I happen to be a winged naga. A very unusual creature born from an ill-fated love between the Goddess Ariella and a great serpent. I fly through the clouds searching for my place in the world and trying to do good things for people. I'm usually very peaceful, but can fight if I have too. Even though I seem immortal, I actually have a weak spot my belly-button.

>Incredible Vegetable
I travel to the plant and drive away the bugs with rain and lightning. Then I study it to try and unlock it's secrets. I use my knowledge of potions and what I learn from the plant to make a potion from one of the leaves that gives me Healer magic. I take the seeds to some monks who I think will bring the plants back and not abuse them.
>Whales in the Sky
I spend time with the whales to find out and fight out what's happening. Hopefully I can use what they tell me to make a potion to cure their sickness.
>The Kyphian Mines
To cure the whales, I need a artifact from the Kyphians. When I arrive at the old Kyphian mines, I here about the missing pioneers. I search for them as I look for the artifact to cure the whales.
>A Divine Affair
The Goddess Lenya notices my beauty and sees me trying to use my gifts for good. She tries very hard to convince me to live with her in her realm of flowers and cloud castles. But because of my wandering ways, I can't settle down for good. Not even with a Goddess. We part ways amicably and she teaches me more about healing magic before I go. This is where I get the Medicus ability.
>The Fire Witch
I follow the Witch from high above in the clouds. I discover her coven having a meeting that seems pretty sketchy. The next time she's alone I ambush her and wrap her up in my coils so I can question her about what's going on. I report the questionable coven to local paladin order, but conveniently forget to mention the Fire Witch and help get her back to her old job with Prince Kasper. She teaches me fire magic as thanks, since she didn't get along with the dark witches anyway. That's how I learn Fire Mage magic.

>Devil Without a Cause
I fly up to the Elemental and explain to him that he's causing problems for other people by staying here, and that there's other Elementals for him to talk to in other parts of the universe. I help get him to trust me by doing some tricks with the fire magic I already know. After convincing him to move on, he teaches me more fire magic to thank me for telling him where the other elementals are. That's how I advance to Lord of the Inferno.
>Always Read the Manual
To convince the Fire Elemental to move on, I have to learn about the plane where the great elementals live. Turns out there's a King who's looking for a book about ruling. It's lost a great ancient library. I figure I can find something about elementals while searching for his book. This helps with the other quest.
>Boss Monster
I use my powers to fight the beastman horde and their evil leader. People who I've helped join in the fight against evil. Ariella and Lenya give me a boon to help survive the fight. This is where I get Serpent's Reflexes. My storm powers increase to Stormcaller from me using them so much for this.
>A Peaceful Village
>Chesswolf
>Solve My Riddle
These 3 are a bit trickier. I do my best to solve each one as best I can, but as I'm not a great solver, I also seek the help of other heroes to help with these.
>Door to Door
Being a great heroine, I'm chosen as a ambassador to the new world. I travel through the door and have new adventure and meet new people. I return now and then to report what I find to the old world.

>implying daddy will marry me to a St Flares pauper
>implying I'm not going to marry the Duke
>implying he's not handsome, smart and rich, and treats me like the princess I am

I'm sorry, Billy Bob, but unhappy marriages are a very peasant thing to do. Don't you know a rich marriage is a happy marriage?

Me and the Duke bonded over how he had stolen the glory for an achievement of a St Flares graduate actually. The sucker is still in his dungeon. Can you believe how resourceful the Duke is?

I don't see why you posted a pic of a woman, talked about having a dick, and then got offended that people weren't 100% sure what your gender's supposed to be.

Observation: Linestier students spend so much of their precious time attending parties, balls, gatherings, festivals and other such recreational and social frivolities and so little of it actually studying or training to be proper heroes.

Suggestion: Perhaps a Linestier student should devote the remaining time left on her busy schedule working and learning, instead of gloating and mocking the other academy students?

