No one?

It feels like going straight Phantom is kinda shafted compared to the other options, which I guess fits the source material but... I don't know. What do you think?
>>
Would it possible to choose the original draft of Evangelion as the setting via the Favorite's List drawback? It sounds really interesting, what with Gendo being the leader of the SEELE equivalent, human instrumentality being about making humans immortal and perfect, the Angels/Apostles being bio-weapons created by the First Ancestral Race, and the final battle being between the Evas and the last twelve Apostles inside the Ruins of Arka, where Gendo plans to initiate Third Impact and the secrets of the Apostles are finally revealed. That sounds like it would make for an awesome final battle, especially since it comes right after those twelve Apostles descending from the Moon and obliterating America (the continent) and Eva Unit 06, and the UN canceling the Human Instrumentality Plan and rallying to fight, live, and possibly die, as humans.
>>
So I'm going to make a reminder. My to-do list now consists of:

>Familiar of Zero remake
>Code Geass remake
>"I Want To Become An Overlord!" Disgaea DLC

Aside from the research I'll have to do for FoZ, my jump schedule is basically smooth sailing. So what better way to celebrate than to push my luck with the following tentative ideas.

How would yall feel if I said I was interested in claiming the OTHER cursed jump, Metroid or a continuation of the Madoka jump that happens DURING canon instead of before, or Rebellion or the interim period leading up to it.

When They Cry is in there somewhere, but I feel like a straight-up Umineko jump would need a hell of a twist to it.

Thoughts? None of this is official, just want to test the waters.
>>
>>50174361
FINISH YOUR EXISTING SHIT FIRST

Now that I've got the obligatory out of the way, I'd say only do this if you have any motivation and energy left after the remakes.
>>
>>50174361
The only one of those that really interests me is metroid, so plus one for that I guess?

Familiar of zero takes second place, and I don't know much about the others.
>>
>>50174361
I'd say the interim period of Madoka'd be...interesting, maybe majority of it being the new world created by Madoka's wish leading up to Rebellion proper

>>50174198
Huh. I guess I didn't do the math on that one correctly, I was having trouble blancing out everything between the different ways of Phantom stuff
Any suggestions on what'd make going straight Phantom more interesting?
>>
>>50174361
Finish what you have first. Also, work on Code Geass yourself. Don't taint the jump by asking IT for help.
>>
>>50174361
You finish all your other claims?
If so good for you!

>>50174376
A Metroid Jump would be cool. Captain N would get a wee bit more intreasting.

>>50174377
Digger do we have anything coming out of you soon? I've heard rumors...
>>
So is someone actually going to make an election jumpchain or is that just a joke?
>>
>>50174404

Out of those mentioned, I only really know Metroid. That said, I would be all kinds of excited to see a Jump for it, especially you doing one after that excellent job you did on Disgaea.
>>
>>50174361
Metroid would be cool, but honestly I'm looking forward to the FoZ and Code Geass updates more.
>>
Re-asking: For the Wheel of Time jump, does the dreamworld's complete effects carry over to future jumps like a localised pattern, or does it subsequently become just a way for you to hang out in dreams?

Also how relatively potent is the purchaseable Sa'Angreal, and how far can you customise it?
>>
>>50174404
With Keijo coming out I'm starting my work on a Generic Pornstar jump.

I know it went under the radar during that little shitshow but I figure it's worth repeating.
>>
>>50174404
Pretty sure it's a joke.

Everyone's meming hard for the election. CYOA gen's also blowing up about a possible Trump CYOA.
>>
>>50174400

I need to restore my morale a bit, but I could either finish working on Der Langrisser or start putting time into Endless Frontier, I just took a break cause NH part 2 ate up a few weeks and exams+general bullshit occurred.
>>
>>50174361
Finish what you have first, please. Once that's done, I'd say Madoka, especially if you can use the Wraith arc. I mean, use what has been translated so far.
>>
>>50174418

>>
>>50174484

I was considering the Spiritual Crafts feat, but that note about them tending to eat souls has me wary. I was thinking more along the lines of tin soldiers, model airplanes, and suits of armor with some clockworks inside. Maybe a high end Junk Bot, like the picture, as my "Eliza". Can I make more basic Golems with the perk than the soul eaters?

It's supposed to be a claydol, I think. Or at least inspired by one. I'm not sure why I saved it actually. Kinda creeps me out now that I've seen it running for a few minutes.
>>
So can an Omnitrix scan any sapient biological forms post-jump?

What's too powerful? Martians? Kryptonians?

>>
>>50174669
Holy shit, apparently.
I cobbled together the shitstains that were the first proto-Naruto and proto-Type Moon abominations
>>
>>50174361
Too lazy to quote all of these. Looks like the consensus is 'finish your shit first' and 'sure, okay, if you're up to it after' for about everything on the list. With a preference for Metroid.

Good thing that's my favorite.

I'll finish the DLC at some point in the following week or so, then take a short break and actually do some builds again.

For the Netherworld, how would yall feel about something like the NH DLC or LoT-ish when it comes to point-building said Netherworld and tackling the problems it has? Or would you prefer it to be a semi-linear adventure, just a long-ass Scenario?
>>
>>50174361
Out of all of those, my prefference order goes Madoka>Metroid>Code Geass>FoZ

Although I think you'd be happier if you worked on your novel like you said you planned too. Not knocking your jumps, but I think something like that would be more fulfilling and you'd probably be happier when all's said and done.
>>
>>50174671
When you die for continuing to bring this up to get your dick hard.
>>
>>50174694
I already flunked NaNo due to unrelated bullshit. It's my own fault, so this is me attempting to be semi-productive. I haven't exactly given up on writing, though, so that will probably be higher on my priority list as time goes on.
>>
>>50174694
Stop trying to chase off jumpmakers.
>>
>>50174691
I liked all three approaches, so honestly? Go with whatever you come up with idea-wise - part of the appeal was the difference in styles, so making your own variant would be neat. If you were up to it.
>>
>>50174710
>anon asks for a jumpmaker to focus on themselves for once and try to be happy
>"stop chasing them off"
/jc/ mentality, everyone.
>>
>>50174418
>Jumpchain as a whole is just Jumpchan's ridiculously specific fetish
>>
>>50174177

You did the follower thing thanks anon, now I won't have to leave them behind.
>>
>>50174691
Both sound awesome. Go with your preference, really.

