How? What's the canon justification?
>>
>>50285839
>>50285841
>>50285969
Kaizer took a chunk out of his zanpakuto, forged it into a ring, and proposed to harribel with it.

90% certain.
>>
Hey Gauntlet. What's the canon justification for that Ring? Try not to get smarmy about it this time either.
>>

>>50285826
>>50285839
>>50285841
The ring in question basically the same one made by Kaizar for Harribel after a long courtship. It is also crafted of things came from Barragan crown. Kaizar has basically left his old life behind for Harribel at this point, to the point of when he found his old wife and child he told them to basically follow nature (They're Shinigami's now) next time they met. It is symbolic of leaving one life behind to join another. That's my justification.

>>50285831
Still working on the Companion section.

>>50285863
I'll work on that.
>>
>>50285980
>>50285983
And that translates to another blue feather how? Get a better justification for handing out more pods to people.
>>
>>50285804
So what you're saying is that you have no justification to give besides wanting bragging rights for including a Blue Feather in your jump. It's fine to have a canon companion option for your jump, it's another thing to make it able to companion things from other jumps.
>>
>>50285983
Then make it a canon companion option IN THIS JUMP, not in all other jumps.
>>
>>50285983
Okay, but how does that transfer into a free pass to the multiverse? If you want to make a canon companion option I don't see anyone bitching. Making an item, though, that makes anyone a companion? The Blue Feather cause enough shit the first time around, I don't want to deal with that again.
>>
>>50285983
I get that those are events that happen in the lore, but I don't see a connection between that and the meta you're introducing. Help me understand here.
>>
>>50286106
Nice job immediately outing yourself.
>>
>>50286106
Red's not gone famalam.
>>
tell me jumpers, do you posses the power of Royalty? Are you heralded by chariots of iron and fire? tell me of moments you became Royalty.
>>
>>50285983
Is English not your native language? The way you write perks and answer questions in thread makes me wonder about that. I'm talking shit here, just curious. If you aren't a native speaker, I'm willing to make allowances. If you are, though, you're going to need to work on your communication.

With this post and some in the last thread you've been coming across as really fucking snide.

The ring is symbolic of leaving a past life, in this case the Jump in question, and going joining with the life of another, in this case the Jumper on his Chain.

I'll slap a fiat 'Don't copy this' on it along with a 'you must actually love the person' and 'They must be willing (of their free will and volition)' but other than that it stays.
>>
>>50286116
When I went to Song of Ice and Fire and paid to be Robert and Cersei's trueborn son, also Joff's elder by about a year.
>>
>>50286110
What are you talking about, anon?
>>
>>50285996
Pods are shit and an artifact of how Quicksilver felt that jc was going to be way smaller than what it ended up being.
>>
>>50286106
>HeavensAnon/Brellin
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BDB_yCvuTlE
>>
>>50286127
So, there's no canon justification for the item having the effect you're giving it. Got it.

>it stays.
Look, cutie pie, don't fucking post your WIPs in the thread if you don't want feedback. It's a shitty item, so you're going to get pushback. If you do get pushback, whipping your dick out and waving it around is not the best way to engender a great response.

Just ask Mema.. I mean Cenanon. Go ask him how well that shit goes over.
>>
>>50286127
Why is it so expensive anyways? It seems more like a 200-400 cp item than a capstone.
>>
>>50286116
Does conquering a kingdom and then instating yourself as new royalty count? because I do that a lot in fantasy jumps.
>>
>>50286110
Why do they think HeavensAnon is Brellin? It seems like kind of a strange theory.
>>
>>50286127
Since when have you been such a douche?

I asked a question, I didn't question your parentage. As it stands, I think it's a bad idea and a bad item. A fiat no copy just invites shitposting. Just make a canon companion option it does the same thing and avoids the Blue Featuer podding bullshittery.
>>
>>50286167
Oh... It's you. Should have guessed.
>>
>>50286167
Okay, how about this.

The sword is made of bits of your soul.

The ring is made from the sword.

You just gave your waifu a bit of your soul.

Ergo, she gets dragged along for the ride.

You've stated you don't like the ring, and the author has stated his reasoning. Your response was 'your reasoning sucks'.

Shut up about the ring already.
>>
>>50286187
You do know blue feathers are a thing right?
>>
>>50286207
>Shut up about the ring already.
Nah. It's a stupid meta item and it doesn't belong.

>>50286203
Different animal entirely.
>>
>>50286218
And look how well liked and not shitstormy they turned out to be.
>>
>>50286127
It is fun seeing a guy flushing what rep he has down the drain. Seen it again and again with different people but each time is always a little special, a little unique.
>>
>>50286195
Because by bundling Heavens with an Jumpmaker liked less, it theoretically becomes a lot easier to rag on his work. The only issue is that nobody believes that stupid theory.
>>
Fantastic Beasts jump when?
I want a Queenie of my very own.
Also, thunderbird still best bird.
>>
>>50286222
>Tera, SJ and Adarx then?
Tera would be... dubious, SJ-Chan is solidly mid-tier, and Adarx is comparable to the best jumpmakers we have. So yes, I would.
>>
>>50286207
Why does it logically follow that if someone has a piece of your soul they follow you along on jumpchain?
>>
>>50286226
I >>50286203 was talking about the Anon who got so butthurt over Cena's jumps that he kept bringing it up and whining.
>>
>>50286248
I don't remember if Cats has called it or not, but I think he was interested in doing it. Just wait for him to decide I guess, not everyone has seen it anyways.
>>
>>50286248
>Fantastic Beasts jump when?
When Hollywood stops turning things into Action films, when they don't need to be an action film.
>>
>>50286248
When you make it.
>>50286251
>Adarx is comparable to the best jumpmakers we have
What is wrong with you?
>>
>>50286247
He straight-up admitted as much on the IRC.
>>
>>50286251
Wow. You're special anon, really.
>>
>>50286222
No, I consider you allowed to say you don't like it. I DON'T consider you allowed to continually say 'thats a shitty reason, drop the ring already moron'.

You,ve made your case, the author has made his. You've stated you think he's an idiot, he's stated that he doesn't care.

Enough is enough. Shut up about the ring.
>>
>>50286222
People generally do that though. When Tera brought up that the Infinicon cosplay thing was a trap option for example it pissed people off but they accepted it.
>>
>>50286251
>ardax
>not literal garbage in human form
I disagree, and SJ chan is low mid.
>>
>>50286259
Ooh, oh I get it now. Nah, I just bring up Cenanon because he's the jump maker who has stepped on his crank the hardest of late. Real aggressive about it too. What Gaunlet is doing reminds me of that, unfortunately. I that Gaunlet was pretty cool before this.
>>
>>50286127
Gaunlet, don't let the shitposters get you down.

The people (and I use that term loosely) are just focusing on you because it's that time of the night and you happen to be here.

Constructive criticism about a Jump is one thing, calling you names is something else entirely. Don't let them get to you.

I, for one, think you're doing a great job. I agree that you should take some steps to keep the item from being abused by the various copy perks, but I also believe that others are going to find a way to twist things to suit themselves no matter what. Slapping on fiat instructions will cover the holes, I think.
>>
>>50286222
Maybe, yes, and yes.

