So I couldn't for example fuse Saitama and Boros through Niceae. I need the SMT thing for that instead, gotcha

As for devil Tamers, nah I'm talking more about how when you fight Demon Tamers and they summon demons as separable skirmish able unit on map.

Also, does fighting generate Magnetite only in DeSu jump or any fights with Comps and such?

Why specifically only unrequited? Ah well, would've been nice otherwise.

Anyway... Build time! pic only vaguely related.

Location: Eihon village
Villager [Free]
Bride [Free] ...I like the discounts? Also, I guess I'm female for the jump again. I'm noticing a pattern.
Age: 16
>perks
Eye for Detail [Free] Always get sense boosts.
Shepherd [Free] Uh. Okay?
Scribe [200] Oh hey, I finally have legible handwriting. Only took a few hundred years. Cool.
Sing Away The Time [Free] I like singing. That's going to be a hazard for people around me after Infernals, but whatever.
Embroidery [200] I like making fancy things.
Grow Together [300] For the Waifus!
Best Way To The Heart [100] Good food is good.
Window to the Soul [100] Awesome. Vanity and communication.
Beauty Shines Through [100] Moar vanity.
Through Deeds Not Words [100] And communication.
Attired Appropriately [200] This is nice. My clothes are pretty much indestructable, and now they can't be taken away either.
>items:
Period wear [Free] Cool, kinda like this style.
Animal Charm [Free] I'm gonna say... Tiger. Not sure what attribute though.
Tapestries [50] Gotta deck out the warehouse in all the fancy stuff.
Pomegranates 2x [50] Sure. Fruit's fine.
Grape trees [200] Grape TREES. I love things like this. Grapes don't work that way, and getting trees that /do/ work that way is just wonderful. Will evoke a delightfully subtle weirdness in other worlds.
>companions:
Extended Family [Free] Fun for everyone.

Also fights between two Sharing-hax users is fucking rough on the mental processes even ones like my own, I've got three different mutitasking perks at this point I think and the head ache is still debilitating.
>>
>>49245238
In character, never. There's a perk in Black Lagoon that means you'll always be aware of any of your capabilities that would be appropriate for a situation. Out of character, though, I don't have that perk, and have to rewrite things when I realize I've made a mistake. Pretty often.

Going by the myths, not super strong. The idea that it is comes from conflating it with the Luin of Celtchar, with which it shared the property that it had to be kept in a vat of brine to keep it from bursting into flames. But while the Luin of Celtchar could slay entire armies with each strike, Areadbhar was merely super accurate and struck with great force.

Well, as I said last thread, I've recently reread 8-Bit Theater. This lead to me redoing some of my plans for that jump, just slightly.
Which lead to this:

> Goal: To steal things of value.
> Problem: Things are often held by other characters.
> Solution (Discovered Five Days Later): Oh, I picked up Drop from Nintendogs. It makes people drop things they are holding.
> ...
> Wow, that would have been really useful to remember in like a hundred other jumps I've been to.

Now if I can just remember which hundred jumps those were, I'll be in business!

Otoyomegatari WIP V0.93
changelog:
Swapped Embroidery for First Time Is Always The Hardest. Added First Time Is Always The Hardest notes.
> First Time Is Always The Hardest is not truly a soft-cap remover as you don’t necessarily get out any more improvement than you would normally – it just improves reaching your previous limit, and further improvements on top of that prior limit are as hard as they normally would be. On its own it does not remove hard cap or soft cap limits but is still really useful in combination, but 200cp was too cheap so it’s now 400cp.
Changed Old Ways to be less meta. It’s now loads of rusty skills from this time period that you don't already have.
Fixed grape VINES.
Knockout kiss can now be used on anyone in love with you, no limit on repeats/unrequitedness.
Removed (Drop In) from Traveler heading – “Foreigner” plus any Background is the equivalent of dropping in.
My spellcheck can’t decide between “Traveller” and “Traveler”

Sorry have to dump and run. Will respond as able.

>>49244215
No, you don't have to be. You can pick any combination of "Foreigner" and "Background" to be a drop in.

>>49245264
Those kind of grape trees are only found in south america. A bit of a far cry from this setting, so, now corrected.
>>
>>49245942
>That great big blank box in drawbacks
>>
>>49245942
Love the jump, the layout is awesome and it looks amazing. I just wanted to confirm that you don't have to pay to import a companion as either a bride or groom.