That said, what would we actually be buying for those points in the former case?
>>
>>50174691
This Netherworld, would it be our own or would it be one that we conquered from someone else? I remember you said we would fight another Overlord as the final boss for that DLC, so I was curious if they were the aggressor or the defender.
>>
>>50174756
The plot (none of this is spoilers) is that a Netherworld is lacking an Overlord and you've been given a hastily-scribbled writ saying it's yours for the taking if you can make it acknowledge you.

That said, the Netherworld is of varying degrees of trainwreck (the more points you start out with for this DLC specifically, the worst it is) and you'll run into plenty of problems. And answering >>50174734 , those points can be redeemed to add features from aesthetics to JRPG industry to your Netherworld.

You also get increasingly colorful enemies to defeat for extra points, if you choose. Some are harder than others.

The final boss, Overlord Priere, will show up regardless to basically defeat you since you're the newest bigshot around her. Her personality, whether her original self from La Pucelle and the fighting being done as an almost cordial affair, or her power-hungry and bloodthirsty portrayal will depend on how ruthless you were up to that point. If you were somewhere inbetween, flip a coin.

That bit is tentative, mind.
>>
>>50174785
Oh, okay-
>JRPG industry
...JRPGs made by demons? That sounds...interesting.
>>
>>50174785
An important thing I need to address is that a Netherworld is about the size of planet Earth, or at least a 'flat' version if we take Makai Kingdom into account, and has an amazingly schizophrenic geography.

Thus, having it available for access at all times is a bit of a mind-numbing prospect, even for a jump that's already of an insane scale.

So, here's what I was going to do. The Overlord's Castle and a lot of its basic functions can be accessed via Warehouse freely, but little else. You can't access things beyond that...until a jump is over. Then you get a six month period you can freely explore or store things in your Netherworld (moving them in and out of the Warehouse where available) before the next jump.

For civilization imports, the castle and the landmass around it would be valid. Unless there's a 'planet import', I don't see the whole thing seeing use.

Obviously, post-chain, this restriction is gone regardless of whether you Spark or not.

Inactive companions can also hang out in the castle.

How's this sounding?
>>
>>50174785
>>50174841
Sounds overly restrictive and dedicated to making the Netherworld useless.
>>
>>50174841
>or at least a 'flat' version
Is it possible to walk off the edge and fall into oblivion? Do I need to put up a fence for my slower companions?
>>
>>50174858
Then suggest an alternative so you don't sound like you're just bitching for bitching's sake, if you actually care about the jump and aren't being contrary on a matter of principle.
>>
>>50174841
Not sure. On one hand, that does sound fair. On the other hand, I was planning on playing the role of the extra-dimensional evil overlord plotting to invade the setting, and that becomes less impressive/believable if I only have the castle available in the jump itself. Eh, do what you think is right, Heavens.
>>
What are the limits to FMA Alchemy?
Can it just transmute any substance into any other substance?
How far can a transmutation perpetuate through just clapchemy?
Would it be possible to shapeshift multiple alchemy circles on your hands for different effects?
>>
>>50174933
No idea

Mundane i.e. baseline Earthly ones, certainly. Dunno about the rest.

Something like across a room? The real trick with formulas is needing more complex ones for more complex chemical reactions I think

And yeah
>>
>>50174663
As long as it's strictly clockwork.
>>
>>50174841
>An important thing I need to address is that a Netherworld is about the size of planet Earth, or at least a 'flat' version if we take Makai Kingdom into account, and has an amazingly schizophrenic geography.
Great tracks of land.

>Thus, having it available for access at all times is a bit of a mind-numbing prospect, even for a jump that's already of an insane scale.
Yeah I'm hearing you.

>So, here's what I was going to do. The Overlord's Castle and a lot of its basic functions can be accessed via Warehouse freely, but little else. Sounds cool.

>For civilization imports, the castle and the landmass around it would be valid. Unless there's a 'planet import', I don't see the whole thing seeing use.
How big is the landmass around the castle? Small country or like one of the smaller states in the U.S.A.?

>Obviously, post-chain, this restriction is gone regardless of whether you Spark or not.
Cool cool.

>Inactive companions can also hang out in the castle.
Always a plus in my book.

>How's this sounding?
All around a decent reward.
Quick question does Disgaea regenerating world carry over. Cause that shits awesome if so.
Please tell me if you can take Overlord Priere with you.

>>50174860
Withholding judgment but why are some of your companions so slow that they might walk off an edge into oblivion?

>>50174927
Idea! Having to buy the Dimensional Gate to get access to Islands of your Netherworld, therefore having your turf be something like the ones made by that one Perk in Terraia. Just an idea but how about that Heavens-Anon?

Basically it can turn something (or a combination of things) into something of the same material and mass. So you could turn a fallen tree into a fence or a bucket of sodium and a bucket of chlorine into a bigger bucket of salt.

The one thing that cannot be done without shit going south is creating a living thing.

The other day (or possibly yesterday, who remembers?) I made a build for Steven Universe using the Qixoni Crystal from KotOR as a gem for extra dark side.

After watching more of the show and thinking more about it I figured it was a shame to pass up Gem Power as it's arguably one of the most powerful elemental perks about (given Lapis raises the sea into space using hydrokinesis).

The only way not to go into painful/potentially risky drawback territory is to go Noble instead who get the perk free but lose some physical oomph.

The physical stuff isn't really as important as the odder powers and I figure that if the upper abilities of an experiment option were much better than the Gem Power perk it wouldn't be cheaper than it (or reference being similar to the more physical Quartz).

Shame that I wouldn't be able to refer to myself as Don Qixoni anymore. Well I suppose I still could, just not here.
>>
>>50174933
It can in theory transmute any substance to any other substance. However, atomic transmutation is a lot more energy-intensive (and therefore, difficult) than molecular transmutation, so a good knowledge of the chemical compositions of everyday substances can be useful. Clapchemy can seemingly extend pretty far, not hugely but at least a couple hundred meters. Far farther, if you have alkahestry, transmutation at a distance is one of its big tricks. And yeah, you could just draw transmutation circles on the fly if you knew enough about them, effectively render clapchemy unnecessary.

