So are Angels all lawful good or something? If I choose to be one, and be unambiguously Good, but also very Chaotic, how are people/angels going to react to that?

Oh, and who's a better companion? Avacyn or Nahiri?

It got posted here awhile back. Got panned for any number of reasons, leading to it getting rejected and Babylon picking it up. Most notably it doesn't cap Essence (6+ charms are obscenities, by the time you hit 10 you're throwing around ridiculous perfect conceptual bs by so much as breathing), is dry as the Sahara flavor wise, stole at least one perk from Forgotten Realms (Experience Like a River), barely tries to balance the options, and arbitrarily groups exaltation types together for perk lines. For instance Sidereal and Lunars share a line. Babylon meanwhile is going full Warhammer Fantasy, with each individual exaltation having a perk line. He might've improved it some since it was posted here but a quick glance shows little improvement, and a lot of piling more crap on. Here's the archives of the thread it was posted in:
http://archive.4plebs.org/tg/thread/46672845/#46675908
Seriously, just wait for the one from Babylon, he looks like he actually knows what he's doing and isn't making a mib tier jump.

Most Angels in MtG are Good of various flavors. There are a few who are Neutral or Evil though.

Avacyn is Waifu Tier
Nahiri is a massive bitch

Also don't forget the SB Exalted allowed for Alchemical Exalted creation by Jumper, when LITERALLY ONLY AUTOCHTHON has the authority for that.

And he justified it with Young Justice.

I know of gittrog he has death touch, this is a lot scarier than it appears, so I feel keeping my powers and helping the lady angel there is my best bet instead of megatoad fighting.

I cannot express how much I enjoy this jump.

Not taking avacyn with me though, she belongs here. I need to see if I can learn some of that rotspeak sorin has in the books.

Its a reference to a meme started by Super Best Friends, which originally started as this image
>>
>>47866315
It involves some guy named John Constantine or something. If I'm remembering wrong I suggest Food Fight.
>>
>>47866332
That was various Planeswalkers during Time Spiral, Nahiri wasn't even a character back then.
>>
>>47866223
nahiri basically screwed an entire world in a year she can work stone to control magical flow seal eldrich abominations and make incredible weapons and has the mental discipline to map her entire world from memory. also pretty nice person if you put the effort in in the hellvault to not have her alone for 1000 years.

avacyn is a super angel thats probably closer to a minor god and thinks in a really alien manner she gets on well with children because they are pure and uncomplicated and doesn't like smiling even when she is in fact satisfied.

angels are not unambigously good though they tend that way to the extreme they all went nuts when nahiri messed up the plane and they tend to order and community as white magic beings.

Could I use the Dark Wisdom perk from Overlord to eventually train up to 5 Arcanum in each category in the Mage: the Awakening jump?

>>47866616

Regularly training Arcanum + having a fuckboatload of time ought to be of help enough, but Dark Wisdom will definitely reduce the amount of time needed.

>>
>>47866549
Is there even a Lilo and Stitch Jump?
>>
>>47866701
Ten.

If the jumpmaker had capped it at Mastery there'd be no problem, but they capped Gnosis which has all sorts of run on effects, including being unable to get the third attainments from legacies. They're then making some way to get around that for a DLC. A lot of work for such an easy fix.

Seriously, all they had to do was disallow archmastery and the jump would have been fine.
Also, why is the jump in the imageless folder? Didn't the jumpmaker upload it there without posting it to the thread?
>>
>>47866724
There's not a Lilo and Stich jump, but I guess you could use the Disney Princess jump if you wanted. Choosing Stitch, who's from a scifi-ish story, in one of the positions could make a nice contrast if all the other characters are from magic based settings.

Or someone could just make a Lilo and Stich jump if they wanted. Could be fun. Maybe drawing on the animated series if they're having trouble coming up with stuff from just the movie or the sequel.
>>
>>47866911
Until someone here makes a better Mage The Awakening jump, it's all we have.

and besides, ASA made a build for it. For most of the people here who worship him, that validates the jump.
>>
>>47866911
>>47866927
The thread in general was in favor of it being allowed after looking at it. Though I think you're just the same guy stirring shit and attacking a name so this is pointless.
>>
>>47866650
Probably not since the cap on gnosis is jump fiat.
>>
>>47866918
There's also the anime series.
>>
>>47866911
Yeah, that would have been the better answer.

Also it was uploaded here. I think they did limit the times you can take the 'stay here' drawback though.

It's a pretty good jump, so I think it's staying. If he tries to update it again without going through thread I don't think that'll fly though.

Also, we had shitposters going on about it for a while then when things calmed down people seemed fine with it. Please don't try to stir up that argument again.

