And its friday.

Jumpers seeing as OP is a faggot as usual what do you put on your burgers? Any special ingredients you use from another world?
Inb4 Toriko or the souls of the innocent.

So now that we're making 1500cp the new standard budget, what other jumps can we improve with this innovative change?

So, wait, do you just not put bacon on your burgers, or do you put the absence of bacon on your burgers. It's an important distinction.

More acceptable, but personally I'd prefer "you may import up to 32 companions, but unless you pay the 300 they are powered down for the jump. However, any you do not import are subject to the standard 8 active limit, and count towards the imported 32 limit" would work better. Allows swapping companions injump, allows use of things like symbiotes or ai assistants, saves hassle when your transport is also a companion.

(Also, if the companions that are imported as part of the 32 team could keep intelligence perks, or at the least memory perks, that'd be great. >>
>>48296821
It really isn't. There are ways and means that aren't oft talked about, but that's the official test for becoming a high powered jumper; figuring out your own method of translating your frankly outrageous power level into reality warping.

It wasn't a laser gun, but I got it.
Didn't think about the driving car, will have.

There will be a free perk for the shells and a drawback for them too
I can have a cryo drawback with an optional attachment to 80's action.

None. I'm sorry. A Wesley Sniper rifle.

>>

It really is, but pure reality warping is supposed to be a being's ability to simply change reality without real rules, unbound by psionic fatigue, magical resistances, or any other form of specification that'd lend it weakness.

Sorry, I asked the Benefactor if I could put it in.

>>
Is Demolition Man a comedy?
>>
>>48297088
I like it because I've never gone to worm and I'm actually probably powerful enough to completely scramble the entire setting, and maybe there'll actually be something worthwhile for me in that background.
>>
>>48297145
It's an Action-Comedy yes. It's that comedy that pokes fun at a genre for the first about half of the movie, then lovingly indulges in the things it was just poking fun at.
>>
>>48297145
It's an action move that came out in the 90's and functions like it was the last action move of the 80's.
>>
>>48297145
Technically no, effectively yes.
>>
>>48297096
Really?

Casting fireball isn't really on the same level as summoning and destroying matter and energy, bending and altering time and space, ect.
>>
>>48297182
Well, you do summon energy with that. So, that's one part there.
>>
>>48297217
No, you're transforming mana into the process of combustion. One form of energy into another.
>>
>>48296723
I remember an Anon has a brillaint combo that actually gave him the basics of Reality Warping. He picked up
Soft Physics (Worm, 'nother swig)
Scarlet Destiny (Touhou)
Any fucking mana amplifier, like Leaky Limiter (Mushoku Tensei)
Eightfold Path (Lord of Light)
Power Combination (Young Justice)

You combine Scarlet Destiny with Soft Physics and Eightfold to allow you to basically on touch fuck with things and turn them into shit they had a zero chance of turning into. This is because Scarlet increases probability, eightfold makes zero percent events into non-zero events and Soft Physics uses that shit to do some crazy shit. So long as you have mana, you can turn chairs into bombs of unprecedented power and pull peoples asses out of hats.
That Anon was pretty cool, hope he doesn't mind.
>>
>>48297182
I can't really think of a magic system that doesn't have some form of transfiguration. Many of them can alter time (though usually not in reverse), as well as space. Quite a few also ignore conservation of mass and energy.

Heck, you could replicate minor reality warping with non-verbal, wand-less Harry Potter magic.
>>
>>48297237
Depends on the magic system. Some don't use mana or other energy.
>>
>>48297237
Assuming it's a system that uses mana. Harry Potter magic doesn't, for instance.
>>
>>48297283
Those could be argued to just transform the energy from cosmic background radiation and ambient vibrations of particles, or the movement of the tectonic plates, or the power of the soul or whatever.
>>
>>48297329
Which if not stated or implied anywhere, lack much reason to assume as such.
>>
>>48297263
Harry Potter straight-up destroys conservation of mass and energy with things like permanent conjuration. Which, in Harry Potter, translates to creating real, permanent objects out of nothing. It basically allows you to create any nonmagical thing, including living things, by just pulling matter out of your ass with the power of MAGIC.
>>
>>48296749
Seashells
>>
>>48297329
And so could most examples of reality warping. But that would be stupid.
>>
>>48297354
It's less ridiculous than assuming it just breaks the laws of physics, which I refuse to accept.
>>
>>48297355
I didn't know it was permanent, actually, going off of conjured water which disappears (even outside of V-mort's cave).
>>
Quick question about Chakra from Naruto. How easy would it be to teach people all the different powers and techniques? And how powerful could they become without any of the special eye or tailed beast abilities, or any of the other special stuff that can't be taught?
>>
>>48297380
Then you don't accept reality warping exists as a concept in fiction?
>>
>>48297355
Conjuration does not create permanent objects, you can however transfigure something into something with more mass.
>>
>>48297355
>Harry Potter straight-up destroys conservation of mass and energy
You're assuming quite a lot there. All of it is incorrect.

>>
>>48297380
I hate to tell you this, but waving a wand around and chanting in Latin in order to transform energy from tectonic plates shifting into fire also breaks the laws of physics.
>>
>>48297428
Actually, permanent conjuration occurs in the books. It's different from regular conjuration which disappears after a short time.

I can't remember exactly where it happened but I remember Dumbledore doing it once and it was a big deal.
>>
>>48297490
Nope.

Reality maintains, physics aren't broken, magic isn't reality warping.
>>
Rolled 104, 87 = 191 (2d595)

>>
>>48297490
In our world, yes. But in a world with magic, presumably the laws of physics are different. There's no reason to assume that physics are being defied when it makes much more sense to assume that magic is just interacting with a set of physical laws that normal processes don't. Modern electronics invoke all sorts of physics that don't happen in ordinary matter, that doesn't make them reality warping.

Exactly. There still have to be rules governing how your reality warping works. A world without rules is a world that has no underlying structure. Any warping of reality is therefore not a violation of physics but a revelation of a deeper, more complex level of it.
>>
>>48297607
I think his sticking point is that magic (even in the most free-form of systems) has rules and limitations, while true reality warping is just shit happening completely arbitrarily.

Caveat, I do not play Warframe.
Keep CP at 1,000. changing that only fucks up the value of taking drawbacks, making them worth less.

If what you can buy with 1,000 CP is sucky compared to what a competent high end war frame player could / should be, then you are changing to much for your perks and/or Identies.

If you have to pay CP for things that are ubiquitous to the game and genre, then you are charging CP for stuff that should be free.

In other words, don't be the guy that charges to be a wizard in Harry Potter.

Noether's Theorem. Any finite system is going to have conservation of energy, it's a mathematical certainty. The only way around it is to have a non-finite system or to have a world where the laws of mathematics are different. The first one is still sort of obeying conservation of energy, as you're not creating energy so much as drawing it from an infinite well, and the second one is too terrifying for me to contemplate as a legitimate possibility.
>>
>>48297699
No, he's saying that in his definition reality warping occurs inexplicably and cannot be bound by a set of rules by its very definition and that if it does follow any sort of guidelines at all then it's not truly warping reality but rather is just an extension of the natural laws of physics.

