Best Sigmar art.

Is there any Warhammer mods for an Infinity game out there? I love the Warhammer setting, but the games just feel like arse.
>>
>>49143421
You mean Infinity from Corvus Belli?
Don't really see how that would even work since the game relies on ranged combat more than cc.
Anyway what you can look around for is Mordheim or Warhammer skirmish if you want to play a warhammer skirmish game.

Alternatively you could just play any other game that you like the rules of mechanically and just use the WHFB setting for your games.
There are a bunch of games you should be able to find in the /hwg/ and /awg/ threads.
>>
>>49139833
Geez, no wonder Sigmar never claimed the armor the dwarves made for him.
>>
>>49143508
>Anyway what you can look around for is Mordheim or Warhammer skirmish if you want to play a warhammer skirmish game.

Yeah, Corvus Belli. Although it relies on ranged combat, I'm sure it can be tweaked. Mordheim and Warhammer Skirmish still suffer from the same assness as the battle game. It's great to get the extra depth but it's not really a great skirmish game.

>There are a bunch of games you should be able to find in the /hwg/ and /awg/ threads.

Cheers, I'll go have a browse.

Will anyone ever program an application that could play the table top game online? I'm talking like how someone did with cock at rice for mtg.

My area only has one table top gaming area and the people are some of the most obnoxious assholes. I don't even play with them, but some of these spree lords get into near physical confrontations over the stupidest shit, and even when I asked one to show me the ropes, see if I liked it before dropping hundreds of dollars, he scoffed at my request and said to come back once i, and quote, "learn to use my Fucking eye balls and read".

Needless to say I want to play (skaven to be precise), but don't have all my minis or anyone to really go hands on with. Sultan's guardian

The private military forces of Arabia rulers are known from their loyalty and excellent training. Additionally, they are very well equipped, using best quality weapons and wearing wonderful, silken, bright coloured clothes.
Every Sultan, Caliph, Emir and many lesser noblemen and wizards keep those guards as the core of their defences. Their loyalty is such, that their prepared to die for their master if needed.
Sultan's guardians are the most loyal military unit in all of Arabia, trained in harshest conditions. Persons supposed to become the guardians are usually selected from orphans or children given away by their parents, to show their faith in Ormazd and Sultan.
They usually begin their training when they are young, to "naturally" learn their role. The task of Imams from Eunuchs' Mountain is to find those ready to join Sultan's guard ranks.
The chosen children should show the signs of loyalty and commitment, but also possess a certain kind of natural faith in them. The Imam's experience is very important here. He questions and tests the boys who seem to be the most promising, asking them riddles and subjecting them to various dilemmas. Those who seem promising enough to serve are taken away from orphanages or family homes.
During their training at the Eunuchs' Mountain they pass a series of trials, which test their endurance, combat skills and commitment. The final test is taking a journey to a city with Imam, while being constantly attacked and the young warrior must not allow the Imam to be kidnapped by the attackers. Should he fail, he must wait a full year before taking the trial again. If he succeeds, he becomes the Sultan's guardian.
The main role of Sultan's guardian is protecting the Sultan, his palace and every landlord to whom he pledged his loyalty.

There you go anon, hope I didn't make too many grammatical mistakes along the way.

>>Strangely, some veterans from the Storm mention how Volkmar the Grim seems to not have aged a day. Deep in their cups they whisper that he looks as young as he did back then, and acts with the strength and vigour of a man half that age.

I want to do this for WFRP, but I'm not sure at what point my players should tackle it. I want them to eventually find out why, kill off Volkmar and install his replacement , but not too early so as to not be ingratiated with such powerful people in their first career.

Hey guys, 2 questions:

1) I found a night goblin sprue with 5 of them and want to make some kind of war-litter for the night goblin box as a proxy for the cave squig mount, Is it a good idea or not? Does someone did something like this before?

2) Can someone tells me the base size of the night goblin boss on cave squig?

