I joked about my character getting a piece of his soul shaved off and shoved into the Sorshen clone from SS, resulting in a separate, entirely new person. Similar to how soulbound constructs work. This was because I thought we were writing the clone off and never speaking of it again. The GM latched onto that shit and took off with it. Turns out despite another player's insistence, he did not in fact want to just ignore the clone.

Considering my character, he probably wouldn't do that, since he'd probably consider her to technically be his daughter. Even as bizarre as the circumstances surrounding her gaining life would be. I need suggestions for more spirits for the Unchained Medium!

In the latest version, I've included means for the UnMedium to change out their feats, so that they can ACTUALLY be versatile! I've also upped the amount of influence they can accrue at later levels before suffering penalties or losing control, which means more uses for your abilities!

Currently, I'm stumped on: Neutral Evil Intelligence, the Lawful spirits (Good, Neutral, Evil) of Charisma, the Evil spirits of Dexterity (Lawful, NE, Chaotic Evil).

I had some ideas, but keep in mind:

>Each Primary Spirit (the original six spirits of the medium) has an ability score associated with it
>Strength, Dexterity, Constitution, Intelligence, Wisdom, Charisma
>Champion, Trickster, Guardian, Archmage, Hierophant, Marshal, respectively

The secondary spirits (what I'm calling the other spirits that the medium can channel alongside his Legendary/Primary spirits) should fit under one of those categories.

For Neutral Evil, I was thinking something like a Daemon, something of calculated destruction. Should I take some of the features from the Daemon sorcerer bloodline for it? Or just come up with something unique? I already pretty much stole stuff from the Draconic Bloodline for the LG Strength Spirit (The Dragon).

For the Lawful Charisma spirits, I was thinking:

By default, I think you can get sneak attack on ranged attacks made within 30 feet of the target, but because you can't flank with ranged attacks they have to actually be flat-footed. That basically means you'd be able to get your sneak attack, but only during the start of combat.

Against enemies with decent saves giving penalties to this saves is essentially required instead of just throwing things at them that they're gonna pass.

Pathfinder, like all D&D-descended d20 TTRPGs, is really two games. The character-generation game, and the table game.

The character generation game, especially now after, what, almost a decade of splatbooks and hundreds of third-party publishers, is unmatched in all the world. You can spend weeks finding the perfect combination of stuff to make your dream sheet.

The table game, where you USE that character, fucking sucks. It's constantly getting in the WAY of everything you want to do. But you had so much fun, sunk so much time into, MAKING the character, that not playing would feel like a waste, so you trudge through the bullshit math until you're allowed to have fun again.

We are playing currently at 9th level with automatic bonus progression and one of the players just founded a Kingdom of undead. Since some characters of the group dont really work with that they agreed to make new characters since they like the plot of that so far. Now, One of my players wants to make a character with the ghost template. The thought of an incorporeal nearly indestructible pc with some nasty special attacks strikes some alarm bells with me. First he wanted to make the ghost a mesmerist, which i rejected since i didn't want to bring in occult classes, now he wants to do a paladin. Anyone got advice wether or not i should allow the ghost template? What kind of fuckery would i be in fir? or what do do with that?

if you're going to be relying on a companion for your grapples, I have four things to tell you.

First, Hunter is THE companion class with a huge variety of buffs for companions. Since your companion is the one that's going to be doing the majority of the work, you need it to be as buff as you can get it. If you don't want to roll with a Hunter, then Druid is your next best bet. Feyspeaker in particular, due to point #4

Second, make space in your build for one level of Mammoth Rider. This is important because increasing your pet's size will push what you can grapple and, therefore, slaughter.

Third, the constrictor falls off after a while. while it's the only companion to get grab from level one, past that point you need to swap over to an allosaurus, big cat, or warcat, as they'll keep up longer, can do more damage when something no-sells their gimmick, and the cats are viable options for mammoth rider.

Finally, have at least 13 points in charisma. Reason for this is simple; the Evolved Companion feat is ridiculously good for any build focused on companions.

My entire party, including GM was mad at me so GM made everyone go to a point-buy system while allowing class changes. We are playing Reign of Winter.