Basically he's bullshitting himself by falling into the fallacy of assuming that magic will somehow "make sense" in accordance with everything else simply by merit of following a structured hierarchy. He's arbitrarily assuming that it functions according to the laws of physics because it follows a set of rules. The issue with this is that he's making an inexplicable leap of logic without any evidence to connect the rules of magic to the laws of physics.

Let's say that magic can't create gold for some reason. In his perspective he's assuming that because it can't create gold then there must be some logical reason why it can't. But in reality it quite literally could be that it simply can't do it for no definable reason. It can't create gold because it can't create gold. It just can't. There's no reason why it can't. It's just impossible.

No. Reality Warping is Reality Warping, but magic isn't. There's no other justification or explanation needed, magic just isn't Reality Warping, except in cases where it is. So reality warping isn't reality warping because you say it isn't? What do you suppose reality warping is? It is the manipulation of reality, an operation which functions outside of the purview of conventional explanation and can only be described as being outside of the laws of physics. It is an operation which is separated from the normal operation of reality, the physical world which is ascribed logical laws.

Magic, by its very definition, is reality warping by the merit of its function being impossible to explain conventionally.

While I think that magic can be as conventionally explained as quantum physics can, I don't disagree with you. In fact you pretty much restated my words in a far less snarky manner. If magic isn't reality warping because of having control over it, then reality warping isn't reality warping for the same reasons. AKA magic is reality warping because it is silly to say that reality warping isn't reality warping.

I don't think so, I think it just lets you buy them and use the other side's energy, whatever that means. There's supposedly an update coming, and I'd like to ask for more clarification on what Hybrid does from a practical standpoint.

>how high are the power levels
It strikes me as one of those shows where the powerlevels are whatever the plot needs them to be at the time. That said, most of the combat stuff seems like you'd be more than fine if you're fast enough to casually dodge a huge number of bullets and have some way to hurt beings that are unaffected by conventional weaponry. I would expect buying either the Demon or Angel origin would at least make you competitive.

That's fine, I only had 50 extra points to spend anyways. I'll grab my weapon a new neat ability instead.

At this point my main weapon is already a smorgasbord of different things. It's on its fifth iteration, and with each new version more and more is added to it. After GoW, it now has upwards of 12 different weapon modes.

Now hang on a second everyone. If we're talking about reality warping and magic, we need to discuss the possibility that perhaps rather than tearing apart the old laws, or even bending them, perhaps they're instead enforcing an alternate set of laws.
For example, let's take a look at Final Fantasy 6. Here, magic is clearly unnatural, as it is tied to the three gods, and later on Kefka, who's death removes magic. With magic, otherwise impossible feats, like summoning magic, raising the dead, firing fuck you beams, suplexing a train(there had to be SOME kind of magic there, there's no way he just went and suplexed a train), that stuff. However, even that has rules, limits: how much magic one can contain, how much they can use, what they can use if for, where does it come from. In a similar way, an eldritch abomination may not be warping reality, but imposing his reality. Maybe he came from a time/place where there was no conservation of energy, or something.
This is all just theory and speculation though, of course. I might be WAY off.

Pretty much how I treat reality warping in general. Reality Warpers are either beings from outside the Reality they're residing in (and thus have brought their own laws along with them), or they are beings who have surpassed the Reality they exist in, thus exerting greater control over their Reality than their Reality exerts over them.

>>
>>48298357
Nope. Magic isn't reality warping, no matter how hard you try to wank it, it will remain as it is; magic.

Magic compared to mundane means may seem like reality warping, but even the most powerful magic is internally consistent and defined as a system with mechanics.

There are no mechanics behind reality warping; reality warping is the mechanics, decides the mechanics, and destroys the mechanics.

Perks are not reality warping. Stop wanking yourself, you'll grow hair on your palms, and cause your brain to rot.

Infinitely Customizable and Modular Designs are obviously written with one another in mind but I'm not entirely sure what they do. I mean it'd make sense if Nonetheless they seem to help with fitting together shit that shouldn't fit together so it can't hurt.

Also bought a 600 CP undiscounted perk that makes me really good at talking people into things.

Stasis tech seems to be a good thing to try to pick up while here. Other than that I don't have much of a plan beyond completing my objective which is to kill all the zombie squid moons. Took this objective more as an attempt to do some good in the omniverse and as I may have ended up on their wrong side anyway. Also I can potentially reduce the amount of time I have to spend here by blowing up zombie celestial bodies. Probably going to have to take over the Earth for its own good.

Not always.

>reality warping is the mechanics, decides the mechanics, and destroys the mechanics.

Like some examples of magic, then.

I don't think you realize just how broad "magic" is, friend.

The term encompasses an arbitrarily vast amount of systems that allow to if not "warp", then at least alter reality.
>>
>>48298511
So, uh, did you not read what I wrote? I agree, it's not reality warping, it's just imposing a different set of laws. I even used FF6 as an example, that while it's unnatural to the universe as is, it has it's own set of rules that it has to follow. For example, I can heal someone of their wounds, but I can't make them regrow an arm. I can fire magical fuck you beams, but I can't just snap my fingers and unmake a town, I have to actually fire my magical fuck you beams.
>>
>>48298420
Okay, then.

Can the handle of a weapon customized by this perk remain extended indefinitely?

>-Pole Dancer (100SP) (Melee Only): Well this is... something else. The handle of your weapon can now extend out. Not the dangerous part, the handle of the weapon. It can offer extended reach, sure... among other things. Cross chasms with less difficulty! Whack someone with a sudden extension! And best of all, it means you have a pole at any time for... exercise purposes. Yes, let's just go with that excuse.

Variable Weapon tech is fairly crazy. Here's a chaingun that collapses into a purse.
>>
>>48297821
Not exactly.

Noether's theorem isn't about "finiteness". Basaically, _for lagrangian systems_ the theorem associates a conserved quantity for every continuous symmetry.

So, first, an alternate world without time shift symmetry? Conservation of energy need not apply. (Energy, well, hamiltonian, being the conserved quantity associated with time shift)

Alternately, maybe energy is conserved, but in a way that doesn't look like conservation of energy. (Consider energy vs True Energy in Greg Egan's Orthogonal series. There is conservation of energy of sorts, but... you have to be careful how you're defining the energy of a system to get the conservation.

You're not necessarily an elemental but you can be (in the way that Ice King is not made of ice but Flame Princess is made of fire). Be bigger than the Lich probably. He's big but he's not that big. I mean if you take the Lich perk you're basically given the option of looking like the Lich anyway. In terms of power it's sort of difficult to say as we don't really see the Lich's upper limits (you're not necessarily on his level as we don't quite know what that level is).

I'd say you'd at least be capable of the shown feats the Lich produces. Probably more combat oriented and physical with Monstrous Form than he tends to be. Lich uses magic rather than fighting most of the time.

>>48298890

Hey, speaking of the Lich perk, (and I fully realize this is getting into some exact wording bullshit), but would the "maybe not THE Lich" part of the perk open up the possibility of taking The Lich's place in the show/timeline/whatever you want to call it?

