So for those of you that went there, what Zodiac did you pick in FF12? Hainvg trouble choosing.
>>
Did anyone make any cool new team names in RWBY?
>>
>>46976654
None of them I'm afraid, travelled to FF12 for a vacation from the bullshit that happened with the Worm'verse where I was Taylor's Shard. Well, after I assassinated a certain Prince and Researcher. Fuck those guys.

>>46976725
...umm, not quite.

Akitsu, Kirishima, Kurumu, Noel (me!):
- K.A.N.K. ?
- K.N.A.K. ?
- N.A.K.K. ?
- A.N.K.K. ?

It's really fucking awkward let me tell you.
>>
>>46976725
Due to the names my companions took, Ozpin wound up somehow (read: had Benefactor implant in head) making my team's name QWBY.

I'm sure you can see the other issue beyond the lack of originality. I was fairly irritated.
>>
>>46976832
Go with A.N.K.K.
You could pronounce it ankh, like the symbol.
Get a real egyptian them going on.
>>
>>46976854
But did you at least get Pyrrha to sign a new contract with you and become a magical girl? Or did you get lichblocked by her current sponsors?
>>
>>46976452
>>46976459
>>46976475
Any ETA on when OT will be done? Also what other jumps has this anon made? The Clone Wars Jump is probably the best one I've been in a long time
>>
>>46976725
M.G.N.T.
"Magenta", considering Jumper's color was pink, seemed rather nice...
Question: How far can Semblances scale?
>>
>>46976725
Still trying at it, though I do have to ask, what happens if you import 8 people. You can have 2 teams of 4 but that leaves one guy stuck with another team if we are going by the 4 people per team thing.
>>
Can somebody explain gauntlets to me?
>>
>>46977188
Probably.
>>
>>46977188
You start with 0 CP and your powers are gone, but if you die you just don't get to keep any Perks or Items you got from the Gauntlet.

>>46977222
Cheeky.
>>
>>46977234
Oh ok. Pretty cool. Any recommendations for which gauntlet i should try first or should I just jump right in?
>>
>>46977249
Go ahead.

Darkest Dungeon awaits. You won't miss your powers there at all~.
>>
>>46977249
Long Live the Queen is pretty fun, but fucking up and getting Elodie killed is just the worst thing for a budding Jumper that isn't evil or amoral to do.
>>
Can I get two different colored rings in Green Lantern if I purchase another ring?
>>
>>46977284
Well, let's face it, she was probably going to die anyway.
>>
>>46977087
Honestly, unless new information presents itself, that's like asking how far a JJBA Stand can scale.

>>46977249
Monopoly Gauntlet. Anyone with half a brain and a good liver can drink the others under the table and make bank.
>>
>>46977369
Or spend the whole time in jail but still winning.
>>
>>46977315
If you're talking about buying one in DC and one in GLTAS yes. If you're talking about two from GLTAS I think the answer Many gave last time was yes.
>>
Was there ever a Jak and Daxter jump in the works?
>>
>>46977392
And then you get a handful of properties in every jump thereafter, and some fun finance related things like being able to buy any property for 1.5x its value, and easy conversion of inter jump funds.
>>
>>46976895
Oh! Thanks man, actually never thought about that.
>>
About Semblances, from what I understand, if we don't select any of the ones offered, it will develop on its own. In that case, how does one figure out what that Semblance will be? Will previous capabilities, like Nen, Appetite Energy, Hamon, or even Haki play a role in influencing it?
>>
>>46977735
Pretty sure you just eventually develop your origins one anyway, buying it just gets you it first.
>>
>>46977735
If you don't buy any of the origin-based semblances, you either develop the one attached to your origin, or you get Represent.

Represent's the big one to custom-make your own Semblance - just requires awakening and training other Aura-users until they awaken their own Semblance, and then observation so that Represent snags a few pieces of it.
>>
>>46977757
Oh dear.
>>
>>46977284
>implying that a jumper won't find a way to give Elodie a few choice abilities to maximize her potential as queen and lumen sage
>>
>>46977757
>>46977793
Me: >>46977797
Sorry about the short reply, it's just that I noticed that the Semblances basically further builds on the stuff that the girls have already got.

Anyways, cheers for the help, also figured out the Egyptian Theme.

Team A.N.K.K.'s from Vacuo, their members are:
Akitsu Khonsu (Military Background)
>Khonsu's a Lunar Deity, plays into the reflecting nature of her Semblance.
Noel Nehebu-Kau (Drop In Background)
>Nehebu-Kau's a protective Serpent Deity, snakes have been a HUGE part of my Jump theme so far, and also, what's more protective than shutting down things that could hurt your team-mates?
Kirishima Khepri (Student Background)
>Khepri's the Solar Creator Deity, represented by the Scarab Beetle.
Kurumu Ammit (Criminal Background)
>Ammit's the creature that consumes the hearts of the unworthy in the Netherworld's Halls of Judgement, fitting for Miasma, no?

Thoughts?
>>
>>46977793
Maybe this is me being a dick to say this but I kind of wish there were more semblances to choose from or perhaps a supplement that let you design your own. I also wish they were not capstones and cheaper since it seems almost everyone (possible slight exaggeration) already has developed their semblances by the time they reached beacon (which is a high school, keep in mind Ruby should be in middle school and has hers.) That said I understand that I guess not everyone has their semblances but those who don't usually are specializing in dust use.
I hope the person who made the jump doesn't think I am just bitching about it because honestly I would like to see more. I am not calling it bad or terrible by any means I just want more. I hope I don't sound like too much of an Ass for saying that.
>>
>>46977996
You do start a year before cannon and a year before you would normally join Beacon, you have time to train yours up if you don't want to buy it.
>>
>>46977935
Looks nice and thematic, though aren't some of you meant to have names based around colours?
>>
>>46977996
As the other anon said you do have a year to train them up and most jumpers have a few perks that increase how fast they learn new skills, so for most its not really an issue.
Also while making a new semblance sounds cool how they work and what their limits are were never really explained in detail so there is not much to go off of. People would abuse it and it would end in another "This perks lets me do whatever I want" shitstorm.