>Wedded
>You may import an existing companion into this role for free.
>>
>>49245942
Sister-wife is a term that makes me laugh. Is that supposed to refer to your husband's other wive(s) or what? Or do they seriously call a random friend their sister and their wife?
>>
>>49245926
That is the point. Somebody took the luck, which one of you did it?
>>
>>49245942
Well, I think I've just found the first jump of my new chain!
Also, damn. No more grape trees.
>>
>>49245238
I actually deliberately restrict myself to in-jump perks and a small handful of non-native perks because of this exact problem. I'd rather apply half a dozen perks creatively to solve my problems than try and manage the unwieldy repertoire of my full power. Not to mention that it's more entertaining to try and puzzle together how to combine whatever perks I'm using for maximum synergy and contemplate how they would screw with the setting in general. Even then I benefit more from relying primarily upon in-setting perks because it forces me to improve and master the native abilities at least somewhat as opposed to just letting them stagnate in favor of relying on overwhelmingly superior powers from other settings.
>>
>>49246055
Sister-wife is the technical term used by wifes in a polygamous to refer to one another and their relationship with each other. Multiple wives =/= harem, so it's assumed, and preached, that they aren't fucking.

The take-away is that harems are not ipso facto polygamous relationships within the actual definition of polygamy.

>>
>>49246105
That's what I thought. But moving on from that.

Polygamy and harems don't assume the women are or are not sleeping with each other either way. You must be mixing it up with polyamory.

Sister-wife is the culture's term for BFF. They dont have to be married to the same man, though the canon example are.

There is no extra cost to import an existing companion as a wedded companion. So if you got Wedded for free, you can import someone as your partner for free.

Also i'm not seeing a blank box in drawbacks on my copy? Anyone else seeing it?

Well, what type of person are they? I get that D&D has this stupid thing about non-standard races (almost) always acting in a certain way, but surely he's more than a racial caricature.

Part 6, definitely. Part 7 is almost a complete unknown far as specifics go, and with the idea of Stardust the Super Wizard and his [STAND PROUD] being imprisoned inside Superman's Corpse being under consideration going there is a terrible idea.

Harem is actually the incorrect term used as slang for polygamous wives. Harem is actually a place, it was a place where nobility had female members & young males. They lived there, and oversaw their own affairs. The poor actually have a room for when it's time of the month. Because in Islam it's haram (forbidden) to even touch a woman who's bleeding, because they're considered "unclean" during it.

I thought it will make you laugh. I KNEW that it couldn't be the case but the moment I seen that surfboard that was my first thought.

I wonder... Would Nuclear Plant's worth of power be enough to summon a full power Susanoo?

And now that I think about it, this with you saying it would be possible to teach the stuff technically makes any demon in COMP a companion kinda. Not importable but still?

Expect humanoid Polaris some time in future. When I decide whether to give hair or not.

I do find it funny she basically used Heavenly Throne as a hat
>>
>>49246434
YOU

>>
>>49246651
Maybe something like... a Stand based on protecting others while aiding in destroying the enemy.

Like, let's go with [Paparazzi] because I'm listening to that song right now.

It can mark a willing target somehow (Pins the Stand pulls out of itself? Pictures taken using its own camera-like head?). Then, when a marked target is attacked or wounded by something else, the aggressor is marked with a different but similar thing.

The friendly marks let the Stand User teleport to whoever they want to protect with some sort of condition or range limitation, which can be overriden by the marked person being in extreme danger, while the enemy marks let the user constantly teleport to immediately besides the target but fade away with time if they refrain from attacking someone the user has marked with the friendly version.

And it's an alright punchghost too because aggressive personality and it's not too good without some way of capitalizing on its effects as a baseline human and he got it with CP so him being a dragon won't somehow muddle the waters.
>>
>>49246794
You're talking about DeSu 1 Susanoo, right? He wasn't that far behind Gnarly, so you'd probably need more than a nuclear plant's worth of energy to summon him at full power.

Eh, I suppose, though you won't be able to give them perks or back grounds, and you'd only be able to have two out at a time.

Oh, humanoid Polaris art? That sounds interesting, looking forward to that. Yeah, that's the funniest thing. The Heavenly Throne can be like a hat, Alcor used it by floating above it while it was constantly orbiting itself, it's ironically not very throne like.

I shall connect my COMP to S2 engine. Or my Nicaea phone.

DeSuAnon, you are a cool guy.

Sera vs King of Bel?

Speaking of KoB, does the Bels or demons he summons get summoned at full power or app limits?
>>
>>49247230
S2 engines only produce as much power as a nuclear reactor, though, so it wouldn't help. You'd need either a stronger power source or a hefty bit of energy storage to build up your output.
>>
>>49246434
I also combined this with Infested from Warframe and Prototype.
>>
>>49247230
>Sera vs King of Bel
This is the second time I've seen this question. And I'm kind of confused about it. The Sera background is about communicating with spirits and gods and helping others, where as Bels and Whistles is about being the king of demons, the ruler of Hell, the arch-enemy (or Messiah) of God. They're not even in the same kind of category.

They're summoned at full power, though keep in mind, summoning Nyarlathotep, for example, at "full power" isn't going to give you an Outer God level being. Because SMT is bullshit, and for some reason he's weaker than the creator god of Japan.