Tera is a maybe because he subtly irritates me for some reason.
>>
>>50286262
Oi. Fuck you. All the wand-play was baller as fuck.
>>
>>50286298
Yeah, he makes it real fucking obvious when he samefags an attack like this.
>>
>>50286305
Didn't he already say he would do just that? Am I taking crazy pills or is it just time for me to go to bed?
>>
>>50286295
I think he's still pretty cool. One doof does not an asshole make, but I do think he's being rather abrasive when he doesn't need to be right now.

>>50286298
>implying everyone complaining is a shitposter
Get real. Maybe 2 out of 3 is the shitposter springboarding off normal posts.
>>
>>50286301
Great. I'll make sure to put in an option to offer you guys stuff from other people's jumps next time. Shouldn't be too hard to justify if this is the barrier. I assume I can expect you and your compadre's full support?
>>

422KB, 1085x999px
>>50286298
That still doesn't justify why the item is there at all. You're just advocating putting a patch over something that doesn't need to be there in the first place.

>>50286251
>Adarx is comparable to the best jumpmakers we have
Adrax is a POS. He isn't the worst that SB has to offer, but he's damn close.

>pic
Here, I know this is what you were looking for.
>>
>>50286269
>>50286277
>>50286284
You know you can still be a shitty person and put out great content, right?
>>
>>50286323
Please. I'd really like an option to let me get more CP in jumps.
>>
>>50286328
>Great content
Are you getting confused with someone else anon?
>>
>>50286116
I took the perk A Weight Upon The Brow from Sword and Sorcery and shit ton leadership perks form the various RTS Jumps so I could probably take any country I want without much complaint
But as to Divine Right not so much
>>
>>50286328
I don't think his content is all that great. Babylon 5 is allright, but it has severe otb syndrome with Psychic powers being better than everything else with prereqs to limit them you were already going to be buying anyways.
>>
>>50286323
Honestly, given the vague nature of spouses and kids, it's entirely reasonable to assume that every ring can do this.
>>
>>50286127
Can you just not? Look at the shit this item is causing. Honestly, why not just make a in universe companion buy? You've never answered that. It addresses the issues people have and proves you're not trying to game anything.

Leaving it in at this juncture just makes you look like the MEoDP guy.
>>
>>50286307
Fuck you, it would have made a damn good old-school safari style movie, but Hollywood's action fetish got involved.
>>
>>50286327
Hey, I said "best jumpmakers" not "best people". Frankly, I find his antics repulsive, but his latest jump wasn't mind-numbingly horrible.
>>
>>50286320
>I think he's still pretty cool. One doof does not an asshole make, but I do think he's being rather abrasive when he doesn't need to be right now.
We'll see. Hopefully I'm wrong and he's just having an off night. I still don't get why he's choosing to die on that hill, though.

The item just doesn't make sense, in terms of meta.
>>
>>50286374
Oh hey look at how many people go to say a documentary on imaginary animals oh wait you mean very few people did and it bombed like BvS did? Who could have guessed people might not go after the first few screenings and profits would nosedive.
>>
>>50286372
>Continuing the same personal attacks and weak comparisons that make it obvious who you are.
>>
>>50286374
Okay, yeah. That would have been great. But it doesn't make the movie any less great.
>>
>>50286377
>Wasn't mind numbingly horrible
>He's one of our best jumpmakers
What the shit is your criteria for being one of the best jump makers?
>>
>>50286377
I really can't think of a good jump he's made, to be honest. Help me out here. All that sticks out is his horrible, HORRIBLE, B5 jump. I say this as a long time B5 fan who doesn't love the B5 jump on our drive.

Adrax's B5 jump though is just hot garbage.
>>
>>50286232
Lots of people like them. The reason why people shitstorm over them is because they are divisive.
>>
>>50286385
I'm not seeing any personal attacks.
I think maybe you need to explain your points better.
>>
>>50286410
But anon that would mean he'd need a well supported and reasoned argument instead of screaming at you until you go away.
>>

5546876989809.gif
755KB, 420x314px
>>
>>50286406
So with that in mind why are we encouraging the creation of more items that exist just for wank that cause shitposting?
>>
>>50286134
He/You pressed the shitposter's conspiracy theory about Red being gone, and then suggested that Brellin and Heavensanon are the same person, another conspiracy theory authored by the shitposter.

You gotta try harder than that. Not much harder, but still.
>>
There's almost never random unprompted SB drama without the shitposter around too, by the way. That seems to be something he does too when he thinks he can't feed himself by attacking our jumpmakers.
>>
>>50286392
What are your criteria for being a good jumpmaker, anon? If a jump has good formatting, grammar and spelling, and sufficiently captures the setting enough to make me interested in it, then it's better than quite a few of the jumps on the drive.
>>
>>50286434
No anon, you said he was comparable to our best jump makers. Don't try to deflect. Tell us how his stuff (With examples please) is comparable to some of our best stuff.
>>
>>50286384
Eh. Honestly my favourite part of Jurassic Park was when they're in the ball things and go up to the Brontosauruses. Getting the whole exploration/wonder thing right is more difficult than action scenes but when done right it's pretty awesome.
>>
>>50286416
I know that's why I want it.
Because GHQjc I think can be really good, but I don't want the jump to be just another place to get free companions like the Harvest Moon jump.
Because that's all anyone ever uses that place for even though it's a comfy as fuck setting.
>>
>>50286427
I'll admit to taking the bait. That someone would call that steaming pile of chucklefuck named Adrax a great jump maker gave me incontinence of the keyboard.

I really hope that anon was just fucking around, because if someone genuinely believes that I'm ... I just don't know what to think anymore.
>>
>>50286451
Even without Blue Feather the HM jump was just half assed excuse to get Blue Feathers. It's so sparse and empty and lifeless.
>>
>>50286458
You can check right now.
She ain't gone.
>>
>>50286458
She's not. I've talked to her recently. You're a shitposter.
>>
>>50286434
Not being a chimp isn't a sufficient condition for greatness, anon.
>>
>>50286470
>>50286471
You're feeding.
>>
>>50286467
It's really too bad. I guess that's what happens when people upload WIPS by mistake.
>>
>>50286467
Eh, not really. It's got some great perks if you're into gardening or animal husbandry. It just gets noise as a jump because of BF.
>>
>>50286410

>Gaunlet I'm giving you the benefit of the doubt, but don't be SJ chan.
>If an author gives a justification, regardless of how shit it is or how little sense it makes, you have to accept it. I trust you do the same for Tera, SJ and Adarx then?
>makes you look like the MEoDP guy.
>>
>>50286481
This whole "You're a coward!" thing is another one of your hallmarks.

>>50286305
If you actually read his post, confining it to the one Jump was exactly the plan.

>>50286327
Look, Gaunlet is making the Jump. He believes there is canon material that merits the inclusion of the item. He has proven willing to work with complaints. I consider this very fair on his part.

