Poor fuckers

What do they even get? Mentor of the Meek, Mind's Eye and Staff of Nin?

My favorite parts about white decks is the Scroll Rack Land Tax engine to dig through my deck, but there really isn't a good reason to play mono white unless you REALLY want to run the chose a colour mana doublers.

Armistice isn't as bad as people think. Inheritance is good too.

Skeleton Key is useful in specific places (where you want the Skulk, like Vela ninja tribal, which has both magpies and wants to be unblocked all the time). Mask is actually really pretty decent in anything with a decent amount of equipment. Mono-white really likes Mask of Memory, since it provides draw, filtering, and white is a great equipment color.

Guys, I need some advice on my Sidisi deck.

I like the theme of tutoring on what play style I would be doing on the game, from either super casual - Tutoring Erebos then go from there or tutoring Doomsday for a janky wincon.

The part where I need the advice is, what card from my list to make my Doomsday wincon more viable or even competitive?

Why aren't you running mike's trike? Doomsday mike's trike and you win the game if your opponent can't answer it.
>>
>>47585850
While I ironically added Exquisite Blood + Sanguine Bond on this deck as one of the possible Doomsday combination, I initially ran this deck as the meme MikeTrike EDH deck at first.

I was pulling wins out of nowhere to the point that even I thought it was too cheap and removed Triskelion out completely and changed the deck itself.

That is my custom playmat, because I have no talent. I tried just inputting the basic Feldon image, but it's dimensions are wrong for playmats, and it was cutting off sweet parts of the art. So I added black boxes and some text, which involved a 2 hour odyssey because I am nearly computer illiterate and have essentially no experience with digital art and editing. I started on paint, and when that failed I downloaded gimp and flailed at it for over an hour until I got that.

It actually looks really nice on the playmat, though. The simple black bars work nicely on th mat because the scene is already framed by some darker areas.

For further demonstration of my child-like ability to use art software, here is the image of my meta.

>>
>>47590472
Sorry for the slightly off topic question, my group has been convinced that sanguine/exquisite combo results in a tie , not a win, because something about the combo never coming to a stop? Or it going on forever because you can't choose to stop it? Is there any truth to that ?
>>
>>47589974
But you don't cast the copies, isn't splice a cast trigger?
>>
>>47591167
It can stop, It has to target an opponent and therefore if there are no opponents the ability becomes countered on the stack. A player losing the game does not use the stack obviously and is instantaneous as they reach 0 life.
>>
>>47591167

104.3b If a player’s life total is 0 or less, he or she loses the game the next time a player would receive priority. (This is a state-based action. See rule 704.)

As soon as the player can react to a sanguine/blood proc (ie it being on the stack) and they are at 0 or lower life they lose, in older editions it checked life totals at the end of phase, perhaps this is what they were thinking
>>
>>47591179
Nothing in that combo gives a shit if you cast it.

You cast the Ritual with psychic puppetry's "You may tap or untap target permanent." spliced onto it. So the ritual reads "Gain 3 red mana, untap or tap target permanent". Now you copy that spell with the guildmage. So for 3 mana you get another one. Now when the copy resolves, you get your three mana returned to you, but you can also untap a land, netting you +1 mana. Now copy again. Rinse and repeat.
>>
>>47591247
>>47591270

Ooh, thanks guys
>>
>>47591167
It does stop, since state based actions are checked in between both the triggers. It's not technically infinite combo, since it ends when only one player is alive.
Anyway, it's like this, opponent loses life, Exquisite Blood notices "oh shit time to gain some life" and after the life is gained, Sanquine Bond triggers, and life loss triggers. Life loss triggers the life gain and so on. State based actions are checked in between the triggers, and that means players die.
>tl;dr your playgroup doesn't know how to read. If it would end in tie, how would the combopieces' triggers work?

I have many edh decks, like 20.

Inb4 these lists I bring today aren't your typical decks but doesn't mean they suck.

Im quite fond of my Vanilla generals. My decklists were inspired by:

An exciting pauper Sivitri deck which you can check here:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8Ffd6px5jOg

Jasmine Boral by topandgoproductios: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Dgdk_Xa3m-o

Topandgoproductions video on Jasmine inspired me to build a deck which told a story around a general. I chose The Lady of the Mountain, the deck is on WIP, you can check its development here: My most recent wip deck:

>>47596475
The guys that play commander there are all super cool. You'll probably see me there at some point. I'm not there every week, but when I can make it, I do.