Hey Red, just a suggestion, but I think followers of Khorne should have a perk for strategy and combat skill, followers of Tzeentch should have perks for scheming, followers of Slaanesh should have appearance and temptation perks, and followers of Nurgle should have perks for evolutionary knowledge and for communicating with and controlling viruses or something. And I guess followers of Chaos Undivided would have a perk for bringing sides that would normally oppose/attack each other together for a common purpose. Just thought I'd say something, since you asked for suggestions before.
>>
>>49247419
Nah, I mean Sera as character at full power versus Abel as King of Bel.

So if I companion Abel, he can summon demons at Full Power, hm.

...I am having a hard time determining Susanoo's full power. He's beneath Nyarly but... Let's say he does a slash with sword, what's biggest or toughest thing he can cut?

Considering his level it will determining rest, a lot.

And then I summon Susanoo in Naruto

>No Generic Wizard of Oz jump, that's a blatant rip-off of the Disney Princess jump, where you and your companions get put in the roles
Is this a good idea, or a bad idea? Is it possible to somehow stretch that out to 10 years, or would it just use its own time rules? Maybe a gauntlet, to justify just flat-out ignoring the time rules? Would it necessarily close off a more in-depth Oz jump that's not just based on a single movie movie?
>>

Meant Susanoo as in Omega Race from DeSu2.

Although I think that actual full power Susanoo would have traits of both Deity Race and Omega and all. Like, again the different DeSu's version of him as fusion are just different expressions of his power within constraints of Devil Summoning App. Basically like how in Nasuverse a Servant can be summoned as different classes with different stuff available
>>
>>49247564
There are like a dozen Oz books. You could easily spend a decade in there. A normal jump would work fine.
>>
>>49247531
Wasn't there some weird Chaos jump floating around before? She could look at that too, assuming it still exists.
>>
>>49247532
>Sera vs Abel
Oh, then Abel stomps. Keep in mind, in Naoya's ending, he's supposedly kicking the shit out of God's army. He was also able to summon several incredibly powerful demons with casual ease, and he beat the real Metatron at full power.

Just a slash? Probably at least a tank, maybe even a battleship, given that in the Evil Overlord ending an Arioch stomps a tank.

>>49247597
Not necessarily. Susanoo is not a multiversial being like Lucifer, DeSu 2 is an entirely different version of him. Unlike Lucifer or YHVH, there is no "true" or "full power" Susanoo.
>>
>>49247674
Perhaps, but Belial as a boss is lower level than Susanoo. Perhaps again, it's just a matter of the fact that one program puts more restrictions than others? I mean, DeSu 1 one appears to help, he isn't summoned through the App so that version is him without or with less limitations? I am saying this because:

1. In DeSu 2 he is level 60 while in 1 he is 72
2. The DeSu 2's resistances are such are shit compared to DeSu 1's Susanoo.

But then I guess this would be Fanwank realm honestly. Hm.

Well, S2 engines/angel cores are purely organic, aren't they? So nothing prevents you from gene-engineering a better version.

And does anything prevent you from having more than one and linking them together?

You should connect your comp to the Microverse Battery from Rick & Morty, much better energy output, especially if you directly improve that very mini universe for energy output, like constructing a bunch of Supreme Commander stuff in it.

Be an Angel.

Have Dark Binding or stuff that gives you stuff from things you eat. Like Primal Zerg stuff

Eat the Angels.

Your body is now powered by multiple S2 organs
>>
>>49248012
They're pseudo-organic, you'd need the metaphysical biology perk to make new versions. As for networking them, maybe. The MP series does something that kind of looks like that. So it's probably possible. I'm just saying, there are better power sources than S2 organs/engines. Like, the amat generators in Legacy of the Aldenata have ridiculous power output for their size. Or the miniaturization and efficiency power in Worm lets you make fusion reactors the size of watch batteries. Or GN Drives, in Gundam 00. Or Supreme Commander generator tech to wirelessly transmit energy to your machine. Or all sorts of stuff.
>>
>>49248079
There's already someone eating the Angels, though. Armisael's doing that. So you'll have to kill them, first.
>>
>>49248079

Eh. Some things I don't agree with in how they've progressed, but I really can't deny that this presents me a golden opportunity that I would not have had otherwise.

>inb4 "HERETIC"

The idea of demonic forces intrigues me. I'm fascinated by it on a lot of levels, because in a way they're a mirror of us. Darker, more primal things that we could become. We don't fear them or hate them just because of what they can do, but because of how well they know us. It's not a temptation if we weren't capable of it, you can't just make someone forsake their own kind for power if the thought never crossed their mind. Chaos... while they take that idea to its logical (and a lot of the times illogical) extreme, they're a perfect example of that. They're a direct reflection of humanity, even if they're a horribly, HORRIBLY exaggerated one.

That's what drew me to want to do Black Crusade. It's the demonic influences that could be done, dashed in with the promise of letting one's individuality shine. It's getting to see what people take, and see what it says about them in the process.

In a way, I get to see what happens when people are faced with the darkness. And if it terrifies them to the point where they scurry away to the light, wishing to slaughter such things in fear of what it says about them.