I'll probably use 4 goblin spearmen to hold my night goblin big boss

I like to imagine how the nobles of Bretonnia and the Empire 'imitate' each other to insult the other country's nobility.

Like, the Empire nobles will walk around with a bowlegged gait and stick their nose up in the air, making their voice as reedy as possible and sniffing as they go around the room, commenting on various things. "By the Lady! This wine is from 2510! Lances at dawn!" "By the Lady! This piece of chicken is dry. Lances at dawn!" Then they would skip over to a friend who's acting as a proper Imperial gentleman, the skipping supposed to be like that of a prancing pony, and pretend to fall back over. "By the Lady! You were unchivalrous for defeating me! By the Lady!" They might also have a laugh by charging at other random objects - statues, pillars, tapestries - and getting 'defeated' in the same way.

The Bretonnian lords, in contrast, will hunch over a bit and stroke a long imaginary beard while speaking in a grumbling peasant voice with a bunch of hard German sounds worked in. "Zigmur's blessinks, mhm, wat'ren me cropz, yah'um." "Schnot enuff gunpowdah, ja ja. Itch need enuuf ta schoot from fa, fa aweh." Another Bretonnian lord acting as a proper Bretonnian would show up, and the 'Empire noble' would fall back in distress, hiding behind tables or chairs. "Schnell, schnell, get der peasants ter protek me, ja ja! Ich been scurd, scurd!"

However, there undergo strange changes. Beastmen in the Old World when they grow stronger, become transform into more bestial forms.

True Beastmen who grow stronger become more human. The True Beastman Chieftain who served Archaon, gradually transformed from a horrible beast to a handsome brute.

Posting actual lore from the novel

>The Southern Wastes were all but unknown by the men of the east and west and avoided by the elder races. Only the daemon, the monster and the beastman swarmed its black ice floes and mountainous wilderness. Tribes of savage half-breeds fought for warmth in their bones, flesh in their bellies and territorial supremacy. Many were ice barbarians, who wore the frost-threaded furs of conquered enemies and wielded primitive weapons of bone and stone. With no ‘men’ in the Southern Wastes there were no true ‘beastmen’, such as Archaon had encountered everywhere else on his doomed travels. The creatures of the Southern Wastes were an eye-stinging fusion of beast and lesser daemon, the infernal entities that plagued the benighted wilderness with their malevolence. They were beastfiends, led by the foetid best of their kind. Brutes blessed with either dark cunning or murderous might. Shamans who read tribal destinies in blood-splatters on the snow, the distant serration of mountain peaks and the crooks of exotic lightning that afflicted the skies. Beastlords, tyrant-gors and infernal bulls of brazen horn and mountainous muscle. Some suffered the specific sponsorship of Ruinous Gods, with monstrous mongrels and daemon princes leading warherds of the warped, the diseased, the obscene or the blood-mad.
>>
>>49153957
no, nothing stops you from having a sword wielding dwarf I think.
>>
>>49154266
>Archaon had united many of the beasts, as was his gift. He was an exalted champion of darkness and the children of Chaos could see that. When confronted with one chosen of the Ruinous Pantheon, they expressed themselves in varying ways. Many simply attacked, like the wild things they were. Deep in their tainted flesh they needed to test him or at least sacrifice their herdkin on the altar of his dark sovereignty. Others had been warned of his coming by shamans and dread prophets, and lent Archaon their horde-strength out of the perversion of spiritual sympathies. Others still saw the growing army coming out of the north, with Archaon at its head, and felt fear or admiration. They saw opportunities for savage communion with their dread deities in the wars to come. The slaughter that seemed to find the champion of Chaos. The unending brutality that stalked his benighted plate and the god-bane of his steel. The butchery that seemed forever in his path.