>>47867030

>>
>>47867011
Scatovore has been haunting us since the Hitman Reborn Jump. If anything you're a petty imitation - a tiny turd totem before the idol that is our god of shit.
>>
>>47866725
I'd wank until the DLC comes out that you can reach third attainment anyway. That's really the only major thing that Gnosis 5 messes up badly. The lack of 6+ attributes doesn't really matter for a jumper, 7 spells active at once before getting into minor pool penalties isn't a particularly hard cap, and the cap also serves to make it so you actually have to prioritize Arcana instead of having all but two at 5.
>>
>>47866955
I was thinking that Dark Wisdom would let you learn spells (does MtAw use spells? If not, Arcana) that you'd reguarly need >5 gnosis for.
>>
So, ladies, gentlemen, jumpers.
Now that I have the ability to Create an Avacyn-tier Angel once per Jump to act as a Protector, and Hero of Justice, I got to thinking.
How will some worlds react to this being?

Resident Evil?
A Song of Ice and Fire?
Doom?

>>
>>47867053
The limit on Arcana dots is explicitly impossible to circumvent. Might help you some with creating rotes without mastery though. Rotes for reference turn spells into Attribute+Skill+Gnosis instead of just Arcana+Gnosis. They're especially handy for jumpers considering most jumpers have absurd stats.

You might want to give some other items to the non-vampire backgrounds, maybe one thing? They get the Silver Dagger which werewolves wouldn't like, while Vampires get a weapon and armor free.

I mean do you need one that gives White mana to use your Angel powers, to do things like Blessing and Warding, or pass the 'energy' along to do the same with the capstone?

I was also meaning if I can have them appear in new jumps in the one spot. I don't care if you can't and know there's no distance on it, I'm just curious if you don't buy any lands do you have no mana/magic at all? If that's the case you might want to give one free just so they can actually use their magics, like the story capstone if you need to have a blue land.

I think the closest LOTR would have to a Mary Sue, given the original meaning that required both (1) perfect/idealized character and (2) young or low-ranking person with unrealistic abilities would be, and the current meaning that seems to be basically "this is the author's wish-fullfilling self-insert"...

Hmm. Frodo? Aragorn? Legolas? Samwise? Tom Bombadil? Do any of them really fit?
>>
>>47868538
Do you know how Christian heaven is actually described in the Bible? It's sitting around in a boring, static dimension, doing nothing but praising god 24/7 while feeling enforced rapture. It's hellish.

And the Elves can claim humans are favored of Eru, but at the end of the day elves are given all the gifts. All of them. In every single way they are vastly superior to humans, and this is supposed to be counterbalanced by humans dying faster, of all things.

>>47868569
The original meaning is solely for bad self-inserts. Tolkien's self-insert is Beren, who himself isn't a particularly bad character, he's not perfect and unflawed.

Correction: Elves do not know what happens to them when Arda dies. Only humans were promised to be part of the next world, Elves don't know. They however have faith that they will, and get to be superior to humans in the next world and everything. This trusting faith is obviously meant to mirror a good Christian's towards God. And considering who Tolkien was, I doubt very much that he would've wanted the elves to have seriously died with Arda.

Jumpers a question I have for you. What do you think of Immortality? Is it a blessing or a curse to you?
Don't you think that seeing those you have bonds with grow old and die while you say the same as a horrible way to live? Those that stood by you disappearing one by one because of disease, battle, leaving you for their own path, or perhaps the sands of time took them.
Or do you see it as a opportunity? Being able to live and see how you could change the world or experience all that the world has to offer and whatever the future holds. Perhaps being a person who keeps records of all the humanity had to offer to show to the future generations.
Sorry if this sounds like some stupid first year psych student bullshit I am just curious on how living for so long could still appeal to some Jumpers.

The only reason they didn't get mind-controlled by their rings was because theirs weren't made by Sauron. And they still had to hide them because Celebrimbor cribbed off Sauron's notes so if the latter got a good enough look he could hijack them.

You're digging the whole deeper anon.
>>
>>47868906
Of course it would be while delivering presents in Kung Fury. Why wouldn't it be?
>>
>>47868865
I see it as an opportunity, seeing as I can change countless worlds in different ways, read every book in all of them, develop skills to their logical extreme, and create new works to improve peoples lives. I couldn't do any of that if I lived a normal 80-100 Year life. It probably helps that I never really easily related to people or made connections with them in the first place, and the person I spend the most/ any significant amount of time in is just as if not more immortal. Not to mention my allies probably won't permanently succumb to any of those if they do not wish to, since the earlier mentioned companion is the Maid of Life/ A Cleric/ Level One Hundred + Realm of Heroes Divine Caster, and I pass out Symbiotes like candy on Halloween. Of course, if someone I like finds dying to be their best option, I won't take that from them.
>>
>>47868865
It's a thing, preferable to the alternative regardless of any opportunity. I've never seen losing people to be more traumatic than my memories of those people being beneficial. I've never found the downsides of Immortality to be so great as many other people seem to in the first place. So regardless of the entire, not dying aspect, it comes out a positive on basically all counts in the first place.
>>
>>47868865
Immortality is a curse if you have no one to share it with
>>
>>47868865
Anon, I'm a bit of dino, so I've had a few people leave or die on me long before I even started jumping. And I think you're kind of looking at it the wrong way. RL has plenty of ways to off you before you can get bored, without you having much say n the matter. Jumping on the other hand not only gives you perks to resist being offed, it gives you more opportunities to avoid being bored, and the cherry on top is the possibility of being able to share some of that - including immunity to age and disease, and even coming back from death itself - with those you love back home.
>>
Jumpers! For those of you who've jumped LoTR, how many of you yoinked the Arkenstone? A show of hands everyone.

