>>49865114
Two editions of WEG, two d20 editions and a large chunk of the current FFG edition all used/shaped the old EU, it makes sense for /tg/ to have a boner for it.

Clone Wars did a lot to help alleviate (but not remove) the Prequel butthurt, so /co/ kiddos growing up with Orange Buttcheeks and friends will discuss the recent animated shows fondly.

I don't go to Reddit so I have no frame of reference. I'm presuming a lot of overhyping Rey with Grrrrrl Powrrrr

TFA was blandly ok. Rogue One is starting to look hype as fuck

You misunderstand my point, everywhere just shits on anything that isnt its obsession, its just exhausting that everywhere turns into arguments or shit flinging.

I dont hate legends, I just feel like a lot of people here just cling onto their EU mary sues a bit too tight, and a more prone to "rule of cool doesnt exist, find me a canon example"

>>
>>49865301
does it matter?
>>
>>49865305
Thats not what I meant either, I quite like a lot of things in Legends, its just a find theres a lot of people here who just get mad if people talk about things that would make sense in universe but arent in the EU. As well as shitting on anything thats not their jedi waifu #7
>>
>>49865273
That's fair. /tg/ tends to like breaking things down to mechanical examples, even when it doesn't matter.

I'll freely admit to preferring the EU because A) NuCanon hasn't gotten enough worldbuilding under its belt yet and B) MUH CHILDHOOD. Still, I see /swg/ as one of the few places that tries to synergize the old with the new. Ain't nobody mad about Poe Dameron.

There was a string of TFA-focused shitposting every now and then that helped sour people on that whole avenue of discussion

Interesting.

Big reason it redeemed the prequels for me that it was fun. There was some serious stuff and plot development etc, but mainly it was fun and trying to be fun first before adding the heavy stuff.

It wasn't genius it was fun, and that's what I want from Star Wars
>>
>>49866072
Still Legends-only. Best way to check canon status is to see if it has a canon tab on the Wook.
>>
>>49865273

Some of it is >>49865356's spoiler -- we like TEH RUURS!, so working inside an established space fits /tg/ well. Legends is the single most established chunk o' lore, and with the greatest quantity of supporting rulesets / games / content. We still talk modern canon, because the stuff being produced now heavily focuses that. You're just going to have to start the conversation. And starting it with TFA SUCKS ANH POTTERY GG JJ NO RE tends to end it immediately.

C3po with Rey+Finn adds a lot to her survivability. And I feel that glitterstim might be the better illicit with Rey. Her ability does reroll focuses, and with refilling blanks and Finn more will come up.
Setting her up for jousts can involve red manueverable so getting a to use your focus dice on thebig turn might be a bid deal.

I am considering replacing the illicit and APT with Engine Upgrade, but if I did that I'd have to change her EPT to something 2 points or less.

>Does the Rebellion do anything wrong? Like they seem to be doing absolutely everything right all the time. They seem to be infallible.
They got rekt on the Tantive IV, got rekt at Hoth, and would have bitten the dust at Endor had Vader not betrayed Palpatine. The Legends Rebellion was defeated at Derra IV, Ord Biniir, several missions in TIE Fighter, the Galactic Battlegrounds Vader campaign, and the first Battle of Borleias. I'm not familiar enough to tell how badly the nucanon Rebellion has done outside of the films, but we do know that NuMothma made the horrible mistake of disarming the NR.

You're not likely to get that extra blank enough to be worth 3 pints imho.
Even on a 4 die attack, your EV is one blank, plus Finn's.
It will come up a couple times in a game, but at 3 points I don't see the value.
>>
>>49866448
>got rekt at Hoth

Got lucky at Hoth because Ozzel was actively incompetent. Otherwise, that would've been the end of the Rebellion full stop.

>Endor

Mission failed. Without Deus ex Ewok, the shield never comes down whether Palps dies or not. Rebellion is crushed, again.