>Some said in their beast tongue that he was uniting the tribes and warherds of the Southern Wastes under a single banner of eternal bloodshed. Some that he was leading them to greater glory about the infernal palaces of the pole– to the Great Gate and the oblivion beyond. To promised lands of fresh suffering and slaughter that they had never known. A few even whispered, with their thick tongues and fang-crowded jaws, that Archaon intended to end the world– and not just the world, but all the worlds that were and would ever be. And man, beast and god would come to know their end at his hand and the power of catastrophe he wielded with it. Whatever the truth, the half-breeds of the Southern Wastes fought, they failed and they fell in behind the droves of beastfiends, pack monsters, centigors and the caravans of herd-sleds that churned up the black snow in Archaon’s wandering wake.
>>

>>
>Other changes inflicted by the horde’s time in the Realm of Chaos were more dramatic. The perverse, warping effects of their immersion had stripped the half-breeds of their bestial natures. Snouts had receded, horns had willowed and thick fur had fallen out. While they were still daemon-sired fiends, their animal appetites, thick tongues and the dullness of their brute minds were gone. These were beasts who had transformed into men. Manfiends, who while still small mountains of barbaric muscle, were now things of human cunning and infernal spite– quick of mind and fleet of hoof. Ograx the Great was still an imposing wall of brawn, wielding his fearful skull-axe, but like the horde he led, the creature had forgotten the foetid savagery of a former life in the Southern Wastes. While the lower half of his body was living brass, his powerful legs were engraved with Ruinous symbols, fretwork and decoration. His infernal features and crown of horns might now have been described as darkly handsome and were truly those of a prince.

>It was sometimes difficult to tell how the chimeric fusions and monstrosities of the horde had changed, since they were already warped carcasses of abominate affliction. Jharkill the huntsman, however, no longer carried his shaman’s staff, with its cross bar and dangling charms. A huge rack of black antlers had sprouted from the ogre’s head, proud and twisted like those that might belong to a monstrous stag. The charms and tokens that held the titans, predatory creatures and chaotic abominations of Archaon’s horde in check now swung from the forest of snags on the ogre’s antlers.

And here the Southern Beastmen transforming into manbeasts.

The novel says that these Beastmen were fathered by daemons. Ograx's father is a Bloodthirster. Can any explain how this can happen?

What. So Dwarfs just don't use swords for no reason? They don't fight among themselves and their foes are rarely armored well, so the use of explicitly hammers and axes seems silly.

They despise elgi and umgi weapons.

As Lupio rests in his tent at the end of the battle, a flaxen haired maid with eyes the color of ice appears in his tent, armed with a spear and a shield.

Ever a trusting man, lupio doesn't wear any weapon on him, trusting his men to protect him.

As he reaches to yell for his guard, the maiden smiles at him. Suddenly lupio is filled with visions of his days in the streets of bilbali, where he was beaten by boys older and stronger than him. His stint as an adventurer into lustria passes in front of his eyes. He sees friends and comrades killed all around him, drenched in blood, but he is as clean as the snow.

When his eyes return to the present, he sees that a crowd of men have surrounded him. Lying before him is a suit of armor, forged so perfectly that it is clear that no human hand has ever worked on it. Runes of destiny lay upon it, marking Lupio Sunscryer as a hero chosen by the goddess.
>>
>>49155025
Dorfs don't make sense, they are fey and put superstition and traditions over common sense.
>>
>>49155025
Swords are flimsy weapons used by beardless weaklings; only the axe and hammer truly express and properly utilize the might of the Dwarfen arm.
>>
As his men rest for the rest of the season in Luccini, word of this miracle spreads. From several tilean towns and cities, and all of estalia, word spreads of Lupio Sunscryer, who has been armored by the goddess herself. He becomes a leader of much renown
>>
Sensing an opportunity, Lupio begins the march on Miragliano. His spies have informed him that the Miraglianese league is muster their forces to retake all of tilea from his hands.