>>50286418
Hey man, I brought pizza. Trade you a few slices for some popcorn?
>>
>>50286483
Great perks that feel very mechanical and could be much more interesting.
>>
>>50286458
She's not gone. Showed up in the IRC a few hours ago. Apparently she's been banned for asking YJ a question.
>>
>>50286493
Stop taking bait .
>>
>>50286491
>If you actually read his post, confining it to the one Jump was exactly the plan.
Really now? Where. Show us where he said that.
>>
>>50286492
I agree that it could be fleshed out more. That's fair.
>>
Ok, so just looked up /co/co/'s BA
And took the jump.
Some questions to clarify...
1- What happens if we take a stand, but already had one from Jojo's? Replacement? fusion? Null?

2- Do the children of the Atom boons, especifically the [MODE] ones, also grant PillarMen physique?, say, i could take Awaken as a [SCOPE] but still get the physical boost from CotA by taking a [MODE] option?

3- Do Remastered Stands lose their original ability?
>>
>>50286499
I'm morbidly curious.

What kind of question? And why did it result in a banning?
>>
>>50286499
Not seeing him acting like an asshole. You however are.
>>
>>50286493
Whoops, replied to the wrong post. Look at this? >>50286516
>>
>>50286526
And when you see that, stop feeding.
>>
>>50286485
None of those are personal attacks though.
Comparisons to less liked jumpmakers perhaps, but that's because they don't want Gaunlet to be like them.
Which is something I can understand and agree with.
>>
>>50285983
Now don't get me wrong but instead of just giving discounts, having enough Inferno Guides or Hogyoku treatments should unlock a power you can't take otherwise.

But it doesn't feel like Dante has Alex's power. He is just fast.
>>
>>50286512
You get two stands if you go to both jumps.
Remastered stands loose their old ability and get a new one.

I have no idea about the Atom boons.
>>
>>50286516
Since because the shitposter is a janitor.
>>
>>50286516
>What kind of question? And why did it result in a banning?
She and a few others catch bans on occasion for just posting. Our favorite shitposter has friends who are mods.
>>
>>50286559
>>50286564
Oh, I thought he meant the IRC.
>>
>>50286512
You get two Stands. They're powered by different things. JoJo Stands are the manifestation of your fighting spirit. CoCo Stands are the manifestation of your desire to attain happiness.

Not sure about the Pillarmen thing

I think Remastered stands lose their previous ability. If you've got Waveform Anatomy from Evangelion that makes your body and soul one and have Review of Evolution from Evo that lets you revert to a previous form you could probably change your stand from remastered to normal and back.
>>
>>50286588
Because he didn't say that. He's just defending Gauntlet to defend him.
>>
>>50286601
>If you actually read his post, confining it to the one Jump was exactly the plan.

He told us this. People asked him to show some proof. Apparently he's full of shit.
>>
>>50286583
Gaunlet revises things during times like this.
I'd put money on it that he's working something out.
Just take a look at Exalted Mortal discussions when it was being made.
It probably won't make everyone happy, but it's best to wait and see what the finished project will be before calling something as tame as this a shitstorm.
>>
>>50286544
Guys. Just ignore this >>50286544
He's just complaining that the jump maker didn't do what they want. His threats to shitpost until he gets what he wants should just be ignored.
>>
>>50286583
Say what you will about other jump makers, they stick around and defend their decisions and fix things.
>>
>Can't get people to argue with you anymore
>Reply to yourself every few minutes in hopes of fishing something up
>>
>>50286610
I know the jumpmaker didn't say that. It's sad that anon is making shit up to defend a bad decision.
>>
>>50286643
Oh, my bad anon. Sorry for the confusion there.
>>
>>50286628
I really hope that's not what it is.
>>
>>50286512
Two stands. Separate settings, separate sources, separate phenomenon.

No. Although, Scope Men have the same basic physical abilities as Pillarmen, as the big trade-off is switching a unique [MODE] for [QUALITY]. Is that unclear?

They do.
>>
>>50286646
Nah, it's cool.

>>50286628
Are you just assuming or did you see that? If that's what's happening, that's utter horseshit.
>>
>>50286639
I agree, but there's a few ways to go about it.
Removing it entirely for a normal companion import or just limiting it to in jump are two of them.
Personally I'd rather he just dropped it entirely so this will fucking stop, but then people will just bitch that he caves under pressure.
>>
>>50286251
SJ is poor. Led Mis has no balance and a lot of the options are insanely out of place given the source material.

There's a perk that sort of makes you a werewolf and another that costs 500 CP and makes you good at finding prostitutes.

It's like reading a jump by a tera that can spell.
>>
>>50286666
If he gets rid of it, the bitching fades over time. If he doesn't, it'll come up everytime someone brings up the jump.

People haven't argued over RWBY companions giving cp in future jumps for years now since Clover removed that. Yet it was basically a monthly thing when it was in.
>>
>>50286673
I like her Equilibrium jump.

>>50286666
People will bitch in the moment, but we'll be saved aggregate bitching as opposed to him leaving it in in some capacity.
>>
>>50286683
I'm not going to weigh in one way or another, I just really hope you're incorrect, anon.
>>
He always uses personal attacks against other jumpmakers to wrap back around to his one true hateboner, huh?
>>
>>50286673
Eh. With the exception of Lost Odyssey, her jumps have been decent past GUP.
>>
>>50286722
>Decent
If you mean "Decent after a few hours of arguing with her until she gives up and removes the super broken meta shit in her jumps" then maybe yeah.
>>
>>50286717
Yes, he does.

Jumpers, what's your favorite type of alcohol and when do you typically enjoy it? Personally I find a little brandy goes well with building a Dyson sphere.
>>
>>50286732
Rubbing.
>>
>>50286656
>Is that unclear?
Not...really.

I mean, of course they would be mutually exclussive. But when talking of perks...
>>
>>50286683
I think it's probably the best option. JC does tend to get posters who will refuse to compromise in any manner and refuse anything that doesn't fit their personal view of how jumpchain should be. Hopefully next time it comes up people will be more reasonable.

It's nowhere near finished and absolutely everything may be subject to change, but I've finally put everything I have so far mostly in order and it's finally starting to resemble a jump, so here, I'd like feedback on what's there. Any critiques, suggestions, or ideas are appreciated.

Yeah bullshit. Basic research points out that Heavens was active for months before Brellin tried his hand at jumpmaking. So what you're insisting is that Brellin decided to come over here using a different pseudonym, but then abandon it for his own, then go over to using his own name for two jumps, one of which got rejected. With him only learning it got rejected and throwing a quick fit over it when he came by with the first.

Conspiracy theorists have more straightforward and intuitive delusions than you.

Yes sort of. You can kind of direct it. "Front load the pain" was the term used.

But even then, magic takes a sort of toll on the lives of mages over time. But that's mostly just in the jump. It's not going to do make you miserable for the rest of your chain.

>>50286921
Yeah, I was thinking about that. Right now I'm leaning towards having the potential for magic be free as almost anyone can do some, but buying the capstone gives both training in doing so and drastically more inherent talent and power.