There are so many stores around Nashville too that support just about every format. The only ones that I don't think I've seen are legacy/vintage but then again I don't play them so I may just not be looking. If you drive down to Murfreesboro, there are 3 shops there. The most OG shop around town is in Dickson, Blackthorn (I think that's what it's called) which is absolutely where you should buy sealed product. The owner is a super nice guy, and he never sells boxes for more than MSRP. Actually, he may even go lower, because he was selling BFZ boxes for like $75-80. They don't do singles there, but there are more than enough stores around town to satisfy that need. Depending on where you in Nashville you live, you've got a ton of choices. Game Cave has the biggest commander community, as well as Infinity, but Grand Adventures in Murfreesboro is trying to get a commander thing set up too.

Can that card's ability be abused by continuous blinking effects, like Brago or Conjurer's Closet?
>>
>>47598113

sorta

the effect that prevents them from casting the named spell or activating the named card's abilities only works while the creature is in play, and if you flicker it, it ends, and you would have to rename that same card if you want to continue preventing that card from being used

however, it could be useful to name a card and then when you no longer need that card to be named, flicker it and name a different one

I wonder why your friends singled you out.

Your mana base is terrible, you're mixing three different strategies (and mill and infect are some of the worst), and none of your reanimation targets win you the game.

Try adding lands that come into play untapped, more tutors if you're wedded to infect, and some better creatures and spells. You're in BUG, and you're using scour from existence.

Darien has one trigger for each source dealing damage to him

My favorite deck I own is my kami of the crescent moon "everyone draws" deck.
If people seriously think you are going for a slow as fuck wincon by mill, you need to realize they're generalizing what your deck hopes to accomplish. Don't play kingmaker, don't play group hug just to help others with no win con in mind. Play "everyone draws" with plenty of counterspells handy, plenty of stasis effects and stax. HAVE A WINCON IN MIND- Make it fun for the table to keep you alive, but pack a lot of teeth grinding bullshit that will make the table question why they didn't kill you.

My favorite play was starting with kami of the crescent moon/font of mythos, meekstone, and eventually dropping storm cauldron and mana Web at the same time (using high tide to accomplish it)

The table couldn't remove it, because each of my opponents feared tapping even a single land could lead to bouncing every land he owned to hand and getting stomped to death by the other players.

Say one of my opponents has 7 islands and taps one for mana while I control storm cauldron and mana Web, would the single island they used for mana bounce to their hand, and the other 6 become tapped and not bounce? What if they want to take mana out of the 6 other lands in response? Then do they all bounce?
>>
>>47608422
If they tap one for mana, and the rest tap due to storm cauldron, only the one used to produce mana gets bounced.

If they tap the rest of their lands in response to storm cauldron's trigger, making more mana, then each one tapped for mana will be bounced.
>>
>>47608422
When Mana Web's trigger resolves, the lands tap, but they're not tapped for mana, so they never bounce. But still, that's a retard magnet, because everyone wants to take all mana from them.

>spend an hour setting up my janky OTK, opponent is playing Mardu Kaalia of the Vast and wraths, other opponent is playing janky green infinite
>finally drop hidetsugu, give him haste, dictate of the twin gods is out, my penis is expanding
>mardu is tapped out, going in for the execution
>fucking green player untaps exactly two of Mardu's lands with Argothian Elder

Absolutely, even if someone wanted to play dumb shit like an anime proxy of rasputin dreamweaver and didn't actually have the card. As long as they let me know in advance that they are just testing the commander out to see if they like it.

Honestly, we are playing commander to have fun. If there is a format to play weeb proxies, it would be commander. Just make sure everyone else is comfortable with it before you pull it out.

If extended borders/alters are OK, why would weeb proxies not be?

Sideboarding is pretty bullshit. if they will sideboard this against Uril then yeah, play less obvious strategies, but also your right in thinking you should up the power level because you don't sideboard a hard counter against a crappy jank deck

I'm new to EDH and I heard something about certain Dual typed lands that are counted as Basic. Could someone elaborate? Which lands are these and how do I get them?
>>
>>47616066
There are two types of dual lands that count as two different types of basic land, so it'll say "Land - Island Plains" for example

The first type was printed in the first sets, and have no drawbacks, and are called ABUR duals and are very expensive

The second type is from the original Ravnica block, and was reprinted in the Return to Ravnica block and as Zendikar Expeditions. These ones come into play tapped unless you pay 2 life as they enter the battlefield, so they're called shock lands
>>
>>47616066
Duals and shocks have two subtypes, such as "Island" and "Plains". They count as those for every effect you can think of. They work specially well with fetchlands.