Leonardo di Catrazza has swelled the size of the considerable and modern garrison of the city with his levied forces. Another army is beginning to assemble outside, led by a certain Luigi Bruno.

Should the three forces muster, Lupio's expedition will be overwhelmed. He must strike now.
>>
>>49155089
It seems to make much more sense that the Dwarfs wouldn't see the sense in a hand-weapon that cannot also be used as a tool (like hammers and axes).
>>
>>49155285
I was about to mention that military axes and such usually aren't suitable for tool uses, but then again this is fantasy and the Dorfs probably would manage to make weapons effective in either role.
>>
The estalian forces are arrayed for battle near one of several elven ruins that dot the lands beyond the empire. The slightly chilly air of fall means the men will fight with more vigor.

The tileans will be disorganized, coming back from the city. If the estalian riders are to win the cavalry advantage, they can harrass the tileans with their superior mobility and run down the fleeing men before they can regroup,
>>
The tileans arrive in surprisingly good order, protecting their artillery. The two forces are evenly matched in blackpowder weaponry, meaning the side with the greater numbers, or the greater mobility will prevail.
>>
In a display of bravery and impetuousness, the lightly armored riders charge the artillery battery of the tileans.

In their rush to destroy the estalian forces, they have left their artillery unguarded.

While the brave estalians are shelled as they approach the foe, their courage and camaraderie ensures that they do not break.
Firing at the batteries, they charge with cries praising Myrmidia.

They'd be cooler if they could wear clothes or armor, and weren't half-insane at best. I just can't imagine a feral vampire hiding in a crypt managing to form an army of any sort, or using tactics beyond rushing them in a mob.

why? why is it that we have a world full of different races created by the old ones, magical beasts like dragons that predated even the meddling of the old ones, and Lizardmen, but for the past 20 years, every race mentioned that derivates a little bit is immediately a warp influenced creature?

why can't the monkeymen of Cathay not be a prototype to the humans? Why can't there be Kingdoms of sentient Animal Castes in Ind without them being Chaos beastmen?
why why why does everything remotely off center have to be Chaos aligned.

Fishmen? Not Chaos, why does it have to be that "awythin kaosh" that isn't part of classic fantasy settings? That grinds my fucking gears.

The years since the conquest of tilea are a time of great joy for the southern realms. Under a common rule, trade flourishes as never before, and Lupio has the time to improve his skill as a general and leader of men.

Nominally the leader of the combined Estalian command, his duties are largely ceremonial. He spends his time reading books about war and especially the proper usage of artillery.

One day lupio receives a summon from the council, dismissing him from his position as commander of the militia army, and summoning him to the Archecclesiatium of Myrmidia.

Dire tidings have come from the north. The forces of chaos are on the march once more. No enterprising norscan chief, these are but the first fingers of the mighty fist of chaos, seeking to snuff out the world.

There are non-chaos apemen in the southlands, distinct from the ape beastmen that also lived there, for all we know the monkey men of cathay coukd be something similar. Also worth noting that noble beasts like demigryphs, pegasi and griffons are shaped by chaos without actually being tainted like chimera, if that makes sense. >>49157491
Dragon ogres made a deal with chaos to prevent going extinct, they used to be a dominant race but fought a losing war with the dragons and then later the lizardmen
>>
To fight the forces of chaos, mankind must have a front that is free of other dark forces.

The vampires of mousillon have spread undeath forth and cut the empire and bretonnian lands from each other, seeking to grow in strength.

An army of adventurers, contingents of the royal guard and templars of myrmidia answer Lupio's call.

After a month of marching, they lay siege to the main vampire forces in the area that have infested the base of the grey mountains.

Wew lad.
>>
>>49157262
This. I doubt even the Lizardmen are really immune. I'm fairly certain Sotek is a god in the warp as much as any other god in the setting, and the little ways they've changed and deviated are probably due to the faintest of influences of Chaos.