>>49248958
Is the series worth reading? I mean I thought John Ringo's stuff was okay and I liked David Weber's vampire story.
>>
>>49248892
I think it's possible. The protagonist of the books defeated the Achuultani with a couple years head start and no out of context superpowers or technology. Now, humanity did suffer more than .01% of its population lost. But you have a minimum of two millennia head start and all your non-magical jumper abilities. I fully believe that you can forge humanity into a force capable of defeating the Achuultani in that time. And the loss condition can be dealt with easily enough just by expanding humanity's population. Again, you've got a minimum of two thousand years to spread mankind to the stars, that's time enough to enlarge the population so much that you could lose entire worlds and not have it be .01%.
>>
>>49249007

It makes me feel that all these people did not think good or evil desires but instead just went the regular "I wonder what I will have for dinner" or stuff. Thinking about the NOW instead of future.

Also, does our jump end immediately after Errai is defeated or we get a few moments in the new world if we chose to go with that, or regressed one to undo damage, to say goodbyes?

Alright, speaking of humanity in the Megaman/X/Zero timeline, I've got a question for y'all: how do we get the humans of Neo Arcadia to wake up and see the reality of the nightmare their paradise has become? Thousands of innocent reploids are declared mavericks and brutally murdered every day in order for humanity to maintain it's pampered life style. Even when Weil takes over, many of the humans who flee Neo Arcadia still look down on the Resistance, acting as if they were just as bad as Weil, with the 'sympathetic' leader even going as far as to subtly imply that Weil only took over because they killed off Copy X, despite the fact that the clone was only better than Weil because he wasn't being a dick for the purpose of being a dick. So, how do we get them to realize that what's going on is wrong?

Maybe he did the contracts the old fashioned way for them, or just opened a gate or such into Demon World and they just came out when he called for them?

The app just automates the rituals and shit, turning demons into data and transferring them through special waves...

Maybe these demons were already around but sealed in some way like how JPs sealed some demons? That would explain Black Frost.

Maybe... He just does regular rituals really really fast, using his Septentrione powers? He could do it the same way Belial and others summoned their own underlings.

Yeah, last one works. It's basically like how Kaido summoned Pazuzu and Keisuke summoned Yama. Strong emotions worked for them, Alcor just shined some of his power instead. This could be why he didn't have any demons with him in party in Septentrione hypercube form, when fighting against you or defending you from Miyako. It uses some of his power. Otherwise he just abuses Nicaea as admin.

As for YHVH... What does he look like in that case? What is his vessel or Avatar?

Does he just appear as Jesus?

Forcing your daughters into a political marriage for peace is not justice.

Especially since you first fight his incarnations, weaker than their respective game final boss versions, governing each of the Universal Factors. You get these back to power up to fuck him up. In game terms, the factors boosted each other. Heat Factor did area of effect fire. Time Factor granted two actions per turn, Space Factor granted Infinite Range, I forgot what gravity did.
>>
>>49250213

Errai becomes SMT YHVH. His first form was that of Gold Head, after getting Factors and all its the "Many Gold Heads", while his incarnations that hold factors are weaker than they were in games because he just made them/is getting used to this power

OI, DeSu.

What does Record Breaker perk even do? I mean, are we unable to prevent Death Video deaths from happening without it?

And the "can't be erased" part seems odd considering Hibiki who this was based off... Got erased. So I don't know what this does. Is it protection against Reality Warpers or...?

Ah, so the stat boost just pumps us to level 99 with a few extra stat points?

The "magic stops working" is odd. If we link this with DeSu 1, what about YHVH and DeSu 1 demon summoning, or Abel's KoB powers if he became one? Is it just that Alcor's way of doing things stops working, but other methods work?

Grated if we win Errai Rising everything should work fine because it's same world but Admins are scared shitless. And Canopus is dead and thus can't automatically Void the planet.

So… this was a strange one. We started out as a normal adventuring band. we did several jobs, even a couple for Elminster but then we started to stumble on to some workings of a cult.

It was some cult to some ancient elder gods or something that were called the Hulks of Zarentha. I won’t lie I was expecting green skinned world wrecking Chuhlu’s. I was actually a little concerned. So we tracked down the cult. Went over battle plans even infiltrated the cult for a bit to gather info.

Apparently it was ran by some Frost giant huckster who was using it as a means for power. This was kind of refreshing because I was expecting Chuhlu style cultists. This guy was just a Warlord. Anyways there was this moon elf there… she seemed more sad than anything else but seemed to be the one really working to revive these creatures.

Well we didn’t arrive quite in time to stop the ritual to awaken the Hulks. It was ok we had prepared for this. They turned out to be 20 foot talk rock men things except for one who was a statue guy with wings.

Things seemed dire so we moved in and hit them as hard as we could with everything we could.

It was a decent fight but nothing on an apocalyptic scale. They were tough and might have given a weaker party trouble. The one did backstab me but not bad enough to cause damage. By the end I was a little disappointed. They were tough but I am sure there were dozens of other people on the planet who could have taken them.