>>

>>48299161
Nope. Much subtler than that. Use the power to make shorter distances so that I can effectively send a signal FTL. With some effort/abuse, could turn that into a mild negative time delay element that could send a signal slightly back in time. Use this to make time loop computer.

Use various bits of biohacking knowldge perks/experience/etc to build a biocomp attached to it that uses something like human neurons. Why? As an interface. Use telepathy perks to then interface with this time loop computer.

"Why yes, I think I will, in fact, MESS WITH TIME" :)

I don't need to do anything else because my definition is correct.

Reality Warpers warp reality.

Magic follows, and often times is facilitated and supported and created by, the mechanics and functions of reality itself.

Thus, magic is not Reality Warping, because magic is a construction of reality itself.

Reality Warpers in contrast, can create magic systems wholesale and, override all the rules of that system as they please as they alter reality itself.

I don't know what that means.

You don't have all his powers with just the Lich perk, animals just die around him which doesn't happen with you and he seems to have some sort of cosmological significance you wouldn't possess.

You could go pretend to be him and probably convince everybody but then you could do that with most characters in most things.

I don't think so, though the Precursor race from Macross, can't remember their name, had FTL communication tech. I think they based it off some people, who could do FTL stuff naturally. Maybe chat with them, grab on of their forms Animorph/Omnitrix style, and go from there?

Well, if I can, in fact, make a long distance short, then I can get a signal from A to B through that path much faster than through the normal paths. That'd be enough to start hacking at causality. The question is which of the space stretching/squishing powers let me loop it and do other funky shapes rather than just straightline it. Well, I guess even with straightline, with a bit of effort and moving the distortion around, and using a couple of them, might be able to pull it off.

>>
>>48299306
Well, if you admit that magic is reality warping, then I guess we'll have to accept that mundane existence is reality warping to by the standards that just changing things within reality is reality warping.
>>
>>48299273
Spoilers ahead: The Lich is old. REALLY old. He first came to our world in the meteor that destroyed the dinosaurs, but he's even older than that. He has knowledge of what existed before the universe, before the nothing that was before the universe. In a vision he shows to the King of Ooo, he displays a vast array of horrific monsters that seem to be the equivalent of the Outer Gods, or at least the Great Old Ones. This, combined with him casually tearing apart the greatest prison in the multiverse, which can contain casual planet busters easily, hints that he himself is even more eldritch then he first appears to be.
>>
>>48299302
Elemental Monarch alone would be enough to be as powerful as Flame Princess. Only advantage she would have is that she can make her body bigger. Monstrous Form would let you do that as well as well as making you more powerful than she is.

Add Lich on and you'd have another weird but powerful sort of flame to mix in.
>>
>>48299351

Basic idea was Soft Physics scales up quantum improbability and does the heavy lifting, given that's how it does the loony tunes antics to begin with. Scarlet itself can turn anything not statistically impossible into coming true provided you have enough mana, hence leaky limiter (given mana capacity increase on use) or any other "sufficient mana" source. Waaay too strong. This is like 3 600cp perks in one. It's a fate/destiny avoiding one, it's taht Lord of Light Eightfold path one and it's a really strong super mode all together. I think you need to cut one or two of these to make the perk equal with the other capstones.

The rest of the perks and items seem fine. Really like the Nobles 400cp perk, that one looks really fun to use. I guess maybe give some better examples of the power level of Godslaying Weapon is my last advice? You use things like Sting and a planet busting weapon as examples in the notes but that seems kinda obviously out of the perk's league, what are some stuff closer to the level you'd be able to withstand with the perk?

I would think that what they'd do would be more along the lines of making it so that the timeline you're in is always the "alpha" timeline.

I have no idea how doomed timelines work with the jumping rules concerning death, there's a lot of determinism in that story. Though, if you buy the theory that it's a result of Lord English using his power to ensure his own existence, you might be able to just ignore all that timeline bullshit.

Much thanks! Definitely reworking Sheltered and Apothesis as per your suggestions. >>48299830
Who's White Mage?
>>
>>48299526
Well in the Geneforge games you have two different magic power pools, energy that recharges very quickly, and essence which doesn't recharge. Essence used for spells can be restored by the use of various potions and such, essence used to make creations remains gone so long as you continue to maintain control over that creation. However that's partially gameplay abstraction that doesn't really fit in game feats or lore of the various npcs, though in game the player never uses a separate system used in labs that through slightly different means that doesn't drain your personal reserves. Essence itself though is not actually hard to produce and many creations can create it themselves.
>>
>>48299842
It's vaguely defined Disney-style magic. Most of Malificent's feats are available. The curse certainly is, and Facilier's whole body swapping thing, but the becoming a dragon thing is still a capstone.

You'd might actually be more BS then her with that combo, as the one that parroted the combo the anon originally made.
I say this because the worm power fucks with the physical uncertainty, so with a zero percent thing becoming a non-zero...I don't know but you may be able to create the basics of Endbringer armor by shrinking stuff and pushing them together while altering probability to make their forms more easily pliable to your hands.

>>48299699
Wait, Apothesis is fine, then? ... Imma just going to poke around in various other jumps and check pricings. I do want to keep the "Determine your own destiny" at the very least, since that's a pretty big theme of spiriters in this game.

That being said: Gods from the game are... kinda odd power-level-wise. Like, hilariously so. On the one hand, people use tiny bits of their corpses to power flying, island busting, battlestations, and the various islands fly because their corpses are buried in the area. Also, Malpercio resurrecting up apparently spells doom for the world by the time of the original game (this is the prequel). On the other hand, we never really see them doing anything spectacular. Ever. Everyone talks about how awesome they are, and how powerful their magic is, but they don't really show it.

Konata used the lovecraft understand xenobiology perk along with studying elves and dark elves from master of magic to figure out how they generate mana naturally then reproduce it into a fuckhuge organ that distorts space inwards on itself to produce absurd amounts of mana after study. It's not all that hard to make a mana generator.

There's a perk somewhere (I think in Storm Hawks, but I could be wrong) that lets you built energy conversion tech. Build your generators big, then use some sort of portal wireless energy transmission tech to beam the mana directly into yourself.

It will take some time to set up, but you will only be limited by how large a generator you can build.

Pyromancy - Works off of your inner flame. So internal.

Soul Sorcery - Is fueled by souls, however it seems more like it's fueled by your own soul judging by it not consuming your soul collection and using an MP bar in some games.

Miracles - Fueled by other entities in which you hold faith. So probably external.

Hexes - Fueled either by your inner humanity and thus internal, or by devouring collected souls and thus external (but the Dark Souls jump gives you a perk for gathering those anyway so you'd still get to use it according to your rules)
>>
>>48300127
Durability shouldn't be affected since it's passive but your mental resistances might be weaker since your emotions are clouding your mind.
>>
>>48300211
Which still counts for "power-levels" and "personal might", if not physical strength.
>>
>>48300212
It's not really explained. It's probably you channeling the power of your soul in various ways. Pyromancy through skill and the strength of your flame, Sorceries through your intelligence and skill at manipulating raw soul energy, and miracles through unwavering belief in something.
>>
>>48288100
In the show, the Door Lord could set conditions on who could use its Doors - can we do that too?
>>
>>48300258
There are miracles that don't make sense to be fueled by other entities. It's just as easy to argue that they are powered by your belief in the story the miracle is based upon.
>>
>>48300255
Fire Sorceries ran off of the Witch's Lord Soul, did they not? They would be internal, should you have found some way to devour it.
>>
Time to talk about servants. Who was your servant, and how did your first meeting go? Did you break bread or furniture? Any interesting stories come out of the meeting between the two of you?
>>
>>48300252
... That's a good point. I'll just go with that.