Cool as hell, man. Team A.N.K.K. is a go.
Godspeed.
It IS awful weird and convenient that the Egyptian theme fit so well.

It's almost as though FATE HAS INTERVENED.

>>46978180
Not necessarily. The theme seems to be different for every team.
Team JNPR was at least partially based on historical figures and such.
Team CRDL was just bird themed.

Figuring out their weapons is gonna be awesome.

I might continue with the color names, 'cause it will be hilarious to see what else I can find on this.

Still though, to the Anon who supplied the idea, thanks tonnes!
>>
>>46978245
JNPR's theme is that they're all based on characters from folklore or legend who crossdressed at some point. Jaune is Joan of Arc, Pyrrha is Achilles, Nora is Thor and Ren is Hua Mulan.
>>
>>46978245
Yeah, but every character has a color name, except for those who are old enough to predate the Great War. Their names are all either their signature color (not necessarily an English word, though) or an object that is that color.

Well I just found the Color Naming Rule thing on the RWBY wiki, and need to apologize for talking out of my ass. I had no idea that was a thing. Jesus that's complicated. All the teams have at least two themes running at once.

>>
>>46978460
It's a bit bland right now. Is there anything that might set it out more? Like things from All Quiet on the Eastern Front, or say Schindlers List?

Why am I reminded of that anecdote where someone brings in an IG army painted like all the Nazis and the Commisar is Adolf?
>>
>>46978460
>Becoming and getting powers based on some of the worst monsters in real life, including those responsible for one of the worst atrocities in history
....I think at this point there might be a line that's been crossed, even for JC.
>>
>>46978460
This is a thing. I'm...hesitantly curious as to where it'll go.
>>
>>46978460
I'd really rather you stop this. If you want to be a nazi you can just defect in one of the other jumps in the time period.
>>
>>46978460
I don't think this should be made anymore then a 9/11 or War on Terror jump should. It feels like it'd only invite /pol/ level stuff, in addition to being pretty immoral and disrespectful to the real life suffering millions went through. The fact that you can become one of the people that caused that and are rewarded for it...yeah, just no.
>>
>>46978498
ill try to include that in the scenarios. Thanks for reminding me about schindler's list was going to be included

>>46978484
>>46978505
>>46978528
>>46978535

I plan this really as having two routes. First to defeat the third reich not as a foreign power but as citizen of Germany itself. A representation of the silenced opposition of Germany mass censorship
While the alternative is well being a nazi
My main reason of doing this is that just being part of the time and well deciding to have journey in which our decisions would be made.

Not really a nazi just a histoical enthusiast.
>>
>>46978548
Yeah, that answers none of the problems. You are literally giving people rewards for being a Nazi. Please stop.
>>
9254 reminded me about that whole change-must-come-from-within. Wasn't someone working on a ¡REVOLUCION! jump?

>>46978548
The problem might be is that the way the jump is written and the perks are flavored you are pushing the slight implication of immoral activity into outright in your face compliance/participation.
>>
>>46978548
There are plenty of ways to be a historical enthusiast other then this. I think the fact that all but one response so far has been asking you to stop should give a hint as to what people's feelings on this are.
>>
>>46978535
>>46978554
Jumpchain is a representation of our desire to become part of events that we couldn't in real life. An oppurtunity to do both good and bad. To matter in this moment in history.

>>46978554
Yet we casually talk about killing of entire worlds and using their population as slave labour. The worse of us are worse than nazis or 1000 hitler combined. The Genocidal maniacs would always be genocidal maniacs , the saints would be saints. In the end of the day i simply give you a choice of where you want to go but i can never stop you from doing what you want.
>>
>>46978572
Ill fix this in the victory conditions promise.
>>
>>46978595
No, this just seems like you wanting to either start something or wanting to be a nazi.

There's a big difference between fictional imagination and basing a jump on real events in history that caused the real horrific deaths of millions and making you part of the actual people responsible. The fact that you can't tell what's wrong is more worrying then people doing bad things in their imagination.
>>
>>46978595
>Representation
That's your interpretation and falls apart given most jumps are not based in the real world and thus have zero relation to our history, it's not really justification for disrespecting the suffering of so many people. Most of your posts just seem to be wankery trying to paint this as something big when it doesn't look like it amounts to much more then "I want a nazi jump".

Couldn't find anything there, thanks for the help though.

Did trawl through some of my loot from the days of researching Ancient Egypt and I found some interesting words:

Akitsu Khesbed-Khonsu
>Khesbed is Lapis Lazuli, interesting thing, about this is that according to the Ancient Egyptians, the gods' hair were made of Lapis Lazuli.
Noel Abu-Nehebbu-Kau
>Abu is Ivory, the White Snake is a pretty common mythological thread in Sub Saharan Africa, especially the Batswana.
Kirishima Nebu-Khepri
>Nebu is gold.
Kurumu Kem-Ammit
>Kem is Black, attached it to Ammit for obvious reasons.

It feels kinda lazy to just attach them to the surnames, but it's gonna take a while before I find the rules on Egyptian Names and how 'name-ify' (if such a word exists) words.
>>
>>46978027
>>46978223
It's true that you might be able to get your semblance in a year of training but that would still put you behind almost everyone else; Still probably going to have to use this for some companions so I can't complain too much. It's not an ideal solution but it is a solution of sorts.
As for the some rules to design semblances being hard to do and possibly easily breakable, Well you are probably right. It's kind of sad though that we lose out on so much because "It will cause shitstorms". Truly this is why we can not have nice things.

The only thing that this jump would be good for is eliminating the national socialist party and stopping the largest senseless conflict of the twentieth century and the resulting pogroms that followed it.

Seriously, they're not wrong, this is /pol/ level material. If you want to keep it, fine, but it's going to need some heavy reworking. Also reprice your perks, these are badly done. You reduce costs, you don't multiply them.
>>
>RWBY stuffs

>>46978655
The naming theme doesn't have to be an ironclad rule, most of the times you can get away with names that only sound colory. Besides, who names their kid Taiyang and then names another Yang? Or look at Junior, his color is in the surname, not the prenom.