We rolled stats, and we all had really good stats. The thing was we had a Stalker without Deadly Agility and 10 Str, a Wizard with like 22-23 int, a utility Monk focused on teleporting and combat maneuvers, and me as a paladin with 20 Str and an Earthbreaker.

I was 1 shotting most things as the Paladin when I cared to. I was a Chosen One archetype and RPing as a "bad paladin", generally not caring about the party yet (we level 2), since due to people leaving and joining already, none of the original party except the paladin is in the story. Everyone hated this character because even someone that got Paladin thrust upon them should be a 100% LG Paladin to the max.

My groups current campaign is a Spelljammer game. The PC's are all various shades of evil bastards. We're working for some ancient lich, traveling to different worlds trying to find various artifacts of Vecna, as this lich we're working for wants to follow in his footsteps and become a god.

You are not really a paladin. You get a Familiar that helps guide you along the way. Makes you a better paladin. At level 1-2, you wouldn't exactly be strictly following the Paladin code as a normal Paladin would. You don't even get Knowledge Religion as a class skill, your familiar does and gains ranks in it each time you advance to a new level.

It was a gradual thing; she was assigned to the party as a way for the DM to help us out, a sort of advisor that could give out free heals or smites if we got in over our heads. My character started talking to her, we'd spend sessions bantering or talking about our pasts, and over time the DM dropped situations where my character could try and develop the relationship into something more than professional, which I took because hey, good RP is good RP.

It also helps she's described as a tall, muscular woman with glossy black lips, an ample figure and has aged "gracefully."

Despite initially not thinking I'd like Iron Gods, I'm really enjoying the campaign. Tech rules and hardness are still shit, but the rest of it's been cool. Adamantine Construct Bane weaponry is the real MVP.

The scimitar is just for being able to get Dex to Damage, along with possibly using a longbow somewhat competently. I was aiming for a "Wanderer" kind of character thats very flexible and can adapt to situations as needed, so Martial Master for Flexibility makes a good amount of sense to have. He also might have a spirit animal that guides him on his journey.

Guys, my GM and I have come to a halt regarding a combination of feral mutagen and enlarge person exctract.

When i drink feral mutagen (as a medium creature) i gain "The claw attacks deal 1d6 points of damage and the bite attack deals 1d8 points of damage".

When i drink "enlarge person", do my natural weapons (claws and bite) increase with me to "claw 1d8/bite 2d6" or do they stay the same "claws 1d6/1d8"?

The difference in oppinions is that "claws 1d6/bite 1d8" is already a weapon level of a size LARGE creature.

So, what's your ruling? Do my natural weapons grow in size making them as a "huge" creature natural weapons or do they stay the same as a "large" natural weapons?

Isn't it logical - if i have nails 10cm long and incisors 5cm long, and I drink "enlarge person" they become 20cm and 10cm long, respectivly? I already have them at that length, the extract makes them even bigger.

There's rules specifically for gun commonality. They're a pain in the ass for anyone but a gunslinger to use, and they only get them down to 'a thorn in my side' level.

The higher commonality rules downgrade that, making them actually viable.

if you plan on making use of guns in your campaign, go for the Guns everwhere rules. Guns are already kinda shitty due to misfire and having a load mechanic - there's no reason to punish a player for a suboptimal choice further. you need to get a rifle with the reliable enchantment and take rapid reload to get past the longbow.

Bad advice that doesn't help you or answer your question.

With your stats your STR score will be decent enough, you don't need Dex to damage that badly and weapon finesse can be taken through a ninja trick if you're that short on feats.

My advice would be to grab as many ki saving items you can, until then be very careful about when you use them. (Don't go invisible unless you actually need to.)

Forgotten Ninja Trick is probably one of my other mandatory tricks to learn aside from invisibility. It costs 2 Ki Points but gives you access to every other ninja trick in addition to a combat feat if you need it. (Say blind-fight or weapon focus or something).

Grab a ring of ki mastery and if you have a cleric/oracle/decentumdskill you'll want a wand or scrolls of this:
