Conduit is like Traveller, it can be anything. I'm looking specifically for a Fantasy setting where you can be a mage, or where the point is you're a mage
Like Bleu, if it was bigger and had more focus on what you can do beyond the class you picked

Still very much a WIP, but about doubled the content since the last one posted, so I figure I will share for the curious.

And the latest of the main CYOA; this one is unchanged since last posting.

Let me emphasize so there is no more confusion: you do NOT have to pay the cost of a level 1 ability to be able to buy the level 2. The cost of the level 2 includes the previous levels.
>>
>>48225781
Your not mischievous, your just a piece of shit.
>>
>>48225698
I agree that a lot of people would consider it a terrible drawback. The problem is that a lot wouldn't. It would be like having a drawback that says that you can't use your powers to help normal people. Yeah, for a lot of players that would be an awful drawback, but for those who are planning on being evil gods anyway, it's no problem at all.

The last thing I want is a bunch of drawbacks that are really only penalties for "good guys/gals".

>>
>>48225806
It's starting to get a bit confusing but I'm liking it a lot. Some questions.

1. Why do vampires lose out so many types of magic? I could see firedancer being impossible for them but the others being impossible kind of implies they're naturally evil which doesn't seem to be the case.

2. Could there be an urban fantasy option or quest? Something to make the world more interesting but keep most of those things hidden from humanity. I like urban fantasy as a genre so I am biased but hey.

3. Not a question but I suspect Blessing of the People will be used to munchkin the world a whole lot more dangerous. 10x regeneration speed gives +4 points which allows you to add Unseelie flitters. 10x regeneration is not all that much.

You already have a bunch of drawbacks that only apply to good guys/gals though. Plenty of the drawbacks can be overcome through planned genocide, wiping out species or other despicable acts.

Cleaver Guy!
Human Male, Familiar Face:(-10points), 17
Beacon Academy, Vale
Semblance: Fast Mover this time.
Gifts/Talents: Memory(-20), Strength(-20), Agility(-20), Intelligence(-10), Energy(-20), Will(-10).
Weapons: Melee will be a two handed meat cleaver with Collapsible, and the second will be a variable Sniper rifle and Assault rifle combo that can use dust charges (Total cost for both 500)
Items & Gear: Scroll(free), Parachute and Grappling Hook(-150) cant be too paranoid and will use the Hook in my fighting, Targeting Glasses(-150) I can only see so far to make a good shot + cool glasses, Wilderness Gear(-50), Dust Charges(-50) for some extra ammo till I get some steady supply.
Waiting on the Amazon and the other two people I may or may not be part of a team with. May the Shenanigans start soon.
>>
>>48225948
Yes, but "overcome" is the key word. They still have to at least *do* something to get over the drawback.

A drawback that makes you not able to connect with mortals emotionally, for some people, they do not even need to overcome it. It literally will not affect how they "play" in any way. That is the key issue.

>tfw want to write a story
>tfw no cyoa that gives you inspiration
Rapture is a possibility, but there's so much text about the houses, and I don't like rape. I just need a lot of choices available, so I can make the exact character I like, you know? And there must be a fleshed-out setting
>>
>>48225923
1. Vampires lose their connection to the natural world, hence the loss of spirit singer. And to my awareness vampires are pretty much universally regarded as incompatible with "holy" magics, even if they aren't inherently evil, per say. I could be persuaded otherwise, though?

2. Probably not. I need to carefully balance so that this thing doesn't get out of hand; I don't want a 30 page document. More modern day stuff like "urban fantasy" is outside of the focus. However, I could probably throw in an option that makes the supernatural easier to hide in general.

3. Yeah, that's a point. Right now I'm trying to just get everything down on paper, then I'm going to have to go through again from the beginning to carefully consider balance issues.
>>
>>48225954
>oh look another generic tolkien cyoa
>>
>>48226015
I guess the question relates to what kind of metaphysics you want. Are vampires the result of soul corruption? Is vampirism inherently demonic, or just a regular sort of curse, or something else? Is it just biological?