Comments:

>The Fog of Ages (400 CP, Discount Monster and Guide)
Way too expensive for what it does. Not an argument for interjump balance here, just looking at the jump itself. You've priced perfect memory at the same price as immortality, and it's nearly as expensive as your capstones. Don't get me wrong, I like the perk, but the pricing is way off.

>Con Man
Plans for 100 and 200 point perks? All I'm seeing right now is a 400 and some capstones.

>Psychic
Is this going to be a tree or a perk? There's a discount for psychic, so I'm just curious what direction you're taking that.

>We're Friends, Right? . . . (with a few exceptions, see the notes.)
Curious to see what those exceptions are.

>Tone
Nailed it. There are enough direct references and quotes from JLD and DC magic books that this really made me smile. I'm not sure how you're going to field questions about magic, as a long time reader I get the balance between power and sacrifice but I feel you'll need to qualify that a bit more for others. Leave it a little nebulous, but give people some plain language direction.

Was this one going to have any of the mythological characters in it, ala amazons, greek gods, demigods, etc, or will that be more the purview of the generic DC magic jump?

All in all this is great and it really has me excited. Thanks, CJ.

Hit up the quest runner for GHQ. He's popped in here before, so brain storming with him wouldn't be a horrible idea.
>>
>>50287115
It would work fine, you just need to be able to distinguish different backgrounds and have them be based on tendencies rather than characters. The impetus, overall conflict, the scale of it all would be pretty different, but in a way it's similar to SimAnt.

You'd want to infuse your writing with a good deal of character to convey the specific atmosphere to bring out that sense of nostalgia, but otherwise the setting itself has plenty of character to distinguish itself, and the wide variety of toys opens up a good deal of potential as far as "individual customization" goes. Same deal with items too. If you're looking for deeper concepts, Toy Story brushes over some of them, especially with the "timeskip" between the first movie and the later ones.
>>
>>50287173
the odd one out there is Wall-E, so obviously we need two or three. One medieval, one modern, and one futuristic.
>>
>>50287158
Being insult by someone telling you to go to SB is like being insulted if someone calls you black when you are.
>>
>>50287022
It varies depending on the character and the writer. There are some consistencies, though: most magicians can do do some basic effects with just a gesture and occasionally some chanting in a dead languag being thrown in there. More complicated effects tend to need rituals, drawn out chants, magical props or ingenredients, symbols drawn everywhere, etc.

And some people have specific gimmicks to their magic like Zatanna's backwards magic.

>>50287034
If you try to do that, you'll almost immediately be killed again. This is actually something that happens: Deadman repeatedly gets revived and immediately dies.

>>50287050
Thanks.

>>50287073

>Is this going to be a tree or a perk? There's a discount for psychic, so I'm just curious what direction you're taking that.
Missed that. It was originally going to be an Origin, but I replaved it with Guide.

>Curious to see what those exceptions are.
Mostly the one-offs like Amethyst or the really powerful or strange beings like Phantom Stranger, Pandora, Swamp Thing, etc.

>Nailed it
Thanks.

>I'm not sure how you're going to field questions about magic
Me either. I'll figure that out eventually. Going to try along the lines of what you suggested.

>Was this one going to have any of the mythological characters in it, ala amazons, greek gods, demigods, etc, or will that be more the purview of the generic DC magic jump?
This is for New 52 magic stuff alongside JLD like Constantine, Trinity of Sin, and Frankenstein. After this, I'll work on the pre-52 version of the magic side/old school Vertigo. Finally, if I ever get around to it, I'll make another jump about the Mythological side that has stuff about Wonder Woman, Captain Marvel and Aquaman and the like.

So I have a problem that I struggle with, /jc/, and I'd like someone to lend an ear to me on this. This is entirely from a writing perspective, not a 'meta' or 'proper build'.

I seem to lack whatever determination a lot of triple-digit Jumpers have because I lose motivation or care for the character themselves a few jumps in. I think this has a lot to do with both the timeframe and that, unless you're going in a particular order, even a horribly unoptimized Jumper can snowball out of control with outside context power.

This works fine for Jumpchain as a CYOA, but I find it increasingly difficult to write about the Jumper themselves or see things from their perspective, which is why I usually play them off as flawed or at least impulsive when I write about them. The fact ten jumps alone is a century at minimum contributes a lot to this - writing about an ancient character as backstory is easy, but building them to that point feels hard to wrap my head around. And then I pass out on the keyboard and dream about going on adventures with a talking foxcat.

Would anyone have tips on handling this, or at least better visualizing it, and keeping the character/Jumper interesting?
>>
>>50287169
Maybe keep the ring and give it a different purpose? Maybe let it link your spiritual energy with the one you give it to and let you send them your spiritual energy to use and vice versa?

>>50287173
While I would prefer individual jumps for them the idea of a setting where you have the toys from Toy Story in a house, the ants from Bugs Life outside, the fish from Finding Nemo in the ocean and everything else would be an interesting place to visit.
>>
>>50287242
Put in a 0cp drawback. There. Now we can have individual jumps AND a connected world.

Have you ever read Elminister: The Making of a Mage?

I know, Ed Greenwood gets tons of shit and Elminister is the achetype of the Mary Sue DMPC. The Making of a Mage book is pretty good, though, as it follows Elminister through his youth as he lives out all these different lives. All of those disparate experiences add up to make the bigger than shit Elminister character that everyone hates.

It's older, the book that is, so a library should have it or you should be able to get it dirt cheap on Amazon.

Beyond that, though? I just slowly build my story. I don't build for muh powers. I don't build for crazy shonen plots. I know what my jumper looks like at the end of her journey, so I just build that brick by brick, story by story.

I said this last time I answered you and I'll say it again: you don't always have to crank it to 11. You don't have to always escalate. Good stories heave peaks and valleys, they ebb and flow. Take your time and enjoy the ride.

Read that Elminister book while you're at it, it's a quick easy read.
>>
>>50287235
I don't think anyone can really tell you how to maintain interest in a chain, partly because everybody finds different approaches interesting, and partly because the chain is really a self driven narrative given by a prompt.

When you start off with an objective, you have two choices when you reach that objective - you can accept that it's done and just wonder what happens next, or you can set another objective. This is true whether you're jumping or whether you're jumpmaking.

In the past, working with a chain that was 200, 300 jumps long, I still had an overarching narrative - so personally there was always a floating objective that could remain out of reach. There were still relationships that could be explored between individuals. Other long jumpers like to handle it differently.