The rebels fuck up all the time. They just get away with it, because plucky heroes good defeats evil stop questioning the narrative.

There were rebel extremists who tried to kill a child propaganda star, but they got kicked out of the rebellion for that kinda thinking. The rebellion also currently has a super max prison that's rigged to blow up if imperials in it try to escape, but I'm not sure if that's evil or just sensible thinking when you've loaded a bunch of imperials who warrant a super max prison.

In Legends, it's typically just the most common color that you get when you synthesize crystals. KOTOR, at least, also had naturally occurring red crystals. Mundane shit. Also, red and black is a good villain look.

In nucanon, Filoni mentioned something about color being tied to the spiritual state of the owner during the meditation process but I'm not sure how official or explicit that statement was.

Various Scum factions, some planets like Jabiim (they really fucking hate Skywalkers there), possibly a number of extremist non-Alliance rebels. Extremist CIS remnants, possibly. In Legends, Wedge also had to fight a shitload of battle droids on Geonosis that the Empire hadn't cleaned up yet.

Garm Bel Iblis in Legends also splintered off due to political differences with Rebel High Command. He didn't actively fight the Rebs, though. He just sort of went and did his own thing. Mon Mothma tried centralizing power, while Team Garm chanted the words every freedom-loving /k/ommando knows by heart:

Which made them pretty human. It's still pulp sci-fi, but you can have clear good and bad guys while still having flaws in the heroes and admirable aspects of the villains. And a few more grey individuals.

Kyp Durron, the NuRepublic disarmament, player decisions in the KOTOR games, the Legends NR hunting warlords who weren't actively in combat, and tabletop parties already exist. NuHan returned to a life of crime. Dark Empire had an incredibly silly Darth Luke plot arc. Mace Windu toed the line every time he used Vaapad. Obi-Wan was a hypocritical jackass when it came to waifus. Anakin's good intentions led to his downfall. Luke used Force choke and threats of violence during Jabba's palace, while Leia was crazy enough to brandish a thermal detonator indoors.

Also, there was that one time in the Marvel comics where Team Skywalker threatened a bunch of legitimately douchey fucksticks with planetary genocide IIRC.

I feel you, but when one of the key moments in Star Wars is when the Republic's greatest hero crossed the line and became it's greatest nightmare, the idea of "heroes not being sure what the right thing to do is" fits in with the themes of the Star Wars universe. Heroes should be presented with difficult choices where the right thing to do isn't overtly obvious. That way the threat of falling from grace is constantly lurking in the background the entire time.

He doesn't go from light grey to dark grey because of the complexities and moral dilemmas of life.
He goes from light to dark because the (in)sidious Sith Lord tricks, and corrupts him.
This is still within the broad strokes of pulp sci-fi morality.

IMO, I feel like it's mosly Kreia that tries to say that there's grey morality in the GFFA. But then you find out her whole motivation is that she's butthurt she exists in a setting where being force sensitive means you have clear morality and she wants the Exile to kill the force (which would probably kill all life in the GFFA, meaning she's stupider than Trioculus and commits the great villain cliche of messing with powers beyond her comprehension). At that point, I even doubt if the Nar Shaddaa scene everyone dislikes wasn't orchestrated by her, I wouldn't put it past someone who is that powerful and willing to get their shit pushed in to maintain their disguise to orchestrate something that would convince the Exile to hate the force.

She doesn't so much hate the clear morality, she hates the concept of DESTINY that the force brings with it. Life where destiny binds you and negates your free will isn't really life at all.