Is there such thing as "holy" in this setting? Is goodness an inherent property of some magic? Does this goodness inherently oppose "unholy" things? What qualifies as holy? What doesn't?
>>
>>48226046
To be fair, it's old as fuck and still not fixed.

History: New Arrival
Age&Gender: 18 Human Male
Location: Beacon
Semblance: Force of Nature - Gravity.
Gifts:Ferocity(90), Will(80), Energy(60), Fear(50), Intelligence(40), Agility (20)
Talents:Tactics (0)
Weapons: Variable Halberd/Shotgun(600), Collapsible(550), Dust Mod(500), Additonal Weapon Form - Short Sword (400)
Gear: Armor (300), Targeting Glasses (150), Rebreather (100), Dust Charges x2 (0)

I chose Beacon Academy because the location seems pretty nice, forests are way better than arctic and deserts.
Warm person to teammates, rude to strangers, only cares about opinions from people he values. Despite this, wears targeting glasses and armored clothes mostly for looks.
Combat- utilizing gravity I would try to speed up allies, slow and stop enemies. When I would get more proficient with the power I would use it for transportation and aggressively.
My goal is mostly an easy going everyday life while improving my abilities.
Gravity anon,here.

Elder Lore - 8
Arcane Insight - 6
Guardian - 9
Raiser of the Dead - 9
Lord of the Inferno - 9
Angelic Pinions -7
Avatar of Ice - 11
Wolf's Run -2

Companion: Rhiannon (Need a bodyguard)

Quests:
Boss Monster (Spam his minions with my minions, support Rhiannon and get in close)
The Kyphian Mines (Deactivate traps with minions. Get them to recover everything)
Devil without a Cause (Seal him with Guardian Magic, or bind him if I'm capable enough. Failing that, water elemental spam)
A Divine Affair (Rolled 1d10, got Achaton... Err. Not sure how I'll deal with that)
Whales in the Sky (Summon minions to scout)
Always Read the Manual (Arcane Insight and minions should help)
A Peaceful Village (Arcane Insight and Minions. Maybe a bit of necromancy too)
The Fire Witch (Minions plus physically stalk her)
Incredible Vegetable (Spam the giant angry insects with minions)
Door to Door (Send minions inside to explore, then summon them back)

Why bother doing heroics when you can get minions to do it for you, I ask? Much safer in general. I'd be living the easy life if I could just stop Achaton from trying to jump my bones.

Actually there is retardo, most of the work is in coming up with an idea which you'd do in plain text anyway.
>>
>>48226283
How can I possibly explain this in an even simpler fashion? Let's try this. You have a bunch of games you can play. Some of them are clearly very polished and well-designed. Some of them have some interesting ideas, but those ideas are poorly implemented and the games have noticeable bugs. Some games are completely broken, worthless garbage.

You might start up some games in the second category to see what they've got going on, but you're not going to 100% them. You won't bother touching category three. Mostly, you'll stick to category one or do something other than playing games.

The RWBY CYOA is in category two.
>>
>>48226418
Just think it through more indepth. Why do you want to make this? What's the setting like? How do demonic powers work, and why did the MC inherit them? What do demons want? What's their mission?

When you can answer all those, you'll have way more ideas.
>>
>>48226354
Should have specified. Mother is Vaneis, Olympic Parentage.
>>
>>48226418
1. Start researching. Use wiki and google to learn about demons.

2. Start brainstorming. What sort of categories do you want? What kind of choice system do you want? What kind of different builds do you want people to make?

3. Make the thing.

Thanks for answering! Why shouldn't there be any barriers to trade tho? I guess I still don't understand the idea.

Also if I limit the moving of goods to only non-polluting modes of transportation such as wind-powered boats. Boats whose wood must come from sustainable timbering. Would that constitute a barrier to trade?