Anyways the elf lady snapped, I could tell she was more broken than evil so after we mopped up what was left of the cult I actually worked with her for a bit. Seeing that the root of her problems was feeling ignored and plain I let her trade power and intelligence for charisma and beauty.

She seemed happier and by the end was no longer a threat of awakening any more elder evils.

possibly a dumb question, but in the KnK jump, is the mystic eyes of life perception offered the canon eyes for shiki?

I had a flash of Brilliance.

Instead of Sword of Polaris making it so Alcor is a backup copy, or that we were made when Polaris saw what Alcor was giving to humans and all... I was thinking about an alternative.

This gave birth to a whole new perk idea. Sword of Arcturus.

Now, I dunno if that and Sword of Polaris would be exclusive or if something odd happens if you take both
>>
>>49250712
Record Breaker is basically an anti-fate perk, that also prevents someone from just conceptually erasing you. Hibiki, it should be noted, actually wasn't erased. Despite being hit by a direct blow from Canopus (who, remember, is said to have been able to launch perfectly lethal attacks with the full force of Space, Time, Heat, and Force) and yet some, admittedly very little, of his data survived.

It doesn't automatically make you level 99 (though you should be against Errai) but it does boost all your stats, yes.

It's only Alcor's way. Nicaea functions with the Administrative system, so without that, Nicaea no longer functions.

>>49250810
Yes.

no, they aren't; not that Shiki at least. Those are Roa's eyes from Tsukihime. I didn't want to get flayed alive in here for offering MEoDP and this was similar enough to give the flavor of it but not absurdly broken like the real thing.

No, Tohno doesn't. That's the point: Ryougi has the exact same eyes as Tohno, but also a separate connection to the root, which is what allows here eyes such versatility. If you take her eyes, you get Tohno's eyes, but have to find a connection to the root separately and otherwise don't have a ridiculously large metaphysical construct following you around.

What I wanna know is, why bother stealing the eyes.

Data Drain's already on the table, just use OCP to kick Ryougi's ass (but not so much her third "personality" comes askin') to get the eyes instead of doing some stupid Orochimaru shit. The boost from her Origin would be part of the package anyway. Saying otherwise is like saying that because you don't have the X-Factor, Data Draining mutants wouldn't actually give you anything. Or more appropriately, that take a drink Data Draining a Worm Cape wouldn't give you their power. Which while an understandable opinion remains incredibly stupid.

In the SMT jump, the guardian race says it has magic immunity (and absorb fire/elec and null ice/wind IIRC) and the Lord of vermin does too (has absorb all magic except holy/expel, which is only nulled). How does the magic immunity both of them have compare to the Negima/Dresden Files magic immunity perks?
>>
>>49251614
That's because the only reason its in there is because the jump maker wanted to help out his friends build. Hell, he admitted as much in thread.
>>
>>49251918
Fanwank it. There should obviously be an upper limit to your immunity (you can't be tanking Giga Slaves ever) and Almighty (i.e. magic originating from a non-mortal source) will still fuck you but you're invulnerable to pleb-tier magic.
>>
>>49251918
Also, if I fuse Herald and Lord of vermin with Herald as the base, can I switch Lord of vermin over to holy instead of unholy? Like make the corruption aura something more akin to the Herald's damage aura in nature (though still exactly as damaging as the original aura), make it so I absorb holy and null death instead of the other way around, make it so you still ping as holy to things that can detect such, and just generally be a holy Lord of vermin?
>>
>>49252077
So something like negima's "can tank up to baelfire" limit would be fine?
>>
>>49251918
Unlike Negima, they have a limit. I think LoV was supposed to be vague, but you aren't supposed to be able to tank classic Steven Strange.
>>
>>49252155
Just pointing out >>49252077 has absolutely no basis for 'upper limit' stuff. Until you get word from the author, probably easiest on the IRC, you shouldn't assume anything.
>>
>>49251918
As far as SMT is concerned, a level 1 demon with null fire will shrug off the most powerful fire attack in the game from a level 99. It's just flat out "No, fuck you, fire attacks don't hurt me." Now, keep in mind that Almighty spells will still wreck your day, so don't get too cocky.

>>49252077
Pretty sure Giga Slave would count as Almighty anyway.

>>49252134
You'll have to ask SMTAnon about that, though.

>>49252166
Eh, as far as SMT the game is concerned there's no upper limit, but hey, SMTAnon might have ruled differently, who knows.

Progress report!

>Errata'd the AoE III jump because explaining that I was convinced to change the meaning of the original wording would take a while and I'm feeling very lazy today, also there were some complaints so two of the three are addressed
>wondering if I should just use buffed WC1 unit abilities for the WC1: Orcs & Humans perks or go more for lore

And an all-spoilers announcement because it's two parts confession, one part concession, and one part "am I sure I want to do this."