Myself, I took Steven Universe right after, and what do you know, I have a very fancy jewel lying around...
>>
>>47868865
Immortality is only a curse when you have nothing new to experience or no goals to achieve. With the infinite variety of worlds open to a jumper this is never a problem. There is always something new to discover, someone new to meet, someone stronger to fight, and the challenge of the obtaining the spark to drive you on when you're feeling lost.

As for people dying or being left behind the greatest lesson of the jump chain is that the joy is in the journey. Their journey may intersect with mine for a time, and I may be able to completely change their life for good or bad with my power, but it is not my place to take away the joys of challenge and personal attainment by simply giving them everything they wanted. It is their life to live and I can only hope that my part in it made things more interesting for them.

The only issues are it is easy to lose your sense of self when you get entirely new memories from different a personality uploaded most every jump, and when the people you meet would literally die of old age before they can listen to all of your adventures and comprehend your character in a meaningful fashion it is hard to have meaningful relationships. Companions are a thing though and thank the Benefactor for that.

It's a blessing and a curse. A terrible privilege.
It won't sadden me to see friends and family go, as long as they had full, joyous lives and accomplished everything they wished. Most people I meet don't wish to live forever. Those that do I will offer the cursed blessing.

With an infinite amount of time, I can do truly limitless amounts of things, and help an infinite number of other people.
I could compose a wealth of knowledge that has never been witnessed before or since.
I could create works so great that my name will be forever spoken in hushed tones, at the marvel of my craftsmanship.

But those are just the carrots in this situation.
The stick is that I'm unsure of what would happen to me if I died at this point. My soul and metaphysical makeup, in addition to the questionable things I've done, make it a real puzzle of where I would go. On the off chance that I may be facing oblivion or eternal suffering, the prospect of dying is a completely unacceptable.

tl;dr
Immortality is awesome and sucks at the same time.
I'd give immortality to people I care about who want it.
I'm scared of dying.

Nah, I'd lost my magpie tendencies by the time I jumped LOTR. Took holos though.

There's also the possibility, at least in the books, that it could be a Silmaril, in which case it /might/ be needed at the end of the world to restore the light of Arda depending on whether you accept the prophecies as canon and valid. I wouldn't want "doomed a universe because I was greedy" as a legacy.

KOTOR, how far can the normal teleport from Teen Titans go? Not the Cambion one, the one in the thief perk tree?

That bothers me too anon. There's a perk in the Redwall jump called "I Am That Is" that may give you some closure . It gives you ancestral spirit guides in every jump you visit but most importantly is the last part.

"Finally, should you ever die once and for all (whether valiantly in defense of the innocent or
peacefully in your sleep), a fragment of your spirit will live on in each world you have visited, to guide and advise other warriors for truth and justice... and, perhaps, to grant them access some shadow of your vast powers."

Just one jump before bed tonight, but I feel good about it.

>Jump 54: Dresden Files
>The Hermit, reversed (Concealment, disguise, and unreasoned caution.)
Hey, I'm pretty sure telling people I'm a jumper means the whole world is brought down on my head. This caution is ENTIRELY reasoned.
>Age: 24
>Location: Chicago
>Identity: Sorcerer (-100)
White Council? No thanks, I'm good.

>Drawbacks: (+700)
>The Hex (-100)
It's a damn good thing revolvers worked during the Civil War era, but otherwise... yeah, this is going to be a jump where I'm going to find a nice cabin on the edge of town and live like an eccentric. The only way I'm going to get around quickly is teleporting, though. No flying around in power armor this time around.
>Female Gaze (-100)
I can live with having a soft spot for women, as long as it means that I can deal with them once they show their true colors.
>...And It Wasn't My Fault (-100)
I'm a jumper. Collateral damage is second nature. This is what repair spells are for, right? ...what do you mean, it won't work on electric devices more complex than a telegraph during this jump?
>Faerie Debt (-200)
Hooray, I get to get three wishes from my fairy godmother! ...give. You meant give. Damn it.
>Death Curse (-200)
Well, it's better than Mab figuring out I'm an outsider. This, coupled with the Hex, is going to mean bad luck all around. That's okay. It'll make my time here interesting. In the sort of way that people say "may you live in interesting times".