I suppose the name is confusing; I suppose I should rename it to something like "Open & Sustainable", or "Prosperous & Sustainable" or something like that.

No, it's that the teacher had a relationship with one of his female students, got dumped, and is now organizing that whole class to punish her and her new bf in stupid scenarios. Note how he wanted everyone to have sex together but made her bf a gay farmer in an attempt to cuck him back in his imagination.

Part 1/3:

Training:
Sexual: 1 point, 0 survival
Social: 2 points, 10% survival

Site:
The Ship : 1 point, 10% survival. The pilot and the sexbot will be a great help, and communicating with Earth will probably let us request supplies if necessary.

Colonists:
Catalina: 0 points, 0% survival. Good for just pure fucking (possibly hate-fucking) and maybe for some limited domestic stuff. My sexual and social training will help keep her calm instead of constantly bitching about the conditions.

Felissa: 0 points, 0% survival. We have similar interests, and my training will also help with her.

Meimei: 1 point, 5% survival. Mostly because I like the picture and older women. Her chemistry skills will probably come in handy somehow. My training will make seducing her easy, and then we can try out all kinds of stuff (possibly involving the other girls)

Brooks: 1 point, 10% survival. Her physical strength and sense of duty will help us build up the colony, and her combat skills and firepower will defend us. Also, I love sexually aggressive, muscular women. My training will make me ready for her animalistic sexuality. She can also help keep Catalina in line if my charms aren't enough.

Madison: 1 point, 5% survival: She'll help us grow food, and will probably also help to keep spirits up.

Nadja: 2 points, 10% survival: Keeping us protected from the environment will be very important with our limited initial accommodations. Her sensitivity to touching or flirting will be greater with my training, which will motivate her to work harder.

Keira: 2 points, 10% survival: Together with Nadja, her mechanical skills will make better shelters, and more quickly. Her laid-back attitude will be helpful for the initial stresses of
setting things up. Possibility of threesomes with Meimei.

I am Wizard Cop. Endowed with great magical powers, and assisted by my own clone, a magic superdog, and the little girl, I fight supercrime.

Yes, the public hates me. Yes, a shapeshifting assassin is trying to kill me. Yes, my balls don't work. And yes, a posthuman machine bitch is trying to recruit me. But I'm a total fucking badass who's almost impossible to kill, and I've got this set of magic gauntlets that empower my Earth magic. I can even give one to my clone for synergy! We can even link hands to become a temporary hivemind, thanks to our mental powers.

We'll be fine, probably.

>>
>>48227668
Part 2/3:
Colonists continued:
Naomi: 3 points, 10% survival: Another hot older woman. She and Madison can work together on food. They'll probably be able to increase food production so we always have more than we'll need, which will prevent Catalina from being too much of a dead weight. Her disabilities will be less of an issue with my improved social skills. She and Felissa will probably get along well and help each other out.

Complication:
"Did you see that?" for 1 more point. Keira can build sensors to detect whatever it is and drones to fight it. Brooks will also have the firepower to fight it. Nadja might be able to make a radiation weapon to kill it, or Naomi could make a poison to kill it. The sexbot is probably pretty tough, too, and I imagine the pilot has some military training.

Overall, that brings us to 70% survival chance.
>>
>>48227697

Yeah I've already started that for some like businessmen and diplomats, but I still want spacesoldiers to look spacesoldiery with spacearmour and spaceguns, or for space engineers to have spacespanners and spaceoveralls.