>>
>>47616066

Different anon, but its a huge exaggeration. Miyazaki (like Anno) doesn't like the direction the industry is heading and hates the otaku subculture. As for your second point though, Miyazaki isn't really the god many make him out to be. Most of his films are just mediocre or average. A lot of other anime movies out there are much better.

>>

>>
>>47618742

>>47618754
If you're talking about anime, then you're completely wrong. Anime is still hand drawn to this day and is watched by people up until middle school.
>>47618767
>Also anime is not a medium, it's a genre
It is literally a genre. Anime in Japanese means animation. It is literally a way of expression in media. If you hate a specific type of anime, that is completely valid. But to dismiss the entire medium is just plain stupid. That's like saying all movies suck just because you hate capeshit.
>>47618780
>I already listed like half the anime I've seen
Try watching around 200-300 shows then come back. If that's just half of the anime you've seen, then you need to watch more. You haven't even BEGUN to scratch the surface of the medium.
>>
>>47618729

>>47618225
>>
>>47618811
I'm not, I clearly said I was talking about Western Cartoons.

The reason I don't watch anime much is because I don't think its good. I have weeb friends, I get to see new interstingly terrible shit every time we hang out. He sometimes purposely finds the worst shit he can so we can have a good laugh. I thought Redline was actually really cool, though.
>>
>>47618847
To say all anime is bad though is a bit of a stretch though, don't you think? That's like saying all books are bad because you only read YA paranormal romance shit.
>>
>>47618811

There's no way I'm going to watch 200-300 different anime shows, when only 2 of the 20-30 I've seen have been tolerable

As far as I'm concerned that's way way more than enough to know how I feel about the genre, or the "style", whatever, when they all feel the same to begin with

Also you should really stop exaggerating it makes you really annoying

>20-30 shows isn't even "scratching the surface"
>>
>>47618891
>20-30 shows isn't even "scratching the surface"
But it's true. If you've watched less than 100 most anime fans don't really think you have a smidge of knowledge about anime, the industry, or the medium in general. Would someone who has only watched five or so movies be able to make an assumption about all movies ever? I don't think so. Or at the very least, you would get laughed at when you tried to make that assumption when talking to a film enthuseist.
>There's no way I'm going to watch 200-300 different anime shows
This is proving my point. You aren't willing to put in the time and effort to find a show you will actually enjoy and instead confine yourself to saying the entire medium is shit and you probably won't like any anime. You need to expose yourself to more anime in order to find the shows you want to watch or the genres you find interesting.
>about the genre, or the "style"
anime isn't a genre, it's a medium. And besides, style differs from director to director and genre to genre within anime.
>>
>>47618888
Well, you have to understand there's multiple people posting here. I, myself, don't think its all bad. I just have very, very specific tastes in it. And I don't consider any of the stuff I like to be highbrow entertainment. I like it in the same way I like b-movies. A very legitimate enjoyment that comes from liking oldschool animation and shclocky entertainment. I'm the guy who suggested Urotsukidoji.
>>
>>47618984
My point is just that anime can be high quality and can be serious. The assumption that all anime is b rate media is a misinformed one in my opinion.

5 or so movies is a lot different from 20-30 anime, if somebody told me they've seen 20-30 romantic comedies and they don't like any of them, I'd say they should've stopped watching romantic comedies 15 movies ago

Also I never said I was giving up completely on anime, all i said was that anime is shit, what I meant was, it's by and large shit, which you confirmed given that you basically agreed that all the most popular anime are shit
>>
>>47619144
No, what I said was you are watching entry-tier anime, which by and large are shit and is not representative of the medium. There are quite a few good anime, they just aren't entry/normie-tier shows. ditto for twilight, I doubt even the most devout vampire lovers still care about twilight

I'm talking the books and movie that have stood the test of time and still remain popular

I've found Drana hard to play. She's a good black waifu, but operates on such an obvious strategy that sameness tends to occur as removal is saved by the other players. Yes, I can win with other black tricks, but then its a case of any commander would work.

None of those you listed (besides the ones you actually liked) have stood the test of time (anime is a young medium) and are still popular.

what about trigun?

everyone told me trigun would be good but it was the same stupid shit, muh waifus, muh hand behind head sweat drop embarrassed face, muh superhuman skills

also i didnt LIKE samurai champloo or cowboy bebop, i tolerated them, as in, i didnt flat out refuse when my friends all agreed they wanted to watch them

soundtracks were decent but even those animes had the shit i dont like, the comic relief cutesy characters, the exaggerated faces, the monologues at weird times

I don't think you know what objective means. You don't know what wrong means either. Enjoy being the lowest common denominator.