>Somewhere, a fire is lit. A flask glows yellow, due to the syrupy substance inside.

>Somewhere, a blade attached to a microphone stand floats in the water. A black-haired girl picks it up, not knowing to whom it belongs.

>Somewhere, deep in a great tomb, a suit of armor clatters to the ground. The tomb's master looks on with some confusion.

>Somewhere, a gauntlet falls from the sky, clutching a flag closely. Creatures resembling potatoes with faces and limbs look at the torn banner and weep.

>Somewhere, a sword falls from the sky. A dragon looks upon it with some disdain.

>Somewhere, a young girl with pink hair finds a murky crystal. She has a look at it, curious as to its purpose. If only she knew.

>Somewhere, a bucket falls on the head of a sleeping comedian. He opens his eyes briefly - and realizes one more thing he'd done paid off, if only briefly.

>Somewhere, a long pole falls into the hands of a girl in a white dress. She begins to cry.

>Somewhere, a box of donuts lands on a table in front of a man in a red coat. He smiles grimly.

>Somewhere, a boy finds a broken mirror on the ground. Some sense of the reason must reach him - as he buries the shards and places a flower atop the grave.

>Somewhere, the cry of a bird is heard. An old machine, somewhat like a cellular phone, hands from a cord around its neck.

>Somewhere, a creature coos sadly. The lab-coated men examining it cannot discern why.

>Magic 101 (Free, Sorcerer)
Well, if I'm going to be breaking anything more complex than a steam train or a semiautomatic rifle just by being too close, I may as well get the benefit from doing so, eh?
>The Sight (Free, Sorcerer
I already commit literally everything I see to memory. Eidetic memory is not always a blessing. But it makes the Sight less a curse.
>Clued In (Free, Sorcerer)
Fortunately, this comes with the knowledge of (some) things that I need to know as a sorcerer.
>Power to Burn (1450, Sorcerer)
Knowing is half the battle. 25% of the remaining half is having the ability to fight, and to fight harder.
>Refined Spellcasting (1300, Sorcerer)
The other 25% is being able to fight smarter.
>Soul Source (1000, Sorcerer)
The other other 25% is to go EVEN FURTHER BEYOND.
>Job Offer (400)
The OTHER other other 25% is to find someone to hang out with. Speaking of which: "Hey Loki, how's it going? Boy, have I got a deal for you..."
>Stars and Stones (0)
"How would you like to not have to worry about your power being reduced by lack of worshippers? I mean... you won't get stronger without worshippers, but at least you won't get weaker, yeah?"
>Best Ale in Chicago (Free, Sorcerer)
"Now about about we sit back, have a couple of beers, and then I go stir up some shit? There's this floating city that just appeared over Lake Michigan..."

As far as Job Offer in future jumps... I definitely plan on using it to grant others positions as my Emissaries. For now, well, I’m an agent of chaos. Nothing new about that!
>>
>>47869320
What a strange build.
>>
>>47869331
Speaking of cities that appear over Lake Michigan: yes, Carcosa is now floating over Lake Michigan. The joys of using magic to cloak the city means that no one who doesn't have their own supernatural abilities can detect it, because during Sword and Sorcery I realized what a horrible idea it is to have everyone see it from the start. And I don't even visit it very often, I'm just... a temporary ambassador. It's basically following me around and doing nothing except being neat, but there is a LOT of fast talking that has to be done out of the gate to keep people from magically nuking it.

Speaking of temporary ambassadors, Loki may be much diminished in power, but there are enough crazies who worship that particular pantheon to give him SOME measure of power, even if it is a shadow of what it once was. Having someone who can break the rules like that? Well, as long as he doesn't stir up too much, it won't be too bad. Considering his behavior, he was probably part of the Winter court to begin with, so it's no surprise that favors are owed there. Hopefully breaking that rule for him will be the first of the three favors, since going that far is too much to expect from a mere servant.

Honestly... a lot of what I'll be doing is subtle nudges. Saving a couple lives here, making a few werewolves have optional transformations there, and... well. Testing my revolver on Outsiders. Revolvers worked just fine in the Civil War, after all. Even if I have to live in a cabin in the woods otherwise, to avoid breaking things all around me.

And god help anyone who points any weapon more advanced than a revolver or a lever action rifle at me. The Hex has its upsides. And man, I am DEFINITELY keeping this for later use. Can you imagine using the Hex in any high tech setting? In fact, I'm going to save this for Star Wars, I want to see the look on the face of a sith when their lightsaber fizzles and dies.