There's some stuff around, but it's a pain in the ass having to open like 15 thumbnails to find one usable image.
>>
>>48227743
That's the price you pay for relying on other people's work.
>>
>>48227730
Part 3/3:
I went for numbers, because if I'm going to be on a distant colony for an indeterminate period of time, I want a wide variety of women there with me. I've got an Amazon, some MILFs, girls
who are more or less my equals, and one "trophy fuck" girl (Catalina), plus the pilot, and even a sexbot. Some are dominant, while others are more submissive, and I'm a switch, so I'll be able to indulge both my submissive and dominant parts. I have the sexual and social training to make sure they're all satisfied and more willing to listen to me. I also imagine a larger number of women being more productive for our breeding mission. If I ever really need to relieve some stress and be completely selfish in bed, the sexbot will be good for that. They also have a variety of skills, which will be good for building and expanding the colony and compensating for the missing 30% survival chance. I'm sure Catalina will bitch a lot at first, but I should be able to calm her down, and we should be able to build things up quick enough that we won't have to put up with her complaining for long. Then maybe we can make an arrangement where in exchange for not having to work, she agrees to be naked all the time and let me fuck her whenever I want, wherever I want, without question. My sexual training will make her agreeable to that. I'll talk her into not trying to dominate the other girls, with the threat of Brooks as my last resort.

While I'm sure I'll still have to work, my role will probably be more passive, and mostly about maintaining morale. And, of course, breeding. I'm sure Naomi and Meimei will come up with
some interesting concoctions to enhance that part, and my training will ensure that they're all happy, eager, and enthusiastic.

I can't really see any reason not to take Catalina and Felissa. It's two more girls for free.

I think you're conflating spirits with ghosts or something. Nature spirits can be of the possessive kind in mythologies, but not always. In this case, they are not.

And the monkey thing is certainly doable. However, the monkey isn't going to receive the benefit of Artistic. That is, unless you buy artistic for all companions using the rules to do so, and make the monkey your companion. Otherwise, it's going to learn music as well as a normal human can. Won't be able to sing, though, lacking the correct vocal chords.

Since there's obviously no real choice between a gun and being extremely rich, let's just say that picking the gun, the knives, the vehicles, etc, gives you more than just the item. It gives you access to reliable black market contacts that can get you that item along with everything that item needs to function.
>>
>>48228206
Still not worth it. You'd be better off treating "perks" like wealth and influence as a different thing from "gear" like guns, armor, and upgrades.
>>
>>48228131
>>48227987
>>48227961

In the DLC you mentioned that the Empire Quest only works for a human empire. Would you consider adding another quest/changing it so that Empire would count also/only the conquering of the entire world and/or the unification of peoples of every single race, tribe, kingdom etc into one(my) empire whether or not the PC is still human by the end?
>>
>>48225824
There should be a power to allow for making magic items/transmuting stuff. Like ALchemy of some kind.
>>
>>48228245
Not the author btw. Putting the wealth and influence perks in a 'what makes you relevant' section might be a good idea. I'd still make the single items work less like a single purchase and more reliable contacts that can get you the chosen item and the necessary periphery.

No, I'll just deal with having a few short term wives with dubious hygiene, and then take my time finding the perfect companion in the post-WW2 era.

Total points 3
Companion: Old Friend(Max the Super Dog) Free.
Adventure companions(-1):Elralinde the Elven Necromancer, she is interested in my Mutagens and wants to see how well we work together, and Theema the Fire Warrior because she challenged me to a fight when I showed up and I trounced her, has taken to following me around when we met Elranlinde.
Nation: Skylands.
Location: Wizard Tower.
Contact: Young mage.
Artifact: Nullblade(-1), with mind and focus 2 from my build this will cut through just about everything short of a god, and the Scanner Device(-1) for scanning now magic loot.
Explorables: Necropalis is for Elralinde, and then we go to the Sun Temple so Theema can get a few new fire spells and a good fight, probably.
Drawbacks Hostile Hostiles: I will take three for three more points and in order. The Behemoth(I always wanted a good monster hunt and this thing is coming to me, gonna try out the new sword to get inside and kill it that way, should be easy to survive sense I don't need to breath and I am immune to poison and other shit like that), Cult of the Void(I am a freak wherever I go apparently), The Ardent Flyer(if I can have a few good fights from them then so be it, I will probably crush them at some point and I can cash in on the obvious bounty, plus no one steals from my homeland). Pints available 3. Going to spend 2 points on getting another location by taking the Pirate Ship with the free contact being the first mate. Then I will spend the last point on Upgrading the ship to a Swift Flyer, I need my pimp ship to keep the other pirates in line. Don't need a elemental Lance sense I am on the ship with my companions.