>I literally no longer care what happens to the Sailor Moon or Johnny Test jumps. Those seem to be the two biggest points of contention concerning me right now and the only time either of these franchises even comes to mind for me anymore is when it's brought up as charges against me.

Plus that gives me more room to do something new.

I'm tempted to set Ouran High School and Totally Spies loose in the same way (because again I don't even really think about those series much anymore) but I legit don't know if anyone cares enough to pick them up.

>I'm iffy on doing this with Beyblade, but you could do actual jumps with regular backgrounds for Bakuten Shoot, Metal Fight, and Zero-G, so if anyone's willing to pick up the original or Zero-G I'd be willing to do the Meta Fight portion I guess.

>Also I've clarified for myself something I suspected for a while now. I don't actually like doing updates, especially not multiple updates for the same Jump. I'm too far in on the Ninjago update to stop now, and I'm not inflicting Fairy Tail on anyone else (because I'd rather not be on the receiving end of that, either), but I actually do not have much fun doing updates.

>I only point this out because I find it odd, both the realization itself and the fact that I didn't realize it sooner.

>>49252231
So if you don't care, can I work on an actual one to do it justice?

And as for the third complaint (about mundane purchases), the Fountain of Youth (which is in the (still not done) scenario based on the campaign mode) is the most fantastical thing in the entire game. Next on the "unrealistic" tier is the sheer conspiracy of the Circle of Ossus.

...aaaand I just got a perk idea I didn't have half a year ago. Maybe two. Nothing concrete yet, but there's something.

>>49252382
No. The normal one doesn't cover any of the series forms well enough, certainly not the anime. I don't believe the anime and manga differ enough for separate jumps so I'll endeavour to include content from both and include options to go to one or the other. Possibly even one to take what you like from each of them.

>>49252305

Second paragraph of Page 41.

I "ruled" it as below Classic Strange levels in-thread because you need to either be delusional or so powerful the immunity working or not doesn't matter to legitimately consider someone who's a peer to the cosmic embodiment of reality itself lesser than a deity.

Also, that part calls itself "jumpmaker approved fanwank", so you can ignore it anyway if it's that problematic to you.

>>49252579
I'd more likely not do specific senshi but include a small system to create your own. >>
>>49252231

ALL the Sailors are ridiculously powerful in both series. It's just that most of them top at around planet level (Though that can actually be way more then planet level depending on how you interpret certain feats) while Moon gets to galaxy or even universe level (Depending how you interpret some stuff or which translation you've read). Galaxia is also super strong, Cosmos probably is too but we never see her do anything of substance.

What defenses? Fiends as written don't seem to have any. You get to detect the state of living beings, use one of your passions as a "scythe", auto-kill mooks and the terminally depressed, and detect protagonists. That's it. No notable defenses/immunities or powers other than those. Which makes fiend really underwhelming compared to all the other 1000 CP races unless I'm severely underestimating the "scythe". But I don't think I am since it scales to be more difficult the better you get at your passion, and enemies won't stop and leave you be for several minutes in the middle of a fight to let you make a poem, or fiddle or something.
>>
>>49252902
Replace it with Guardian or Lord of Vermin if you'd like.
>>
>>49252902
That's why you abuse timestop and write a novel instantly from their perspective.
Or you know pick a different demon and grab a death note instead.
>>
>>49252902
The auto-kill isn't limited to terminally depressed and mooks. It's anyone who lacks a strong reason to live beyond survival. And both death effects let you kill anything, bypassing literally every defense, amount of health, spiritual strength, etc.. They just straight up die.
>>

Well, if you do happen to hit part 7, currently there's a background plot brewing where the leftover stand jawbreaker powered robots from part 6 ally with the atomic supermen from part 5 (who found more of their kind in other labs) in a sort of kinship over both being by products of the WB's fuckery and want to use the Wishing Star (one of the prizes in the big race) to help get equal rights.

Really, atomic supermen and robots should be options on the ccba jump pdf the next time it gets updated.

Having done quick archive delving it's weird, first easy hits are in June of 2015 when using just "Twilight Balefire" as the keywords. But it's stated by a few namefags who are the type to actually know their stuff and keep track. Easy searches for Marvel in particular turned nothing up, but that's just as likely due to the phrasing of the ruling as the ruling never occurring. Does turn up this: http://archive.4plebs.org/tg/thread/37997917/#37998881 but that's a completely different ruling than the Balefire one. I'd say just ask Marvel about it next time he pops up in thread.

Meanwhile if either of you want to go looking the ruling must've occurred within this time frame, so that should help some:
http://archive.4plebs.org/tg/search/start/2014-09-27/end/2015-06-16/page/6/
That's between the first mention of the ruling easily found and the first posting of Negima. Still annoying to sort through but might help some.