The estalians now deploy in their standard formations, with Lupio Sunscryer leader the reserve personally. Adventurers in tilea, they have fought legendary beasts and monsters and will not balk at the foe, be it daemon or vile undead.

>>49159331

>>
The tilean light cannons begin to fire on the approaching undead. regarded skeptically by the empire and the dwarves, it will be up to the men of the southlands to prove their effectiveness.

But those *are* some sweet-ass swordsmen.

>>49159227
How's diplomacy in Warhammer Total War improved since the last few titles?

It always seemed a little rough with the short term changes in relation, and once a war started with a faction it was usually difficult to force a peace, even when they were losing or no overt warlike actions had been going on for several turns.

In a scenario like you're mentioning - the Undead growing more powerful and cutting off the Empire from Bretonnia - it would suck if they were still at war the whole time, instead of quickly being able to make peace and fight the enemy together.
>>
The right flank of the army is protected by the Order of the Righteous spear. Templars of Myrmidia, the men fight with spear like the goddess they worship. What they lack in the charge, they more than make up for in melee.

Now Brother Torres Medina, spiritual liege of the expedition leads the men against the vile undead threatening the flanks of the army.

>>49159448
Well seeing CA gave this mod their seal of approval along with the mousillon vampires mod, it is as close as we are going to get to tilea and estalia in lore.
>>
The bretonnian corpses keep marching on, unwavering and unrelenting.

>>49159475
I am using a couple of mods that make the empire or bretonnia unable to confederate. If an empire faction is under threat, ti generally confederates with the lead faction. Same with bretonnia and the dorfs.

Under the furious hooves of the templar, the reanimated creatures of the night are ridden down and destroyed. Fell bats and dire wolves are no match for the steel tempered in the temples of myrmidia.
>>
The battle turns into a confused din as units of pikemen fend off hordes of skeletons, zombies and ghouls.
>>
The vampire lord, vincent mercier charges out ahead of his shambling horde. Dressed in the mockery of a knight of bretonnia, he will be a fierce foe. Unfortunately for him, that is exactly how adventurers like it.
>>
Guys look who came out on the battlefield.
>>
Despite their vast numbers, the undead are cheap mockeries of life held together by necromantic energies, they crumble to dust under sustained pressure.
>>
The battle ends as soon as the vampires raising the dead are scared off. Their host crumbles to dust and the men of estalia stand triumphant.

Montfort is put to the torch. The bretons may settle it later, but the taint of undeath must be extinguished root and branch.
>>
>>49159549
Why do you not want them to confederate?

>>49159769
Is that Isabella?
>>
As the army rests and regroups, scouts sent to the pass leading into the empire return with alarming news.
A plague of undeath has spread throughout the southern empire, and the dead rise again to fill the ranks of the von carsteins. The vampire wars have begun.

The expedition unanimously agrees to destroy this threat to estalia at once. Come next campaign season, they will march on Helmgart, and into the empire!
>>
Years of campaigning are hard on men. Many of them become crippled shells of their former selves, or lose themselves to drink or madness. There are a few men however who endure the most maddening conflicts against the foe, no matter how unnatural they might be.

Lupio Sunscryer is one of those men. As a token of his services to estalia and the Goddess, he is presented with a talisman, it is a sign of endurance, and a symbol of all the men of estalia have achieved throughout the years. Even as greated challenges lie ahead for the men of the Estalia, as long as they endure, they shall remain strong.

that concludes this part of the story.

Should I keep doing this or is this taking too much of the thread?

As much as I hate what End Times did, especially in the sequel it spawned instead of being ballsy enough to just leave it at that, I really enjoy the idea of a last, desperate battle for the fate of the world, and the slow disappearance of it as the world ends. Some fight until the very end, some just wait for the destruction to come.