Hypothetical situation here, so you can run with it or ignore it, I thought it an intriguing scenario:

>It's the 1st act of episode 3, observation room of Grievous's flagship, Anaking just cut off Dooku's hands and has him dead to rights, Palpatine tells Anakin to finish Dooku off, but Anakin is unsure (as we saw in the Movie)
>However at that moment of uncertainty Dooku says: "Um, before you kill me I just want to say, He's Darth Sidious," pointing a severed stump at Palpatine, "Yeah He's the Sith lord you've been looking for, I'm just the apprentice. Just wanted you to know, Now do what you must, get it over with"
>Anakin, in a brief moment of weakness, or possibly confusion, pauses and says "Wait what?"
>Palpatine chortles and retorts "he's a Sit, he's obviously lying, kill him"
>Dooku, Proclaims "How do you think we were able to attack Coruscant with an entire fleet without any notice or warning? He gave us coordinates that would bypass all your clone fleets, he even moved some to make sure we weren't detected! this was all STAGED!"
>Palpatine laughs it off more nervously than before, "those plans were... stolen! yes! they were stolen by seperatist spies!" under his breath he mutters "shut up!"
>Dooku asks incredulously, "So your defense is that you are incompetent?"
>Palpatine Shouts, "HOW DARE YOU-"
>Dooku: "Oh so it's okay for you to double-cross me but when I do the same I'M THE ASSHOLE?!"
>It is at this time Obi Wan bursts through the doors fully expecting to see Anakin about to do something rash instead finding the chancellor and Dooku arguing with each other and Anakin looking on with a confused look on his face, a face Obi Wan probably knows all too well...

How do you think the Saga would've changed (if at all) if this was how the scene played-out instead of what actually happened in the Movie?
>>
>>49867914
And in that regard, she's just as foolish as anyone who talks about destiny in SW. Even Yoda (who I consider to be probably the wisest character we ever see in SW) thought Luke's Destiny was to confront and kill Vader. But Luke chose the third option, by laying down arms and choosing to believe in the good remaining in his father. Everyone thought Anakin's destiny was to destory the Sith, but that was only true from a certain point of view. Even the wisest and most powerful of force users and scholars can't truly see someone's destiny, so it may as well not exist.

Heh, fairly complicated... But I reckon Anakin probably would have had enough good left in him to have a go at Palps, who in turn turns him into chopped up kibble or manages to convince him to join him to replace Dooku

>Obi Wan wakes up to a room full of corpses and tries to figure out what kind of shitshow went down
>>
>>49868095
Anakin and Obi-wan get their ass handed to them by Papa Palpatine, but potentially they could make it out alive. Dooku is dead, and there's not a question on that one. He may buy enough time for both Anakin and Obi-wan to escape.
Order 66 still gets called, and Palpatine negotiates a truce. Less Jedi die, but a huge number still do. The temple on Coruscant is totally lost, but more survivors might make it out (Although Palpatine might personally lead the attack there, so its possibly a wash)
Empire still gets formed, eating a huge section of the CIS in doing so, but its now two factions glued together and much less stable than the empire we know. More jedi survive, so we might see a fast emerging rebellion. We know a rebellion was already formed one year off.
The empire is never going to hit its stride like it does in the real universe. With a rebellion appearing before it has a chance to properly subjugate and begin proper command, supported by Jedi commanders and CIS remnants that would join up without the CIS leadership killed by Anakin, I'd predict a minor faction formed that owns several hundred star systems outright 5 years after the Battle of Coruscant.
The Empire will hold together until the Emperor's death though. Big question is how many superweapons he tries to churn out before he bites it. Padme might be abducted by Palpatine before her children are born, but might not, in which case Anakin gets probably the best possible ending for him as a commander of the rebel forces with his children being raised safely.
Obi-wan becomes a high master in the new order, but can never quite shake the feeling that the order has become too jaded and focused on the wrong things.
Of course that's assuming, as >>49868180 puts it, that Palpatine doesn't wipe the fucking floor with everyone and keeps the secret from getting out.
>>
>>49868142

Bah, I disagree strongly, it's like the varieties of Christianity that say divine foreknowledge doesn't automatically create predestination.

It does, there's either one or the other.

To phrase it better "Congratulations Darth Sidious, it seems you've found your new apprentice." would slightly fit Dooku's tone better.