The whole aspect of realism as far as "how do immortals/extremely long life span individuals think" becomes a question that you can't ever answer, and the longer you ponder on it, the more you're going to run into the "I can't do this" dilemma. Simply put, no one has lived to that point. We can guess, we can assume, we can extrapolate, but nobody has ever been there and documented what happens. If that's the case, then unless this is specifically what interests you, you probably shouldn't be too engrossed in it.
>>
>>50287340
Honestly, our own insanity is the only thing keeping our jumpers sane.
>>
>>50287235
In my writing experience the simplest way to handle a very long-lived character is to base their actions and responses on a few key events. Don't try to sift through 500 years' worth of experiences, it's pretty much impossible to do that. Instead, examine the character's past and note particularly impactful and important events which have occurred to them as a character. Use these as a starting point to determine how that character would respond to situations and circumstantial stimuli. This is how people typically function. You don't remember every single thing you did last month or last year. But if you got into a car crash or somebody you were close to died then you'd remember that even years later. Use this to draw parallels and develop the character based on a handful of significant events instead of trying to consider everything that's happened to them.
>>
>>50287235
Maybe try and write it more from the view of the world the jumper is in? What would the general reaction be to someone killing an Endbringer with what looks like a backhand. How would the heroes/villains of Young Justice deal with the knowledge of something as powerful as Comics verse Darkseid existing and the knowledge that there is something on earth capable of fighting him. At a certain point a jumper simply showing how strong they are can upend an entire setting and lead to the villains having to deal with the fact that they will never be able to win, the heroes feeling like they've been sidelined by the sheer capabilities of the jumper and etc.

I think people tend to overlook the fact that every jump gives you new memories unless you always go Drop-In

That immediately gives you a connection to the world you're currently in and depending on the Background you choose that can be a lot of memories, for example Earths Mightiest Heroes says that an Asgardian's starting age is 20+1d8 multiplied by 100 even for Late Chain Jumpers that's a fuckload of time if you take it as your second or third that can be completely overwhelming.

When you enter a Jump you basically just wake up one day, having led a seemingly normal life up until that point, and just remember that you aren't a 12 year old Hufflepuff student you are a 3000 year old Extra-Dimensional Monstrosity how does that effect you how do you look at the family you have in that jump now that you know what you really are?

First off, look at this when you consider everything: http://bleach.wikia.com/wiki/Regueldo

Now to explain? I will need 14 words I will have my trusted friend know so as me and my Ressureccion become something new, he says them to me. Then I will become his "friend". What I then need is location, to await the new moon.

Fullbringers evolve by having powers of more fullbringers. And their powers are hollow in nature. They can also transfer the powers to someone if they want... And Ressureccion's Zanpaktou is what contains a Hollow's power.

Also Spooky is a Jojo fan

Experiment more with hues and colors of the perks and stuff for the jump.
The title image makes the whole document display weird on mobile devices.

Drop-In's first perk seems too strong, and saying without immunity to physical damage Auditor would lose quickly isn't exactly an answer, because when Auditor had it, Hank couldn't hurt him at all until the Halo gave him a new power. That being said, from what I read on wiki and remember seeing... Auditor might not exactly be immune, his black flames are simply obscuring his true body making it hard to tell where exactly to shoot to actually hit him, and he could be just teleporting Right before he is hit to make it look like it disperses him but doesn't really damage him.

all these perks seem like you just noted down everything I said when you were trying to think of how to balance origins. Word for word. Not saying it's bad thing, it actually is making me chuckle

I do, however, think that Auditor should be a 200 cp Origin, while Protagonist origin should be the drop in, as it literally focuses on skill or the like and keeps you as you, while Auditor created improbability drive, drove the plot and is Final boss of everything. And that Hank origin should have the ability to charge things with "electricity" as Hank did. Maybe

Items could include that chamber that modified Hank.

You sir. Are a madman. I approve. Also I'm making an obsession with this plan be one of the flaws now.

Also:

The Hunter's Cross [600]:
[Description: pic related] An artifact of exotic make that allows a spiritually aware person to collect and manipulate spirit particles as if you were one of the Quincy line. This allows one to fire blasts of spiritual energy at little to not cost to oneself, utilized techniques only used by the Qunicies, and acts as a battery for simply massive amounts of energy. With the correct understanding of spirit particle theory and Quincy Magic you could even produce more of these granting the copies to those you wish and allowing them to utilize these self-same features. Allowing the use of the Qunicy art, but none of its downsides, en mass.

Her name is Seryu, and she's a total bitch. She claims to be all about justice, but her justice is that the Empire is good and anyone who opposes it is evil. This is to the point where she slaughters prisoners who are helpless to defend themselves, as well as to the point where the imperial forces themselves don't trust her. She's also hypocritical, claiming to fight fairly as a servant of justice while in actuality fighting as dirty as she possibly can. She went as far as to basically kick one of the rebels while they were down, mocking their mentor's heroic sacrifice and death and saying they deserved it for being rebel scum. The worst thing is that she genuinely believes all this is correct, and can't fathom the idea that the Empire has become corrupt, that her heroes and mentors were psychopaths, and that she's just as cruel and nasty as she thinks the rebels are.

It becomes fully sad when the kids who she had been playing soccer with before on multiple occasions wonder where she is.

I've taken Elodie and Louise both under my wing. I have companions, and now I have daughters. No waifus though. That's just not how I roll.
>It's Just Me (1000)
Yeeeeah considering some of the alt forms I've got, this is probably necessary. Especially considering some of them can be inherited.
>Gentle Hands (Free, Caring)
Very helpful to be able to project care toward those I address, especially when it involves raising a couple of kids.
>Because I Love You (Free, Caring)
Pairing this with Gentle Hands should do quite a lot too. Though I can't help but feel that taking perks to raise a kid is kind of cheaty, but that'll come in handy later when they start displaying things.
>Rest Your Head (900, Caring)
Not everyone stays healthy all of the time. It's important to be able to care for them, especially when I don't intend to cheat my way through things, but let them have a semi-normal childhood.
>You Be Good, Now (700, Caring)
Very important, to be able to motivate with just a few words.
>You Made Them Cry (400, Caring)
Fear the wrath of an angry parent.

>A Steady Hand (300)
The real secret behind parenthood (and adulthood, frankly): fake it 'til you make it.
>Leave It To Me! (200)
Hey, it works for Dumbledore. He's still headmaster, too, even if he retired his other positions. After all, Voldemort got turned to ash and his soul forced to move on, fifth year.
>Uncles, Aunties, and Nannies (0)
Gaia, Carbon, Imaginos, Breach, Ceci, Haruka, Hart... man, these two kids are going to have quite a family raising them. Especially when Carbon and Imaginos are clones of me.

>"What... you're back. You're still you... you're still on your journey? How?"
"Hey, Lulu. Yeah. Yeah, I uh... it's been a while, I'm back for a while. Meet the twins?"
>"Twins... who's their-?"
"It's complicated, but I adopted them. They've had a childhood already, but they weren't really the best... and so they're getting a do-over. They'll remember when they mature."
>"Pink hair... and I never thought I'd see you again. Why here, though?"
"Honestly? Because of all the worlds I've been to... this is one that I remember the most fondly. I can raise them both mundane and magical, get them ready for their inheritance. They're both going to be witches, and in time, they'll be much more."
>"Mm. Silly. You know, I've never seen you with this many nargles following."
"Hah. I missed you terribly, you know, Lu. I wish I could have convinced you to come with me."
>"It's not what I'm meant to do. But I'm glad to see you again. I thought you'd forget me and I'd never see you again, after you left yesterday."
"A day, thirty thousand years... Lulu..."
>"After all this time... you came back to me."
"Always."

Cue the Harry Potter theme music.