You can Oversoul anything, provided you can find its spirit. One of the minor supporting characters has a grey alien for her spirit ally, even. He's actually why the Patch have their advanced technology, they've got alien ghosts teaching them.

Okay then, does anyone know of any jumps that would help with finding a t-rex ghost?

>How big is the landmass around the castle? Small country or like one of the smaller states in the U.S.A.?

It probably varies. I think something like 1984 would be the size of a small country, while smaller things would be downsized to be world-appropriate. It's, at minimum, enough landmass to comfortably hold a castle.

>Spoiler
Yes. In either personality, even.

>Dimensional Gate

Will consider, but so far it looks like the 'bottleneck' idea will work for Jumpchain purposes. I'm not jumping the gun on this, though. I'm gonna give this several days and see what other suggestions I get before settling on it.

In the meantime, I kinda want to actually build and take a break for a bit.

Saber probably would have been a little bit cooler, but I was thinking of Santa and his sleigh and that's why the whips.

I'm going more for a Toymaker approach to the jolly elf than the Russian badass from Guardians. Admittedly, he is one of the cooler Santa images.

I can't help but wonder what Odin is going to think when I get to Dresden eventually.

>>50174841
That does take some (well, all. The vague possibility of more companions is what I'm in for now.) of the wind out of the metaphorical sails in running your own Netherworld for me, even if it's understandable.

While having an entire planet Earth following you around is ridiculous, maybe you could gate in-jump access to it a little bit less? Like, you can communicate with the rest of the place to actually do your job and maybe use a gate with a convenient context-sensitive menu that lets you go do things you actually need to do (such as putting uppity vassals in their place) but doesn't let you just faff around all day. Or you can try to conquer in-jump land and (assuming you actually succeed) start calling in demons to staff your colony.

Maybe you could have the Netherworld space expand with land conquered in material realm? Or slowly expand Netherworld's available space by each year in jump? Like Generic Dungeon Builder to a lesser extent?
>>

Jurassic Park or Carnivores.
>>
>>50174423
Please correct me if I am wrong, but the Reconstructed Driver + Missing Piece + Never Gonna Say Goodbye allows you to freely access all of the Jumper Switches without purchasing them, and use them in any kind of combination you want, as long as you are using the Reconstructed Driver?

Also, if I purchase the package from the Neo-Heisei Part 1 that gives you most of Fourze's Astroswitches, can I apply this ability to freely combine and use Switches on those as well?

Also also, I absolutely love all of the work you put into these Jumps. You convinced me to start watching Kamen Rider a couple weeks ago, and I am already a fourth of the way through Fourze. Thank you all of the work you put into them.
>>
>>50175126
If we're supposed to be the Overlord of this Netherworld, I think restricting our access to it goes against the spirit of what the title and position in-jump even means.
>>
What sorts of things does magic in Shadowrun do? How does it stack up to places like Harry Potter, Dresden Files, Anima Beyond Fantasy, and Dungeons and Dragons?
>>
>>50175501

That is exactly how it works, and yes! I'm glad you enjoyed them, they were fun to make.
>>
On a scale of one to ten, how bad of an idea would it be to make Dio a "companion" with the Drop-In 600cp perk? For reference, said perk says that you have formed such a strong friendship with the character that a version of them will be in every future jump. I mean...that doesn't sound so bad?
>>
Asking again
How far does the Goblin Made Sword from Harry Potter's 'imbibe that which makes it stronger' go?
Would exposing it to adamantanium make it more durable? Could it get the anti-whitewalker properties from valyrian steel or be able to hurt Beldr from mistletoe?
>>
>>50175696
Fireball.
>>
>>50175696
Spirit summoning is nice. Also, you can cook people from the inside by microwaving them with magic.
>>
>>50175851
Fanwank it.

More seriously, the canon example and the word 'imbibe' make me think, and this is just my personal take on it, that it only works with liquids. Poke some molten Adamantium or Valerian Steel and that might work.

I don't think mistletoe, even liquefied would work though, sure it would be useful against one guy, but in general it wouldn't be made stronger by it.
>>
>>50176015
Hmm. Sounds like it's worth at least grabbing the basics for back up tricks, thank you.
>>
>>50175851
I'm honestly not sure if it works like that.
Godric's Sword grew strong enough to destroy a Horcrux after being exposed to Basilisk Venom, but is was a liquid that the sword sort of 'drank' IIRC.
Basically this >>50176084
I think the big part the 'imbibes only what makes it stronger' means that the Goblin Made Sword is essentially indestructible, and can only ever become more powerful.

If you used it consistently with that 400cp Drop-In perk from Smite, it'd become one hell of a weapon.
>>
>>50175841
>kinda stupid and meta / 10
>>
>>50176110
Is Smite pretty dangerous? Is it like the mythology versions of the gods, or is it pretty tame?
>>
>>50176156
It's a moba with God aesthetics.
>>
>>50176156
It's a little of both. Going by lore the Gods are at their actual mythic power levels, but gameplay-wise everyone is leveled off to about the same level power, and that power is kind of low. Assuming that the minions are at base mortal levels, it takes most gods two swings/shots to down a single mortal soldier in full plate armour. It's a VERY meta Jump, that focuses pretty much wholly on Gameplay mechanics over lore.
>>
>>50176097
There's some neat tricks there, yes. Personal favorites include the illusion spell that makes people think there's an entire swarm of insects on their body and biting them, the improved invisibility spell that also works against cameras and stuff, and Increase Reflexes which can actually let you do things faster than the speed of thought if given enough juice.

And if you have the time for rituals, you can do shit like cast combat or illlusion spells on people from any distance as long as you have a material links to them.
>>
>>50176084
>>50176110
Alright, thanks guys
>>
>>50176097
>>50176208
Also, while not a spell exactly, astral projection is pretty awesome to scout stuff out or talk to people over long distances.

Especially after the jump, when you don't have much to worry about in terms of other mages or spirits.

hey , I took the Shard Switch along with Cosmic mind and missing piece, it says it's too powerful to be used in a belt, but I'm looking at prototype Ranger belt from Disgaea and it's basically a giant capacitor for those kind of energies, would combining it and the reconstructed driver allow me to use the shard switch as a super mode?
>>
>>50176467
I'm not sure if making smog minions fits with the apparent theme of engineering that drop-in seems to have, but it's pretty good overall.