>>48300211
Yeah, you're right. I'll just toss a quick explanation into a note, and let jumpers fanwank powerlevels as they wish.
>>
>>48300293
I just remember it being explained that way in 1.
>>
>>48300212
The point was that magic you learn is still usable post jump.

It won't just stop working once you leave the setting, the physics that would facilitate using that setting's magic is supported by the setting's own fiat.
>>
>>48300297
No the fire sorceries were powered by the first flame, the witch lost them before she accidentally demons.
>>
>>48300258
>Fueled by other entities in which you hold faith
Does it work that way? There are Miracles invented by/based on Havel and they don't really stop working as the Lord Souls die out.

>but the Dark Souls jump gives you a perk for gathering those anyway
Actually, does that continue working in future jumps, or will you need anothr method of collecting Souls?
>>
>>48300262
Alright, thanks. Would you consider superhuman reflexes passive? Probably in a similar boat as mental resistances, I'd assume.

Though not the speed to act on them, obviously.
>>
>>48300309
I'd rather not there be just another anti-fate perk in jumpchain.
>>
>>48300316
Well yeah, but the question was whether it would work outside of the setting in question.
>>
>>48299942
If littlle dead god pieces are capable of that much, it stands to reason that actual alive gods are capable of far more.
>>48300175
Also, I thought island busting was better than mountain busting?
>>
>>48300318
You sure? It's easy to mix those two up since the witch ignited her soul into the Chaos Flame.

Though in 3 it shows us that it's possible to devour the First Flame as well, so either way, getting your mouth around something will get you access to Fire Sorcery and a lot more besides.
>>
>>48300333
Similar to mental resistances, they'd still be there but anger, depression, fear, etc. would hinder your reactions.
>>
>>48300328
>Actually, does that continue working in future jumps, or will you need another method of collecting Souls?
Of course not. Souls are things that only exist in that setting and you can't get them anywhere else, so anything that would require them is up shit's creak.
>>
>>48300316
>>48300343
My bad, misunderstood what you were saying. Anyway, are things not bought supported by Fiat? I thought that was up to individual fanwank.

Unless it says otherwise.
>>
>>48300306

>>
>>48300371
Anon, don't be intentionally obtuse. I was amusing about collecting the souls, not whether they exist in other settings.
>>
>>48300343
And I just said, in the post that you were responding to, that it would be supported by the setting's own fiat. Which you carry with you for having existed in the setting.
>>
>>48300328
>Actually, does that continue working in future jumps, or will you need anothr method of collecting Souls?

I do not in fact recall Dark Souls even having that, though Demon Souls does as a free perk.

>>48300359
>Also, I thought island busting was better than mountain busting?

As in many things, it depends. Though usually yes, island-busting is superior to mountain-busting.

>>
>>48300363

>>
>>48300400
>Though usually yes, island-busting is superior to mountain-busting.
Not usually though, because most mountains are actually bigger than most islands.
>>
>>48300361
I'm certain that the fire sorcieres went away as one of the signs of the age of dark coming. However I do have to agree about eating the flame, eat that delicious flame, and those delicious souls, and then go to an alternate reality and eat their versions as well.
>>
>>48300361
Rank your fire keeping waifu:

Maiden in Black > Emerald Herald > DS3 Firekeeper (did she have a name in the files or something?) > Bonfire Chan
>>
>>48300233
Even though Overlord magic doesn't drain from the user's lifefore, it's the person who's being resurrected who's lifeforce is drained, and that's only with lower rank resurrection.
>>
>>48300336
Eh. It fits the setting though, which is honestly a much higher priority. Though if it's too boring, I'll keep the supermode instead. Or come up with something more interesting. I dunno.

>>48300359
You'd think, but the problem's that it's the dead pieces that are being used to power a cannon that blows up islands. While the gods are alive, they're just really unimpressive. Like, they have a giant war, not a single blown up mountain in sight. Though they are on the plains, so that might explain it... Lots of burned land and dragons though, so it was pretty cool. But yeah, power levels. Weird as hell in this game.
>>
>>48300328
For miracles to work I'd go with you just need to have faith in it as the actual miracles in the lore are mentioned to change and be lost/adapted over time. That combined with the fact that many of the gods are actually dead and you have stuff like Havel's miracles it points to them being more like your faith and soul power being the main things.

As for the soul collecting I don't think that was an actual perk just and implied mechanic. Demon Souls does have it as a free perk that works between settings though.
>>
>>48300424
I mean hey, it's what it wants. Why not indulge?
>>
>>48300397
Whether you get external stuff permanently just for visiting the setting or need to buy a perk directly related to it to cover it via fiat is, far as I know, directly in fanwank territory.

Not relevant in this context, but still, just saying.
>>
>>48297975
One more question about Bayonetta- It says we can only choose one option for weapon customization, so if I choose to import a weapon with "From Another Land", does that mean I can't customize the free weapon I get using "Forged of Legend"
>>
>>48300258
>Miracles - Fueled by other entities in which you hold faith. So probably external.
Ha ha no.

Miracles use YOUR faith.
Also, miracles are made from souls.

>>
>>48300457
No, I don't think you understand, there isn't a distinction between external and internal here on whether it works or not. If it doesn't, DnD magic doesn't work outside of DnD, and what not stupidity.
>>
>>48300421
You would think, except most characters I've seen referred to as mountain busting just remove the tips.
>>
>>48299975
Miracles. They can do all kinds of cool shit, from summoning a field of giant spectral blades, to tossing lightning bolts, to negating magic, to teleporting.

Pyromancy is cool, but you can get a Pyromancy flame relatively easily anyway. Sorceries are kind of dumb looking with the crystal effects (IMO) and honestly not that much more diverse than Miracles, AND tend to drive high-end users insane (see Logan and Seath). Hexes require mucking about with the Abyss, and that WILL fuck you over.
>>
>>48300491
I think Truth only gets pissy when it comes to Alchemy. That's not how it's supposed to be used.

Well, he was capable of changing the whole earth even holding back his power and would've destroyed the whole universe if not killed. The game is pretty vague on power levels (And GOOs are just as vague on power levelstoo) but the guy's at least planet level.

>>
>>48300437
To be fair, god like super beings throwing around super destructive forces while causing very little relative damage to the environment is the standard of fiction, not an exception, especially in the context of the japanese. Just look at fucking DBZ or Worm (which is a supposedly 'non-supernatural' western story).