>>46978657
Given that we still do not know much or anything on the spread and limits of Semblances (I threw my hands up at the Mirror Image clone guy), a supp wasn't in the works. This jump was made in S1-S2 break, and the Semblances made to mirror the casts.

>>46978606
This might not have been the best way to coach your jump as the 'not all germans were nazis simulator'.
>>
>>46978677
>stopping
It would take a lot more than eliminating the nazi party to avoid ww2, with how ww1 ended there wasn't much of a chance of avoiding it without dissolving germany as a nation entirely, and that would have just changed the way the war was fought.
>>
>>46978460
I like it!
>>
>>46978460
Can we not? Make a WW2 jump and have Germany as an option if you want, but this is just too extreme, even if you try to say it's only so you can rise against them.
>>
>>46978704
I have no intention of getting into politics. I'm criticizing the jump itself.
>>
>>46978460
You seem to not be getting what people are trying to politely tell you. You're basically pissing on the real life tragedies that happened by turning it into a point based reward system like jumps are. You can try to justify it all you want but at the end of the day your taking a big smelly dump on a part of history that's already one of humanity's worst moments. Can you try to not make it worse or is your history boner telling you to to do it anyway?
>>
>>46978714
Besides, we already have Platoon Jump anyway. Which lets you join sides that, well, aren't the Nazis.
>>
>>46978714
This.

Seriously, the WW2 jump we have is a WIP that I don't think is ever going to be finished; doing your own would be infinitely preferable to a jump about literally being Nazi's.

Also, jumpmaker, the word is 'through', not 'thru'.
>>
>>46978756
Yeah, with Platoon it accomplishes the whole "I want you to be a part of history" thing the guy wanted so I'm not seeing any reason for this jump and seeing many reasons against this jump.
>>
>>46978623

>>46978606

No im not forcing you to be a nazi, you can defeat the nazis if you want.

>>46978647
>>46978623
>>46978677
>>46978687
Im really going to work this on the Alternative Victory Scenarios

Operation Valkyrie was a real life Military Coup removal of nazi party and the SS from the German Political spectrum via the reserve army. This represents military dissatisfaction toward the misuse and discrimination the Wermacht faced considering they were steadily replaced by the SS as the war progressed

Inglorious bastard is total overthow of the the German nazi party by the player as a german jew by removing hitler and his inner circle considering the autocratic rule of the NSDAP removing all key figure would trigger a power vacuum

and etc
>>
>>46978774

>>
>>46978774
Just stop. Please. You can make a WW2 jump if you want with the same sort of backgrounds then pick a country to be part of, but please don't continue this.
>>

M8, look here
If he wants to be a Nazi during the height of the Parties power in his day dream fantasy... Who the fuck cares?

You want to know why the alt right is gaining a lot of ground right now? Because everything Nazi is said to be bad. People don't discuss Fascism honestly because the 600 groillion looms over the conversation any time you want to say something positive about the Nazis. Fact is the Nazis economic polices turned the worst depression to ever afflict a westernised nation into an economic boom. People see that and think that there might have been some merits to fascism. Because they see that the don't realise the freedoms that they surrender on the altar of the national economy are worth so much more than what they receive. That a free market in a nation that upholds Justice and Liberty for all can provide all the wealth, happiness and pride one could ever want.

Painting the Nazi party in a purely negative light only makes the stormfronts seem right when they say "the Jews are lying to you" the positive they did comes too light. For the most part the guy seems unbiased in his portrayal of the Nazis.

>>46978460
But dude, this really does seem redundant when we've got the Platoon jump.

I was commander of the French Resistance.

And Strike Witches lets you be a Magical Girl Nazi if you really want.
>>
>>46978774
We already have existing jumps for the time period and events, this jump is breaking the most basic rules of Jumpchain.
It's also fucking terrible, but that's another point altogether.
>>
>>46978796
Oh look, now /pol/s here and we have even more justification for why this jump is a bad idea.
>>
>>46978801
This, beyond all else. We've got a jump that covers the time period. This should be the last line needed.
>>
>>46978801
As memory serves, doesn't the free choice option on the one we already have permit you to be anywhere, including Germany? So being a Nazi is covered too.
>>
Well, this jump reminds me of some of the criticisms I had for Uber (it's a comic about Nazi supersoldiers), like 'where are all the good germans', and 'now the only way to stop the Axis is with genocide'.

Dang thing almost went to scrap when I realised there was hardly anything to do after reducing the ubermenschenwaffen to a smear except maybe punch the Cold war up the timeline. That and the possibility of an Axis origin background. /end blog
>>
>>46978774
Feel free to keep working on it, just keep in mind that if everyone is against it it probably won't make it onto the drive.
So your options are to make something that is palatable or make something for your own personal use.
>>46978809

If everything the Nazis did were bad they wouldn't have been able to seize power and besides, I like Israel.

This is what I mean, the second you start trying to be somewhat objective about the Nazi party as being /pol/ tier discourse it's character assassination and not a valid rebuttal.

I'm not all of the anonymous /pol/ community, nor is World War II politics my only line of discourse. It's only when the conversation turns to the Nazis does it all degenerate into a shit storm. Well, also when I talk about how based Great Britain was during the war to the yanks.

I've said my piece, you're all being a bunch of fucking reactionists and the jump maker didn't do his homework.

Let us now take a moment to change gears and discuss our Magical Girl Costumes.

Mine takes much of it's inspiration from Madoka, please not the hair ribbons as they really give off the appearance of youthful innocence, which is juxtaposed by the cigarette and the stubble.

i suggest a compromise for both sides.Let us set up a straw poll in which we would use to use our democratic rights to decide whter or not this is okay.If rhe motion is passed we should also draft a rule that prevents politically sensitive jumps to be made. Some one make straw poll pls

It was quickly pointed out how easy it was to samefag on the thing. Seriously strapolls are the worst way to deciding anything on the internet, even below competitive shitposting. At least competitive shitposting can be somewhat entertaining.

Besides, thread works perfectly fine for establishing consensus.