Also, most drop-ins are probably going to end up using chibi engineering to create (proportionately) giant robot suits during the jump.
>>
>>50176467
Looks good. A mix of villain powers and "related to the story but not in the plot" powers, that's good stuff to base a drop-in off of.
>>
>>50176466
>>50176475
Thankyou kindly.
>>
>>50176526
What >>50176533 said is why I added the smog minion to the drop-in tree.
As for the giant robot suits, you are all free to go for it. I myself would probably have more fun hanging with the robos and toys myself.
>>
>>50176467
>A toy brought to life after a certain Giga-Robo made told some visiting aliens his wish.

I think something's off here?

>Miasma Master
How big are the smogglings you create?

Apart from that, it looks good. Do we get tiny alt-forms after the jump?
>>
>>50176467
I like it so far, keep up the good work Skull Slime.
>>
>>50176583
Yep, I'll fix that.

The smogglings will be small like you in this jump, but post jump you can generate larger ones from larger quantities of smog.

yes, you will get both tiny and regular sized alt-forms after the jump.
>>
>>50176627
What's the world like outside of the Chibi-Robos? Basically like a more advanced modern day world, or a world on the brink of an environmental disaster/crisis, or what?
>>
>>50176663
The games are connected chronologically so they show the world progressing like this:

The first game appears much like a slightly more advanced modern day looking at a coming energy crisis, the second a world that has overcome both environmental and energy issues with new tech, the third a direct equal to the first does not touch on too much, the fourth has time travel and was never released in the west so I am not going to talk about that one, and the fifth one has aliens invading which is what the Chibi Warrior and Super Chibi perks will be based on.
>>
>>50174177
Would it be possible to strengthen the effects of Killing Intent if you have really high willpower or bloodlust or something from other powerks?
>>
>>50176704
Wow, that's sounds like a pretty nice world-
>Aliens invading
Wait, what. Must not be very competent aliens if a bunch of doll sized robots beat them.
>>
>>50176722
Very possible. As always, I leave cross-jump interactions mostly up to fanwank and personal judgment. Have fun with it.

I'm ending it in DeSu 2. Me, my companions, and the cast are going to overthrow Errai and end the tyranny of the Administrators. Since I'm continuing it from DeSu, that will mean that Abel is the Overlord of Bel, God is good, and I will be Alcor, the new Administrator. Together, we'll protect the DeSu multiverse from any threat that crawls out of the woodwork. I'm also going to help all the other worlds I've been in, in particular using my new found power to help 40K work out its' issues. Finally, I'm going to go back and check up on Earth, tell my family, friends, and loved ones what I have become before helping them with any issues they have before finally returning to the Heavenly Throne to start my new job.

I'll also use my newfound power to help you guys out. Maybe I'll even be a Benefactor myself. I have a Spark, the Heavenly Throne, and the Factors, after all.
>>

Thanks!

Possibly a dumb question, but if we import a ship and buy a hyperdrive for it, do we still need to grab the (free) Cockpit and Engine rooms to have it installed along with the Navigation Computer, or do both install themselves in the ship's existing bridge/engine room equivalents? Or is it just a case of "fanwank responsibly"?

> what is your end jump?
Dragon Ball Z.

I went through Xenoverse, in the Dumplin Timeline. We became (become?) friends! I mean, I took the perk specifically to become friends, but the fact that we work together and I'm marginally more competent than Trunks also helped.
Together we restored Timelines, with Dumplin mentoring underneath trainers and occasionally eating people to gain their powers, and my just stealing DNA and tech wantonly to keep up with people. Trunks did... I don't know, administrative work, whatever.
Sometimes we actually failed. You know all those times Dumplin lost in that one Saiyan mission? That's canon. All losses are canon. All PQs are canon. Time travel is bullshit. Alternate dimensions are bullshit.

But finally at the end we fixed the timeline(s). Or at least stopped the major fuckups enough so they were stable. And so I got a celebratory choice. "We should all fight together, one last time!"
It was Trunks who suggested it.

I declined.
I don't like fighting.
Instead I chose to go with Dumplin to a different timeline. A slightly dumber, more abridged timeline. And after that we just (will?) hang out on the Lookout, because we already did all this shit, and it's supposed to go a certain way anyway.
I just occasionally had to step in to stop the world from exploding.
And I might have stopped everyone from dying to Nappa for shits and giggles.

One day, Dumplin will try to consume the world.
I guess I'll have to fight, then.

>>
>>50177499
No Seekers or Snitch.
It's pretty obvious.

Make the Bludgers of something less lethal; 10 inch wide solid iron balls flying at while you're a hundred feet off the ground is heinously dangerous.

Let people use magic.
For a bunch of people who look down on Muggle fighting, their primary sport relies on a bunch of fisticuffs and physical violence.

And some fucking safety features, for fucks sake.
If Dumbles hadn't been there when Harry passed out in the third book, the story woulda ended right there.

>>
>>50177936
Did you change anything?

Actually, speaking of Dragon Ball, I kind of want to go Core timeline, but once I get to Z, there's a problem. See, I want to help out with Gohan (because let's face it, having to stay with your dad's archenemy is incredibly stressful, even if he does redeem himself and become a father figure later on), but since I don't want to go Saiyan, I also want to grab Kaioken, because that thing can increase your power by a lot, though it taxes the body. Is there anytime where it would be possible to learn that post-Saiyan arc?

Tenchi. Always Tenchi.

The Chousin Plan has always bugged me, so when it was made into an end jump that's what my chain became about: ending the Chousin Plan.

As for what happens afterward? I keep on doing what I've been doing: exploring and building. Oh, I might get the waifus preggers finally. What's an empire without some heirs? Other than that though, just keep on wandering the multiverse and establishing colonies. Where and when I find humanity, I help them out as best I can, but I've got my own people to look out for and my own societies to found.

Anyway I walk into that alley disheveled and feeling the weight of the years on my shoulders. Being a pacifist in the middle of a war had worn on me but my perks from back in day held my mind together but I still felt the world around me more acutely than others. Shingan and other various perk kept me from ignoring the world and thus I had to acknowledge the death around me, preventing what I could, which was a lot, but I made quite the name for myself. Bloodless Sword, Fear Eater, Battlefield Buddha, and many other titles were attached to me as I moved through the world in search of my brother.