Actually, wouldn't Mage magic be much more reliable if everyone was convinced it was real?
Most of the supers that feed or use humanity like vamps and Leviathans would be pissed. I dunno about the werewolves.
But I have a suspicion that many of the entrenched factions - especially the vampires and mages - would have contingency plans for "what happens if we end up on live TV?". Changelings would probably be the least affected since they are naturally hidden from mortals.
>>
>>47870279
It would help the mages but the other races would probably throw a shitfit. Vampires definately have a vested interest in staying secret and they have a lot of ways to cover up a breach of the masquerade. Not to mention they have no qualms about killing a large group of people and labeling it a terrorist attack.

While communicating with spirits is connected to necromancy in some settings the word is far more often connected with the classic zombie-raising, death-spell-flinging BBEG.

You're generally far better off calling yourself a medium or something like that instead of a necromancer if that's what you're doing with it.

How many levels could one get in a DND setting in the 10 years of that jump?
Not in a power gaming/munchkin way, but on an average adventuring level.

And would 'Experience like Water' from forgotten realms affect outside Jump crafting abilities as well?
>>
>>47871534
10 years easily epic levels most campaigns are months
>>
>>47871545
Most campaigns don't ever come close to epic levels, especially starting from level 1.
>>
>>47871534
Depends on how you interpret it. Following the games? 13 encounters is a level, so 260 encounters will get you to epic. Following novels and other media? People will spend their entire lives exploring and adventuring and never hit 20. I tend to go with that approach, if only because it lets me preserve some growth for later in Jumpchain. I like the idea of hitting epic some time in my hundredth Jump rather than beating up Gods for 100 CP.
>>
>>47871534
I don't think there's really an average with how everyone's games vary, I guess level 10 is as close as you'd ever get to a mid point between starting levels and epic stuff?
>>
File: image.jpg (160KB, 608x1315px) Image search: [Google]
image.jpg
160KB, 608x1315px
>>47871545
Most campaigns end about level 5.

If anything one should look at the novels. Drizzt spent like decades adventuring, and is most Mary Sue. He's still not epic level.
>>
>>47871534
Iirc you need, on average, 4-5 level appropriate encounters to level up.

So if you spend your 10 years adventuring and fighting things that are a challenge to you you could level up pretty fast, at least at first.
The higher you get the harder it becomes to find appropriate challenges after all.

Anything up to level 20-25 is probably fair game.
Above that you'll probably have to travel to other planes to find a good challenge, though there are NPCs as high as level 44 on the material plane.

Or you could cheat. Go to Windsong Tower, steal the Nether Scrolls located there and read them. Since according to the rules reading one gives 1 level in an arcane casting class and takes 1 month you could be level 50 or higher after a little more than 4 years.

>>47871572
Yeah, but in-jump you won't have your table breaking up, your DM quitting or your friends deciding to retire their characters and start a new campaign.
>>
>>47871623
In jump you are actually in setting too not physically playing the game, where not every 5th guy is an epic level adventurer. It makes zero sense that the 'average' adventurer gets even close to epic levels.
>>
>>47871631
FR is notorious for being full of high level characters. You just have to know where to look.

And with Experience like a River you're not limited to the same slow rate as "normal" adventurers.
You grow significantly faster, so you should reach at least level 20 if you put in the effort over your 10 years there.
>>
>>47871616
>Most campaigns end about level 5.
What, really? Most campaigns I did ended in the 10 to 15 range.
>>
>>47871640
FR doesn't have entire towns of epic level characters either.

Experience like a River doesn't given you many times more experience. At most it would be twice as much, which is what the perk originally read as, not so much more that an average adventurer would become epic level within ten years.
>>
>>47871631
Yeah, you get a lot of encounters that are definitely not level appropriate. The stronger you get, the more often your encounters will be with people too weak to help you get stronger.
>>
>>47871657
By your in-jump perks alone you're very much above average. Add in possible knowledge of the setting and you're certainly in a position to advance quickly.

And i didn't say there are towns full of epic level characters, but there are plenty of high level enemies if you go looking for them.
Hell, you could spend your starting CP on getting a decent starting level (or train to get there) and then spend the rest of your stay exploring Undermountain.
Finding hard fights isn't the problem, surviving them is. There is no DM making sure the encounters are level appropriate.

Most people don't because it's fucking dangerous to go around looking for fights in places like Myth Drannor or Hellgate Keep.
Even adventurers usually have a sense of self-preservation.
>>
>>47870862
Yeah, yeah it is.
Though don't forget that you don't HAVE to restrict yourself to just your companions to make an effective force.
>>
>>47871723
>Most people don't
Indeed, so when someone asks what's a reasonable level for the /average/ adventure, why the hell are you talking as if they're going to end up in the mid or higher epic levels?
>>
>>47871723
Actually, finding hard fights encounters the same issue as surviving them that you bring up. You don't have the DM guiding you to a sliding scale of opposition where you always find appropriate foes. You could go 5 years without finding something more then CR 10 or whatever, or even be unlucky enough to find things above but have them be CR 18-20 stuff that'd slaughter you.
>>
>>47871534
From playing all the way from 1 to 20, it took my group a few years in-game from memory. Less than five years anyway. We were 'somewhat' munchkin-y, but not incredibly so. So take that as you will.
>>
Outside of D&D, what's. Agood place to find dragons to use the Lacrima perk to make Dragon Slayers?
>>
>>47871746
Because we're talking about a jumper? The average jumper isn't going to spend 10 years dicking around in the townguard of some sleepy little hamlet.
He's not going to sit on his ass for most of the time until the call to adventure comes to find him.