Well, I guess this was to be expected in /jc/.

Sadly, the only community in /tg/ that hates new content that might ruin their little solo-adventures. I guess that this happens when the community isn't anonymous anymore and people must voice the politically correct answer.

Even when the jump doesn't have any offensive thing yet that you can't see or do in many other jumps.

Maybe you could do it like the Economic Investment Jump and suddenly turn it into a Dies Irae Jump
>>
>>46979260
Or you could get over your bitching about SJWs and realise we have a jump that covers it anyway. But I suspect you're only looking for an excuse to complain at people.
>>
>>46979260
Did you just the fact that Platoon jump already covers the "setting"? Maybe if you had better reading comprehension you could look like less of a defensive faggot.

Also I have no idea what that is, nor do I care, and you should make it yourself if you want it that badly.
>>
>>46979280
I'm not supporting the Nazi jump, but unless I'm mistaken the Platoon jump is being a soldier in WW2, and that's hardly the only role.
>>
>>46979275
>realise we have a jump that covers it anyway.

Sure that's the problem.

Because I don't see anyone complaining about having two Imperium of Man jumps and an Eldar Jump iirc in the making, all those Marvel's jumps, 2 Fallout Jumps, 2 fate jumps (plus the other Nasuverse jumps), and I could keep going on this, but you get the idea.

The jumps offers something that the Platoon jump doesn't, AKA politics and guerrilla warfare if you go with the rebels.

Denying it was set on the same time-period/universe is a poor excuse to hide that it makes you uncomfortable, because it has never stopped any of those jumps.
>>
>>46979122
I made The Butcher from Worm take a drink an S rank threat while trying to power them up and make them a companion.

So the plan was simple, use the Medical tinker shard to clone the Butcher, dress them in generic mercenary clothes and then throw them at the Slaughterhouse 9000.
This was a pretty good idea at first, slowly 'infecting' the Slaughterhouse and turning the tide...
Then they started going full Highlander on each other, leaving us with a Brockton Bay more damaged than after the Levi battle and a crazy person with the full force of the Slaughterhouse at their disposal.
Needless to say it was not my brightest moment.
>>
But this ask the question if one jump per setting rule then what about fallout 4 and fallout jump? Or 40k and Light of terra jump? Shouldn't the people as well be ostracised for making those jumps as well why is this one so different?

its like people are just using that law when it is convenient to them

Two Imperium of man jumps? Where? An Eldar jump that doesn't cover anything that the Imperium jumps do isn't the same as a Nazi jump that is wholly covered by the Platoon jump. All the Marvel jumps take place in separate Alternate Universes, the Fallouts in different time periods, the Fate jumps on different AUs (The Nasuverse jumps all focus on entirely separate parts of the setting as well as an alternate universe, unlike the Nazi jump which is covered by Platoon) and I can keep going but I hope this proves your talking out of your ass.

>>46979392
Fallout jumps cover different timelines. 40k is basically the human/imperium jump while Light of Terra is essentially an OC scenario separate from any others. The Nazi jump is completely covered by choosing to go Germany in Platoon.

If you two want to bitch, at least try to get some good facts or else you just make your case.

The only difference between the IoM Jump and the LoT jump is that you can't be a Space Marine in LoT. Aside from that, there is literally nothing you can't in LoT that you can't do in the IoM.

And Fallout's different time periods or locations are always the same thing: Brotherhood of Steel, Liberty Prime, Ruined World and Plasma-tech weapons. What's the difference here?

Fate's different jumps, even if they are AUs, they all let you become basically the same thing, either a Master/mage or a servant. They even use the same Servant Supplement, that is 50% of the Jump.

As >>46979459 keeps saying, Platoon is combat oriented, while the jump that >>46978460 posted, military is only a perk tree.

They only share the time period. Which LoT and IoM also share. And Half-Life and Portal. And every World of Darkness's Jump. And all those Youtube, Cooking Show, etc. vacation jumps that take place in the same time period on the same 'setting', but each one has a different approach.

So, it was supposed to be an April Fool's Prank, this was after that shit with the dumbass School Pres and Tsukune, thanks to Hamon Training, was actually pretty swole.

So I talked him into meeting me when the wrestling club would do their thing wearing some gear. On the day, I managed to sneak us in before the club gathered and I had strike a pose as I quickly put together the necessary make-up to make us look like statues.

Now picture this, you walk into the School Gymnasium, it's dark and switches aren't working and there are two statues wearing masks in the centre of the area, then there's a click and strange music starts playing.

The statues then crack as golden light lances out of their forms and explode, leaving two masked, fit men posing.

"ATTEND MY FAITHFUL!"

One of them booms, his voice reverberating in your mind, as he shifts and shows off his back and triceps, while the crouches and flexes.

"MY SERVANT HAS WITNESSED YOUR DEVOTION TO THE PERFECTION OF YOUR FORM AND NOW I, GHAYNZU! LORD OF MIGHT SHALL BLESS ALL WHO CALL UPON ME TWOFOLD DURING THEIR ROUTINES!"

At that moment, a massive flare of golden light blinds you and then, when you can see again, they are gone.

So...long story short, I kinda started a cult worshipping the Aztec God Ghaynzu at Youkai Academy, and made doubly sure that Tsukune and I and our Hamon usage was kept seriously low key.

>>46979509
I don't think so, you get void powers from the element of mystery perk
>>
>>46979506
All of LoT takes place in a warpstorm sealed off from the rest of the setting though and you follow a pre conceived path of scenarios, almost all of which aren't possible in the normal 40k jump because it involves crazy situations or plots/things that are made up on the spot.

Fallout and Fallout 4 take place in separate time periods. Whether you like it or not, that makes them separate enough. Nazi and Platoon do not.

Fate's two jumps taking place in almost wholly different settings, with one jump being basically a boss gauntlet, are the same thing? That you can become the same thing in both is reason to call the same? I suppose any jump that lets you become a wizard is the same in your eyes then?

