None at all, the rules are exactly the same in both.

For the CRP they basically just put the rules changes in, but got rid of most of the art, "did you know?", and all of the fluff taken out, and the page numbers weren't corrected for the deletions or anything. The LRB6 in the OP just put all that stuff back when someone had a chance.

This has everything and is super condensed, it's good for a start.

Blood Bowl in general isn't super competitive so feel free to make a team and start playing.

Good teams to start with include

Humans or Orcs (you'll learn a good deal with these guys)

Other good teams include (these are all crutches for various reasons)

Dark Elves (with 4 blitzers 1 runner 6 linemen and RR)
Amazons (great team but could be considered a crutch)
Dwarves (you probably won't pass much with them)
Skaven (again, crutch team, hard to learn SPP division with them)
Norse (lots of block but you're av7, crutch and your guys will die)

Basically any team is ok to start with, but orcs and humans are the best.

you need to have less secret weapons and more goblins.

Secret weapon is a rule where your goblin is ejected after a drive (the time between a kick and a TD is a drive)

So with 11 players and 3 secret weapons, after the first td (which could be 2 turns against elves or other fast teams) you then have 3 players booted off, leaving you with 8 regular goblins.

Goblins are also very prone to injuries, so you'll probably have less than 8 goblins standing on the pitch after the first drive (possibly even 0 if you're unlucky) which as you might have guessed it, is not optimal.

I suggest 4 RR and 14 players or 3 RR and 15 players

For example the 15 player variant

this gives you your apo (very important piece), and some money in the bank (to spend on fan-factor or save for replacing goblins)

Another suggested roster is 14 players and 4 RR (although I prefer a variant to this, which I'll discuss later)

1 Pogoer
1 Looney
1 Bombardier
8 Goblins
4 RR

Now, the downside is very clear, you've got 4 secret weapons which means 2 are on the field for the first drive (not that big of a deal to be honest) and no apothecary, so if anyone dies you're SOL.

I prefer dropping a secret weapon for another gobbo (either the bombardier or the pogoer) just because managing secret weapons and stuff is pretty cool.

I have a tackle lineman and a blitzer with guard and tackle. He isn't too hard to score with, I play with an accurate strong arm thrower so I usually throw to my blitzers or catcher and am great at the end of half 2 turn td. But now what do I take?

You may want to check out some of the other leagues on FUMBBL. The big American ones are the NCBB and the NBFL, both based off of American college and professional football respectively (there's even a fun little draft system between the two, where players in the NCBB "graduate" after 4 seasons and become draft picks for NBFL teams).

The NBFL tends to be higher TV and generally doesn't have a lot of openings, but the NCBB always has room for new players.

BB2 makes a lot of skills that should be optional into "always" use. Juggernaut's the one example I remember the most, but there are others. Sometimes there are cases where you *don't* want to use a specific skill for tactical reasons (like not Dodging a hit when you're near a sideline to prevent a surf).

There's also some "balance changes" to the TV of various rosters - nothing big right now, but a rather questionable direction.

There's also the fact that you're paying 40 euros/60$ for essentially an incomplete game - BB2 has only 8 team rosters, and additional ones will be DLC for around 7$ each. You're also pretty much locked into the base game.

On the flip side, FUMBBL is free and has all 20+ CRP rosters. It also implements all the Star Players - incredibly essential, as Chainsaws are very important inducements to have for a rookie team (BB2 still lacks them, I believe). Finally it also has two of the optional card decks implemented - not essential inducements, but it gives you a far better suite of options.

It also allows you to do way more more in terms of custom league management, such as use several different houserules, create custom players, run resurrection-style tournaments, and so on. The development staff are also working on the ability to add custom teams as well.

Got my Elves from Black Scorpion today, had a quick peek at them before they get wrapped up for Christmas.

They look great, well cast. I like how past the head and shoulders they're relatively simple, with high boots. They stand tall too, definitely closer to 30-32mm, so they have a couple of mil on the plastic Humans.

The Blitzers have mad mohawks though, they go all the way down the back too. £22 for the whole team (1 Thrower, 2 Cathers, 2 Blitzers, 6 Linemen) and I stuck on a couple more Catchers at £4 for the pair. Can't complain at all.