And the high teens are pretty reasonable even for professional adventurers without your benefits. It's FR. The big guns are in their mid-30 or 40s, level wise.

>>47871765
As i said, knowledge of the setting helps.
There's a ton of FR books available with highly detailed knowledge of the setting, and some jumpers are or have been players of the game.

If you know where to look you can find roughly appropriate enemies to fight, and your out-of-jump powers provide you with a bit of insurance that "normal" adventurers just don't have, which means you can survive where they die.
>>
>>47871410
>>47871411
Speaking of, got some questions for you Amalur.

First off, if I take 1000 Years In The Dark, I still have all my perks and powers while in the Helvault, right? It's only when I'm released that I'm depowered along with Nahiri, correct?

Second, I could learn Lithomancy from her, right? Does she know summoning, or will I need to help Garruk to teach me that?

Third, are there any pyromancers or such on the plane to teach me some of that sweet burn?

Fourth, would Sangromancy get me base to learn Sorin's rotspeak from, or will I need to rip that from his mind?

Fifth, could I summon vampires I just created by biting them too, using The Beginning Of A Bloodline, or is it /only/ for the First Gen vampires made by that.

Sixth, to tie into that last one. Suppose one of my new vampires turns someone, could I summon a copy of that Second Gen vampire?
>>
>>47871799
Eragon. Fuck the plot.
>>
>>47871818
>Lithomancy
What's that?
>>
>>47871772
Here's the thing. You had a DM guide you what to do next. You were working on a meta level in a sense. As a jumper you wouldn't have a DM guide you through carefully crafted encounters that are designed to level you up.

Your adventures as a jumper is totally freeform, but you're going have to search for that Troll living in a swamp to give you any XP. You're gonna have to track down dragons to "farm". All this takes time, and even with Jumpers other abilities it's gonna be easier sure. However it's still time consuming, and if you took more than one class, then you're choosing which class to level up next. So you could possibly be epic level, but class wise you're like above average because you decide you were gonna be 1/11th of every class at level 1.
>>
>>47871850
Stoneshaping. It can also be used to channel the energy/mana on a plane with specific stone formations, which is how Nahiri corrupted the Angels. Since angels are composed of pure mana, they were rather... heavily affected.

It's also the basis for the Hedron system used to trap the Eldrazi, I think.
>>
Im tempted to make a table with level ranges and roll to see if I get and easy/reasonable/Ohfuckno encounters with corresponding experience gains if I beat them.
Maybe a 1d20 roll or something.

Thanks for all the advice everyone. Hopefully I don't die horribly.
>>
>>47871737
It isn't even the effective fighting force that I'm worried about(especially since beacon of hope means with every victory I should swell my ranks with freshly befriended abyss girls) It's picking who gets to go with me. (even if copying the ring with minecraft cheat could theoretically get me 121 extra companions. 120 copies +1 original. But I don't want to cheat that ridiculously plus that would be a ridiculous use of resources)
>>
>>47871820
so, would that make word dragon slayer lacrima? Cause that would be amusing, eat books and other writing to power up.
>>
>>47871857
you can also go to the abyss and fight, fight, fight an infinite horde.(not what I'd call a safe idea though)
>>
>>47871857
There are perks for that, you know.
My Quest Senses are Tingling (SAO), Random Encounters (OotS), Treasure Sense (Slayers), ...
There's even one that guarantees that you're constantly entangled in quests, but i forgot which jump that was in.

If you stumble around without any knowledge of the setting and any out-of-jump perks you can still reach a respectable level, though i'll admit probably not epic.
But as long as you actually do something in those 10 years to advance i can't see how you won't reach at least the middle teens.

When I went through FR, I honestly assumed the Jump Coordinator was acting as my DM. Seemed like an appropriate idea. She still tossed horribly powerful monsters in my path from time to time, just for giggles. I could see that being a lot more entertaining for her than just watching my bumbling adventures.
>>
>>47872011
I got (un)lucky and rolled there, kinda glad I was already 250 jumps in and had taken Prismatic dragon as my race in FR

>>47872011
I'm an idiot, forgot abyss was a drawback not a roll thing.
>>

still, it isn't a safe place seeing as it is infinite and the stronger you are the more likely that stronger and stronger entities will notice you. Including chaotic evil gods and worse.
>>
>>47872225
On the other hand, you could grab some energy drain protection, and pick up Succubi.
>>
Would levelling DnD classes work off your DnD level or the equivalent level of your jumper powers? It seems a bit silly that you might need to fight dragons in order to get to level 2.
>>
>>47866539
So... You wouldn't happen to know the legal penalty for necrophilia in Cyrodiil, would you?
Just, you know, hypothetically...
>>
>>47872333
Using the leveling system in-universe is always silly.