I don't hate cars, I hate how car culture has shaped our cities and communities to the point where there are no other (realistic) options for getting from Point A to Point B.

But that's just an example from the dumb, pre-one-in-a-million intelligence version of myself. Who knows what I'll be thinking once I'm a fucking genius?

>>
>>48226108
wow, you were not kidding.
The movie ends with ten minutes dedicated to how the girl is cucking her boyfriend with her teacher, which breaks at least one law.
And that's after he tried to blackmail her into participating in his "game", AND after lowering her grade repeatedly.
The teacher really is a fucking fuccboi

>Where is that written?
I presume that guy is going by the logic that "if it's something that you get from making a build, it doesn't apply to anyone other than me". In other words, since only they get to make a build for it, none of the things they can choose are available to the others that get dragged along.
>>
>>48229070
>where is that written

>only you can make a build
The first part of the cyoa is picking a house, so since anon can't make a build, he can't pick a house.
If you made a cyoa where there's a genie, and no one but you gets to make a build for it, that means they don't get the genie.

anon it's okay that you want to rape defenseless people (it really isn't, but that's a discussion for another time), but at least try to have some logic to it.
>>
>>48228986
Not what I was expecting, this is going it in the funny folder.
>>
>>48229153
It could be argued that "only you get to make a build" implies that everyone else is just inserted into the setting with no control over their fate, meaning they'd just be forced into random student positions in the Academy.

That said, if you want this rape enthusiast to stop posting about rape, you need to stop giving him attention. Since attention is obviously what he wants.

Inquisitive: By what archaic standards does one measure the degeneration and decay of the soul?

Ancient philosopher believe that writing eroded the mind and corrupted the soul, as all proceeding scholars no longer needed to commit every word and every sentence to memory on the fly as required by oral traditions of learning and apprenticeship.

Confucius scholars and Taoist monks thought mirrors were gateways to the spirit world and its alignment within one's home dictated the flow of positive and negative energy, misalignment invited evil, which slowly siphoned your lifeforce and devoured your soul.

Conservatives from the turn of the century thought that photography stole your soul and prevented you from ascending to heaven upon death.

And even today, the internet and the widespread use of mobile devices have slowly destroyed the attention span of its dedicated users. Many Christians still view these communication technologies as examples of the devil's dark magic.

Because what we're dealing with here focuses mostly on the semantics and definitions of the subject (as one anon has already pointed out) it seems that if we are to contend that humanity exists, there are criteria for 'humanity' that are physical rather than mental. Mental criteria are already fairly shaky grounds to measure things on; insofar as it deals with things that have a concrete physical manifestation (i.e speech) it's adequate, but it is beyond us to be aware that others think like we do; we simply hold the belief that there exist other minds, and although this is perhaps the most succinct explanation of why other minds appear to have free will, it does not withstand extreme scepticism.

If we entertain this view, 'Humanity' - which is perhaps best seen as a relatively tight group of objects that have certain physical traits - is in this view a matter upon which the precise psychological nature of the subject has no bearing, insofar as it aims to express itself beyond a simple statement of emotional range and approximate 'processing power' (if you will pardon the term).

It follows thus that exceeding the range of approximate intelligence - or indeed falling below it - makes one deviate further from the norm; by deviating mentally or physically far enough from the norm, you will lose the right to be reasonably called human.

Thus to deviate too far from the norm - which runs on primarily biological criteria - is to cease being human. Physical properties are more objective than mental ones, or at least less subjective, and ergo more useful for definition.