It's stupid really. My brother could more than take care of himself, especially in this world of all places, but I felt lost without his simple logic and kindly nature helping me out so I sought him out even as I remembered those words from long ago.

"You don't try." It rattled my mind.

Shinto Shrines were visited, masters of the Art sought out but never did I find my elder brother whom had my back for more that almost three centuries now.

So I finally just returned to the place that gathered those who wanted to fade away. It was there that I found myself bumping into a eclectic group of fools and vagabonds. It was there that I found Sing, Fong, and Bone and rejoined them. It was there that for a while I found peace. Then a young woman followed dutifully by a crimson haired man came to the Alley. A scar in the shape of a cross on one cheek and sudden immense killer intent blasted through the world, not from the Hitokiri but from myself. So many lives I'd saved only for an assassin too thorough in his work to be sent after them, snuffed out like sparks. For a moment I was standing in the fields of battle among the carrion and blood, and then I was fireing on the Man Slayer.

Kenshin let out the kind of startled yelp of a man completely caught off guard as his head rocked backwards.

Thankfully I was shooting what amounted to rubber bullets so the swordsman was tossed on his ass from the hit instead of getting his head caved in. As the other various parts of his group reacted the Alley suddenly went very quite. It should be noted that Pig Sty was the kind of place that atracted those who just wished to live a quiet life, amongst the folks who now lived in the Alley I could count on Rob Lucci and the former members of CP9 and some other cool dudes, though they all unamously were against actually joining the Chain proper they'd found this place and they'd chosen to stay for their own reason, but anyway this means that when one of the members, even one such as old Oh-Bei-Wan, got into trouble they chose to face it together.

The group was staled by a venerable sea of pink hair holding them back and I started as Kenshin, still on his back, started to laugh.

"Yeah that's definitely you," the red head lifted his head up and I noted the buise starting to rise even as I breezed past the young woman there were greater wounds being spoken of by the how the blood pooled beneath the skin, "no one else would greet me with an outright non-lethal blow even whilst their heart is so committed to killing me."

"I hung up my sword and gun long ago," I said as I flicked One Yang Finger over half a dozen pressure points before gesturing to the weapons at my hip, "these faded echos have no edge any longer."

"What the heck was that!?" The young woman finally caught her voice. "Kenshin you said that this guy was a healer!"

"Oro?" Both the Man Slayer and I glanced over at the young woman before Kenshin continued with a sheepish smile. "He is Kaoru one of the very best! Just look at what he's done!" He pushed himself up in a lightning fast motion beneath the surface his Chi flow vitalized portions of his skeleton in sore need of the help.

"Kenshin don't..." Kaoru started but then noticed the Man Slayer smiling wildly. "Wha?"

“Oh Ronin-Sama you have just undergone a Miracle.” I said with a smirk. Before I got bowled over by a different young woman.

"Teach me please," Dark hair, like curtians of sable, and blue outfit cloaked this woman but I heard the desperation in her tone, "I'm a simple medicine woman but.."

"Who is it?" I asked suddenly.

"Wha?" Like Kaoru she was blindsided by simple things, small actions.

"Who is it that you care for that suffers so that you have taken the mantel of the healer, young woman?" I repeated with more depth. I flexed my spiritual energy and for the first time in nearly a decade my Shingan expanded to cover the entire hundred and seventy eight yards it could. I felt it then. With a sweeping gesture pink hair just vanished and I walked over to the man whom had been it's captor. "This one, yes? Broken deeply by techniques with a high price. A man forged and broken of his own choices, no I will not teach you to heal him." Sagara Sanosuke almost looked betrayed until my hand moved through One Yang Finger again. Taping out a quick three point chi release I turned to the girl whom had asked my teachings as if she'd deserved it. "It would take too long and you'd never fix him in time. So you'll have to deal with learning how to heal him if he ever needs it again."

Peace is nice, and sometimes the worlds are kind.

> What about Puddin?
She's a good girl.

Also bizarrely popular. She started doing training missions and like a shit ton of other time patrollers all came out of the woodwork to help her and shower her in gifts and clothing. It was weird.
Nobody ever helped Dumplin like that.
Nobody ever helped ME like that.

Also, I think she might be a tease?
Like, there's that whole "omnisexual" thing going on, but at the same time she's pure and innocent. And let me tell you something: she's aware of it. Definitely.
Considering Towa and Dumplin most definately aren't... I have no idea where she could have gotten that from.

Ah, well, I haven't really thought that far ahead. I think for the most part I'd just let Goku handle the events of Dragon Ball and act as a mentor alongside Roshi. Probably save Krillin from King Piccolo's kid, whatever that guys name was. I'll probably really only start interfering when DBZ comes around in the fight against Raditz, who should be easy enough to handle. After that? Who knows.

Watch Kill la Kill. It's decidedly worth it, you just need to get used to being nearly nude first.

So I've made yet another bet with Digger, which means it's time for me to kick into high gear with the Disgaea DLC.

Here's my attempted solution to the Netherworld reward. The Netherworld will not start as the size of a planet - it will be a castle and a small amount of land around it. However, buyable options in the DLC and moving along your chain will let the land steadily expand into a series of 'islands' that contain themes and aesthetic features from previous jumps. This is retroactive, so long chain Jumpers won't miss out. There wouldn't be a restriction for access, but storage space beyond normal 'estate' level would basically have to be gained bit-by-bit. You would need to conquer (and maintain control) of said islands on the side if you wanted your Netherworld under lock and key, or just leave it in anarchy...but then you can't use those islands for storage/industry/vacation time.

I haven't decided how I'm handling minions yet. I'd think about 10 (equal to the number you'd normally send through the Dimensional Gate) of your vassals could travel to your aid as non-companions, but it might be easier to just make them companions. I'm taking suggestions on this one.

This also means things in your Netherworld will occasionally happen and inactive companions aren't necessarily locked in the funbox all the time. It also means you don't immediately start with a planet-sized space, but instead get more as the chain goes on - which reflects how a lot of Jumpers handle space management with later perks and items.
>>
>>50179134
I kind of like it. Could we maybe make it so that the "islands" connect to each other so they're not floating or do they already do that.
Also I request that inactive companions be allowed to chill in the netherworld. It's a shame to have them in stasis all the time.