And really, unless those cannons had some other special quality that gave them the power to blow up islands, it's save to assume it was the dead god fragments that had that power in the first place. The cannons simply channeled it.
>>
>>48300556
Does it really matter whether she used magic or not? The souls belonged to him, and she took them.
>>
>>48300516
Aside from the obvious "that depends on the D&D setting" point (generic sorcerer magic is more internal, for instance), you're missing the fact that the posts you were replying to were specifying WHEN NOT BOUGHT WITH CP. So, yes, you could totally say that because you didn't buy access to wizard magic in Forgotten Realms, you couldn't use it to cast through the Weave work for you in later jumps.
>>
>>48300597
If Truth cared about the souls, he would have stepped in and stopped Father's ritual, the one that gave him a body and made Hoenheim immortal. Instead, he seemed to fully back it, hell his eye was even what made it actually happen. Truth doesn't give a shit about the souls, he just wants things to work on equivalent exchange, or if not for people to not use alchemy, which does run on equivalent exchange.
>>
>>48300650
...Wow, I botched that sentence.

>>
>>48300564
>>48300483
Worth noting that any feat by Giygas beyond planetary came about at the cost of his sanity.

Giygas came from a race of space conquerors but was raised by humans. When the aliens noticed the humans had raised their prince not to be a dick they took him back, told him to be a dick, made him king, then said he had to go blow up Earth. Protags of the first game beat him by finding and singing the lullaby his adopted mother sung to him. He couldn't bring himself to destroy the species his mother belonged to.

In Mother 2/Earthbound, he comes back and tries to go at it cautiously this time. Wipes out any instance of that lullaby, acts through proxies, the works. But when he sees Ness and co. beating his agents and working their way towards him, he gets desperate not to have the first game repeat so he goes into his own mind and destroys himself for power, killing off his emotions. However in Earthbound fiddling with your inner self like that can render you mindless and insane, and set your psychic powers out of control in an ever expanding, self-destructive loop. So Giygas became a mindless monster of pain and insanity and was steadily growing in power until he would eventually destroy the entire universe.

It took a literal act of God to beat him.

Hmm, If you wanted to break her limiter your better off getting the computer tinker shard but you could probably do it with R&E shard. The Proctectorate would think very highly of you if you had either of the two shards, considering the achievements of Richter, and the fact that you would be a great Tinker in general. Kill or remove Saint or Teacher and your good, maybe pick up that Richter companion so you got an AI that can track Saint unbeknownst to him.
Apprenticing under Dragon, while she's involved with Colin would probably be a bit wierd, pick up Perfect Communication Skills and everything works according to Keikaku.

Ignoring the fact that Wildbow is a hack and his story makes no sense if you factor in all the shit he's said after it was done, Scion could have easily not done it through brute force. Just like he got info from the Shards of attacking parahumans in the end to do weird frequency shit to his own avatar in order to nullify their powers, he could have just as easily tuned the golden fuck-off beam to ignore Behemoth's physical durability, just like the Sting power is capable of doing.
>>

Saint is also a baseline human (with a Parahuman ranking) if you can find him.
>>
>>48300762
>So how can I help her, then? And how do I deal with Saint (whoever that is)?
Yeah. It's not on a deadman switch, so just killing him is fine (trade with Cauldron is probably the easiest way to find/kill him if you don't have a way to do so already). Grab and dispose of the switch. From there, best way is to just hack dragon and handle it yourself. If you can't, just avoid the whole thing until she weakens her own code and gets Defiant to work on patching her up. Then kill off Saint. He's only good for one thing anyways, and you can handle that easily enough.

>I thought I remembered her enlisting Armsmaster to help her overcome her limiters or something.
Been a while, but basically, she fucked up her own code from the inside, hard. Defiant was able to help piece her back together. It's why she can't talk for a while, for instance.

Gee, it's almost as though Worm powers aren't purely based around biggatons, Scion had a main weapon perfectly designed for negating specific Shard-based powers (like Endbringer dimensional fuckery that's responsible for almost all their mass and therefore durability), and he was specifically trying to destroy Behemoth without destroying everything.

No really. The perk we have the shuts down (Q this) reality warping has limits. Otherwise the other Qs would not have been able to take away Q's power, because he could have reality warped it away.

Assuming that a reality warper does not have rules because they do not sit you down on the couch, take your hand, and explain how the universe REALLY works in easy to understand rules is just you being entitles and dumb. Also an example of the no limits fallacy.

>>48299225
>I don't need to do anything else because my definition is correct.
>Reality Warpers warp reality.
>Magic follows, and often times is facilitated and supported and created by, the mechanics and functions of reality itself.
>Thus, magic is not Reality Warping, because magic is a construction of reality itself.
>Reality Warpers in contrast, can create magic systems wholesale and, override all the rules of that system as they please as they alter reality itself.
Are you trying to convince yourself that their are No True Scotsman? Stop being a twat.

I see Reality Warping as stuff that uses Dimensional Fuckery to Get Stuff Done. So there is stuff Inside Reality, and stuff Outside Reality. Anything that is accomplished ENTIRELY using resources from the current Dimension and no more than 4 dimensions, You know, Hard Science Shit.

You need to bring in 7th dimensional hyper- physics to get energy from a higher/lower level of reality? Reality Warping.
You need to shunt matter or energy to/from an alternate universe? Reality Warping.

So Punch to the face? If you are using your calories in your body, is this universe, Not Reality Warping.
Magic? depends on where the energy comes from. If there is a High Energy Mana field you draw from here, not reality warping for a fireball. You draw the energy for it from the Great and Powerful Baal in the Hell? Reality Warping.

>>48300762
Anons have given you specific advice, but here's something you have to know about Worm before you attempt ANY major change to the status quo:

_Your first priority should be to neutralize or co-opt Simurgh in a way that does not get you Scion's hostile attention._

How you accomplish this is up to you, but if you don't it WILL fuck with your efforts because Simurgh has no choice about it. It can't see you but it can see everyone else.

The Endbringer is actually a lot like Dragon in that regard, minus the humanity: a sapient AI-ish construct originally programmed to maintain conflict for the Entities and then reprogrammed by Eidolon's subconscious - the man himself doesn't know this - so that he has "worthy opponents". And since Eidolon's ego loves writing checks it can't actually cash, Earth-Bet is getting slowly and horribly destroyed by three Endbringers, and Simurgh is coordinating it all while simultaneously using it to arrange Scion's death (because Eidolon also wants to defeat Scion, but to his ego Scion's defeat is less important than Eidolon feeling good about himself).

tl,dr; Eidolon needs therapy but his ego won't agree to it, and it's unclear whether or how much it'll make a difference to the Endbringers. Neutralizing the Simurgh frees up Contessa, co-opting the Simurgh frees up Contessa AND it can help with the other Endbringers.
>>

Eh. Simurgh is pretty safe to ignore (on a personal level) as long as you have the free perk and don't take the Endbringer drawback. Avoid any Endbringer fights during your stay, and fuck right off if she ever shows up. She can't see you at all, so you're pretty safe from her (like the other Endbringers, she sees through her power. If you're immune to pre-/postcog she can't see you at all, since she can't directly see the present).