I could buy Fighters getting better at fighting with lots of battles, or Sorcerers with lotsa practise with their powers. But stuff like Wizards need research and learning, fights seem less important and then only for the practise with your spells.

Well, experience points in D&D are an abstraction of how much your character learns from a given fight.

So hypothetically, if you've been to Lord of The Rings and fought tons of orcs, chances are fighting orcs in FR is not going to teach you much (or maybe anything at all) you don't already know. So I suppose they run off your jumper's estimated level and not the Level 1 of wizard you bought.

But then, D&D never really allowed you to learn much by study/practice, which is a bit rubbish if you're treating the setting like a 'real' universe you've been transported to, and you can always argue that new powers, new enemies and a new setting means you can always learn something new. So just make it a good story.
>>
>>47871818
yes you have your powers in vault i won't leave heroic jumpers sealed with an army of demons and no powers.

nahiri can teach you and there will be a zendikar perk called stoneforger for it if you don't get her

pyromanvy is used pretty heavily by devils you could likely recreate some from them.

yes

you can summon the created bloodline all of it though restrictions apply and remember the limits on how much mana you can use at a time.

>>47871915
yes hedrons are based in stoneshaping and the hellvault is sorins doinf something similar with silver.
>>
>>47872488
Awesome! Thanks for the answers. Guess I have another reason to waifu Nahiri, and a millenia to prepare for that.

I assume binding the demons will still release them when I lose everything? But after the jump summoning would be cool...

Also, I'm getting a few a couple companions new Angel forms... what happens to them while I'm sealed? Are they there with me?

>First half of the decade

A queen, a foreign priestess and madwoman enter a bar. The queen tells the bartender she’ll handle the bill, because she’s helping an old friend drown his sorrows. The madwoman orders several random liquids and starts mixing them, telling everyone she just had a brilliant idea. The priestess dozes quietly for most of the night, but suddenly tells everyone divine justice has been visited on the Cecani siblings. Somewhere else, a few angel flights notice they have more members than they remember and write it off as more neowalker shenanigans.

The Jumper walks into the bar after an indeterminable amount of alcohol, and sustains a mild concussion.

>Second half of the decade

Hey there, it’s just me. I know, I know-friends in high places and all. I wasn’t always a librarian, but here and now-it’s all I want to be.

I’m sorry my friends had to restrain you. But you have to understand-you’re about to make the same mistakes I once did.

I know exactly how you feel right now. The disgust at all life. The need to cleanse the world of it. The seething hate that drives you onwards, because everyone else is wrong and you have to set things right before it’s too late. The determination to alienate your allies, not knowing you’re about to tear down everything you ever valued until it’s too late.

Look around you. Vampires are rejoicing over their prey being panicked and disorientated. The wolves you redeemed are going feral.

Here’s the difference: Unlike you, I never had a purpose. In the end, it was my own choices that reduced me to a monster driven by hate. I embraced stagnation to give form to my blind fear and spite, and it biased me to any solution but my own.

You, though.

You were made to protect the innocent.

What, exactly, are you protecting right now? Was it right of you to listen to a planeswalker’s spiteful hex over your own directive?

That’s right.

Don’t get me wrong-I don’t have all the answers. I knew what I did would cost, but not that even that sacrifice was futile in the grand scheme of things until it was too late. All I can tell you is that a pipe dream isn’t worth betting your hopes on. I keep going, even now, because otherwise everything I’ve done will have been for naught. I just…need some time to think about what I should do next. My true form is far greater than this mortal shell, but my will and form are bound together so. I’ve allowed a greater power to bind me so I can have some time to think without literally falling apart. I will not make an error of judgement before moving ahead with what I originally intended for this realm of existence.

Now. Why don’t I tell you some stories? I know a story about a man who did all in his power to rescue a young girl from her nightmare of an endless city and a fallen goddess of flesh. I also know a story about an errant prince who brought peace between his estranged family. And a story about a young princess whose imaginary friend safeguarded her from all her enemies, raising her up to be the most glorious ruler in this or any world. I’m sure one of these has a cure for your corruption.

