Looks like a good update. It's an interesting move giving Magician two 400 discounts to Con Man's 1, but balancing that by giving Con Man an extra 600 discount.

Fog's pricing looks about right now.

The only thing I'd comment on is that without some knowledge of DC magic in general or JLD in particular, you really don't know what magic is capable of. Now, granted, plenty of jumps don't really get down into the nuts and bolts of it so if you want to leave it off you should be fine. However, if you want to head off some questions it might not hurt to do something do mitigate questions from people less familiar with the source material.

That's all extremely tentative. I just added all the perks ready yet. Will probably have Con Man, Magician, and Guide get two discounted perks per price tier with a little less for Monster since they get 3 400 perks discounted.

My best advice here would be to just stick to the source material. JLD was a pretty tight book, so you can just look at what was done in that book. Your DC Mystic jump will be harder in that respect, because it's a genre in a comic house so that will be all over the board.

For this though, just stick with what goes down in JLD and scale it as necessary there.

Naruto, way back in an old chain.

Bit of backstory: took the MC-Kun drawback, had the Kaguya bloodline, and was the jinchuriki of Chomei; had a technique where I used Chomei's chakra to make the subdermal bone armor Kimimaro used form over my skin and take on a Kamen Rider-like appearance. This was in the Chunin Exam arc, in the preliminary for the third round. I was put up against Gaara of all people, and he'd just Sand Burial'd my ass due to bad avoidance roll, but I at least had the subdermal armor activated at the time.

I popped out of the pile of sand looking like I had a bad run-in with a woodchipper, and said "That was a nice try. Really, it was. But, here's the thing...you might have one tail, but me?"

I then pop one of my tails and form the armor. "Me? I've got seven. But I only need one to kick your ass."

Yeah, Hellblazer is weird for power. I think you've got a lock on it based off of how you wrote the capstone. His approach to magic, literally running a con on reality, lets him pull off some bullshit. That won't be easy to scale. Old Hellblazer magic would be hard to explain, but it at least mostly consistent in how John does stuff and what he's able to pull off.

In the New 52 Constantine run and JLD, he swings wildly from being a standard comic book wizard who's throwing around flashy spells to someone who not only can barley do anything but also isn't as good at using what he does have as he should be. It's a little annoying how they kind of butchered his character.

Okay, so long ago someone made the BBS wip. Then I started a KH jump without telling anyone and it sorta stalled and didn't go anywhere. Then Spyro revealed he'd claimed and was working on KH and was way further along than me. I said cool, I was looking at doing it, showed him my skeleton of the KH jump and we teamed up to make the jump.

BBS was claimed again post KH, then abandoned again, and kinda sorta ended up with me. I won't even be starting it till I've replayed BBS, which won't happen till I've finished Khans, which won't happen till I have a break IRL.

The status of BBS at the moment is 'if you want to claim it just let me know, and if you want to use or add stuff to the supplements we can organise that'.

So yeah, if you want to make it lemme know and you can go for it. If you want to use your own supplements or not use any that's fine too. If you claim it the only involvement I'll have is if you bring the supplement into it. Other than that, go for it.

That's a bit of an outlier, though. My combat banter bread and butter is self-depreciation. That is, loudly taking myself to task for every little screw-up and missed opportunity in my assault, without directly acknowledging my opponent at any point.

Hits them right in the pride, and leaves precious little ammo for their own retorts even if I'm not utterly dominating for whatever reason.

Pretty much anytime I'm in a setting where there's a war, I take part in some way. I'm kind of a blood knight. You have no idea how much fun I had in Awakening when I got into a giant dragon fight with Grima using my LoS form.

Depends. If it's safe for the story, I usually turn the tide in favor of the side I like pretty quickly, or I stomp both sides if I don't like them both. Otherwise, I help/hinder as much as I can without risking the fate of the setting if the problem is too big for me to handle by myself.

I mean, I'd been playing the recurring antagonist card pretty hard. Or more like a "recurring empire"? Like, imagine if the Haltmann Company from Kirby got their butt kicked, fucked off into space, and then came back with new stuff every month or so. This went on for ten years.
So by the this happened, he was pretty familiar with them. Most of the empire hinged on the fact that I wasn't the one he was fighting. I was always making minions, or robots, or monsters to fight in my stead. The empire had a definite personality (assimilate/copy/upgrade/conquer/destroy), and even some quirky undertones (because I get bored), but their boss was a mystery.