"Oh, right, sorry. --wait. Lee Dursley? I see what you did there, double-oh-seven."
>"Ha! Too right, started as a joke in uni, but it grew on me. Didn't expect you to move here, though. You, uh..."
"Yeah, I've retired from my last job a while... sorry, a month ago, sometimes hard to keep the time since I started taking care of the twins. You remember Hermoine, I think? She took my spot. I don't mean to be rude, come on in, won't you?"
>"Thanks. Haven't seen you since you came and visited a few times with mum and dad when you were... what, seventeen?"
"Yeah, things got hectic, but I couldn't turn down an invitation for tea. Hope she and Vernon are well."
>"Well, dad had a bypass last year, but he's doing better. Slimming down a bit. Didn't realize you were the type to retire young, I suppose you must have done well for yourself?"
"Mm, I'll have to drop in and see them if they'll have me, glad Vernon is on the mend. And yes, it paid well enough but it was temporary. I can't just sit on my laurels and be bored, though, I'll be taking a job as a professor in the autumn. Was schooling while I did the other - I have a teaching certificate to boot."
>"In Scotland at the school for the gifted that Harry went to, yeah?"
"Yes, that would be the one, if you've ever got questions about it, feel free to give me a ring. And here come the terrors now. The one on the left is Louise, her sister is Elodie- waitwaitwait Elodie stop! That's a good girl."
>"Hoo boy, I bet you have your hands full. Their mum...?"
"She... well, it's a little complicated but she's not here anymore."

"Good morning, ladies and gents!"
>"Good morning, professor Cross."
"Very good. Welcome to History! You may have noted that Professor Binns has no longer moved on - apparently, all it took was someone getting an O on their history NEWT and showing him, as last term proved! But the fact remains that Hogwarts' history classes has been notoriously terrible. Headmaster Dumbledore is confident that putting someone in charge of the class that has a pulse should bring the average history grade up past a T, but as a treat, he's hired me to teach it! Yes, you have a question?"
>"Yes sir, er... weren't you minister for magic?"
"Ah! Very good indeed, yes, I was! Take a point for Slytherin, because that's recent history. I succeeded minister Scrimgeour, and was succeeded by minister Granger-Weasley, Merlin help her because she's buried in paperwork now. But I felt I could do much more good here at Hogwarts, and they did after all need a couple of classes covered, as you'll see. Now, for those of you who have heard of how this class was taught... yes, I WILL in fact be covering much more than goblin revolts, though those WILL be relevant. Yes, you there in the back?"
>"Sir, uh, didn't you retire because you were caught having an affair?"
"And that's one from Ravenclaw, because that's a personal insult. Even if I had, it would be no one's business, but no, I retired to take care of my daughters who are with me here at Hogwarts, though they're only a year old at this point."

"It's six in the morning! What are you girls doing in my bedroom?"
>"They came!" "We got our letters!"
"Oh, is that so? Let's see here... mm, yep, from Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, to Louise Cross and Elodie Cross, in pink upstairs bedroom. Congratulations, girls, it looks like you're witches!"
>"Yaay!" "Can we go get our wands?" "Please, please?" "Pretty please?"
"You two... goodness, calm down! How about you girls clean up and get your showers while I make you breakfast, then we'll go to Diagon? The sun's not even done rising yet!"

Age 11:
>"Cross, Elodie!"
>... "Hmmm. Quite the drive to prove yourself... to make your father and sister proud, eh? Oh my, and... I see, I see, casting yourself into the cosmos without knowing the end, that takes quite the courage. Better be... Gryffindor!"
>"Cross, Louise!"
>... "Ah, so much like your sister. She wants to prove herself to you, just as you want to prove yourself to her. More studious, but... turning your back on the world you knew for something better in the blind eternities. Yes, you belong with your sister in... Gryffindor!"
At the staff table, I'm applauding as loudly as anyone at the Gryffindor table is. Somehow, it doesn't surprise me that the girls have both ended up in Gryffindor... even if some of their classmates are curious about their pink hair. After all, they're familiar sights around the castle since they've all but lived here during term for the last decade, but not as students.

>"Daaad!" "Professor Longbottom sent us to get you, there's a problem on the seventh floor!"
"What, really? ...hm, very well. Class, we'll be ending early, you are to kindly head back to your dorms with all due haste and I'm serious about this, no lolligagging, straight to your dorms. And study chapter seven, the girls just saved you from a quiz and I know which of you have NOT been studying, that means you, miss Weasley and mister Malfoy!"
>"How did he..."
"I see everything. You don't even know. Speaking of, straight back to your dorms, that is NOT a joke and if you do otherwise I WILL know and it'll be a week of detention. Girls? I want you to head back to your dorms."

>"You know it is."
"I handled it. I handled -him- personally. I -banished- him to the afterlife. This shouldn't be possible."
>"I know. But it doesn't lie. It's either him, or someone using his mark."
"Son of all of the bitches. Neville, you've got seniority, it's your call. What do you think, call the old guard?"

My blood ran cold. "Oh no. Oh no no no. Hermoine, we found Irma Pince dead outside the Room of Requirement, and she was Marked."
>"What kind of marks did she have?"
"No, I mean Marked. Capital M, as in morsmorde. As in the war that never happened... Sweet Christ. How bad is it at Azkaban?"
>"It... look, I know you said you have rules, but we need extra hands. Badly. We've taken so many casualties... can I give you some red robes?"
"Get me six sets... no, four red, two blue, I'm sure hitwizards would be in on this and I'll send myselves. I'll call my people as well. Hermoine, tell me, how bad is it?"

>"Yes, but-" "Dad, we're not JUST kids!"
"You're supposed to have a normal childhood!"

"I... I'm proud of you girls. I don't want you to... not yet. Okay? But I know how these things go. Look, I want you to keep your lightsabers on you from now on. Just keep them on your belt under your robes, okay? I don't want you getting in trouble, but... if something crazy happens, I want you to defend yourselves. Remember, shields will work against the sabers, but if they're shielding you should be leaving."
>"Yes, papa." "What about... you know?"
I exhale a sigh. "I... really don't think you two are ready for that yet. I'll let you start carrying the backup wands for now, okay? The thestral wands."
>"All right." "We've... had another thought, though. The way things are going... I think we should start thinking about the mundane world."
"Hmm? That's unexpected, what do you mean?"

"Now then. Gentlemen, welcome to History of Magic class, and it is time for a pop quiz! Only one question, and it is pass/fail: If Voldemort died in '81, '96, and 2019, and those three Voldemorts have about forty seconds to live because they're getting their asses handed to them by a couple of teenage girls- yep, there goes one right now, good form, Elodie!- which of you would like to just walk away and NOT get cut to ribbons when the girls don't have any Voldemorts left to slow them down? --oh, Avery, that curse is creative, but time's up, and the Voldemorts are dead."
>"Kill them! Sweet Merlin, kill those monsters!"
"Now, now, that's not very polite, Mr. Crabbe. I'm afraid you you have failed your quiz. Detention for you all."

