I'm finally getting off my ass and working on the sequel to Royal Guardian. I've got the overarching concept figured out, and a general setting of '200 years after the age of heroes'. I've got two things to figure out before I get into photoshop and start doing the full writing.

I want to include a lot more companions in this one, and some of them might be inspired by RG builds.

I also want to know if you guys have any ideas you'd like to see included. No promises on including them, but I might draw inspiration from them.

In W40K, it's believed that the Emperor became an actual god-like being due to people believing he was a god.

Let's say I ruled over the entire world for a millenium, fathers had raised their sons knowing my name, their sons and grandsons had done the same. Let's say that over time people started believing I could do certain things or had certain properties. You mentioned last time that gods would be thought beings in your DLC, and that god emperor can trigger apeothesis. Hypothetically, would I get any abilities my people thought I had even if I didn't necessarily take on or complete God Emperor or Myth Maker?

I plan to stay loyal to the Crown, but perhaps fate will make it so that I will turn against them. That is to be seen.

Warper is allowed free access to my world, on the condition he takes a few nukes and drops them on the Netherlord.

Everyone else can come get a waifu designed for them too, but you'll have to risk the Warper being willing to transport them and they'll have 50% chance of dying which sucks. Maybe I can design a way around it.

As for the second answer, Reality is Perception is what you're referring to? In that scenario, the problem is that you can't decouple their belief in your power from their belief in your nature. If you want their belief to influence what powers that you have, are you also willing to let it influence the kind of person you are?

That being said, at the end of the day if people want to wank something thematically cool AFTER they have completed a quest, I don't mind in the least. Post-Quest the "challenge" element is done, so if it follows the Rule of Cool, and seems to fit reasonably close to the setting, then go for it.

The drawback costs at least 7 points to take, though, so it isn't a 20 point drawback. You gain 13 points, and if you drop 12 of them into Impervious you an reach level 2, so I doubt most people will be taking that drawback for builds that require extra levels in the physical powers.

I'm not saying I wouldn't take it, I actually like the drawback! I just want to be able to take it alongside Temporally Lost and The Dustbins of History, and having it at 20 points even though it doesn't truly grant 20 points makes it impossible to do so.

As specified there, the sun "slows you down", which I interpret to weaken your strength and speed. fireballs would burn you as they would a normal human being (because upon becoming a vampire, you lost the effectiveness of non-reactor and Temperature Tolerance against fire). You could regenerate from the wounds normally, but you could definitely be killed via sufficient application of fire.

If you removed "without weakness", as above, except the sun would now actively burn you, you would be vulnerable to things like holy water (or the cultural equivalent), and holy magics in general.

Ah, I think you are misunderstanding the drawback slightly, which means I may need to clarify the wording.

Let's say you buy Impervious 3 after taking that drawback. While the drawback is active, you are reduced to the *equivalent* of Impervious 1, but you still have your Impervious 3 perk. Once the drawback is inactive, Impervious 3 regains its full power.

In other words, you're not "losing" 7 points, you are temporarily losing access to those abilities.

As for your other issue, you can take as many drawbacks as you like, you just can't *gain* more than 40 points.

I feel that. Being the companion was core to RG, that's a good way to put it. I am trying the reverse with this one though, while keeping the concept of "you can change the world, but not alone." I am the royal knight, I defend the king, royal family, capital and whole country. King will ride out to fight with enemies and it's my job to protect him and princess at the same time. All in the palace are handpicked by me, known enough to telepathically check if everything is safe, in need I can always "teleport" to them. But I am mainly kings general micromanaging troops with telepathy, having my Corin's outriders to harass enemies, Ali's ships to raid their sea trade, Willhelm with Alana working together to further our nation, keeping Sandra always on hands reach since I have no way of fighting myself . Actually, no, there's no need for that kind of restriction.

Being a werewolf or a vampire isn't actually going to help as long as the drawback is active, because it doesn't "stack" with your existing defenses. So, it wouldn't really be a problem, I don't believe. The drawback would reduce the effective defenses of being a werewolf or vampire to level 0, anyway.

I think I'd go with a sunset for my view, with clear weather. I'd probably go for every combination of view/weather eventually, but I'm really into dusk right now.

For my furniture, I'll take a TV, some game consoles and a gaming PC, and a large jacuzzi tub and shower.

For my companion, I choose a magical being - namely, the Lewd Djinn from the Djinn CYOA. I think she'd keep all her powers, since they would definitely fall under "cuddling and comfy".

For the final gift, I choose bedding, candles, fruits and pastries, and soft carpets. I'm pretty sure a nice bed would fall within the Lewd Djinn's powers, but if not, the bedding and carpets will do just fine.

Basic idea is to unite the Sylvans, centaurs and smallfolk. Smallfolk are good at getting around the beasts of the sea, the Sylvans know how to deal with the living forest, and the centaurs have control over the beasts.

I tried to choose magics so that the different races had something unique defining them. For example, it's certainly not "optimal" to give enchanting only to the stonefolk, when they are my enemy, but it makes sense.

Don't have a build to go with this yet, but it's definitely going to include Major Master of Motion, Major Telepathy, Major Shapeshifting, Gift of Gab, Commander and Economist, along with the ability to imbue a lot of that.

I recently moved to a new life setting. No roommates, no non-online friends. No human contact outside of work. I live, seemingly, to go to work, which is only to get money so that I can continue to live... to go to work to live to work etc.. My self-image is too deep in the gutter to foresee any chance of breaking from this. Looking though a bunch of old CYOAs, I saw the waifu builder where I'm more "pure" than the most pure option listed... That beri is not under the class of things that can be loved. That I'll never be cute enough for things to be otherwise. That whenever I die, there probably won't be any tears for me. I'm even kept to busy to work as much as I want on CYOAs, the only effort I can take to feel as if any part of my existence is appreciated. And most of all, I'm suffering under the weight of knowing that all my suffering is of my own design. That if I somehow just changed my frame of mind, I'd be back to smiles and happiness.

You know, run-of-the-mill self-pity. Nothing unusual for around here. I'll probably feel better after I cry myself to sleep.
