Dagger of invisibility - twice per day this +1 dagger can be made invisible with a command word for up to 10 minutes. It remains invisible even if it strikes an opponent.
>>46748971
actually a good idea my thief will love it
>>46748971
That... could actually be a pretty valuable tool for doctors and such. I could see a doctor needing to use the knife as an emergency scalple and having to do some surgery for some poor hack. That way, blade doesn't get in the way when you're having to dig out that little bit of arrowhead that broke off in the lower back somewhere.
>>46748657
That blade blends so well into the background, for a second I thought that was a Bad Dragon.
>>46748657
Something like mix of returning property and cursed sword maybe. If you want to pull it whenever you pull your dagger it will be at your hand. Regardless of its previous location.
>>46749056
creative
How about one that inflicts +1d6 of a random energy type with each attack?
>>46749056
>>46748971
combining these into one dagger calling it the tricksters friend
>>46748996
Prepare for the inevitable butthurt.
>What do you mean the guards are chasing me? How can they tell I stabbed the king, my dagger's invisible!
>Dude you walked up to the king, thrust your arm out at him, and blood started pouring out his chest.
>BUT MUH INVISIBLE DAGGER
The dagger allows the wielder to use Passwall once per day, but the power only takes effect if the dagger is stabbed into the wall or surface and manages to damage it. The dagger remains lodged in the wall while Passwall is active, and removing it immediately ends the effect.
>>46749109
i deal well with player butthurt
>>46749119
damn thats a neat idea
>>46748891
Legend say that some Keris had the powers to turn their owners into invisible cruise missiles of stab while others would just rattle in their sheaths whenever they'd detect evil.
>>46748996
>>46749109
>just shank somebody in the back in a crowd and walk off
It's fucking magic.
Once per day, if a spell that can target objects is cast on you or another piece of equipment in your possession, you can choose to change its target to this dagger instead.
>>46749143
i shall name it scapegoat
>>46749143
It's a "sacrificial dagger".
Should probably specify that you have to choose before rolling any saves.
>>46749206
ooh good pointcould be abused otherwise
"bloodlust" or whatever dagger.
every time you draw it, you can't drop it until you stab something with it. it demands blood.
but you kind of want to draw it because it's a good dagger. ignores most armor and does bleed damage, or whatever.
if you really feel like a dick, make the curse get worse over time. after a while you have to stab 2 people, then 3, etc. or it starts to whisper at you and make you try to stab your buddies.
>>46749292
love it!
>>46748881
That'd be a doger.
A dagger that is secretlythe second solo album by American recording artist Lionel Richie, released on October 11, 1983 by Motown Records
Once per day, it allows the wielder toparty, Karamu, fiesta, forever.
>>46749292
this is very Sword of Vengencey.

You forget a very important fact: as soon as the dagger becomes invisible, the wielder also doesn't see it, meaning it's use as a precision tool would be 0. Furthermore, precise stabs and slashes would also become impossible, as you can't tell the length or width of the blade.
Basically, this dagger would only be useful for guaranteed kills, like stabbing a non-alert person in the back for example. For fighting, even in a knife fight, it would be highly impractical. If OP still desires to make this an item in his campaign, I would suggest changing the invisibility effect to "the dagger becomes invisible to everyone but the wielder". That way, there's no disadvantage to it.

>t's use as a precision tool would be 0
Meh. The blade is always where the flesh parts.
>>46751507
actually thats part of why i like it iots a boost with a drawback i like my players to think (wich they dont do enough of)
>>46748657
>>46751272
wow
dagger that turns into massive oversized warhammer mid air if thrown. Continues its flight path as if it was still a dagger.
>>46751670
is it still a dagger if it's single edged?
>>46751800
any thin combat knife counts
or all knives for the purpose of dnd

My personal favorite:
>Another Knife
A fairly plain, unornamented but good-quality knife, with no obvious magical qualities. However, when placed in a scabbard, holster, pocket or other hidey-place on its owner's person, the owner has the ability to draw (1/attack-action) an identical copy of the Another Knife from anywhere a knife could logically be hidden (sleeve, boot, behind the neck, etc.). Each copy lasts a round before disappearing into faint white vapor, and counts as a normal, non-magical knife.
Anyone attempting to search the Another Knife's owner for weapons will, predictably, find themselves continually pulling out knife after knife (with each disappearing in turn); finding the actual Another Knife requires a contested Search check against the owner's Sleight of Hand, with the owner having a +10 bonus to his roll even if unaware or restrained.
The owner of the Another Knife may choose to voluntarily draw the Another Knife instead of a copy; doing so renders him unable to draw any copies until the Knife is returned to another holster.

i like it
>>46751824
good
>>46752071
stole these from a previous thread
>Rust
Perfectly clean at all times. Poisons water, including blood when submerged as all the rust it should have developed over its thousand year lifetime is disgorged.
>Nightbearer
A dagger forged from a single lump of blue-blackish metal which is said to contain the very night itself. Drawing blood will make the dagger cause its wielder to blur slightly as if bathed in moonlight in the middle of night. If the dagger is coated in the living blood of its wielder, the wielder will turn invisible.
>>46752101
>triangle knife
shit. wounding 10

Phase dagger
However many times per day, i suggest 1-3, when thrown can phase through a single object up to x feet thick, including people, to reach its target. Thrower must be aware of target and if they miss or throw through something too thick it has a chance of phasing into the object its passing through, becoming stuck inside
>>46752402
could be of use