So I'm getting tired and as such will finish Chibi-Robo tomorrow. I'm not going to bed yet and as such would like to bring up two things.

1. My next jump in this style will be Def Jam Fight for New York.

2. After that I want to work on a larger project, and I want to check that it has not been claimed. So.. has anyone claimed Paper Mario?
>>
>>50179171
Nobody has claimed Paper mario to my knowledge, but if you're doing it please keep everything from sticker star forward non canon.
Literal shit games right there.
>>
>>50179134
Sad we don't get a planet outright but this sounds cool too.

How will this react to Sonichu's Jumperville, which is constantly expanding?

>>50179171
1. Cool.
2. Does Mario RPG Jump cover that? I know it covers Mario N64, but I don't know if it covers Paper Mario. Might wanna check.
>>
>>50179158
I'm undecided on the island connections, but yeah, inactive companions get to chill in the Netherworld. Generally, you can use the in-Netherworld Gate to get around, you just can't access the NIS-verse or multiverse at large until either the next NIS jump or post-Spark, respectively.
>>
>>50179183
Paper mario is a separate canon from regular mario.
With the exception of Paper jam which isn't even a real crossover anyways
>>
>>50179183
It doesn't cover the Paper Mario games or the more recent Handheld RPGs like Superstar Saga and such. The Super Mario RPG Jump in the drive is specifically Legend of the Seven Stars.

> Did you change anything?
I know you didn't ask me, but, hey, it's so rare that we talk about this jump I'll just leap on it anyway.
I stepped in twice.

Once when Nappa fought the Z Fighters, where I effectively stone walled him until Goku showed up. So nobody died! Not even Yamcha!
If you've ever played that DBZ RPG for the SNES, that's about how things went from there (except without all the recolors or the secret fight). ALL the Z Fighters went to Namek. Because they're idiots.
Well, except for Piccolo.
> Yamcha: "Besides, Konata's coming, so if anything happens she'll be there to help us out!"
> Me: "Yeah that'll happen."
> Yamcha: "See?"
> Piccolo: "Uhhh, I think she was being sarcastic."
> Yamcha: "Konata wouldn't joke about that! ... would she?"
> Me: "Nooooo. Of course not."
> ...
> Krillin: "Well, at least we all survived here. So, I've got a good feeling about Namek!"
I just started laughing after that, for... like... twenty minutes.

And then they mostly got their asses kicked around by the Ginyu force. I got their autographs. Things were mostly per canon past that point. I didn't save Krillin.

And when Super Buu came about I had to stop people from getting eaten by him, because Kid Buu would have tried to blow up the planet.
So me and Gohan beat him up instead. That was kinda neat and AU-ish.
I just wished for Fat Buu to come back later.

Oh, and when Dende redid the dragon balls, I made him keep the singular, full power wishes.
Because fuck it.
>>
>>50179074
>the embarrassment of the skimpyness
That's actually not necessary, it's just that, iirc, limiting contact prevents it from sucking too much blood. If you're a huge fountain of blood it doesn't matter.
>>
>>50179190
Sounds allright. A bit dissapointed with lack of a planet, since I wanted to dual weild dahaks, but this is a lot better than I was expecting.

I really just want the islands to be physically connected for ease of transport for everyone. Using the gate works fine when it's just a small group, but what if an entire district needs moving around?

>>50179179

Well, I seem to have built up quite the retinue by this point. Might as well keep bringing them along, never know when it might help.

Carbon and Imaginos get the Drop-In Toon background and we'll make them lawyers. We can always use lawyers for the prosecution and defense, after all. In fact, everyone gets Drop-In Toon with varied packages.

And quite honestly, most of the plot shall go the way that it's supposed to go, right up to the end. Dip and all. I'm mostly there just looming ominously in disguised-as-human form, right up until the end when Judge Doom has his moment.

"Ahem. I believe you just admitted to first degree murder."
>"-you're still here? Ha! What are YOU going to do about it?!"
"As a duly elected representative of the state of California I am placing you under arrest-"
>"Go get dipped!"
Grabbed by weasels, I'm shoved into the machine's Dip vat, disappearing under the surface into the green... then the machine gives a lurch to one side, spraying Eddie Valiant, Jessica Rabbit, and Roger Rabbit all with liquid before the machine shudders, starts emitting black smoke, and grinding to a halt. The Toons hang from the hook, their panic fading as they realize they are dripping wet but intact, while Eddie Valiant rubs his face, before licking his lips in confusion.
>"Lime?"
For hilarity's sake, Roger pulls himself out of the rope and offers Eddie a shotglass, salt, and tequila. Jessica, having room now, just slips out of the ropes; Judge Doom deflates, looking around wildly, the liquid in the vat splashing everywhere and I pull myself out with my makeup running, exposing my dour Toon face.
>"What?! That... that's not what was supposed to happen!"
"What, you thought I would let you kill innocents, even Toons? That's not dip, that's Kool-Aid. The dip is over there." I point toward a vat covered in a black tarp off to the side that no one has taken notice of before.
>"You--! I'll kill you!"
The expected struggle ensues. The outcome, too, is as expected - in the end, Doom goes over the top, splashes into the middle of it and gets tangled in the tarp, and his death scene is significantly more gruesome than it was in the film. More akin to the T-1000's death in a vat of molten iron.
The wall to Toontown still comes down, too - the Dip machine sputtering off into the distance, toons dipping cups into it and drinking Kool-Aid as the credits roll. Literally.
Eddie Valiant watches, bemused.

The breath scenario, too, I had a question. So we lose all out of jump powers till we "beat the game" at least once? Or does the keeping some of Breath refer to keeping one of breath abilities and that's it?

Does taking Breath background take away our physical form or we can still have that? Is it not impossible to end the journey if we are under control of men?

>developing additional powers post-jump
Huh. Well, that's sort of a tricky one...

...Think about it like this. With control over water, it would totally be possible to replicate ASPECTS of the breaths of rain just by getting good at it, right? Sending up bits of water as vapor and whatnot- that doesn't mean you actually HAVE the breath of rain, but just because you don't have it doesn't mean you can't develop techniques similar to it.

It's like taking the hard route to developing the techniques, some of which are going to be... pretty much impossible by my wager? Things like the Breath of Life and Fire would be... yeah, I'm not sure how you could finagle any of those with the standard power set other than some air-gas mixture? Doesn't mean you can't do it, though, just means I don't see a way.