And as has been explained to you and him earlier, having a different focus is only acceptable if you cannot already do that on your own in the original jump. You can't join a holy grail war in Tsukihime, but you can do politics in Platoon. Just because you don't get a whole slew of perks related to politics doesn't justify making a new jump for a setting that is already mostly covered. See the earlier anon's example.

>>46979513
No, not really. The only thing different between Nazi and Platoon is the perks. You can start off as a citizen of Germany in Platoon if you want, you cannot start as an Eldar seer in Imperium if you want.
>>

Except Arcuied and Shiki, because Nasu breaks his own rules so hard he forgot to explain how the REAL flesh and blood Arcuied and Shiki somehow got inside the clarktech moon matrix. They respectively tear their way out and teleport away at the end of their boss fights, you see.

Also all mages on Earth became hackers apparently. And it's apparently not made as much of a difference as you might think; some fucking how Kiara was able to write computer programs that caused mass suicide-orgies before getting into the Moon Cell.

Also, also I just realised Extra Servants/Divine Spirits are pretty much the same thing as DDS demons, down to the latter being able to be fused together by BB. How about that?

And yet in the Cooking Show jump, that is all you do. Your entire jump is based around the cooking show, you fail if your show is cancelled. The Youtube jump is the same, it is wholly based on Youtube and you die if your channel does. The entire focus is on the one thing.

Not the case in the Nazi jump. You can be a soldier, civilian, officer and so on. There is no single focus besides it being German, which is possible to be in the Platoon jump anyway. Platoon is also not solely military focused as you keep claiming. It is focused on the war, but only in that your jump lasts until it ends. You might not get political perks, but you can still end the war with politics.
>>
>>46979644
Fun fact 3- the Nazi jump doesn't have a total focus on politics either. One origin is manufacturing stuff, one is civilian stuff, one is being a Jew (really?), one is military and I think one might be political. So there's really no "Oh but I cant do my politics" valid complaint.
>>
>>46979644
I see that there is no point on keep discussing this. You only see the differences when you want it and ignore the ones that don't favor your argument although you will say the same about me.

I would just like to encourage the Jumpmarker to finish their work, maybe try to differentiate it enough with Platoon (maybe instead of starting at 1936, having it start at the end of WWI), since that is the only complaint that people are voicing now. It's one of the few jumps that seems to be more focused on politics than in fighting that we have here, it would be a same that it would go wasted.
>>
>>46979644
Concede we can do this with that start that is not the debate we get it but answer this. Why shouldn't the point of origin matter ?You already said it already its main point is being german or atleast a german centric jump. Why shouldn't there be allowed for an add for possible new source of origin considering we value that principle in case of LOT and race based restrictions and their respective lives in the imperium.
>>
Jumpers!

>Focused on politics
We've read very different jumps mate. There's only 2 out of 5 origins that involve politics and one's the drop in that involves other stuff too. And two origins involve fighting (One being mass genocide, so I suppose it's not fair to say it's a fight) Get a better reason or stop talking.

>>46979682
Because unlike in 40k (And funnily enough, unlike what the Germans believe) there are not massive differences in race between nationalities. There are soldiers, factory owners, politicians and drop ins in every nation on the planet, all of which are things you can potentially be in the Platoon jump, even if you might not get perks to specifically help that. The only one that's unique to Germany is the German Jews (Technically not given the neighbouring countries but bear with me) and you can just say your race is a Jew when you choose Germany in the Platoon jump.
>>
>>46979674
>You only see the differences when you want it and ignore the ones that don't favor your argument although you will say the same about me.
Being fair, you do make giant leaps of logic (And sometimes lie/are completely mistaken) to try and justify your point. It'd help your side a lot if you didn't try to do silly things like saying all the Marvel jumps are the same.

>>46979992
oh it starts out much harder than what Bear Grylls is used to, you see there isn't nature to survive off of on a damn starship, nor are there warring factions with guns in random ass woods, even if you make it to the planet the planet could still be pretty messed up depending on what drawbacks and such you take.

>>46980024
It has been confirmed before that the Spyder can fix the ship on it's own given time, so pick a tribe you like and eliminate the rest.

Grab what social/knowledge/personality perks you think you will need, ignore equipment for the most part.

After that just play it safe, you'll end up with less points to spend on the Light itself but you'll live through the experience.

Also, accept that this is going to royally suck ass.
>>
>>46980089
Thanks, lets hope the RNG gods are kind.
>>

You actually don't have to eliminate all other tribes besides the one you pick initially. Diplomacy is an option with some of them, just probably not with the giant motherfuckers with the flamethrower chainsaws.
>>

because there is a big difference between part of the story/something the benefactor did when setting up your adventure and something and "oh I don't have companions so some random people showed up and sacrificed their vehicle to fix this ancient repair station that I happen to be pulling into"
>>46980089
yeah but it's probably going to take longer then the rejuvenation treatments can keep you alive, the thing is hella slow. Plus almost every one of those tribes is useful for something except the redeemers, screw those guys.
>>
>>46980029
Considering if you don't break the Deadlight you're in a very similar situation with only what your normal human brain can remember of your previous jumps separating you from someone doing LoT as jump #1 I'm not sure it would be that much harder than anyone else doing the unbroken Deadlight route.

You don't have companions, sure, but they'd be de-powered too, so they'd mainly be a help keeping you sane.
>>
>>46980121
One problem there, the benefactor didn't set this one up did she?

>>46980121
Rejuvenation treatments can keep people alive for at least centuries. The Spyder can also keep you alive forever,
>>

She did. Unless you want to say that the benefactor is weaker then that halfling in the Dnd jump ManyFist made, individual jumps don't get to rule on Jumpchain concepts like the Benefactor and how they work.

>>46980131
right so why would there be a team of people working diligently to fix this ancient repair station? My argument was that the benefactor set up the disadvantages rather than it being coincidences. What anon is trying to do is justify a random team sacrificing their ship to repair the station.

This is a dumb argument. "It bothers me morally so it shouldn't exist." is a stance that would get us tons of jumps banned . It can be argued it's too similar to Platoon etc, and maybe on other criteria, but on your feelings I'd say not.

