What exactly's wrong with the Cabal's weapons in Destiny? The Cabal's Slugger weapons are basically Bolters, they're pretty much the same exact weapons the space marines use.

Also I defintely support this AU Warhammer setting that has xenos that are the space marines like the Cabal.

The Psions are one of the numerous races that are conquered by the Cabal. And the Cabal use them for slave labor, auxiliary forces and also as slave mooks to combat magical forces.

What if the Cabal are a species with extreme sexual dimorphism? we never get to see the faces of psions, and their digit numbers seem to line up, so that would at least imply a shared ancestry. We also know Bungie like to shake up preconceptions about their aliens (the whole human/Sangheili alliance in Halo 3, for example).

They're usually uncanny valley pre-4th edition. Eldar are described as inhuman in behavior and appearance. When I got into Warhammer I was under the impression they were a cross between grey aliens and humans based off of general images. The outline of their eye sockets are often slanted but large, offset by a human-like familiarity. Nowadays they like to make Eldar seem like standard round-faced boobelves, I assume to make them more popular and bring in more $$$. My fucking childhood man :(