Any anons got any further comments? I think I might've forgotten some things.

Analysis: Even if you base one's humanness primarily on the biological and physiological properties of the human body, you will still run into some questionable arbitrations.

For instance do we measure humanness by one's natural ability to accomplish all the physical tasks by say the 50th percentile of the human population can accomplish human biological and physiological means? Or it so purely based on embryonic origins; one must be born from human parentage in order to be considered human?

If a individual has poor hearing, poor eyesight or has lost a limb or appendage due to a illness or accident and must use a prosthetic substitute in order to properly function as a human being, does that handicap make the person less human? Or for individuals that have very poor or almost no motor function whatsoever such as famous cases like Steven Hawking, are they any less human as a result of their immobility?

Or in the case of origins, are test tube babies less human then babies born completely from a mother's womb? And if cloning technology was allowed to be used on human subjects would cloned humans be less human then the naturally grown equivalents?

Curious: The more thought and processing power invested to compute the ideal perimeters of the human condition, the more questions and mysteries arise.

The benefits of the different races completely overshadow any interesting or unique thing about them.

You should probably read up then.

Companion: I have been a part of many battles to the death, I will now take this chance to explore this new world with Emily(the Lost Technician), and these 2 adventures(-1) to come with us: Theema the Fire Warrior is sure to appreciate my skills in battle while we travel together, and then I can unwind with Emily and Kim(the fae blooded Sorceress).
>>48226785
Nation: Sky lands. Location. Wizard Tower for a defendable home to search around from, and maybe seeing about some permanent utility magic to make me eternally young( or at least in my early 30s or mid 20s), especially seeing as I am just about un-killable. Contact: Young Mage, I haven't had a chance at a relationship while working for the Cult of my homeworld, so I wont waste an excellent chance here for another companion to come along with me while I explore with the others.
Artifacts: I will take the Scanner Device so Emily can use it on the loot and other miscellaneous things we find, maybe even some things for the Young mage. And I will take the Null blade as I don't have any magical talent other then my Self Improvement skill, should be a simple adjustment with my combat skill and willpower to just cut through everything.
Explorables: I suppose we could go to the Sun Temple seeing as Theema wants to have a good fight and clearing out a holy temple is bound to have a few exciting fights. Then I guess me, Kim, Theema, the Young Mage and Emily can take the challenge of Finding the Floating Mountain, Emily and the Young Mage say it might be an invisibility spell gone wrong, but Theema, Kim, and me don't want to take a risk on them going alone to find it. After that me, Emily, and the Young Mage can go for a trip to the Jungle Ruins, Theema is going to come along to help protect the two of them from the looters coming to the city while we investigate. After we are done with each one, I guess we will take it easy in the city around the wizard tower and relax together or study.

Liber anima are the sneaky ectoplasmic Jews of the necromancy world, they work behind the scenes manipulating others to do their dirty work for them to install a New World Order, or at least that's how I would envision them going about world domination.

And no I don't escalate this dickwaving competition any further, if you're just going to assume other necromancers are just going to spill their most prized secret knowledge to you, giving you access to essentially all of the schools, then it really doesn't matter what you're starting spells are.

But I will say this there are ways to get around soul wards, remember it doesn't remove spirits already present in the body, so all a Liber anima needs to do is plant a sleeper agent spirit within all of your creations before you get the chance to set up the wards, or just cast undying servitude on the souls already present in the bodies.
>>
>>48231908
Spirit Ward is a T4 spell. It's literally babby's first spell. Not to mention all those ancient companions who somehow want to take you on as an apprentice amongst which Cassandra and Enhinat, masters of the Liber Anima.

I would argue because you don't have the Liber anima spellbook, its still going to take you longer to learn it even with guidance.