As far as the first Mistborn book (instead of the actual Final Empire itself) goes, yeah.

Uh, I honestly know fuckall about the concept of JumpChains so you'd have to elaborate in a bit more detail but yeah I suppose those could work for Selish powers. Some, or all, Selish magics are geographically-based so there would probably be more conditions involved but I'm being pedantic.

Barring geographical reasons, are you leaving out the AonDor (unless that's what you mean by Elantrian ritual) because of something else? I don't think Seon crafting would be at the same level of magic as the others; otherwise, seems okay.

The Ire? Only if you're including the Cognitive Realm in this RP thing.

>>46980474
Nah. Each of those will carry over much like allomancy and so forth. There's actually an item that can grant others a connection to the door, a birdbath sized dor pool. The caps would then let you grant others lesser versions. Like the lerasium bead.

>>
>>46981152
I think it would depend on what you are, exactly. If you're anything but Drop In, then presumably something in your backstory gave you the procedure for the implants. It's actually a fairly involved process that takes somewhere around several months to complete, it doesn't just happen by accident.

I know Tech Priests actually have their own kind of Space Marine that is more loyal to their ideals than they are the other chapters, for instance. Civilians and Guardsmen are possibly some kind of experiment by a heretical general or some shit. Sisters of Battle might be working on a similar but distinct system to better serve der emperor. Sometimes weird shit happens in 40k, even in the Imperium. You'll just have to come up with a reason for why that shit went down.

And obviously if you are a Drop In none of that fucking matters, but you'll probably want to come up with some kind of cover story for why you're not part of a chapter.
That doesn't end with "so they kicked me out", because that's a good way to get shot.
>>

Well I think it could be fleshed out a bit more and the like as it also being an interesting point in time.

I do see though that Platoon might actually qualify as covering this time period but at the same time we have a Forever WIP that was made at/around the same time as Platoon the WW2 jump that would cover the entire spectrum. My memory is hazy, but that was generally accepted due to the scope it had.

But that is forever WIP as one path is done and we haven't seen GeneralAnon since forever.

This is of course just my thoughts on the whole issue. If he goes through with it or not and if it gets on the drive isn't up to me as with all things related to the archive itself I am neutral on the subject.
>>
>>46981399
Far as I remember the WW2 jump never had more then 2-3 posts, none of which had more then a rough outline of 6-7 jumps the guy planned to do, before they disappeared completely. Dude, you've seen what kind of shitstorm has been going on. If you're really a "history enthusiast" then just make a straight up WW2 jump or literally anything else. But going only for a Nazi focus and claiming "It's historical!" is not making it look nice.

Technically, I'm possessing my own body most of the time, due being perfectly able to survive without needing the meatpuppet. Well, technorganic puppet.

But yes, lots of times. Most commonly, my technopathy means it's pretty easy to just Assuming Direct Control and jump into robots and such.
But I have a few magic and ghostly means of possession as well, which I mostly use to mess with people and/or make sure 'MCs' do the right thing at a crucial moment.

True Mindswitch is nice too, which aside from my personal uses, actually allowed one of my companions to swap bodies with Leviathan and carry that form out of the jump.

Time will tell, to be sure.

You have to wonder, though. How difficult would it be to herd a number of individuals together, simply by assuming direct control either of their comrades and loved ones, or their enemies?

And what would a certain man who watched A Clockwork Orange one time too many do, were he to receive a text explaining the situation?

"Neo isn't here right now, but We'd be glad to take a message."

Oh yes. These days it's less possess conventionally and more assume direct control, though.

The most notable example back when we had a physical body in the materium would probably have been Rand al'Thor, who we hijacked early on before he could realise his full potential. And proceeded to take on his entire identity for the rest of our stay, to gather the allies and alliances he would bring to bear.

It wasn't easy mind you; not all of them were complete idiots and some of them had to be disposed of when they saw behind our illusory Weaves, noticing a dark presence in the husk of a man. On the bright side by taking a much more hardline stance against the Forsaken (and by arming our archers with Origin bullets) we were able to save a lot of collateral damage, and push forward the rediscovery/revolutionisation of Weaves ahead of schedule.

Good grief, Nynavae was an annoying bitch and we're almost grateful she tried to blow the whistle on our plans to justify making her into a scapegoat. Matrim was a bro all the way, though. And we're almost sorry for what ultimately had to be done.

Namely, the complete annihiliation of the Dark One.

Well, there's Half-Ghost from Danny Phantom... Ayakashi from Imawabi no Dakini... and an Angel from Supernatural. So yeah, that is within my capabilities.
In fact, though, there are only two times I specifically possessed someone.

In Imawabi no Dakini I rode around in Neet, albeit with her consent. It just seemed easier, dealing with all the stuff in that world, if I had a vessel that would instantly respawn on death, even if she was kind of useless without proper direction.
"Kona, I love how it feels when you're inside me!"
"D-don't say that! You're making this weird!"

In Cave Story, though, I hijacked Date's body as soon as he put on the crown. It was part of my ongoing plot to achieve the PERFECT ENDING.

It was debilitated and crumbling, like "huge chasm in the middle of the road" crumbling, but none of the elves there seemed to notice. They just went along their lives as if nothing was wrong. I spent the jump trying to repair it, collecting rotten books for the library and filling in potholes, but nothing I did ever seemed to have a lasting effect.

Summoning Great Ones just for teaching a finishing course in how to emphasise better with humans, and also handing out lifetime supplies of Empyrean Redolence so they could reproduce without bugging us or humanity.

Progress was slow once we realised the whole eyes-on-brains thing inhibited thinking like a human since that's where normal human cognitive activity takes place, so we ended up having to break out the Geneforge for some minor tweaks. Whenever Flora got summoned she'd go on a rampage and have to be restrained and desummoned. Every class ended with the lecture theater covered in slime.

AND THEY WOULDN'T STOP HITTING ON US. You'd think some psychic fireballs would get the message across but NO, we quickly had to develop a rapid abjuration spell. And in retrospect giving them the Redolence along with a rudimentary understanding of Geneforge mechanics may have been why humanoid monstergirl Great Ones start showing up after a while.