Son of a moderately well off merchant, I got a scholarship to Lunestier due to me natural talent with magic.

>Arcane Magic 3
>Illusions 3
>Refinement 3
>Diplomacy 1
Im the best at what I do: graceful, refined Arcane Magic.

>Malyvin
>Luvyna
>Valerie Bluewood
These three are from my home town, so they're me "default" friend circle. They stick with me through thick and thin.
>Tennie Northbreed
>Suzette Highking
She'd be more of the "popular rival" type. I can picture going over each others Arcane and Refinement homework and pointing out flaws, and as a result we both do even better. She gets the recognition, though, because she's royalty.

Year 1:
>Escort
I'm going to try to bind the ghost into a mannequin or something so that her existence persists. Fuck oblivion.
Year 2:
>Basilisk Den
I'll spend this fall and the next two falls trying to work to undermine the Basilisk Den.
>Blind Date (1/1, Sorte)
They set me up with Sorte to try to get me out of the dorm. It worked, it was a nice evening and I guess I could go to parties and such.
Year 3:
>Basilisk Den, Research Proposal
The next three winters will be used to refine and present a method of using subtle illusions to enhance the body's shock from arcane magic damage, allowing a clean kill with relatively little damage.
Year 4:
>Basilisk Den, Research Proposal
Year 5:
>Research Proposal

I'm not sure about proper military training or whatever, but Odesium is definitely the most dangerous. I mean, the other schools produce mighty heroes and whatnot, but Odesium produces nukes and nuke equivalents, magic powered robots of every shape and size, and manufacturable air superiority.

On top of that, Lunestier trains the fucking ROYALS. The rulers of the realm. Do you seriously think one spoiled brat is going to be able to bribe a school that trains and is funded by the high king and likely all his dukes and counts as well? One noble bitch isn't shit.

I was a orphan adopted by Lunestier groundskeeper. A teacher saw that I have strong innate magical skills. So I got accepted in the prestigious magical school.

Hopefully with my summoning magic and tactics I can basically become a general of my own magic army and I can use arcane magic to protect myself and support my army. After gradation my friends and I can go on quests to find treasures and lost knowledge and help protect peasants and kingdoms...for a price.

does the mask change you into whatever you want or does it turn into something specific? Is it breakable? Does it affect your emotions and make them fragile?

Does the skull turn you into a zombie or lich? Does it give immortality? Does it make you look horrific but give you peace of mind?

How powerful is the magic? How dangerous is it? What can it really do? Can it be over used? Under used?

Let your mind decide the limitations of the cyoa and if you don't like it, look at it again and like looking at stained glass, perhaps you'll see something different.

The primary and defining activity of a bank is accepting money in exchange for credit and vice versa, not lending on the part of the bank per se.

So anon is right that you wouldn't have banks strictly the way they are now in a world without money, but a bank of sorts might still exist since the potential need for an institution that handles services like accepting deposits, extending credit, and allowing withdrawals will always exist; this will encourage the development of bank-like institutions.

Banks are good though. Every penny you have on the bank creates an extra functional penny in your countries spending power.
Storing money in a bank gives it the opportunity to put that capital to productive use via investments and create more value for everybody.

In defense of Uzuza, magic is ridiculously powerful and arbitrary wielded by nobles and peasants alike to the extent that a simple farmer girl might develop the ability to summon powerful creatures from the Void (=Nashwa).

Magic should be heavily regulated which it clearly isn't, so I'll settle for an order of mage killers.

Creator of a seven sins/virtues cyoa here (a new one, not the others seen on the board except as a WIP.) Secondly, I have other projects planned for the future, including a revision of my energy cyoa, the Four Horsemen cyoa, and of course the HUD cyoa (as well as a colors cyoa and several others.) Which one would you prefer me to do next?

Do you think only heroes are mages?
Where do you get the "culture of hatred" thing from? The only time the word 'hate' is used to describe anything from Uzuza it's Kara'Tee who is mentioned not to hate mages.