Quick question: I want to get into the Warhammer Fantasy RP. Where do I start? Which edition? Which book is good to have a first campaign with?
>>
>>49165624
2nd Edition is the best edition, with a ton of fan support and supplements. I'd recommend starting with Into the Drakwald, which is the adventure at the bottom of the main rulebook. It's fairly scripted, but it introduces the setting well with a journey from a ruined town to Middenheim with a caravan of refugees. From there the party can go anywhere from Middenheim or continue the story with the supplements that continued it.

So when are we going to close the Poll? I guess there's a good chance the new idea is gonna win. I don't think keeping it running for another week is gonna change too much, atlough it is 24 vs 27 when you only count those who voted for Malekith as PK or against it.

As the drums of war beat again, the Sunscryer expedition marches across the grey mountains and towards the undead bastion of helmgart.

Where bretonnian men at arms or empire state troops would be afraid of the dead, the estalian expedition knows little fear. The undead might be an unstoppable horror to the men of the empire, but they are not led by a hero who has been blessed by Myrmidia herself. The undead outnumber the living as is expected. Shambling corpses and carrion eaters, they will be no match for the forces of the Sunscryer expedition.

>>49166103
make a secondary poll for that then.
>>
>>49166257
>another poll
please no.
>>
The terrain of the empire is unlike the gently sloping hills and flatlands of bretonnia or sparse trees of estalia or tilea. The land is thicky forested and uneven. The battles here will not be won be the thunder of hooves, but by steel and discipline.

The artillery is deployed on a ridge overlooking the tercios of the estalian expedition. For a moment, the adventurers are reminded of several jaunts in far away lustria against the walking lizards.

The trees are not so exotic, or the air is not so stifling, but there is a sense of danger as well. The expedition is far away from home, and unless it can find allies soon, it will be whittled away by the angry dead, one man at a time.

>>49166307
what's wrong with polls? It is the best way to get a consensus.
>>
>>49166413
not if from now on we'll have polls for every little detail.

let's see who wins it and we'll go with that. if you overpoll stuff the people will stop giving a shit.

The horde of the dead begins to come out of the darkling woods, hordes of zombies wriggling, and shuffling towards the living men, skeletons marching in lockstep and several dead beasts and carrion bats attracted to the slaughter.

Lupio Sunscryer orders his men to form a tighter defensive cordon to ward off the foe. The light cannons fire upon the shambling monsters.
>>
On the left flank, brother Torres leads the knights into a devastating charge against the carrion ghouls and zombies. The bags of animated flesh and cannibalistic degenerates are no match for the myrmidons.
>>
In the center, blocks of pikemen keep the shambling hordes at bay, while gunners and artillery send the dead back to morr's keeping.
>>
even the lighter lancers play their part. While they neither have the armor nor the weapons to be engaged in a long melee, the lancers cut through zombies like a hot knife through butter. Entire regiments of the dead crumble as the necromantic magic is beaten out of them with horsepower.
>>
Brother torres medina finds a curious amulet made of obsidan. Known to have the property to resist the most baleful of magics, this amulet would be of great use to the templar during the battles to come against the undead and their vampiric overlords.

While the expedition deals with surviving in a hostile land, a fresh crisis has emerged in the lands west of the grey mountains.

Complex poliical gambits have paid off and the duchy of bordeleaux, outwardly the most powerful of the bretonnian realms has accepted the estalian offer of becoming a client state.

Incensed with this, the duchy of artois has declared a war on the duchy of bordelaux. Messengers from estalia are dispatched to the empire to warn Lupio sunscryer of this threat. He is to cease action against the undead and come to the aid of bordelaux.

The messengers find him as the expedition is crossing from reikland into the undead ruled stirland. The dead regroup fast and the only hope that Lupio had for a victoy was a lighting campaign that would free sytirland and open the approaches into sylvania and the source of the vampiric horrors plaguing the empire.
>>
>>49167263
Why's the poor bastard's lastname "Sunscryer" and not something vaguely Spanish?