Mind you, there's a great solution available if you have the right perks, Waifu her

>Giga Slave
The spell that can potentially end all of reality? You're, quite literally, off the scale. Probably not even on the same planet as the scale.

Even the Entities have nothing remotely approaching a facsimile of that.
>>
>>48301206
If they knew that you had two spells that could slice through Endbringers and Entities like butter, you'd be the biggest threat and greatest asset bar none.
>>
>>48301232
>That would probably break the scale.
Technicaly, the Worm threat scale doesn't break. It just keeps going up. They don't have preplanned responses past a certain point, but they'd still try to give out accurate ratings though. If one person shows up with a rating of 17, they have no reason not to assume another could happen, so it's worth noting.

Jumpers, how big is your starship? What did you do to make it that size? Are you over compensating for something?
>>
>>48301234
Yeah, it's that "on a personal level" that's the kicker. If anons want to do anything nice for any of Worm's MCs, they're going to have to deal with the Simurgh trying to even the scales.

Note that the free perk doesn't give you immunity to postcog, so have something to deal with that.

Leaving aside the power variance between settings issue, that depends pretty much entirely on what abilities they show everyone and how they use those abilties.
Except Master 12 for fluffy tail.
>>

I'm pretty sure the scale goes to 10 at "Endbringer"

Nope. Labyrinth is a Shaker 12, and an Endbringer would roflstomp her.

No. The fact that no 11s are shown isn't the same as there not being 11s. Wildbow has gone over this so fucking many times, it's even explicitly mentioned in the goddamn link I JUST posted. Right there at the top.

Yeah but too bad becoming a True Fae effectively makes you an NPC as you become irreparably insane.

Endbringers roflstomp ALMOST every individual in setting. Scion is the obvious exception, and WoG is that Parian can take on Behemoth (so there may be others). Beyond that, and especially if you want to kill them, you need a combo. Fletchette is pretty much mandatory, among the known canon characters (I'm not sure what the other people in her multi-trigger got). Beyond that, you need a way to immobilize (Clockblocker?) and a way to expose the core (Phir Se?). Mind you, a jumper can do all of this themself, especially if they grab Sting.

Not really. Even the Ten Tails could only city bust, only Kaguya, Six Paths Madara, and Toneri have displayed such levels of power.

I use the Kerykeion Arc from Anno as a space ship so about the size of a large city after importing it as a zoid and acu. Since True Fae are self aware meta players, playing themselves...

Probably the Storyteller equivalent or the guy who writes the rulebook equivalent.

So someone achieves Wyld Transcendence, and makes his own reality warping rules. And the rules all the other Fae play by retroactively change.

You know, like that bullshit D&D keeps pulling in Faerun? Someone else achieves Wyld Transcendence, and all the other Fae in his gaming group have to change to the new edition and rewrite their character sheet.

And this is why all the Fae don't want anyone else to win.
>>
>>48301679
Yeah, it'll only take a few thousand years until he gets out. Mind you, if you have already hit up Sburb and you have the abilitiy to hop a few thousand years at a time, going forward and bringing a select few back (and killing Jack once and for all) would be neat.

Abaddon isn't coming back. We have WoG on this. He's off to another galaxy.

>Co-opt Simurgh.
Eh. Necessary if you want to control the plot, but otherwise you can ignore her.
>Un-chain Dragon.
Not necessary, just something you should really do. Dragon deserves it.
>Sort out Eidolon, the other Endbringers and Scion.
Pretty easy to get around Scion so that you just don't have to deal with him for your 10 years. Can come back post-spark and wipe the floor with the setting. With him not an issue, Eidolon/the Endbringers aren't a top priority. If you can you SHOULD, but it's not necessary for survival.

Also, should fix Armsmaster ASAP. One of the biggest douchebags in the setting pre-redemption arc, so you should probably get on that if you care. I personally hate the fucker, which is all the more reason to either kill or redeem him immediately.

>>48301724
Abaddon trades shards with other Entities. Don't know much besides that.

>If you can you SHOULD, but it's not necessary for survival.
I should also note that it's insanely easy to arrange for all the Endbringers to be killed off. Pretty easy to arrange for Eidolon to get his shit fixed too, but not AS easy. For the former, have Norton tell Scion to focus on killing the Endbringers, for the latter give your copy of Worm to Contessa (she has a very accurate model of Eidolon). There are other methods (Fletchette can kill Endbringers if she can hit their core), but those are the easiest available in-jump.

Yes, I understood that, and it was established finding a crew isn't an issue. To better state the question I was pondering, were the LoT brand new out of the shipyard how many crew members would be required to operate it using 40k tech only.

Jibril loves knowledge just as much as she loves magically de-atomizing things. Half the reason she agreed to come with me was the promise of new books and knowledge. She's more than willing to curl up on a comfy chair in the Warehouse Archive and just read. Visiting new libraries in each jump is how she spends the majority of her time.

Coincidentally, she's a phenomenal researcher.

On the flip side, she totally gives Lina Inverse a run for her money on sheer collateral damage.

She followed me of her own free will though, or rather, she told me I was taking her with me.

Or else.

Jumperes, do any of you ever use the fanfiction options?

What are some settings that don't have a fanfic option that you wish did?
>>
>>48302311
Not gonna lie, sometimes I do it without the option. Not to gain anything.
Just because The Benefactor is fucking with me, and tossing me into a version of the universe I don't know as well.
>>
>>48302311
>What are some settings that don't have a fanfic option that you wish did?
Harry Potter would be nice
>>
>>48302311
Sometimes, I usually pick Peggy Sue Stories so I can mess with them by changing the flow of events and/or out time traveling them. I would want Harry Potter so I can import "Oh god, not again."
>>

'Sup. Still going, real life has slowed down progress and I'm waiting on lore from the zubmarine DLC.

>>
>>48302311
Wouldn't mind such an option for Worm, as there's actualy one or two settings (depending on the limits) I wouldn't mind being dropped into instead of canon.

Harry Potter as well, but more to fuck with the fanon cast. Maybe hit up Milo? He seems fun to hang with.
>>
>>48302311
Yep all the time. Most people go with you being able to maintain drawbacks across jumps, and the Touhou and Naruto fanverse drawbacks let you choose your fanverse so you could technically visit any fanverse you want. As long as you use it for story purposes I don't see anything wrong with it.

For example I used it to visit
Modded Skyrim - for a much greater challenge, all the cool quest mods, and the bugfixes to the world
Elona+ - As it is just generally better than base Elona
Modded Fallout and Fallout 4 - same reasons as Skyrim
>>
>>48302381
Clover, you're still around! Good to hear. Now I can yell at you for a certain 100cp drawback in RWBY! Anything faster than a brisk run, are you serious?!
In all seriousness though, good to see you're still around. By the way, two questions I wanted to ask: one, if we take Abyssal, what kind of Grimm can we control right away, and for the Dust Grafts, how strong are we? Could we eventually reach Maiden level with enough training/knowledge on how Dust works and how to use it to it's best?
>>
>>48302401
Ah, thought you were going the direction ol' Anti was now that his identity crisis shook up the whole stasis-god thing.