Distrusting mages and considering magic to be dangerous doesn't mean Uzuza is at war with all who cast spells.
>>
>>47682132
Don't be ridiculous. Nashwa was one cliched attack by bandits away from opening a rift to the Void and causing a great threat. Somehow no one in her community thought it prudent to have her be put under tutelage of a mage or thought how to control her powers.

Different from the human way of looking at ownership, sure, but still capitalist. Unless by capitalist you mean "our specific implementation of capitalism", in which case, sure they're not us.

The key concepts of capitalism are things like private ownership of the means of production, free markets, and profit. I would argue their methods disqualify them from being bank financiers the way we are used to, but not from being capitalists.

No, the person who found her was a professor who recognized how exceptional her powers were which in turn implies that a farmer girl with summoning powers was not obviously exceptional to the people in her community. Hence the masses are completely uneducated about magic and couldn't recognize a village witch from a potential great threat.

I'm not saying Uzuza is right but this whogivesashit attitude towards magic in the common people is insane.
>>
>>47682225
I'm telling you that they hate and despise magic, and then go on to train people to kill mages, so that breeds a culture that looks for an excuse to kill mages. I imagine the slightest crime would be enough of an excuse for any Uzuza, and nothing at all for plenty.

Solution: Take the weak and frail flesh component out of the equation. How can you feel pain if there is no pain receptors to receive it? Beastmen are the obvious first choice; they might be able to win the first few battles through decption, but technological superiority (and numerical advantage, and coordination, and...) means that if war breaks out, domesticated furries will come to markets before 2050.

It's tempting to take Wisps (spreading goodness and hope at the cost of... improved building regulations) to get Sword Magic, but as it stands, it'd eliminate a lot of the technological superiority (and somehow increase other wars' casualties despite this) for ill-defined "special powers"

That is a separate thing. Goblin vaults just exist to safely house their contents, which often have value beyond mere currency. They are more akin to safety deposit boxes than to bank accounts.

Are Swiss banks not capitalist simply because they don't rummage through your safety deposit boxes, pawn the contents, and invest the proceeds, returning you an equivalent value brooch or string of pearls if you make a withdrawal?
>>
>>47682811
Summoning magic for one allows you to bind yourself to a permanent summon. There's no reason a master Summoner couldn't have permanent dragon summon. Necromancy can be used to raise and control skeletal dragons. Illusions to create fake dragons. Mage armour to create magitech dragons. Maybe even Arcane magic can be used to create dragons of pure mana that may or may not last.

As a blood mage your own body has a finite supply of blood, though. If you want to surpass this natural limit (and the quest for ever greater power is kind of a trope with mages, you have to admit) you have to turn to the blood of others... which, you know, often involves spilling their blood. Which icks people out.

Fire mages aren't a very good analogue since they don't have to steal fire to become more powerful, they already create all the fire the want as part of their power.

Figured it out so here we go. Seriously though, I was gonna say a lot of lewd shit but you make great cyoa's and we all really enjoy them. You're cyoa's inspire a little but mostly their just fun to imagine. Some sexually, most not. also, the next few lines are gonna be smut over you.