>So we lose all out of jump powers till we "beat the game" at least once? Or does the keeping some of Breath refer to keeping one of breath abilities and that's it?

I'm starting to regret not adding a note for this now. So, you're asking about the whole recovering your powers over multiple loops thing, right?

To just explain it purely in the terms of the original game, up until the final level you only have the powers described in the 'Breath of Movement' line under 'A Breath of Power' in the jump. You can move earth, water and lava and a few types of plants, but that's it. At the final level, you're given the whole creative suite of the Breaths of Earth/Water/Lava/Plants. After that, the world collapses and the game ends, but for you, it repeats.

For each time you complete this cycle, you earn one more of these Breaths to help keep up with the increasing difficulty of the scenarios. And I do believe I did leave a note for this - should you finish early before completing five cycles to get all of them, you'll still get them all. After the first cycle, you can recover your other powers as side objectives from the stones.

Cthulhu Origin
100 cp - Insanity Strike
As a being of great and terrible power, you have a habit of driving others insane through any number of methods. Hit them with your sword? Insane. Flirt with them? Insane. With this, you also have an instinctive knowledge in exactly how much a person can take before you tip them over the edge. Comes with both a small amount of knowledge on how to give them one final push, and on how to drag them back to sanity.

200 cp - The Narrator
There’s this little voice you keep hearing… No, it’s not your conscience. You actually have one of those? Ah, i’ve got it. It’s the narrator. Whenever you wish, you may suddenly begin hearing a voice which will describe your actions to you, as though it were, well, narrating. Every now and then, you may even be able to learn things you shouldn’t, like ‘as he sat there unaware that a band of heroes would soon rise up to stop him’ or other similar line. Or maybe you could learn that the only way to get your powers back is to become a true hero and save the world.

400 cp - Coolthulhu
For a being that drive everyone who looks upon you insane, and actively wants to destroy the world, you can be a pretty cool guy, you know? I mean, seriously. It’s no surprise that the princess you rescued is halfway in love with you, but the evil sorcerer you ‘agreed’ to defeat before he could destroy the town is now calling you senpai. You must have charisma in spades or something.
>>
>>50179553
600 cp - Already Insane
Whats this? The mere mortals think they can drive you insane? Well, that just doesn’t fly here. As the bringer of insanity, any attempt at inflicting a mental influence over you, from the various forms of mind control, to rolling for SAN loss. And furthermore, not only do they not work on you, but they will literally bounce off you and smack the person trying to affect you in the face. Serves them right. You could even do something really stupid, like try to comprehend six and two thirds dimensional geometry without backlash, though you probably won’t be able to actually understand it.

>Does taking Breath background take away our physical form or we can still have that?
You do have a physical form, it's just this sort of... brown wiggly snake thing that can't really do anything on it's own but is effectively indestructible. Should you recover any of your powers that require a physical body, though, you can channel them through that. So you aren't screwed if one of your primary focuses was super strength or the like.

>Is it not impossible to end the journey if we are under control of men?
It's less being under their 'control' persay than being their nanny who's been paid a fucking lot to make sure they don't die. Technically... you can whatever you want, but your primary job is to protect them and you can't order them around. That's why 'ending the journey' is more like 'making life so good for the Men that they forget about the journey completely'.

I was just thinking that it was a bit like a system of magic, and that (barring the scenario perks, of course), you could coax nature into giving you more aspects with perks that allow you to interact with manifestations of certain elements.

Of course, that would be pretty powerful, and the system is nifty on its own, so I could see why you wouldn't want to do such a thing.

What happens to our companions in the jump? I seem to recall that Quicksilver in additional rules or somewhere had it that you can get non imported companions from the warehouse but if being Breath locks powers away till you complete it first time and find stones...

I mean, depending on how one rules that they get non imported companions to appear in jump, can we have them be around while doing third scenario and will they also lose memories like the people?

100 cp - Cthulhu’s Angel
How the heck does this work? Power here is supposed to be so ugly it drives you insane to look at. Not… This! You look like some sort of fashion model, not a cultist! Go cover yourself in blood or something. ...What do you mean ‘I am’? You still look hot! Stop doing that. Stop it right now!

200 cp - Tea With Cthulhu
As befitting of a proper groupie, you have an near perfect understanding of how to worm your way into people’s good graces. In other words, brown-nosing. Offering them gifts, complimenting them, trying to emulate them, all those things. At the end of each day, you’ll also be presented with a quick mental image, showing you whether you managed to raise any flags with people that day. Yes, I said flags. Basically, dating sim the perk.

400 cp - Screw The Plot
There are certain rules, laid down by The Narrator, that define the world. One very specific instance was giving Umi a horrible backstory so that Cthulhu wouldn’t just ignore her. You’re stuck with a similarly tragic backstory. Its payback time. You have an instinctive knack to getting your way, and out of the way of the plot. Totally and utterly doomed? A little voice in the back of your head will nudge you in the direction of the only thing that could possibly save you. While the only real limit is that the thing you want done be actually possible - you could even find a way to kick The Narrator in the balls if you wanted to - it isn’t going to ever be more than a quiet ‘go that way’ in the back of your mind.

How strong are characters anyways? None of it's perks seem to give you any combat ability, though the 100 cp calls you a being of 'great and terrible power'? And this is some weird rpg game thing right?
>>
>>50179703
Forgot to actually say 'Groupie Origin'.

600 cp - Sharpe Induced Stabbing
Sharpe the magic sword is responsible for the being known as ‘Dark Umi’. Something about driving her insane and giving her a super powered evil side? Regardless, you have a similar problem. Er, ‘ability’. Whenever you drastically change your fighting style - like a magic user deciding to use a sword - you can activate your brand new super powered evil side, and swap out all your various magic enhancements for physical ones, and turn your cosmic power into ludicrous levels of physical strength. And since this is a super powered evil side, it’s not an equal conversion - you could end up at a maximum of four times as strong. However, this mode also contains a distinct lack of morals and a rather large amount of bloodlust.

>getting more stuff with OUT of setting perks
Oh, absolutely that would work. I thought you were talking about potentially developing powers that overlap with the scenario perks.

