I am building a CSM list from both 30k boxes, and I'm doing thousand sons. They're generally vehicle light, and I'm wondering if ectomancy would be alright for getting troops into position with the" free" 18" move.

So have been looking to get into Eldar for a while but was put off by what seemed to be a lot of negative bias.
Luckily I don't much like the Wraith units and I don't plan on getting Jet Bikes or Swooping Hawks so I think I should be in the clear.
My favorite "Aspect Warriors" are the Fire Dragons and I am not looking for a huge model count army so I am hoping that for 1000pts the following list will work.

I've been playing 40k vidya and reading the books for a few years and have watched some batreps and have the rulebook+all Eldar Codexs on my tablet, when I went into my local gaming store they had three tables full of people playing but it seems most of them are playing Space Marines. (If that helps with giving insight to my meta, there was also an Imperial Guard and Dark Eldar player)
Could I straight up at Pheonix Lord Feugan to this list and some more Wave Serpent gear to go up the next step in points?

Could I get some advice on what to do with my Grey Knights?

Their fluff is cool to me and I like their version of power and terminator armor so after I got my hands on a Rule book and before I downloaded my codex I rushed out and bought a Blood Angel's Terminator Librarian (model has a cool pose and I like the axe) and a box of Paladins.

I still haven't gotten a game in yet and was reading through the rules when I realized I need troops to run an actual army.

Unfortunately not really I love the new models for my birthday last week I got a Land Raider Crusader and a Dreadknight (Is the sword and fist + psycannon a good loadout for this thing btw?)

Now I troops and have heard the Terminators for troops isn't the best gimmick. The problem is that I am at almost 1000pts just with the models I own.

What should I cut too make room for troops and is 1000-1250pts too high to start?

Is an MSU minmaxed list inherently cheesy?

I play Dark Eldar and love Reaver Jetbikes. Have a 1k game coming up Thursday and want to run 5 units of 3.

CSM cultists are fixed pose.

Nine of them have CCW, 1 has a flamer, 1 has a heavy stubber, 1 has a shotgun, and eight have autoguns.

The ones that come in the kit with the Aspiring Champion are the same ones as the Dark Vengeance box, so you much be able to pick up some cultists off ebay or at your gaming club for cheap.

I would love a multi-part cultist kit like GSC, but we never got one. Until then we can convert and kitbash.

In the friendliest of friendly games against Orks, they will still get wasted owing to their short range and terrible survivability. Looking over it, I think most of them fill some pretty decent holes in the list. There's actual Tech-Priest units (though the Heavy Support unit's got some overlap with the Kataphron servitors in tactical function), a melee tarpit unit, a MEQ robot unit, a troop transport, a shooty Jetpack unit, and a few new tanks, along with a bunch of robots that mostly overlap in role with the Kastelans and the jump pack melee cyborgs who overlap with the running melee cyborgs from the Skitarii list.

I mean, yeah, Ursarax are pretty cool, but when you're already running two squads of Sicarians in your AdMech War Convocation, they just start looking a bit redundant unless you really want to go all in on the melee cyborg units.

Sword, psycannon and personal teleporter is fine. Personal teleporter is a must have. Heavy Incinerator is good too, but it will not hurt things you primarily want to charge. If you want to use it then don't take the sword.

Let's be honest, though, in a 40k game, you'd be taking them along with the AdMech War Convocation, which would give you 300-500 points to spend on them, depending on which exact options you wind up choosing and how big you choose to make your squads.

For instance, you could take a Knight Crusader, a Dunestrider Ballistarius, 3-strong Onager Dunecrawler squadron, a 10-man Skitarii Vanguard squad, a 7-man Myrmidon Secutor squad, and a Triaros transport in a 2000-point army, by my calculations.

Looking to start my first army with Khorne Daemonkin. It looks like it has a bunch of cool Daemon models without any of the trashy psychic phase.

The Bikers can quickly go after armor and tougher units.

There isn't much call for the SOB/SoS to hate each other beyond 'People hate blanks'.

The SoS were his agents for quite some time and the SoB have the trust and alliance of the Custodes after the Reign of Blood. They are one of the few groups who ever got to enter the throne room proper.