>>48302413
You could have just then.
>>
>>48302426
I was trying to be polite. But okay: Can you buy Dust Infusion multiple times to bond multiple Dust types to your blood? Someone said their build used it a while back and I've been intrigued by the possibilities since.
>>
>>48302426
What do you mean by that?
>>
>>48302417
The Elona jump as-is is actually Elona+ and has options for Elona Shooter, by the way. That's why it mentions Yacatect of Wealth.
>>
>>48301795
If we got Knight of Honor, could we have a different aesthetic? Black shadows with glowing red lines isn't my cup of tea.
>>
>>48302464
I don't see why not, it's an aesthetic thing more than anything else.
>>
>>48302426
>>48302442
That was me actually. I bought dust infusion three time to get the gravity element. There is no canon recipe for most of the combinations but most people agree Earth + Ice (which is Wind + Water) makes gravity. Since combined dust does seem to lose it's component abilities It didn't think it was an unfair thing to do as I paid 1200cp just to be able to use one element.
>>
>>48302464
Probably, since it's less you taking Knight of Honour and more your legend happening to have you using improvised weapons enough/ for something impressive for it to be a major point in it.
>>
>>48302464
I haven't asked Val about that, but I don't see why not. I mean unless you actually intend to be Lancy boy you aren't actually getting his NP, you are more basing your NP off of his. Besides his NP might actually look different if he wasn't a berserker anyway.

>>
>>48302311
I used the fanfic option in Naruto, I went to the Dreaming of Sunshine verse. It does a damn good job of adding in life to the Naruto universe and explaining all the little things that we never get to see.
>>
>>48302476
Mostly I just want to get all the basic elements for the sake of balancing the powers within me, not mixing them together. Specifically, I want to pass that on to my Symbiote when I split them off at the end of the jump. They get any modifications to your biology you've made. I'm planning on importing Gaia from EVO (turned into an AI by an import in the Matrix) so that she'll have elemental power running through her body. Combined with that perk in Bloodborne that amplifies the magical power of your blood and I think it will be a good step towards giving her proper divine ichor fitting her World-Spirit role.
>>

I went with Dreaming of Sunshine for Naruto, because it's pretty decently written, fixes Sasuke so I don't have to (which is good, because I didn't land in Konoha), and goes into a lot of detail about seals. Also I just think the OC is kinda neat.

> What are some settings that don't have a fanfic option that you wish did?
Part of me wants to say Undertale just to be cheeky and terrible.

However, in a more serious note, I feel like Harry Potter is a setting made for visiting horrible fanfics, and it's almost a travesty that it's not available.

Hey Valeria, can you tell me if my build is possible?
Chekhov's Gun
1. Base weapon Gravity Beam Emitter (Blame!)
2. Enchanted (King Arthur) to 'Absorb other items and gain their properties'
3. Absorbed Tracking Gun (Blame!) from >>48052946
4. Dragon-Forged Weapon (Merlin)
5. Import as Barrel Replica (KNK)
6. Import as Seventh Holy Scripture (KNK)
7. Absorbed my Caster (Outlaw Star)
8. Absorbed the Dark Matter Gun (FFXIV)
9. Import as a Golden Weapon (Magical Girl Noir)
10. Utilized Dreadnought Engineering to upscale it to short rifle status.
11. Sword Plant (King Arthur) short rifle.
12. Using Let's Make It Better (Unholy Heights) to improve the traits.
13. EX Rank Item Construction (Fate/Extra) to make an A-Rank Noble Phantasm. [Be sure to use Monster Hunter part, Orichalcum, Orihalcon, Obdurium, etc.]
14. Fill 'Blank Legend' with Colorful Backgrounds (Drakengard)
15. Absorb A-Rank Noble Phantasm.

At first I just wanted to make the upgraded GBE into an A-Rank Noble Phantasm but it has been pointed out to me that this isn't possible since you said something along the lines of 'if you didn't make it piece by piece then it can be made with Item Creation' or something. Is my build viable or dose it need some work.
>>
>>48302311
I want Undertale to have a fanfiction/AU drawback, just so I could go to Storyshift. Then I'd pay 1100cp to recruit Asriel, Chara, and Frisk as companions.
>>
>>48302424
Might change that to 'faster than a speeding bicycle' later on. The Grimm tamed from purchasing Abyssal and its subsequent 3 years of training allow you to instantly tame the smaller/weaker Grimm like the Beowolves from the Red Trailer. With some effort you could tame Ursae in time for Season 1, but it would take a lot of effort and trespassing into Grimm infested areas to be able to tame giant Nevermore. If you want to tame the Grimm Dragon when it shows, I'd suggest stocking up on a lot of perks that accelerate the effects of training. And before you ask, I'll just exempt Salem. Harem perks might help

>>48302442
>>48302476
On Dust Grafts, I didn't actually think people would buy multiple types of Dust. That'll teach me, since to internally balance it I'd have to make the Aura surgery also multi-buy.

I'll have to shut it down for now, since it was based off the powers of Cinder and the lore, and I don't think it is possible to bond multiple types to a single person. But in return I will add more augment options.
>>
>>48300306
My Servant was Assassin; Mochizuki Chiyome.

She was quiet, demure, and obedient. She was basically the perfect lady. Which, of course, was complete bullshit since she was a fucking ninja and both of us knew it. I have to credit her; she was scary good at using her good looks and demure persona to put people at ease. And it was really disconcerting to see her go from politely drinking tea to stabbing people in the face with no transition or breaking demeanor.
>>
>>48302608
Oh, darn. Now I need to find another way to make divine ichor. Well, it's not like I thought you'd answer in the affirmative, anyway. Thanks, for responding, though.
>>
>>48302580
>which is good, because I didn't land in Konoha
If you pick up any Konoha-based bloodlines, you can set your starting village to Konoha for free, in the off-chance you weren't aware.

>Dreaming of Sunshine
Honestly forgot about that. Definitely one of the better fics, although it spent way too long on the filler. I'd probably go with one of the Warring Clans fics though, just to get a completely fresh plot.
>>
>>48302608
Does teleportation count as "faster than a brisk run"?

254. Gundam Advanced Generation
Era: Kio Asuno/Three Generations Arc
Origin: Wildcard, Age: 19, Race: X-Rounder (-200)
Perks: Not It's Intended Purpose, I Like 'Em Big (-200), Could Stand To Lose a Few Pounds (-200)
Fellow Outsiders: Kerbals and SoB
Items: Pilot Suit, Efficiency Design Blueprints (-400)
Gundam Customization: Beam Spray Gun, Heat Weaponry

So, I kind of fucked up here and may have won the war for the Vagans. I just wanted to do what I could to relieve the cause of the war, which was at least partially the suffering of the people. So I cured their disease and populated the planet with plants and lots of water so that it became a jungle. So, since that did nothing to stop their drive for revenge, it actually made the war effort a lot stronger. And I was declared an enemy of the Earth Sphere for aiding them. And they were so close to the end, too.

My gundam hasn't just been upgraded through imports, but Isaac has turned it into something of a pet project and has been having me miniaturize parts for it using my cheat mode perk from SimAnts. This thing has three separate engines, blasts music non-stop, and there wasn't anything here I'd really consider an improvement. So, it's a fairly absurd machine, with the shield bits being fucking monsters especially, with their miniaturized GN particle generators.