I hung out with Saitama and Genos a fair bit in my off hours. I mean, it's not exactly hard. And I wasn't super interested in the other heroes. All you have to do is... follow them around. So they knew who I was.
We celebrated birthdays together. I hung out while playing my Gameboy. I tried to help Genos get better, too. It wasn't anything special.

What kind of wars? Please, I'm not picky. I don't like war, I love war. Doesn't matter what, I love a good fight. Sometimes I keep myself at a lower power level, and sometimes I go all out.

My personal favorite so far was in Mass Effect. I went after a whole bunch of other space-based jumps, and pretty much had a massive fleet of mismatched ships like the Migrant Fleet, only more war-oriented. Light of Terra and the other ships from that jump series, ships from Star Trek, from Star Wars, from everywhere I could buy them, hijack them, or get the blueprints from. We took the fight to the Reapers while Shepard was doing his thing across the galaxy and everyone else had their thumbs up their asses. By the time the Battle for Earth came around, the Reapers' numbers were reduced by a lot. Hell, the United Fleet came in to a battle that was already in full swing. Those ten years were fucking fun as hell.

Honestly I love fighting and making newer more impressive weapons to try out in often one sided battles. But I don't like war. So much time and resources wasted that could be spent on SCIENCE!, or ADVENTURE!, or something productive. Frankenstein probably is, but Vampire shouldn't be. It's based on Cain, the first vampire. He was sucking up all the magic in a large area, depowering all the mages and using it to supercharge himself and an army of vampires. You can also turn huge numbers of vampires that are bound to your will, forgot to add. You're essentially a walking apocalypse scenario, if you really put your mind to it. And almost a hard counter for any mages who draw on ambient magic.

Generally, I start with a rough idea of what jumps I want to do first. Sticking to low-power things early on will teach you basic tropes like danger, and adventure. Don't take a huge mass of companions early unless you're super lonely. Think carefully about cause and effect, along with consequence.

Currently? I started off with a Jumper with a much-weaker benefactor, with the houserule there was no 'go home' or 'stay' option - it's end of the chain or bust. Failure means nonexistence for the Jumper and the benefactor. Long story.

That said, early incidents in your chain can shape your personality for the rest of it. It's when you're still getting used to things, are in the most danger, and when you'll be the most homesick. My starter dying created a self-motivation to use jump powers to help others, like a superhero, while still wanting to restrain myself from abusing the ever-growing power that comes from the chain.

Basically, start with an initial arc for your 'character', then build off of it. Protip: Pace yourself between jumps. Even if you have a super-ultra-combo you want ASAP, write at least a small greentext blurb about what you do in each jump. Make at least every odd one interesting, even in a slice-of-life fashion. Helps the writing muscles.

Speaking personally, when I landed in Pokemon I kept wondering if this was all a dream. Or had it been a dream before?
I got weird and existential and slightly depressing, but it was all internalized and occasionally vented out to the Pokeworld's 4chan equivilant. I found myself hanging out on /x/. It wasn't great.

I operate under diminishing returns (which most jumpers don't), so I ended up specializing heavily into knowledge over power. As a direct result of that, I further specialized into robotics and engineering, which basically just means I build armies and fortresses for fun.
Over time that has further offshooted into "VERBOTEN" research, such as the nature of souls, dimensional glitches, and corruption of reality. Y'know, typical "what the fuck are you doing" nonsense.

I also have something of a strong nihilistic streak in real life, some personal issues that I'm fully aware of, and a love for stories and roles, all of which colour my chain and allow me to vacillate heavily in characterization while maintaining a "true self" that rears itself much more rarely.

So, yeah, that's pretty much it.

There's a huge range of strength they demonstrate, though it's worth noting that the gods at least are pretty strong (Ares tosses a pillar across a desert). And the Titans all throw huge chunks of rock up at Olympus.

I'm a fan of the Tireless perk from Overlord (LN).

No need to sleep. Just taking a moment to catch your breath is enough. I find the share perks work best for utilitarian purposes.

Not everyone needs say Super Strength but the ability to go without sleep by just staying inactive for brief periods is very nice.

A real toss up for the Mental perk though.