That's not it, you're the fourteenth post to use that spelling as far back as the archives go. On a similar note "forgot" and "name" were also eliminated as keywords. "Balefire" is a terrible keyword since Magic has cards with that in their names and there's no way I know of to just search jumpchain threads. Really the easy solution seems to be just ask him, but he's sporadic in posting here, not sure if that's lurking or not though, at very least he pops up in IRC every so often. Shaken to their Bones (Big O)
Once per fight, you can say something to your enemies that will shake them to their bone, unnerving them and giving you an edge even when you shouldn't have logical knowledge. You'll also know why what you say is important.

SICK BURN (Problem Sleuth)
By thoroughly insulting someone you can cause their defenses to lower. This doesn't
just apply to defensive tactics, but also magical and metaphysical defenses. The more effective and well
put the insult, the greater effect it has on their defense. It won't completely remove their defenses unless
you say something so cruel that they're broken and unable to keep fighting anyway.

Perfect Communication Skills (Worm)

Thought about using this as a combo. Decided it'd be too cruel.

How good would an Exsurgent virus be at infecting Psionic networks? I ask because or psionically linked army. It could be bad.
>>
>>49253619
There's also the Maniac from WoD, which lets you perfectly and completely understand someone and how to manipulate them after observing them for a few minutes.
>>
>>49253660
Well, it doesn't just infect by a bacterium would. It also infects like a computer virus. And as a memetic agent. Throughout all vectors, physical and non.

Your army would go down terribly.

Doesn't the Watts-McLeod virus give it's infectiees psionic powers? Does it use that as a vector?

>Throughout all vectors, physical and non.
>>
>>49253573
Did he say why? What if you have perks to resist that kind of thing?
>>
>>49253707
Don't jump Eclipse Phase. Really, that's the answer. Exsurgent is so bullshit it can theoretically transfer via photons. Fucking. Photons. That means if light bounces of a bloated, infected dolphin's corpse from a light year away and a single photon makes it into your eye, you're outta the fucking chain. Thinking about it? That has a chance of infecting you. If you have precognition and the precognition warns you that you will be infected soon, boom! There it goes, that's what infected you. Self fulfilling prophecy.

Either that or keep your fucking head down. No psychic armies, just chill out in reasonably safe places and pray to Jumpchan it doesn't find you.
>>
>>49253770
Because it alters who and what you are, I guess. Including your mind. There's no reason you'd get infected if you DO resist all the vectors it uses, though.

Also you can choose to start as an async if you'd like, so already infected with Watts-McLeod without losing.
>>
>>49253778
Yeah, Eclipse Phase is about as much "humanity is all going to die!" as places like Lovecraft and SCP are.
>>
>>49253770
Even though it'd be impossible to do so without being immediately infected I'm gonna see if I can snatch up a sample of Ex and just inject it into my eyeball when the jump is over. Boom. Loophole.
>>
>>49253758
>>Throughout all vectors, physical and non.
But wait
That means that if one person in your party was an Async, everyone in the party would be an async.

>>49253778
I can control Light with my 「stand」. I'll just do everything in complete darkness
Behind a shield
And inside a type 1 hazmat suit

The rules on Exsurgent are going to have to change or there will be so much salt about EP being a trap jump
>>
>>49253798
I'd honestly say it beats out those and 40k. It capitalizes on this because the victims are transhumanity. Functionally ascending, better, beyond death, age and most disease. Transhumanity is as alien to us as Exsurgent is to Transhumanity. So even if we were ever to become gods there's this thing that will swallow us whole even in our prime. And even if we do win? Exsurgent was fucking MADE as an automatic response to our shenanigans. It's not even a focused weapon. If the creators of Exsurgent even thought about coming our way we'd probably be annihilated without being considered, just because some macroengineering needed to be done in the general vicinity.
>>
>>49253778
So basically it's a trap jump until the jumpmaker decides to let you keep your chain going even if you get infected (cause cause it basically sounds like you are guaranteed to get infected as soon as the jump starts)
>>
>>49253837
Well, one thing people aren't telling you? No strain of the Exsurgent virus does ALL of this. There are uncountable variants of the virus, all of which do different things and function in different ways. No singular strain can do all of it.
>>
>>49253856
You don't want that chain to continue anon, because you're going to, at best, devolve into a Reaver like from Firefly.
>>
>>49253856
It's not that bad. Like has been said, no version of the Exsurgent virus has every infection vector covered. This means that quarantine (and burning the quarantined area out with antimatter) is possible. Most of transhumanity is uninfected. Just stay away from TITAN sites and you'll be fine. The trick is identifying a TITAN site before you're infected.
>>
>>49253881
But a psionic vector is pretty much unstoppable.
Unless... Unless we all get psishields from XCOM
>>
>>49253780
>>49253869
It just seems kind of weird that you'd still fail even with something like the Cyborg capstone from Robocop.
>>
>>49253913
Fortunately for transhumanity, Exsurgent-derived psionics have short ranges. They also, for unclear reasons, work a lot poorer on infomorphs than biological entities. So it's still possible to quarantine them with remote-operated robots.
>>
>>49253778
There has to be an alt form sufficiently alien that the exsurgent virus can't interact with it. Maybe an Eva angel based on Leliel?