Don't laugh, have you SEEN a Great One trying to ape (no pun intended) human form? Like Kos and her orphan?

Main biggie is magic is no longer a collective unconsciousness thing, you're drawing on an innate connection to a metaphysical structure created by the god-kings of Atlantis built on the boundary between Earth, the Abyss (a wasteland of broken, cancerous realities caused by said god-kings succeeding in taking over reality) and the Supernal Realms, which may or may not be the platonic idealisation of concepts and forces reflected in the World of Darkness as a whole or a unique perception of those concepts/forces only Mages can access

The god-kings who won are called Exarchs-they're who the Seers work for

Also magical fuckups come from the Abyss

The whole thing is actually kinda like Exalted. Heck, at high Gnosis you actually start turning into something like a Primordial.

Vampire stays decent at 6 and 7, I think. Personally. After that you start getting into stuff that gets a bit ridiculous for the game's powerlevel. 10 is full on "I become the planet" level stuff for Protean, for example. I believe 10 for vampires is just described as "Plot Device."

Oh, and I forgot about the Epic Attributes, the poorly stated Antagonists, and the Purviews that enhance the Epics.

Basically, if you play your cards right, your dicepool would be something like 10 dice + 16 successes to whatever you're rolling. At Legend 3.

Dare I ask what the maximum dicepool for an endgame Scion is like?

>>46984211
Not without completely reconfiguring the mechanisms. However, what you could do is get a City of Heaven seed in Lord of Light and either take some reverse engineering perks to build grathnode and parameno the hard way, or just use HYDRA Blueprints and Karmatron Dynamics to fuse the two seeds.

I asked Mir ages ago and he said the seed could have other exotic growth modes, so something like Hellwell but more song science-y shouldn't be out of the question.
>>
>>46984269
Yeah, one of the original purposes of the tower was to contact the voices of the planet, so it was buried pretty deep to resonate with them.
>>
>>46984271
Literally 'Yes', those are the Ultimate Attributes when you reach Legend 12.

The Purviews are even more ridiculous.
>>
>>46984067
Epic Attributes, particularly Dexterity. They're exponentially more powerful with each dot - one gives you one free success, two gives you two, three gives you four, four gives you seven, and so on. Note that this is SUCCESSES - the difference between 3 and 4 dots is the difference between an untrained cripple and a perfect master. Then each dot also gives you a new superpower on top of this.
>>
>>46984318
That's only if you're using the Ultimate Attributes, though. They're an active effect that you need to spend a lot of resources to use. Passively, your dice pool is just enhanced by 46 automatic successes at Epic Attribute 10. Which is still pretty damn broken, of course.
>>
>>46984271
>We're still not sure why that Galaxia copy picked us.

Because you bought it? And what do you mean by ultimate nightmare?
>>
>>46984353
Indeed, so that's a dicepool of 15 dice + 46 successes. I was looking for my Scion: God Rulebook.
>>
>>46984383

>>
>>46984402

>>
>>46984383
Wait...fuck, forgot about goddamn Arete.

>>

>>
>>46984450
Technically it's 12 attribute dice + 5 skill dice + 46 Epic Attributes successes + 46 Arete dice which can be spent two for one to get a reroll. So you could roll a 63 dice pool with 46 automatic successes, then if you don't get enough successes roll against with 61 dice and 46 successes, and so on until you exhaust the pool. You need to buy Arete for each skill individually, though.

I've never dared get involved in Exalted vs Scion arguments but based on the fact Scions are apparently like mini-Unconquered Suns, it sounds like in a straightforward fight Scions could easily mote tap Exalts of corresponding Essence ranking.

>>46984371
The joke is that we took all the nightmare-themed drop in perks which makes it a little incongruous to also have been deemed worthy by a magic sword meant to be used for good, CP fiat or no. Or to have Dream Power, for that matter.

Also Kirby was jump #160something, so. Yeah.

Which is as weird for us, personally, as taking that Pure of Heart perk in Skullgirls. Something just ain't adding up here.
>>
>>46984525
Get a permanent bodily Reality Marble like Nrvnqsr Chaos'. Import a Companion in FR and make them a Wizard/Sorcerer. Somehow invite them into your magical realm and have them cast Genesis inside.

Become an Angel in NGE and design your body as such. You can't quite become a Dirac Sea but you can cut some corners to get a similar effect.
>>
>>46984565
Epic Attributes are where it's at for Scion power. Their other magic isn't as good as what an Exalted can pull out, but when it comes to being superhuman they beat Exalts pretty handily.

No, it's legit. Most of Sanderson's novels take place in the same shared universe, just on different planets. Sanderson's confirmed this. It's been implied throughout them all but is getting particularly explicit in the Stormlight Archive books. I mean, at the end of Words of Radiance we see that the Wit somehow has Nightblood, the sentient sword from Warbreaker. Which makes sense once you remember that the Wit's real name is Hoid. You know how every single one of Sanderson's books has a character named Hoid in it somewhere? All the same person.

Once, a long time ago, a different Konata took the Mike headphones, because it was powerful and easily written off as a fashion quirk.
But then I realized that I never used them for anything EXCEPT a fashion quirk, and they were rather expensive.

So I decided to take the Master Crown instead.
It fits, since I went FULL Drop In that jump. In addition to picking up Dream Power. I am the cuddliest eldritch nightmare.
I sortof houserule it serves the "acts as a copy hat" role for commanding Waddle Dees, although I'm pretty sure everyone ignores that rule. I certainly forget it exists constantly.
But I mean, it's not like I'd let anyone else wear that damn thing. That would be a nightmare.
So the WDs can likely recognize it fairly easily. It's, uh, pretty distinctive.

I'm still not sure what my "nightmare" form looks like. Probably something like a cross between Magolor and Dark Matter.
I doubt it gets used a lot.

He...didn't react nearly as much as you'd think, actually.

Quiet guy, Meta Knight. Very single minded. Doesn't say much.

Possibly in order to conceal his squeaky voice.

