would be nice to reliably add SA somehow since the knight replaces smite damage with concealment for the duration of the smite.

The idea was to just be a cool devoted ninja-like servant girl with obsessive tendencies, and then building from that there's the chance that her love is dangerous not because there's a chance of her going psycho and killing everyone, but because of a 'too much of a good thing' deal.

I guess the problem is that most of her edge is in her backstory and that's what the character summary focuses on, I could move that to a pastebin and talk more about her current self in the post.

As the other half of that paired app, in my defense, there's only so non-edgy you can make a Vitalist (Life Leech, Sadist)|Malefex gestalt character, but maybe that's a fair point; the idea for my character is that he's hit bottom, and while he's poised to just keep going down, he could just as easily be brought back up to the light (and sobriety).

Not... Not exactly? The assumption would be that he was working for them for many, many years learning the trade under multiple aliases, with his latest one sticking around for almost a decade by the time of the game itself. It's interesting, but it'd require some hefty tweaking to work in.

It was actually vaguely implied that he was a native to the region surrounding Sandpoint. One potential reason for the "how" that got tossed around was that the sword left behind by that random group of adventurers that first saved him is what actually "woke him up". On account of it being an intelligent "Black Blade". Of course, could say the sword was from Minkai, but selling an Estoc as being from an Asian country might be hard.
I now realize that there's very real possibility that the Kaijitsu family might end up paranoid over employees "being that damn fox, again", on account of how I implied he got discovered a few times.

So I was looking at the Shadow Mystery for Oracles, and I was wondering just how much I can improve the power of the Shadow spells to make them more likely to be believed and their power when not? Does anyone have any experience with Shadow spellcasting and how high you can buff this?

It says it has a max of 100%, but that caveat's not on things like the Solid Shadows metamagic. And I believe the actual order of appication of things is 'whichever is most beneficial'

Rise of the Jade Regent is a campaign on Roll20. It starts with the first book of Rise of the Runelords, Burnt Offerings, and continues from there with all of Jade Regent.

The reason why it's popular is because the GM shilled it here for a bit, and because he's said he's flexible on lewds. Being the degenerates that we are we fixated, and it soon became a circlejerk of cuteposting. Lately though, people have actually started some legitimate discussions. Eh, it's not so bad. Fighters are getting Combat Stamina for free. Having Combat Stamina nets you a second 1st level deed from Amateur Swash and Slinger, and lets you spend stamina instead of grit/panache for 'em, not to mention grit and panache just mooshing together on their own anyway.

Only thing I gotta check with the DM is if the Stamina Trick for amateur swash lets you nab parry/riposte.

Been doing more curious reading for to trying to make a dragoon, and I found some stuff in the mythic tiers.

I read this as having two separate clauses; the first being "You can charge at creatures in the air, or leap across obstacles as part of a charge", the second being the optional expenditure of mythic power.

Seems like warlord with piercing thunder & primal fury schools is very much a great way to start, for both dual boosts and dual stances later on. First mythic ability I'd go is Aerial assault, then titans bane.

For the champions strike I'd go with fleet charge (probably wouldnt use it much though).

Now to find ways to improve jump; maybe a ring of jumping created at CL9 for a tasty +30 ehancement to acrobatics in regards to jumping, enchant it with a featherfall effect for immunity to fall damage. I'd love to find a way to get access to a ninja's high jumper ability.

What's the best self-defense magic I can get as a level 3 spherecaster?
Is it Greater Barrier? 30 HP is a lot, although it would cost 2 spell points.
I thought about the Not!Sanctuary effect, whatever it's called, but the 15 Will DC seems like it'll be beaten too often for it to matter.
What do you guys recommend?
Other than "kill/disable the enemies before you die"

That's actually pretty badass, anon. Just need to figure out what kind of dragon, what their ulterior motives are, why they took you in, etc. Then connect you with some of the NPCs or even the PCs and boom! You're good.

Juno's life was heavily regimented but continued as normal until she was selected to mate with one of her peers. It was then that in a font of divine power, spirits began to flock to her, vying for a physical form within her nascent child.

The council of enlightenment saw this phenomenon as potentially disastrous to their work, and had Juno exiled.

She arrived in magnimar and quietly had her twin sons, who had the spark of the divine within them.

I like the character, I just don't think Juno fits too well from what I've seen.

Guys, I need help.
My level 5 Barbarian has a mage cohort now, after rescuing her from a monster den.
An Incanter with 15 health and 11 AC.

I like the character a lot, and she's got a couple REALLY good combat buffs, but...
Well, simply put, I can't protect her. She can't protect herself either. All it takes for her to die is the GM deciding that an enemy charges her.

If Pathfinder wasn't a dumb poopy game for idiots, my character could easily keep her safe. Sadly, the best I've got is one AoO per turn, hopefully a crit that kills whatever's charging her. God forbid there's an archer or something.

What should I do? I want to keep her around for both mechanical and roleplay reasons, but her life is completely at the whims of the GM, more so than you'd normally like.

Crystalhue, the Shelynite Winter Solstice celebration, which falls out around the 21st of Kuthona (December). Shelynites celebrate by hanging prisms around to create rainbows and exchanging small handmade gifts to those they feel they've wronged. Women dye their hair in rainbow colors, men wear colorful patchwork garments that they build up every year, all to imitate Shelyn. Many marriages are held at the same time, and teenagers are encouraged to pursue their own romances.

A single child is chosen to represent Shelyn, and brings a stuffed doll, called the Zon-Zon, Shelyn's name for her brother Zon-Kuthon, around to all the townsfolk, who give it trinkets and whisper apologies and words of kindness to the doll. At the end of the day the doll is cast away, in the hopes that it finds its way to Zon-Kuthon so he can hear words of kindness.

One of my favorite bits of Golarion fluff.

She's the kind of person that gravitates to people in need. Give them a hug and tell them its going to be all right. She dotes on nearly everyone she likes and is fiercely protective children in general.

Like she took the idea of being a kind and caring mother and applied to her entire being.

That said, she's not afraid to go Ripley on some asses.

All that said, she is a massive flirt. knowing full well that she has milf appeal, and isn't afraid to flaunt it.

I'd suggest a name with a lot of Ms and As, something soft and feminine that can inspire lust as much as love (it should also sound like a pet name, or can produce a pet name, i.e. Cass/Cassie being short for Cassandra.)

How does Misha or Amalthea sound? The former's cute and motherly/loverly, but Amalthea is the name of Zeus's foster mother while having all sorts of sweet-sounding syllables.