And is Estalia significantly different from the Empire in any way?
>>
Estalia is plunged into crisis as the border princes declare war upon the dwarves of the vault.

The border princes were largely a place where scum from the empire were forced to live after their exile and carve out petty kingdoms. Normally, Estalian interests in their neighboring kingdoms lie in pilgrimage to the town of Myrmidens, named after the Goddess.

However, led by a cunning fellow styling himself Prince Valmir, the border princes hace rapidly consolidated into a single kingdom. Seeing the dwarves of the vault as a weak target, they seek to fight a quick war and enforce a peace that will leave them richer and the vault squarely in their sphere of influence.

The Estalian army stationed in tilea is sent onwards to disabuse this prince of such notions. While it is largely a militia force led by Ferrer Martinez, a corrupt and decadent noble, they expect little to no resistance on the march to Akendorf

>>49167278
I don't know, ask CA. I like to think he was the guy on the crow's nest of the ship and looked at the sun all day. When he became ennobled, he took on the name of sunscryer because its kinda exotic.

That's right, 32 new Araby-themed careers. Let me know if anything is fucked. Next up, the mechanics of Sand Magic, Capturing Djinn, and the Lores of Ormazd and Azyata
>>
While on the road to Myrmidens, the militia army led by Ferrer Martinez is challenged by a smaller force of the border princes. They are led by Prince Valmir himself seeking to end the estalian advance into the hinterlands of Myrmidens or Zvorak.
>>
>>49167412
You can rename your characters.
>>
Valmir leads the charge against the vanguard of riders on a griffin even as the batteries of estalian mortars - veterans from Lupio's campaign - batter into the advancing army of the border princes.

>>49167541
not your Legendary Lord.
>>
Quite understandably, many of the militiamen are spooked at seeing a fully armored monster carrying a man charge into their ranks. Taking advantage of the confusion units of knights militia - the cavalry of the border princes, raised on the bretonnian model charge into the lighter riders and cut them down. Soon, the entire screen collapses.
>>

>>49167805
>emperor named karl franz
>might as well name him john smith.
>>
>>49167940
the battle ends when the veteran gunners begin to flee. they are run down by vicious brutes with little to no mercy. Half of Ferrer's command is lost in that battle alone.
>>
For months there is no news from the army sent to subdue the border princes. Finally the news arrives as scattered and broken men pass into the border and into tilea.

The entire army has been annihilated, and Ferrer martinez has been killed.

The news causes an uproar in the council of nobles. The cities of tilea are threatened. If Valmir were to march in, he would find nought but terrified militia to face his army. Messengers are sent to the north post haste.

Lupio Sunscryer must end his crusade against the undead. A bigger threat has reared it's head against Estalia. Not since the days of the Arabyan invasion has there been such panic in the kingdom. Destiny has called on the favored son of Estalia, does he dare to take up it's gauntlet?

and that concludes this AAR. This campaign is getting quite nuts, and it is getting hard to string a story together. I am going to end it here on this cliffhanger.

I'm the author of that idea and just look at the poll, it's what most setting converge on, even so 27 people voted on Ulthuan and ALL high elves being shafted big time.

I guess High Elves will always have to be on an eternal decline while the vortex is active, but you can't destroy the vortex because then chaos wins.

So what can you do, you can supercharge the Vortex, gimping Chaos all around the world, and sacrifice Ulthuan for it.

Elves aren't glued to the ground, they have shown countless times that they are able to restart on another continent, and rise again like a phoenix from the ashes of the Old World. To an Age where Elves no longer are destined to fade, but take up arms to carve out a place in the new age.

But it's not only about the High Elves, the sacrifice of Ulthuan liberates Malekith as a Character, this guy has been trying to take over Ulthuan for over 4000 years, and finally, he can go do something else, because there is no Ulthuan, combined with his new Khaine influence, he doesn't have to be bound by such petty ambitions, but can direct his bloody lust for vengeance towards the Chaos Gods themself.