As calculating as Palps is, I think he'd have a more vested interest in keeping his secret for long enough for the main goal to get kicked through- destruction of the republic and formation of the empire.
If that means killing every single being in earshot, well there's no issues there for him.

But it might add a slight delay to the formation and he'd have to get another separatist to fill Dooku's shoes- don't see that being a problem.
Loss of an ally in Anakin, well... a loss but that's what they're for when you're a sith, to take the punches so you don't have to :)

Palp isn't Omnipotent or omniscient.
His plan was coming close to completion, but also to unravelling (going by cartoon here). That big of an upset might have been to much for him to set back and recover from.
He'd have to pull the trigger on 66 and make the best of it.

Though desu the Jedi accepting the clone chip explanation in the cartoon was pretty pants on head retarded. No one thought to check further into that?

B/C with

Crack Shot/HLC/Glitterstim/FCS/Autothrusters

B/C with

PTL/Mangler/Glitterstim/Advanced Sensors/Autothrusters

Are there any other good IG-88 builds?

16 health with 3 agility and Autothrusters seems like a good counter to the new resurgence that will come from 4x Y wing lists.

Dunno, theres a lot of hypothetical events to consider which makes it hard to come up with anything definitive.
Just going off the traits Palps has-
>Resourceful
>Cunning as a shithouse rat
>A lethally dangerous combatant

I think he'd be able to salvage something and come out shiny, but its going to be a setback and make things a little more complicated for a while.

Oh he's fucking dangerous as all hell. It's just that he's not unstoppable.
If there was as big a turn around as Dooku turning, I think the most likely event is things going bad for Palp, but he takes a whole lot down with him.

My personal email theory is still that as emperor he loses a lotore control to the influence of the dark side. He forgets how to be as subtle, charming, and patient, how to accept a setback it grace (he wasn't hat hood at it but he could do it), how to delegate control.
Because for w time he didn't need to. He let his control over himself slip, because he thought he could control the galaxy.

Generally when I write a campaign I don't have an issue with 'removing' main plot characters from the movies or even adjusting them to appear earlier/later in a story. But it has to be done for a reason and mostly that reason is to let players make the most of their situation without being overshadowed by the canon plot or some of the more influential movie characters- after all who wants to be working for 6 months real-time, just so Lando can go fly a space pickup into a deathstar? :)
Hell no, if anyone's going to be flying a space truck into a space stations guts, its going to be a PC!

If I altered events well before the PC's turn up, generally I'd keep the details very brief and relatively uncomplicated
>Leaves room for secrets PC's can find
>Doesn't overshadow their events
>Ultimately, probably doesn't matter too much

So in the hypothetical that they're on the bridge of the CIS ship
>Obi-Wan is unconscious
>Dooku is defeated
>Grievous is off doing EVA
>Anakin is considering put him down
>Dooku beings blabbing out everything

At this point, I think Anakin probably won't kill Dooku as he's more likely to take him prisoner and the impact of the news that Palps & Dooku are in cahoots- Maybe he thinks its bullshit? Palps just gives Dooku a sneaky force-nudge into some lit sabres and its just Anakin and Palps in the room.
Palps may go a couple of ways- deny everything seems likely as Dooku was, if he thinks Anakin might believe it then story continues as per the movie
If he thinks Anakin's going to rat him out, then he'll have an accident, ride the lightning or Palps pulls a lightsabre off the floor and savagely murders his arse

If we overcomplicate it with too many what-ifs, then its probably going to be relatively unbelievable. That includes side-lining the even with open comms- bit hard to press buttons with no hands, on your knees and crippled.
The loss of Anakin and Obi in that scene, probably a setback but ultimately not going to stop Palps.