The remaining three years went by in an eyeblink. One of the Death Eaters actually DID walk away from that mess - Bellatrix, of all people! - and came and confronted me personally. And I offered her absolution. Which, after raging and screaming and attacking me without a wand and breaking down crying, she accepted. I fixed the ravages of time, gave her a new face and a new name, worked on healing her mind, and let her go to establish a new life for herself.

The girls graduated with near-perfect marks in their classes. And while they were a little bit tempted to stay behind, they decided to stay and travel with me. And yes, their plans to break down the barrier between mundane and magical worlds were in progress. I'll have to stop there after my travels are done to see how it works out, but it looked promising.

Luna still declined to go. Hermoine divorced Ron and ended up moving in with her, hilariously. Ron kind of shrugged that off; he deserved it considering he was paying next to no attention to his marriage and was basically never home. He'd joined the Chudley Cannons, before an injury forced him off his broom. He was a much more effective coach and they actually became a force to be reckoned with.

That would be me.

Basically in GHQ we've seen one solid interaction of Hollow and Qunicy energies in the same body. A German Qunicy tried to fuck Kaizar up and Kaizar coated him in Mucus, it's a power of his. The interaction between the energies of the nano-Hollows within the mucus and the Quncy erased the Quncy in an instant. Everything down his physical body... gone.

Spookyng has stated that a Quincy Cross would be worthy of the Drop-In origin, and that with a little work it could even be mass produced. I'm going with this and with the knowledge of the fact that by GHQ Canon as I know it Qunicy + Hollow (Without this particular Cross) = Mutual Annihilation Field. The poster who is questioning this is a guy who has read this >>50287736 as saying that any cross will work, which I will speak with Spookyng about over the weekend as he's been nice enough to give me some times when he's open for conversation. Until such a time back to work for me!

Sorry for being such a spammy motherfucker, I didn't expect to write 20k of text but before I knew it... yeah. No pastebinning, though. We're in autosage, no harm to it.

>>50289117
The tl;dr of Harry Potter: I went Gryffindor, sat with Hermoine in the girl's bathroom when she was crying her eyes out at being bullied, abused being a jumper to ensure we were safe until Harry and Ron knocked out the troll, befriended the two, and the plot went as scheduled from that point.

Fifth year, Umbridge was dealt with by Snape and veritaserum, then obliviated and a few compulsions given. Basically she ended up being toothless. When everyone went to the Ministry to save Sirius, we actually kept him from dying (accio + telekinesis = no veil), and I hit Voldemort with a magical purification blast to send the soul in his body to the afterlife.

Never bothered with the horcruxes aside from the diary, though, because I figured without the main body nothing could happen. Didn't expect followers outside of Azkaban to try something, and then purposefully get themselves possessed by the slivers of soul that were left. Major oversight.

>>
>>50289174
Oh, and Dumbledore didn't die. Dumbledore, Fudge, Luna and Umbridge saw me hit Voldemort with the purification blast, it was undeniable that Lord Thingy was back and gone again and it was just buried. Umbridge was sacked pretty much immediately, Harry had a normal couple years after that.

Dumbledore ended up focusing on the school with the threat of Voldemort ended and was just headmaster. When Parenting ended he was talking about retiring.

After dealing with Voldemort, Harry Potter taught the girls how to duel. And then why not to, and how to fight instead. Major difference. So... yeah, Voldemort still met his end at Harry's hand, in a roundabout way.

So guys what do you think of this?

A Diary, an Obsession [+300]:
A diary written by a madman. A plan that requires absolute insanity. And you, the Jumper for the job. You have, on your person at all times a book within which a set of instructions has been writ. These instructions are as follows:
“What I need is a Sword of Rebirth.
What I need is a trustworthy friend. He must be someone capable of controlling his own desires. He must be someone who is not interested in political power, fame, wealth, or sexual desire, and who chooses the will of God before the law of humans.
What I need of 36 Manifestation Artists.
Then I need to have the courage to destroy my Sword. It's pieces will be absorbed by their souls and become something new, something different and yet the same.
I will need 14 words I will have my trusted friend know. So that as me and my Sword become something new, he says them to me. Then I will become his ‘friend’.
What I then need is a location, a Valley set on the Precipice, to await the new world.
From there Heaven will come.”
However you got this diary and the plan within it is up to you, but the madman who perpetuated this insanity has done something like this before and it’s results shook Soul Society once before. Now you, an outsider and perhaps even a Hollow, move to see the plan through its steps and the first worrying signals of this movement will send the Shinigami into a frenzy. Expect visitors for they’ll be sending at first a squad of Second Division Shinigami to stop you at first and resistance will just raise more flags.
But if the reward is Heaven isn't it worth it?

I'm thinking about putting it in what do you guys think?
>>
>>50289551
First off, I like the idea of this meaning there was a Dio expy who came so close to achieving 「Heaven」that he left a permanent scar on the Soul Society. Secondly, I like it, but out of curiosity, does succeeding in the plan actually do anything? Obviously it won't grant me 「Heaven」level powers, but would it actually do anything?
>>
>>50289551
Wait, I thought that was just a joke. Did this guy seriously just rip off Jojo?

Is there any benefit associated with completing this? If so, I don't think it should be a thing.
>>
>>50289578
Pretty sure it was just a joke. I still want it to be in the actual jump though.
>>
>>50289585
If it's a joke with no basis in the series, it definitely shouldn't get into the jump.
>>
>>50289551
Sounds good. Maybe say that eventually captain class shinigami will be sent to kill you and it will escalate further.
>>
>>50289586
To be fair, I said pretty sure. I haven't actually read the series myself, so don't know if they referenced it in the quest.
>>
>>50289586
If you haven't read GHQ you're probably not the best person to give their judgement on these things. I personally think it's fine and I like the idea.
>>
>>50289610
Is it or is it not a thing that is present in the series?

Also, get off your high horse. Being familiar with a series has never, ever been a requirement for feedback in these threads.
>>
>>50289576
>>50289578
>>50289586
It was a joke as stated in his ask, the reason Spookyng didn't follow it is because...
"Good heavens, no.
I just like having fun and JoJo way too much.
But the one true reason I don't want to do it is that I couldn't sleep well knowing I stole from Papa Araki.
I work with Bleach because I see untapped potential and missed opportunities.
I couldn't do JoJo justice and I don't dare trying to copy perfection."