>>
>>49253937
That's because the Exsurgent virus doesn't corrupt you. It eats you, and then repurposes your remains. Don't think of it like mind control, think of it like a zombie virus that can infect anything. If something infected by Exsurgent acts at all like the thing it was before the infection, that's just because the new exhuman is mimicking the original for some strategic purpose. To get closer to new targets to infect, most likely. There is no continuity of consciousness with the Exsurgent virus.
>>
>>49253913
Not that anon, but a psionic vector would just infect your mind, right? Like a memetic cognitohazard from SCP.
SCP Foundation jump has a perk that is a flat out… not 'immunity', but a perfect shield against memetic stuff. Just flat out censors anything that would fuck with your mind like that.

And if you want to be That Guy about, a memetic attack logically should only work on someone who's similar enough to the baseline target (humans). Hypothetically, a sufficiently old/crazy Jumper might think differently enough from normal humans to not be infected by something like that.
>>
>>49253940
The Exsurgent virus works on aliens.
>>
>>49253977
What about going back in time before the virus was released?
>>
>>49253913
Just be something made of magic or souls or some other OCP angle of attack.
>>
>>49253983
You're making the mistake of assuming the original strain was designed to target humans. It was not. It was designed to fuck up anything that tampered with the gates. The first hit were actually humanity's super AIs, the TITANS. Which is why they are now horrible evils that almost destroyed the species then fucked off somewhere.
>>
>>49253940
Sure, for most variants of the virus. Exsurgent is a danger not because it's this single omnipotent virus, but because there are so many different forms of it. So being immune to most forms of it is possible. Possibly even all forms that are present in the Solar System as of the time you jump it. Just don't get arrogant about it. There are a LOT of variants, could be one out there that can infect you.
>>
>>49253988
Angels are composed of exotic matter, described as "light energy condensed into a solid state.". Leliel in particular is also a weirdly dimensioned angel that projects a three dimensional shadow. I was just thinking of something hopefully completely out of context for their laws of physics.

Psi Shield from X Com and >>49253983 against psionic vectors. Could willpower perks make you at least resistant to infection/

The plethora of immunity perks for biological vectors.

Attack barriers from ghost in the shell for Digital viruses. Maybe the AI companions from Generic VR world jump could help too, or they could get infected.

Nanotech viruses might be a bit more difficult to counter. Shields might work, like borderlands tech.

Basalisk is going to be a pain without the mentioned SCP perk.

anything else?
>>
>>49254033
Oh sure, if you have unlimited time travel you can convince humanity and the TITANS that fucking with the gates will end horribly and solve all the major problems in the setting forever.
>>
>>49254006
You're getting some details wrong. The ETI designed the Exsurgent virus specifically to target the TITANs, they weren't just the first to be infected. It was the TITANs themselves, corrupted by Exsurgent, that invented all the new strains to corrupt other forms of life and technology. And it wasn't a gate that infected them, it was just a probe. The TITANs made the gates.

>>49254064

Okay, I am a little confused because some of what I'm reading here doesn't match with what I know about EP lore. I don't know where you're getting this "all vectors" thing.
For example, there is no canon strain that is transmitted purely by psi contact (yet), or purely on contagious photons, unless it's in some obscure adventure I haven't read so I'm going to need a source on that. Maybe it could eventually adapt to do so, but those strains don't match what I know.

The exurgent virus is adaptable, but it's not total infection. It does take time to adapt to a new mode. It does rely on "mostly real" physics.
Even ordinary transhumans can fight it off just with their stats - it's just really bad odds.

The virus has four (canon and known) vectors:
Digital Virus
Basilisk Hack
Bioplague
Nanoplague

The digital virus can't affect people with meat brains directly. But it can infect their mesh inserts (brain computer), and turn itself into a Basilisk hack that's hooked up straight to their brain. So that's not good.
The digital virus is good enough that it infected AI super-intelligences, but since the Fall the Prometheans have been writing digital defenses against it.

The Basilisk hack (space epilepsy) can re-write the neural state of transhumans that watch the signal, but those transhumans themselves can't spread the infection. They have to bring new people to watch the flashy lights, or send the video to their friends. Like, the photons of the signal themselves aren't contagious, but it's the configuration of the signal pattern is what affects you.

The bioplague is basically like your zombie virus - an extremely adaptive one that will eventually get around people's immunities and vaccines, but still can be filtered out of the air, or isolated, or eaten by nanobots in your blood.

The nanoplague is the most dangerous since it's literally tearing your body apart at a molecular level and turning your constituent matter into a new monster.

And any issues that arise in the thread are SB FALSE FLAG RAIDS

And the fact that you are trying to cover it up means that YOU MUST BE ONE TOO

No, you're clearly SB trying to deflect attention onto someone else!

Also, I don't really care about grape trees. I wasn't going to buy them anyway.

Great jump, anyway.