I let the Vagans have some blueprints for certain parts because the Earth was gunning for the Jumplands. It quickly became something of a curbstomp and I spent the rest of the jump just utterly failing to negotiate peace. Both sides were vengeance obsessed assholes and I just sort of gave up after awhile. Fuck those martian assholes.

>>48302490
No worries, the hints are very small and I wanted you to be sure too.
>>
>>48302424
>Anything faster than a brisk run, are you serious?!
Shapeshift away mouth, shapeshift new mouth behind you, go fast.
Optionally, shapeshift new mouths on your feet, fly around at high speeds.
>>
>>48302594
That seems fine as is. Not sure why you're bothering with step 14 though.
>>
>>48302637
Depends on what kind. Ultimately, fancy wireworks or superhumans feats of reaction and agility (so, pretty much anything) will have you heaving. While it is incurable, it is not untreatable. Use a steady combat stance, travel medicine, and a teleporter, and you probably won't see carrots that often.

>>48302657

I was aware!

I somehow rolled Hidden Rain and, after weighing the pros and cons of having Konan as my mentor, decided I'd rather be part of the industrialized badguy squad standing right next to all the macguffins.

Also, after Pain dies I can prettymuch just walk into his room and take his eyes. I don't have to pay for SHIT.
Unless Shikako fucks that up somehow.
Not knowing what the fuck is going to happen is fun in its own way.

I actually like the filler.
Pointless character building and interaction is my jam.
It's basically why I'm jumping at all.
>>
>>48302608
Fair enough, and thanks for the clarification. Though if it's not too much to ask could you add being able to choose a secondary dust type for your graft instead at an additional cost? Once dust is combined it loses its component properties so it would still be paying to use only a single element and wouldn't be too hard to rebalance.
>>
>>48302666
Because by filling the Blank Legend in with Colorful Background I get me a neat and slightly grim legend.
It's fun.
Do you think it would have any effect on the power of my NP?
>>
>>48302713
Not even a little. But it'd be more colourful, which is still fun.
>>
>>48302682
Nah, weaponising it would be making your stomach acid super strong, or vomiting fire, or filling your stomach with horrifying crawling spawn.
>>
>>48302689
Much like questions of how intelligence perks affect teching up, or how Thousand Master trains your Expelliarmus, I'm going to have to say yes, it's a noticeable boost, just to side step the whole 'what is the measure of a soul question'/'which settings even have souls?'. Keep in mind, having a strong soul and having a strong Aura is still a matter of training and maturity.

>>48302707
Since you mention that, I'll consider it. The problem then becomes we have no idea what the 'recipes' are, so I'd still have to steal something from either classical alchemy or a JRPG.

>>48302731
Or leaving a gaseous contrail of nauseous acids in your wake that would disorient and blind foes. Which is what a jetpack powered by puke would be.
>>
>>48302765
Gotcha, I'll keep that in mind. This should be the last question, but how does the Grimmoire actually work? It says it uses the power of the Grimm or something like that? So I open the book, and say a Beowulf claw comes out to strike?
>>
>>48302765
Does the Promise between the Bazaar and Masters actually keep them immortal or not? Getting some mixed signals from the lore and I wanted to doublecheck now Seeking's apparently been revamped.

Also do the Masters actually have weird conceptual powers over their titles or not? I know there's at least one series of dreams about Mr Wines and Mr Fires fighting each other, that Mr Mirrors sometimes hangs out in Parabola and that Mr Veils has a souble life going on but other than Mr Eaten I can't recall any blatently supernatural things they did with their spheres of responsibility.
>>
>>48302765
I was thinking more like you just pay 200-400cp more for your secondary of choice, but if you want to dig into what makes what have fun. On a side note are the secondary types even "better" than the primary? I know the lore is pretty shallow but the only difference between primary and secondary types seems to be utility rather than power level.
>>
>>48302782
Pretty much, and like Abyssal it will keep growing until the only difference between it and a demonology textbook is that you are the one in control. And you can hammer people with it. So the things from the show like phantom claws and teeth, razor sharp feather shots, paralytic barbs are what you can expect. Saying any more is the realm of fanwanking.

>>48302838
Well, it was a Correspondence promise, and those are a bit more then legally binding. For those curious it's: All Shall Be Well and All Manner of Things Shall Be Well. The Destinies and some lore indicate that the process can be repeated to transform humans, but I can't say much for conceptual powers/immortality except that killing one and eating them doesn't seem to stop them. The spats between Masters might be about selfishly accumulating personal power rather than actual powers, but I don't know.

>>48302859
Yeah, half again would sound right. The better does seem to be utility, no 'super' element has shown its face to rule over the pleb elements yet, but it's shonen.
>>
>>48302765
>Which is what a jetpack powered by puke would be.
Ohhh. I, uh, actually meant fly around with wings or a flight spell or something, spraying vomit everywhere as you go. But that's a pretty good idea too. Not really a drawback, though.
>>
>>48302884
Alright, cool, thanks.
...alright, I lied about that being the last question, but this one actually is. Is the power armor thing actually dangerous for your sanity, or is that just flavor text?
>>
>>48302890
Eh, it's how Alex Mercer/Blacklight gets around. But with hypersonic blood and open wounds. Or like Ultimate Kars, but with less floating in space.

>>48302894
Safely say that it does not affect your sanity more than the usual set of power armor. As trimethylXANTHINE is pure coffee, the armor gives you a buzz, but nothing that Tony Stark wouldn't get.
>>
>>48302884
Oh hey, >>48302894 reminded me. Thread was pretty sure you could import power armor as a Variable Weapon, could you confirm that? Just asking since I remembered at a time you're actually here.
>>
>>48302927
Ask yourself the following:
1 Is one of the imported weapons capable of hitting things from range? (I'm including bows and crossbows here)
2 Is the other imported weapon capable in any way of being used to hit people in the face while you hold it?
3 Does it cost 25CP to import each weapon, or both? (Any importing will cost a flat 25CP)
4 Will it look totally pimp, stylin, or baller to have these weapons in the same form?

I mean, a trumpet is a weapon. A skateboard is a weapon. There is precedent, but the final form must be shooty/choppy.
>>
>>48302965
>must be shooty/choppy.
Stabby, blasty, bashy or burny included?

Drawbacks: Power Up! (+200)

The Bydo are terrifying. I don't say that about a lot of things. But I'm psychic and have a wide variety of sense enhancements and these things have a lot of human DNA. Isaac took one look at them with his Reverse Engineering shard and he was frothing at the mouth in rage. These things are biotech. They're not-people with only rage and sadness and the need to destroy, left to stew in it for countless millenia.

I vomited. A lot.

We have to wipe them all away.

It's their only hope. To remove them across all dimensions, to use the abyss dimension to destroy them across all history. Not a single one can be allowed, from their initial creation to their final corruption. I will use the Pyre Shards, disintegration canons, ultimate nullifiers, I will attack space/time itself as needed.

I probably won't succeed, but it should be a good waste of time.