The obsession is supposed to be a drawback. With every time you go to do anything Soul Society bugs the fuck out because they don't want it to happen for reasons. Nothing will happen if you do it as it's a drawback, you think something will happen but it's all a big wild goose chase. It's also a plan that the thread has brought up over here and there quite a few times.
>>
>>50289620
So...it's not actually something that happens in the series aside from people making some jokes here and there? I dunno man. We did just go through a big fuss over you putting in stuff that doesn't really make sense.
>>

It'd be even funnier if you did it and ended up summoning the local version of Dio, who managed to gain the equivalent of the World over Heaven only to get killed by the local equivalent of Jotaro. You brought Heaven alright. And now he's here to remake ZA WARUDO, so have fun fighting him. Oh, that might make for a good expansion, having him show up in exchange for the drawback being 600cp. Maybe with some chink in his armor (so to speak) so he doesn't just win instantly? I'm mostly kidding, though the idea IS amusing.
>>
>>50289620
Maybe just stick to the quest instead of this meme stuff or whatever. It's pretty dumb.
>>
Actually, this reminds me of a question I've been meaning to ask: why wasn't Pucci at the mansion with DIO? I mean, you could say that DIO had him go somewhere else just in case something went wrong, but he's so arrogant there's no way he ever thought he would lose once he had The World. So what gives?
>>
>>50289654
It's not a meme or anything. In this case the plan is something that people doing the quest have brought up as a possible plan to do. This is like a drawback that references something a creator planned for a series or added in a non canon side series. There are plenty of other jumps with drawbacks that were put in for similar reasons and I think it's an interesting drawback with good story potential.
>>
>>50289654
Gaunlet is literally Cenanon's disciple. C'mon, anon. Pay attention -- it was revealed in the last chapter of the IRC arc.
>>
>>50289690
People. Is this 'random people bringing up things as a laugh' or is this 'the creator and runner of the quest has said this is one possible path people can take, which will lead to a Jojo crossover?'?
>>
>>50289692
I really wish someone was writing this stuff down since the beginning.
I bet the history of /jc/ could actually be worth reading as a story rather than just to keep up with what's happening.
>>
>>50289684
Pucci had his own shit to do, and was a priest in America, you can't expect him to spend all of his time hanging around in Egypt being a vampire's fuckboi. Giorno's mom is a similar case in that she wasn't there despite having plenty of reason to be around, Dio fell for her, and then she fucked off back to Italy, in her case though I suppose because fuck egypt.
>>
>>50289698
You don't get anything from doing it. Its just a reference to peoples discussions on what to do in the quest and apparently something that comes up often. It's an interesting drawback that doesn't introduce anything non canon and I don't really understand why you're against it.
>>
You know how I've been imaging a few jumps lately? Well I was recently hit hard by inspiration and now I've written a jump and imaged it. Enjoy!
>>
>>50289620
It looks like an cool drawback but I'd wait a day or so for any useful discussion because I think some anons are still triggered about the wedding ring thing. I definitely like it though.
>>
>>50289744
Looks good, but you're missing a "Jesus Christ, Raimi, you can't say shit like that!" drawback. For reference, it takes that one minor joke about gays and runs with it, modifying other lines into racist/homophobic/sexual/blah blah blah shit. It was fairly popular joke as I recall.
>>
>>50289744
Cool. Owning my own newspaper agency is something pretty useful. Is it like the Company in that you'll be able to easily become the owner of a similar newspaper agency in a future jump? I just like the way you've handled owning a business in a future jump.
>>
>>50289790
Did I not say that? Yes, it's like the company. It's an option you don't have to take every jump, but if you do you can get your own newspaper agency.
>>
>>50289797
Sounds good. Plenty of jumps where I'd want my own news agency to ensure the public actually gets non biased information. It'd be good for the Daily Prophet in Harry Potter to have a competitor.

>Does extra limb harness suffer from the flaws it did in the movies?

>who else is going to take water for Demolecularized and Dive into the ocean?

>Does the amazing target scale with our power?
>>
>>50289853
Doesn't that perk list multi story form as the upper end of what you could become with that?
>>
>>50289873
Yes for how much you can use at once, but remember that you can take more on as you get damaged. basically my plan is to play Poseidon.
>>
>>50289853
No, it doesn't have the flaw, as indicated by the control chip being safely ensconced inside.

You could dive into the water, but as >>50289873 said there is a limit on the size you can get to. Healing from it... yes, but it would still tire you out over time, to keep doing that again and again.

It will be annoying regardless of your power, but doesn't scale on a purely power front. You won't be introducing planet busters just because you are one, but you also can't just ignore them, because they'll end up with esoteric powers that somehow manage to let them mess with you.
>>
>>50289895
>That it can change over onto a different outfit is also fine.
Does this mean it can transform into other clothes or that it can be moved into a different outfit?
>>
>>50289895
are you limited to solid things for Demolecularized?Could I for example become a living tornado by going with air ?
>>
>>50289981
Moved from outfit to outfit. The movie suit did form Venom over the top of Eddies outfit though.

>>50290008
Must be a 'material'. No gasses. Air is not a valid choice.
>>
>>50290054
Does Demolecularized count as an alt form post jump or are the weaknesses it introduces permanent?
>>
>>50289981
I've just added a line saying it can form the outfit you have it on over the top of your current one, so you can pull a Venom properly.
>>
>>50290076
It's not strictly speaking an alt-form, and the weaknesses only exist when you're 'shifted' into it. Basically it's a power you can toggle, so you can pull a Sandman and be punched right through despite looking normal, but that comes with the weakness to water, so you might not want to do it all the time. I'll make that clear in the text.

What animal besides salamanders makes sense for fire-focused abilities?
>>
>>50288448
Most of my companions are OCs, I tend to not take anyone that has family or love interests.
>>
>>50290533
Phoenixes Penguin
Dogs (Hellhounds)
>>
>>50290533
Bombardier Beetles?
>>
>>50290533
If you get the fifth step beyond vast lorde maybe a bird could go into a phoenix or a lizard/snake could go into a dragon. I don't know if there's any normal animals with stuff to do with fire though.
>>
>>50288448
I NTR'ed Panty from PSG by swooping in when she was in her slump near the end of the season and being a friend when she needed it.
>>
>>50290647
I don't think it's possible to NTR Panty since she doesn't have a boyfriend.
>>
>>50288484
>Sky/Daisy/Quake in MCU
That's a service to the world. All her canon love interests are assholes.
>>
>>50290665
Also, she's smokin hot but painfully stupid. Hopefully anon can fug the dumb outta her.

Technically I NTR'd her from the plot.

And it also didn't include sex at first.

So I guess it wasn't exactly NTR?

Eh, it's a weird perspective to be honest.

What's the perk that just lets you zone out and go autopilot for arbitrarily long lengths of time? I'm going to spend 66 Million years in GHQ and need some way to not go completely nuts.

>>50290727
It wasn't NTR at all, m8. Which is good, because NTR is shit unless you're the bull. However, I do support helping out Panty, she's got a rough road ahead of her.

>ended up turning her into a classical fallen angel
Uh...

The demons in that setting seem to be stuffy and rule obsessed. Turning her into a fallen angel would probably mean you got her to give up her vices, such as non-stop sex.

I don't know if that's even possible.
>>
>>50290803
I can't talk to animals yet so, I have had a need to meet many. But just because I'm a wolf doesn't mean i don't like lions.
>>
>>50290813
I'm already arbitrarily powerful you dolt, I just want to be able to boast about being older than people's species.

>>50290816

>>
>>50290843

Do you think being able to talk to animals would end up turning you into a vegetarian?
Or, would what you learn convince you to go out of your way to eat as much meat as possible?
>>

The one in Master of Magic.
>>

I can't speak for that anon, but I'm already a vampire. If animals can talk, I'm pretty sure some of them are evil bastards.

I don't think it would change anything, I mean I'm sure we'd both know how this food chain thing works. And since I'm a jumper I'm always at the top