Drawbacks: Hostile Hostiles. Behemoth because I want to see what's keeping it alive and the Null blade and my powers will let me do that, The Rogue Tower as they might be responsible for the Floating Mountain losing contact and they want to stop us, Cult of the Void( HOW THE HELL DID FIONA FUCKING DAWLEY GET HERE!) this cancer wont leave me the fuck alone and if I have to I will come and kick their ass with my super human muscle. with the tree points gotten from them I will get the location Pirate Ship with the free first mate(-2) and then upgrade the ship to a Swift Flyer. My companions can ride while I fly alongside them seeing as I can go faster then the ship, we can also work for the city and hunt other pirates. Emily can also study the ship and improve on its armaments, seeing as I can pump out the force of an elemental lance on a bad day, I'll handle the heavy fights, while the crew runs interference and boarding actions. Well if anything is still left of a ship I attack. Done, how did I do.

Myth Maker
I honestly won’t work that hard to make achieve this one. I feel like I’ll have more fun just enjoying my thousands and thousands of years playing god among mortals. If it wasn’t for the requirement that I be multiple gods, I’d probably work harder at it, but it seems like a bit of a hassle. I might eventually pursue it just to kill some time.

I plan to set myself up as a deity and bring some civilization to these prehistoric savages. My intelligence, charisma, physical power and durability, and my knowledge of science and technology should be enough desu. That doesn’t even take into account my incredibly op weather fuckery and my healing abilities. How could they not worship me as I bring pleasant weather, great harvests, and good health to their community? I might flood the world with rainstorms at some point tho.

The thing is, people don't believe *you* are a god. Frankly, they don't know *you*.

They believe there *is a god* who looks like you. Subtle, but important.

So, you could end up with a bunch of demi-gods who are going around doing stuff that you are known for doing. Probably pretty easy to take credit for it, at least.

But, no, you can't become powerful via that option. I will add a disclaimer of some kind.
>>
>>48232442
Drusa, every time.

>>48232874
You math is right, and looks good!

I should clarify that even Major Stormsage isn't enough to bring floods all over the earth at once, if that's what you were thinking. You could travel from land to land, flooding them, though, if that's what you meant.
>>
>>48228855
>the Elder gods.

Uhh considering the power level of the quest so far that's probably not a good idea. While the lesser and middle lovecraft horrors are proibably fine the actual Elder gods would just shit all over the CYOA.
>>
>>48232966
Oh I knew that about Stormsage, I was really just talking about flooding the world that my worshipers knew about. The same way the biblical flood wasn't actually global but was actually just a very large but pretty localized thing.
>>
>>48233049
I didn't intend to just say "smack, there are elder gods all up in your world, eating on your sanity".

I haven't even decided for sure to put that in. If I do, it will be more like "there are forces and horrors trying to bring in the elder gods. Don't let them".

So at what point do "many options" become "too many options"?
It's probably going to be decided on a case-by-case basis but does anyone have any general guidelines they like to work with?
>>
>>48233412
Depends on situation, complexity and time investment. Traveller can do as much as it wants because of its absurd premise as a multiverse inter-reality throwdown. Alice can do the same as it exited cyoa territory and became a writefag tool for self flagellation. But of course these are the far end examples.

Most cyoa will fit into a genre, and persist within that genre, being limited by that, as by the interests of the creators. The moment it extends beyond the reasonable limits is when the cyoa becomes tedious. There is no 'hard' rule to this beyond persisting within the authors expectations.
>>
>>48233304

>>
>>48233916
Ok finally thought to check and yeah you're the author.
I have a few questions.
Are you planning editing it further? Like adding more minion options or items?
Can the werewolves morph any time they want?
Why do I need ghoul and natural weapons to create a stock ghoul?
Can ghosts possess creations I make through using spells from the promraen caro?
I'm pretty sure I had some more, but I can't think of any right now.

I think its both, just think of it as Gohan going Super Saiyen 2 or something along those lines, or at the very least that if used with Self improvement 2 and Overcharge 3.
