This is kinda why I like Ajani. With a lot of Planeswalkers, they're humans so they blend in with the local populace with little more than a change of clothes.

On a number of planes, however, Ajani can draw "WHAT IN GOD'S NAME IS THAT?" which I feel is nice for a planeswalker to have as an angle.

We've had literally two sets involving the Gatewatch so far. The first one involved them killing too giant magical monsters that they didn't know were possible to kill, only to have a giant planeswalking dragon that's older than all of them combined show up and tell them off for pulling some stupid shit like that without knowing the consequences.

And so, leaving Zendikar 99% in ruins, they fucked off to Innistrad, which was also dealing with another giant magical monster that was even more powerful and bigger than the last two. They all promptly jobbed to it. Luckily, a necromancer showed up, who helped out a bit, but then she jobbed too. Conveniently, the giant magical monster decided to fuck off, and so the Gatewatch left Innistrad, too, 75% in ruins.

So, which set was it again that they last "pissed on the problem and solved it"?

Ignoring the right or wrong motives of Nahiri and Sorin, they both were kind of sad boys and sad girls once they saw the Eldrazi.

Nahiri fucked off from Zendikar after seeing the Eldrazi partying it up on the plane and /tg/ called her a fucking loser because of it but once she drags Emakrul to Innistrad Sorin acts exactly the same giving up on the plane and just wants to murder her instead of saving his home.

I think a single or duo of Sigarda's Aid is all the deck would really need. Maybe a triple but the thing is totally a dead draw if not in your opening hand. The main equipment would be bonesaw for free flashes to equip and maybe to activate surge costs if you run bushwhacker. It also turns Trainer into an anthem effect and buffs apprentice even if not equipped. Goggles are just value. With Aid that's a 0-1 mana buff that can act as a combat trick.

The deck's got shit hand management though.

The thing is, it doesn't "Die to removal", because it's able to distribute its counters. It can have a lasting impact on the board even if it's killed the turn it's played.

When something is said to "die to removal", it means that it's unable to provide anything of worth if it's shot immediately when it comes in. That's only true if they stack the counters on itself.

This card makes removal an effective 1 for 1/2 which is really really fucking good

/tg/ is so bad athat magic it hurts and the worst part is when this card is a 4 of in a pro tour deck and is played in some modern shell every will be saying how they've always thought the card was ridiculous

It's still doable but I think in 90% of cases you'd rather just be casting Chord of Calling. If I've got 2 creatures in play already I can tutor a sac outlet, or melira/anafenza. It also totally avoids the potential of whiffing.

8/8 trample for five is the worst way to play this card because artifact creatures get killed by a stiff breeze.

If he had wanted to resolve things peacefully, it was as much in his power to do so as it was in Nahiri's. Her thought process throughout wasn't to kill Sorin, she wanted to show him that she had progressed since last they had met and wasn't a wide-eyed, naive little planeswalker who had only just seen the Blind Eternities, and that Sorin wasn't above explaining himself to her. If he had made the effort to start explaining, it would've satisfied what she'd set out to accomplish by starting the fight.

I'm pretty sure the story actively implied she would attack him until he was beaten by her. It had not all that much to do with Avacyn also attacking her. She wanted to prove herself to him that she wasn't just his protege and in context the way she wanted to do that was beating him in a fight.