The... idea of interacting with other breaths is definitely noted by the game - you can see it in all the lore texts, which a bunch of those ideas made it into the text I wrote - but there's no... definite mechanics? So, I'd just probably go forward with trying to keep to the same sort of theme that they went with those.

I suppose the best time to ask would actually be during the scenario when you ARE a Breath, because I don't think I actually noted keeping your Breath form after that? You'd need some sort of communication perk, maybe? Or maybe it'd just count with... you know, music like in the lore.

>>50179652
Yes! And in fact, the base Breath of Water has this function as well.

>>50179670
>DNA
You can clone the animal, but if you cloned them you'd just get two normally-sized ones, since you can't clone a breath. Nothing stopping you from making them bigger with other perks, or helping them grow their breaths, naturally.

>Companions
I believe there's a note in the breath scenario somewhere (although I can't find it) that your companions actually appear as Men, which are your primary ways of herding the sheep, so to speak, as long as you can figure out a way to communicate with them. As a Shaman, they appear and may be activated as normal companions would.

Your stuff is looking pretty good.

Anyway Im heading to bed, everyone have a good night.
>>
>>50179704
Um, thats a bit hard to say.

Cthulhu at the start of the game gets his ass kicked by a human wizard who seals his powers away.

He then becomes a JRPG hero and level grinds his way to punching out azathoth.

Honestly? A bigger pool count - a full-fledged Phantom has fewer Points to work with compared to someone fluffing their Enslaved Phantom, with the current set-up. The price of the option should at LEAST entail a full 1,000 Phantom Points.

As for some of the phantom customization sections - unfortunately that's going to be a bit of work, which is why I understand if you don't want to work on it. But many of the wizard options (like "summon part of your Phantom to clad your vehicle") wouldn't really work out for an actual Phantom. I'll think up some suggestions to help.

Sorry, but that discrepancy was REALLY sticking out like a sore thumb.

How is the purity of the soul judged for "Dark Binding" in the Hellsing jump? My first guess would be following the classic Christian canon as it seems prominent in the setting but how would it work after the jump?
Also what does the jumpmaker meant by corruption? turn you into an evil impulse-driven creature?

I hope this has not been asked a million times already.

I always assumed that 'wicked' meant someone who'd unrepentantly killed an innocent or raped someone, or something roughly as terrible.
Torturing people for fun, and the like.

I think Alucard just ate whoever he wanted and he sort of turned into an unfeeling asshole looking for a fight. Though he had a sort of fucked up life before becoming a vampire, so who knows.

Dimensional Flux [+100-+300] – Whatever Baal did to this Netherworld, it seems to have kicked physics and dimensional space in the pants, too. Those lines you saw in the sky? That wasn’t metaphorical – the sky is LITERALLY broken. To make things worse, the Flux will affect you as well...for +100, people and things will randomly changes places without warning, often changing the flow of a battle or acting as a horrifying inconvenience. For +200, this Flux reaches the items you came in here with – you may have a weapon suddenly replaced with tuna fish from down the hall, or have your multitool replaced with a dragon’s underwear. For +300, this Flux has tainted even your Warehouse – your gear and possessions will randomly appear and disappear in this place, and it won’t be possible to stop until you find a way to fix the problem. And that won’t be until after you’ve taken the castle.

Difficult Demons [+100-+300] – So the Demons in front of the Castle were apparently the odd ducks out. Because while the ones in the Castle were supposed to be ‘above average’ opponents (sometimes called ‘super mooks’), now they’re an absolute nightmare. For +100, they’re harder to reason with and hit even harder. For +200, they somehow have their hands on gear not of this world, being powerful weapons designed specifically to hurt YOU in particular. For +300, this place is an absolute hell. You must have grinded or possessed a fantastic amount of power to stand victorious here, and even then, it will be difficult. To think, if the minions are this strong, surely the Overlords-to-be are even stronger now…

So basically you get Overlord Points, or points to spend on your Netherworld, from taking Setbacks (environmental based drawbacks) and having more Rivals (what it says) to fight. You start with 0 and need to take at least three Rivals and two Setbacks. I'm taking suggestions on silly ideas for both.

Is anyone working on a "legendary moonlight sculptor Jump"?
because I already made a "skeleton" of it if no one has claimed it I will post it eventually.

I always worry that I'm missing questions when I'm not around, it's not too hard to just cycle through keywords on 4plebs to check for questions every week or so, but it's still nice to catch one live.

Hmm... For the low points.
1. A serious version of Sardia the Demonslayer for +0050 would be cool but it might be too much for some... perhaps.
2. True Overlord of Other Worlds would be a neat dude to fight at full power. Level 750 ain't nothing to scoff at.
3. Competent Prism Rangers!
4. Geo-Panel Madness!
5. Aramis for Zombie building quackery, infinite high level zombies?

> During the war, there was a samurai... the copycat samurai, who would learn the techniques of the fallen. She is said to know over one thousand techniques!
> "It's actually more like sixty eight."

So a pickpocket, a bandit lord, a gambler, and a young hier all walk into a bar ...
... and say, "Ow."

During the war I mostly traveled around looking for "strong" opponents to "fight" (note sarcasm) so that I could copy their techniques using various forms of mimicry. I also stole their weapons!
After the war, I kindof became a less polarized version of Kenshin.

> "Choosing to stop fighting is fine, but A Wolf Is Always A Wolf. Even if you choose to wear the skin of a sheep and lay among them, that will not change what you really are. You cannot change the way things are simply by wishing it were another way."

We never fought.

He said I seemed like a very determined person.
And he hoped I found what I was looking for some day.

Obviously, we need a magical girl demon/angel rival. We also need a final boss in-training, an incredibly scary looking demon that's a total wimp and vice versa, and a Prinny Revolution. Comrade Dood.

If you're around YJ_anon, are the foes you face in The Last Avenger drawback about on the level of their recent cinematic counterparts? Obviously Loki is more powerful than his depiction, and not all of the villains have had appearances lately, but for those that have like Ultron (if you stop him before he gets the Kree technology the drawback warns about) or Apocalypse is that about the level they're at?

I had been working on Mario and Luigi RPG jump. And I had planned on including a drawback that made your adventures in Paper Mario canon. Fucking Paper Jam

So uhh if you don't mind including a 0cp drawback for that I wouldn't mind.