He challenged us to a couple of duels, mainly by standing in doorways and refusing to move until we drew our blade. We'd fight, fight some more and he'd refuse to talk to us no matter what. Other than that all that really changed was he had slightly less time to do the same thing to Kirby in bossfights. Elodie ended up recording and broadcasting all the fights to set up something like the WWE for Dreamland to watch while Gar sold popcorn and Yuriko ran a betting pool.

Every time a serious nightmare showed up though, we had an unspoken agreement to team up and gank the shit out of it.

Does anyone know what the full limitations of "Imaginary Form" from Worm would be? assumin this power was heavily exercised by the jumper, and the jumper had a very sound grasp on metaphysical biologies from their travels in evangelion, would it be impossible to become an angel, or swap between different canon angel forms? If not, would other shapeshifting perks and "this is not my final form" help to overlap your perks into whatever form you turn into to cover up for anything you cant necessarily replicate via shapeshifting alone?

Dicepool? If you go Greek pantheon and take maximum arete you should get something like 46 dice in one particular skill to roll? Note that automatic successes go up to the same amount. So if you went Greek you could on autosuxx alone get 46 before rolling dice of the same nature. Also the scaling is so bad that if you don't build for combat (which is 70% of the design, they tell you to make up the rest on your own) you will get splattered. Will, not if. The jumps between number of autosuxx get ridiculous at different points of legend. If you're 2 dots below someone you won't touch/scratch them.

This mind you is not even getting into Knacks, items, boons, or whatnot. As for exalted vs scion, they use different systems so it depends on which system you use. Also that huge dicepool? Greeks only purview of Arete, which costs alot of xp to go through for one particular skill.

Hmm, thought so, I assumed because it didn't function quite like Genesis did we had a better chance. we ourselves turn into the projection, she just sleeps and projects it like a dream if I'm correct. Also thought as a jumper with entire encyclopedias worth of knowledge we might have had a better chance.

As for why I didnt want to become an angel to begin with was because unless I'm missing something about the angel form, it stays with you. And because most angels have a core of somesort, you would always just be a projection of yourself, and would have a permanent weakness that an angel would usually have (not that its alot but still, S2 organ troubles)
At least with the imaginary form, you could still transform back to a person without angel weaknesses IF you could have turned into one. thanks for the answer though.

Tick tock! That's the sound one loves to hear when one is of Xelor's worshippers. The ability to slow down time dramatically and rewind time a few seconds at a time is fun. Unfortunately it would seem that the order the day is wrap your skin in bandages to prevent time warps. I just call upon my robotic armor. It does the same job as the wraps, preventing my body from being torn to bits. I also modified my helmet to be a full faced helmet.

I'm also a Gobbowler as a sprinter, and there's no other sprinter that's like me. Which is great because with the time magic at hand, I rose to be a super star. Yet I grew bored of that, and explored the world for ten years. There was a lot to explore, and the natives of this setting were pretty diverse for being just humans. I did play local matches every now and then, just for hell of it. However my real focus was focusing on time magic. I got the point where I could slow down time for about a minute, rewind it about that much as well.

Not really. None of the towers was built into the crust of the planet for that purpose, as the first tower was built on ground level to serve as an amplifier for song magic, the second is suspended on the air and is used solely to create Metafalica, and the third is just a railgun whose muzzle is pointing at a crater that leads directly to the planet's core and that is designed only to lead the true contact device for the wills of the planet, the XP Shell, to the core.

So while the third tower is the closest to that, none of the three canonical towers nor Vielia's in the jump were built or work like that.

TL;DR - Helped bunch peasants, killed lots of monsters, trained Hamon up again, unlocked Hamon in companions, rickrolled powerful magicians & psionicists that were powerful enough to get past my mental defenses.

We're no strangers to love
You know the rules and so do I
A full commitment's what I'm thinking of
You wouldn't get this from any other guy

I just wanna tell you how I'm feeling
Gotta make you understand

Never gonna give you up
Never gonna let you down
Never gonna run around and desert you
Never gonna make you cry
Never gonna say goodbye
Never gonna tell a lie and hurt you

Yeah, but even with the Cube Yugo was able to snap out of it through force of will, and Grougal was able to kamikaze. It's not even a real time stop, either, since everyone can perceive that time has frozen and think during it - which means it only has combat utility, since everyone will know something seriously wrong is going on when you use it around them.

>any content = good

[quasi-coherent argument about your psychological conditions, semi-coherent argument about unfortunate events in the past attributed to your mindset, fairly coherent outrage ordering you to leave forever]

Let us agree to disagree.

I shall simply point to CYOA general's r9k-like emotional hothouse of histrionic, sad neckbeards who go ballistic over minute differences in fetishes as a reason why. The kind of settings "lewd jumpchain" tends to attract that crowd, which are frankly on the same level of furries in terms of being defensive and obnoxious.

It's more that lewd shit is often really stupid and full of really stupid fetishes and shitty characters.
>>
On the subject of lewd, what's the criteria for deciding if a Jump goes to the folder or not? KS is in it despite the Jump containing zero reference to sex, so is it just based on whether or not the original work is pornographic?

Though I'd understand if KS was banned for other reasons, considering how autistic its fanbase can be.

Yugo & Grougal arent good examples. One's literally a god in human form, the other is an ancient dragon.
>>
>>46986958
The original work has to be based on porn or fetishes with no other redeeming value or focus. That makes it banned. Your shit was banned because fuck the author and fuck the one-noted dating sim.

>>46986978
Well hey, if the waifu is shitty enough, it deserves to be insulted. Just like all bad content. Just like you when you mess up.

We don't have anything to do with that folder. It belongs to another cancerous community.

the magic items in the universe are pretty broken actually, complete universal knowledge, trap your opponents in ironic situations , magic armor that can withstand the heat of the Earth's core, bringing inanimate objects to life, imprisone someone in an inpervious sphere and transfer powers from the prisoner to the prisonee, transform yourself into a cloud of stinging insects, vaporize anything or anybody at will.

Sorry, deleted the other post because I misunderstood your question.

Basically, don't worry about it-like the other guys said it's not our community and we should just ignore it.