But, as they say. The past is another country, and we must look to the future if we are to have one.

government every first hour, another to their manufacturing facilities to destroy them
every other hour and hold prisoner rescues every third hour,Repeat with Soviets every fourth through six hour, meanwhile start building some undersea colonies with the arc and offer extraction to them for anyone who doesn't like these conditions, where they will be free to live a life of plenty by my minimalist laws, of course since that's a reputation economy with guaranteed basic standards of living and socialized medicine the allies have some issues with it but since I'm the enemy of their enemy it's sort of a Stalin versus Hitler situation.

>>47873173
Depends on the setting. In D&D just the act of raising undead is actively evil, for example. That's a fact of the setting, not a matter of opinion.

And people don't really care about the etymology.
When they hear "necromancer" they think "dude that raises zombies and uses death curses", not "spirit talker".
Not to mention that in a fantasy universe where zombie raising is a thing that happens the etymology might be entirely different.
>>
>>47873282
D&D is absolutely retarded with its absolutes, let's be real.

>>
>>47873527
Well in game ruling is this.

Any nonzero amount of combat damage assigned to a creature by a source with deathtouch is considered to be lethal damage, regardless of that creature’s toughness.

Its a very nasty ability.

>>
>>47873634
Any damage gittrog or something with deathtouch does to you is potentially fatal. Thats why he is so scary. Any damage he does to you can potentially kill you. scroll bound in iron is the story of serras (an oldwalker that basically made her own heaven) realm being destroyed. story magic isn't massively direct in its interpretation the myr creation myth can restore clarity of thought for instance. the iron scroll is the story of an archangel becoming paranoid turning on the people she led and the the world being collapsed to power an interplanar ship. so you could do things such as power a ship on the destruction of massive areas, drive good leaders against their people or destroy angelic peoples using that scroll.

stories must have actually happened or have significant cultural significance and meanings tend to take precedence in how they work. parts of the bible would work but don't expect to just call down plagues using moses since the message of not opposing god is more important there.

you could do stuff like sodom and gomorra and set a penalty of turning to salt for disobeying though stuff like that.

>>47873586
>>47873654

Wait so-stuff like the Mahabharata would count? Because that features a guy with a universe-busting bow, and a guy who can tank it. What about Sanskrit epics like the Ramayana, which features the literally unstoppable Brahmastra?

And what about worlds where there are sentient narratives, like Changeling? Or worlds where prophecy is a Big Deal, like the Wheel of Time; what happens if you develop magic off the Dragon Reborn's prophecy?

As for the Bible I...was thinking more about Revelations.

not familiar with the perk details please

Wait, what exactly are the power limits on this story stuff. It's sounding more and more like bullshit libriomancy stuff here
>>
>>47874168
the stories are your casting method not the result. you still need to power them and using that much mana without serious training will make you explode.

>Warp Paintings (600 points): Painting a picture will create a pocket dimension that will include
whatever is depicted in the painting. By leaping through the painting, you will enter or exit the pocket
dimension. There are, however, some limitations to this ability. For instance, the pocket dimension is,
at maximum, 5 km2.. You will also have no control over what fills the dimension outside of the
painting. You can use the dimension to store items, but you will have to make sure that no pests like
Goombas spawn and damage your stuff. No living beings that are created in the warp dimension can
leave. The perk does not come with actual painting skills. Get practicing!

Also i repeat the magic focus's on meanings not feats. a fable about truth being a better deception than a lie will let you disguise your self as long as you tell no falshoods but not summon the terrifying oni featured in the myth.

You get stuff based on the stories. It's not a Libriomancer 1 to 1 thing where you get whatever is described in it.

And you'll need to pay the mana costs for it too. It's just a magic system that uses stories to fluff the effects.

What are some good perks to get famous quickly?

Another question, what happens to companions if I take 1000 Years In The Dark, are they sealed and then depowered too?

Rolled 6 (1d10)

Taiho is my flagship. In a militaristic setting, the bar is doing steady business. My girls and I are doing our best to convert as many abyssal ship girls to our side as possible while trying to save as many of the girls of our fleet as possible. It's difficult and dangerous but we are doing our best. To make my 6 main ship girls happier, I make 6 copies of the ring(6 months prep time, they better be happy) and give them some romance. I keep the original in reserve incase I need more copies later(not to mention copying it whenever there isn't a more pressing need for my minecraft cheatology). I also give my girls the standard biological upgrades while working to figure out how to duplicate my nanite cyberization from Iji. Over the course of the adventure my 6 became full modernized and upgraded. It was 10 tough years, but we made it through to the end where I was challenged by another admiral. Though it was tough victory was mine and I bid him adieu as my girls and I headed on to the next world(Neither I nor he would be willing to part him from his fleet, so there was no way he was going to join my adventure).

Copying the the ring lets you take more than your initial six ship girls?
>>
>>47874671
oh gods, who did I offend to be sent to girlchan? I'll need a new 6 and a few drinks.

Me.

the ring lets you marry someone and companion them. Using it on an already companioned character just marrys them(which does buff ship girls)