>Big question is how many superweapons he tries to churn out before he bites it
probably a prototype version of the Death Star super laser, though probably not nearly as refined as what we would see in ANH.
>>
>>49869218
There well could be other imperial remnants but theyre entirely inconsequential. The first order was formed from the remains of the empire/empire supporters after the battle of jakku. It was even temporarily a political entity within the New Republic but constant arguing/disagreement lead to them seceding entirely and going about building their army in the unknown regions until Starkiller was operational.
>>

Right now it's the only one, but that could stand to change depending on how the story group wants to fill the gab between rotj and tfa.

Alright. My local store only had one Scyk in stock, so my plans for an all-Scyk Mindlink list are off for now.

But I refuse for my misplaced excitement to be crushed like that, so I need to figure out a list with just the two.

>Attani Mindlink
>"Heavy Scyk"
>Heavy Laser Cannon

>Tansarii Point Vet (24)

>Concord Dawn Ace (25)
>Attanni Mindlink
>Concord Dawn Protector

It's not exactly what I'm hyped for but I like how the different parts work together. The Fang Ace gives some great range 1 punch to work alongside the Scyks sniping, and Palob should be a good way to keep everyone focused all the time.

It helps that they're all PS5 so I can choose what order to move them in.

Plus I'm flying Scyks next to a Protectorate so maybe people will get confused and think I'm flying something backwards.

Why does no one ever kill all the Hutts? 90% of all crime in the Galaxy suddenly ENDS. I'm guessing its because everyone's always fighting each other. I wonder who could be behind this...
>>
>>49871693
There's no elegant way to express that in the timing rules of X-wing. According to the timing rules, by the time you've spent your target lock you've declared your target, therefore the target must already be valid.

You can leave it as is and allow the player to ignore the range/arc conflict which might occur (honestly, how often will that barrel roll carry you out of range/arc anyway?) or compromise a little and move the barrel roll to either before declaring your target or after completing your attack.

Or live with a clunk term like 'valid' which doesn't really appear in X-wing idk.

No, no it doesn't. All that does is leave a power vacuum in the organized criminal underworld. And the last time Star Wars had a large power vacuum, it resulted in the Imperial Civil War.

The problem with that is

A) There's a lot of other crime syndicates out there operating at a galactic level. Black Sun, Zann Consortium, Tenloss Syndicate, Kanjaklub, the Space Scots, not to mention thousands of smaller pirate fleets terrorizing the spacelanes. The Hutts are a big chunk of that, but eliminating them only creates a giant power grab among everybody else.

B) (In Legends at least) Hutts are murderous, conniving bastards always trying to assassinate each other, but when somebody else does it? They go all-out Russian Mafia on the perpetrator. They make sure its loud, messy, and very public to discourage people from even thinking about killing a hutt without the blessing of one of their multiple vendettas.
>>
Any one else excited about ahsoka and Rex for x-wing.
Cheap manueverable support ships seems pretty neat, and that's before throwing in the title or mod.
>>
>>49875969

>>
>>49875927
>A) There's a lot of other crime syndicates out there operating at a galactic level. Eh, not if you put boots on the ground and kill everything in sight. I'm saying full extermination of resistance, not the pansy occupation the Americans have going on in Afghanistan and had in Iraq. The Empire's good at that, so if Sheev really cared about enforcing order, it'd be done. Hell, I could see an Empire under Emperor Vader being actually hardline on slavery, considering what he experienced.

Also in that power grab you mentioned even if you don't go the full Imperium of Man route, a lot of crime syndicates would die off trying to claim the Hutts' throne. In the end, you would have a very, very reduced criminal underworld in terms of manpower. Much easier for governments to tackle rather than being forced to work with (as in the instance with Xizor).

Of course, you'd have to have a government that actually cares to handle these problems. The Republic didn't care about that shit, they didn't really look outside of the Core Worlds. The Empire pretended to care, but only when it served them.
>>
>>49876080
yeah, the timing on that did a lot.
And the rebel tie article showing off a manuever that isn't possible (you can't use sabine crew to drop a bomb ofter the EMP device because you don't show a manuever).