One day while working on your CYOA, your computer explodes into dust. Logically, you freak out. Suddenly, however, you feel light headed, weak, small, tired and pass out. When you wake up, you feel wet all over, like being in a pool except, the pool moves with you. It's not bad but it is weird. You look to realize you've been turned into your avatar, the purple slime and on top of that, are currently in a weird cell with a masked figure outside your room. You ask "Whats going on?" As anyone abducted would ask. He merely replies "You made it big, you became your creation. I believe you call it a waifu. An "anon" will be here to pick you up." You begin to panic, this is weird, abnormal, surreal. This doesn't happen in real life. Yet its too in your face, too THERE, to be a dream. Fear, anxiety and then you hear foot steps. Slow, but close. You see the anon. It's a normal looking, brown haired, fit, tall man with a healthy smile. Like a movie star but less attractive. "Hello beri, I'm, well, anon, as in, anonymous, unknown. My "avatar" is mystery apparently. I can't tell you much about me, only my actions. I've played this cyoa, this real life one and made some decisions. You're going to have sex, a lot, marry, have kids and then one day, you'll wake up and to you it will be a dream. So relax and smile, I'd call this rape but I've been told that until you "wake up" you'll want this, even if its reluctantly." With that said the man, the anon, walked into your cell which slowly transformed into a bedroom, frilly, purple, comfy king sized bed. You were laying on it and you couldn't help but stay calm. Do you want me to continue beri?

Inquiry: How can a mere man compare himself to a god?
>>
>>47683360
Fake CG anime looks such shit.
>>
>>47683387
I couldn't but in your mindbroken state you would perceive me as your god, a loving god with a clear set of rules and expectations.
>>
>>47683387
All men are great, in their dreams.
>>
>>47682820
>Monster Taming.
They're not your run-of-the-mill 'monsters.' They're a sentient species. You'd need to torture them horribly to get them to submit the way you want them to. No other dragon is going to allow that shit to pass either.
>>
>>47683387
I am a god, so hurry up with my damn massage. Hurry up with my damn menage. Get the Porsche out the damn garage.
>>
>>47683416
Says right there, they can tame dragons. Everything you're saying is fanwank.
>>
>>47683430
sure you can do it, but that dont mean it's easy or somethin'
>>
>>47683367
Eh, it's about as well written as some CYOAs. It just matters here because the context is sexual, and more "real". Like I read that and all I can think is "I wouldn't want to have sex with that person". No offense, creepanon. You keep practicing until you're really good, ok? Just find a less in the way place to do it until you think you've improved significantly.
>>
>>47683387
Amused condescension: What man can call himself such while subordinating himself to some up-jumped elemental?
>>
>>47683404
Remark: You cannot break my mind anon, the Ommnissiah already broke it and claimed me with his divine instrument.

From the weakness of the mind, circuity preserve us.
From the lies of tyrants, divine algorythm guide us
From the rage of demons, blessed iron protect us
From the temptation of flesh, silica cleanse us
From the curse of undeath, artifice purge us
From the coil of mortality, Father of Machines set us free
>>
>>47683447
You're a hero. You're not supposed to go the easy and weak way.
>>
>>47683447
Yeah, but usually if a CYOA option involves "horrible torture" or an unusually high degree, that is worth mentioning explicitly.
>>
>>47683474
Ugh, I can't believe I wasted my time on used goods. I thought you were a virgin amputee waifu.
>>
>>47683276
That was the hardest part of Royal Revival.

>>47683281
That's sweet, but waking up one day to find that a happily married life, complete with children, was a dream is a bit depressing.
>>
>>47683476
im not going the easy or weak way, im going a way thats possible, you can go get yourself killed or waste your time trying to control a dragon that cool man good hustle

but ima just be over here riding my wyvern adventuring and fighting.

yeah, I'm USUALLY good at this but after OC's, 27 jpurs, 12 hours of work, i'm sorta, dried up. Thank god this is being archived and beri "might" not read it because i knew when i was writing it "this isn't going to come out as "sweet" in my head on paper" but I'm sure that it came out as pure creeptastic at this point. mistakes were made. I thoroughly apologize.

I will not being attempting smut again unless its in a cyoa context.

>>47683501
well, i was gonna write more about how you get to keep the children and got powers and stuff like that but A. ran out of room and B. started feeling more creepy than sweet.

I hope beri at least sees my apology.

Stronk, tough, fast, and full of healing magic. Not too too much smort in my companions this time around, but the list seems geared away from teachers and more towards warriors, so I decided to go with a pair that is a bit more... over the top.