I was also a little surprised at basically everyone on the FFG forums thinking Recon Spec is the best crew for Ahsoka. Sure it leaves her with a focus after using her ability, but I'd rather have a crew that pulls of something more rather than improving her own dice. Especially if you're using the mod so she won't be attack or defending ever round.

The new and better intel officer from U-wing seems sweat for her. You can keep the opponent off of a manuever, know the manuever if it's an ace, and maybe sometimes pick their manuever. And still use Ahsokas ability to pull off free actions at PS infinite. That plus EMP device, mod and VI is like 22 points, not bad.
>>
>>49876266
The article was showing two separate rounds, round 1 you get in front of the enemies and EMP, round 2 you just move forward and drop a bomb like normal.
>>
>>49876317
right, but you can't use the bomb round 2.
The move was from being Ionized, which isn't a revealed manuever, so you can't drop the bomb.

>>
>>49876266
I like Ahsoka cheap, I'm thinking adaptability and captured tie just so she can spread actions, maybe block. Giving her that wingman/Kyle combo seems fun, clearing stress and getting a focus to throw at a free action.

I was looking at this to start

Ahsoka w/ Adaptability, Captured Tie (18)
Norra w/ PtL, tail gunner, title, vectored thrusters, R2-D2 (40)
Biggs w/ R4-D6, integrated (26)
Rex w/ masterpiece, chopper, black market slicer tools (16)
>>
What's the Star Wars equivalent of a stingray.
>>
>>49876373
the diagram show her with ion tokens, and the 1 straight isn't a manuever on her dial. More likely they fucked up and forgot that bombs require revealing a manuever, rather than happening before executing.

Still not a bad build, you just have two different ways of fucking with the oppenent before performing an attack, rather than a combo.
Or you can use an action to drop a cluster bomb or similiar, then EMP and force them to run straight into it.
>>
>>49876417

>>49876411
I differ in that I prefer rex cheap, because his ability means he's going to be a target. And I don't like BLM because I want to use his actions to set up an attack or survive.
Also I don't like BMST with no way to put out stress where I want it.

If I did BMST on a rebel tie it would be on sabine with tactition.

How do you kill huge ships in X-wing? My rebel friend have got a Tantive IV and we've tried a few games with it, one 200-point and one 300 point. I've done okay-ish dealing with fighters but it seems almost impossible taking the huge down between regenerating shields and reinforces. Focusing fire should help, but ignoring the fighter support gets you torn to shreds by them and trying to deal with the fighters first while under constant quadlaser bombardment leaves you with very little to take down the freighter with. I don't have any huge of my own, because i'm a) poorfag b) scumfag.

Heavy Laser Cannons, or hard hitting ordnance. Epic is a where those ships with a single ordnance slot want to use that slot. Try packing 4 Y-Wings with Proton Torps, Extea Munitions, and Guidance Chips. Or Khyraxxz with Concussions. Or 4 Scyks with Heavy Laser Cannons.

B-Wings also shine at capship killing, needless to say. You could also use A-Wings or T-70s with Autothrusters and park them in the Corvette's secondary weapon blindspots so it can only shoot you with its turret.
>>

>>49878144
Whoops, you're Scum. In that case, given their recent buff, I agree with >>49877960 recommending the HLC Scyks. 4 Tansaari Point Veterans with Attani Mindlink and Heavy Laser Cannon should be a decent platform to punch damage through.

B-Wings in Epic are almost *too good at killing Huge ships. There's an LGS near me where everyone auto-includes 4 B-Wings with -insert secondary weapons here- for every Epic game. Keep it back. The capital-killing ordnance and HLCs need range. So slow-roll them up at start while your other shit starts wrecking fighters.

You could always bring the current "Scum Epic ship"... 4 IG-88s. A full setup of all the bounty hunters, Boba, Dengar, IG, ZuckS/4-Lom, and Bossk, is also really good.

With what I have, I could bring up Bossk with HLC and two IG's with manglers. That way, Bossk attacks first and softens up the shield (which I fully suspects to regenerate every turn), then the brobots can unleash Crit hell on the unshielded ship (I heard crits tend to be pretty Brutal for huge). That would leave me with about half my points to spend on anti-fighter-fighters, sounds good?

Sounds good to me. The shields *may regenerate somewhat each round, but you are correct in that pushing crits through is where it's at. HLCs are solid, reliable damage, especially when fully modified. But a trio of torpedo ships with Protons and Guidance Chips, will absolutely fuck up a section of a Huge ship when it's caught without a Reinforce up. They don't dodge well, and tend to rely on just soaking damage.

>>
>>49878584
Yeah, but, if I liked a tabletop game, and knew there were a well-regarded movie about it, I'd watch it.
>>
>>49878609
I take pride in not watching any movies based on other media (except maybe books in rare occasions) since those are mostly crap
>>
>>49878674
THE MOVIES CAME FIRST
>>
>>49878674
Just in case you actually aren't pretending: The movies came First. books, boardgames, videogames, animated series, etc, are all based on the movies.

8/10 the mere thought that you might be serious confuses me on a deep level.

>>49878674
This has to be some fresh, new flavor of bait.
>>
>>49878745
I'm not mad. But the mere suggestion that someone might not know Star Wars as a film franchise from the 70's first and foremost blows my mind. And now that it has been mentioned, I realize it's not such an unlikely thing nowadays.
>>
>>49878674
What is this bait.
>>
>>49878674
This guy is samefagging me. I just haven't watched the movies yet. Don't fall for his bait.
>>
>>49878790
not having seen the 70s movies first is clearly the case for some people
Not knowing that there were movies in the 70s first is easy to believe.
Thinking that the movies made from the table top games is a bridge to fucking far.

Of course taking pride in never watching movies based on any previous media is stupid in it's own right, but I've known that sort of stuck up twit.
>>
>>49878825
fucking watch them cunt
>>
>>49878851
No need to be rude about it, now.

How many of you here wish you could watch Star Wars for the first time again?

To be fair, has there ever been a good movie based on a tabletop game?
>>
>>49878888
you were stupid enough to ask if alcohol existed in star wars when one of the more famous film scenes in history takes place in a bar in the first fucking film

I'm not even him, anon.

Is Kylo Ren irredeemable at this point? He seems to actively want to be in the darkside.

>Born in '95
>Knew who Luke's after was before I knew what a Star Wars was

I'd just like to have had a 1st time.

table top game, no, but he said "any other media".
So, novels, plays, short stories, TV shows, comics, etc.

There hasn't been a good movie based on a Table Top IP yet, but don't believe it's impossible for there to be one, and never going to watch any categorically (rather than seeing previews/reviews and knowing that they are bad) isn't something to be proud of.

So for me personally, no, but I define redemtion not as a single event but the start of a path.
He cannot do a single act that would absolve him of all the evil he has done, but he can turn from the dark side and start on the path of redemption. People always have that choice, it's matter of having the will to make it.
>>
>>49879043
You have done zero reading have you. Snoke chose him because hes the perfect balance between dark and light side. He wants to be dark side because he idolises Vader but hes internally conflicted by both his past and snoke himself. Definitely redeemable
>>
>>49879049
It's depressingly difficult to get one with anything nowadays.

>There hasn't been a good movie based on a Table Top IP yet
What is Clue?
>>
>>49871902
This was actually a character concept in one of my games.
>>
>>49879052
On that we agree. I mostly just wanted to know if a good tabletop film had happened without me noticing. And an excuse to post Jeremy Iron's eyebrows.
>>
>>49879043
Can't imagine him doing anything that would make me like him. They're probably going to give him some sort of redemption plot in the upcoming movies though. Possibly right before he dies by sacrificing himself.

He murdered his dad in cold blood.

If he comes back to the light, it'll be in death.
